say the least, that in the Bolshoi/Grigorovich version, there s no swan and no lake. In fact,
audience reaction was muted, and it made for some awkward moments when the audience was
dead silent and the dancers decided to come out for another bow. Grigorovich decided to make
the whole ballet a vision conjured up by the Evil Genius. The Evil Genius mirrors Siegfried in all
his dancing and actions, and swans appear from behind a curtain. In the third act a sextet of black
swans and Odile are also conjured up by the Evil Genius from behind this curtain. This robs the
ballet of any meaningful romantic connection between Odette and Siegfried. It s all a vision of the
Evil Genius, remember? And in the final act, there s no reconciliation or forgiveness between

Fourteen years ago, a newborn baby was found in a woven basket at the front gate of an
orphanage. This orphanage, which housed over 400 other abandoned babies and children, took
her in and cared for her. Ten months later, she was adopted by an American couple, with two
biological daughters of their own. This baby was me and this I believe: Whether a child is adopted
or blood related to the parents, the love and connection between the familyremains the same.

This piece is very different in one reason being that there s writing on here we can t quite read the

sculpture with the greenery, flowers, date trees, and even as well with the writing carved into the

This was to the difference in religion that Buddhism and Christianity caused in the Middle ages and
how it was affecting how the people of that times morals and their own ethnic codes. Samurai
wouldn t attack the peasants they felt obligated to protect due to the fact they were providing for
them, but the Knights often did attack peasants destroying the farms that they were living off of
and ransacking the homes of the villagers. Samurai didn t receive any land for their service they
only received some grain as payment, but Knights gained a considerable amount of land with
