This document provides steps for creating a screencast using Screencast-O-Matic. It outlines downloading the Screencast-O-Matic app for Mac or PC, selecting an area of the screen to record, choosing an audio source like a microphone, adjusting audio levels, starting recording, pausing recording, finishing recording, previewing the recording, and publishing the finished screencast to Screencast-O-Matic, YouTube, or saving as a video file. Additional tips are provided for each step.

Drag and resize the frame to surround the area you would
like to record (have your document or program already open)

If you are using a laptop and no headset select the IN BUILT
microphone

Ensure the audio levels are adjusted correctly by clicking the

Hit Auto Adjust Volume and speak into the microphone
