Abraham Lincoln s Second Confiscation Act
Today is just another day here in the New York. With everything that has happened in the United
States, I feel like this is a time where we should be more aware of the horror going on in the states
around us. Our President Lincoln, is trying to make not just the Northern side, but also the Southern
(Confederates states) see the damage that is being done. It seems like Abraham Lincolnmade a
second Confiscation Act. The first Confiscation Act was said that the Union should free the slaves
whom worked in the military. Of course that did not work, the states did not agree with his idea of
protecting the slaves. Also, the seceded states felt like they shouldn t take orders from Abraham
Lincoln, because he is not the Souths president. The president

The Commercial Growth of the Live Music Events Industry
The commercial growth of the live music events industry
Live music events have grown into global events, give five reasons as to what has driven their
commercial growth and success

Introduction
In the past few decades there have been many developments in the live music events industry,
which have led to live music events growing to be global events. (Goldblatt, J., 2002) There are
several reasons for this development in the music events industry, many of them closely connected
to developments in other sectors that influence the business of live music events. In this essay we
will discuss the commercial, social, legal, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Mintel, 2010) Also charity events have increased the global involvement in music events and
have attracted not only a wider variety of public but also political involvement. Because of this,
live music events have been able to attract a much bigger variety of public, which has enabled the
business to create global music events that are not focused on a particular segment of people but
attract people of all ages and social backgrounds. (Bennett, A., 2001)
Legal
As a result of commercial success and growth in the live music events business legal
involvement has over the years become necessary and this means involvement of an entire
business that has contributed to the growth of the music events industry in many ways.
According to D. Becker (2006) the growth in commercial value and the increase of complexity
of live music events have increased the need to record arrangements in writing and have made
the legal rights and obligations of the parties involved more complex. This has led to the legal
business becoming a big part of the live music business because especially with global music
events so many parties are involved and thus so many legal involvement has become necessary. In
this day and age where digitalization has influenced the music business so severely, new legislation
is introduced every year to update the copyright code (Bargfrede and Mak, 2009) and this has
directly and indirectly influenced the

Using Secondary Data Sources In Public Health
Module 3 Professional Learning Log # 4Monica Eickmeyer The use of secondary data sources
adds another resource for public health practitioners in policy and intervention development.
Instead of just using primary resources, secondary resources may be integrated to provide robust
data collectively. Also, multiple data sources may be applied to gain a better understanding of the
public health concern. Data sets available for mortality, morbidity, health outcomes, social and
living environments can determine health needs and barriers to care. In situations where funding
resources are a concern or limited, secondary data sources may be considered and applied in
public health. If another agency has already collected the data, expenses are reduced and time is
saved. However, categories and age groups may not be available for the question you have chosen.

For example, if the secondary data reveals a rise in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
(COPD), a lung disease caused primarily by chronic cigarette smoking, then anti smoking
interventions can be aimed at specific groups. However, when applying secondary data sources, a
consideration of how and why the data was collected and for whom should be considered.
Examining trends over time provides longitudinal data about COPD and smoking to track the
success and failures of public health interventions and policies. For example, smoking policies have
been implemented through time and getting tougher for smokers to gain access to publicly
smoking in Canada. Also, data about the effects of secondary smoke may be examined to
determine if diseases related to secondhand smoke are

The Effects Of Jews On Jewish Population During The Nazi...
An important topic is being researched, and it concerns the Final Solution of the Nazis concerning
the Jews. On January 20th 1942, 15 leading officials of the Nazi state met at a villa in Wannsee, a
suburb of Berlin, to discuss the Final solution of the Jewish Question ( The Final Solution, 2015).
They used the term Final Solution to refer to their plan to annihilate the Jewish people. It is not
known when the leaders of Nazi Germanydefinitively decided to implement their plan to eradicate
the Jews ( United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2015). Although, the genocide, or mass
destruction, of the Jews was the culmination of a decade of increasingly severe discriminatory
measures ( United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2015). The Final Solution resulted in the
holocaust, one of the most horrific crimes against humanity. As a result, I am going to discuss the
Final Solution, and its effects on Jewish population during the Nazi regime.
Firstly, when Adolf Hitlercame into power in Germany on May 8th 1945, one of his main goals
was to purify the German race. He believed that all races were inferior to the German race. As a
result, the Jewish people of Europe suffered severe persecution which eventually led to them being
murdered. Hitler spread propaganda all throughout Germany, which cause the German people to
hate the Jews. He made them believe that the Jewish people were the cause of all the problems in
Germany. As a result, Hitler instilled fear in the German

The Movie Happy New Year Serena
At the count of five a hand took hers and pulled her away into an unusually empty spot of the
bar; Serena really did not have time to react or protest against her feelings of anger. They stood
in silence until they voices around them cheered, clichГ©d as it could have been their lips met
only briefly and tenderly. Happy New Year Serena Serena smiled and mustered the only words
she could think of. You re home For good Ric looked her straight in the eye as his hands found a
comforting resting place on her waist. I could kill you Serena s eyes gleamed as the flurry of
anger inside her had turned into admiration and desire; often the effect he had upon her and after
so much time apart, it was the logical emotion to be feeling. Naturally, their lips met again; yet
this time with passionate undertones; a move that failed to go unnoticed by a few colleagues
who had seen the strike of 12 as a cue to move to another venue. A few wit woos had caused the
pair to part; they relationship unintentionally public knowledge yet that felt okay. Let s get out of
here Where shall we go? Ric asked knowing what she implied; it really was just a case of where.
Your place is nearer Serena beamed as she clutched her belongings and wrapped her arm around
Ric s, truly asserting her position as Ric s partner. Walking arm in arm out of Albies; feeding off
each other s presence they felt no need to say anything as a wonderful feeling inside them burned
on in their hearts.

The Pathology of Whitenes in Pym, by Mat Johnson
Mat Johnsons novel, Pym challenges readers not only to view his work with a new set of eyes but
also the work of all American literature with the understanding that the idea of Whiteness still has a
very strong power over literature today. It is unfortunate that in today s society, the pathology of
Whiteness still holds a very strong presence in literary world. Literature from American authors
versus literature from African Americanauthors still continues to be segregated and handled with
two different sets of criteria. Johnson s novelengages in different aspects of the argument presented
in Toni Morrison s work entitled Playing in the Dark: Whiteness and the Literary Imagination. One
of the main ideals that Pym engages in is the thought... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When he meets the man hired to be replacement at the bar the young man expresses to him that
he plans to join the diversity committee to make a difference. Jaynes replies to him saying You re
not fighting Whiteness, you re feeding its perversion (20). While some feel as though things such
as diversity committees are put into place to help erase the racial lines that divide American
cultures, if these committees prove to be stagnate and unproductive they are really just keeping
the systems segregated. It is easy to say that you have a diversity committee but if it is not actively
trying to fight against segregation and focusing on all Americans being viewed as one instead of as
different subsets, the committee becomes useless. Instead of the diversity committee representing
change, it is aiding in pathology of Whiteness. Johnson takes Morrison s argument past simply
identifying that Whiteness is still very much dominate in literature today and focuses on ways that
we are still helping it to exist. He challenges the reader to identify the roles they are taking in
keeping this impenetrable whiteness alive and helps them see that they are too affected by the
pathology of Whiteness. Johnson challenges the readers by addressing the very thing that they do
to try to make a change is what is holding

My Pen Writes In Blue And White By Vincent Cremona
In the last paragraph of the essay My Pen Writes in Blue and White , Vincent Cremona infers that,
through his childhood familiarity with blue collar and white collar working environments, he has
attained an expansive world view that enables him to sympathize with various cultural backgrounds
today. By enveloping this dual mindset of society, Cremona has developed an impartial writingstyle
capable of communicating with a wide variety of backgrounds effectively, whom, in his words,
is to see as either blue, or white, or some shade thereof (195) In other words, the author explains
that he can adopt either method of communication from blue collar and white collar societies
individually, or blend the two styles together. By doing so, Cremona harnesses the authoritative
terminology of white collar speech, while exhibiting the loud and brash nature of blue collar
speech in one format to help achieve the intended audience reaction. (196) This point is
demonstrated in the author s earlier example, where after filing a complaint to an airline while
utilizing this writing format, swift action was taken by the firm to compensate Cremona for his
trouble. Cremona s ability to persuade the airline was due, in part, to the author s ability to convey
emotion plainly and effectively through written words alone, thanks to his utilization of blue collar
speech; Cremona himself views this form of expression as basic, bold, and workman like [sic].

Divinity Of Love Essay
Once a week, the fan runs away from home and attends the stadium. Flags flicker, rattles sound,
rockets, drums, rain snakes and paper cut; the city disappears, the routine is forgotten, there is
only one existing location, the temple. In this sacred space, the only religion that does not have
atheists exhibits its divinities. Although the fan can contemplate the miracle, more comfortably,
on the TV screen, he prefers to undertake the pilgrimage to this place where he can see his angels
in flesh and blood, fighting a duel against the demons of the day and explains, How will you know
what love is if you never became a fan of a club. How will you know what pain is if the defender

How are you going to know what injustice is if you never got a red card from a localist referee?
Tell me ... how will you know what insomnia is if you never went to second division? How will
you know what hatred is if you never scored an own goal? How are you going to know, dear
friend, how are you going to know what life is if you never played football before . Here, the fan
shakes the handkerchief, swallows, gulp , swallows poison, eats the cap, whispers prayers and
curses and suddenly breaks his throat in an ovation and jumps like a flea, hugging the stranger
who shouts the goal at his side. While the pagan mass lasts, the fans are many. With thousands of
devotees he shares the certainty that we are the best, all the referees are sold, all the rivals are
cheaters. Rarely does the fan say, Today my club plays . Rather it says, Today we play. Well
known is this player number twelve that it is he who blows the winds of fervor that push the ball
when she falls asleep, as the other eleven players know that playing without fans is like dancing
without music. When the match concludes, the fan, who has not moved from the rostrum,
celebrates his victory; what a contest, what a game, what a show... What a beating we gave them,
or their defeat cries; We were once again swindled, The damn ref deprived us from the victory,
thief. And then the sun goes away and the fan goes away. The shadows fall on the stadium that
empties. In the cement stands, here and there

PPI Inhibitors
Strategies to Identify PPI Inhibitors
With the newfound understanding of PPIs, there have been increased efforts to further elucidate the
mechanisms of PPIs, and the past decade and a half has seen significant progress in the field (Fig
3).27, 28 Attempts to inhibit PPIs have focused on two main interaction types: orthosteric and
allosteric. Orthosteric interactions refers to competitive inhibition of the PPIs, by binding to one of
the involved proteins and thus blocking the interface. Allosteric interactions act as a mode of non
competitive inhibition, binding to a secondary site on the protein and bringing about a
conformational change in the protein which prevents interaction. Orthosteric inhibitors will be the

The p53 protein s primary function is to protect an organism against proliferation of cells containing
damaged DNA, this is done in several ways, including cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.43, 44 MDM2
has been shown to be the principal negative regulator of p53, inhibiting its tumour suppressing
abilities and thus leading to tumour propagation. To this end disruption of the MDM2/p53 interface
is an attractive strategy in cancer therapeutics.45, 46 Independently Grasberger and Vassilev both
successfully used HTS of large compound libraries to discover small molecule inhibitors of
MDM2.47, 48 Grasberger s benzodiazepinedione and Vassilev s cis imidazoline (Nutlin) were both
able to bind to MDM2 at the MDM2/p53 binding region, disrupting the interface and thus blocking
the interaction. Subsequent medicinal chemistry optimisation of the Nutlin molecule class (3)
yielded the drug compound RG7112 (4, Figure 4).49 RG7112 has been subject to several
exploratory human trials showing favourable outcomes, inducing apoptosis and decreasing tumour

Samsung Galaxy Note7 Case Study
Samsung owns the market right now. Samsung is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in
the world. They also sell all kinds of other products. Their focus is of course on their Android
smartphone/tablet/wearables business. Samsung grew at an incredible rate over the years to
become what it is now. They outsell even Apple when it comes to smartphone/tablet sales. The
company pivots and produces quickly, coming out with a variety of devices. It sees what the
market responds to, pushes successes, and kills failures. And now, rather than just providing a
cheaper and lesser iPhone, it s differentiated itself with larger screens, different features, successful
marketing, and delivering what consumers want. The Note is a perfect example. The company
found through market research that Asian language speakers wanted a device that they could hand
write on, because drawing characters is easier with a pen. The result was a combination phone
/tablet ( phablet ) that s been an unexpected hit. However, there was some setbacks this year with
the production of the Samsung Galaxy Note7. Samsung produced the Galaxy Note 7 in August
expecting to deliver a smartphone that could take on and take down the iPhone 7. Before long,
unfortunately, buyers reported that the device was heating up and for some, exploding. Samsung is
blaming the malfunction on a manufacturing problem with batteries at one of its suppliers. In
September, Samsung began a recall and reproduced its second run Galaxy

The Roman Republic
For Centuries the Roman Republic was ruled over by some twenty families of Patricians , these
families represented the upper crust of society, a society which prided itself on the continuation of
the family line. This system was threatened by the ideology of novitas which people achieved glory
not from there illustrious family history, but through merit. Cato the Elder and Gaius Mariuswere
not born of noble stock and thus represent two of the best examples of novus homo in action.
The Roman Republic s system was heavily stacked against a novus homo from the period of
200BC 100BC only 29 Consuls were of Plebeian background, which alludes to the fact the
having a good family genealogy, would undoubtedly benefit one political career. The Scipionic
epitaph of Scipio Baratus details the successes of a great Roman, who s honour and bravery, as
well as his occupation of the Aedileship, and the Consulship ultimately helped spring board the
career of his son Lucius Cornelius Scipio . From this we can see that fama, gloria, and a good
family background greatly help ones political ambitions, Marius and Cato both came from a
Plebeian background of which Marius took pride in going as far as accusing the aristocracy of
bitterness by despising him since he reached the Consulship without family connections or glory.

Cultural Diversity And Team Performance Essay
The journal paper Cultural diversity and team performance: The role of team member goal
orientation by (Pieterse, Van Knippenberg Van Dierendonck,2013) is to investigate the members
goal orientation in the relationship between performance and cultural diversity. The contribution of
Pieterse, Van Knippenberg Van Dierendonck (2013) is that they have developed and test the theory
under the CEM model on how achievement setting stimulates the teammember goal orientations that
affect performance relationship. Pieterse, Van Knippenberg Van Dierendonck (2013) also stated
that pervious researchers have recognized the performance benefit of diversity could have stronger

Aim of research:
This research is rooted firmly on the categorisation elaboration model. The study can see as the test
of the propositions advanced in the model and can dee as a further development. Therefore, it is the
further step of developing an integrative theory of the team diversity affected by the performance.

Aviation And Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
There hardly comes a time when Congress and Senate can unanimously agree to a bill to pass.
Congress created the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Senate voted
unanimously to federalize airport security. Furthermore, this immediate action of unanimous votes
was due to the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Additionally, this quickly led to the Aviation and
Transportation Act. This act was immediately placed, and led to the establishment of the TSA as
an Agency by George W. Bush in the fight against terrorist attacks on the U.S. On November 2001,
the new agency known as TSA was created within the Department of Transportation and is now part
of Homeland security. The amount of the budget given to the TSA allows them to be a bully that...

even been to the meetings hosted by Ben Gurion, but the only reason that this has not been adopted
yet in America s airport was due to the longer wait times for more intense questioning by security

is to ensure airport security. If this causes travelers to have longer wait times by one hour, but
guarantees overall safety, then this should be implemented. Inconveniencing others is not an excuse
if their safety is the reason the agency was created to start with. Ben Gurion International Airport
does require more overall security steps, but when the major reason is inconvenience, then the TSA

prisons and the foundations of the importance of the role of incarcerated mothers. (p. 3). In the
prison system an individual throughout history has been treated based on race and gender.
Women have had to bear the brunt of unfair treatment opposed to men. A woman has had her role
defined for her long before birth. In most societies women have been subjected to taking care of
the family, mainly as mothers and wives. What happened though when these roles were
challenged? Men were not the only type to engage in criminal behavior and become incarcerated.

The Role Of Jealousy In Othello
The Role of Jealousy in Othello.
The drama Othello , is well known, for the way Shakespeare was able to make the audience focus

The theme jealousy in the drama Othello causes the major problems for the characters in the story.
Jealousy in the story can be seen in two different views, which are:
a)The destructive power of sexual jealousy.
b)The jealousy of power and position.
Sexual jealousy was exhibited as one of the destructive factors of jealousy that leads to tragic
occasions for characters in the play. Othello was made to be sexually jealous by Iago about the way

Also, Iago was jealous of Othello s relationship with Desdemona. For instance when Iago says It
cannot be that Desdemona should long continue her love to the Moor/She must change for youth
(Shakespeare 1.3.378 382). This quote furthers shows how Iago was jealous for Othello and
Desdemona s love. Desdemona is the daughter of a well respected Senate, and she is much known
for her beauty, and it seems like all the men in Venice in one way wanted to her as their wife, and
Othello, who is a moor cannot just marry Desdemona.
Furthermore, Iago was jealous of Othello from the fact that he hated him, even if he was given
the position or not. For instance where Iago said Though I do hate him as I do hell pains, yet,
for necessity of present life, I must show out a flag and sign of love which is indeed but sign
(Shakespeare (1.1.171 174). This quote helps to show how Iago will always hate Othello no matter
what happens, he will always seek pleasure going against

Football Essay
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. The West Virginia University football team lost two of its best wide
receivers in Shelton Gibson (43 receptions for 951 yards) and Daikiel Shorts (63 receptions for 894
yards) but the Mountaineers aren t scavenging for talent at the position.
Both Gibson (43 receptions for 951 yards) and Shorts (63 receptions for 894 yards) moved on to
the NFL after being WVU s go to guys last season. Devonte Mathis graduated and redshirt freshman
Steven Smothers left the team, leaving an opportunity for others to shine.
Ka Raun White is the most experienced of the receiving corps. He played in 11 games last season
before suffering a season ending broken leg against Iowa State.

Two newcomers that aren t so new and could make an immediate impact for WVU are David Sills
and William Crest.
Both Sills and Crest were former quarterbacks, who changed to wide outs after leaving the team and
returning.
During the Mountaineers Cactus Bowl victory, Sills had a breakout game and caught the game
winning touchdown on a 15 yard reception with 2:19 remaining. He finished the season with seven
catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.
Despite showing potential at receiver, Sills elected to transfer to El Camino College to pursue a
career at quarterback. After one season there, he realized where he belonged and returned to WVU.
Upon his return, the 6 foot 3, 201 pound junior instantly connected with starting quarterback Will
Grier. During the spring game, fans got a glimpse of how well the two meshed. Sills had six
catches for 96 yards with a long pass of 34 yards.
Like Sills, Crest left the team in the winter but soon realized Morgantown was were he belonged
and returned as a receiver.
During his tenure with the Mountaineers, the 6 foot 2, 210 junior has seen the field at quarterback,
running back and wide receiver.
Another newcomer expected to make an immediate impact is Dominique Maiden. Often last season
WVU s lack of height hurt the Mountaineers chances at scoring. But Maiden s 6 foot 5, 203 pound
frame gives Grier that big target.
The junior wide out spent two years playing at Riverside City

Corn-Pone Opinions Essay
Brooke Brown
Mr. Williams
English III AP 7
21 November 2011
Corn Pone; Conformity Mark Twain, although quite the comedian, makes a valid point in Corn
Pone Opinions . The observation of humanity and its tendencies to follow what society promotes is
a relevant occurrence today. Twain leads on . . . that it s born of the humanbeing s natural yearning
to stand well with his fellows and have their inspiring approval and praise . . . (720). Humans are
not equipped to stand their own ground; they prefer to follow the leader. Twain puts it simply, we
are creatures of outside influences; as a rule we do not think, we only imitate (719). Twain clearly

Twain, attacking the willingness to change fashion without thinking first, speaks to women
closely. Twain states, One woman abandons the fashion; her neighbor notices this and follows
her lead; this influences the next woman; and so on and so on . . . (718). To this day women
continue to experience this identical process. Although one may love her Christmas sweater, if
her neighbor does not own one or wrinkles her nose at the idea of wearing such a thing, she will
immediately go home and dispose of the sweater without thinking twice about her actions or her
personal feelings toward the item of clothing. Twain also mentions how twenty five years ago
there would be six of eight wine glasses given to each person attending a dinner party, and they
were to be used, not left idle and empty , but today there are but three of four wine glasses and on
average and only two are sparingly emptied by each guest (719). Twain follows this observation by
expanding his opinion on conformity. He offers the idea that people follow certain trends without
thinking them through. The people attending these dinner parties have no idea why they only
consume two glasses when twenty five years ago people consumed three to four times as much.
Humans, in general, do not look for the answer to the question why? , but instead only worry about
what other people do and if their actions are satisfactory to those surrounding them. Twain also

Essay On Plastic Bags
Since 1985, America has used plastic bags due to them being waterproof and having handles
making them easier to carry goods. Paper and plastic have always been a huge controversy in
supermarkets through the preference of customers. Some customers prefer having the paper bags
standing up straight in the trunks of their cars. Other customers prefer the plastic bags because of
the handles making it easier to walk home and carry their goods. Although both preferences are
fine, all customers know the dangers of the plastic bag. Banning plastic bags from stores and
replacing them with only paper or reusable bags, will reduce corruption of organic products, reduce
CO2 emissions from the creation and destruction of the plastic and prevent harm... Show more

Although plastic bags, as well as paper bags, can be recycled in order to postpone running out of
resources, the creation and destruction of the plastic releases CO2 or (Carbon Dioxide) into the air
damaging the Earth s atmosphere along with all the other horrific machinery emitting the same
toxic and harmful gas. This is more popularly known as Plastic Pollution , one of the biggest
causes of climate change. An estimated 12 million barrels of oil are used to manufacture the 30
million plastic bags that Americans use each year. (Durkin, 1 bag at a time) Factories creating and
destroying these plastic bags have the some of the highest rates of CO2 emission. No matter how
the plastic bag is disposed of, either way it will end up releasing the catastrophic chemicals that are
killing our planet.
Recycling is a great attempt to preserve our natural resources, but it does not even come close to
saving the living creatures of Mother Earth herself. The build up of plastic bags and other
unnecessary items in our oceans is a greater cause of ecosystem disruption. An estimated 100,000
marine animals die each year due to suffocating on or ingesting plastic bags. Increased levels of
man made pollutants show up in areas like the Arctic, affecting Polar bears, other arctic mammals,
melting polar ice caps and adding to the stress of all climate change and global warming. All plastic
bags ever thrown away are stored in landfills, which only some of actually properly dispose

Eldridge is accidentally shot in the leg and later discharged from the Army as a result. Sanborn

Tipping Research Paper
Moving takes a lot of work, both physically and emotionally. It can be a very trying time, even for
the most organized individuals. If you hire movers to assist you with your move, and they exceed
your expectations, be sure to thank your movers for their efforts with a fair tip.
Tipping Is Not Required
Within the moving industry, tipping is not required; it is optional. Unlike in the restaurant industry,
where servers rely on tips to supplement their wages, movers are generally adequately
compensated for their time. However, when a mover does an exceptional job, they do appreciate
earning a tip for their efforts.

Hypersensitivity reactions are classified on the basis of the principal immunologic mechanism that
is responsible for tissue injury disease. As such, immediate hypersensitivity reactions are IgE
antibody and mast cell mediated responses to certain antigens which cause rapid vascular leakage
and mucosal secretions, often followed by inflammation. [1] IgE, mast cells, basophils, and
eosinophils are essential components of allergic inflammation. Antigen specific IgE antibodies are

Biography of Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn
Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn was the premier artist in 17th century Europe during the great
Golden Age of Dutch painting, well known for his Dutch Baroque style of art that lead to his title
as one of the greatest painters in history. His incredible brush technique and his masterful
appreciation of human nature combined to create a humongous impact on his peers as well as
influencing tons of artists of later years.1 He was born on July 15, 1606, in Leiden, Netherlands, a
small city located in the Dutch province of South Holland. Rembrandtwas born into a large family,
the eighth of nine children. His father, Harmen Gerritsz van Rijn, was a miller, and his mother,
Neeltgen Willemsd van Zuytbroeck, was the daughter of a baker. Rembrandt studied at Latin
school for seven years before enrolling in university in 1620, before leaving after only a few
months to become an apprentice to the painter for Jacob Isaacsz van Swanenburgh.2 After working
under Jacob Isaacsz van Swanenburgh for three years, Rembrandt left for Amsterdam, to work with
Pieter Lastman, in 1624. While many artists in the 17th century felt like they needed to travel to
Italy to fulfill their artistic training, Rembrandt never left Holland once in his entire life, taking
pride in his Dutch nationality.3 Pieter Lastman was one of the most respected experts in historical
paintings in all of Holland, as his inspiration in his works came mostly from mythological,
historical, and biblical scenes. Like Lastman,

Udayan Care Executive Summary
An organization not growing continually was an organization in decline. As previous mentioned,

faced, like fund raising challenge, human resource challenge, and etc. Based on the previous
analysis, A competitive strategy is the solution for Udayan Care.
According to Michael Porter (1996), Competitive strategy is about being different. It means
deliberately choosing to perform activities differently or to perform different activities than rivals
to deliver a unique mix of value. (p. 64) The textbook introduced five different types of
competitive strategies, which included low cost leadership, differentiation, best cost provider,
focused differentiation, and focused low cost (Thompson et al., 2014). In this particular case, best
cost provider strategy and focused low cost strategy will be the alternative to solve issues for

Global Sex Work Different Connotations For Different People
Global sex work different connotations for different people. For some women, it is about

Disadvantages Of Infinitive Clauses
Section Three
3.1 Non finite clauses
(Quirk, Greenbaum, Geoffrey, Svartik, 1985), say that non finite clauses are regularly dependent.
They are more compact and less explicit than finite clauses. They are not marked for tense and
modality, and they frequently lack an explicit subject and subordinator. (17): I don t know what to
write about.
3.1.1 Types of non finite clauses
1 Bare infinitive
Bare infinitive is the base form of the verb without to, this form of nonfinite clause has no tense.
The bare infinitive in general is very limited because it mostly occurs after verbs of causation,
perception and modal auxiliary. (18): I saw Jim leave. (See is a verb of perception) (19): I can tell
the truth. (Telling the truth is what occurs after modal auxiliary.
Bare infinitive in this case, functions as the complement of a verb, that is , it adds more
information to make the main verb understandable. (Biber, Johansson, Leech, Conrad, Finegan,
1999).
2 Infinitive clauses
Uninflected infinitive forms which comprise simply the base or stem of the verb with no added
inflection (such forms are frequently used after the so called infinitive particle to) Infinitive clauses
can have a range of syntactic roles a subject (20): The best thing would be for you to tell
everybody. b without subject (21): The best thing would be to tell everybody. c Direct object (22):
He upset you very much, and I hate to see that. (Quirk, Greenbaum, Geoffrey, Svartik, 1985)

No, Not Really LaGrand gives lynching statistics to showcase the cruelty of the Jim Crow Era
stating The Equal Justice Initiative has recently documented 3,959 African Americans lynched

often involving the ritualistic burning and dismemberment of dead bodies . These lynching

Sourd Vs Cullinan

refreshing to be able to sit and patiently enjoy a film that rejects this silly philosophy. With Sofia

A Very Brief History Of Beeswax Candles
Many candles have been used for hundreds and thousands of years and ever since the 1900 s it
has been the only source of light. Present, not many people use candles for their main light
source. Some reasons why some people use candles is for decorations, religious ceremonies, and
to celebrate other people s birthdays. In past years most candles were made from tallow. Tallow
came from cows and sheep, in the earlier times of the Egyptians and the Roman s. These early
candles didn t burn well and normally smelled worse. The Roman Empire was the first to provide
evidence of a candlethat resembles the candle today. They melted the tallow until it was a liquid
and poured it over fibers of flax, hemp, and cotton, which were used as a wick. These candles
were used in religious ceremonies as well as lighting for their travels and houses.
In the earlier ages beeswax was used to make candles. These beeswax candles were made much
like the Romans made the candles out of tallow. Beeswax was a drastic improvement from the
tallow, but limited quantities were available. This made it expensive, limiting beeswax candles to
clergy and the upper class. Today, candles are mostly made from materials such as wax, paraffin
wax, beeswax or soy among other products. Some candles are also made from plant waxes or
tallow while others are made from a mixture of paraffin and plastic. Most people would say that
the size, shape or color would be the most important part of a candle, but most

Analysis Of Prospective Cohort Study Data
Statistical Analysis An objective of the analysis of prospective cohort study data is to compare
disease occurrence in the group to the exposure factors. Disease occurrence is measured using
cumulative incidence or incidence rates, and the relationship between exposure and disease
occurrence is quantified by the cumulative incidence or incidence rate difference and ratio.
Calculating an incidence rate involves determining the amount of person time accrued by each
study subject. Relative risks of each of the variables that are evaluated in the study are calculated.
In addition, a Cox proportional hazard models is used to analyzed the relationship between
environmental and genetic factors and type 1 diabetes mellitus. Persons years were calculated for
all the individuals from the beginning of the prospective cohort study until the end of the study or

Ethics In The Informant
The Informant will be analyzed using business knowledge regarding corporate social
responsibility, professionalism and ethics as well as good corporate governance. The use of the
theory under these topics in accordance to the operations of ADM will enable the determination of
whether ADM is operating effectively or not and whether this company s business processes are
legal and ethical or not. A few strategies will then be suggested to ADM where possible.
STORYLINE OF THE INFORMANT:
The Informant is a biographical comedy crime film which was directed by Steven Soderbergh and
released on the 18th of September 2009. Matt Damon stars as the informant as given by the title of
the movie joined by other stars including Joel McHale, Scott Bakula and Melanie Lynskey.

War, By Kate Daniels
While flipping through a historical magazine, a viewer observes the pictures of destroyed villages,
fields covered in debris or bodies, and survivors walking around shocked by what they just
experienced. Then one picture catches the eye. There is a screaming, naked girl running towards
the camera. The girl is young, thin and helpless. She is runningfrom the bombs and the black smoke
in the background. There are soldiers on the sidelines walkingwith their heads down. Viewers
cannot exactly pinpoint what the photo is telling them, but the image lingers in their minds for a
little while pondering how something so awful could have happened to that girl or why events, like
this one, take place. In both the photograph, Trang Bang, and the Poem, War, by Kate Daniels,
there are many ideas to think about. One idea is the distribution of power. Many times the idea of
power is elusive and can lead readers to misinterpret the art piece s true intentions. In the
photograph and the poem readers observe that the running naked child seems to be powerless
over the situation she is experiencing. Even though the readers may imagine themselves as
powerless as well, they are not actually powerless; they are powerful. Through the poem, readers
begin to see their role, as readers, that they play in the event and the power that they encompass to
be able to read and live in a world where they do have these capabilities. By recognizing the power
that readers can act and make decisions, they

Bob Marley Influence On Society
Despite many obstacles, one of them being a despised Rastaman, which was not socially
acceptable at the time, he became a figure of immeasurable influence and inspiration to millions
of young blacks and ghetto sufferahs. Though there were many other notable Reggae artist at
the time, such as Jacob Miller and Inner Circle (who is famous for the crossover hit Bad Boys
which became the theme song for the Cops television program.) The lead singer Jacob Miller was a
close friend of Marley and was just as popular among the natives of Jamaica but was killed in a car
crash. He and the Inner Circle band had been preparing to go on a United States tour with Bob

messages gained momentum, Bob Marley stood out as one of the most powerful and conscientious

The Realm Of Collegiate Athletics
The realm of collegiate athletics is made up of participants that hail from all walks of life. In many
instances the athletic programs that make up the university can be considered the most diverse
group on campus. The will to win largely attracts participants from every conceivable ethnic and
demographic background. The diversity and racial composition of athletic programs can provide
opportunities for athletes to learn about people who are different than themselves, help improve
interracial understanding, and help reduce prejudice among groups. Although diversity among
student athletes is a favorable goal, it is important that the coaches, athletic counselors, or anyone
working with student athletes have practices and procedures in place to immerse athletes within the
culture of collegiate athletics. The ability to succeed will be determined by the athlete and the
programs ability to function within a multilevel system that includes knowledge of the NCAA rules
and regulations, university policies, athletic department standards, and team dynamics (Fletcher,
2003). While there are many opportunities for student athletes to gain a cross racial understanding
from participating in team sports such as basketball, football, and track and field there can be
differences in racial diversity among sports. For instance, white college athletes comprise 68.3% of
the national populations in intercollegiate athletics at all levels (NCAA Division I, II, and III)
(NCAA, 2014). In the

Decameron And The Canterbury Tales
Through out the end half of the semester, all the stories have had to face death, either their own
or they were the ones doing the killing. The action of death ends up helping the characters grow
like within The Decameron and even Hamlet has some growing points. Not only was death a
main factor but all these stories are super long and some tend to be hard to follow and keep track
of like Beowulf and The CanterburyTales, were they bounce from one story to the other. To
compare these four stories to death would not be hard, mainly because it s a prominent aspect to
the stories but the reason for the deaths are all different, in The Decameron and The Canterbury
Talesthere is a major death that happens in the prologue to show how a certain group... Show more

Beowulf gets called to take care of a monster problem for his friend Hrothgar who is the King of
the Danes and his people are getting slaughtered by a monster called Grendel. Long story short,
he kills Grendel and that upset Grendel s mother, who is like a troll, so now Beowulf has to deal
with Grendel s mother, which he does. After slaying the monsters, receiving gold, land from his
own king, King of the Geats, Beowulf doesn t die for many years until he has to go kill a dragon,
which he dies from the poison from the dragon not from the loss of blood. All of this is relevant
because being the one to bring death make Beowulf a hero and a king, he doesn t just grow but
flourishes. He has already done all the growing up needed to conquer all the problems he may
encounter; he probably would have survived the dragon bite if it was not for the poison. Death
comes to Beowulf like it does to everyone but that doesn t stop his story because someone wrote it
down.
To finish this semester with these four stories, which where all centered around death and all had
two main common factors, death was either praised or mourned. Which is death is seen as a bad
thing but it is comes to the best and worst of us. Death tells a lot about the person who died, who it

William Shakespeare s Hamlet And Franco Zeffireli s Film...
William Shakespeare s Hamlet and Franco Zeffireli s film version of the story are different in
many ways, but the basic characters and basic plot remain the same. Franco Zeffirelli s
screenplay is an edited, re vamped version of the original tragedy in which lines are cut and scenes
are modified. Additionally, Zeffirelli modifies Shakespeare s ghost scenes and uses narrative and
filmtechniques to both create an overall suspenseful atmosphere and generate empathetic feelings
towards Hamlet. The various changes made by Zeffirelli are interesting, and attempting to analyze

In act one, scene one, line 28, the guards state that they have seen something frightening: What,
has this thing appeared again tonight? (1.1.28). It is here that the audience is able to witness the
ghosts, particularly when one guard says, Look where it comes again (1.1.49). The ghosts now
appear on stage. Horatio, a man of logic and reason, is also scared and admits that, It harrows me
with fear and wonder, thereby allowing the audience to learn that the former king, father of
Hamlet, is dead. There is a ghost clothed in his armor strolling the castle s battlements all through
the night. The barricades in the ghost scene of the film are foggy, filled with moonlight, and dark.
The setting gives the scene an even eerier feel, giving the viewer the idea that what is about to
take place could be frightening, suspenseful, or spooky in some way. The icy clouds of breath
hovering throughout the shot chill the viewer. The sky is empty, creating an isolated feeling. It is
obvious that this scene takes place at night, when the ghosts are able to freely roam; however, the
background lighting indicates that day is approaching, and that the ghost will soon have to return to
wherever it stays during the day.
In the film, the ghosts do not appear as soon as they do in the play. Instead, Zeffirelli rearranges
the order of some of the scenes. Occasionally, he even adds scenes that were not present in
Shakespeare s play. The first scene of the film is the king s funeral a

2005).
Cultural safety acknowledges and embraces the unique cultural backgrounds of individuals.
It means providing opportunities for people to express their ideas and beliefs and have their
cultural needs met. When people feel culturally safe they should feel freedom from fear, anxiety,
as being accepted and included. Being able to accept all people from cultures different to our own
does not only refer to people linguistic background, it also includes people who are from a
different gender, sexuality, age and ability.
To determining if the environment is culturally safe their needs to be evidence of any physical,
emotional, psychological and spiritual harm (Holly et al. 2005). Observing the atmospheres, body
language and the verbal communication between the people involved, whilst also having an
understanding that a safe space does not necessarily means that everybody is confortable and can
often be challenging (Holly et al. 2005).
OBSERVATION OF THE BIG BANG EPISODE:
The atmosphere appears to be friendly as they are eating and communicating in an acceptable
manner, Sheldon s behaviour does not provoke any argument or disharmony as there is no evidence
of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual harm (Holly. et al. 2005).Therefore making the
environment a space safe. The friends seem have the ability of suspending judgment, therefore not

Cyberbullying And Its Effect On Society
About 97% of today s youth are connected to the internet in some way, and about 20 40% have
experienced some form of cyberbullying at least once.1 This means that about 200 400 million
people between the age of 15 and 24 have been cyberbullied. Cyberbullying has been an issue
since the internet was first introduced for public use, and it is still a rising issue today. That is
why it is our job to fix it.
What is cyberbullying? you may be wondering. According to Dictionary.com, cyberbullying is
the act of harassing someone online by sending or posting mean messages, usually anonymously
.2 A strong example of cyberbullying would be a scenario in which someone at a school or place
of work were to get a hold of someone s phone number, and repeatedly send them mean or
intimidating texts that cause them to become stressed, worried, angry, depressed, or even suicidal,
overall having a significant negative effect on their work ethic. Another example of cyberbullying
would be if someone were to take an embarrassing photo or video of a peer and spread it around
through online social media, causing people to make fun of that person, or even bully them more,
and overall resulting in significant negative effects on their daily life and reputation, and
sometimes, in rare cases, suicide. While cyberbullying is less frequent than traditional bullying,3 it
is still a major issue for people worldwide, especially youth. Studies have shown that over half of
school students are bully

Greece And Its Relationship With The Eurozone
Greece and its relationship with the Eurozone
Victor Kasik
International Economics
This paper will provide a brief history of Greece and reviews the modern day problems that may
force Greece out of the Eurozone. Indeed, history is being made on a daily basis as the prospect of
a Greek exit would steer both the nation and the Eurozone into uncharted territory. This is a
cautionary tale about economic and political unification, the advantages and disadvantages of
giving up sovereign rights to a common cause, and the impact of cultural differences in trying to
solve mutual problems.

With the collapse of the junta the nation returned to its democratic roots and Greece became a
Parliamentary Republic.
In the years following WWII, Greece began to identify itself more as a Western European nation
than as a Balkan state. The economic integration of the European states began in 1951 with the
creation of the European Coal and Steel Community between Germany and France. This agreement
helped to bury the hatchet between these two former enemies, and served as a blueprint going
forward in lowering trade barriers, implementing common tariffs on imports from outside nations
and increasing cooperation among European countries. These efforts resulted in the establishment
of the European Economic Community in 1957. As old hostilities faded, Europe began to see itself
more as a cohesive unit of interrelated economic and political systems and provided a united front
against the economic power of the United States on one side, and the threat of communism on the
other side.
For example, France and Germany, once bitter enemies, made the decision to link their currencies in
response to what they considered to be the opportunistic economic policies of the United States. By
doing this, it hastened the collapse of the Bretton Woods agreement and allowed European countries
to float their currencies. This also allowed countries to

Standardized Configurations across the Network
DeVry University
NETW206: Introduction to Switching
Submitted to:
Professor:
Date: 0/0/00
In the last week, we just got an idea about the network configuration which we are going to
implement in the organization. As per the requirement, we have to implement 150 cameras in the
network. So we have to have huge bandwidth in our network to transfer the data from 150 cameras.
By implementing the technology called Virtual Local Area Network(VLAN), we can save the
bandwidth of our LAN.
VLAN means a group of devices on one or more logically segmented LANs (configured by use of
management software), enabling devices to communicate as if attached to the same physical
medium, when they are actually located on numerous different LAN segments. VLANs are based
on logical instead of physical connections and thus are tremendously flexible.
There are two types of VLANs.
1. End to End VLANs
2. Local VLANs
End to End VLANs
The term end to end VLAN refers to a single VLAN that is associated with switch ports that are
widely dispersed throughout an enterprise network on multiple switches. A Layer 2 switched
campus network carries traffic for this VLAN

A New Electronic Board Game
Paul Smith, Roberta and Theo are 3 friends whom want to start a new business based upon their
idea of a new electronic board game, which will be manufactured by the group themselves. Within
this case, I have found many legal issues that must be tackled or understood for the business to run
legally and smoothly.
The first issue found in the case is based around the logo that has been created by Paul for their
business. First, we have to ask if Paul has checked his logo; which can also be known as a trademark
, against New Zealand s list of registered trademarks and if their chosen trademark (name, brand,
logo) is the same or similar to any others registered companies. Secondly, we would need to see if
Paul plans to register the company. Paul could decide not to register the company but still
successfully use their unregistered trademark due to S9 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA), yet
a registered trademark offer s the company better protection and it is strongly advised that
companies register their trade mark under the Trade Mark Act 2002 (TMA). The TMA offers a
number of advantages over the FTA in terms of trademarks. Trademarks are considered under
statue law meaning it can be both criminal and civil law, therefore meaning the company could be
sued or face a large fine if their trademark is similar to another and they continue to use it. This
could misrepresent the original owners of the trademark, which may lead to loss for the particular
company. In this case, the trio

Difference Between Rulemaking And Adjudication
In 1946 Congress enacted the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) to provide minimum standards
for federal agencies (Szypszak, 2011). Szypszak (2011) further states that the APA addressed the
fundamental aspects of agency rulemaking and adjudication. APA authorizes two basic forms of
administrative action: rulemaking and adjudication. Rulemaking is a quasi legislative function that
sets standards for future application (Ferguson, 2006). According to Vago (2015) administrative
rulemaking is the single most important function carried out by a government agency. He states
that it is the establishment of prospective rules. Rulemaking is the process for formulating policy
for the future by promulgating, amending, or repealing a rule that provides... Show more content on

Adjudication is the administrative equivalent of a judicial trial. Under adjudication, individual
cases are heard by law judges within agencies and a body of rules is developed (Kettl, 2015).
Adjudication differs from rulemaking in that it applies only to a specific, limited number of parties
involved in an individual case before the agency (Vago, 2015). The Administrative Procedure Act
(APA) separates adjudication from rulemaking by stating that adjudication is an agency process for
the formulation of an order and an order is a final disposition in a matter other than rulemaking.
There is formal and informal adjudication. Formal adjudication involves some kind of hearing,
whereas informal adjudication takes place in settings that are non confrontational and often not
even face to face and is undertaken by non hearing deciders (Cane, 2009). Adjudications can take
many forms, but generally can be grouped into law enforcement adjudications (such as those
conducted by the Federal Trade Commission) benefits adjudications (such as those conducted by
the Social Security Administration) and licensing and permit adjudications (such as those
conducted by the Environmental Protection Agency) (Forte and Spalding,

(Mintel, 2010) Also charity events have increased the global involvement in music events and have attracted not only a wider variety of public but also political involvement. Because of this, live music events have been able to attract a much bigger variety of public, which has enabled the business to create global music events that are not focused on a particular segment of people but attract people of all ages and social backgrounds. (Bennett, A., 2001) Legal As a result of commercial success and growth in the live music events business legal involvement has over the years become necessary and this means involvement of an entire business that has contributed to the growth of the music events industry in many ways. Using Secondary Data Sources In Public Health Module 3 Professional Learning Log # 4Monica Eickmeyer The use of secondary data sources adds another resource for public health practitioners in policy and intervention development. Instead of just using primary resources, secondary resources may be integrated to provide robust data collectively. Also, multiple data sources may be applied to gain a better understanding of the public health concern. Data sets available for mortality, morbidity, health outcomes, social and living environments can determine health needs and barriers to care. In situations where funding resources are a concern or limited, secondary data sources may be considered and applied in public health. If another agency has already collected the data, expenses are reduced and time is saved. However, categories and age groups may not be available for the question you have chosen. ... • 9. The Effects Of Jews On Jewish Population During The Nazi... An important topic is being researched, and it concerns the Final Solution of the Nazis concerning the Jews. On January 20th 1942, 15 leading officials of the Nazi state met at a villa in Wannsee, a suburb of Berlin, to discuss the Final solution of the Jewish Question ( The Final Solution, 2015). They used the term Final Solution to refer to their plan to annihilate the Jewish people. It is not known when the leaders of Nazi Germanydefinitively decided to implement their plan to eradicate the Jews ( United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2015). Although, the genocide, or mass destruction, of the Jews was the culmination of a decade of increasingly severe discriminatory measures ( United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2015). The Final Solution resulted in the holocaust, one of the most horrific crimes against humanity. As a result, I am going to discuss the Final Solution, and its effects on Jewish population during the Nazi regime. Firstly, when Adolf Hitlercame into power in Germany on May 8th 1945, one of his main goals was to purify the German race. He believed that all races were inferior to the German race. As a result, the Jewish people of Europe suffered severe persecution which eventually led to them being murdered. Hitler spread propaganda all throughout Germany, which cause the German people to hate the Jews. He made them believe that the Jewish people were the cause of all the problems in Germany. As a result, Hitler instilled fear in the German ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I could kill you Serena s eyes gleamed as the flurry of anger inside her had turned into admiration and desire; often the effect he had upon her and after so much time apart, it was the logical emotion to be feeling. Naturally, their lips met again; yet this time with passionate undertones; a move that failed to go unnoticed by a few colleagues who had seen the strike of 12 as a cue to move to another venue. A few wit woos had caused the pair to part; they relationship unintentionally public knowledge yet that felt okay. Let s get out of here Where shall we go? The Pathology of Whitenes in Pym, by Mat Johnson Mat Johnsons novel, Pym challenges readers not only to view his work with a new set of eyes but also the work of all American literature with the understanding that the idea of Whiteness still has a very strong power over literature today. It is unfortunate that in today s society, the pathology of Whiteness still holds a very strong presence in literary world. Literature from American authors versus literature from African Americanauthors still continues to be segregated and handled with two different sets of criteria. Johnson s novelengages in different aspects of the argument presented in Toni Morrison s work entitled Playing in the Dark: Whiteness and the Literary Imagination. One of the main ideals that Pym engages in is the thought... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When he meets the man hired to be replacement at the bar the young man expresses to him that he plans to join the diversity committee to make a difference. Jaynes replies to him saying You re not fighting Whiteness, you re feeding its perversion (20). While some feel as though things such as diversity committees are put into place to help erase the racial lines that divide American cultures, if these committees prove to be stagnate and unproductive they are really just keeping the systems segregated. It is easy to say that you have a diversity committee but if it is not actively trying to fight against segregation and focusing on all Americans being viewed as one instead of as different subsets, the committee becomes useless. Instead of the diversity committee representing change, it is aiding in pathology of Whiteness. Johnson takes Morrison s argument past simply identifying that Whiteness is still very much dominate in literature today and focuses on ways that we are still helping it to exist. He challenges the reader to identify the roles they are taking in keeping this impenetrable whiteness alive and helps them see that they are too affected by the pathology of Whiteness. Johnson challenges the readers by addressing the very thing that they do to try to make a change is what is holding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

By enveloping this dual mindset of society, Cremona has developed an impartial writingstyle capable of communicating with a wide variety of backgrounds effectively, whom, in his words, is to see as either blue, or white, or some shade thereof (195) In other words, the author explains that he can adopt either method of communication from blue collar and white collar societies individually, or blend the two styles together. By doing so, Cremona harnesses the authoritative terminology of white collar speech, while exhibiting the loud and brash nature of blue collar speech in one format to help achieve the intended audience reaction. (196) This point is demonstrated in the author s earlier example, where after filing a complaint to an airline while utilizing this writing format, swift action was taken by the firm to compensate Cremona for his trouble. Cremona s ability to persuade the airline was due, in part, to the author s ability to convey emotion plainly and effectively through written words alone, thanks to his utilization of blue collar speech; Cremona himself views this form of expression as basic, bold, and workman like [sic]. • 13. Divinity Of Love Essay Once a week, the fan runs away from home and attends the stadium. Flags flicker, rattles sound, rockets, drums, rain snakes and paper cut; the city disappears, the routine is forgotten, there is only one existing location, the temple. In this sacred space, the only religion that does not have atheists exhibits its divinities. Although the fan can contemplate the miracle, more comfortably, on the TV screen, he prefers to undertake the pilgrimage to this place where he can see his angels in flesh and blood, fighting a duel against the demons of the day and explains, How will you know what love is if you never became a fan of a club. Here, the fan shakes the handkerchief, swallows, gulp , swallows poison, eats the cap, whispers prayers and curses and suddenly breaks his throat in an ovation and jumps like a flea, hugging the stranger who shouts the goal at his side. While the pagan mass lasts, the fans are many. With thousands of devotees he shares the certainty that we are the best, all the referees are sold, all the rivals are cheaters. Rarely does the fan say, Today my club plays . Rather it says, Today we play. Well known is this player number twelve that it is he who blows the winds of fervor that push the ball when she falls asleep, as the other eleven players know that playing without fans is like dancing without music. When the match concludes, the fan, who has not moved from the rostrum, celebrates his victory; what a contest, what a game, what a show... • 14. PPI Inhibitors Strategies to Identify PPI Inhibitors With the newfound understanding of PPIs, there have been increased efforts to further elucidate the mechanisms of PPIs, and the past decade and a half has seen significant progress in the field (Fig 3).27, 28 Attempts to inhibit PPIs have focused on two main interaction types: orthosteric and allosteric. Orthosteric interactions refers to competitive inhibition of the PPIs, by binding to one of the involved proteins and thus blocking the interface. Biography of Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn was the premier artist in 17th century Europe during the great Golden Age of Dutch painting, well known for his Dutch Baroque style of art that lead to his title as one of the greatest painters in history. His incredible brush technique and his masterful appreciation of human nature combined to create a humongous impact on his peers as well as influencing tons of artists of later years.1 He was born on July 15, 1606, in Leiden, Netherlands, a small city located in the Dutch province of South Holland. While many artists in the 17th century felt like they needed to travel to Italy to fulfill their artistic training, Rembrandt never left Holland once in his entire life, taking pride in his Dutch nationality.3 Pieter Lastman was one of the most respected experts in historical paintings in all of Holland, as his inspiration in his works came mostly from mythological, historical, and biblical scenes. They are more compact and less explicit than finite clauses. They are not marked for tense and modality, and they frequently lack an explicit subject and subordinator. (17): I don t know what to write about. 3.1.1 Types of non finite clauses 1 Bare infinitive Bare infinitive is the base form of the verb without to, this form of nonfinite clause has no tense. The bare infinitive in general is very limited because it mostly occurs after verbs of causation, perception and modal auxiliary. (18): I saw Jim leave. (See is a verb of perception) (19): I can tell the truth. (Telling the truth is what occurs after modal auxiliary. Bare infinitive in this case, functions as the complement of a verb, that is , it adds more information to make the main verb understandable. (Biber, Johansson, Leech, Conrad, Finegan, 1999). 2 Infinitive clauses Uninflected infinitive forms which comprise simply the base or stem of the verb with no added inflection (such forms are frequently used after the so called infinitive particle to) Infinitive clauses can have a range of syntactic roles a subject (20): The best thing would be for you to tell everybody. b without subject (21): The best thing would be to tell everybody. c Direct object (22): He upset you very much, and I hate to see that. • 39. A Very Brief History Of Beeswax Candles Many candles have been used for hundreds and thousands of years and ever since the 1900 s it has been the only source of light. Present, not many people use candles for their main light source. Some reasons why some people use candles is for decorations, religious ceremonies, and to celebrate other people s birthdays. In past years most candles were made from tallow. Tallow came from cows and sheep, in the earlier times of the Egyptians and the Roman s. These early candles didn t burn well and normally smelled worse. The Roman Empire was the first to provide evidence of a candlethat resembles the candle today. They melted the tallow until it was a liquid and poured it over fibers of flax, hemp, and cotton, which were used as a wick. These candles were used in religious ceremonies as well as lighting for their travels and houses. In the earlier ages beeswax was used to make candles. These beeswax candles were made much like the Romans made the candles out of tallow. Beeswax was a drastic improvement from the tallow, but limited quantities were available. This made it expensive, limiting beeswax candles to clergy and the upper class. Today, candles are mostly made from materials such as wax, paraffin wax, beeswax or soy among other products. Some candles are also made from plant waxes or tallow while others are made from a mixture of paraffin and plastic. Analysis Of Prospective Cohort Study Data Statistical Analysis An objective of the analysis of prospective cohort study data is to compare disease occurrence in the group to the exposure factors. Disease occurrence is measured using cumulative incidence or incidence rates, and the relationship between exposure and disease occurrence is quantified by the cumulative incidence or incidence rate difference and ratio. Calculating an incidence rate involves determining the amount of person time accrued by each study subject. Relative risks of each of the variables that are evaluated in the study are calculated. In addition, a Cox proportional hazard models is used to analyzed the relationship between environmental and genetic factors and type 1 diabetes mellitus. Persons years were calculated for all the individuals from the beginning of the prospective cohort study until the end of the study or end due to loss to follow up. The reasoning for utilizing the Cox proportional hazards models is because the study has continuous and multiple covariates. Each of the factors need to be evaluate and compare in order to establish whether there is a relationship between environmental factors and the manifestation of type 1 diabetes mellitus. Multivariate analysis is necessary to implement due to the potential number of confounding variables in the study. Many times the idea of power is elusive and can lead readers to misinterpret the art piece s true intentions. In the photograph and the poem readers observe that the running naked child seems to be powerless over the situation she is experiencing. Even though the readers may imagine themselves as powerless as well, they are not actually powerless; they are powerful. • 53. Cyberbullying And Its Effect On Society About 97% of today s youth are connected to the internet in some way, and about 20 40% have experienced some form of cyberbullying at least once.1 This means that about 200 400 million people between the age of 15 and 24 have been cyberbullied. Cyberbullying has been an issue since the internet was first introduced for public use, and it is still a rising issue today. That is why it is our job to fix it. What is cyberbullying? you may be wondering. According to Dictionary.com, cyberbullying is the act of harassing someone online by sending or posting mean messages, usually anonymously .2 A strong example of cyberbullying would be a scenario in which someone at a school or place of work were to get a hold of someone s phone number, and repeatedly send them mean or intimidating texts that cause them to become stressed, worried, angry, depressed, or even suicidal, overall having a significant negative effect on their work ethic. Another example of cyberbullying would be if someone were to take an embarrassing photo or video of a peer and spread it around through online social media, causing people to make fun of that person, or even bully them more, and overall resulting in significant negative effects on their daily life and reputation, and sometimes, in rare cases, suicide. • 54. Greece And Its Relationship With The Eurozone Greece and its relationship with the Eurozone Victor Kasik International Economics This paper will provide a brief history of Greece and reviews the modern day problems that may force Greece out of the Eurozone. Indeed, history is being made on a daily basis as the prospect of a Greek exit would steer both the nation and the Eurozone into uncharted territory. This is a cautionary tale about economic and political unification, the advantages and disadvantages of giving up sovereign rights to a common cause, and the impact of cultural differences in trying to solve mutual problems. Modern day Greece is a nation with 10.8 million people, and is the 15th largest economy in the 28 member European Union. As of 2013, the GDP of Greece was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the collapse of the junta the nation returned to its democratic roots and Greece became a Parliamentary Republic. In the years following WWII, Greece began to identify itself more as a Western European nation than as a Balkan state. The economic integration of the European states began in 1951 with the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community between Germany and France. This agreement helped to bury the hatchet between these two former enemies, and served as a blueprint going forward in lowering trade barriers, implementing common tariffs on imports from outside nations and increasing cooperation among European countries. These efforts resulted in the establishment of the European Economic Community in 1957. As old hostilities faded, Europe began to see itself more as a cohesive unit of interrelated economic and political systems and provided a united front against the economic power of the United States on one side, and the threat of communism on the other side. For example, France and Germany, once bitter enemies, made the decision to link their currencies in response to what they considered to be the opportunistic economic policies of the United States. By doing this, it hastened the collapse of the Bretton Woods agreement and allowed European countries to float their currencies. This also allowed countries to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As per the requirement, we have to implement 150 cameras in the network. So we have to have huge bandwidth in our network to transfer the data from 150 cameras. By implementing the technology called Virtual Local Area Network(VLAN), we can save the bandwidth of our LAN. VLAN means a group of devices on one or more logically segmented LANs (configured by use of management software), enabling devices to communicate as if attached to the same physical medium, when they are actually located on numerous different LAN segments. VLANs are based on logical instead of physical connections and thus are tremendously flexible. There are two types of VLANs. 1. End to End VLANs 2. Local VLANs End to End VLANs The term end to end VLAN refers to a single VLAN that is associated with switch ports that are

  • 57. A New Electronic Board Game Paul Smith, Roberta and Theo are 3 friends whom want to start a new business based upon their idea of a new electronic board game, which will be manufactured by the group themselves. Within this case, I have found many legal issues that must be tackled or understood for the business to run legally and smoothly. The first issue found in the case is based around the logo that has been created by Paul for their business. First, we have to ask if Paul has checked his logo; which can also be known as a trademark , against New Zealand s list of registered trademarks and if their chosen trademark (name, brand, logo) is the same or similar to any others registered companies. Secondly, we would need to see if Paul plans to register the company. Paul could decide not to register the company but still successfully use their unregistered trademark due to S9 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA), yet a registered trademark offer s the company better protection and it is strongly advised that companies register their trade mark under the Trade Mark Act 2002 (TMA). The TMA offers a number of advantages over the FTA in terms of trademarks. Trademarks are considered under statue law meaning it can be both criminal and civil law, therefore meaning the company could be sued or face a large fine if their trademark is similar to another and they continue to use it. This could misrepresent the original owners of the trademark, which may lead to loss for the particular company. In this case, the trio ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 58. Difference Between Rulemaking And Adjudication In 1946 Congress enacted the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) to provide minimum standards for federal agencies (Szypszak, 2011). Szypszak (2011) further states that the APA addressed the fundamental aspects of agency rulemaking and adjudication. APA authorizes two basic forms of administrative action: rulemaking and adjudication. Rulemaking is a quasi legislative function that sets standards for future application (Ferguson, 2006). According to Vago (2015) administrative rulemaking is the single most important function carried out by a government agency. He states that it is the establishment of prospective rules. Rulemaking is the process for formulating policy for the future by promulgating, amending, or repealing a rule that provides... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Adjudication is the administrative equivalent of a judicial trial. Under adjudication, individual cases are heard by law judges within agencies and a body of rules is developed (Kettl, 2015). Adjudication differs from rulemaking in that it applies only to a specific, limited number of parties involved in an individual case before the agency (Vago, 2015). The Administrative Procedure Act (APA) separates adjudication from rulemaking by stating that adjudication is an agency process for the formulation of an order and an order is a final disposition in a matter other than rulemaking. There is formal and informal adjudication. Formal adjudication involves some kind of hearing, whereas informal adjudication takes place in settings that are non confrontational and often not even face to face and is undertaken by non hearing deciders (Cane, 2009). Adjudications can take many forms, but generally can be grouped into law enforcement adjudications (such as those conducted by the Federal Trade Commission) benefits adjudications (such as those conducted by the Social Security Administration) and licensing and permit adjudications (such as those conducted by the Environmental Protection Agency) (Forte and Spalding, ...
