Into That Night
The British poet, Dylan Thomas led a difficult life an example of his poetry is Do not go gentle into
that night which discusses love and bravery of his father by examining his reaction to his dying father.
First let me introduce you to this brilliant poet. He was born in Oct 27 1914 Swansea, Glamorgan,
Wales (Dylan, Thomas). At early age, he was into poem because his father David John Thomas who
was a teacher (Kershner, Jr.,). His Dad was a man born with brains and literary talent but somehow he
never been able to go beyond being a teacher (Cyr, Marc D). Dylan left school at age of 16 mainly
because he was doing poorly at school (Thomas, Dylan). But in some way he found a job at South
Wales Daily Post as a reporter (Kershner, Jr.,) (Thomas, Dylan). In 1934 he released his first book, 18

In this poem he talks about a person who s dying to not accept the death rather fight against it
(Hochman, Jhan.). And in last stanza, we realized the person he s talking about is his own father John
Thomas (Schwarz, Daniel R.). Dylan Thomas telling his father to Rage, rage against death (Hochman,
Jhan.). If I were to analyze the whole poem, we can see on his fist stanza he uses the word night to
describe death (Shmoop Editorial Team). And later he repeatedly use words like close of day and
dying of the light to remind the death. What Dylan Thomas trying to tell the reader is that old men
shouldn t peacefully die instead they should burn and rave (Shmoop Editorial Team). He uses the
word rage twice to describe the anger and the frustration (Shmoop Editorial Team). Later he went on
to say that true goodness consist of fighting the inevitability of death with your might: Good men [...]

Plastic Surgery Operations For The Age
There were 236,356 plastic surgery operations for the age group 13 19 in 2012 alone (Penningtons
Manches) and surely the rate has increased in the past 4 years. Many people believe that it is up to the
child to decide what they do to their bodies but those decisions can negatively affect their overall
wellbeing. Understanding that there are certain exceptions, such as it being medically necessary, to
this, teenagers under the age of 18 should not be allowed, even with parental consent, to get plastic
surgery for cosmetic purposes because it is harmful to their physical and mental health, as well as the
economy in and outside hospitals and their futures. As of right now, a teenager under the age of 18
years old can receive plastic surgery treatments, as long as they have parental consent ( Cosmetic
Surgery in Teenagers: To Do or Not to Do. ). Common procedures that teenages get, include
rhinoplasty, otoplasty, breast augmentation, and acne treatments. Rhinoplasty, also known as nose
reshaping or nose job, was performed 30,672 times in 2013 on 13 19 year olds ( Plastic Surgery For
Teenagers Briefing Paper. ). Otoplasty, which is the practice that pins a person s ears back, did not
only take up 10.7 percent of all teenage plastic surgery procedures, but the technique was performed
more than 6,871 times in 2013 ( Plastic Surgery For Teenagers Briefing Paper. ). Breast procedures
range from reduction, symmetry, or enlargement. It is understandable that a teenager with extreme

The Most Convincing Justification for Private Property
The most convincing justification for private property provided by Ziff is that of economic efficiency.
Private property incentivises innovation, lowers the cost of dealing with externalities, and with
moderation, reduces the susceptibility of property to the tragedy of the commons. Economic efficiency
holds particular weight because of the significant amount of today s societies that rely on a market
based system to conduct business, trade and commerce. This system lists private property as one of its
founding tenets and therefore heightens the justification s persuasiveness. It is not suggested that a
fully privatised property regime would be ideal either, but a mixture of both private property and
communal property is seen as the best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To the contrary Ziff argues that the cost of policing would also be more expensive under a private
property regime as the creation of boundaries would add costs that would not have otherwise have
existed. Conversely Grafton suggests that the cost of boundary erection is merely temporary, as after
the initial set up of boundaries, cost of negotiations and policing are comparatively reduced.
Communal property rights contrast this; as they hold long term economic costs to the interest owners
as negotiation costs will continue to increase exponentially, as policing costs are not one off, and
negotiation costs are comparatively higher . It is therefore evident that private property provides the
most economically efficient method of dealing with externalities in the short run and the long run, as
costs and reaction time are rapidly reduced.
Ziff also argues that the over distribution of private property may result in myopic view of
externalities, as each land owner would only care for their own property and not about the needs of the
wider community affected by externalities created by their land. This short term view, is an inherent
downfall of private property, but society has developed means and ways in which these costs can be
met, for example through regulatory authorities, and it is therefore argued that a fully privatise
property regime would not be preferable but a partly common and partly private alternative, as

Happiness And Happiness
According to the Bible ... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22 23) Many
have grown up listening to songs that teach the fruit of the spirit. For those who do not know this
reference It is the attitude people are supposed to hold themselves to. Most people assume that Joy is
the same as happiness, but people do not get the option to be happy. This is one of many reasons that
Joy is not correlated to Happiness. You do not need to be happy to be joyful because Joy is a mindset,
it is not based on emotions, and is permanent and internal.
While, many of us think of Joy as happiness, happiness is a not a mindset. Joy is a choice, and a
mindset. Joy is an attitude and has to be wanted. An example of this is mentioned in Choose Joy by
Kay Warren, where she states that a person experiences as much joy as they choose to. In the
situations people experience in their lives, they can either choose to have joy in those times, and be
thankful and rejoice in the position they are put in, or have a mindset that they won t get through the
hard, and focus on the negatives in life instead. Joy is a mindset of positivity and optimism. Joseph
Campbell also addresses the mindset of Joy We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose
to live in joy. People have the choice to choose joy. Happiness; however, is something people can not
choose to be,

Roles Of The English Monarchy
The English monarchy s role is to govern the United Kingdom, to unite, keep the United Kingdom
safe, and represent Britain. The English monarchy has been around for centuries since the Romans to
modern day England. The Monarchs take on duties that have been around for centuries. The monarch,
however, is a constitutional monarchy which means that according to the constitution there are rules
that monarchs must follow. She does not act alone but works with Parliament, the country s legislative
body. One of the official duties of the monarchy is to schedule meetings with the Prime Minister to
discuss on Parliament s latest debates and new bills being formed. The monarchy must give her
approval of the bills before Parliament passes them and they become law. The monarchs residual
powers include enacting legislation, giving out awards of honor, to sign treaties, and to declare war.
The monarch also has the power to decline the government s request to dissolve Parliament and call an
election. The monarch chooses a Prime Minister to guide the monarchy and is responsible for policies
and decisions in government. Today, England s current Prime Minister is Theresa May as of July 13th.

Jeans During The Gold Rush
Jeans are something that we think it is a fashion statement but they aren t. The real reasons jeans were
made for is for miners during the gold rush. The person who made them was a guy named Levi
Strauss, but he didn t intend on making them he wanted to make tents and wagon covers. He made
pants that were made for working into a style forever. Man, that is a lot right who knows. Levi Sounds
familiar right I mean it should. Levi was original from new york and traveled to California to get rich.
He wanted to make wagon covers and tents for the miners but no one was in the market for them.
Then he made a type of pants that could withstand the mines. Then when the miners came home word
spread that it could stand the Ruf conditions of the workplace.

The Epidemic Of West Nile Virus

In year 2013, CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) get report of 2605 cases as regards to
noticeable arboviral disease, comprising those caused through 2469 cases of WNV (West Nile Virus),
85 cases of LACV, 22 cases of JCV, 8 cases of EEEV, and 15 cases of POWV, and cases of few other

5. Laboratory Work: Persons in the laboratories at which location WNV surveillance and R D is being
performed can get contaminated through WNV. (What is West Nile Virus? What causes West Nile
Virus?, 2010)
What types of epidemiological studies would be most useful to help one gather data, descriptive or
analytical studies, and why?
Descriptive study would be the most valuable to assist one gather data since descriptive study depicts
the populations which are at risk and the level of disease (WNV) together in space and time inside
these populations. Descriptive study would authorize to compute the amount of persons infected
through WNV during a time period. This might authorize a sequence of propositions to be built as
regards determinants of WNV and consequences of WNV on populace. (4. The epidemiological
approach to investigating disease problems)
What is the significance to your local community and the state community in relation to the disease?
WNV can result in intricate infection. WNV has spread as a cyclic plague into North America. WNV
signifies a mosquito borne virus which spread in birds. Mosquitoes are generally wandered in the
space and usually bite humans and animals. Therefore, WNV can be spread straightforwardly and
cause complex infections.

Essay about Coming Of Age In Mississippi
Coming of Age in Mississippi is an eye opening testimony to the racism that exemplified what it was
like to be an African American living in the south before and after the civil rights movements in the 50
s and 60 s. African Americans had been given voting and citizen rights, but did not and to a certain
degree, still can not enjoy these rights. The southern economy that Anne Moody was born into in the
40 s was one that was governed and ruled by a bunch of whites, many of which who very prejudice.
This caused for a very hard up bringing for a young African American girl. Coming of Age in

Also, I think that since she was busy with everything else in her life that she could not really hang out
with friends, church was a place for her to make some friends. Religion was not just a factor for Anne,
but for many of the slaves during the Civil War. The slaves would use religion as a way to get away
from the harsh realities of their lives. Also they viewed Jesus and Moses as heroes who lead their
people to freedom. Their religion was aimed toward the real world rather than being in heaven when
they died. Basically, their singing or praying was about being delivered from slavery. They also used
hymns as special codes for meeting points while trying to escape. To me the song Swanee River has a
different meaning to the song on page 129. To me Swanne River was talking about being at home and
a child, being around the familiar faces; your family and friends. Also, I think that home refers to
being back on the plantation where they know they have security. Not in the sense of being safe, but
being where they know and somewhat have fun. The song on page 129 about god s hebben means to
me that black and white people are the same, minus the color of their skin. It is saying that every one
is the same in God s eyes, and when we get to heaven we are all going to look the same. To me the
Swanee River song tells me that the black people miss being at home and as much as they hated being
owned by whites they miss being on the

Comparing The Dream Of The Rood And Piers Plowman
Throughout Christian poems and stories, the story of Christ and His crucifixion occasionally shows
up, either as the focus of the story or a prominent part of it. Naturally, the portrayal of this scene
always stays with the same basic outline, with Christ dying while on the cross after his trial. Although
the basics stay the same, stories occasionally show different portrayals of the death of Jesus. This
aforementioned crucifixion scene appears in both The Dream of the Rood and Piers Plowman.
However, although these stories portray the same scene, they do so in varying ways. While The Dream
of the Rood and Piers Plowman both had the same response from creation to Jesus s death and similar
actions from the people who wished for Jesus to die, they differed with portraying Jesus s torture
while he hung from the cross. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Dream of the Rood, the narrator says that shadows went forth (The Dream of the Rood ln. 54),
with dark under clouds (Rood 55). Similarly, in Piers Plowman, the story also shows a scene after
Jesus s death where Daylight shrank (Piers Plowman pg. 212) and the sun was darkened (Piers 212).
However, these two stories share even more similarities with their portrayal of creation s reaction.
Piers Plowman tells of a terrifying noise (Piers 212), while The Dream of the Rood says that all
creation wept (Rood 55). Even though their exact words may differ, both The Dream of the Rood and
Piers Plowman paint a very similar picture for their

The book Big Fish and its movie adaptation shows the importance of how different factors help to

determined to find the truth in his father s stories in order to understand who his father truly was
behind his fantastic stories. The movie does not fail in its interpretation of the novel, in fact the movie

Motifs are described as a recurring theme that has symbolic significance. Motifs are a powerful
embellishment and provide movies with a traceable pattern or a significant meeting to look for later

Big Fish consisted of the ring that Edward used to catch the fish, the Witch s eye that showed Edward
his death, the fish that Edward caught the day his son was born and the giant. An example of the
Giants significance in the movie Big Fish was when he stated, You think this town is too small for
you? This town is too small for my ambition. The giant in the small city of Ashton represents the big

his future relationship with the witch. Lastly, the eye is a motif for the life he didn t have and it was

Forgive In The Sunflower
Forgive, not because they deserve forgives, but because you deserve peace. It s not easy to stop
blaming someone s fault, especially for someone who do wrong to us. In the book The Sunflower

conflict with Karl, a dying Nazi soldier who killed many innocent Jews and begging for forgiveness
for his outrageous crime at the end of his life. At the end of this sad and tragic episode, Simon did not
response to Karl s request directly; instead he left us a tough question: What should you have done?

America s Role In World War I
What triggered World War I? The main reason still remains unanswered. World War I was one of the
most horrific wars that the world has ever experienced. The war was fought in Europe between
Germany, Russia, France, Great Britain, the U.S. and many others. Militarism, alliance systems and
imperialist were some of the causes that set off the one of the greatest wars in the history of the world.
Militarism played a vast role in WWI. Since Germany s nation was industrialized, they invested
millions of dollars refining their military to make it ready for war. In order for all the other countries

Although the United States embarked on a famine relief program in the Soviet Union in the early
1920s and American businessmen established commercial ties there during the period of the New

oppressive nature of Joseph Stalin s command presented an impossible obstacle to friendly relations

African descent in U.S. history. This month is referred to as Black History Month. One moth to

However, Woodson never intended the month to be in recognition of black firsts and recognized icons.
The month was intended to be a stepping stone around the hate of the era and eventually have black
history included in the teachings of American history.
Woodson s vision for this observance was to show the African American people the work ethic,
entrepreneurship, and dignity evincive of our ancestors. He also wanted to use it as a way to progress
Caucasians past vicious stereotyping. Ultimately, it was supposed to be about unity and not create a
cultural divide based on ethnocentric pride. The need for Negro History Week in 1926 and Black
History Month in 1976 was self evident. But in 2017, is it potentially harming our causes and
movements? And I am in no way saying that Black pride is harming us. It seems that what used to be a
campaign around hate is inciting hateful backlash. From Beyoncé dressing as a black panther, to a
movement to make Black Lives Matter, to electing our very first black president.
While two of those are monumental, they shouldn t be an excuse for the blatant racism recently
coming into light. A racism that spent a couple decades hiding from the public until protected by the
imaginary shield of the internet and social media. And the worst thing about this racism is that very
rarely is it the racism we have come to know. It s conditional.

Qualitative Research Appraisal
According to Schneider, Elliot, LoBiondo Wood Haber (2004), qualitative research methods, search
for the meaning and understanding of human experiences in a naturalistic setting. A researcher obtains
subjective facts in order to explore the experiences of each participant (Schneider, Elliot, LoBiondo
Wood Haber 2004). As a result, qualitative research is a means in which a researcher gains an insight
into the participant s point of view concerning their personal experiences; in order gain an
understanding of the information given. Therefore this allows a researcher to collect subjective
information to create a description of the phenomenon (Vishnevsky Beanlands 2004).

The researchers found that nursing staff, pharmacists and geriatricians agreed that prescribing of
medications and counselling of patients was insufficient and the data that was shared with the medical
officer upon discharge was not adequate. Grounded theory focuses on a group, not individuals and is
larger than ethnographic and phenomenological methods.
There are strengths and weaknesses within each qualitative methodology. Qualitative research within
the nursing environment deals with people / patients feelings, beliefs, cultures and past experiences.
The strengths that come from dealing with the above are an increased empathy of nurses towards their
patient s holistic care (Schneider et al 2004). Weakness found within qualitative research according to
Schneider et al (2004) can be linked to poor research questions, inappropriate method used, inaccurate
data collection and analysis.

William Blake Exaggeration
William Blake and William Wordsworth both write about London in their poems. Composed Upon
Westminster bridge and London both portray London differently during the industrial revolution.
Blake writes about the negative aspects of London while Wordsworth on the other hand writes about
the positive aspects of London. Although these poems portray London differently, they do so by the
use of similar methods. The methods they use to portray London are exaggeration, use of the five
senses, and personification.
Both William Blake and William Wordsworth use exaggeration to describe London during the
industrial revolution. In London , William blake uses exaggeration to illustrate the negative aspects of
London during the industrial revolution. On the other hand, Wordsworth uses exaggeration in his
poem to illustrate the positive aspects of London during the industrial revolution to illustrate the
negative aspects of London blake uses exaggeration in lines eleven through twelve in his poem; And
the hapless soldier s sigh runs in blood down palace walls (11 12). In this line William Blake is
exaggerating the soldier s sigh because it didn t really run in blood down the palace walls. In order
illustrate the positive aspects of London during industrial revolution; wordsworth uses exaggeration in
the opening line of his poem. Earth has not anything to show more fair (1). In this line blake uses
exaggeration to illustrate how captivated he is at the sunrise.
This proves my point because through the use of exaggeration William Blake and William
Wordsworth were able to show london in two different perspectives.
Blake uses the five senses to help the reader picture how filthy London is in his poem.
Wordsworth on the other hand, uses the five senses to help the reader picture how beautiful London is
in his poem. In order to help his audience comprehend how filthy london is, william blake uses some
of the five senses. He illustrates this well through the use of hearing. A strong example of this can be
found in line thirteen: But most, through midnight streets I hear (13). Sound really makes a difference
in our lives and he uses that to paint a clearer picture of how he perceives London. William
Wordsworth uses the

world views African Americans. Brent Staples, in Black Men and Public Space, details his experience
being treated unfairly due to his racial status. Gloria Naylor s Mommy, what does Nigger Mean?
discusses the authors first time being called the N word, how she felt, and how she asked her mom
about what it meant. Brent Staples Black Men and Public Space , and Gloria Naylor s Mommy, what
does Nigger Mean? are similar through the authors accounts of being treated poorly because of their
African descent along with ways to cope with that oppression, and contrast through their tone in the
intro and through there experience of being discriminated against and overall effect on the reader.
Both authors explore examples in which they are treated in a racist or discriminatory manner. Brent
Staples encountered a younger woman and came upon her late one evening on a deserted street... she
cast back a worried glance... picked up her pace and was soon running in earnest. (Staples 1) Just the
mere sight of him made the woman scared, after this experience he feels surprised, embarrassed, and
dismayed all at once. Her flight made me feel like an accomplice in tyranny. (2) He realizes that he is
indistinguishable from the muggers... (2), or at least to the woman. Staples experiences, first hand,
discrimination; the woman is fearful of him because of his race, and Staples feels the full effect of
that. Gloria Naylor recounts the first time she was ever called the N word. It was in class and she she
says she couldn t have been more puzzled. She didn t know what a nigger was, but she did know it
was something he shouldn t have called her (Naylor 3). She was thoroughly confused and later asked
her mother what the word meant. Naylor is treated poorly due to the color of her skin. Similarly to

trillion bailing out falling banks and trying to repair the financial system
As per the IMF data all the governments of the world has so far spent more than $ 10.8 trillion to
avoid the ill effects of last years financial crisis. Out of this huge sums are spent by the rich nations.

Out of this the maximum amount is spent as guarantee given to save the existing banking system,
which was effected by last year s crisis. This crisis was worst than the great depression of 1929.
US had spent $ 3.6 trillion to bailing out failing banks and repair the financial system. 25.8% of total
GDP for bailing out ie 25.8% of the total GDP, which is $ 10,000/ per person.
UK had spent $ 2.4 trillion as 94.4% of GDP for bailing out failing banks. ie 94.4% comes around $
50,000/ per person.
The private financial sectors also have estimated write offs amounting to $ 4tn, of which two third are

Remembering September 11, 2001
September 11, 2001 is a date in history that changed the lives of people from all over the world and
especially the lives of Americans. On this day nineteen militant men associated with al Qaeda, an
Islamic extremist group, hijacked four airplanes and carried out multiple suicide attacks on different
locations in the United States. Two of the planes directly struck the World Trade Center located in
New York City, one of the other two planes hit the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and the final plane
crashed in a field in Pennsylvania before it could reach its final destination. On this day, more than
3,000 people were killed including over 400 first responding police officers and firefighters. In recent
years as people look back on that day it is remembered as a time when the country was joined together
by grief and showed an overwhelming amount of comfort and support to the victims and their
families; it was also a time of extreme national pride. People also remember that following the attacks
the economy suffered tremendously, in addition, air traffic which makes up a portion of the economy
was greatly disrupted, both of which created uncertainty about the security of the financial markets
critical to the success of the United States. What most people do not remember is the immediate
backlash and hostility the Muslim and Arab communities received following the attacks by both
civilians and the media. This is a topic that has been largely ignored by the public and media s

Hairless Hypothesis
Why do humans have no fur?
The question of why humans became hairless has been a highly debated topic for centuries. Many
theories and hypothesis have been produced to account for why humans have no fur; some are
supported whilst others have been heavily criticised, none have been generally accepted. Questions
surrounding the subject include why have humans retained head and pubic hair? and why do females
have less hair in comparison to males?
Three leading theories include the body cooling hypothesis, the aquatic ape hypothesis and the
parasitic hypothesis. In this essay, I will present and evaluate some of these theories and attempt a
conclusion as to why humans shed their fur.
Introduction
Humans possess a unique and unusual trait found ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parasites not only cause irritation and discomfort, but also carry viruses and diseases which could
prove to be fatal. Hairlessness would reduce parasitic load therefore reducing the likelihood of
diseases, viruses, infections and discomfort brought on by the parasites. This theory was first put forth
by Belt. However Charles Darwin (1888) rejected this hypothesis because it doesn t explain why only
humans lost their hair as ectoparasites are a problem to all primates.
Human intelligence grew as humans evolved, enabling humans to build fires, make shelters and
produce clothes, which could be washed or changed if infested with parasites. This meant that humans
were able to shed their hair, reducing ectoparasites while avoiding exposure to the sun, cold and other
weather conditions.
The only other example of this theory is the naked mole rat, which is the only other mammal that has
no fur and that doesn t live in an aquatic environment. The naked mole rat lives underground so has no
threat from exposure to sun and UV radiation. There is expected to be a high number of parasites
living in these colonies of naked mole rats however, their climate tends to regulate the negative effect
this would have on them; making hairlessness feasible for this

Issues Dealing With Time Management
Issues in My Workplace
MERCY COLLEGE
Joshua Louis
Abstract
This paper will discuss some of the things that I deal with in my workplace as an Environmental
Service Aide in a hospital one example of this deals with time management issues. The biggest issues
dealing with time management at my job are job quality and completion. This is because staff may try
to complete their tasks too quickly in order to meet time restrictions. It is also important when it
comes to the scheduling and payroll departments because some of the staff can go over in their hours.
For example, the people that are hired part time are getting full time hours to cover staff that may call
out or become sick. This can impede our budget and send us into overtime. There are staff training
issues as well because of time management. This is a very critical issue because people that are new
hires must be trained in their certain roles and if they do not know how to do something correctly they
cannot work efficiently at the hospital.
Another issue I face in my workplace are communications issues. Communication is the livelihood of
an organization and, without it, things will not get done and topics may need to be communicated
from one peer to the next for ensure patient care. Organizations and employees may lack the ability to
learn, use, and exploit information without good communication practices. Most the problems in my
workplace also deal with the lacking of supplies and items

Pros And Cons Of Rotorua Famil
Rotorua Famil My report will consist of my domestic travel experience to Rotorua where two of our
Level 3 classes travelled to Rotorua .This will cover the products and service that our group
encountered throughout our three day famil. This will feature my personal recommendations of the
pros and cons of Rotorua ranging from the activities and attractions that I experience on the famil.
This will cover the five sectors of tourism ranging from transportation, accommodation, activities and
ancillary services.
Transportation
Our famil begin with our bus transport from Wellington where students who were wanting to be
picked up from Wellington were to meet at the rail station before 7 am. Along with this students who
commuted from other suburbs such as Porirua or Levin were also pick up along the way which was a
sign of relief and more convenient for those students as I was one of the many. Dave our bus driver
from Tranzit Coach Lines was our transport provider throughout our three day famil. I would
definitely recommend this transport company as our bus driver always had a friendly attitude but he
also gave us an insight on some of the towns we came across throughout our trip. This definitely made
our trip more memorable as he went the extra mile for me and my fellow students but at the same time

Friendship In Friendship
MYTH AND FRIENDSHIP: LIVING IN THE ALREADY BUT NOT YET
C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien s writings are bursting with stories of friendships that warm our
hearts as readers and offer us an invitation into the narrative. Friendship played an important role in
Lewis and Tolkien s works, and can be seen as an invitation to participate in their stories. I would like
to propose in this paper that friendship in myth is a vision of the already, but not yet age that we live in
and that Lewis and Tolkien s stories can impact how we live out our own friendships.
We live in a time of the already, but not yet, and by this, I mean that we live in a time and space
between Christ s first coming and His second coming. As believer s in Christ, we have the Holy Spirit
and we live under grace, no longer under law. We have been freed from the slavery of sin and are no
longer under its dominion. However, in this age, while we see many promises come through Christ
and the Holy Spirit, we still feel and experience the affects of sin and death still reigns. The days are
evil and we see the evidence of evil pervasively in our lives. Through Christ s first coming, we are
now partakers in the divine nature , we share in Christ s nature, but this is not our experience right
now on earth. While we share the divine nature in our knowledge and understanding to an extent, we
do not share in the divine nature in experience or feeling yet. But we have hope because one day the
already will be in

Photography During Colonial Afric An Indispensable Tool...
Photography in colonial Africa provided vulnerable visual texts that trapped Africans in space and
time1. This art became an indispensable tool that provided justification for instituting colonization in
Africa. During that time period, photography became a mechanism for constraining Africans and their
surroundings to the idea of primitiveness, devoid of any progress towards modernity . Equally
important, colonial photography, if not always, took a distanced approach in capturing Africans. It
shredded away the diversity and the different strata of complexity that was present and depicted
African people in cultural, economic and political homogeneity. Western colonial photography
produced images of deindividuated people 2, images that almost unanimously depicted disempowered
3 people in need of guidance and modernization. By stripping their subjects off their individuality and
trapping Africans under the label authentic or primitive , most western photographers depicted an
African individual as unpossessable, wordles, and distant, and so always subject to contamination 4.
This conclusion served to justify colonial rule. Yet, with photography as a tool, the justification for
colonial rule went beyond encasing Africans by the terms authentic and primitive but went further to
scientifically warrant the need for colonisation. Although a banal point, it is imperative to note the role
anthropological photography had in extending colonial rule. By combining

An investigator can also be liable if the contract is breached. Breach of contract can result if an
investigator promises a client a specific document at a specific time, if that deadline is not reached by
the investigator the contract is breached (Ehrlich Williams, 2013). In the article Criminal Liability of
CPAs in Federal Securities Fraud and Tax Cases the author states that In breach of contract cases, fault
and state of mind are irrelevant. A CPA s engagement letter is a contract. She might have tried in good
faith and made every effort to perform, but damages must be paid upon breach of contact if she has
broken a promise. This broken promise alone results in liability. (Ehrlich Williams, 2013, p. 62) This
means that a CPA can do their job to the best of their abilities, and if the best of their abilities does not
meet the standard of the contract, the contract has been breached. Liability does not have to
intentional, it can be unintentional and unforced, but like it s said if the work is not up to standard then
the contact has been breached. Malpractice Investigators must thoroughly go through each financial
document that they are investigating. Failure to do so will result in charges being brought against the
investigator for malpractice. Malpractice cases usually go before a civil court where the standard is
lower and cases are easier to prove (Ehrlich Williams, 2013). Authors Ehrlich Williams (2013)

The Importance Of Poetry In Literature
Danish Faruqi
Sometimes you come to hate things not because of what they are, but because of what meant to you.
They haven t done anything particularly done anything to you directly. But them being in your
presence doesn t help. I don t hate a lot of things, and in literature, that list is even smaller. Through
my experiences in 12th grade, I realized my new found hatred for confessional poetry and its effects.
Due to my experiences, I don t appreciate or rather take notice to literature that might be very
interesting.
For our Highschool, 12th grade was an interesting year, especially since this was the first year that an
inter school debate talks would take place. Something that was sponsored by the chancellor and the
mayor. Before we even knew about this competition, our class was chosen. When we got to know
about this, the class and the teacher didn t share the same enthusiasm, to say the least. We were
reluctant to participate in anything that put us in front of cameras or other people. But the teacher was
startled and proud that one of her classes was chosen to participate. And thus, the race to compete was
on.
Since the debate talks were on Virginia Woolf s A Room of One s Own, it required us to understand
her style of writing Stream of Consciousness. From there on, our part was to understand a book which
has multiple meanings and multiple perspectives. To make things easier, our teacher chose to use
confessional poetry as a method to uplift only

The Obama administration did a good job of bolstering Jordan against chaos from Iraq and Syria so
far, but stepping back from the region could still stir up some problems with the neighboring countries
of Jordan such as Lebanon, Turkey, Tunisia, and Egypt. Although it being risky for the United States,
it may not always work to be involved in other countries because of cost and resources that would be
used to stabilize the foreign countries rather than reconstructing them. All of these countries want and
need western economic, diplomatic, technical, and military assistance, but in order to make that
happen, the U.S. needs to get rid of the root of the problem, stating that no matter how many terrorists
the United States kills, if these civil wars don t stop, more young men will turn to terrorism (Pollack).
There are urgent requests from the Yemeni government for economic reconstruction, which is in a

If the American people were at risk of a failed economy, surely American allies would come to the

Disney Gender Roles
For many years, Disney has made fairy tale films that are full of lovable characters that children
cannot seem to get enough of. The traits of many of the characters remain great models for children to
watch and learn from. Adults tend to see a bit more than just the good qualities they embody, which
leads to the realization that these films are far from perfect. Upon closer inspection, Disney films
embrace patriarchal and sexist ideologies when it comes to their characters something that Disney has
been nearly successful in eradicating in their most recent films. From the earliest films to the most
recent, the portrayal of gender roles, of both the hero/heroine and the villain, has changed for the
better. The earliest princesses, Snow White, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

is an enemy of the earth villain and concerned only with what wealth he can gain from the land. The
Shadow Man, from The Princess and the Frog, is a magically dangerous villain and a practitioner of
voodoo. He exerts his magical power to manipulate other people to do what he wishes, and his
primary goal consists of becoming ridiculously wealthy. Shan yu, from Mulan, is a criminally
dangerous and arrogant villain with a grandiose sense of self who is intent on conquering the whole of
China. Hans, from Frozen, is probably a criminally dangerous villain, although he lacks mention in
Davis s book. Being the youngest in his family, he feels as though he does not get anything he believes
he deserves, so he manipulates Anna to gain access to her kingdom and wealth. Gaston, from Beauty

wealth, a category that also includes Belle. These male villains all have similar characteristics greed,

According to Richard Brisebois, Greg Boyd, and Ziad Shadid, IT Governance focuses specifically on
information technology systems, their performance and risk management. The primary goals of IT
Governance are to assure that the investments in IT generate business value, and to mitigate the risks
that are associated with IT. This can be done by implementing an organizational structure with well
defined roles for the responsibility of information, business processes, applications, and infrastructure.

of systems across several facilities, computerization of patient records and improve decision support

Essay on The Story of an Hour
The Story of an Hour The story of the hour is, to me, an interesting short story of the insight into the
life thoughts of a woman struggling with a life that is proper and sociably acceptable and her own
desires. Upon reading the opening passage Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart
trouble, great care was taken to break to her as gently as possible the news of her husband s death. (1)
The reader, in this case I, would understand quickly that the main character of the story, Mrs. Mallard,
must be treated with tenderness. We also learn that grave news is coming her way in a most careful
manner. Reading further the actions of the main character would show shock, confusion, surprise, and
other anxiety of a life without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The line in question is She said it over and over under her breath: Free, Free, Free! (11) It was at this
point I realized that the shock was not from grief but from a desire come to fruition, a thought that had
been held in fancy thought now finally true for the main character. I then had to reroute my thoughts
and reread what I had already and reassess my earlier thoughts. That the tears shed may not have been
from love lost, but from dreams fulfilled in thunderous joy. Shock of sudden freedom from what
would have been socially unacceptable of leaving her husband, was now her shield, her grief at the
sudden loss her weapon to face the world a single woman. The new information I had read conflicted
strongly with the preceding directional notion. Transforming what would have been a tragic short
story of a woman who suffered loss and abandoned hope for life, into a story of elation for a woman
suffering shackles on her life. While others around her feared for her suffering misery, behind a locked
door silent rejoice was being had of how to maintain composure as a mourning widow instead of a
joyful widow which was illustrated in this line, Free! Body and soul free! she kept whispering (16) I
paused here once more to think of how possibly the story could turn once more, that the hopes of the
main character would be dashed to thousands of pieces with a truth that the husband was not dead as
was suspected. When I began reading

Best minds in our society are not socialized by religious institutions. The emphasis is on

Into That Night The British poet, Dylan Thomas led a difficult life an example of his poetry is Do not go gentle into that night which discusses love and bravery of his father by examining his reaction to his dying father. First let me introduce you to this brilliant poet. He was born in Oct 27 1914 Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales (Dylan, Thomas). At early age, he was into poem because his father David John Thomas who was a teacher (Kershner, Jr.,). His Dad was a man born with brains and literary talent but somehow he never been able to go beyond being a teacher (Cyr, Marc D). Dylan left school at age of 16 mainly because he was doing poorly at school (Thomas, Dylan). But in some way he found a job at South Wales Daily Post as a reporter (Kershner, Jr.,) (Thomas, Dylan). In 1934 he released his first book, 18 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this poem he talks about a person who s dying to not accept the death rather fight against it (Hochman, Jhan.). Plastic Surgery Operations For The Age There were 236,356 plastic surgery operations for the age group 13 19 in 2012 alone (Penningtons Manches) and surely the rate has increased in the past 4 years. Many people believe that it is up to the child to decide what they do to their bodies but those decisions can negatively affect their overall wellbeing. Understanding that there are certain exceptions, such as it being medically necessary, to this, teenagers under the age of 18 should not be allowed, even with parental consent, to get plastic surgery for cosmetic purposes because it is harmful to their physical and mental health, as well as the economy in and outside hospitals and their futures. As of right now, a teenager under the age of 18 years old can receive plastic surgery treatments, as long as they have parental consent ( Cosmetic Surgery in Teenagers: To Do or Not to Do. ). Common procedures that teenages get, include rhinoplasty, otoplasty, breast augmentation, and acne treatments. • 4. The Most Convincing Justification for Private Property The most convincing justification for private property provided by Ziff is that of economic efficiency. Private property incentivises innovation, lowers the cost of dealing with externalities, and with moderation, reduces the susceptibility of property to the tragedy of the commons. Economic efficiency holds particular weight because of the significant amount of today s societies that rely on a market based system to conduct business, trade and commerce. This system lists private property as one of its founding tenets and therefore heightens the justification s persuasiveness. It is not suggested that a fully privatised property regime would be ideal either, but a mixture of both private property and communal property is seen as the best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To the contrary Ziff argues that the cost of policing would also be more expensive under a private property regime as the creation of boundaries would add costs that would not have otherwise have existed. Conversely Grafton suggests that the cost of boundary erection is merely temporary, as after the initial set up of boundaries, cost of negotiations and policing are comparatively reduced. Communal property rights contrast this; as they hold long term economic costs to the interest owners as negotiation costs will continue to increase exponentially, as policing costs are not one off, and negotiation costs are comparatively higher . It is therefore evident that private property provides the most economically efficient method of dealing with externalities in the short run and the long run, as costs and reaction time are rapidly reduced. Ziff also argues that the over distribution of private property may result in myopic view of externalities, as each land owner would only care for their own property and not about the needs of the wider community affected by externalities created by their land. This short term view, is an inherent downfall of private property, but society has developed means and ways in which these costs can be met, for example through regulatory authorities, and it is therefore argued that a fully privatise property regime would not be preferable but a partly common and partly private alternative, as ... Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22 23) Many have grown up listening to songs that teach the fruit of the spirit. For those who do not know this reference It is the attitude people are supposed to hold themselves to. Most people assume that Joy is the same as happiness, but people do not get the option to be happy. This is one of many reasons that Joy is not correlated to Happiness. You do not need to be happy to be joyful because Joy is a mindset, it is not based on emotions, and is permanent and internal. While, many of us think of Joy as happiness, happiness is a not a mindset. Joy is a choice, and a mindset. Joy is an attitude and has to be wanted. An example of this is mentioned in Choose Joy by Kay Warren, where she states that a person experiences as much joy as they choose to. In the situations people experience in their lives, they can either choose to have joy in those times, and be thankful and rejoice in the position they are put in, or have a mindset that they won t get through the hard, and focus on the negatives in life instead. Joy is a mindset of positivity and optimism. Joseph Campbell also addresses the mindset of Joy We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy. Blake writes about the negative aspects of London while Wordsworth on the other hand writes about the positive aspects of London. There has been and will be lasting social effects including racial slurs and misconceptions based on how the world views African Americans. Brent Staples, in Black Men and Public Space, details his experience being treated unfairly due to his racial status. Hairlessness would reduce parasitic load therefore reducing the likelihood of diseases, viruses, infections and discomfort brought on by the parasites. This theory was first put forth by Belt. Human intelligence grew as humans evolved, enabling humans to build fires, make shelters and produce clothes, which could be washed or changed if infested with parasites. This meant that humans were able to shed their hair, reducing ectoparasites while avoiding exposure to the sun, cold and other weather conditions. The only other example of this theory is the naked mole rat, which is the only other mammal that has no fur and that doesn t live in an aquatic environment. Issues Dealing With Time Management Issues in My Workplace MERCY COLLEGE Joshua Louis Abstract This paper will discuss some of the things that I deal with in my workplace as an Environmental Service Aide in a hospital one example of this deals with time management issues. The biggest issues dealing with time management at my job are job quality and completion. This is because staff may try to complete their tasks too quickly in order to meet time restrictions. It is also important when it comes to the scheduling and payroll departments because some of the staff can go over in their hours. For example, the people that are hired part time are getting full time hours to cover staff that may call out or become sick. This can impede our budget and send us into overtime. There are staff training issues as well because of time management. This is a very critical issue because people that are new hires must be trained in their certain roles and if they do not know how to do something correctly they cannot work efficiently at the hospital. Another issue I face in my workplace are communications issues. Communication is the livelihood of an organization and, without it, things will not get done and topics may need to be communicated from one peer to the next for ensure patient care. Pros And Cons Of Rotorua Famil Rotorua Famil My report will consist of my domestic travel experience to Rotorua where two of our Level 3 classes travelled to Rotorua .This will cover the products and service that our group encountered throughout our three day famil. This will feature my personal recommendations of the pros and cons of Rotorua ranging from the activities and attractions that I experience on the famil. This will cover the five sectors of tourism ranging from transportation, accommodation, activities and ancillary services. Transportation Our famil begin with our bus transport from Wellington where students who were wanting to be picked up from Wellington were to meet at the rail station before 7 am. Along with this students who commuted from other suburbs such as Porirua or Levin were also pick up along the way which was a sign of relief and more convenient for those students as I was one of the many. Dave our bus driver from Tranzit Coach Lines was our transport provider throughout our three day famil. I would definitely recommend this transport company as our bus driver always had a friendly attitude but he also gave us an insight on some of the towns we came across throughout our trip. • 26. Friendship In Friendship MYTH AND FRIENDSHIP: LIVING IN THE ALREADY BUT NOT YET C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien s writings are bursting with stories of friendships that warm our hearts as readers and offer us an invitation into the narrative. Friendship played an important role in Lewis and Tolkien s works, and can be seen as an invitation to participate in their stories. I would like to propose in this paper that friendship in myth is a vision of the already, but not yet age that we live in and that Lewis and Tolkien s stories can impact how we live out our own friendships. We live in a time of the already, but not yet, and by this, I mean that we live in a time and space between Christ s first coming and His second coming. As believer s in Christ, we have the Holy Spirit and we live under grace, no longer under law. We have been freed from the slavery of sin and are no longer under its dominion. However, in this age, while we see many promises come through Christ and the Holy Spirit, we still feel and experience the affects of sin and death still reigns. The days are evil and we see the evidence of evil pervasively in our lives. Through Christ s first coming, we are now partakers in the divine nature , we share in Christ s nature, but this is not our experience right now on earth. While we share the divine nature in our knowledge and understanding to an extent, we do not share in the divine nature in experience or feeling yet. But we have hope because one day the already will be in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Photography During Colonial Afric An Indispensable Tool... Photography in colonial Africa provided vulnerable visual texts that trapped Africans in space and time1. This art became an indispensable tool that provided justification for instituting colonization in Africa. During that time period, photography became a mechanism for constraining Africans and their surroundings to the idea of primitiveness, devoid of any progress towards modernity . Equally important, colonial photography, if not always, took a distanced approach in capturing Africans. It shredded away the diversity and the different strata of complexity that was present and depicted African people in cultural, economic and political homogeneity. Western colonial photography produced images of deindividuated people 2, images that almost unanimously depicted disempowered 3 people in need of guidance and modernization. By stripping their subjects off their individuality and trapping Africans under the label authentic or primitive , most western photographers depicted an African individual as unpossessable, wordles, and distant, and so always subject to contamination 4. This conclusion served to justify colonial rule. Yet, with photography as a tool, the justification for colonial rule went beyond encasing Africans by the terms authentic and primitive but went further to scientifically warrant the need for colonisation. Although a banal point, it is imperative to note the role anthropological photography had in extending colonial rule. By combining ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Forensic Accounting as it relates to fraud Essay Fraud 12 Forensic Accounting as it Relates to Fraud February 20, 2014 Abstract The field of Forensic Accounting has seen a remarkable growth in the last decade. This growth is due in part to the many high profile accounting scandals like Enron, Arthur Anderson, and Bernie Madoff investments (Shinde Poznic, 2010, p. 1). This paper intends to highlight the effect that forensic accountants has on fraud cases, specifically securities fraud. An investigator can also be liable if the contract is breached. Breach of contract can result if an investigator promises a client a specific document at a specific time, if that deadline is not reached by the investigator the contract is breached (Ehrlich Williams, 2013). In the article Criminal Liability of CPAs in Federal Securities Fraud and Tax Cases the author states that In breach of contract cases, fault and state of mind are irrelevant. A CPA s engagement letter is a contract. She might have tried in good faith and made every effort to perform, but damages must be paid upon breach of contact if she has broken a promise. This broken promise alone results in liability. (Ehrlich Williams, 2013, p. 62) This means that a CPA can do their job to the best of their abilities, and if the best of their abilities does not meet the standard of the contract, the contract has been breached. Liability does not have to intentional, it can be unintentional and unforced, but like it s said if the work is not up to standard then the contact has been breached. Malpractice Investigators must thoroughly go through each financial document that they are investigating. Failure to do so will result in charges being brought against the investigator for malpractice. Malpractice cases usually go before a civil court where the standard is lower and cases are easier to prove (Ehrlich Williams, 2013). Authors Ehrlich Williams (2013) ... • 29. The Importance Of Poetry In Literature Danish Faruqi Sometimes you come to hate things not because of what they are, but because of what meant to you. They haven t done anything particularly done anything to you directly. But them being in your presence doesn t help. I don t hate a lot of things, and in literature, that list is even smaller. Through my experiences in 12th grade, I realized my new found hatred for confessional poetry and its effects. Due to my experiences, I don t appreciate or rather take notice to literature that might be very interesting. For our Highschool, 12th grade was an interesting year, especially since this was the first year that an inter school debate talks would take place. Something that was sponsored by the chancellor and the mayor. Before we even knew about this competition, our class was chosen. When we got to know about this, the class and the teacher didn t share the same enthusiasm, to say the least. We were reluctant to participate in anything that put us in front of cameras or other people. But the teacher was startled and proud that one of her classes was chosen to participate. And thus, the race to compete was on. Since the debate talks were on Virginia Woolf s A Room of One s Own, it required us to understand her style of writing Stream of Consciousness. From there on, our part was to understand a book which has multiple meanings and multiple perspectives. To make things easier, our teacher chose to use confessional poetry as a method to uplift only ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All of these countries want and need western economic, diplomatic, technical, and military assistance, but in order to make that happen, the U.S. needs to get rid of the root of the problem, stating that no matter how many terrorists the United States kills, if these civil wars don t stop, more young men will turn to terrorism (Pollack). The traits of many of the characters remain great models for children to watch and learn from. Adults tend to see a bit more than just the good qualities they embody, which leads to the realization that these films are far from perfect. Upon closer inspection, Disney films embrace patriarchal and sexist ideologies when it comes to their characters something that Disney has been nearly successful in eradicating in their most recent films. According to Richard Brisebois, Greg Boyd, and Ziad Shadid, IT Governance focuses specifically on information technology systems, their performance and risk management. The primary goals of IT Governance are to assure that the investments in IT generate business value, and to mitigate the risks that are associated with IT. This can be done by implementing an organizational structure with well defined roles for the responsibility of information, business processes, applications, and infrastructure. Essay on The Story of an Hour The Story of an Hour The story of the hour is, to me, an interesting short story of the insight into the life thoughts of a woman struggling with a life that is proper and sociably acceptable and her own desires. Upon reading the opening passage Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care was taken to break to her as gently as possible the news of her husband s death. (1) The reader, in this case I, would understand quickly that the main character of the story, Mrs. Mallard, must be treated with tenderness. (11) It was at this point I realized that the shock was not from grief but from a desire come to fruition, a thought that had been held in fancy thought now finally true for the main character. I then had to reroute my thoughts and reread what I had already and reassess my earlier thoughts. That the tears shed may not have been from love lost, but from dreams fulfilled in thunderous joy. Shock of sudden freedom from what would have been socially unacceptable of leaving her husband, was now her shield, her grief at the sudden loss her weapon to face the world a single woman. The new information I had read conflicted strongly with the preceding directional notion. Transforming what would have been a tragic short story of a woman who suffered loss and abandoned hope for life, into a story of elation for a woman suffering shackles on her life. While others around her feared for her suffering misery, behind a locked door silent rejoice was being had of how to maintain composure as a mourning widow instead of a joyful widow which was illustrated in this line, Free! Body and soul free! she kept whispering (16) I paused here once more to think of how possibly the story could turn once more, that the hopes of the main character would be dashed to thousands of pieces with a truth that the husband was not dead as was suspected.
