Using Audacity to Create an Mp3 file Create an audio recording of pupil discussions, interviews or recitations.  The files can be exported from Audacity as an mp3 file  Instruction videos on how to do, as well as how to edit the recording, are available on the Staff Area of the VTC Falkirk Council   Education Services
Window’s Movie Maker Import Pictures to Window’s Movie Maker – you can use as many or as few as you like Drag them down one at a time to the storyboard section a the bottom of the screen  Now import the mp3 file into Window’s Movie Maker Falkirk Council   Education Services
The ‘Timeline’ mode At the bottom of the screen, switch to ‘Timeline’ mode by selecting it from the drop down menu Now you can drag your mp3 file to the audio section below your pictures If your audio file is much longer than your video section, you can either continue to drag down more pictures to make a ‘repeat’ pattern, or simply click on each of your pictures and stretch them out using the arrow feature Falkirk Council   Education Services
Previewing your Vodcast Make sure you return to the start section of the timeline Go to the preview window on the screen and press the ‘Play’ arrow If you want to add a title, simply select the ‘Title and Credits’ option from the left hand side of the screen Choose ‘Title at the Beginning’ option and write in an appropriate title. Saving your Vodcast to your Computer Go to the ‘Publish to’ choices on the left hand side of the screen and choose the ‘This Computer’ option Give your Vodcast a name and browse to find an appropriate place to save it to. Select ‘next’ and choose the ‘best quality playback’ option Press ‘publish’ and wait patiently for your vodcast to be exported   Falkirk Council   Education Services
