Science Process Skills are skills used to gather information and answer questions. The key skills are observation, classification, inferring, hypothesizing, experimenting, and communicating. Observation involves gathering qualitative and quantitative data using the senses. Classification is grouping objects based on common properties or criteria. Inferring draws conclusions from observations or statements, while hypothesizing forms potential explanations. Experimenting tests ideas, and communicating shares discoveries through writing, speaking, drawings, tables or charts.
