This document provides an overview of self-compacting concrete (SCC), including its materials, properties, tests, mix design, applications, and conclusions. SCC is defined as concrete that can flow and fill formwork without vibration due to its high deformability and passing ability. Key points include that SCC uses superplasticizers and viscosity modifying agents, has good filling and passing abilities, and sees applications in reinforced structures like bridges and tall buildings where concrete placement is difficult. The document concludes that SCC can save time and costs while enhancing quality and durability for construction.
Here, I attach a PowerPoint presentation created by me for a competition held by UltraTech. Have a look at this and feel free to share your views with me.
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is considered as a concrete which can be placed and compacted under its own weight with no vibration.
It is not affected by the skills of workers, the shape and amount of reinforcing bars or the arrangement of a structure.
Due to its high-fluidity and resistance to segregation, it can be pumped longer distances.
It consists of the same components as conventionally vibrated concrete, which is cement, aggregates, and water, with the addition of chemical and mineral admixtures in different proportions.
Usually, the chemical admixtures used are superplasticizers and viscosity-modifying agents.
SCC is especially useful in confined zones where vibrating compaction is difficult.

EXPERIMENTAL BEHAVIOUR OF SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE USING GGBS WITH PARTIAL RE...Ijripublishers Ijri
Concrete is Most widely used construction Material in the Modern Era because of its good Compressive strength and
high durability. As we know Concrete comprises a Mixture of cement, sand (fine aggregate), course aggregate and water
which makes up normal plain concrete, to increase the strength of concrete we can design the mix with greater Flexibility,
but the problems Arises in structure as load age, increaseof floors which demands increase of high strength concrete
and more steel. So, especially at the beams, columns joints heavy reinforcement meshing is done so that it becomes If
the concrete is not compacted then strength may not be achieved, so the solution for the problem is SCC which we call
it asself-compacting concrete. Were this SCC has ability to compact by itself Gravity and self-flow ability same strength
can be Here in the research, it is carried out self-compaction concrete to improve strength & make concrete economical
so, a mix is dispend of M30,M40 Grades with adding chemical admixture named poly carboxylic ether (ADVA960) , a
Retarder Basically Which also increases strength and workability &replacing cement with GGBS (Ground Granulated
Blast Furnace Slag) 40%&50% .The tests are carried out to find the increase in strength by adding chemical admixture &
replacing GGBS 40% & 50%.By the chemical admixture adding up to 2% Max were previous strength shows that adding
of chemical admixture greater than 2% which results to increase the initial setting time and decrease in the w/c ratio.
Test will be conducted for 3,7,28 days find the increase of strength and its other properties
This report examines the properties of wet self- compacting concrete to determine if the properties meet the specification or not, more focus in this test was to determine the workability and flow ability of self-compacting concrete through different tests.
5 Must Know Types of Concrete Testing for Civil EngineersSHAZEBALIKHAN1
The five concrete tests explained in the article are basic and must do. The tests methods, procedures, relevant code are mentioned. Workability test, temperature test, setting time test, compressive strength test, permeability test.
Workability of concrete is defined as the ease and homogeneity with which a freshly mixed concrete or mortar can be mixed, placed, compacted and finished. Strictly, it is the amount of useful internal work necessary to produce 100% compaction.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

3. INTRODUCTION
Self-Compacting Concrete or Self-Consolidating Concrete, SCC, is
defined as a Concrete that is able to flow under its own weight and
completely fill the formwork, even in the presence of dense
reinforcement, without the need of any vibration, whilst maintaining
homogeneity.
Self Compacting Concrete was first developed in Japan in the year
1980.
4. MATERIALS USED FOR SCC
CEMENT : OPC of 43 or 53 grade can be used
AGGREGATES : *Aggregates of size limited to 20mm.
*Congested Reinforcement:10 to 12mm.
*Well graded cubical or rounded aggregates.
*FA can be either natural or manufactured and of
uniform grade
*Particle sizes <0.125mm are considered as fines.
WATER : It must be of the same quality used for that of RC or
Pre stressed concrete.
5. CHEMICAL ADMIXTURE:
*The new generation super plasticizers termed as poly
carboxylate ethers is particularly used.

10. PROCEDURE
A normal slump cone and a flat square plate is taken . Some concentric
circles are drawn on square plate . A firm circle of 500 mm dia is drawn.
The slump cone is filled with about 6litre of concrete and is raised
vertically and allow the concrete to flow free in horizontal direction.
Measure the final dia of concrete in 2 perpendicular directions and note
the average of two diameters.
ACCEPTABILITY :
The higher the flow rate , the grater is the ability to fill
form work.
A value of at least 650 mm is required for scc and
maximum of 850 mm is allowed.
12. PROCEDURE
V-funnel test is used to find filling ability of aggregates of maximum
size of 20 mm.
The equipment consists of a v-shaped funnel.
The door present below the v-funnel is closed and about 12 liter of
concrete is poured inside.
Open the door within 10 seconds and record the time taken for concrete
to flow down.
The whole test is to performed within 5 minutes.
ACCETABILITY :
For v-funnel test the flow time should be b/w
8to12min.
14. PROCEDURE
The equipment consists of a rectangular section and a ring of reinforced bars
with holes.
A slump cone is taken and is filled with 6 liters of concrete.
Raise the cone vertically and allow the concrete to flow through the j-ring.
Measure the final diameter in 2 perpendicular directions and take the average
value.
Also measure the difference in height between the concrete just inside J-ring
bars and just outside J-ring bars.
Calculate the average of difference in height at 4 locations.
ACCEPTABILITY: The acceptable difference in height between inside and
out side should be 0 to 10 mm.
16. PROCEDURE
About 14 liters of concrete is taken and fill the vertical section of L-box.
Lift the gate and allow the concrete to flow out into the horizontal
section.
Start the stop watch and note down the time taken to reach 200 and
400mm marks.
When the concrete stop flowing the heights H1 and H2 are measured.
Calculate blocking ratio H2/H1.
The test is to be performed within 5 min.
ACCEPTABILITY :
If the concrete flows like water then H2/H1=1
The minimum acceptable value is 0.8.
17. TYPICAL MIX
CA <50%
WATER:POWDER
0.8 to 1.0
TOTAL PASTE 400 to 600 kg/m^3
SAND CONTENT >40% of mortar
SAND <50% of paste volume
SAND >50% by weight of total aggregates
WATER <200 liters.
>40% of the volume of the mix
18. SCC MIX DESIGN PRINCIPLES
SCC SHOULD HAVE :
Low coarse aggregate content.
Increased paste content.
Low water powder ratio.
Increased super plasticizer dosage.
Viscosity modifying agents.
25. CONCLUSION
Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) technology can save time, cost,
enhance quality, durability and Moreover it is a green concept.
Since the concrete is capable of self-consolidating and reaching the
difficult areas in moulds, manual variables interms of placing and
compacting concrete is nil. This factor ultimately yields defect less,
better-quality concrete structures.
Cast-in-place concrete construction in tight space and congested
reinforcement, such as, drilled shafts, columns and earth retaining
systems, can be accelerated by using SCC.
