It is simple to overlook a historical site or museum when it is in your local area and pass it on the
daily. Schifferstadt Architectural Museum is the historical site I continually disregarded until I had a
class trip there, it is less than a half mile away from school and I always pass it driving home, it is
bizarre that I have never visited there before the trip. Schifferstadt is located directly off of route 15
North on Rosemont avenue, it is a colonial German stone house that was built in 1758 by the Brunner

Coalition. Teenagers as well as adults are faced with these injustices. My idea of social justice is
giving the LGBT the same rights as all other citizens and overcoming stereotypes.
Some of the groups against this social justice are religious groups and their leaders and right wing

and economic development. However, those studies do not specifically analyze how the female s
availability to education rights has changed over time and the implications of those changes in relation
to the economic development. Furthermore, I will also discuss how women s other rights change
contribute to economic development. Initially, to assess women s availability to these rights, I use
administrative records from CIRI Human Rights Project. I find substantial changes in the female s
rights affect the economic growth between 2005 and 2014. Those changes are used to conclude that
the progress of women s rights has a negative impact on economic growth.

Scott Russell Sanders s Staying Put: Making a Home in a Restless World counters the
orthodoxy of a nation rooted in ideas. In response to an essay by Salman Rushdie, a migrant of
his native India, Sanders articulates the ceaseless nomadic thinking of Americans as a romantic,
heedless migration reaping no bounty. Sanders s writing challenges the American fanaticism of
migration wherein uprooting brings intolerance and thereby not only responds to a text but
creates literary value himself.
A definitive facet of Sanders s writing is his series, often paired with repeating

s wife admits to Candy, Crooks, and Lennie that she is unhappily married, and Crooks tells Lennie

Motifs Motifs are recurring structures, contrasts, and literary devices that can help to develop and
inform the text s major themes. The Corrupting Power of Women The portrayal of women in Of Mice
and Men is limited and unflattering. We learn early on that Lennie and George are on the run from the
previous ranch where they worked, due to encountering trouble there with a woman.
Misunderstanding Lennie s love of soft things, a woman accused him of rape for touching her dress.
George berates Lennie for his behavior, but is convinced that women are always the cause of such
trouble. Their enticing sexuality, he believes, tempts men to behave in ways they would otherwise not.
A visit to the flophouse (a cheap hotel, or brothel) is enough of women for George, and he has no
desire for a female companion or wife. Curley s wife, the only woman to appear in Of Mice and Men,
seems initially to support George s view of marriage. Dissatisfied with her marriage to a brutish man
and bored with life on the ranch, she is constantly looking for excitement or trouble. In one of her
more revealing moments, she threatens to have the black stable hand lynched if he complains about
her to the boss. Her insistence on flirting with Lennie seals her unfortunate fate. Although Steinbeck
