Things Done Well During The Presentation
Things done well
During the presentation there were examples provided from the textbook to allow the trainees to
capture what was being presented and said. This allowed for them to see what was being taught. It was
also helpful that there were examples provided during the presentation to allow for a real life
experiences in the workforce, making everything more relatable to each individual in its own unique
way. There were also instances where trainees were asked questions and to engage them throughout
the process of training. This would allow them to constantly think, especially when there were pop
quizzes throughout. Trainees were also able to ask questions during the entire presentation, allowing
for people to have their answers answered at any point. In order for this to succeed we had to prepare
beforehand so that the questions would be answered as effectively and as clearly as they could.
Having handouts that had the slides with room to write notes on the side allowed the audience to make
notes and to write ideas. We also provide quizzes that were interactive throughout the presentation on
the slides. This allowed us to ask the question, and afterwards there were animations that showed the
audience which answer was the right one. It was a little bit of a learning curve, but it was done clearly
and effectively after some research had been performed. By implanting new ideas into presentations, it
not only allows the presenters to learn something new, but it also

Chuorinkan and Kignae Houses in Tokoyo, Japan Essay
Both the Chuorinkan house and the Koganei house are in the To kyo suburbs and were designed at
about the same time. Though they differ structurally and visually, they represent one approach to the
problems they involve. The starting points of both are deliberate quotations and reorganizations of
architectural compositional elements that can be called representative of the early modern period. I
have used the same kind of design approach in other works. For example quotations from motifs used
by Le Corbusier and Charles Rennie Mackintosh are found in the interior of PMT Building No. 1 (JA,
September, 1978). Project W and PMT Building No. 2 entail reorganizations of elements from Le
Corbusier s La Roche Jeanneret House in Paris. And the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The coverings of the two houses are different, but both follow the basic modern architectural
principles of free interior planning determined on the basis of function and facades independent of the
interior. The discrepancy between planning and facade inevitably arises from the two demands
imposed on houses today. First, from the outside they must symbolize the idea of «house.» Second, on
the inside, they must be places for daily living. These two houses result from a process of evolving
single spaces without annulling the basic contradiction inherent in the two demands.
The presence and absence of ornamentation markedly contrast the two houses. Stereotyped, uniplanar
ornaments distinguish the Chuori n kan house. The double crisscross grilles in doors and windows are
based on the supports of the punched aluminum rain sutters. Stripes in the exterior walls suggest
columns. Inside circular and curved lines are repeated in the round window in the master bedroom and
in the bench back and the round table in the I iving room. These designs are not quotations from any
specific architecture but completely ordinary applications of stereotyped motifs.
Practically the only ornamental touch in the Koganei house is the horizontal strip windows. They are
considered ornament in this case because they have transcended the personal style of Le Corbusier,
who emp loyed them in his early period, and have become universally recognized symbols of the
socalled international style. Elements

The Power of Subjugation in “Things Fall Apart” by Chinua...
Okonkwo in Things Fall Apart utilises direct imperatives to instruct those subordinate to him. This is
seen throughout the text, such as when Okonkwo orders one of his wives to get me a pot and to leave
the child alone . The language used by Okonkwo serves as a tool of subjugation, with the coarse use of
direct imperatives and harsh remarks serves to overpower them to the point of them becoming his
slaves. Hugh as a societal and familial patriarch is presented in light of a failing patriarch, such as the
way in which he represents a static, inward looking, self satisfied way of life, whose response to
modern outside influences is to ignore them. For example, he is in denial about the colonisation that s

Hugh s attitude towards Owen is one which is more positive and kind then that compared to Manus.
Owen is considered handsome and is always dressed smartly a city man . His manner is easy and
charming: everything he does is invested with consideration and enthusiasm . This is a sharp contrast
to Manus, who is introduced as pale faced, lightly built, intense, and works as an unpaid assistant...
His clothes are shabby; and when he moves we see that he is lame . Thus, Hugh is socially prejudiced,
due to social class and political opinion. Any request or interjection by Owen is seen positively by
Hugh, such as when Owen asks his father if he is interrupting and if he can bring them in , Hugh
replies certainly . The change in attitude puts Hugh in a bad light, because if he wants to be a
successful societal patriarch, he needs to assume control over Owen and the English. The introduction
of the English doesn t seem to affect Hugh in anyway, as he remains his usual self, not possessing any
desire to become a dominant figure. He still gets continuously drunk and is so preoccupied with his
own importance, that he shows no interest in major figures such as William Wordsworth. Wordsworth

Is there a parenting class for divorce AZ and why should I take it? Am I required to take parenting

You are required to take the class as a preventive measure to issues related to parenting that often arise
from divorce situations. The number of family related court filings has been increasing throughout the
years. Families have been relying on the courts more and more to provide resolutions for problems
related to divorce: child custody, visitation, parenting time conflicts, child support, paternity,
restraining orders, emergency protective orders, etc. This has led the courts to assume that parental
conflict in relation to divorce is a societal concern. Children suffer potential harm, both short term and
long term, effecting emotional, economic, and educational states during transitional periods during
and post divorce. The mandated parent education classes are the court s response to the societal

Essay On Cuban Embargo
Embargoes are restrictions on trade between countries used to achieve some kind of goal. The United
States has imposed an embargo on Cuba to encourage the Cuban government to change the way they
run themselves because the United States does not agree with the system of government they have in
place. This embargo enacts total restrictions on trade and travel between the United States and Cuba.
The United States embargo against Cuba should be lifted because it is doing more harm than good to
both countries involved.
To start, embargoes in the United States started with Jefferson s Embargo of 1807 ( The Embargo of
1807 ). Embargoes are put in place by countries in hopes to maintain or restore peace between
countries ( Sanctions, Embargoes and Restrictions ). They can be enacted for a number of different
reasons including moral, political, or environmental objections or concerns (Berkheimer). Embargoes
seek to encourage a country to change the regimes or groups that have allowed the behavior from
which the concerns arise. They do this by way of bans on certain things like travel, arms, or ... Show

Both of these problems created by the embargo leave ordinary citizens to suffer, not their government.
Because of the wholesale ban on trade, American food and related supplies cannot be exported to
Cuba. Many of the Cuban citizens are malnourished which leads to medical problems Cubans do not
have the resources to handle. Malnourishment also means pregnant women cannot receive what their
bodies need during pregnancies, leading to a high infant mortality rate for a developed country. Due to
trade restrictions Cuba cannot get any significant number of water treatment chemicals to purify water
for drinking. This has led to a decrease in the amount of safe drinking water that is available to Cuban
citizens ( Denial of

Making My Fashion Dreams Become A Reality
Growing up surrounded by historical landmarks, creative arts, and Southern charm, I have always
been an admirer of fashion and beauty. When I was a young child of five years, I would continually
play dress up and dream of becoming a Fashionista that assists movie stars and social elite for their
red carpet appearances. I wanted to contribute to others in seeing the beauty in themselves and the
world around them. After about eighteen years, nothing has really changed within my mind set. Today,
I still dream of working in the fashion industry, but more importantly, making a difference in the
world. In the process of making my fashion dreams become a reality, at seventeen, I secured
enrollment at Northeast Mississippi Community College majoring in fashion merchandising. My first
two years at junior college were wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the arts, being
the Captain of the Tiger Dancers and Pom Squad, playing as a member of the tennis team, and
supporting Prentiss county as Miss Hospitality 2013. These years taught me time management like no
other while also leading me down the path of self expression and competitiveness. Finding immense
knowledge and encouragement from professors in little classrooms and civilians in a small Mississippi
town perfected my willingness to strive to do my utmost best in every circumstance, whether it be
reaching my goals or helping others. Attending Northeast Mississippi Community College opened for

The Dawes General Allotment Act Essay
The Dawes General Allotment Act was made to create the great symbol of the United States just hours
after the Declaration of Independence was written. Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas
Jefferson began preparing to a one of a kind, national seal. The seal went through three stages of
designs in early 1782 before the fourth was chosen in 1782. A second and third committee made
designs for the seal along with Charles Thompson. The first three designs played a part in the fourth
design that combined the three. Charles Thompson created the fourth design and it was approved by
congress on June 20, 1782. The Seal represents sovereignty for America. The seal s design is used as
our national coats of arms and is used to decorate on our military uniforms. I believe that the United
States won, even though this wasn t a battle. In the end the United States gained a symbol of the
country s sovereignty.

History of Cosmetology Essay
History of Cosmetology Nail Care

hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics, manicures/pedicures, and electrology.
Nail Technology is the art and science of beautifying and improving the nails and skin of the hands
and feet.
The history of nail care reveals some intriguing facts. It was a part of aristocracy and a symbol of
status in ancient times. It was in the nineteenth century that nail care started to become a part of
fashion and glamour. Today nail salons all over the world offer various nail care services and plenty of
nail care products are available for use in home but it still in some way reflects that symbolism of

History of Nail Care in the Nineteenth Century
With the social and technological developments, new tools for nail care began to emerge in Europe. In
1830 a foot doctor named Sitts invented a wooden manicure tool. Before that metal rod, acid, scissors
etc. were used for manicure. Almond shaped nails or slightly pointed nail styles were popular at that
time.
In 1890 s these trends reached United States. Soon many salons started to offer nail care services to
women. But mostly nail care was a personal thing; women usually took care of their nails by
themselves.
History of nail Care in the Twentieth Century
In the beginning of Twentieth century nail care and nail polish become hugely popular by courtesy of
glamorous Hollywood film stars. New companies were coming in the market with new nail care tools
and techniques. New nail paints and shades arrived together with polish removers, nail protectors and
other tools that made it possible to choose any style at any time and complement the overall dress up
with a matching nail color. At that time manicure was done in barber shops not in beauty salons.
1970 s was the era of artificial nails. These nails looked real, were usually long and worn by the rich.
Soon nail drills were introduced to use on acrylic nails. Nail charms, gold nails as well as nail art were
getting popular. Then French manicure arrived in the market and it was ruled the

The proprietorship is the simplest legal form of organization LFO one that has no separate legal

Examples Of Id Ego And Superego In Lord Of The Flies
Sigmund Freud created the structural model of personality that describes the id, ego, and superego
parts of a person. Id is represented as the devil and based on the pleasure and benefiting themselves.
Ego is the angel and devil together, where there is balance of good and bad. Lastly, superego is shown
as the angel with good behavior and morals. In Golding s book Lord of the Flies, he uses Jack, Ralph,
and Piggy to represent Sigmund Freud s theory of the three personalities: id, ego, and superego.
Throughout the book, it can be noticed that Jack has the id personality. He wants to kill the pigs not
for the benefit of the group, but for himself. He can also be seen as the devil because of how he acts.
When Ralph and Jack were talking to each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the group were discussing about the fire, Piggy says, Cos the smoke s a signal and we can t be
rescued if we don t have smoke (173). Piggy is working to help out the boys by trying to inform them
about their situation, and how they can fix it together. Piggy is the voice of reason out of all the boys
by telling them how things will affect them as a group, and that is just like how the superego tells the
ego on how the action will influence society. Piggy always wants what is best for the group, and wants
them all to get off the island safely. When the group decided to move the fire from the mountain,
Golding describes, Piggy was so full of delight and expanding liberty in Jack s departure, so full of
pride in his contribution to the good of society, that he helped to fetch wood (129). Piggy wants to
guide the boys on the right path of survival, and enjoys when he is able to help. His involvement in
book by helping Ralph and the other boys is based on the focus of the superego to help the needs of
society.
Golding s Lord of the Flies takes the structural model of personality and uses it to represent Jack,
Ralph, and Piggy in the novel. He uses them to show how they interact with each other in society. He
wants the readers to understand that the id makes decisions and actions that feels good for themselves,
and not for others. The superego wants to help out society, and follow good morals, but often gets
overpowered and ignored by the id. Lasty, the ego is a balance of the two, and listens to both the
superego and the

The existence of God Based on Religious Experience Essay
1. Examine the strengths and weaknesses of the argument for the existence of God based on religious
experience. (18) 2. The argument merely indicates the probability of God and this is of little value to a
religious believer. Discuss. (12)
In contrast to the classical arguments for the existence of God, namely the ontological, cosmological
and teleological arguments, the argument from religious experience doesn t just entail a set logical of
points arriving at a conclusion on a piece of paper, rather it also necessitates sense based experience,
tangible to the individual who experiences the divine.
First and foremost, we must classify the argument from religious experience.
In general, philosophical arguments usually take one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
James lists four qualifiers of mystical experiences: ineffability (a state that defies description), noetic
quality (revelations of universal and eternal truths), transiency (a brief but profoundly important
experience) and passivity (a feeling of being taken over by a superior authority).
The father of liberal theology, Schleiermacher, made passivity the most important qualifier. He took
the concept a step further and proposed that the essence of religion is the feeling of absolute
dependence and this approach was supported by scholars such as Rudolf Otto, who defined religious
experience as wholly other .
For Schleiermacher, in particular, and, additionally, the Islamic mystic Al Ghazali, true religion was
completely experiential and it should therefore be felt rather than thought. He believed that logic
destroys religious experience because religious experience is a matter of intuitive knowledge, not
processed knowledge. Intuition is belief, where as logic creates doubts. In many spiritual systems
(religious or independent of religion) the human instinct is held in high regard. It was for this reason
that Iqbal, the late Islamic philosopher of the modern era, disagreed with Al Ghazali.
Religious experience is a very important concept for those who believe that way to know God is to
experience Him. There is a spiritual, mystical dimension to all the world religions in fact, the Eastern
religions rely

Foundationalism In William Shakespear s Much Ado About...
The word Foundationalism was given a clear definition by Descartes, meaning someone looking for a
clear and certain foundation. There is a way to accomplish this task, meaning order to find or build a
foundation or a base that is certain, one must first destroy everything one believes to know start from
the very beginning. The goal is to find things that are absolute indubitable , meaning it is 100 percent
certain or it can not under any circumstances be doubted (Descartes 13). The play Much ado about
nothing written by William Shakespear would not be the first thing that comes to mind when
considering anything being indubitable. It is entails clear social and gender issues of its time. With this
essay, I wish to point out how the men boast themselves in so much honor and masculinity, that they
are easily blinded by a simple lie. So simple in fact, that it took an entire plot built on Hero s death to
reveal the truth. If a woman s mind, body and soul were more valuable, there would have been no
need to lie and deceive once more to prove Hero s innocence. This is important, because women are
still judged more harshly for being involved with a man before marriage, or having multiple partners.
While men can marry after being known to be very far from celibacy themselves, but wish to have a
virgin or a woman with fewer and closer to zero sexual partners. This misogynistic double standard
was carried into the movie by Kenneth Branagh. In this case, first I would like to look

Voip Security
Abstract
Over the past decade, the Department of Defense (DoD) has transitioned from its older public
switched telephone network (PSTN) network to an almost total Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
network. They are being adopted by DoD because they offer higher flexibility, more features, and
lower costs than the traditional PSTN infrastructure. However, VoIP systems also represent a higher
complexity in terms of architecture, protocols, and implementation, with a corresponding increase in
the potential for misuse. This case study examines the current state of affairs on DoD VoIP security
through research of known/disclosed/potential eavesdropping and interception threats to DoD systems.

The narcissist is characterised by status all the right labels, the best grooming, and the perfect wife
(Fourie 2008:313). Many men in media are portrayed in this light, such as Don Draper from Mad Men
who only wore the most expensive suits both as a status symbol, and as a means of intimidating and
impressing those in his field. The narcissist is also used often in adverts, such as George Clooney
posing for Nespresso these ads appeal to the narcissist who will view a Nespresso machine not only as
a status symbol, but to make themselves appear more attractive through the acquisition of the
machine.

Yellow Fever Disease
Yellow fever is a disease caused by a virus transmitted by mosquitoes. It is a disease that is mostly
found in tropical areas like South America and Africa (Cutter 2016). While scientific inquiry was
certainly one of the main reasons that yellow fever became one of the first viruses that we were able to
eradicate, it was not the only driving force. A biosocial approach to dissecting global health issues not
only takes into account all the biological aspects that come into play, but also how society, history,
culture and the political economy impact these global diseases (Farmer et al. 2013). This approach
allows for a multidimensional analysis that gives more insight than any biological or clinical study
ever could. By looking at yellow fever from a biosocial approach you can see how the Panama Canal
played a major role in the discovery of it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to reap the economic and international trade benefits brought about by the Canal there first
had to be an interaction and exchange of ideas and technology between people and governments of
different nations all working as one by breaking down the national, economic, social and cultural
boundaries that were in the way (Levin Institute 2015). The economic benefits that convince the US to
tackle yellow fever ultimately ended up advancing global health as well. The Panama Canal project
brought to life the first international health organization, the Pan American Health Organization,
which is still very important today. The PAHO has been able to standardize disease definitions and
serves as a model for transnational health promotion and information sharing (Farmer et al. 2013).
After the establishment of the PAHO with the help of new political policies from around the world,
new international health organizations were formed in order to address global health issues in different

Intimate Partner Violence Problem Statement
Problem Statement
Around the world, one in every three women has been coerced into having intercourse, beaten, or
abused during some point in her lifetime (Domestic Violence Statistics, 2015). The topic that will be
studied with the paper is intimate partner violence or another term that can be used is domestic
violence. Domestic violence or intimate partner violence is the systematic pattern or control or power
perpetuated by one partner against another (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, n.d.).
Throughout the paper the term domestic violence and intimate violence will be used interchangeably.
The misconception is that domestic violence or intimate partner violence is only between two people
in a romantic relationship, but this is not so. Domestic violence includes, but is not limited to child
abuse, elder and vulnerable adult abuse, spousal or partner abuse, and sibling violence (Can Fam
Physician, 1999). This behavior can include but is not limited to sexual assault, intimidation, and
physical assault (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, n.d.). Reports from 10 countries have
shown that somewhere between 55 and 95 percent of women who experience physical abuse by a
partner had never contacted the police, shelters, or other organizations for help (Domestic Violence
Statistics, 2015).
Intimate partner violence or also known as domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women
including thefts, rapes, and car accidents combined (Domestic Violence

Models Of Health And The Biopsychosocial Model Of Health
Models of Health The World Heath Organization defines health as being a state of wholeness in a
person s mental, physical, and social well being (Gurung, 2014). Different models of health are used
worldwide to assist in achieving this state. Two widely used models of health in the United States
include the biomedical model of health and the biopsychosocial model of health. They both strive to
help individuals and communities achieve wholeness, while approaching this in different manners.
Each model of health has strengths, drawbacks, and practical uses in the field of medicine. The
biomedical model of health takes into account the physical or biological quality of life and is widely
used in the Western medicine approach to health (Gurung, 2104). A basic assumption of this model is
that the mind and body connection is irrelevant. Many advances in medicine have occured because of
the biomedical model of health. In using evidence based medicine it has been possible to evaluate the
results of clinical and pharmaceutical research in order to make strides in medicine (Ashton, 1999). It
takes advantage of algorithmic treatment options. Even though this approach may be more difficult for
a psychiatrist to utilize when diagnosing and treating a patient, this model has radically shaped
psychotherapy research and psychiatric medication (Deacon, 2013). The biomedical approach lends
itself more readily to research because of its quantitative nature and it is less subjective than the
biopsychosocial approach when measuring emotions and culture. The biopsychosocial model of health
is a multidimensional approach to health (Lecture 1, 2014). It focuses not only on the biology or
physiology of a person, but also includes the psychology of a person and the manner in which society
and culture influence health as well (Gurung, 2014). It was developed in the 21st century as an
important theoretical framework to approaching health and medicine (Richtig, Trapp, Kapfhamer,
Jenull, Richtig Trapp, 2016).This approach makes the assumption that the mind and body connection
is not only relevant but also vital to a person s entire well being. It takes a holistic approach when
treating an individual and can improve health in the

Supreme Court Case Terry v. Ohio
In the case Terry v. Ohio, the defendant John Terry argued that his Fourth Amendment right was
violated when a police officer conducted a search on him, and found a concealed weapon. According
to the officer, he had been monitoring Terry s actions prior to the stop in fear of his safety, thus, had
enough reasonable suspicion to stop and search the defendant. The Supreme Court decided to rule in
favor of the state determining that the officer may stop and frisk any suspicious person when he feels
that his safety or those of others are in danger. A Terry Stop is when the police are allowed to stop,
question and frisk someone they believe is behaving suspiciously (Larson, 2000). I am going to argue
how police officers benefit from the Terry Stops even though on many occasions they take advantage
of their power and act unethical. Essentially, it is acceptable for police officers to stop and frisk any
suspicious person because it enhances the community. Furthermore, from the law enforcement
perspective, any officer of the law should have a mandatory right to stop and search for weapons in
order to protect themselves at all times. It is obvious that society feels that they cannot trust law
enforcement because minorities are more likely to be stopped and frisk. Needless to say, it can be
argued that we are one step closer to chaos. I would consider that the Supreme Court clarify and
specify a little more on the stop and frisk law because ambiguity. In my opinion, anytime an

The Impact Of Iso 14001 On Asian Firms
THE IMPACT OF ISO 14001 ON ASIAN FIRMS
1, Challenging World of Business in Asia
Firms in developed countries have been faced with increasing amounts of pressure to manage and
evaluate the impact of their activities on environment as the impacts went well beyond local and
regional levels since around the 1970s. Following the developed countries, the same concern has
become increasingly obvious in Asia as most of Asian industries have been developed through the
export driven style economy and this has made them to do their economic activities in conformity
with international standards. In order to reach better profitability and international competitiveness,
firms in Asia have been facing the challenges of operating their business without damaging the
environment and their corporate finances.
The Asian continent enjoys a very rich mixture of complex cultures and this complexity is reflected in
their economic, political, legal and business systems. Most Southeast Asian countries developed
through primarily agricultural economies where industrial production has a limited influence until
about 30 years ago (Oosterveer, Kamolsiripichaiporn and Rasiah 2006, p. 217). As industrial
production increased rapidly over the last decades, the number of NIEs, newly industrialised
economies, in the region has expanded to include countries such as Malaysia, Thai and Indonesia. This
means that these countries have joined the more developed fist members of NIEs, Hong Kong,

Good Vs. Evil In Beowulf Essay
The epic poem Beowulf, translated by Seamus Heaney, depicts three distinctively different fights that
symbolize good vs. evil.
Beowulf s first fight was with the giant Grendel. The fight with Grendel symbolizes courage.
According to Beowulf He has no ideas of the arts of war,/ Of shield or sword play, though he does
possess/ A wild strength. No weapons, therefore,/ For either this night: unarmed he shall face me
(Heaney 681 684). Grendel is not a warrior and does not use any weapon so Beowulf also uses no
weapons and armor in his fight with Grendel. Beowulf has superhuman strength which allows him to
face Grendel in an armlock. The text states Comeback and armlock forestalled him utterly./ The

(Heaney 1296 1299). In order to avenge her son s death, she attacks the Heorot and kills Aeschere. In
the attack Grendel s mother also manages to take back her son s arm in order to lament for his death.
Beowulf states She had snatched their trophy,/ Grendel s bloodied hand. It was a fresh blow/ To the
afflicted bawn. The bargain was hard,/ Both parties having to pay (Heaney 1302 1305). After the
attack Beowulf hunts down Grendel s mother to avenge the death of Aeschere. Beowulf says to

Zynga s Mission At A Young Age
Zynga s mission is to connect the world through games. Connecting with friends and making new
friends through our games or services involves sharing information, (Zynga Team).
Although Zynga has a well planned mission, the problem is that there are not many people who know
how to create these video games. Zynga can create a non profit branch within their organization; this
is where it would be beneficial if Zynga partners with MassChallenge. Since there is a high demand
for students to learn computer science, students should start learning at a young age. Zynga could
create a nonprofit that partners with middle schools and high schools. Although there is already a core
curriculum for students to learn, Zynga can create an after school computer science program for
students to take if they are interested in it. This will be beneficial in the long run because there will be
many students learning how to code. Students who are accepted into the Zynga program since middle
can learn to code until they reach high school. After students make it to high school and choose to
continue learning computer science, Zynga can offer these students the opportunity to work in the
Zynga office as interns. This way students can see the benefits of working for Zynga in the long run.
Masschallenge can help Zynga create this by helping Zynga implement this program within many
potential schools. Americans believe computer science should be taught between kindergarten and the
12th grade.

The Issues Of Urban Poverty
American life was transformed in the 1960s from the start of the decade. The 1960s consisted of new
rights and new understandings of freedom. The sixties consisted of rights for racial minorities to be
involved in the mainstream of the American lifestyle. However, unsolved issues of urban poverty still
existed. Women in the 1960s established a conversion in women s status, for instance, women entered

anybody in their right mind would want with a computer. However, over the course of the past two
decades computer technology has evolved so greatly that it is now rare not to find at least one
computer in person s house. Even with some of today s fastest computers, humans are never satisfied,
and everybody is looking for the next big thing. Recently, as the sale of cell phones has been outdoing
the sale of computers,(1) the question on everybody s minds is, Are cell phones going to replace
computers? There are many similarities and differences between computers and cell phones. Although
to the untrained eye they may seem like they are in two completely ... Show more content on

If you are a regular computer user, then most likely your answer to the above question would be a
definite yes. As a matter of fact, most computer users have to encounter such a situation once in a
while, if not once in a lifetime. System files will sometimes get corrupt if the computer is attacked by
a virus. However the files can be recovered. Corrupt system files can make your desktop or laptop run
much slower than the normal speed. Recovering a system file from your Windows CD is not really
difficult, but it must be done carefully. Let s learn how to recover a corrupted computer system file.
Once you know which file has got corrupted you will need to replace it with a clean copy from your
Windows CD. Rename the corrupt system file s last character to an underscore in order the change the
file format, for instance notepad.ex_ In order to expand the new file you will need to get to the
windows command prompt, which you can reached by clicking on the start button, choosing run and
typing in cmd,. Once at the command prompt enter the following: Expand

notepad.exe you would type Expand D:/setup/SETUP/notepad.exe. If you were unable to find the file,
you will need to search for it within the .CAB files on the CD. Once you have located the corrupt
system file within the CAB files the command EXTRACT /L followed by the

Individuality In The Virgin Suicides And Lolita
The hyperbolic lack of individuality in The Virgin Suicides changes both the image of the boys and
the girls. The narration is through the perspective of the boys as one entity, an indistinguishable
chorus, rather than from separable perspectives. The chorus of boys views the girls as one entity
separating but ultimately coming back together (130). They can only see the similarity of the girls:
their similar hair, morals, upbringing, clothes, disposition, stature, age. This exemplifies that the girls
themselves did not draw the boys in, but only the beauty of their sadness and the grandeur of their
mass suicide. The girls had an inclination to maintain family togetherness and saw themselves as a
both a human pact and each other s greatest confidants (216). The girls need to be close to one another
foreshadowed the night of the four murders, when neither sister would leave without any other given
sister. Closeness overpowers the predisposition to protect loved ones. Obsession is also present in the
repetition of hypotheticals regarding what could have been between the boys and the Lisbon sisters.
They frequently watch the Lisbon home just wondering ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On one side, the Lisbon sisters lose their grip on what innocence truly means, allowing themselves to
get caught in the fast moving pace of their youth. Without any outlet for their self expression, they
take their own lives out of pain and grief. The religious references and lively imagery paradoxically
describe the lack of morality and the ultimate loss of life. Lo is no longer Dolores on the dotted line,
but Lolita through and through (11). Humbert ripped her childlike innocence from her delicate
fingertips, creating a wandering soul without roots. Her nymphet exterior fades, along with her virtue.
The sexual symbolism and moral questions transform Lo s energetic youth into erotic

Biochemical Mechanisms of ACE Inhibitors
The renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS) is a group of hormones that are produced
sequentially in order to regulate salt water homeostasis as well as blood pressure.5 The first enzyme,
renin, is produced by the juxtaglomerular cells of the kidney when blood volume is low and is
released into the bloodstream.3,5,6 Renin then catalyzes the conversion of angiotensinogen to
angiotensin I.3,5,6 Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), which is produced in the lungs,
subsequently converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a more active enzyme.3,5,6 Angiotensin II has
several functions. The hormone s primary mechanism for increasing blood pressure is through the
stimulation of blood vessel constriction. Furthermore, angiotensin II increases the contractility of the
heart via sympathetic activation. It also stimulates anti diuretic hormone (ADH) release, which
increases water reabsorption at the collecting ducts, resulting

  • 3. Things Done Well During The Presentation Things done well During the presentation there were examples provided from the textbook to allow the trainees to capture what was being presented and said. This allowed for them to see what was being taught. It was also helpful that there were examples provided during the presentation to allow for a real life experiences in the workforce, making everything more relatable to each individual in its own unique way. There were also instances where trainees were asked questions and to engage them throughout the process of training. This would allow them to constantly think, especially when there were pop quizzes throughout. Trainees were also able to ask questions during the entire presentation, allowing for people to have their answers answered at any point. In order for this to succeed we had to prepare beforehand so that the questions would be answered as effectively and as clearly as they could. Having handouts that had the slides with room to write notes on the side allowed the audience to make notes and to write ideas. We also provide quizzes that were interactive throughout the presentation on the slides. This allowed us to ask the question, and afterwards there were animations that showed the audience which answer was the right one. It was a little bit of a learning curve, but it was done clearly and effectively after some research had been performed. By implanting new ideas into presentations, it not only allows the presenters to learn something new, but it also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Chuorinkan and Kignae Houses in Tokoyo, Japan Essay Both the Chuorinkan house and the Koganei house are in the To kyo suburbs and were designed at about the same time. Though they differ structurally and visually, they represent one approach to the problems they involve. The starting points of both are deliberate quotations and reorganizations of architectural compositional elements that can be called representative of the early modern period. I have used the same kind of design approach in other works. For example quotations from motifs used by Le Corbusier and Charles Rennie Mackintosh are found in the interior of PMT Building No. 1 (JA, September, 1978). Project W and PMT Building No. 2 entail reorganizations of elements from Le Corbusier s La Roche Jeanneret House in Paris. And the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The coverings of the two houses are different, but both follow the basic modern architectural principles of free interior planning determined on the basis of function and facades independent of the interior. The discrepancy between planning and facade inevitably arises from the two demands imposed on houses today. First, from the outside they must symbolize the idea of «house.» Second, on the inside, they must be places for daily living. These two houses result from a process of evolving single spaces without annulling the basic contradiction inherent in the two demands. The presence and absence of ornamentation markedly contrast the two houses. Stereotyped, uniplanar ornaments distinguish the Chuori n kan house. The double crisscross grilles in doors and windows are based on the supports of the punched aluminum rain sutters. Stripes in the exterior walls suggest columns. Inside circular and curved lines are repeated in the round window in the master bedroom and in the bench back and the round table in the I iving room. These designs are not quotations from any specific architecture but completely ordinary applications of stereotyped motifs. Practically the only ornamental touch in the Koganei house is the horizontal strip windows. They are considered ornament in this case because they have transcended the personal style of Le Corbusier, who emp loyed them in his early period, and have become universally recognized symbols of the socalled international style. The father of liberal theology, Schleiermacher, made passivity the most important qualifier. He took the concept a step further and proposed that the essence of religion is the feeling of absolute dependence and this approach was supported by scholars such as Rudolf Otto, who defined religious experience as wholly other . For Schleiermacher, in particular, and, additionally, the Islamic mystic Al Ghazali, true religion was completely experiential and it should therefore be felt rather than thought. Intimate Partner Violence Problem Statement Problem Statement Around the world, one in every three women has been coerced into having intercourse, beaten, or abused during some point in her lifetime (Domestic Violence Statistics, 2015). The topic that will be studied with the paper is intimate partner violence or another term that can be used is domestic violence. Domestic violence or intimate partner violence is the systematic pattern or control or power perpetuated by one partner against another (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, n.d.). Throughout the paper the term domestic violence and intimate violence will be used interchangeably. The misconception is that domestic violence or intimate partner violence is only between two people in a romantic relationship, but this is not so. Domestic violence includes, but is not limited to child abuse, elder and vulnerable adult abuse, spousal or partner abuse, and sibling violence (Can Fam Physician, 1999). • 23. Models Of Health And The Biopsychosocial Model Of Health Models of Health The World Heath Organization defines health as being a state of wholeness in a person s mental, physical, and social well being (Gurung, 2014). Different models of health are used worldwide to assist in achieving this state. Two widely used models of health in the United States include the biomedical model of health and the biopsychosocial model of health. They both strive to help individuals and communities achieve wholeness, while approaching this in different manners. Each model of health has strengths, drawbacks, and practical uses in the field of medicine. The biomedical model of health takes into account the physical or biological quality of life and is widely used in the Western medicine approach to health (Gurung, 2104). A basic assumption of this model is that the mind and body connection is irrelevant. Many advances in medicine have occured because of the biomedical model of health. In using evidence based medicine it has been possible to evaluate the results of clinical and pharmaceutical research in order to make strides in medicine (Ashton, 1999). It takes advantage of algorithmic treatment options. Even though this approach may be more difficult for a psychiatrist to utilize when diagnosing and treating a patient, this model has radically shaped psychotherapy research and psychiatric medication (Deacon, 2013). The biomedical approach lends itself more readily to research because of its quantitative nature and it is less subjective than the biopsychosocial approach when measuring emotions and culture. The biopsychosocial model of health is a multidimensional approach to health (Lecture 1, 2014). It focuses not only on the biology or physiology of a person, but also includes the psychology of a person and the manner in which society and culture influence health as well (Gurung, 2014). It was developed in the 21st century as an important theoretical framework to approaching health and medicine (Richtig, Trapp, Kapfhamer, Jenull, Richtig Trapp, 2016).This approach makes the assumption that the mind and body connection is not only relevant but also vital to a person s entire well being. It takes a holistic approach when treating an individual and can improve health in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Supreme Court Case Terry v. Ohio In the case Terry v. Ohio, the defendant John Terry argued that his Fourth Amendment right was violated when a police officer conducted a search on him, and found a concealed weapon. According to the officer, he had been monitoring Terry s actions prior to the stop in fear of his safety, thus, had enough reasonable suspicion to stop and search the defendant. The Supreme Court decided to rule in favor of the state determining that the officer may stop and frisk any suspicious person when he feels that his safety or those of others are in danger. A Terry Stop is when the police are allowed to stop, question and frisk someone they believe is behaving suspiciously (Larson, 2000). I am going to argue how police officers benefit from the Terry Stops even though on many occasions they take advantage of their power and act unethical. Essentially, it is acceptable for police officers to stop and frisk any suspicious person because it enhances the community. Furthermore, from the law enforcement perspective, any officer of the law should have a mandatory right to stop and search for weapons in order to protect themselves at all times. It is obvious that society feels that they cannot trust law enforcement because minorities are more likely to be stopped and frisk. Needless to say, it can be argued that we are one step closer to chaos. I would consider that the Supreme Court clarify and specify a little more on the stop and frisk law because ambiguity. Following the developed countries, the same concern has become increasingly obvious in Asia as most of Asian industries have been developed through the export driven style economy and this has made them to do their economic activities in conformity with international standards. In order to reach better profitability and international competitiveness, firms in Asia have been facing the challenges of operating their business without damaging the environment and their corporate finances. They can only see the similarity of the girls: their similar hair, morals, upbringing, clothes, disposition, stature, age. This exemplifies that the girls themselves did not draw the boys in, but only the beauty of their sadness and the grandeur of their mass suicide. She is allergic to the commonly prescribed antibiotic penicillin. Biochemical Mechanisms of ACE Inhibitors The renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS) is a group of hormones that are produced sequentially in order to regulate salt water homeostasis as well as blood pressure.5 The first enzyme, renin, is produced by the juxtaglomerular cells of the kidney when blood volume is low and is released into the bloodstream.3,5,6 Renin then catalyzes the conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I.3,5,6 Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), which is produced in the lungs, subsequently converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a more active enzyme.3,5,6 Angiotensin II has several functions. The hormone s primary mechanism for increasing blood pressure is through the stimulation of blood vessel constriction. Furthermore, angiotensin II increases the contractility of the heart via sympathetic activation. It also stimulates anti diuretic hormone (ADH) release, which increases water reabsorption at the collecting ducts, resulting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
