Informative Speech About Transgender
Save it for me, Jesus! Don t let me die, Lord. Don t let me die! The old woman prompted up on
her elbows and scooted as fast as she could towards the table, but the transgender rushed past her.
Oh, help me, Jesus. Whooo, help me, Lord! Out of breath, the old woman rolled onto her back
and huffed and puffed while looking at the ceiling. The fight continued on without her. Have
mercy, Jesus. Knowing she needed the syringe to walk out of that room alive, she tried to get
back into the fierce fight, reciting scriptures to build her strength. Help me get up, Lord. I m
more than a conqueror. God, you have given me the authority to tread on these serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt me... All things are pos
Someone kicked her in the mouth and brought her words to a stinging shut up. She tumbled over
on her back where she stayed and gave up the physical fight, but she kept belting out scriptures
one after the other. The transgender moved as fast as he could, but others were ahead of him.
He stood and took a deep dive over the others, landing next to the businessman and rushed past
him to get under the table. The businessman reached for his shirt, but grabbed his hair and
pulled, his wig came off. He freaked out, threw the wig to the side and grabbed hold of the
transgender s shirt. He turned on his back and started kicking his oppressor. The others
continued fighting, they could see the syringe, some could even feel it with the tips of their
fingers. They reached for it, but arms were snatched, pulled, held, bent and slapped away. The
syringe was quickly swooped up, but a present danger awaited the college student who made it to
it first. She rolled over and looked back to see everyone s eyes staring at her and instantly felt the
intimidation of being the first one to make it to the syringe. In jeopardy, the rush to get from
under the table was paramount. But even making it to her feet did not stop the pursuit of the
others. In fact, it made it easier for them to attack her. In a panic, she knew she had to hold them
off. Hold on, hold on. Wait, wait, wait! This is not the way to do this. Everyone was out of breath;
they struggled to get up. The old woman

Analysis Of Dany Chan s Article Adding Flowers On Brocade
In Dany Chan s article, Adding Flowers on Brocade: Shared Aesthetics of a Qianlong Porcelain
and Rococo Textiles, he analyzes the style of vases that were produced during the Qianlong
dynasty (1736 95) and compares them to the textiles of the Rococo styles that help shape such
styles. Chan opens the article with a brief description of the QIanlong dynasty great
accomplishments in the ceramic arts, emphasizing the flamboyant style of the vases. He argues
early on, that not enough time is spent discussing how the style came to be and later expounds on
the technological advances and cultural influences that contributed to the production of such a
unique style. that the works were heavily inspired by the European styles. He shows parallels and

The Current Canadian Human Rights Act
Introduction The current Canadian Human Rights Act was issued in 1977 to ensure equal
opportunities for Canadian employees in the working environment. The main goal is to stop
discriminatory practices. According to the Canadian Human Rights Act (1977) itself, these
practices can be based on race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, age, sex, sexual
orientation, marital status, family status, disability or conviction for an offence for which a
pardon has been granted or in respect of which a record suspension has been ordered . Since its
issuance date, many discriminatory practices could be discussed publicly and in case of
disagreements aligned by the court. Although, still today discriminatory practices take part in
business life in small and big forms and the problem might never be fully solved. Therefore, this
essay discusses the function of the Act, its benefits and consequences for Canadian employees
and employers and gives examples from past legal cases. It focusses on the part provision of
goods, services, facilities or accommodation customarily available to the general public to limit the
size and give deeper insights into the certain topic. Additionally, the main emphasis lies on the
workers rights due to the course topic. Denial of good, service, facility or accommodation The

Life Cycles of Products Essay
Life Cycles of Products The definition of a product is anything that is capable of satisfying
customer needs , this includes both physical products, like cars, cell phones, machines, as well as
services like banking, and insurance. Businesses manage and modify their products over time so
that they constantly meet the changing demands of their customers, the methods used to manage a
number of brands and product lines is known as Portfolio Managing. The different stages through
which these individual products develop in time in terms of the sales they generate is known as

At this point, the sales generated are usually low and the profits are typically low or none at all.
Due to the fact that the company is paying a lot for advertising and brand building, the customer
pays a high price for the product. This stage is also characterized by high distribution costs. At
this point of time the product offered is still in its most basic form. A good example of a product
in this stage currently is the new DVD Writer for computers, which enables users to store up to
five times more information as compared to a compact disc. Currently, they are extremely
expensive, the speeds at which they can be written at are relatively slow compared to the
traditional compact disc. There is also a heavy advertising campaign by manufacturers in all
computer stores. The second stage is known as the Growth Stage. This stage is mainly
characterized, for successful products, by a tremendous increase in sales. New customers are
added while existing customers are making repeated purchases. By now however, competitors have
introduced similar products, with a large number of sales and competitors the price is lowered to
make the product more attractive for potential buyers. This is one of the tools of a system that is
used in this stage known as Product Differentiation, where the marketing strategy is implemented
that seeks to create a difference in

Healthcare for All
Healthcare for all
Introduction
Access to health care is one of the human rights that is stipulated in the American constitution. It is
also a priority as per the provisions of the World Health Organization. Provision of health care is
not solely the work of the government. It is also facilitated by other organizations from the private
sector such as health insurance providers and other non governmental organizations ADDIN

Regulation Before Restriction Essay
Americans spend about ninety percent of their food budget on processed foods, which, unlike
whole foods, have been treated, stripped, altered, or refined in some way after being harvested or
butchered ( Additives ). Most food industries believe preservatives make food last longer. More
importantly, preservativeare cheaper and therefore better for the company s budget. Although,
organic ingredients and foods would be more expensive, and because of this, we have the
ultimate question: what is your value based on, your money or your health? By spending less
money, we are able to save our wallet, but by spending more money, we are able to save our body.
So what is the cost oh keeping preservatives legal? The cost is far too many lives and... Show more

While there are benefits in preservatives in order to preserve shelf life, these preservatives could
also negatively impact your vital organs causing decline in their functions. Are preservatives and
additives like this helping or hindering? Even foods which most would consider to be preservative
free and healthy often contains those additives. Take salad as an example, most Americans consider
it a healthy lunch. But it does not cross the average American s mind that something supposedly
healthy such as salad would bring issues due to the preservatives that were once present in them.
Anastasia Toufexis, Time Magazine author, informs us that sulfites were put in salads and
vegetables to keep them from wilting and discoloring. However, in the 1980s, the FDA took control
and limited the intake of sulfites by mandating that foods containing more than 10 parts per million
of sulfites must list this information on the food label. (Robin) The FDA has yet to ban them, they
simply require food companies to list them on the label. Currently, most Americans also see the
protein foods or meal replacement shakes they eat after working out or to lose weight as healthy;
however, most of these are also full of preservatives. Men s Fitness focuses on the food that people
eat it without thinking because it says it is meant to help fitness. People are unaware that the
majority of the ingredients in health foods are still acids, preservatives, and mostly, sugar. This fact

Article Reflection Essay
When I first became concerned with what was going on in the world, I always turned to the
News Channel or a documentary to update me on that day s current event. I never opened a
newspaper, magazine, book etc. because I felt it was less time consuming, more intriguing and
simpler to understand if I listened to the story being spoken rather than reading it. Due to this
class and our weekly article assignments, I realized it is much more stimulating to open up a
newspaper or print out an article to read rather than watch a television screen to inform me on
what is going on in the world. Not only did this class help me appreciate reading more, but it also
taught me the real meaning behind key terms and cases that can help me make better use of the
article I am reading rather than trying to understand what the story is. I truly believe these
article assignments caused a major positive impact on my reading abilities, understanding and
use of the context and all around better knowledge on what is going on regarding current events.
Since I was a child, I was never big on reading because my mind would wander off to different
places and I would lose track of my reading. When Professor Varner announced to the class about
the weekly article assignments it really did not sound all that captivating to me. I did not look
forward to these assignments because I knew I had to actually read an article and understand the
issue, even though this was extremely easy going and not time consuming

themes in lost horizon Essay
What is Paradise? Throughout history man has sought to create, find, or at least image a paradise
on earth, a place where there is peace, harmony, and a surcease from the pain that plagues our
lives. On the eve of World War II, James Hilton imagined such a place in his best selling novel,
Lost Horizon.
The story itself begins when an evacuation of Westerners is ordered in the midst of revolution in
Baksul, India. A plane containing four passengers is hi jacked and flown far away into the Keun
Lun Mountains of Tibet. The plane crashes and the passengers are welcomed to the valley of the
Blue Moon, and the lamasery of Shangri la. Here they see an isolated monastery shrouded in

Almost immediately Conway feels he is ideally suited to their way of life. He meets other lamas
who have been at Shangri la for a long time, including Lo Tsen, with whom he quietly falls in love
with. All the newcomers desire to stay, except for Mallinson. He and Lo Tsen fall in love with
one another and makes plans to leave. Conway warns Mallinson not to take Lo Tsen back with
him, knowing her extreme old age will cause her to die immediately. Mallinson doubts Conway s
knowledge of Shangri la, which in turn leads Conway himself to doubt and eventually consent to
leave. After their departure from Shangri la, the story is unresolved. We are lead to believe that
there was truth to the story and that Lo Tsen rapidly ages then dies, we are never definitively told
the fates of the her, Conway and Mallinson following their departure from Shangri la.
A theme found in Lost Horizon is the desire to leave and apparent utopia in favor of a former home,
however flawed. This is comparable to Odysseus who wanted to leave the utopian island of
Kalypso to return home to Ithaca and his wife. The British youth Mallinson is similar to Odysseus
in this respect. While Conway, Barnard and Miss Brinklow find Shangri la a satisfying place to
live, Mallinson intensely desires to leave and return home to his family, friends, and country. The
other characters lack of connections to the outside world causes the difference in their attitudes

Girls Should Be Able To Play Boy Sports
Have you girls ever wanted to play a sport that only boys could play? Throughout this piece of

girls should be able to play boy sports. I will tell you all about my opinion in these paragraphs.
First, my opinion is girls should be able to play boy sports because most girls prefer playing
them. Many girls also grew up playing those sports and they re used to it. Also, the girls that grew
up playing those sports have been involved in them since they were as young as three years old.
There are girls who aren t able to participate in them and they move to different school districts or

Media Is A Pharmaceutical Liquid
Contrast media is a pharmaceutical liquid that can accentuate specific injuries. Contrast media can
help specific organs, blood vessels, and tissue types be accurately visualized. Contrast is used in x
ray, fluoroscopy, MRI, and computed tomography scans. Contrast media is a solution that can be
administered into a person one of three ways: intravenously, orally, or rectally. The patient might
have to drink the contrast solution before the exam begins. Although there are many flavors, it can
taste chalky. The contrast agent can also be injected into a joint space. It is most commonly used in
orthopedics. Barium and iodineare the two agents that are most commonly used. Gadolinium is also
used in MRI. It has a relatively harmless interaction with the body. Most contrast reactions are not
serious and can be taken care of without emergency care. Radiologist technologist try taking
precaution for these situations. The effects from administering contrast media can vary from
immediate, delayed, and long term physical reactions, however, there are several actions that can be
taken to mitigate these issues. The most common side effects people experience include a warming
sensation and a metallic taste in their mouths. These are normal side effects and will go away on
their own in time. No treatment would be needed. Slow intravenous injections will decrease the
metallic taste. A difference between two minutes rather than a ten second injection makes the

La Descente Dans La Folie Chapter 10 Analysis
La Descente D un Aigle Dans La Folie The Battle of Bautzen Chapter One The wind whispers
something lethal. Clouds, hailing not from the heavens but a more sinister source, man s
ingenuity, engulf the battlefield with gunpowder and soot. Behind this curtain of smoke an
orchestra of death awaits its conductor s directions. The conductor, however, is silent, busy
probing the enemy s lines for weaknesses, but to his dismay the enemy s center remains
formidable. Frustration builds as he realizes that his marshals attacks on the Russian s left flank
the previous day had failed to divert manpower from the enemy s center. A young hussar rides up
to him with a message. Ney is ready. The messenger says. He turns to his gunners and orders them
to concentrate their fire on the enemy s center. All of a sudden the curtain retreats and from it
flames reach out for the nearest victims. The effect is devastating. The Russian s first line nearly
collapses, and yet he refrains from committing his reserves. His marshals implore him to act but
their protests are fruitless. Little do they know that their emperor has already won this battle.

Analysis Of Ehrenreich s Nickel And Dimed

a high population of English speaking whites. Over the course of her time working at with the
Maids as a housecleaner, she witnessed many health issues that affect her coworkers and experience
health problems herself. A major problem that the poor face is access to proper healthcare, in both
treatment and prevention. The inability of the working poor to stay healthy is a key factor in their
continued suffering.

Ehrenreich, disoriented and maddened by her rash, turned to her healthcare provider from her
original life, managing to obtain medications that relieved her condition. If she did not have that
back up resource to tap into, she would be probably be in much more discomfort. Despite how
proud most Americans are of the Declaration of Independence and its well known unalienable
rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness , the United States is one of the only major
countries that does not guarantee healthcare to the people as a right of citizenship. Americans
pay more than enough taxes for universal single payer healthcare, but we are far from enjoying
reliable coverage (Woolhandler 2002). The healthcare system in the United States is complex
and fundamentally broken. But various groups of politicians, industries, parties, and people are
distracted with pointing to specific targets: the federal government, state governments, public
and private hospitals, insurance providers, pharmaceutical and medical equipment providers,
doctors and nurses, and the legal system. All these agents have a role in causing this healthcare
beast we have now, and it is unlikely that they can ever work together to solve the issues. For the
poor, it means that they cannot afford much healthcare. Injuries have to be walked off and an
emergency room visit is an impossible expense. Although Medicare has reduced the burden
somewhat, the poor still receive sub par healthcare compared to the rest of society. Chronic pain
has to be managed by Excedrin and Advil, compensated for with cigarettes and, in one or two
cases and then only on weekends, with booze (Ehrenreich 82). The poor is often criticized for
substance abuse, be it drugs, alcohol, or more nefarious stimulants. However, Ehrenreich makes it
clear that these are necessary to dull the pain acquired from their work. For many of these low wage

Summary Of Seeing The Unseen Essay
SEEING THE UNSEEN
The project suggests a new typology of the hotel that addresses an alternative for the social
situation in Doha. In general, typical hotels tend to conceal the service programs; the service
programs and staffs are hidden in the basement, being removed out of the public vision and called
back of the house, while the hotels are inclined to expose the rooms by deploying them on the front
side of the facade. It is undeniable fact that the conventional typology has been working well all the
while, however Doha has somewhat atypical context, consequently it calls for an exceptional
architectural approach; Doha has been undergoing rapid growth in the hotel industry where
numerous local residents are being engaged in the industry as hotel staffs. Moreover, Doha has
extremely hot and humid weather. Therefore, the project proposes to reverse the tradition, drawing
a question about the essence of the hotel (figure 1). To be specific, spaces and infrastructure for
service are disposed in the perimeter to reveal the fundamental aspect of the hotel as such the inner
organs become skin, conducting the whole metabolism of the body (figure 2). By doing so, the
back stage becomes the main stage that shows the system of the hotel which is the heart and soul of
the hotel. This logic is materialized in three points: programs, structure and tectonics, and the
material properties.
First of all, the organization of service programs is the main apparatus of the system.

The case of Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka is one of the most profound cases in Canada. Paul
Bernardo is known as a Canadian serial killer and rapist, specifically in the southern Ontario area.
He came from a home of abuse and neglect. Despite his childhood, he graduated from University
of Toronto in the Scarborough area with a commerce and economics degree. This proved that Paul
was an intelligent intellectual who was seen as the average in society. In October of 1987, Paul

these actions originated because Paul had a fetish with virgins, Karla was not a virgin when she

Power Of Music Essay
Music has been around for a very long time. Music has a way of influencing each and every one
of us to do things we don t even realize we are doing. There is a big difference between the power
of music and the influence it has on today s society. The world today is not anywhere near perfect,
but musicis there to take away the pain. On the other hand, the power of music is endless. It has
the power to make a grown man break down crying or a heartbroken widow smile. It has a way
of letting someone who is hurting inside let out their feelings for the world to hear and be there
for them. There is no end to the power of music, but music cannot fix everything. Bob Marley
once said, One good thing about music. When it hits you. You feel no pain. The world today is
filled with so much hate and sorrow, and music has a way of reaching those who are down in
life. Music has endless ways to inspire and cheer up anyone. The lyrics of a song are a poem that
tells a story whether it be a love song or a rap song. If everyone would take the time of day to
listen to the lyrics they would understand and feel the music on a whole other level. Although if
someone is feelingblue, a rap song probably isn t the one for them. The melody or the instrumental
part of the song is mind blowing. Take out the words and there is just pure music. It can put
someone in a trance of just pure imagination. As Elton Johnonce said, Music has healing power. It

Summary Of The Article Easter Island By Jared Diamond
In the article by Jared Diamond, many interesting theories are discussed about Easter Island s
history and decline. Diamond makes connections to the environmental challenges we face today
and he compares the catastrophe of Easter Island to our current over consumption of natural
resources. While this article makes for an interesting read, much of it is offered from a single
perspective and little counter evidence is offered. The author writes in a way that could engage a
non academic audience who may not be interested in counter evidence, or proper referencing. The
article lacks credibility due to its narrow scope and conversational diction. At the root of this
discussion however, is the notion that the Rapa Nui people were... Show more content on

In his arguments, the author uses his own point of view, information from other people s
research, and from historical voyages without offering any proper references. Additionally, the
author uses non academic language to inspire literary imagery in order to make the article more
attractive to potential readers. This article does make for an interesting read, but it is far from
accurate. In my opinion, the author has cherry picked the evidence in order to create a scenario
where the blame for the demise of the ecosystem was places squarely on the native s shoulders
which discounts any natural factors that could have happened. The Rapa Nui were a complex
society of people who utilized the land in innovative ways. Indeed something catastrophic did
take place, and I do not know exactly what that was, but I do not believe it was solely greed and
consumption that caused the downfall of an entire society as the author would have you believe.
The author mentions the use of carbon dating, pollen analysis, archaeology, and paleontology to
help develop a time frame of when the island was settled, and when it encountered problems. This
should have been discussed in more detail with proper referencing in order to strengthen this
article. These diciplines are useful and necessary to form a forensic picture of what the island
would have been like, and when it would have started to decline. What he successfully proves was
that there was a

Hawthorne Effect Observation
To begin with, this is a qualitative research paper that is based on observing two small micro level
groups. Microsociology is the study of small groups, often through experimental means. My natural
setting took place at Swedish American Health System in the 8th floor (Mother/Baby unit). My
observation was approximately one hour and ten minutes in length and occurred around noon. I did
not mention anything about my data collection in hopes of eliminating the Hawthorne Effect. The
Hawthorne Effect is the unintended influence that observers of experiments can have on their
subjects. Which is when the people being observed change their attitude to mess up the data that is

The Pros And Cons Of Suicide Terrorism
Suicide terrorism does not always have to be an attack on the United States from a different country
with different cultural values. Suicide terrorism can come from American citizens. More current
events are mass shootings by American citizens against their own people. One event is the attack on
Sandy Hook Elementary. This attackwas where Adam Lanza started by killing his own mother,
and then moved on to Sandy Hook Elementary where he took the lives of Twenty children and
six adults (Connecticut Shootings Fast Facts, 2017, para. 2). After this act of violence, Adam
Lanza committed suicide. Another more recent mass shooting attack was the mass shooting in
Las Vegas. This attack was carried out by Stephen Paddock. Stephen Paddock, in his attack
killed 58 and wounded around 500 people before taking his own life (Yan, Park, 2017). Whether
suicide terrorism is being used by domestic or foreign enemies, the message is clear. They want to
hurt innocent people but at the same time scare the rest of the American people. Also, after these
attacks many political battles were pushed. Whether it be going to war with another country, or
making far stricter laws to possess a firearm and to outlaw certain types of fire arms. These
political battles have sparked many debates among the American people. It seems with the loss of
innocent lives, certain groups in America try to use this to push their own personal views of what
America should do to prevent any further acts.

Beer Classification Paper
The history of beer dates back hundreds of years prior to written history. Besides water and tea,
beer is one of the most frequently consumed beverages in the world. Contrary to popular belief, that
all beers are typically the same, there are many variances in color, flavor, strength, production
method, ingredients and origin. Beercan be divided into 2 broad sub categories: aleand lager. Ales
were the first type of beer ever created before brewers knew the role yeast played during the beer
making process. Ale yeasts flocculate at the top of the fermentation tank and are brewed from
malted barley using a warm fermentation. The yeast ferments the beer quickly, which gives it a full
bodied and fruity taste. They also contain hops, which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Something else that adds to the taste of a beer, are additional ingredients. The last major difference
between ales and lagers are there supplementary ingredients. Ales typically have more of a malty
taste, due to an elevated amount of hops, malts, and roasted malts that are added during production.
Ale brewers, typically have more leeway with how they produce their beer, and tend to add a
several different ingredients during brewing, like the ones mentioned above. These extra
ingredients are referred to as, adjuncts. Brewers of lagers only have a few, simple ingredients:
malted grain, hops, yeast, and water. The production method of lagers is somewhat due to the
stringent Reinheitsgebot Law, also known as the German beer purity law . This law prohibits
any adjuncts during the brewing process of lagers, only permitting water, barely, and hops as
ingredients. Tea and water maybe two of the most consumed beverages in the world, but beer is
right behind in a close third. Beer is gradually becoming more and more popular. This is evident
through the new trends of beer companies that have begun to accommodate for the new low calorie
beer trend. Corona, Heineken, and Anheuser Busch have led the pack by producing Corona Lite ,
Heineken Lite , and Budweiser Select . With more and more companies attending to these trends,
beer has broadened their target market. Overall, these companies are innovating the deeply historic

Navy Seal Personal Statement
If I could characterize my entire life in a single word, that word would be dedication. I grew up
in a family committed to serving both our community and our country. My dad served for eight
years as a naval intelligence officer before transitioning to federal law enforcement and my mom
has stayed active in our church assisting in our nursery, teaching and some leadership roles.
Beyond that, my grandparents, nearly all my cousins, and uncles serve in law enforcement,
military, or medical. This environment instilled in me the value of hard work and ambition
while setting me up for a career in public service. Like a moth to the flame, I have always been
drawn to the military. It appeals to me in many ways, but most prominently in the role of the
military to protect individual s freedom. As a US history major, my dad always regaled me with

The Struggle Between Gestational Surrogacy And Adoption
Surrogacy is a good alternative for couples struggling with infertility who wish to have a
biological child. Many couples struggle for years trying to have a child. This can be a very
emotional process to deal with especially when each person involved blames themselves for the
lack of conception. Some unconventional couples would not be able to have a child without
surrogacy. Surrogacy is also a good option for single people who want a child without a significant
other.
There are many ways for infertile individuals to have a child. One option is adoption. Adoption
is very expensive, time consuming, and only available for certain people. Unconventional
couples, single people, and older people might have a tougher time passing the strict guidelines
for adoptive parents. It also may take many years to find a child to adopt, and if you do find one it
might be an older child. Many couples looking to adopt want a baby. Also, many... Show more

Summary Of What Is Education For By David Orr
When I was five years old I began school. In Kindergarden we learned basic things like letters,
numbers, and how not to be fully engulfed in flames. For some reason, 2004 was the height of
anti fire education in Missouri and before I knew how to tie my shoes I knew that if I ever was
ablaze, to cover my face, fall to my knees, and roll back and fourth. This is what my institution
placed serious value upon and because I was a student of that institution I also placed serious value
upon it. The same idea must be applied to a university s teaching of environmental sustainability.
This is discussed in David Orr s What is EducationFor? Through choosing a curriculum a university
chooses what it places value onto, by making the environment a priority it showcases to the future
generations that environmental wellness is an important responsibility for them to take ownership.
A university s job is create responsible adults. While they educate students on paying bills,
owning a home, and living away from caretakers they must also educate students on the
responsibility they have to the environment. Whose responsibility was Chernobyl? (Orr) Orr asks
to illustrate how hard it is to assign blame to environmental issues because they problems are just
so large. If everyone takes blame than everyone will strive fix troubles. Knowledge of how to do
vast and risky things has far outrun our ability to use that knowledge responsibly. (Orr) One of

ABSTRACT
Diaspora refers to the movement of the population from its original homeland. The word Diaspora
is a transliteration of a Greek word that means to sow throughout or to distribute in foreign lands or
scatter abroad. Diasporas are deracinated population leaving ethnic and cultural origin in a
motherland other than where they currently live. Their economic, social and political affiliations
cross borders of nations. Diaspora studies presume the existence of displaced groups of people
who retain a collective sense of identity. The writers of Indian Diaspora practice a variety of literary

Reuniting with my father.
I had not seen my father for the last ten years and I wanted to see him. I also wanted to be in the
United States of America which had been my dream since I was a little child. My dad left for
United States to seek asylum. He escaped unhurt during the 1992 post election violence. Inter tribe
skirmishes erupted immediately the result of then heavily contested election was announced. My
father was one of main campaigners of the opposition party. Since he was in the forefront he was
the target in the skirmishes. He ran to the United States to save his life. After staying in the United
States of America for ten years, he was granted US citizenship. He decided that we join him. We
missed him, as he missed us too.
I was excited and couldn t wait until the last week I had to spend in Africa that is when I realized
I was going to leave behind: All my relatives and friends, our home. It was going to be hard for
me to leave the place I called home for eighteen years but what I wanted most is to see my father.
It was very early in the morning when I got up, the sky was clear; it had never looked so
beautiful like this day. The grass and bushes still filled with the morning dew. We got into my
mom s Volkswagen golf and we drove down to my grandparents to say the final word before our
journey was due. It was exactly sixty seven miles away from the garage to grandparents homestead.

Generally, heterogeneous nucleation takes place more quickly since the foreign particles act as a
place or structure for the crystal to grow on. Heterogeneous nucleation is slower and can take place
by several methods. Some of the most typical are small inclusions, or cuts, in the container the
crystal is being grown on. (Dr. Helmenstine, A. M. 2011) After nucleation has taken place, then the
second stage is growth. The growth stage is when the crystals actually start to form. The solute
molecule in the solution will be attracted to the protocrystal until more and more molecules bond
together and then the crystal starts to grow until it is a fully formed crystal. Concluding, a crystal
has two stages after supersaturation takes place, nucleation and growth. During these two stages is
when the growth and size of a crystal is determined.
A seed crystal is a common method people use to grow crystals; seed crystal is categorized under
assisted nucleation, so the process of growing a crystal becomes faster. A seed crystal is created
by supersaturation (Banfield, J., amp; Wallace, H. c. 2002). When the supersaturated solution has
cooled down, seed crystals form at the bottom of the solution (Thackwray, M. 2003). After a
crystal seed is formed, it is used to grow a crystal. The crystal seed is tied to a string. Then the

Financial Analysis:
Operating Performance Assessment
Northrop Grumman manage and assess our business based on their performance under contracts
and programs (typically two or more closely related contracts). Sales from their portfolio of long
term contracts are primarily recognized using the cost to cost method of percentage of completion
accounting, but in some cases the units of delivery method of percentage of completion accounting
is utilized. As a result, sales tend to fluctuate in concert with costs incurred across our large
portfolio of contracts. Due to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) rules that govern our U.S
Government business and related Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), most types of costs are
allocable to U.S. Government contracts, and we do not focus on individual cost groupings (such as
manufacturing, engineering and design labor costs, subcontractor costs, material costs, overhead
costs and general and administrative costs), as much as we do on total contract cost, which is the
key driver of our sales and operating income.
In evaluating their operating performance, you will need to look primarily at changes in sales and
operating income, including the effects of meaningful changes in operating income as a result of
changes in contract estimates. Where applicable, significant fluctuations in operating performance

The biblical concept comes from the use of the word Yada , which means to know. I personally
really enjoy that word or better yet, the loftiness in the way the hebrews used words. I said to
myself sometime today before I viewed the lecture that the term love has become almost dead in
my vocabulary. Our culture has abused it.
Anyway, Yada means to know, but in their culture, you don t truly know someone unless you have

abandoned street urchin into a diabolical wealthy Miser. Many things or people influence Heathcliff
s life such as how he has been treated, the violence displayed to him and from him, and Catherine
and the way she acts when she is with him and when she is with others. All of these factors have
made Heathcliff the way he was portrayed at the end of the novel. In the beginning of Nelly s story,
we learn that Heathcliff was adopted by Mr. Earnshaw. When Mr. Earnshaw

Earnshaw dies their bond becomes stronger. Then everything goes south for Heathcliff when
Catherine meets Edgar and chooses to marry him. I believe that this upsets Heathcliff so much
because Catherine is his only friend and this is when Heathcliff really starts being manipulative
and evil. While Catherine was staying with Edgar Hindley treats Heathcliff like a servant and
denies him an education. This infuriated Heathcliff so he leaves for 3 years. As a result of Hindley
s torture Heathcliff becomes bitter and uncivilized. Heathcliff swears revenge against Hindley and
then follows through when he moves back to wuthering heights and takes everything from him
Hindley in a game of poker. After he s pretty much ruined Hindley s life and turns Hareton into a
miniature Heathcliff it is not enough. Heathcliff marries Isabella and then tortures her in their
marriage so much so that she just leaves so that he can secretly torture Edgar by being the heir to
his fortune. This is the time when Heathcliff starts showing his diabolical ways and begins to ruin
everyone s life. Heathcliff is very evil and I think that it spawns from when he was a child, and
how mistreated he was and now he just wants to miss treat everyone in his life so that they feel the
anguish that he always

Constitutional Amendments, Bangladesh
CONSTITUTION The fundamental law, written or unwritten, that establishes the character of a
government by defining the basic principles to which a society must conform; by describing the
organization of the government and regulation, distribution, and limitations on the functions of
different government departments; and by prescribing the extent and manner of the exercise of its
sovereign powers. A legislative charter by which a government or group derives its authority to act.
The concept of a constitution dates to the city states of ancient Greece. The philosopher Aristotle
described a constitution as creating the frame upon which the government and laws of a society are
built: A constitution may be defined as an organization of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, amendments during socialist one party and military rule in Bangladesh radically altered
the secular and liberal democratic nature of the constitution. THE CONSTITUTION OF THE
PEOPLE S REPUBLIC OF BANGLADESH AMENDMENTS CONSEQUENCES The original
Constitution of Bangladesh introduced a parliamentary form of government with the President as
its constitutional head. It provides a responsible executive, a non sovereign legislature and an
independent judiciary with appropriate separation of powers, and checks and balances among them.
The supreme law of Bangladesh, the Constitution, confers only limited law making competence on
Parliament. Parliament does not possess any intrinsic law making power, which derives from the
constitution. The parliament cannot make any law in contravention with the provisions of the
constitution. The Constitution embodies the principle of ministerial responsibility, both individual
and collective, to the parliament and ultimately to the people, the source of all powers in the
republic . Bangladesh started its journey with a parliamentary form of democracy, derailed
afterwards from the fundamental aspiration of democratic governance by introducing one party
political system with an all powerful head of the state the President . There

Coal Mining
Coal mining is not only a dangerous job, but also life threatening and deadly. Many accidents
have happened over the years and coal mining is less popular than it was when it first started.
Even though today fifty percent of our electricity is powered by coal. There are four different
types of coalmines, each very different. The first type are drift or slope mines, they are driven into
valley walls near seams of coal. The second types of mines are shaft mines, these types of mines
use pumps to remove water. Boreholes are drilled to relieve water pressure for safer mining. The
third types of mines are surface mines. Surface mines use draglines, which can remove up to 200ft
of coal in a single pass. A dragline is a machine used in surface... Show more content on

The United States on average mines about 950 million tons of coal each year. The coal mine
with the most production is the Thunder Basin Coal CO. The Black Thunder mine is in
Wyoming, which in 1994 produced 31,651,762 tons of coal. The average weekly pay for a coal
miner is $903.76 and about $39,067.60 per year. You can surface mine on both mountains and
plains. Coal is a fossil fuel, because it was formed from the remains of vegetation that grew as
long as 400 million years ago. A fossil fuel is a naturally occurring fuel of organic nature, such as
coal, crude oil and natural gases. It is often referred to as buried sunshine because the plants which
formed coal captured energy from the sun through photosynthesis to create the compounds that
makes up plant tissue. Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants convert light to energy
by transforming carbon dioxide and water into carbon hydrates. There are about 267 billion tons
or, thirteen percent, of known American reserves in the United States. The most important
element in the plant material is carbon, which gives coal most of its energy. Most of the coal
today was formed about 300 million years ago, when steamy swamps covered most of the earth.
As plants and trees died, their remains sank to the bottom of the swampy areas, accumulating layer
upon layer and eventually forming a soggy dense material called peat. Peat is a

Juvenile Delinquency And The Juvenile Justice System
Abstract
This paper explores eleven published articles that report on results from research conducted on the
factors that contribute to juvenile delinquency and the solutions to correct or prevent this
delinquency. In the history of the construction and implementing federal laws, it has been
imperative to take actions and make procedures in response to the increasing number of minors
who violate the laws. The formation of a juvenile justice system that is made up of proper course
and development was created. It is important to point out the reasons why these juveniles do
offensive and criminal acts in order to form systematic and efficient solutions. These factors have
been the basis in creating solutions against juvenile delinquency. The juvenile justice system made
certain steps and processes to respond and take action against juvenile crime. They created facilities
where the accused juvenile can be rehabilitated for a certain time so that he or she will be
transformed by the time he or she leaves the reform center. Families, schools, and communities are
encouraged to get involved for the betterment of the youth. They are suggested to be a strong
support to the youngsters and join them with other activities that promote self esteem,
development, and self confidence to keep them away from trouble. It is also recommended that
they take note of each of the factors and to make solutions individually in response to the existing
issues.

  • 2. Informative Speech About Transgender Save it for me, Jesus! Don t let me die, Lord. Don t let me die! The old woman prompted up on her elbows and scooted as fast as she could towards the table, but the transgender rushed past her. Oh, help me, Jesus. Whooo, help me, Lord! Out of breath, the old woman rolled onto her back and huffed and puffed while looking at the ceiling. The fight continued on without her. Have mercy, Jesus. Knowing she needed the syringe to walk out of that room alive, she tried to get back into the fierce fight, reciting scriptures to build her strength. Help me get up, Lord. I m more than a conqueror. God, you have given me the authority to tread on these serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt me... All things are pos Someone kicked her in the mouth and brought her words to a stinging shut up. She tumbled over on her back where she stayed and gave up the physical fight, but she kept belting out scriptures one after the other. The transgender moved as fast as he could, but others were ahead of him. He stood and took a deep dive over the others, landing next to the businessman and rushed past him to get under the table. The businessman reached for his shirt, but grabbed his hair and pulled, his wig came off. He freaked out, threw the wig to the side and grabbed hold of the transgender s shirt. He turned on his back and started kicking his oppressor. The others continued fighting, they could see the syringe, some could even feel it with the tips of their fingers. They reached for it, but arms were snatched, pulled, held, bent and slapped away. The syringe was quickly swooped up, but a present danger awaited the college student who made it to it first. She rolled over and looked back to see everyone s eyes staring at her and instantly felt the intimidation of being the first one to make it to the syringe. In jeopardy, the rush to get from under the table was paramount. But even making it to her feet did not stop the pursuit of the others. In fact, it made it easier for them to attack her. In a panic, she knew she had to hold them off. Hold on, hold on. Wait, wait, wait! This is not the way to do this. Everyone was out of breath; they struggled to get up. The old woman ... Take salad as an example, most Americans consider it a healthy lunch. But it does not cross the average American s mind that something supposedly healthy such as salad would bring issues due to the preservatives that were once present in them. Anastasia Toufexis, Time Magazine author, informs us that sulfites were put in salads and vegetables to keep them from wilting and discoloring. However, in the 1980s, the FDA took control and limited the intake of sulfites by mandating that foods containing more than 10 parts per million of sulfites must list this information on the food label. I never opened a newspaper, magazine, book etc. because I felt it was less time consuming, more intriguing and simpler to understand if I listened to the story being spoken rather than reading it. Due to this class and our weekly article assignments, I realized it is much more stimulating to open up a newspaper or print out an article to read rather than watch a television screen to inform me on what is going on in the world. Not only did this class help me appreciate reading more, but it also taught me the real meaning behind key terms and cases that can help me make better use of the article I am reading rather than trying to understand what the story is. I truly believe these article assignments caused a major positive impact on my reading abilities, understanding and use of the context and all around better knowledge on what is going on regarding current events. Americans pay more than enough taxes for universal single payer healthcare, but we are far from enjoying reliable coverage (Woolhandler 2002). The healthcare system in the United States is complex and fundamentally broken. But various groups of politicians, industries, parties, and people are distracted with pointing to specific targets: the federal government, state governments, public and private hospitals, insurance providers, pharmaceutical and medical equipment providers, doctors and nurses, and the legal system. All these agents have a role in causing this healthcare beast we have now, and it is unlikely that they can ever work together to solve the issues. For the poor, it means that they cannot afford much healthcare. Injuries have to be walked off and an emergency room visit is an impossible expense. Although Medicare has reduced the burden somewhat, the poor still receive sub par healthcare compared to the rest of society. • 16. Summary Of Seeing The Unseen Essay SEEING THE UNSEEN The project suggests a new typology of the hotel that addresses an alternative for the social situation in Doha. In general, typical hotels tend to conceal the service programs; the service programs and staffs are hidden in the basement, being removed out of the public vision and called back of the house, while the hotels are inclined to expose the rooms by deploying them on the front side of the facade. It is undeniable fact that the conventional typology has been working well all the while, however Doha has somewhat atypical context, consequently it calls for an exceptional architectural approach; Doha has been undergoing rapid growth in the hotel industry where numerous local residents are being engaged in the industry as hotel staffs. Moreover, Doha has extremely hot and humid weather. Therefore, the project proposes to reverse the tradition, drawing a question about the essence of the hotel (figure 1). To be specific, spaces and infrastructure for service are disposed in the perimeter to reveal the fundamental aspect of the hotel as such the inner organs become skin, conducting the whole metabolism of the body (figure 2). By doing so, the back stage becomes the main stage that shows the system of the hotel which is the heart and soul of the hotel. This logic is materialized in three points: programs, structure and tectonics, and the material properties. First of all, the organization of service programs is the main apparatus of the system. ... • 27. The Pros And Cons Of Suicide Terrorism Suicide terrorism does not always have to be an attack on the United States from a different country with different cultural values. Suicide terrorism can come from American citizens. More current events are mass shootings by American citizens against their own people. One event is the attack on Sandy Hook Elementary. This attackwas where Adam Lanza started by killing his own mother, and then moved on to Sandy Hook Elementary where he took the lives of Twenty children and six adults (Connecticut Shootings Fast Facts, 2017, para. 2). After this act of violence, Adam Lanza committed suicide. Another more recent mass shooting attack was the mass shooting in Las Vegas. This attack was carried out by Stephen Paddock. Stephen Paddock, in his attack killed 58 and wounded around 500 people before taking his own life (Yan, Park, 2017). Whether suicide terrorism is being used by domestic or foreign enemies, the message is clear. They want to hurt innocent people but at the same time scare the rest of the American people. Also, after these attacks many political battles were pushed. Whether it be going to war with another country, or making far stricter laws to possess a firearm and to outlaw certain types of fire arms. These political battles have sparked many debates among the American people. It seems with the loss of innocent lives, certain groups in America try to use this to push their own personal views of what America should do to prevent any further acts. ... Contrary to popular belief, that all beers are typically the same, there are many variances in color, flavor, strength, production method, ingredients and origin. Beercan be divided into 2 broad sub categories: aleand lager. Ales were the first type of beer ever created before brewers knew the role yeast played during the beer making process. Something else that adds to the taste of a beer, are additional ingredients. The last major difference between ales and lagers are there supplementary ingredients. Ales typically have more of a malty taste, due to an elevated amount of hops, malts, and roasted malts that are added during production. Ale brewers, typically have more leeway with how they produce their beer, and tend to add a several different ingredients during brewing, like the ones mentioned above. These extra ingredients are referred to as, adjuncts. Brewers of lagers only have a few, simple ingredients: malted grain, hops, yeast, and water. The production method of lagers is somewhat due to the stringent Reinheitsgebot Law, also known as the German beer purity law . This law prohibits any adjuncts during the brewing process of lagers, only permitting water, barely, and hops as ingredients. Tea and water maybe two of the most consumed beverages in the world, but beer is right behind in a close third. Beer is gradually becoming more and more popular. This is evident through the new trends of beer companies that have begun to accommodate for the new low calorie beer trend. In Kindergarden we learned basic things like letters, numbers, and how not to be fully engulfed in flames. For some reason, 2004 was the height of anti fire education in Missouri and before I knew how to tie my shoes I knew that if I ever was ablaze, to cover my face, fall to my knees, and roll back and fourth. This is what my institution placed serious value upon and because I was a student of that institution I also placed serious value upon it. The same idea must be applied to a university s teaching of environmental sustainability. This is discussed in David Orr s What is EducationFor? Through choosing a curriculum a university chooses what it places value onto, by making the environment a priority it showcases to the future generations that environmental wellness is an important responsibility for them to take ownership. A university s job is create responsible adults. While they educate students on paying bills, owning a home, and living away from caretakers they must also educate students on the responsibility they have to the environment. Whose responsibility was Chernobyl? (Orr) Orr asks to illustrate how hard it is to assign blame to environmental issues because they problems are just so large. The growth stage is when the crystals actually start to form. The solute molecule in the solution will be attracted to the protocrystal until more and more molecules bond together and then the crystal starts to grow until it is a fully formed crystal.
