Pros And Cons Of Cremation
Cremation has been used though the ages as a method used by men to accomplish the disposition of
human remains. First made popular by the Greeks as it meant setting the soul free, it has been banned
as taboo by many but still today it rates its most popular status yet. In America the last taken statistic
was between 32 and 40 who favored cremation as an alternative to a burial. This number has quickly
risen from a mere 5 percent in 1972, and not without cause. Today we will be talking about cremation
and where its future lies. From the pros to the cons, the options today and the alternative options in the
future. First lets talk a little about what cremation is. By definition, The use of high temperature
burning, oxidation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now that we know well what cremation is lets get into some things surrounding it.
The Pros There are many pros to choosing cremation, things that vary and have credible value. First
lets talk about how inexpensive it can be compared to a burial. The average cost of cremation in the
U.S is somewhere between 800 and 3000 dollars. This varies greatly by state and can have many
factors such as who is picking up the body, if you are going through a funeral home, do you want to
have a viewing ( if so you might need to have the body embalmed which would add a cost) ect.
The average cost of a burial is somewhere between 6000 and 12000 dollars also varying in many
places. Sometimes just having a less expensive option can make a lot of difference depending on the
families individual situation. Other advantages include having a more portable form a lost family
member. Something you can take with you should you choose to move or want to even scatter the
ashes in a way which honors the deceased. Some might argue that is proves more eco friendly than
burials, taking less space in the ground and with the use of less chemicals. The Cons
Like all things there are positives and there are the negatives too. Some including not having the
option of a second autopsy should the deceased have had a suspicious cause of death. Some might also
argue that cremation is not so eco friendly either with the gases being released into the air holding
chemicals such as mercury,

Disadvantages Of Intercultural Communication
1. Introduction
Languages, behaviour patterns and the values cause the differences in all the existing cultures in the
world. People have different ways to communicate with each other and how to react to information.
Especially for the international business, multinational communication is essential. Understanding the
many types of communication, is a subject of importance to act successful as a global player.
Furthermore, there are great benefits through intercultural communication like:
Healthier communities: Regardless the origin, religion or culture, people work together for the same
aim.
Increased commerce: Successful intercultural communication has a high effect on the international
economics. In the year 2012 the U.S. earned $3 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Privacy is very rare and people do not really express their disappointment, joy or feelings. However,
there are following characteristics for Indians: family orientation, honour of both family and group,
material susses and creativity, problem solving, risk takers and experimenters, loyalty to a group,
arranged marriages, do it yourself mentality, fatalism and savy at business. Indians communication
style is high context oriented. Elderly people are always threatened with respect, talking to them
presupposes using formal and respectful forms. Indians use communication to tighten up their
relationships and to preserve harmony but not to exchange information. Additionally Indians are
extrovert, talkative, emotional, unpunctual and they mix professional and family affairs. On the whole
Indians prefer to be a member of a group and acting collectively. This is a result of the hierarchical
system in India. Indians have several rules when it is allowed for them to speak, e.g. they are allowed
to speak, if someone before began to speak with them, it is inapplicable to show emotions verbal or
non verbal in public, they should not ask direct questions to somebody they do not know well.
Furthermore, it is disrespectful to interrupt a person, they have to wait until the person gives a sign.
Actually, it is desired to be silent, if a person is angry, upset or out of control, until the person settled
down. Actually, it is desired to be silent, if a person is angry, upset or out of control, until the person
settled down. Another fact why non verbal misunderstanding could occur is, that Indians do not use
the politeness formula, which is normal for Europeans, e.g. they do not use greetings, valedictions or
expressions of gratitude. Indians show their gratefulness and thankfulness on other

Delta Airline Case
Summary of Case In the case study changing Dynamics of the U.S. Airline industry were discuss and

Delta wanted to increase its liquidity so they decided to sell its subsidiary Atlantic Southeast Airlines
to Sky West Airline for $425 million in August 2005. Analysts believed that Delta was on the merge of
bankruptcy. The Civil Aeronautics Board 9cab) imposed major restriction on marketing entry and
market access. There were regulation on rates, routes and services that reduce amount of competition

They also face competition at their hub airports in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis,
Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York JFK, Salt Lake City, Amsterdam and Tokyo Narita. The airline also
has competition in smaller to medium sized markets from regional jet operators. They faces problem
with foreign carriers, both on interior U.S. routes and international markets. The company fares and
rates vary by significant price competition. They set ticket prices in most domestic and international
city pairs without governmental regulation. Prices and rates are subject to the jurisdiction of the DOT
and the government of the foreign countries involved. Most of their tickets are sold by travel agents
therefore fares are subject to commissions, overrides and discounts paid to travel agents, brokers and
wholesalers. Delta is considered to be one of the largest airlines in the United States, capturing
approximately 17.5% of domestic commercial airline market. The market shared is measured in terms
of domestic revenue passenger miles. Delta s operating revenue on a GAAP (2) basis grew 27% to $7
billion in the June 2009 quarter compared to the prior year period as a result of its merger with
Northwest Airlines. On a combined basis (3), total operating revenue declined $2.1 billion, or 23%,

Causes Of Gang And Gang Violence
Gang and gang violence has always been an ongoing problem within the country. Street gangs have
evolved into some of the most notorious group associated with murders and killings that law
enforcement agencies have encountered. Gang violence has become one of the most serious crime
problem happening in the country that involves physical assaults, drive by shootings, homicides,
robberies, prostitutions, and home invasion along with a long list of criminal activities. It had occurred

If the family associates love and respect for each other and themselves and engages in such act then it
may deter them from trying to find it elsewhere. Juveniles engages in gang related activities because
they lack the love and respect or living in abusive homes in which leads to troubled childhood
delinquency. It encourages them to engage in gang to fulfill their emotional needs while at the same
time vulnerable to the temptation of making money, the freedom and respect that comes with it. There
are several positive and successful programs that are put in place in which involves the help and
deterrence of youth from engaging into gangs. Such task of helping out the youth and future
generations takes time and commitment. Possible solutions of getting involved in helping the youth
that are in the gangs to get them off the streets are implementing the same gang model that they
already know in which involves the commitment of one to another as members of a close knitted
family but without the drugs and violence. With the ideas and belief that they have already known
would be easier to implement and develop programs that they are familiar to. Such programs should
instill the same love, respect, and belonging as one would receive when joined a gang; therefore, it
gives them another option of committing themselves in a positive way as a model citizen. It gives

Alzheimer s Main Features
Examining these three main features of Alzheimer s disease
The brains of people with Alzheimer s disease have an abundance of two abnormal structures amyloid
plaques and neurofibrillary tangles. These are made of misfolded proteins which can stick together
with other misfolded proteins to form insoluble aggregates. If these aggregates build up, they can
disrupt cellular communication and metabolism. The third main feature of Alzheimer s is the loss of
connections between cells leading to the ill functioning and death of cells (Institute and Aging, 2011).
Amyloid plaques
These plaques consisting largely of insoluble deposits of a toxic protein peptide called beta amyloid
are found in the spaces between the nerve cells in the brain. Beta amyloid

Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots
Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots During the sixteenth century there where many conflicts which
occurred between Catholics and Protestants. The Kings and Queens of England especially kept on
changing between both religions. This made it very difficult for the people of England to choose a
religion because laws kept on getting changed in regard to practicing religion. When Elizabeth I
became Queen she became the new defender of the faith, thus making Protestantism the official
religion. One of the harshest parts of Elizabeth s reign was the whole Mary, Queen of Scots, ordeal.
Mary was Elizabeth s cousin and next in line to the throne. Of course Mary was Catholic and that is
what made the whole issue an issue. This paper will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She became the darling of the Northern Catholics who hoped to remove that upstart commoner
William Cecil and his Protestant Queen, replacing them with Mary. It seems to have been purely a
political arrangement and it failed almost before it began, but the northern earls rose in revolt and died
for the idea. 19 Parliament and the country at large clamored for the execution of the two principles.
Norfolk was exacuted as a traitor and Mary s life was saved only by Elizabeth who refused to agree to
Parliament s demands for her death. 20 Mary never learned from her past experience and continued to
conspire against Elizabeth. Finally in 1586 letters were intercepted from Mary which conclusively
proved her involvement in a plot organized by Anthony Babington to murder Elizabeth and a
commission was set up to examine and try Mary at Fotheringhay Castle in Northamptonshire. 21 The
commission, consisting of leading peers, councilors and judges, found Mary guilty on two charges of
treason, and in November 1586 both Houses of Parliament unanimously petitioned Elizabeth to
proceed to the just sentence of execution. 22 For two months Elizabeth agonized over the decision.
She hated the thought of killing a relative as well she knew that Mary s death would arouse fierce
resentment throughout Catholic Europe and would likely spark retaliation. 23 After endless thought

Essay on Perfectionism and Eating Disorders
Perfectionism and Eating Disorders
Many extreme pressures exist in modern society which directly affect a large number of the
population to the point of extremity. In an age of high technology, rapid development, and intense
social pressure, the pressure to be the best of the best prevails. Many people succumb to the pressure
in a variety of ways, some beneficial, and some detrimental. Eating disorders such as Anorexia
Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa in part result from an intense pressure to achieve the perfect ideal body
weight and physical appearance. Emphasis on being perfect begins early in childhood and continues to
grow with age, sometimes so much that a personality takes on a perfectionistic drive affecting every

The meticulous attention to detail necessary for scientific investigation, the commitment which pushes
composers to keep working until the music realizes the glorious sounds playing in the imagination and
the persistence which keeps great artists at their easels until their creation matches their conception all
result from perfectionism. Setting high standards is not in itself a bad thing. However, perfectionism
coupled with a punishing attitude towards one s own efforts can cripple the imagination, kill the spirit,
and so handicap performance that an individual may never fulfill the promise of early talent.
The focus of this paper is primarily centered on the negative repercussions which may accompany
perfectionism. A perfectionist is likely to have learned early on in life that the level of achievement or
accomplishment that one has achieved is the basis for how others value others. Therefore, he or she
might have learned to value him/herself on the basis of other people s approval. His/her self esteem
could be based primarily on external standards which could leave him/her vulnerable and sensitive to
other people s opinions and criticisms. Perfectionism may be in itself a means of defense against the
criticism of others. (http://www.odos.uiuc.edu/Counseling Center/perfecti.htm) Many negative

Essay about Japanese Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
JAPANESE FDI In the era of globalization, international trade and international investments are
expanding at exponential rates. Almost all developed countries are involved in Foreign Direct
Investment processes, both in the form of outward and inward FDI. Among those developed countries
there is the case of Japan that is different; Japanese attitude towards FDI has always been, in fact, very
cautious. One one hand, Japanese outward foreign investment and exports have played a fundamental
role in the postwar period of economic rise; on the other hand, the accesses to the domestic market by
foreign investors, the so called Inward FDI, has been very limited. (Paprzycki, Fukao, 2008). Japan is

Therefore, it has been obliged to deregulate foreign exchange controls by observing article 8 of the
IMF (International Monetary Fund) charter. Despite all this, Japanese government at that time
considered inward foreign investment as a threat for local market; in 1967, in fact, the Gaishi
Shingikai (Foreign Investment Deliberation Council) highlighted the negative points of the liberal
capitalization, defining the domination of foreign firms as negative for Japan s economy. (Suginohara,
2008). From 1960, with the approval by the government of the Basic Plan for Liberalization of Trade
and Foreign Exchange, a major number of sectors was liberalized; Japan subsequently liberalized
imports, capital transactions and financial sector. Starting from the second half of the 1960s Inward
and outward FDI were liberalized step by step, and in May 1972 the possession of foreign currency by
residents was liberalized. In December 1980 the Foreign Capital Law was incorporated to the Foreign
Exchange Law. This revised law was aimed to liberalize capital account transactions (Aramaki, 2006).
The revision of the Foreign Exchange Law permitted the creation of a large number of foreign owned
companies and a consequent phenomenal growth of FDI in the manufacturing sector (from 1,092
millions $ in 1976 1980 to 2,359 millions $ in 1981 1985 and 7,092 millions $ between 1986 and

Earlier today, I realized that by not being fully active and aware of the policy changes nor taking a

Designed in a similar scheme as Medicare, Medicaid was enacted in 1965 as an amendment to Social
Security Act Title XIX (Flagg, Class 6). The legislation proclaimed Medicaid as an entitlement, which
guaranteed health care coverage to all that meet qualifications (Flagg, Class 6). Although Medicaid is
jointly financed by the federal and state government, the federal government pays states for a
specified percentage of program expenditures, called the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage
(FMAP), (Medicaid.gov). However, both governments assume different roles as I recall Professor
Flagg noting that states are responsible for managing the program while federal government oversee
it. Just like other programs and institutions that receive federal funding, the federal government has
power to delegate regulations and impose conditions. Professor Flagg stated that it has mandated
states to provide certain benefits within Medicaid and beneficiaries need to be categorically eligible.
All to say that Medicaid will ensure coverage to all eligible individuals that meet their financial and
categorical requirement. The Affordable Care Act was the latest health care reform that was

The media has changed significantly over the past decades. Technology has modified our abilities to
expand our communication network, and it allows companies to spread their commercials over many
different continents. Research done by Roberts (1993) shows that adolescent and children are often
very influenced by media that involves sexual or violent conduct. This research is based on media
involving children and adolescents, however this does not eliminate the effect media has on adults
(Singer Singer, 2001, p. 269).
Over the past decades, media has constructed and manipulated women into being the main form of
sexual pleasure for the male viewer. Pleasure in looking, scopophilia, is one of many possible types of

The woman can merely be a narcissistic projection that comes from the male, unconsciously. Robert J.
Stoller stated that Fetishizing is the norm of males, not for females , (Valerie Steel, 1996) Meaning
that females are not interested in body parts and sexy outfits in the same way men are. Fetishistic
imagery is divided into three different types: the first is a woman with a phallic substitute, secondly, a
woman without a phallus usually intimidated or mocked by women with a phallus and last, a woman
as the phallus.
In fetishistic imagery, the true focus is always the phallus, and not the woman itself. Men attain most
pleasure from viewing voyeurism and fetishistic imagery because the men starts to feel more control
and power of their own lives because the men identify themselves with the male protagonist. (Gaines,
1990.)
Stated in Fetish: Fashion, Sex Power (Valerie Steel, 1996), many feminists interpret fetish as a
symptom of patriarchy and capitalism, where the fetishist is always male and the female becomes the
fetish itself, the perfect object. Fetishism is described as glorifying by some, however others would
describe it as something negative, where the woman s desire has disappeared.
Women in films are usually portrayed as dependent to the male characters and it would therefor not be
very likely that females would experience pleasure from looking at a female character that is
influenced and dependent of the male characters, however studies show that women

How Did King George III Have Been Avoided
Do you know what would have happened if King George III was more reasonable and listened to the
colonies? The American Revolution could have been avoided. The British government could have had
a better and productive role in the British colonies and King George III could have been more
reasonable to the British colonies and not tax as much as he did. If these things had happened,
America would be in a state of dominion under Great Britain until they gained their independence in a
more peaceful way. If the British government had a more active role in the British colonies, the
Revolution could have been avoided. This is because if the British government had listened to the
thoughts of the British colonies, there would be less of a need for war, taxes, and other forms of
fighting. Had Britain accepted the Second Continental Congress s Olive Branch Petition, the
Revolutionary War could have been avoided (Sparknotes). Had the ministers of the British consulted
with the leaders in the colonies, there would not have been such an argument and problems with taxes,
etc. King George III was not reasonable with the British colonies. This is not entirely his fault, though.

The Significance Of The Black Bird In The Maltese Falcon...
In Dashiell Hammet s The Maltese Falcon, the black bird serves as a crucial link connecting Sam
Spade and Brigid O Shaughnessy. The black bird functions as the structural bond of Spade and Brigid
s relationship because it represents their greed and desire for wealth. Hammet points out that the
Brigid s greed for the bird causes her to utilize detective Spade as a tool: Help me, Mr. Spade. Help
me because I need help so badly, and because if you don t where will I find anyone who can, no matter
how willing? (Hammet 35). This quotation illustrates Brigid s submissiveness and dependency on Mr.
Spade to help her. But later she becomes the dominant figure when she utilizes her monetary wealth to
her advantage: She opened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, the dashes put an exclamation point in how horrid of an idea it is to correlate the murder to her.
In the end however, Brigid is the one who killed Mr. Archer, but fails to pin it on Mr. Thursby. Spade s
instinct that she couldn t be trusted (Hammett 46) is true because she is able to bluntly lie without any
regard for others.
On the other hand, Sam Spade s tough exterior shows no sign of unequal treatment based on gender.
He treats women with the same petty attitude as he treats men: The hell it is, Miss O Shaughnessy, that
a couple of murders... coming together like this get everybody stirred up, make police think they can
go the limit, make everybody hard to handle and expensive (Hammett 33). This quotation shows his
lack of respect for Brigid who recently lied to him. He is mean and relentless in his pursuit for the
truth even when interrogating women. It is not until he falls in love with Brigid that his tough exterior
is broken down: Spade combed [Brigid s] hair back from her face with his fingers and said: I m sorry,
angel. I thought you d sleep through it (Hammett 92). Symbolically, this quotation signifies the
breakdown of Spade s exterior to show his sincere personality. In the end, Spade s high morals is
revealed when he turns Brigid in for killing Mr. Archer at the beginning of the book: At one point in
the scene, Spade tells her that if she gets a break,

The Controversiality Of Universal Health Care In The...
The concept of universal health care can be controversial because of what it entails of the people.
Having a universal health care system requires the recipients to pay a sort a tax to fund the benefits.
This can infringe on freedom of the individual since they would have no choice but to pay their tax.10
For poorer countries, providing health care can be costly while others in wealthier countries may not
wish to provide health care services and leave it to private insurers despite its benefits. This causes
numerous problems for making health care a human right as seen in Jordan. In Jordon, the government
made many improvements in health care but, there are still issues that persist. Despite not

Religious Authority And The Protestant Reformation
During the sixteenth century, numerous conditions and beliefs existed that cause the Protestant
Reformation. It was a religious, political, cultural and logical disturbance that had made some
Europeans split from the Catholic Church. In northern and central Europe, reformers [such as John
Calvin, Henry VIII and most importantly Martin Luther] challenged papal authority and questioned
the Catholic Church s ability to define Christian practice. The tension between the reformers and the
church triggered wars, persecutions and the Counter Reformation, also called the Catholic
Reformation. Augustine had emphasized that the bible is more a fundamental source for religious
authority than the Bible is. He also believed that humans could not reach salvation by their own act,
but only God could give salvation by his divine grace. Throughout the Middle Ages, the Catholic
Church taught that salvation was achievable through works of righteousness that made God pleased.
Martin Luther, born in the year 1483 in Thuringia (Saxony), which is what is now the country of
Germany, began to have doubts about the theological basis for much of the daily practices of the
Catholic Church. In other words, he questioned and wondered if the Catholic leaders teachings were
acceptable to the Catholic religion. He shared his two central beliefs with Augustine, which would
later form the basis of Protestantism. Meanwhile, the Catholic Church s practice of allowing
indulgences to offer absolution to

Graffiti And Street Art By Christine Graff
From the early humans who painted on cave walls to the angst ridden teenager getting their kicks from
spray painting profanities on the side of a small business, human beings seem to have an intrinsic
desire to paint images on the walls that surround them. This has led to many individuals painting on
walls without permission. Although the walls cannot speak, city officials and the owners of businesses
can and when they do, Graffiti is usually one of the words used to describe the images produced.
However, although often overlooked, a line does exist between graffiti and street art. Christine Graff

Street art is a viable way to breathe life into suffering areas of a town. A prime example of this in
action is the Wynwood Walls project started by Tony Goldman, who saw the massive empty walls of
the warehouses in the Wynwood district of Miami, Florida as massive canvases. Goldman sought to
bring the best street artists from all over the world in order to not only revitalize a mostly dead district,
but also to legitimize street art, which he felt was minimalized and often looked down upon. The area
has now become an international tourist attraction, bringing in those who wish to see the massive
murals that populate the area (About Wynwood Walls).
Another urban rejuvenation project called the Heidelberg Project, founded in 1986 by Tyree Guyton,
has become a tourist attraction and a source of local pride.
Guyton returned to Heidelberg Street and was upset at the state of his childhood home. Drugs, racism
and violence had turned the once average neighborhood into a desolate ghetto. With encouragement
from his grandfather, Guyton decided that he would take action and attempt to turn the dying
neighborhood into a thriving community. Guyton, his grandfather and the neighborhood children
worked together to clean up the neighborhood and use the objects collected during the cleanup to turn
the neighborhood into a vibrant piece of art. The project, although destroyed multiple times,

With the few classes left that I could take I picked intro/Arch Cad one and two, both classes will help
me in the gaming community. Learning the class more in depth allows me to understand the designing
of landscapes and game environment. The rest of the classes I picked were just because I did not have
an idea of what job I wanted as a freshman and these classes did not have a meaning behind them or
supplied any aid in the job I now want to do. During my sophomore year I had much more freedom in
what classes I chose, so I again picked Accelerated English with my math class as Algebra II. My
elective could have been better picked, but at the time not many options interested me. I have taken a
photoshop class giving me minimal experience with computers but I did learn how to change pictures
possibly aiding in the designing of a video game in the future. The courses that did not aid in my
future are mainly just the ones I saw to be the most fun at the time and I chose my courses without
thinking about the future. In my junior year I will need to take another English class as writing is
essential for this occupation and also a math class. Accelerated English 11 and PreCalculus are the two
classes that will play a major part in my future job, the english class will help with writing and the
other necessities for the job. Math class will help with the numbers and

EU Design
EU Design s Rise in the Apparel and Fashion Industry
Current Management Style EU Design s management style was founded in a very small business
environment. There was little standardization of individual tasks. In a small business, everyone on
staff is expected to be involved in all day to day business activities. This creates a very informal
relationship between workers and management. In addition to the small business aspect, EU Design is
in a creative industry. Many of the people in this industry are not trained or educated in formal
business practices. A creative mindset takes precedence over the structure of the business. For EU

Regular videoconference meetings with the staff of both offices can be implemented. Given the time
difference one office would have to come in very early or the other office would stay late. This may be
difficult but should be adhered to so all employees are receiving the same information. This could be
tried on a monthly basis. These meetings would help to create a more cohesive environment between
New York and Hong Kong. This would also give the Hong Kong office a chance to provide requested
feedback to New York. As a supplement, an online open forum for questions from one office can be
posted and answered by the other office when it opens.
Incentive Systems
Currently there is no formal incentive system. Many of the rewards are based on Berardi s perception
of employee performance. If he does not have the opportunity to have direct communication with all
employees, it is a possibility that he is not able to appropriately assess individual performances. The
employees themselves felt that above standard performance was not always noted. This sometimes
resulted in sub optimal achievements being recognized while the employee going the extra mile was
getting passed over.
A new incentive system must include a formal evaluation method of employee performance. In order
to evaluate, official job descriptions must be written to use as a benchmark. These descriptions give
the employees the framework within which to efficiently

Eric Foner Analysis
The juxtaposition Eric Foner creates between Stephen A. Douglas s, popular sovereignty and Lincoln
s absolutist ideology, demonstrations that the issue of slavery will ultimately transform the political
atmosphere for years to come. According to Foner, both Lincoln and Douglas disagree on the account
of the intentions of the founding fathers right to local self government . Douglas contributed a long
article to Harper s New Monthly Magazine, in which he states that the doctrine of popular sovereignty
is derived from the founder s commitment to Local self government . Potentially under popular
sovereignty, a few voting men could change the outcome of slavery in the American Territories
repealing the longstanding, Missouri Compromise. However,

Arguments Against The Exclusionary Rule
In the United States, there have been rules established to protect its citizens. One such rule, the
exclusionary rule was put in place to do just that. A legal rule, which is derived from constitutional
law, this rule protects citizens by preventing evidence to be presented at trial that was obtained while
violating the defendants Fourth Amendment rights. The Fourth Amendment protects citizens against
illegal search and seizure, therefore any evidence that is collected by law enforcement illegal will not
be admissible in court the court of law. The exclusionary rule is frequently used in the American
courts to suppress evidence collected by law enforcement. One such case in 1913, was Weeks vs The
United States. In this case, law enforcement used a key to enter Weeks home after suspected him using
the postal system to transport lottery tickets. Police collected all the needed documents to have Weeks
indicted and found guilty. Filing an appeal, Weeks argued that all articles collected and used as
evidence against him should have been suppressed, due to the fact it was collected in violation of his
4th amendment. Having reached the Supreme Court, it was ruled unanimously that the evidence had
been collected without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First, those who support the rule, argue that having such rule deters members of law enforcement from
illegal search and seizures of citizens. Police know that if evidence is found to have been collected
illegally, and in violation of the defendants 4th amendment right, that evidence will be admissible in
court. This could possibly result in the defendant walking free. Secondly, another supporting argument
is that the exclusionary rule upholds the Fourth Amendment. This rule protects citizens constitutional
right to be protected from illegal search and seizure, and causes law enforcement to operate within the
boundaries of the law when making an

For years now, artists have been using their musical talents of writing songs to present and give the

Listening To Music Analysis
For many years we as individuals and as a society have created and listened to various forms of music.
Initially there are two ways in which music can be introduced into one s life. The first initiation is
through listening to music. This can then be followed by the second initiation which is playing music.
Through these initiations people are able to remember music and do not need the external influence
because of memory. For example, if someone likes Mozart, they do not need to actually listen to the
music because they can hear it in their own mind. The memory of music can never be fully taken
away, not even from someone who has become deaf. Music has been used as a means of expression,
and a way to convey feelings and emotions such as love, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many people have turned to exercise, better sleep habits, and their friends and families to try to reduce
stress (ADAA). Listening to music is the best and safest way to reduce stress. Many people turn to
drugs and alcohol when they are stressed. These forms of stress reducers can be very harmful to the
body. For example, if someone is stressed and decides to smoke marijuana before they drive to work,
there is impairment to the mind of the driver causing them to possibly crash. Instead of this person
turning to drugs while driving, they can turn on music to reduce their stress on the way to work. When
people listens to enjoyable music, they are able to forget about the stressful situations that are
occurring in their life. Many are able to put themselves in another state of mind when listening to
music. An altered state of mind is not as attainable through any other means. I have a personal
experience with this type of stress reduction. Whenever I am feeling stressed about an exam, or an
essay that is critical for my grade in a class, I listen to music to calm me down. When I listen to music,
I forget about the task at hand and focus on the words of the song. When I am done listening to music
I am much more productive and able to focus better on studying and writing. Many other people have
told me they also experience the same benefits I do with stress reduction through music. Some people
may enjoy hardcore, loud and aggressive music which can make them angry, agitated and antisocial.
This can cause stress in their life because they are being influenced by the aggressive nature of the
music. However, the majority of people who listen to music, do so with the intention of being soothed
rather than being affected by a stress causing agent. This is obvious based on the many interactions I
have had with others who appreciate listening to music. When listening to enjoyable music

John Maynard Keynes And The Classical Model Essay
Part One John Maynard Keynes is referred to as one of the most well known economists of his time.
Not only was he able to come up with a solution to essentially try to move the economy out of
recession and stop booms and busts, but his theory is still being used in todays day and age 70 years
later. One big question that has been asked repeatedly about Keynes theory is why did he not believe
in self adjustment of the economy. Keynes rejected the idea that market economies would
automatically move towards full employment. He claimed to have found many flaws in the classical
model as a whole (Davidson). Overall Keynes rejected the classical models claim that markets self
adjust to solve economic problem because his insight was the opposite of the classical model. He was
convinced that sometimes things don t sort themselves out. The economy would actually continue to
go into a downward spiral and the usual dynamic of supply and demand would essentially break
down. As far as policy prescriptions for a recession, Keynes stated that, If all else fails, the
government can spend the money (Davidson). Not only did he think this, he also was convinced that
they shouldn t raise taxes or try to balance the budget. If either of these things were to be done, it
would essentially cancel out any positive effect from spending. Keynes seemed to have felt very
strongly that his theory was bound to work, as well as the people who followed him and his theories
closely. However, economists

Five Factor Personality Test Scores
Five Factor Personality Test Scores
I was excited to take The Five Factor Personality Test, since I have taken it before and would like to
see if there were any significant changes within my personality traits. After finding my results, it
concluded no significant change. My extraversion score was a 42, which is relatively high. My
agreeableness score was a high of 33. My conscientiousness score was 35, which is an average score.
My neuroticism score was a 30 and my openness score was a 29, both relatively high. I truly believe
this assessment is a good predictor of my personality (Buchanan, n.d.).
Accuracy of The Five Factor Personality Test I have to agree my assessment results are congruent
with my personality. As an extravert, I am extremely talkative and social. I enjoy interacting with
individuals on a daily basis and being able to communicate through speech. It was no surprise when I
saw my extraversion score at a high level. I tend to be a very agreeable person. I am always helping
others and putting their needs before my own. Sympathy and caring are personality traits learned over
the last few years in my life. I am an extremely conscientious person, who is always controlling my
surrounding environments. I rely heavily on myself and am determined to achieve my life goals. I
figured my neuroticism score would be high, since I am filled with anxiety, depression, and fear. My
ability to adjust to change is not the greatest, which affects my emotional stability. The

Business Analysis of IBM
1. History of IBM:
IBM is a multinational corporation that started its activities in 1911. But its origins can be traced back

Nowadays, this multinational company is known as the ¡§Big Blue¡¨

5. Industry trends:
IBM¡¦s old belief was that personal computers are a vital part of their overall strategy to link personal
computers, minicomputers, and mainframes, their preferred product in this line. It was not quick in
adapting this belief to the new reality and importance of the PC potential, so during the 1980s and
early 1990s, IBM was thrown into turmoil by back to back revolutions in the trends of the computer
industry. The PC revolution placed computers directly in the hands of millions of people, and then, the
client/server revolution sought to link all of those PCs (the clients ) with larger computers that labored
in the background (the servers that served data and applications to client machines). Both revolutions
transformed the way customers viewed, used and bought technology, and both fundamentally rocked
IBM.
6. Tactics at IBM were as follows:
Marketing at IBM has often been based on recycling and updating older proprietary systems
architectures in which it had a vested interest. It was a product rather than consumer oriented strategy.

The Effects Of Alcoholism On Collegiate Athletic Performance
The Negative Effects of Alcoholism on Collegiate Athletic Performance
According to research and statistics, alcohol is the number one drug used by college students. Most
individuals do not label alcohol as a drug due to the way it is consumed, but when considering the
negative side effects that accompany alcohol, the comparison of alcohol to drugs may not be that far
of a stretch. Alcohol can not only be harmful to an individual s external health but also their internal
health as well. Consumption of alcohol over a long period of time may result in negative side effects
to your heart, liver, pancreas, immune system, and ultimately if enough is consumed may result in
cancer. This addicting, yet dangerous drug is best known for its ability ... Show more content on

On the surface, alcohol may seem harmless and a normal part of the college experience, however
research suggests that alcohol and athleticism do not in fact go hand in hand. Excessive alcohol use
among college students is widely recognized as a serious public health problem in the United States. A
survey was conducted at a large state university in the Northeastern United States and data was
collected on 109 intercollegiate athletes during the competitive season and 119 during the off season.
Participants were asked to estimate the amount of alcohol consumption levels of 4 different groups of
individuals; closest athlete friend, closest non athlete friend, typical athlete, and typical non athlete.
Results of both in season and off season indicated that the athletes reported that others consumed more
drinks per week than they did, and insights of these social averages predicted personal use. Although
the typical athlete average emerged as the strongest predictor of personal alcohol use, the relative
strength of the relationships between individual behavior and the athlete and non athlete norms varied
according to seasonal status.
There are many reasons to expect collegiate athletes to be excluded from the number of college
students who partake in heavy drinking on a regular basis. Athletes are expected to acquire optimal
health and functioning requirements in order to participate in intense training, and also

Why Is Soccer Better Than American Football

that this astounding sport was hated by the place where it was originated, the America. Soccer is the
worldwide sport with a huge majority of subscribers all over the world. Unlike soccer, football is
mainly an American sport which only attracts the Americans. But why American peoples hate soccer?
There are a lot of debates that goes on regards to football and soccer. Whenever the controversy

The most disputed issues that a soccer fan will differentiate between soccer and American football is
that soccer is played mainly by kicking the ball and it is only allowed to the goalkeeper to use his
hands or if the ball goes out of bounds and requires what is called a throw in. In contrary, American
football is played by throwing the ball and is only kicked when a field goal is required or in their term
return punts. In soccer, kicking the ball to the other team is rarely or better yet, done on purpose. On
the other hand, in football, that player is removed and the game is continued in whatever direction it
has gone before. The interesting part that also tells the difference between them is physical. It was a
compulsory for American football to have big and powerful player rather than skillful, so they can
tackle bigger opponents with roughness without getting so much damage. It goes completely opposite
with soccer, the players in this sport industry are average with the standard of a normal person, but
with the skill of handling the ball they can demonstrate cross over to eliminate the

Harrison Bergeron Dystopian
Kurt Vonnegut s dystopian story, Harrison Bergeron , takes place in 2081. It is a story about everyone
being equal, nobody is smarter than anybody else, nobody is better looking than anybody else, and and
nobody is stronger or quicker than anybody else. This is because everybody wears handicaps to make
everyone equal to each other. But basically, one boy named Harrison Bergeron takes matters into his
own hands and goes against the Society. The Society basically makes all these people wear their
handicaps all the time. One lesson the story suggests is that you should never be afraid to stand up for
what you believe in, like Harrison.

She shot them in front of everyone in the room. While this could actually be a really good point
because they did get shot and killed, it fails in one region of thought to me and probably other people
thinking like me also. I think that Harrison Bergeron and the ballerina s act actually did pay off for
them in my line of thinking. I think that them standing up for what they believe in really did pay off
for them because even though they got shot, I think what really payed off for them is that they instilled
the thought of everyone being equal, and the government (or Society) holding them to that, is kind of
crazy and that the people of his world should fight for what they believe in. So, Harrison Bergeron and
the ballerina actually stood up for what they believed in and taught people that they too, should stand
up for what they believe in, and that they, and anybody, can really make a difference with just a couple
of opinions and a couple of words being spoke by the people of the country that you, and others live
and dwell in. For example, in the moment of the story when the ballerina rose, it wasn t because she
wanted to be Harrison Bergeron s wife, it was because she wanted to stand up for what she believed in

Macbeth, By William Shakespeare Essay
INTRODUCTION
Macbeth is Shakespeare s briefest disaster and among the briefest of his plays. Researchers by and
large concur that the show was composed around 1606 in light of the fact that different references in
the play compare to occasions which happened in that year. Numerous likewise accept that it was
created for an execution before King James I, who had a profound enthusiasm for witchcraft. Perhaps
the play was one of the court stimulations offered to King Christian IV of Denmark amid his visit to
London in 1606. Moreover, Researchers propose that Shakespeare may have composed Macbeth to
laud King James heritage by partner him, through the recorded Banquo, to the first Scottish lord,
Kenneth MacAlpin. The foremost scholarly hotspot for Macbeth is Raphael Holinshed s Chronicles of
England, Scotland, and Ireland (1577). Nonetheless, Shakespeare brought incredible freedoms with
this source, adjusting different verifiable occasions to expand the sensational impact of his disaster.
Extensive open deliberation exists with respect to the heartbreaking setting of Macbeth s defeat. In
show, a disaster convention associate relates the critical occasions or activities in a hero s life which,
taken together, realize the calamity. Established standards of catastrophe likewise oblige that the saint

Novice Investors Make The Same Exact Mistakes
As a real estate investor and advisor, I often see novice investors make the same exact mistakes. As a
result, I decided to create the following list to help novices understand what these common mistakes
are and how to avoid them. The good news is that all of these mistakes can be easily corrected. The
bad news is that any one of these mistakes will seriously limit your potential for success. In my
experience, these are the 9 most common mistakes I see novice real estate investors make:
1) Not getting an education
Getting an education is a critical part of becoming a successful real estate investor. It s much easier
and less costly to educate yourself than to make mistakes in the real world. We are lucky to live in a
country full of educational opportunities for whichever endeavor we want to pursue. Surprisingly
though, not everyone takes the initiative to learn before they take action. This exposes these people to
costly (and sometimes career ending) mistakes that could have easily been avoided. Some misguided
people even complain that the books, courses, or seminars promoted by real estate experts are too
expensive. I guess that depends on where you stand. To me, they seem cheap compared to what I
know can be earned in this business. Perhaps to a novice though, they may seem expensive. But as the
saying goes, If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. Think about it. Is a $500 course worth
it if what you learn only makes you $5,000 on a single wholesale deal?

Amazon Core Values And Strategy
Comparing these two approaches suggest a conflict between two fundamental stakeholders businesses
need to deliver to: customers and shareholders. If incorporated appropriately, pleasing and keeping
customers will increase profits, which will feed shareholder returns. However, it does suggest a shift
in emphasis away from directly trying to deliver to shareholders. Having a chief focus on shareholder
value can lead to short term thinking and an Inside Out approach to business. The key is
understanding that the customer is the source of value, and the market will reward a better value
proposition. This is a realignment of values that places shareholder value as an outcome of customer
value: customer value should be the primary focus (Brandmatters.com.au, 2010)

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fitness Test
Task 1
Within this report I will recommend the stages I believe that should be carried out to allow the fitness
test happened safely, and the policies I believe should be put into place while a volunteer carries out
these tests. Prior to doing a lab based fitness test there are many stages you are supposed to carry out
to ensure all participants are safe and all risks are reduced or eliminated.
P1
The first test I urge you to carry out would be to do a risk assessment, this will include finding all the
hazards that would be a risk to participants. For example; One of the hazards while carrying out the
test you will be doing could be if a participant was to wear the wrong type of shoes while doing the
beep test this could lead to them injuring themselves by falling over. After collecting all the hazards
write down how these risks can be controlled and the extent of the risk. For the example I gave for a
hazard that could happen in the test being taken it could be controlled by all participants wearing
trainers with good grip, it also is a high risk due to the amount of times the risk is possible to happen.
If the risk is a high risk and cannot be reduced I recommend that you do not carry out the test till the
risk can be reduced for the safety of participants. The second thing I recommend you should do before
doing the test would to be for you to have a PAR Q test for all participants to fill out before the test so
that you as the testy are informed on everything you need to

Essay on Perfectionism and Eating Disorders Perfectionism and Eating Disorders Many extreme pressures exist in modern society which directly affect a large number of the population to the point of extremity. In an age of high technology, rapid development, and intense social pressure, the pressure to be the best of the best prevails. Many people succumb to the pressure in a variety of ways, some beneficial, and some detrimental. Eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa in part result from an intense pressure to achieve the perfect ideal body weight and physical appearance. The meticulous attention to detail necessary for scientific investigation, the commitment which pushes composers to keep working until the music realizes the glorious sounds playing in the imagination and the persistence which keeps great artists at their easels until their creation matches their conception all result from perfectionism. Setting high standards is not in itself a bad thing. However, perfectionism coupled with a punishing attitude towards one s own efforts can cripple the imagination, kill the spirit, and so handicap performance that an individual may never fulfill the promise of early talent. (http://www.nexus.edu.au/teachstud/gat/peters.htm) The focus of this paper is primarily centered on the negative repercussions which may accompany perfectionism. A perfectionist is likely to have learned early on in life that the level of achievement or accomplishment that one has achieved is the basis for how others value others. Therefore, he or she might have learned to value him/herself on the basis of other people s approval. His/her self esteem could be based primarily on external standards which could leave him/her vulnerable and sensitive to other people s opinions and criticisms. Almost all developed countries are involved in Foreign Direct Investment processes, both in the form of outward and inward FDI. Among those developed countries there is the case of Japan that is different; Japanese attitude towards FDI has always been, in fact, very cautious. One one hand, Japanese outward foreign investment and exports have played a fundamental role in the postwar period of economic rise; on the other hand, the accesses to the domestic market by foreign investors, the so called Inward FDI, has been very limited. (Suginohara, 2008). From 1960, with the approval by the government of the Basic Plan for Liberalization of Trade and Foreign Exchange, a major number of sectors was liberalized; Japan subsequently liberalized imports, capital transactions and financial sector. Starting from the second half of the 1960s Inward and outward FDI were liberalized step by step, and in May 1972 the possession of foreign currency by residents was liberalized. In December 1980 the Foreign Capital Law was incorporated to the Foreign Exchange Law. This revised law was aimed to liberalize capital account transactions (Aramaki, 2006). This research is based on media involving children and adolescents, however this does not eliminate the effect media has on adults (Singer Singer, 2001, p. 269). The woman can merely be a narcissistic projection that comes from the male, unconsciously. Robert J. Stoller stated that Fetishizing is the norm of males, not for females , (Valerie Steel, 1996) Meaning that females are not interested in body parts and sexy outfits in the same way men are. Fetishistic imagery is divided into three different types: the first is a woman with a phallic substitute, secondly, a woman without a phallus usually intimidated or mocked by women with a phallus and last, a woman as the phallus. In fetishistic imagery, the true focus is always the phallus, and not the woman itself. Men attain most pleasure from viewing voyeurism and fetishistic imagery because the men starts to feel more control and power of their own lives because the men identify themselves with the male protagonist. (Gaines, 1990.) Stated in Fetish: Fashion, Sex Power (Valerie Steel, 1996), many feminists interpret fetish as a symptom of patriarchy and capitalism, where the fetishist is always male and the female becomes the fetish itself, the perfect object. Fetishism is described as glorifying by some, however others would describe it as something negative, where the woman s desire has disappeared. The American Revolution could have been avoided. Hammet points out that the Brigid s greed for the bird causes her to utilize detective Spade as a tool: Help me, Mr. Spade. Help me because I need help so badly, and because if you don t where will I find anyone who can, no matter how willing? (Hammet 35). On the other hand, Sam Spade s tough exterior shows no sign of unequal treatment based on gender. He treats women with the same petty attitude as he treats men: The hell it is, Miss O Shaughnessy, that a couple of murders... coming together like this get everybody stirred up, make police think they can go the limit, make everybody hard to handle and expensive (Hammett 33). This quotation shows his lack of respect for Brigid who recently lied to him. He is mean and relentless in his pursuit for the truth even when interrogating women. It is not until he falls in love with Brigid that his tough exterior is broken down: Spade combed [Brigid s] hair back from her face with his fingers and said: I m sorry, angel. • 17. Religious Authority And The Protestant Reformation During the sixteenth century, numerous conditions and beliefs existed that cause the Protestant Reformation. It was a religious, political, cultural and logical disturbance that had made some Europeans split from the Catholic Church. In northern and central Europe, reformers [such as John Calvin, Henry VIII and most importantly Martin Luther] challenged papal authority and questioned the Catholic Church s ability to define Christian practice. The tension between the reformers and the church triggered wars, persecutions and the Counter Reformation, also called the Catholic Reformation. Augustine had emphasized that the bible is more a fundamental source for religious authority than the Bible is. He also believed that humans could not reach salvation by their own act, but only God could give salvation by his divine grace. Throughout the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church taught that salvation was achievable through works of righteousness that made God pleased. Martin Luther, born in the year 1483 in Thuringia (Saxony), which is what is now the country of Germany, began to have doubts about the theological basis for much of the daily practices of the Catholic Church. In other words, he questioned and wondered if the Catholic leaders teachings were acceptable to the Catholic religion. He shared his two central beliefs with Augustine, which would later form the basis of Protestantism. Meanwhile, the Catholic Church s practice of allowing indulgences to offer absolution to ... Street art is a viable way to breathe life into suffering areas of a town. A prime example of this in action is the Wynwood Walls project started by Tony Goldman, who saw the massive empty walls of the warehouses in the Wynwood district of Miami, Florida as massive canvases. Goldman sought to bring the best street artists from all over the world in order to not only revitalize a mostly dead district, but also to legitimize street art, which he felt was minimalized and often looked down upon. The area has now become an international tourist attraction, bringing in those who wish to see the massive murals that populate the area (About Wynwood Walls). For example, if someone is stressed and decides to smoke marijuana before they drive to work, there is impairment to the mind of the driver causing them to possibly crash. Instead of this person turning to drugs while driving, they can turn on music to reduce their stress on the way to work. When people listens to enjoyable music, they are able to forget about the stressful situations that are occurring in their life. Many are able to put themselves in another state of mind when listening to music. An altered state of mind is not as attainable through any other means. Not only was he able to come up with a solution to essentially try to move the economy out of recession and stop booms and busts, but his theory is still being used in todays day and age 70 years later. One big question that has been asked repeatedly about Keynes theory is why did he not believe in self adjustment of the economy. Keynes rejected the idea that market economies would automatically move towards full employment. He claimed to have found many flaws in the classical model as a whole (Davidson). Overall Keynes rejected the classical models claim that markets self adjust to solve economic problem because his insight was the opposite of the classical model. He was convinced that sometimes things don t sort themselves out. The economy would actually continue to go into a downward spiral and the usual dynamic of supply and demand would essentially break down. As far as policy prescriptions for a recession, Keynes stated that, If all else fails, the government can spend the money (Davidson). Not only did he think this, he also was convinced that they shouldn t raise taxes or try to balance the budget. If either of these things were to be done, it would essentially cancel out any positive effect from spending. Industry trends: IBM¡¦s old belief was that personal computers are a vital part of their overall strategy to link personal computers, minicomputers, and mainframes, their preferred product in this line. It was not quick in adapting this belief to the new reality and importance of the PC potential, so during the 1980s and early 1990s, IBM was thrown into turmoil by back to back revolutions in the trends of the computer industry. The PC revolution placed computers directly in the hands of millions of people, and then, the client/server revolution sought to link all of those PCs (the clients ) with larger computers that labored in the background (the servers that served data and applications to client machines). Both revolutions transformed the way customers viewed, used and bought technology, and both fundamentally rocked IBM. 6. Tactics at IBM were as follows: Marketing at IBM has often been based on recycling and updating older proprietary systems architectures in which it had a vested interest. It was a product rather than consumer oriented strategy. #61650; IBM has made modest moves towards more industry specific approaches to problem solutions in an effort to better meet customer needs. #61650; 1988 attempt ... Most individuals do not label alcohol as a drug due to the way it is consumed, but when considering the negative side effects that accompany alcohol, the comparison of alcohol to drugs may not be that far of a stretch. Alcohol can not only be harmful to an individual s external health but also their internal health as well. On the surface, alcohol may seem harmless and a normal part of the college experience, however research suggests that alcohol and athleticism do not in fact go hand in hand. Excessive alcohol use among college students is widely recognized as a serious public health problem in the United States. A survey was conducted at a large state university in the Northeastern United States and data was collected on 109 intercollegiate athletes during the competitive season and 119 during the off season. Participants were asked to estimate the amount of alcohol consumption levels of 4 different groups of individuals; closest athlete friend, closest non athlete friend, typical athlete, and typical non athlete. Results of both in season and off season indicated that the athletes reported that others consumed more drinks per week than they did, and insights of these social averages predicted personal use. Although the typical athlete average emerged as the strongest predictor of personal alcohol use, the relative strength of the relationships between individual behavior and the athlete and non athlete norms varied according to seasonal status. There are many reasons to expect collegiate athletes to be excluded from the number of college students who partake in heavy drinking on a regular basis. Athletes are expected to acquire optimal health and functioning requirements in order to participate in intense training, and also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The most disputed issues that a soccer fan will differentiate between soccer and American football is that soccer is played mainly by kicking the ball and it is only allowed to the goalkeeper to use his hands or if the ball goes out of bounds and requires what is called a throw in. In contrary, American football is played by throwing the ball and is only kicked when a field goal is required or in their term return punts. In soccer, kicking the ball to the other team is rarely or better yet, done on purpose. On the other hand, in football, that player is removed and the game is continued in whatever direction it has gone before. The interesting part that also tells the difference between them is physical. It was a compulsory for American football to have big and powerful player rather than skillful, so they can tackle bigger opponents with roughness without getting so much damage. • 31. Harrison Bergeron Dystopian Kurt Vonnegut s dystopian story, Harrison Bergeron , takes place in 2081. It is a story about everyone being equal, nobody is smarter than anybody else, nobody is better looking than anybody else, and and nobody is stronger or quicker than anybody else. This is because everybody wears handicaps to make everyone equal to each other. But basically, one boy named Harrison Bergeron takes matters into his own hands and goes against the Society. The Society basically makes all these people wear their handicaps all the time. One lesson the story suggests is that you should never be afraid to stand up for what you believe in, like Harrison. She shot them in front of everyone in the room. While this could actually be a really good point because they did get shot and killed, it fails in one region of thought to me and probably other people thinking like me also. I think that Harrison Bergeron and the ballerina s act actually did pay off for them in my line of thinking. I think that them standing up for what they believe in really did pay off for them because even though they got shot, I think what really payed off for them is that they instilled the thought of everyone being equal, and the government (or Society) holding them to that, is kind of crazy and that the people of his world should fight for what they believe in. So, Harrison Bergeron and the ballerina actually stood up for what they believed in and taught people that they too, should stand up for what they believe in, and that they, and anybody, can really make a difference with just a couple of opinions and a couple of words being spoke by the people of the country that you, and others live and dwell in. For example, in the moment of the story when the ballerina rose, it wasn t because she wanted to be Harrison Bergeron s wife, it was because she wanted to stand up for what she believed in with him. • 33. Novice Investors Make The Same Exact Mistakes As a real estate investor and advisor, I often see novice investors make the same exact mistakes. As a result, I decided to create the following list to help novices understand what these common mistakes are and how to avoid them. The good news is that all of these mistakes can be easily corrected. The bad news is that any one of these mistakes will seriously limit your potential for success. In my experience, these are the 9 most common mistakes I see novice real estate investors make: 1) Not getting an education Getting an education is a critical part of becoming a successful real estate investor. It s much easier and less costly to educate yourself than to make mistakes in the real world. We are lucky to live in a country full of educational opportunities for whichever endeavor we want to pursue. Surprisingly though, not everyone takes the initiative to learn before they take action. This exposes these people to costly (and sometimes career ending) mistakes that could have easily been avoided. Some misguided people even complain that the books, courses, or seminars promoted by real estate experts are too expensive. I guess that depends on where you stand. To me, they seem cheap compared to what I know can be earned in this business. Perhaps to a novice though, they may seem expensive. But as the saying goes, If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. Think about it. Is a $500 course worth it if what you learn only makes you $5,000 on a single wholesale deal? ... • 35. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fitness Test Task 1 Within this report I will recommend the stages I believe that should be carried out to allow the fitness test happened safely, and the policies I believe should be put into place while a volunteer carries out these tests. Prior to doing a lab based fitness test there are many stages you are supposed to carry out to ensure all participants are safe and all risks are reduced or eliminated. P1 The first test I urge you to carry out would be to do a risk assessment, this will include finding all the hazards that would be a risk to participants. For example; One of the hazards while carrying out the test you will be doing could be if a participant was to wear the wrong type of shoes while doing the beep test this could lead to them injuring themselves by falling over. After collecting all the hazards write down how these risks can be controlled and the extent of the risk. For the example I gave for a hazard that could happen in the test being taken it could be controlled by all participants wearing trainers with good grip, it also is a high risk due to the amount of times the risk is possible to happen. If the risk is a high risk and cannot be reduced I recommend that you do not carry out the test till the risk can be reduced for the safety of participants. The second thing I recommend you should do before doing the test would to be for you to have a PAR Q test for all participants to fill out before the test so that you as the testy are informed on everything you need to ...
