Glaucoma Research Paper
A common misconception is that glaucoma is a singular disease, in fact, it is a collaboration of many
diseases in the eyes that cause glaucoma. these diseases can often lead to loss of vision but, if caught
early, glaucoma, or the smaller diseases which lead to it, can be treated. Like many other diseases, if
caught early, the lasting effects will lessen. The most effected part of the eye is the optic nerve. The
optic nerve s main purpose is to connect the retina and the brain, as to send what the human is seeing
to the brain to process the visual information. The optic nerve contains more than one billion nerve
fibers which each give off their own electrical impulses to send the visual information to the occipital
lobes in the brain. The occipital lobe then processes the information which it receives. The most
prominent type of glaucoma is Open Angle Glaucoma. Open Angle Glaucoma occurs due to the build
up of fluid in the eye. In a fully functional eye, the fluid is secreted continuously and drains out in the
open angle where the iris and the cornea meet. Although the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Some people who are at higher risk or developing glaucoma are, Mexican Americans, African
Americans over the age of 40 and anyone over the age of 60. A good way to check if you are at risk is
to visit the eye doctor and have them perform a comprehensive dilated eye exam. The optometrists
will often perform tests such as visual acuity tests, this checks how far one can see. A visual field test
is also performed which tests ones peripheral vision. the optometrists also do a tonometry test which is
an assessment on eye pressure which is particularly important in detecting glaucoma. They can check
the thickness of ones cornea through a test called pachymetry. Most doctors prescribe specific eye
drops to those who are at high risk of developing glaucoma, these drops usually reduce the chance of
developing glaucoma by about

Essay on A Perfect Day For Bananafish By J.D. Salinger
A Perfect Day For Bananafish
By J.D. Salinger
A Perfect Day For Bananafish was written in 1948 by the American writer Jerome David Salinger.
This was just three years after the ending of World War II, where Salinger was stationed in Berlin,
Germany. From further analysis of the short story I have come to the conclusion that Seymour is
Salinger s role model. Seymour has just returned from World War II, as well as Salinger had when he
wrote the story. Seymour returns to his native country very confused, dysfunctional and with some
psychic issues.
From the conversation between Muriel and her mother, we acknowledge that Seymour didn t act
normally after he has returned from the war. He destroyed all those lovely pictures from Bermuda for

Muriel, Seymour s wife, and her parents, are representing the kind of America the soldiers in World
War II return to. They are unaware of what exactly has taken place and what kinds of unexplainable
cruelties these soldiers have experienced. On top of that, Muriel and her mother seem very self
centered and extremely shallow, which doesn t make it any better for Seymour to return to, even
though they seem to show great concern for him and his kind of behavior. For example, we are being
told about Muriel that she was a girl who for a ringing phone dropped exactly nothing. She looked as
if her phone had been ringing continually ever since she had reached puberty.
Muriel s mother is also extremely concerned for Muriel because now Seymour has some psychic
problems, she sees him as some loony maniac. In spite of this, we know how Seymour behaves in the
episode on the beach with Sybil, and Muriel s beliefs about Seymour are therefore somehow not
entirely correct, even though Seymour does act like one in the elevator on his way back to his hotel
room.
To explain the tragic ending it s important to know that Salinger, at the time he wrote the story,
showed great interest in Zen attitudes. According to Zen attitudes suicide is not a failure, but a
triumph, which

Maumee Ohio Traffic Selection Process
Receiving a citation for breaking an Ohio traffic law can be disturbing, but receiving a guilty charge
can be devastating. The state of Ohio is strict when it comes to ensuring that its drivers follow traffic
laws perfectly. A Toledo OH driver stands to face several consequences if a judge finds that person
guilty of breaking traffic laws. The monetary fine is only part of the penalty. The driver may receive
points on his or her license for the violation, and the points may affect that person s life in an adverse
manner. For example, an employer may turn down a job applicant for a driving position if that person
has too many points on the license. The person s automobile insurance rates may skyrocket, as well.
Examples of Maumee, Ohio Traffic Offenses
The state of Ohio has an extensive list of traffic crimes for which a driver can commit and receive a
citation. Some of the highest point oriented charges are:
Operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol 6 points
Drag racing 6 points
Reckless operation 4 points
Driving without owner consent 6 points

The officer asks for the person s driving credentials and then enlightens that person as to what he or
she did wrong to receive the ticket. The officer will assign a court date, and the person can appear to

has a Parksmart system that a driver can use to pay a ticket. However, paying a ticket is an admission
of guilt for a traffic violation. The state will assign any points that may apply to the offense, and those
points will remain on the driver s record for several

The Imitation Game Analysis
The Imitation Game by Morten Tyldum, is a handsomely engrossing and poignantly melancholic
thriller about code cracking World War Two thrills. Alan Turing successfully attempts to break the
enigma code which leads to 14 million lives being saved and the war being shortened by 2 years.
Conflict is all over this film emotionally and physically, externally and internally, especially in the
protagonist s case, Alan Turing, who isn t exactly a straight forward character. As humans we
generally feel sympathy towards any human, creature, or thing that is unfairly put against or struggles
against the odds just like Alan Turing in the film The Imitation Game . A few examples of odds being
stacked against Turing are; that he was homosexual in a time where this was seen to be a crime and he
is blackmailed and bullied for this all through his life, he was antisocial and very awkward to socialize
with, and more simply because all odds were stacked against him to crack the Enigma code
Alan Turing in The Imitation Game by Morten Tyldum had odds stacked against him as he lived in a
time period where being homosexual could get you arrested and then chemically castrated as it was
also seen as a curable disease. I agree completely with the initial statement as it is a natural instinct for
humans to feel sympathy towards a Character like Alan Turing when all he can do is be himself. When
Turing attended college in 1927 there are many camera shots that suggest that Turing is the less

Negative Effects On Public Media
Today the data linking violence in the television to violence in society are superior to those linking
cancer and tobacco (Grossman 31). The digital revolution of television symbolizes that the
technological advances have taken the lead of modern society. The relation between children s violent
television viewing and their development is assignable in various ways. Research studies raised some
significant questions about this field and suggest the possible negative consequences that televised
violence could bring to the youth. As the most common and popular public media, television deserved
society s critical attention on its detrimental effects among children. People who is responsible for
major consequences should be attacked by actions such as allowing or profiting inappropriate images
on children s programs, which can cause both physical and psychological problems to the youth
viewers and even lead to criminal behaviors. Violent images on children s television programs should
be discern as the complex interplay that lead to major consequences in children s future development.
Nowadays, under the exposure of television, aggressive images are often shown and even suggested in
children s shows or cartoons. Aggressive actions involving animated characters are easy to caught
youngsters attention. Professor Chris Boyatzis , a member of the Cal State Fullerton Child
Development Department, further proved by expressing that, Violent cartoons have been a staple of

Blood tests, a physical examination and information about your medical history will be taken by your

diagnostic tests that your physician may order is something called an electrocardiogram. Electrical
signals are recorded in this electrocardiogram as they travel through your heart. Recommendations of

These two procedures are called angioplasty and bypass surgery. The prognosis differs from patient to
patient. When CHD is found early in its stages, it more than likely will have the best outcome. Eric

away from home. There are many things that I would say to Eric regarding his lifestyle and CAD. One
would be that he has to quit smoking. Eric should know that he is les likely to get coronary artery
disease if he quits smoking. He should also take into consideration of peoples chances of coronary
artery disease being greater just by being around second hand smoke. This means that the people he
loves has a greater chance of getting coronary artery disease because of the smoke they are around.
Who would want that? Something to really think about. When you quit smoking, it lowers your risk

important fact and reason for you to quit smoking. Death due to heart disease is exactly as if you never

Social Anxiety And Social Depression
Social anxiety is condition that has been described since the days of Hippocrates. Hippocrates
described an individual who would avoid social outings due to being timid, bashful, and fear of being
misused, disgraced, make a fool of himself, or being sick and believes he is constantly being watched.
Will the man who suffers from social anxiety react differently to mistakes based on social context? A
study by Barker, Troller Renfree, Pine, Fox in 2015 attempted to test that. Baker et al. tried to measure
the error related negativity, an event potential that occurs 50 ms after the faulty response. The purpose
of the study was to see if there is a relationship between the magnitude of the ERN and social anxiety.
Barker et al. used two groups of individuals. The first group was a group that hardly exhibit social
anxiety and the second group was a group that exhibited high levels of social anxiety. The first group
has 10 males and 11 females and the second group had 11 males and 11 females. The individuals were
selected by using the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale. Participants in the study also completed the
Penn State Worry Questionnaire and the Beck Depression Inventory. The reason why Barker et al.
selected the PSWQ is because it has shown high internal reliability in clinical and normative
populations and has demonstrated the ability to be able to distinguish between the constructs of worry,
anxiety, and depression. The BDI was selected because it has shown the ability to

Cognitive Therapy for Depression
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to inform the reader of the theory of Cognitive Therapy for Depression. In
doing so, I will discuss the evidence that supports the use of cognitive therapy for depression, the
advantages and the disadvantages. The usage of cognitive therapy with children for depression and
ending with the assumptions associated with the theory.
Cognitive Therapy for Depression
Cognitive Therapy (CT) is a form of psychotherapy that was developed by the famed psychiatrist
Aaron T. Beck. This style of therapy is one that seeks to change the unrealistic views and way of
thinking of the client. Psychologists using a cognitive therapy approach recognize that psychological

Advantages of Cognitive Therapy Antidepressant medication is the most popular treatment for
depression. Studies have suggested that cognitive therapy of depression might have a significant
advantage over medication in preventing relapses or recurrences (Robinson, 2005). Despite the
alarming prevalence of depression in society, there is yet no completely adequate explanation as to
how or why it occurs (Robinson, 2005). The three major etiological models for understanding
depression are cognitive models (based on the work of Beck Ellis), biological models that link
depression to variance in biochemistry (Robinson, 2005), and diathesis stress models that view
depression as the result of a complex interaction of contextual factors and intra individual factors
(Robinson, 2005). There is some evidence to suggest that once treatment to remission from depression
is terminated that pharmacologically treated patients were twice as likely to relapse than patients
treated with cognitive therapy (Miller, 1989). Many studies have reported evidence of negative
cognitive patterns among depressed individuals. A self deprecating style, negative attitudes toward the
future and negative automatic thoughts frequently are associated with depression (Miller, 1989).
Scholars have identified latent cognitions or dysfunctional

Marriage in Jane Austen´s Pride and Prejudice
Throughout the history of literature there have been many connections made between writers and their
reoccurring styles of writing found in each of their literary works. Jane Austen is only one example of
this type of author who exemplifies a style of repetition by using repetitious themes. Theme is a very
important literary element in any piece of literature. Themes teach the reader a life lesson, often times
lending advice or a point of view. In Jane Austen s novel, Pride and Prejudice, she uses themes which
can also be found in other pieces of literature written by Austen. These themes deal with the subjects
of; marriage, good breeding and appearances, social rank and morals, and happiness. In the novel

Darcy revels this fact to Elizabeth stating, I have no wish of denying that I did everything in my power
to separate my friend from your sister, or that I rejoice in my success. Towards him I have been kinder
than towards myself (pg 162). At the end of the novel Jane Bennet is completely in love and engaged
to Mr. Bingley, who reciprocates the feeling. Miss Bennet even breaks out of her shyness to flirt with
Mr. Bingley which is what proves to Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley that Jane does share his feelings of
attraction. Mrs. Bennet is an interesting character who is strong willed but at the same time not very
intelligent. Throughout the novel Mrs. Bennet makes foolish assumptions, decisions, and statements
that are clearly untrue and is one who changes her mind often depending on who is pleasing her at that
moment in time. Mrs. Bennet does however have somewhat of a grasp on the business affair idea of

will need to make sure they are all married to men who will be able to support them and their families.

of the novel when she has three of her five daughters married off. Mrs. Bennet is blunt in stating her

Essay on Padres and Indians
One of the things which largely go unrecognized is how vital the missions were to the military in
California in the 19th century. Since the military in California received little to no support during the
Mexican revolution against Spain, and suffered more after Mexico won its independence from Spain
in 1821. In particular, Mission San Jose was expected to furnish food to the military presidios as a way
of preventing famines. In fact this had been established in the 1770 s with the Reglamento,
It is also important to note that in Spanish California at this time, the dominant economic system was
based on that of bartering. Pesos were far more an abstract economic factor for both the missionaries

But for the present the mission offers 200 pesos, the only ones it has and 300 fanegas of wheat for
trade with the Russian ship if it enters, etc., all for the sole purpose of helping the troops.
This letter from Duran was in response to an earlier circular (a letter which was sent to all missions)
from Fr. SarrĂa in which he stated:
You know the state of the nation and the misery an suffering of the monarchy on account of the war. I
know it is not good to dispossess the neophytes but it is essential for the missions to contribute goods
and other necessities for the maintenance of the troops and their families as we did last yeafr and
which we must do again. It is our patriotic duty.
Duran s response to SarrĂa is interesting on two levels. The first level is his mention of trade with the
Russian ships. One of the primary roles for colonizing Alta California (and utilizing the evangelizing
fervor of the Franciscan missionaries for this was to create a bulwark against foreign incursions,
primarily of the Russians, though later the English and the Americans would enter into the mix. This
was accomplished easily enough during the early days of the missions existence when they were
struggling just to survive. In the beginning, the missions had nothing which the commercial interest
(which was the driving force of an empire) would be interested in, since at that time the missions were
barely producing enough to support themselves, let alone produce surplus for sale. This

Essay On Light And Light
And God said, Let there be light, and there was light ( Genesis 1:3). This sentence can be the most
famous sentence that has ever been written. When light was created, the faith of the universe, earth
and humanity was completely redesigned. The control of our universe was given to its owner, light.
We wereare born into a universe that light governs us. However, we couldn t realize it in a short span
of time. After that moment, the perception of humanity towards light, a mysterious phenomenon, has
altered a lot; nevertheless, light has never lost its meaning of being fundamental for anything related to
human, conversely, we discovered beyond what we knew about it.
Even for the early humans, light was a fundamental source of life and power. Thousands of years ago,

The Top Airline Industry
Executive summary
Being one of the top airline industry for almost half a decade, Kingfisher airline went into bankruptcy
recently. Unstable top management coupled with some bad decisions hampered the growth of
kingfisher Airlines. Constant change in the management, sudden shift from economy segment to
luxury segment, a decision to buy Air Deccan even though Kingfisher was not making enough profits,
lack of strategic decision from top management to tackle the soaring fuel prices tied with some other
unhealthy decisions made them to face the contraction portion of business cycle. Kingfisher Airlines
did not recover well from that stage and at the certain time even government denied to bailout
kingfisher from bankruptcy, management staff went on indefinite strike because of the unpaid salaries,
as time passed by customers started to lose trust and there were no hopes for kingfisher other than
shutting down. This case study focuses on some of the major reasons for the failure along with our
analytical view depicted with some of the foremost principles of quality management. Being business
graduates we endeavored to give some of results and recommendations which would have saved them
from bankruptcy.

Compare And Contrast Hyde And Frankenstein
Dantès is also shown to be similar to Frankenstein and Jekyll, in that the three are unable to escape
from their creations. Dantès and Jekyll are trapped more so than Frankenstein, as they are the same
person as their creations, whereas Frankenstein is trapped by being unable to bring himself to create a
female creature due to the effect it may have on society. Frankenstein s identity is called into question
here, as he becomes almost defined, in the Creature s eyes, as being unable to keep his word. The
Creature s words show a parallel between himself and Hyde and Frankenstein and Jekyll: You are my
creator, but I am your master obey!
The verb obey causes the creator s identities to be reduced to that of slaves: Frankenstein is forced ...

When Dantès is imprisoned, he loses his name, Hyde is known solely by his appearance, and the
Creature is never given a name. This contrasts with the socially accepted Monte Cristo, Henry Jekyll
and Victor Frankenstein. Their names allow them to be accepted by, not forgotten about, shunned, or
left incapable of joining, society. Unlike Hyde and Dantès, the Creature is never named. He is
constantly referred to as a creature and a miserable fiend. This mainly comes through Frankenstein s
point of view, which suggests that the Creature s monstrousness stems from Frankenstein s
perceptions of him and the way he is originally presented to the reader. Had the novel been written
from his point of view, it can be suggested that the Creature would not be viewed as such a monster by
society, and readers would have more sympathy for him. The absence causes him to be dehumanised
in a similar way to Dantès, who is renamed Number 34. Hyde, however, is named, allowing Jekyll s
view of his alter ego being natural and human to be more accepted by society. Hyde s naturalness can
said to be due to his evilness as he represents the original sin found inside all of us. Dantès and the
Creature are shunned by society when they are without a name because they are distanced from
society. Whilst Dantès distance is literal as he has been taken away from Marseille, the Creature s
distance remains figurative he follows Frankenstein and is in fact very close to society. His distance
stems from his hideousness and the absence of a name to introduce himself by. He is left to forge his
own identity which comes as an incredibly hard task. Modern readers have felt sympathy for the
Creature in his struggle to be accepted: Shelley s use of his point of view in the novel aids this,
however at the time of writing, readers generally viewed the Creature as a

that all values are therefore significant within its set of values. The ratio ten to ten achieved liftoff for
two of its three launches, though only one of them actually escaped the guidance rod used to keep the
rocket going straight up. The one that did not travel upward instead burned and melted its way through
its PVC casing. The data set s values, five feet, two feet, and zero feet, have no mode. Their mean is

In the chemical formula, 5 C12H22O11 + 48 KNO3 → 24 K2CO3 + 36 CO2 + 55 H2O+24 N2, the
ratio of oxidizer to fuel is 48:5 in moles, or 4852.8 grams of potassium nitrate to 1711.5 grams of
sucrose, which simplify to 2.8 grams of oxidizer per gram of fuel. This means that the potassium
nitrate is used up 2.8 times faster than the sugar, therefore requiring more potassium nitrate to sugar.
None of the ratios tested have this exact proportion, in fact all of the ratios have a smaller percentage
of oxidizer than is advised, promoting the conclusion that the potassium nitrate is the limiting reactant,
running out first. The ratios simplify to as follows: 7:13 has 0.54 grams of oxidizer per gram of fuel,
10:10 has a 1:1, and 13:7 being has 1.86 grams per gram of fuel. One would notice that as the ratio of
oxidizer per fuel increases, the launch height also increases. It can therefore be determined that as one
gets closer to the ratio of 2.8:1, the engines serve more positively, proposing a direct correlation
between the two. This serves an explanation as to why the thirteen to seven ratio created the best
results, whereas the other rockets created little to no

The State of Ethics and Professionalism in the Field of...
INTRODUCTION
Ethics and professionalism are important aspects in any career field. As a business person, it is easy
for the author to consider ethics and professionalism being forefront issues in creating a lasting
business anywhere in the world. In this project, research was carried out regarding ethics and
professionalism in entrepreneurship. This research was done on the widest basis and not specifically
of entrepreneurship in the information technology industry. The assumption being, ethics and
professionalism have general overarching qualities that often transcend fields. Main issues to be
addressed will be firstly to identify solid meanings of the words ethics , professionalism and
entrepreneur , the importance of these two qualities in business, and the greatest ethical challenges and
moral dilemmas that the two professionals I interviewed face in business. In addition, we will also
look at how these individuals cultivate professionalism and excellence in their chosen field. Having
looked at the preceding areas, we shall commence to illustrate what I believe constitutes a good
professional. All in the while, there shall be an attempt to provide plentiful evidence from literature
consulted for this purpose.
DEFINING ETHICS
Ethics is a very pertinent issue in Malawi s current state of affairs in the private and especially public
sectors. The recent revelation of scandalous looting dubbed the Cashgate scandal has displayed to

Evaluating The Sources Of Data Variable Is A Controlled Or...
A hypothesis is a point of research for evaluating the sources of data in either a controlled or
uncontrolled experiment using variables. An hypothesis is the prediction that requires the process of
being proved of being false or true (Bowles, 2013). A hypothesis must be clear and simple to
understand that states the purpose of a test. It must contain logical and be testable. The hypothesis
defines what data variable are considered for testing. The development of a hypothesis begins with
identifying the object with an abstract concept of the research and relationship to a statement being
evaluated (Bowles, 2013). There are four stages to testing a hypothesis in statics. The four stages are
state the hypothesis, set criteria for a decision, collect the data, and evaluated the data. A hypothesis
statement contains two parts a null hypothesis and and alternative hypothesis. The null hypothesis is
represented as Ho or Hn that is believed to be true or a basis for an argument (Tayor, 2016). It always
has a equal sign (Tanner Youssef Morgan, 2013). The alternative hypothesis is represented as Hi or Ha
that is established as an opposite of the Ho. Ha can only be reached by the rejection of the Ho. Ha is
the desired outcome. A example of a stated hypothesis is as followed: Ho: p = p, and Ha: p =/= p
(Zhong Zhong, 2013). The criteria for accepting and rejecting the hypothesis depends on a specific
calculated value set by the research. The criteria value has to

Benefits Of Designing An Ecommerce Website
Designing an eCommerce website isn t as easy as you would think it would be. You always need to be
cutting edge when it comes to your design so that visitors will want to purchase what you have listed
on your website. Every day it gets more difficult to stick with the trends that keep people purchasing
form your website. It could be a new social platform popping up for your niche which you need to
exploit or a Google algorithm change that makes it so that you need to edit every single page on your
website. If you re not standing out from the crowd, then you re going to get left behind while others

3: 360 Degree Viewing This isn t a well established design idea because not many people are doing it,
obviously lol. You would need to have access to the items and a camera system that will allow you to
take a 360 degree picture, which isn t cheap I would assume. People like drop shippers who wouldn t
have access to their items wouldn t be able to do something like this, but they could always take
multiple pictures so when clicking Next or an arrow to view the next picture, it would look like the
product is turning in a 360 degree motion. It s the same concept except the user has to click more lol.
4: The Grid When searching through products, you may want to have as many of them showing as
possible. With the grid option I can get 3 or 4 products on a row instead of just 1 with some basic
information. I can pair this up with the pop out info feature to maximize my revenue, but I m
wondering if the grid option

Sports Controversy
I think participating in sports deffently has a positive effect on children and teens. One of the very
many reasons, is that kids will learn a lot from being on a competitive team. They will learn about
rules, sportsmenship, obidence, and teamwork. Most kids love sports, and when they are younger they
will do anything to join with there friends. They get to seek out what sport they love most, and
participate in it until there senior year in high school or college. Seeing the downside to sports I guess
you can say is easy. Like not having enough time for homework, school, friends and family. Parents
can argue on that fact for hours, but I guess it all really depends on the child. If a kids friends are
doing the same sport, taking the same

Red Kangaroo Research Paper
The Red Kangaroo is a herbivore, meaning that its main energy source consists of plants that are high
in fibre and starch. It is difficult to break cellulose down and other cell wall thickenings in plant
material. So, the cellulose cell walls they create a barrier around the cell contents preventing enzymes
from reaching the high energy, starchy contents of the cell, which can be capable of being digested.
Herbivores need to s large amount of chewing to eventually break down cellulose walls, thus exposing
starchy contents and also to increase the surface area of cell walls that are exposed to microbes, which
can digest cellulose. Cellulose cannot be used as an efficient energy source for herbivores unless
microbes are present in the gut thus; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The digestive tract starts at the kangaroo s jaw to suit the kangaroo s grazing habits with the snout
being elongated. Kangaroo teeth endure a lot of wear and tear. The bottom incisors are attached by
ligament allowing the gap to snip through individually selected grasses, ensuring the ingestion of the
best available forage. The forward drift of molars guarantees that the teeth are not in occlusion
allowing for a durability of dentition for a long period of time as it shoves the other molars towards
the front, forcing the worn molars in front to move out. The stomach of a kangaroo is a long, tubular,
colon like organ that consists of two main sections, which include the enlarged fore stomach and the
hind stomach. The fore stomach is split into two chambers, which include the sacciform and tubiform.
The ventral fold separates both chambers. The sacciform a storage compartment, has been reduced in
size over time through evolution. The tubiform fore stomach is mostly used for fermentation;
however, microbial fermentation takes part in both sections of the fore stomach. The saclike front
chamber of the stomach contains bacteria, fungi and protozoa that initiate the process of fermentation
that is essential for the kangaroo to digest its food

they had been attacked by North Vietnamese forces. President Lyndon B. Johnson demanded
authorization from the United States Congress to augment US military presence in Vietnam. As a
result, congress ended up passing the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution which authorized President Jonson to
act any way to retaliate against the Vietnamese. Later on, many would question if either attacks had
taken place. Key leaders included Barry Goldwater, William Westmoreland who was the US general

Abstract Art Analysis
Harry Hopkins was the savior of art culture during the Great Depression, as a matter of fact, Artists
wasn t originally included in the New Deal development. President Franklyn Roosevelt was not
considering them as people who worked for a living, strangely enough, he placed Hopkins in charge
of the program. He believed the artists had to generate earnings for their selves as well. The money
they will spend in the economy will help create jobs. The government treated the artist like employees
giving them paintings quotas. Federal Government wasn t governing the type of painting being made
by the artist. Majority of the artists expresses a political undertone in their paintings. The United
States is a melting pot of nationalities, all nationalities were leaving their homeland to find a better
quality of life. Creating a connection to other countries and allowing cultures to have a profound
influence on United States citizens. Abstract art was derived from Europe Magazine Der Strum in
1920, World War I, Germany was to first express this kind of art, in fact, it was named German
Expressionism. Ending of World War II, the United States developed their ideology of abstract
expressionism.
Art with Democratic Values In 1938, Daniel R. Celentano painted a Houseboat overcrowded with an

Donald Trump Self Destruction
The Next Big Self Destruction: Donald Trump
In America, politics are a large asset in the regular person s day to day life. Unfortunately, many
politicians are self consumed and are more worried about their ego, popularity, and power more than
the actual issues of America. In 2016, if I were to name off the characteristics: egotistical, uneducated,
inexperienced, arrogant, and outspoken, many people would name the leading politician, and possible
presidential candidate, Donald Trump. In fact, Donald Trump has been compared to Lonesome
Rhodes, from the 1957 movie A Face in the Crowd. Lonesome Rhodes and Donald Trump share many
characteristics, and the events and obstacles that Rhodes faced, are very similar to the ones that Trump
has faced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When either of these men are asked a difficult question or asked about their standpoint on a specific
topic, they will offer a short, simple answer, and then continue on a tangent about their rating or their
success. For example, Rhodes responded to an unrelated question by exclaiming 53.7% this morning,
and I got another million! Likewise, Trump will respond to such questions with a completely different
hot topic to try and reel more people in by promising them the impossible. Additionally, both these
men are impulsive and indecisive, meaning they make decisions on the run without out much logically
thought, and then they change their minds often. Rhodes displayed these characteristics by becoming
someone he never said he would become, and even his friend, Marsha, noticed and she called him out
on it by saying You re becoming all the things that you used to barfoon. Comparably, Trump used to
be a democrat, as well as Hillary Clinton s biggest supporter. Now, Trump is as conservative as one
may get, and he has nothing good to say about Hillary, which supports that he is indecisive. In the
long run, the people of America would not be able to trust these men with decision

I earnestly believe in the democracy not only of America but of every awakened people that wishes
and intends to govern and control its own affairs. His perspective of the ownership of liberty would

Since the 1990 s, Spain has entered the global market to claim its position as a high quality value wine
producer (www.winesfromspain.com). Spain s rich wine history together with it s relatively new
global market entry and cost leadership strategy makes an interesting blend of old world and new
world characteristics. State of the Industry Wine is a significant part of Spain s cultural identity and
economy. The sector represents Spain s third largest agriculture crop after cereals and olives, and it

However, most the land is arid and sparsely planted. Yet, it holds third position globally in wine
volume produced (Rubio, 2010). Although Spain has a traditional wine and food culture, domestic
consumption continues to decline. The decreased consumption is attributed to strict drunk driving
laws impacting restaurant sales and the rise of alternative drinks such as mineral water (Carrion and
Albaladejo, 2010). Also, millennials tend to not drink wine. In fact, the characteristic Spanish wine
drinker is an older male with a preference for high quality aged DO red wines that drinks at home, an
aging demographic. Spain s domestic market consumes 28.2 liters per capita compared to France at 50
liters per capita necessitating an aggressive export strategy (Mtimet and Albisu; Minjares). Exports

Coming From Childhood Into Womanhood
In Coming to age in Mississippi Moody describes her life from childhood into Womanhood in rural
Mississippi. Her autobiography provides incite into the atrocities committed in the south due to racism
and prejudice. Moody illustrates how the economic, and social injustices of the 1940s and 50s plagued
her childhood. Inspiring her to make a change as a leading advocate during the Civil Rights
Movement. From her earliest memories Moody recognized the color of skin would dictate her
finances. In the first chapter of her autobiography, moody describes the rickety one bedroom shack
that was up on the hill with Mr. Carters big white house . her sharecropping family lived in when she
was four years old. Throughout her adolescence Moody continued living in small, old homes, until
Raymond builds the family a five bedroom home, none the less the bathroom was still outdoors.
Moody s incite of the economic contrast between the whites and blacks of her town increases when
she works white homes and observes the differences. Ms. Ola s bathroom was a subject of awe for
moody as a young girl, the white bathtub and soft pink rug seemed luxurious to Moody who bathed in
a tin tub moody uses a metal tub to bathe in, so the porcelain white bathtub truly seemed luxurious to
Moody. Similarly, to Moody s less than suitable living conditions Moody and her family suffered from
hunger, sometimes only having beans for dinner. She recalled that Sometimes Mama would bring us

The Evolution Of Stem Cells
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the potential to differentiate into specialized cells that
make up various organs in our body. Intriguingly, if the stem cells are given the right conditions, they
can divide, differentiate and self organize to form an organ by itself. Organs formed in this manner are
called organoids. Specifically, Organoids are structures resembling organs, generated from embryonic
stem cells in a three dimensional culture system similar to in vivo. However, these structures need to
possess specific characteristics in order to be termed as organoids; must contain multiple cell types of
the organ it models (organ specific), must exhibit some specific functions of that organ and the cells
should be spastically organized to mimic the targeted organ. Organoids have the ability to recapitulate
the organ by self organizing itself. Self organizing is governed by the combination of sorting out and
fate specification and also, due to a growing movement away from two dimensional culture. Different
organoids can be generated different organs. Although, the generation of 3D organoids is a relatively
new concept, it holds the potential to make promising changes in the field of medicine. Organoids are
mostly formed by differentiation and culturing of stem cells. The general procedure used for
generating organoid involves growing embryoid from stem cells. The embryo has 3 germ layers:
endoderm, ectoderm and mesoderm which differentiate to form various

Drugs And The Treatment Of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome Essay
Has anyone ever known an alcoholic? Perhaps someone you love such as a spouse, a family member,
or a friend? Have you ever wished there was a magic pill that could cure Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
and Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome (AWS)? Researchers have discovered medications that could cure
this disorder. In the article Baclofen in the Treatment of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome: A
Comparative Study vs Diazepam , authors Giovanni Addolorato, MD, Lorenzo Leggio, MD, Ludovico
Abenavoli, MD, Roberta Agabio, MD, Fabio Caputo, MD, Esmeralda Capristo, MD, Giancarlo
Colombo, PhD, Gian Luigi Gessa, MD, and Giovanni Gasbarrini, MD discuss the benefits of using
medication to aide in the side effects of AWS. Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) is a debilitating disease
that should be treated using the medications Baclofen or Diazepam because research has shown that
both medications significantly reduce anxiety, tremors, shakes, and agitation which are symptoms of
alcohol withdrawal symptoms (AWS) (baclofen.org, 2006). AUD is a pattern of uncontrollable alcohol
consumption. It causes a person s life to be preoccupied with alcohol, and if not consumed, it causes
AWS. It can range from mild to severe, but a mild case can escalate and lead to serious problems. It is
important to treat even a mild case as early as possible (mayoclinic.org, 2015).
Alcoholism affects vital organs in the human body such as the liver, the heart and the brain. The liver

  • 2. Glaucoma Research Paper A common misconception is that glaucoma is a singular disease, in fact, it is a collaboration of many diseases in the eyes that cause glaucoma. these diseases can often lead to loss of vision but, if caught early, glaucoma, or the smaller diseases which lead to it, can be treated. Like many other diseases, if caught early, the lasting effects will lessen. The most effected part of the eye is the optic nerve. The optic nerve s main purpose is to connect the retina and the brain, as to send what the human is seeing to the brain to process the visual information. The optic nerve contains more than one billion nerve fibers which each give off their own electrical impulses to send the visual information to the occipital lobes in the brain. The occipital lobe then processes the information which it receives. The most prominent type of glaucoma is Open Angle Glaucoma. Open Angle Glaucoma occurs due to the build up of fluid in the eye. In a fully functional eye, the fluid is secreted continuously and drains out in the open angle where the iris and the cornea meet. Although the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The optometrists will often perform tests such as visual acuity tests, this checks how far one can see. A visual field test is also performed which tests ones peripheral vision. the optometrists also do a tonometry test which is an assessment on eye pressure which is particularly important in detecting glaucoma. They can check the thickness of ones cornea through a test called pachymetry. • 3. Essay on A Perfect Day For Bananafish By J.D. Salinger A Perfect Day For Bananafish By J.D. Salinger A Perfect Day For Bananafish was written in 1948 by the American writer Jerome David Salinger. This was just three years after the ending of World War II, where Salinger was stationed in Berlin, Germany. From further analysis of the short story I have come to the conclusion that Seymour is Salinger s role model. Seymour has just returned from World War II, as well as Salinger had when he wrote the story. Seymour returns to his native country very confused, dysfunctional and with some psychic issues. From the conversation between Muriel and her mother, we acknowledge that Seymour didn t act normally after he has returned from the war. He destroyed all those lovely pictures from Bermuda for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Muriel, Seymour s wife, and her parents, are representing the kind of America the soldiers in World War II return to. They are unaware of what exactly has taken place and what kinds of unexplainable cruelties these soldiers have experienced. On top of that, Muriel and her mother seem very self centered and extremely shallow, which doesn t make it any better for Seymour to return to, even though they seem to show great concern for him and his kind of behavior. For example, we are being told about Muriel that she was a girl who for a ringing phone dropped exactly nothing. She looked as if her phone had been ringing continually ever since she had reached puberty. Muriel s mother is also extremely concerned for Muriel because now Seymour has some psychic problems, she sees him as some loony maniac. In spite of this, we know how Seymour behaves in the episode on the beach with Sybil, and Muriel s beliefs about Seymour are therefore somehow not entirely correct, even though Seymour does act like one in the elevator on his way back to his hotel room. To explain the tragic ending it s important to know that Salinger, at the time he wrote the story, showed great interest in Zen attitudes. According to Zen attitudes suicide is not a failure, but a triumph, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Toledo OH driver stands to face several consequences if a judge finds that person guilty of breaking traffic laws. The monetary fine is only part of the penalty. The driver may receive points on his or her license for the violation, and the points may affect that person s life in an adverse manner. • 5. The Imitation Game Analysis The Imitation Game by Morten Tyldum, is a handsomely engrossing and poignantly melancholic thriller about code cracking World War Two thrills. Alan Turing successfully attempts to break the enigma code which leads to 14 million lives being saved and the war being shortened by 2 years. Conflict is all over this film emotionally and physically, externally and internally, especially in the protagonist s case, Alan Turing, who isn t exactly a straight forward character. As humans we generally feel sympathy towards any human, creature, or thing that is unfairly put against or struggles against the odds just like Alan Turing in the film The Imitation Game . A few examples of odds being stacked against Turing are; that he was homosexual in a time where this was seen to be a crime and he is blackmailed and bullied for this all through his life, he was antisocial and very awkward to socialize with, and more simply because all odds were stacked against him to crack the Enigma code Alan Turing in The Imitation Game by Morten Tyldum had odds stacked against him as he lived in a time period where being homosexual could get you arrested and then chemically castrated as it was also seen as a curable disease. I agree completely with the initial statement as it is a natural instinct for humans to feel sympathy towards a Character like Alan Turing when all he can do is be himself. The digital revolution of television symbolizes that the technological advances have taken the lead of modern society. The relation between children s violent television viewing and their development is assignable in various ways. Research studies raised some significant questions about this field and suggest the possible negative consequences that televised violence could bring to the youth. As the most common and popular public media, television deserved society s critical attention on its detrimental effects among children. People who is responsible for major consequences should be attacked by actions such as allowing or profiting inappropriate images on children s programs, which can cause both physical and psychological problems to the youth viewers and even lead to criminal behaviors. Violent images on children s television programs should be discern as the complex interplay that lead to major consequences in children s future development. • 8. Social Anxiety And Social Depression Social anxiety is condition that has been described since the days of Hippocrates. Hippocrates described an individual who would avoid social outings due to being timid, bashful, and fear of being misused, disgraced, make a fool of himself, or being sick and believes he is constantly being watched. Will the man who suffers from social anxiety react differently to mistakes based on social context? A study by Barker, Troller Renfree, Pine, Fox in 2015 attempted to test that. Baker et al. tried to measure the error related negativity, an event potential that occurs 50 ms after the faulty response. The purpose of the study was to see if there is a relationship between the magnitude of the ERN and social anxiety. Barker et al. used two groups of individuals. The first group was a group that hardly exhibit social anxiety and the second group was a group that exhibited high levels of social anxiety. The first group has 10 males and 11 females and the second group had 11 males and 11 females. The individuals were selected by using the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale. Participants in the study also completed the Penn State Worry Questionnaire and the Beck Depression Inventory. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Advantages of Cognitive Therapy Antidepressant medication is the most popular treatment for depression. Studies have suggested that cognitive therapy of depression might have a significant advantage over medication in preventing relapses or recurrences (Robinson, 2005). Despite the alarming prevalence of depression in society, there is yet no completely adequate explanation as to how or why it occurs (Robinson, 2005). The three major etiological models for understanding depression are cognitive models (based on the work of Beck Ellis), biological models that link depression to variance in biochemistry (Robinson, 2005), and diathesis stress models that view depression as the result of a complex interaction of contextual factors and intra individual factors (Robinson, 2005). There is some evidence to suggest that once treatment to remission from depression is terminated that pharmacologically treated patients were twice as likely to relapse than patients treated with cognitive therapy (Miller, 1989). Many studies have reported evidence of negative cognitive patterns among depressed individuals. A self deprecating style, negative attitudes toward the future and negative automatic thoughts frequently are associated with depression (Miller, 1989). Dantès and Jekyll are trapped more so than Frankenstein, as they are the same person as their creations, whereas Frankenstein is trapped by being unable to bring himself to create a female creature due to the effect it may have on society. When Dantès is imprisoned, he loses his name, Hyde is known solely by his appearance, and the Creature is never given a name. This contrasts with the socially accepted Monte Cristo, Henry Jekyll and Victor Frankenstein. Their names allow them to be accepted by, not forgotten about, shunned, or left incapable of joining, society. Unlike Hyde and Dantès, the Creature is never named. He is constantly referred to as a creature and a miserable fiend. This mainly comes through Frankenstein s point of view, which suggests that the Creature s monstrousness stems from Frankenstein s perceptions of him and the way he is originally presented to the reader. Had the novel been written from his point of view, it can be suggested that the Creature would not be viewed as such a monster by society, and readers would have more sympathy for him. The absence causes him to be dehumanised in a similar way to Dantès, who is renamed Number 34. Hyde, however, is named, allowing Jekyll s view of his alter ego being natural and human to be more accepted by society. Hyde s naturalness can said to be due to his evilness as he represents the original sin found inside all of us. Dantès and the Creature are shunned by society when they are without a name because they are distanced from society. Whilst Dantès distance is literal as he has been taken away from Marseille, the Creature s distance remains figurative he follows Frankenstein and is in fact very close to society. His distance stems from his hideousness and the absence of a name to introduce himself by. He is left to forge his own identity which comes as an incredibly hard task. Modern readers have felt sympathy for the Creature in his struggle to be accepted: Shelley s use of his point of view in the novel aids this, however at the time of writing, readers generally viewed the Creature as a ... • 21. Vertical Rocket Altimeter Experiment The ratio seven to thirteen never gained any altitude, remaining at zero for every launch. They merely burned and sputtered, then the ejection charge went off without ever getting off the ground. As a result, all of its values, mean, median, mode, range, even standard deviation, are zeroes. This means that all values are therefore significant within its set of values. The ratio ten to ten achieved liftoff for two of its three launches, though only one of them actually escaped the guidance rod used to keep the rocket going straight up. The one that did not travel upward instead burned and melted its way through its PVC casing. The data set s values, five feet, two feet, and zero feet, have no mode. Their mean is two and one third feet with a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the chemical formula, 5 C12H22O11 + 48 KNO3 → 24 K2CO3 + 36 CO2 + 55 H2O+24 N2, the ratio of oxidizer to fuel is 48:5 in moles, or 4852.8 grams of potassium nitrate to 1711.5 grams of sucrose, which simplify to 2.8 grams of oxidizer per gram of fuel. This means that the potassium nitrate is used up 2.8 times faster than the sugar, therefore requiring more potassium nitrate to sugar. None of the ratios tested have this exact proportion, in fact all of the ratios have a smaller percentage of oxidizer than is advised, promoting the conclusion that the potassium nitrate is the limiting reactant, running out first. The ratios simplify to as follows: 7:13 has 0.54 grams of oxidizer per gram of fuel, 10:10 has a 1:1, and 13:7 being has 1.86 grams per gram of fuel. One would notice that as the ratio of oxidizer per fuel increases, the launch height also increases. It can therefore be determined that as one gets closer to the ratio of 2.8:1, the engines serve more positively, proposing a direct correlation between the two. This serves an explanation as to why the thirteen to seven ratio created the best results, whereas the other rockets created little to no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a business person, it is easy for the author to consider ethics and professionalism being forefront issues in creating a lasting business anywhere in the world. In this project, research was carried out regarding ethics and professionalism in entrepreneurship. This research was done on the widest basis and not specifically of entrepreneurship in the information technology industry. The assumption being, ethics and professionalism have general overarching qualities that often transcend fields. Main issues to be addressed will be firstly to identify solid meanings of the words ethics , professionalism and entrepreneur , the importance of these two qualities in business, and the greatest ethical challenges and moral dilemmas that the two professionals I interviewed face in business. In addition, we will also look at how these individuals cultivate professionalism and excellence in their chosen field. Having looked at the preceding areas, we shall commence to illustrate what I believe constitutes a good professional. All in the while, there shall be an attempt to provide plentiful evidence from literature consulted for this purpose. DEFINING ETHICS Ethics is a very pertinent issue in Malawi s current state of affairs in the private and especially public sectors. • 23. Evaluating The Sources Of Data Variable Is A Controlled Or... A hypothesis is a point of research for evaluating the sources of data in either a controlled or uncontrolled experiment using variables. An hypothesis is the prediction that requires the process of being proved of being false or true (Bowles, 2013). A hypothesis must be clear and simple to understand that states the purpose of a test. It must contain logical and be testable. The hypothesis defines what data variable are considered for testing. The development of a hypothesis begins with identifying the object with an abstract concept of the research and relationship to a statement being evaluated (Bowles, 2013). There are four stages to testing a hypothesis in statics. The four stages are state the hypothesis, set criteria for a decision, collect the data, and evaluated the data. A hypothesis statement contains two parts a null hypothesis and and alternative hypothesis. The null hypothesis is represented as Ho or Hn that is believed to be true or a basis for an argument (Tayor, 2016). It always has a equal sign (Tanner Youssef Morgan, 2013). The alternative hypothesis is represented as Hi or Ha that is established as an opposite of the Ho. Ha can only be reached by the rejection of the Ho. Ha is the desired outcome. A example of a stated hypothesis is as followed: Ho: p = p, and Ha: p =/= p (Zhong Zhong, 2013). The criteria for accepting and rejecting the hypothesis depends on a specific calculated value set by the research. The criteria value has to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. The Evolution Of Stem Cells Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the potential to differentiate into specialized cells that make up various organs in our body. Intriguingly, if the stem cells are given the right conditions, they can divide, differentiate and self organize to form an organ by itself. Organs formed in this manner are called organoids. Specifically, Organoids are structures resembling organs, generated from embryonic stem cells in a three dimensional culture system similar to in vivo. However, these structures need to possess specific characteristics in order to be termed as organoids; must contain multiple cell types of the organ it models (organ specific), must exhibit some specific functions of that organ and the cells should be spastically organized to mimic the targeted organ. Organoids have the ability to recapitulate the organ by self organizing itself. Self organizing is governed by the combination of sorting out and fate specification and also, due to a growing movement away from two dimensional culture. Different organoids can be generated different organs. Although, the generation of 3D organoids is a relatively new concept, it holds the potential to make promising changes in the field of medicine. Organoids are mostly formed by differentiation and culturing of stem cells. The general procedure used for generating organoid involves growing embryoid from stem cells.
