The document summarizes the screencasting tool Screencast-o-matic. It can be used to create screen recordings with audio narration that teachers can use to demonstrate software, provide feedback, or present lessons. Students can also create screencasts. There is a free basic version with a 15 minute recording limit and a $15/year pro version that removes the recording limit and adds additional features. The tool allows users to easily capture and share what is happening on their screen.
CLAS Self-Registration, Course Subscription, and Upload Quota SystemThomas Dang
Before, CLAS is limited for use by Shibboleth ID Providers (such as users internal to UBC) only. External users such as guest advisors, students, or the general public cannot easily be provisioned access to CLAS.
It is now possible for guest users to create an account in CLAS. Guest users can be in a course along with Shibboleth users, and can even be provisioned as Instructors and TA's.
Shibboleth and Guest users in CLAS, and other future user types, will have more or less equivalent functionality.
Upload quota is defined by role and instance (department).
Quota applies to both uploads and webcam recordings, with a "grace buffer", that is you are allowed to go over quota for ONE last file, so that recordings won't fail in the middle
Quota is recorded by the original uploader of the files, so even if multiple course owners (instructors and TA's) can delete a video that may have been uploaded by another user, the quota is always credited back to the original uploader, ensuring fairness.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2. Why Web 2.0 in the classroom?
“Web 2.0 tools can promote user participation and
knowledge production and thus fit well with social
constructivist pedagogical theories. These tools have the
potential to transform classes from teacher-centric,

participatory approaches, from individual-focused
pedagogies to learning community approaches.”
