The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, the first game in the series, was released for the Super
Nintendo Entertainment System during 1992 and 1993 and later re released for the Game Boy
Advance in 2002. In six different levels and with four different special power outfits it features
Mickey Mouse on his journey to find his dog Pluto.[7] The game, and especially its outfit system and
graphics, received mostly positive reviews. It was criticized, however, for being relatively short. A
port for Sega Mega Drive was originally planned, but was abandoned.[8]
Story
Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck are playing catch in the park. When it is Goofy s turn
to throw the ball, he accidentally throws it too far. Pluto runs off chasing the ball and Goofy runs after
Pluto, leaving Mickey alone.[9] Mickey goes searching for his friends after a while, but falls down a
cliff into a strange magical land. Later, Mickey meets an old wizard who tells Mickey that Pluto was
taken by the evil king Pete.

How Does Larry King Change In To Kill A Mockingbird
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a novel set in the 1930s, a time of many hardships and
depression. While we think we have moved on from those times, there are still issues in our modern
day society that mirror those in Lee s novel. The killing of Larry King is an instance that is similar to
the death of Tom Robinson in the book. Larry King was a 15 year old student at Oxnard Middle
School in California before he died on Valentine s Day in 2008. He was shot by his 14 year old
classmate, Brandon McInerney two days before and was put on life support. According to their
friends, Brandon and Larry were drastically different. Brandon and a typical eighth grade boy, a jock.
He was tall, athletic and popular. Larry was small, immature, and was on third grade reading level.
But this bloodshed was not caused by their personality differences, but something they couldn t
change. Larry King was homosexual, while Brandon McInerney was heterosexual. The school
allowed Larry to wear heels and makeup to school, deciding to let him express himself. Before his
death, King had walked onto the basketball court in the middle of a game and asked McInerney to be
his Valentine in front of the team, who then made fun of McInerney. This shows that King had
provoked McInerney, but the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the book, a number of characters can be identified as mockingbirds, innocents who have
been injured or destroyed through contact with evil. One of these characters is Tom Robinson, a black
man who is shot when attempting to escape jail. He was falsely accused of raping Mayella Ewell by
her father, a white man, Bob Ewell. Bob was trying to give him and his family a better reputation by
imprisoning a filthy nigger. Because of the prejudice of the court in Maycomb, Robinson was found
guilty for a crime he never committed. He was sent to jail and was shot, no less than ___

Lydia Spencers Narrative
The feeling crept up on me, slowly, a suppressed whisper, a stifled scream. Hastening my steps I
approach the scene, the stifled screams turn into a wail. I shudder. Then, all at once, it stops. The white
wall of sound fades as I examine the scene. Crumbling stone, painted with layers of grime, haphazard
mounds of trash, what a place to be killed. Uniforms litter the pathway, bagging, tagging, and
searching. Searching for that one piece of evidence that will pin this guy down. Navigating further
into the alley, I come to where the victim lies, her body resting amongst the carnage. A golden halo
captures a youthful face, high cheekbones protruding from her creamy skin. Lipstick still staining her
pale, lifeless lips. What once had been a true mark of beauty and youth, gone. ... Show more content

Practice Questions
Problem 1.8.
Suppose you own 5,000 shares that are worth $25 each. How can put options be used to provide you
with insurance against a decline in the value of your holding over the next four months?
You should buy 50 put option contracts (each on 100 shares) with a strike price of $25 and an
expiration date in four months. If at the end of four months the stock price proves to be less than $25,
you can exercise the options and sell the shares for $25 each.

Suppose that a June put option on a stock with a strike price of $60 costs $4 and is held until June.
Under what circumstances will the holder of the option make a gain? Under what circumstances will
the option be exercised? Draw a diagram showing how the profit on a short position in the option
depends on the stock price at the maturity of the option.
The seller of the option will lose if the price of the stock is below $56.00 in June. (This ignores the
time value of money.) The option will be exercised if the price of the stock is below $60.00 in June.

Villains Persuasive Speech
Hi Ladies,
A friend introduced me to your fabulous podcast a couple years ago and I m so glad she did. I learn so
much and I feel I m a much more interesting conversationalist due to listening to you.
I m writing in response to your villainesses episode. I waited for you to mention the TV show Once
Upon a Time. While it is based on the animated Disney canon, the narratives are constantly changed.
One of the main storylines revolves around The Evil Queen of Snow White as she vacillates between
being a villain and a hero. In season 4, a good part of the season was dedicated to female villains.
While their motivations are often centered around men, nevertheless this show is full of female
villains.

The Louisiana Purchase
What was known as Louisiana Territory extended from the Mississippi River in the east to the Rocky
Mountains in the west, and from the Gulf of Mexico in the south to the Canadian outskirt in the north.
Part or all of 15 states were in the long run made from the land bargain, which is viewed as a standout
amongst the most critical accomplishments of Thomas Jefferson s administration. The Louisiana
Purchase had added tremendous new regions to the U.S.A., and a choice must be made about which
regions would be slave states and which would be free states. At the point when the Missouri domain
came up for confirmation, Congress decided that it could be a slave state, on condition that there were

A Study On Chemical Reactions
Tony Metz 9/18/14
Prussing School 006/7th
Review of Literature A chemical reaction is the communication (or interaction) between elements
(Green, 2012). Chemical reactions can happen naturally or can be caused by a person. They can even
happen inside of a living being (Newmark, 2000). Some chemical reactions can just happen randomly
and others need different amounts of energy for them to occur. Heat can provide chemicals with the
energy for this to happen. For example, dynamite is extremely sensitive to any shock. When it senses
the sparks of a lit fuse, a fast chemical reaction between fuel and a source that will burn it causes the
dynamite to explode (Newmark, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Baking soda contains sodium bicarbonate and is an ingredient used in cooking. It can also be called
NaHCO3 (Science Buddies, 2002 2014). It raises bread while in the oven and creates small holes full
of oxygen. The oxygen created is part of the combustion of the chemical reaction. Another way to say
sodium bicarbonate is sodium hydrogen carbonate (Oxlade, 2002). Baking soda can be used to create
a chemical reaction. One common combination including baking soda is the combination of baking
soda and vinegar. This reaction is a main part of my project. Baking soda also has properties that help
keep healthy skin and can protect the body and feet from infections. It has no smell and it is white and
powdery. Baking soda can provide resistance from the common cold and the flu (2014, Organic
Information Services, Health benefits of baking soda). Vinegar is an acid around 2 3 on the pH scale
(it is a pretty weak acid). It can also be called CH3COOH (Science Buddies, 2002 2014). The pH
scale measures if something is an acid or a base and determines how acidic or basic the substance is.
Its main components are acetic acid and water. Vinegar is used to preserve foods and is also used as a
condiment on many foods, such as salad dressing. Vinegar can clean well and is used to reduce the
effects of a jellyfish sting (nd, Chemical Formula, 2014). Acetic acid is a colorless liquid (it s an acid).
Acetic acid gives vinegar its taste. Since the

The Emotional Effects Of Emotional Motivational Theory
The Emotional Motivational Theory contributes to the ongoing criminological debate while answering
what exactly causes humans to commit crime. It also highlights how crime should be handled and
prevented by studying the basic human mind and its functions. I created the Emotional Motivational
Theory because it relates to every individual on earth in aspects of human interactions. The theory is
based off of the seven emotions we as humans exhibit. The seven emotions consist of: anger,
contempt, fear, disgust, happiness, sadness, and surprise. It is human nature to experience these
emotions and this directly correlates with our ways of thinking, feeling, and actions on a day to day
basis. The Emotional Motivational Theory ties the seven emotions presented in humans to the major
causes of crimes. For the past centuries, criminologists have extensively studied why people commit
crimes, but The Emotional Motivational Theory gives a new perspective behind the motivation created
by not harnessing emotional instability properly. This is a historical breakthrough relating to the
contemporary social conditions in the United States. The Emotional Motivational Theory depicts a
wide range of crimes from minor drug use to the worst serial killers of all time, and everything in
between. Trying to prevent criminals to stop committing crimes is like telling a new born baby to talk
and walk, it takes time and effort, but my theory has a long list of programs that can help prevent
crime. We

The Landmark Herodotus Analysis
The Landmark Herodotus is one of the most unique history books that I have read. While reading The
Landmark Herodotus, I was not sure if I was reading a history book or an epic. It was written to record
the events of the Persians and Hellenes, but it incorporated myths, oral traditions, and the authors
opinions which made me feel like I had experienced each historic event first hand. Herodotus s writing
style is unique, but in the appendix C he is criticized for sometimes being inaccurate and distorting
historic facts, because he relied on people who can have faulty memories or sources of knowledge.
Herodotus sometimes was not certain on some facts, but he did his best to rely on logic to make the
best argument on what happened. For example, Herodotus argues that the Colchians are Egyptians. He
argues this by first noting his opinion of their resemblance and then used his logic to show how they
came from the army of Sesostris. He also points out that their whole culture and the way they did
things were very similar to the Egyptians. Unfortunately, in the appendix Herodotus is called out for
being wrong about his opinion of the Colchian s origin. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the accounts that stood out to me was when Herodotus recorded the events that happened in
king Xerxes s life. Herodotus seems to be able to give specific details about Xerxes trying to decide
whether or not he wanted to go to war and how he was receiving divine dreams, persuading him to go.
When Herodotus adds details like these I am forced to wonder how much of his writings I can trust,
but then he will write things that I know can be proven. In the same account of Xerxes he was very
specific on how the bridges across Hellespont were

The idea is to get them talking about the product with admiration. A company wants to gain loyal
customers. That will bring in potential customers in the future. People trust a familiar face. A company
advertising a product and giving it high regard is sometimes not enough to gain customer trust. They
want to be reassured by a family or friend.
Therefore, many Social Sites like Youtube, Myspace, Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook are links for
million of people around the world to connect with each other. Facebook is the biggest social media
platform with about 1.3 million users. It is a plethora of people networking with family, friends, and
other individuals with similar interests. This site is a constant conversation going on. The thoughts of
people are influencing each other from across the globe. Companies have quickly learned that social
media works: 39 percent of companies we ve surveyed already use social media services as their
primary digital tool to reach customers, and that percentage is expected to rise to 47 percent within the
next four years. (Divol, 2012) Company s can use social media to monitor what is said about their
brand, to influence a large scale of potential buyers, and to create personal connection with the
consumer. Monitoring what is said about a brand is key to know how well your product/service is

Immigrants In The Philippines
Today, Filipinos represent the 4th largest immigrant group in the United States by country of origin,
after Mexico, India and China (Alchin, 2017). The Filipinos started immigrating to the United States
for various reasons such as political and poverty. They were able to through trading ships and after the
Spanish American War. Once here, they faced prejudice and discrimination, including in our own
state, Washington.
The first wave of immigrants from the Philippines to America was during the period when the country
was under Spanish rule and formed part of the Spanish East Indies. People were migrating through the
Spanish trading ships that were called Manila Galleons , these ran across the Pacific Ocean from
Manila to the port of Acapulco. The ships carried things like silk, perfume, spices, and other goods
from China to Mexico and California. In California seamen who had been forced to work for the
Spanish, would migrate to North America. In 1763, Filipinos made their first permanent settlement in
Louisiana, these Filipinos were called Manila Men (Alchin, 2017). Another wave was impacted by the
Spanish American War. The Philippines came under the control of the United States of America in
1898 following the Spanish American War which lasted three and a half months on April 25, 1898 to
August 12, 1898. The 1899 Treaty of Paris ended this war where Spain sold the Philippine Islands to
the United States for $20,000,000 (Alchin, 2017). After this the

Major Concerns for Canada s Northwestern Territories
To solve the shrinking population and already small population issue the Northwest Territories has
decided to look for recruits. The government has come up with a plan to attract 2,000 more residents
over the next five years, to help grow the territory s economy. ( N.W.T. Aims to Attract 2,000 to
Territory1 ) This plan seems to have very good promise since there is a lot to be attracted to in the
Northwest Territories. Aside form the cold temperatures there is a surplus of job opening and offering,
there is plenty of land and space, resources have yet to be exploited and as mentioned before there are
the northern lights and plenty of adventurous activities. The government hopes that at least 20% of the
2000 residents will be students who leave the territory for post secondary education coming back to
live and work. ( With Population Shrinking 1) The government also has hopes to improve its
immigrant nominee program ( With Population Shrinking 1), which will help eliminate fly in/fly out
workers. The potential for economic growth is very promising. In a time where a good portion of
economies are taking a hit, this is the perfect opportunity for people to move and take advantage of the
Northwest territories small population and weak economy. Many people struggle to find jobs and if
they move there is a good chance they could land their dream job instead of a fall back dream. For
example, in the article With Population Shrinking, Canada s N.W.T. Seeks Recruits from the

The Advantages Of Homeschooling
Homeschooling
Homeschooling something that s grown over time and is become popular in homes. The children are
taught at home, by either the parents or a teacher that comes to the home a few times a week, or every
day like normal schooling. Children being schooled at home get many options when learning, and also
get to grow around the home. Homeschooling is a smart idea for parents to consider for their kids
because of different socioeconomic factors in the child s life, keeps the child safer, and gives them
more opportunity to use religious instruction in what they are learning.
When parents are choosing to homeschool, or put their children in public schools they look at the
different socioeconomic factors in their lives. These socio economic problems help in the decision to
homeschool their children. Depending on how many kids are living in the home, it may be easier to
homeschool their kids instead of on sending them to public school. homeschooled students were more
likely than public or private schooled students who are living in families with three or more children
(Princiotta and Bielick, Web). Parents that are living with three or more children, it is easier for the
parents to school from the home instead of sending them all to public school. If the guardians were
tight with money and couldn t afford to buy uniforms or buy them all the clothes they all need, it
would be a lot cheaper to have them hand me downs for the children. Another thing is if the children

How ATM Hacking Affects Business in the U.S Essay
ATM hacking has become more and more prevalent in society today. The more technology improves
the more fraud is done. The U.S alone, has fallen victim to ATM hacking over the last decade. There
has been countless numbers of ATM hacking taking place, having billions of dollars loss and innocent
people now in debt. ATM hacking has really proved to be effective and has become a major success
for criminals. In the article, Hackers Devise Wireless Methods for Stealing ATM Users PINs , author

This can have a long lasting effect on individuals. Even with the advances in technology, people are
still prone to data theft. U.S Secret Service says, companies were frequently the targets of the 130
skimming breaches the team studied from last year for its report. , says Robertson. That loss not only
affected companies, but also those companies employees and overheads. Many companies have a
certain amount of dues that are use in paying taxes. But how would companies pay those dues if they
are short of the funds calculated to cover those expenses? It puts them in a hole , so to speak, leaving
them unable to fulfill their duties to the government. It also leaves employees and customers with their
personal identities exposed and puts them at risks for being victims of data theft. Los Angeles Times,
publisher of Banks Are Warned About ATM Hacks says, The latest warning comes after millions of
Americans have had their financial information breached in a series of high profile cyber attacks, most
notably the theft of personal data from more than 110 million Target Corp. customers during the
winter holidays. Consumer privacy advocates generally recommend that consumers avoid using debit
or ATM cards altogether. It s better to use credit cards, in which the proceeds of any fraud are not
directly drawn from consumers bank accounts, they say. But why should customers have to change

The Nuclear Of Nuclear Weapons
Before the Second World War, nuclear weapons did not exist. However, by the end of the Second
World War, this was not the case. The United States initiated a top secret program code named the
Manhattan Project. This project brought some of the greatest minds of the world together with the goal
of developing nuclear weapons. The United States successfully tested its first nuclear bomb in New
Mexico on July 16th, 1945. Three weeks later two atomic bombs had been dropped on the cities of
Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, the only use of nuclear weapons in wartime. The atomic age had
begun and the race to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful and non peaceful purposes started
around the globe. The United States was the first and only state to posse nuclear weapon but that has
changed over the last seventy years. Currently the United States, Russian Federation, United
Kingdom, France, Israel, India, Pakistan, China and North Korea have active nuclear arsenals.
Attempts to limit, or stop the spread of nuclear weapons immediately, emerged after the first tests in
New Mexico. This paper will look at the effectiveness of efforts to stop nuclear proliferation from a
Liberal and Realist perspective, and will argue that Realism present the more appropriate approach to
the international system due to its explanation of anarchy, cooperation, and power.
The fear of the spread of nuclear weapons sparked unprecedented international cooperation in terms of

Four Core American Principles That Can Rejuvenate Our Country
All of these principles mentioned in the 4 core American Principles That Can Rejuvenate Our Country
are very important for the vitality of our country. Regarding the understanding of human nature, The
American founders accepted the traditional view that human nature is fallen. But they did not let this
stifle their hopes for self government (1). I believe that our Founding Fathers understood the allure of
power that any individual might have, but also the strength of it s citizenry in leading the country in
the right direction. Another principle that our Founding Fathers understood was that an overly
energetic government was not necessarily a good government. This often led to too much power being
put in the hands of too few people. ...Jefferson

Sports Agents Essay
Sports Agents
People have been entertained by sport since before the gladiators in the Roman Coliseum. In the 20th
century, the publics passion for sport consumes more and more of their free time. As sports figures
became internationally recognized, athletes began to realize their need for professional representation.
Thus, sports agents were born. The field of sports agents has grown since then into an enormous field.
Agents now deal with every aspect of an athlete s life. Agents can be considered professional mangers
who find the best place for their client s talent.
Sports Agents have not been around for a long time. Until the 1970 s, very few players had agents
because teams would not deal with agents (Masteralexis, 244). ... Show more content on

This system bound players to teams and allowed owners to depress salaries of players.
The second factor was the development of competing leagues. Competing leagues such as the
American Football League, the American Baseball Association, the World Hockey Association, and
the United States Football League offered an alternative to athletes (Masteralexis, 246). These leagues
offered higher salaries to induce players to move from their original teams. When players left a team
to for more money, it also increased the salaries of players who stayed on the team. Agents played a
crucial role in determining what was best for athletes, and which league they should choose.
The third reason for the growth of Sports Agency is the evolution of players associations. The Major
League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) led the move away from informal, powerless
associations to true labor organizations that took part in collective bargaining (Masteralexis, 246). This
organized a central association to bargain for players income, post career income, tax breaks, and
others. The union also made it possible for players to fight, or even strike to get what they wanted.
One of the largest accomplishments of the MLBPA was establishing free agency. This was able to
happen when Major League Baseball and the MLBPA went through negotiations and the MLBPA won
the right to labor grievance arbitration. Under this arbitration the MLBPA achieved free agency. The

Harriet Tubm The Moses Of Her People
Harriet Tubman: The Moses of Her People
On a cold night in the middle of winter, a weary slave ran across the field to the woods. There he met
Harriet Tubman, the conductor, and the rest of her sore footed but hopeful passengers who were ready
to start the long, treacherous journey to freedom on the Underground Railroad. Harriet Tubman, later
called Moses , was a runaway slave who came back to her people and helped over 300 of them gain
freedom. Harriet Tubman was born in Maryland to her slave parents Harriet Green and Ben Ross in
1822. Her mother worked as a cook for the Brodess family and her father was a skilled woodsman
who managed the timber work on the Thompson s plantation (Harriet Tubman par. 2). Because her
mother was so busy in the kitchen, Harriet cared for her younger siblings, till she reached the age of
six. When she was six, Brodess hired her out to be a nurse maid to Miss Susan. She was told to watch
the baby while it slept but when the baby woke up and cried she was whipped. Her next job was to
work for a planter named James Cook. She was assigned to checking the musket traps, even after she
contracted measles. Sadly, she got so ill she was sent back to Brodess were her mother nursed her
back to health.
When Harriet was 13 a slave tried to run away. The overseer threw a 2 pound metal weight at him but
Harriet stood in the way. The weight hit her in the skull and caused her to be unconscious for days.

kairomones which are residues rubbed off host body onto vegetation (Terassini et al., 2010). Ticks
become akinetic upon encountering residues of kairomones (Carroll, 1998). As Artiodactyla and
Peryssodactyla usually frequent the same trails (Emmons and Feer, 1997), ticks waiting on these
positions have a chance of successfully encountering the host (Carroll, 2003). Arrestment pheromones
present in cast larval skins, tick faecal droppings and tick body exudates also induce akinetic
(Sonenshine and Roe, 2014). These two pheromones result in clustering of ticks. The arrestment
pheromones are interspecies specific, i.e Ornithodoros moubata arrestment pheromones induce
ceasation of movement in O. tholozani (Sonenshine, 2004). This behaviour is also expressed between
some different genera (Sonenshine and Roe, 2014).
Adult ticks of Amblyomma and Hyalomma are exophilic, i.e. they hunt for a nearby host by running
across the ground (Walker et al., 2003). Argasids and many Ixodes species are endophilic, i.e. they
spent their life time in a host s nest from where they attach to available host. A few species of ticks
have adapted to human dwellings, e.g. Rhipicephalus sanguineus. These feed

Mandatory Government Spending In The United States
The government is trying to cut down on their government spending by changing the way they do the
census. As of now, they are spending 17 billion dollars on the preparation and the actual census. With
their new plan, they plan to save 5 billion dollars. They are experimenting in L.A. right now. The plan
is to send several notices to the citizens that tells them to go online and ask them questions about the
owner and the amount of people living in each home. However, Blumerman, the director of the
decennial census, expects 60,000 out of 225,000 homes not to respond. These homes will get a worker
from the census sent to them. In order to save money, the workers will use an iPad to get rid of the
costs of paper. The iPad is also a benefit because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are experimenting on L.A. now to see if there is any way to save money with a different process.
The census is done every ten years. The government counts the population in each state to see if they
need to add or subtract a seat in the House of Representatives. This allows the people to be
represented equally based on their state. Also the government is going to save a lot of money with
their new techniques. This is okay because it isn t one of the mandatory spendings that the government
has. It would be a discretionary spending because it isn t entitlement programs. They will save money
by finding new routes with the post office which is one of the biggest government corporations. They
will also try to limit going to abandon houses. However with the prices going down, it may cause
firing or census employees. This will be hard because it is difficult to hire and fire government
officials. Also with this new experiment, all people who speak a different language will be able to be
easily represented. This will hopefully allow the house to be more accurate on who they are
representing. The more diverse the house is the more opinions and views the government gets to see.
This is what democracy is all about. The census is under the leadership of the department of
commerce. This means it is an umbrella style because the department of commerce branches off to the
U.S. census bureau, so it s not the number one focus. Hopefully with these new experiments
gerrymandering will also be done less often. The new plan for the census will not only decrease
government spending, but it will also help with

Moscow Kremlin
Where the Two Rivers Meet One of Russia s diversities of Kremlins, the Moscow Kremlin is a
fortified complex at the heart of Moscow, standing erect and vast within the fork of the rivers,Neglina,
and Moskva. As early as 1147, the Kremlin had begun its glorious construction. Although it was not
all together majestic at the time, over the formative years, the Moscow Kremlin continued to populate
and expand until it became known as one of the greatest structures ever raised in Russia.
Where the two rivers, Neglinnaya and Moscow, meet in Russia, in the year 1147, a wooden fort was
erected by Yuri Dolgoruky, the Grand Duke of Kiev, as a center of high traffic and trade. As people
flocked in at a rapid pace, the fort grew to an abundance of new life and intensity. Becoming highly
populated, a town had sprung where the business of the traders grew abundant. They brought wealth
and treasures, foreign foods and valuables from far off. Need of a healthier fortification was instore.

This called for further renewing on behalf of the stone buildings. Ivan the Great who was ruler of the
age, requested the major alteration of the Moscow Kremlin. Remodeled to the core, the Kremlin was
transformed into the most magnificent structure in Russia and the pride of Moscow. While the city
lengthened its borders beyond the Kremlin, the glorious Cathedrals of the Assumption, the
Annunciation, and the Archangel were fashioned within its walls. The Russian Terem Palace was
erected as the royal residence of the Russian ruler who lived in this Capital city. Furthermore, the Ivan
the Great Bell Tower stood tall in Sobornaya Square, marking the wealth of the Kremlin. After Ivan
the Great s death, his descendants continued to modernize the Kremlin by refurbishing spires and
amending towers. The Russian Capital had developed from walls of wood, to spires of

Nation At Risk Gave Rise To Two Major Education Reform
Nation at Risk gave rise to two major education reform movements; accountability and school choice.
Federal government started thinking about testing, and standardization, which resulted in No Child
Left Behind (NCLB), and Race to the Top. McGuinn s No Child Left Behind (NCLB), describes the
politics of accountability as setting a standard for teachers, testing students to see if the schools meet
the set standards, and then holding the schools and teachers accountable for not achieving those
standards by creating consequences. George W. Bush, a Republican made NCBL a nationwide issue.
Unions and districts opposed accountability because testing could be grounds for firing teachers and

M. Freedman s idea was to apply the free market to the education system and allow the schools to
compete for the kids business. Unlike accountability, which was watered down after collaborating
work with unions, charters are rarely unionized. School choice got its impetus from the poor
minorities because they wanted better schools, while accountability was supported by businesses.
In Milwaukie during 1990s, local leaders mobilized disgruntled parents that were dissatisfied with
their education system resulting in the adoption school choice. When accountability was adopted,
there was a coalition of support, however choice was opposed on all fronts by the teachers unions,
NAACP, and Democrats. Unlike accountability adopted nationwide, choice was disproportionately
opposed at the state and local level. Reformers where up against teachers unions and districts who
avidly opposed choice. When opposition could not stop choice, they would try to help created the
structure by implementing ceilings/caps, making sure that charters did not get as much money as
public schools, and forcing charters to build their own buildings. Unions oppose choice because it
creates competition and the current system creates a consistent supply of kids whether the school is
good or bad. Choice allows kids to leave bad schools forcing the teachers to perform better, and
potentially putting teachers jobs at risk. The districts opposed choice

The novel is narrated in third person. However major part of the novel is seen through Rahel s
perspective, Major episode of the novel is upon what happened in Rahel s life, Novel unfolds in 21
chapters on different episodes of their childhood through Rahel s perspective The author executes her
work with great panache and succeeds in sending a subtle, yet strong message to all her readers
through every line she writes. Her genius lies in her application of humour even while describing
grave issues that perturb the society. The tone of the entire novel is melancholy, infused with a sense
of dejected prudence. Though Roy writes the novel from the children s perspective, the older
characters reveal their vulnerabilities as the story proceeds. Even though the pace of the story is slow,
the author fabricates her story delightfully and it proves to be a predominantly pleasurable experience
for its readers. The God of Small Things consists of two primary interlinked storylines. One is that of
the family in Aymenem and their day to day affairs. The other concerns itself with the protagonist s
first meeting with her fraternal twin after a gap of twenty three years. In between, there are other
secondary plotlines chronicling the stories of the other characters. The God of Small Things is an
ambitious novel that portray universal theme ranging from religion to biology. Roy stress throughout
the novel that small and big things are interlinked. The novel is able to

McMurphy, a Tragedy from the Beginning Would you ever accept a leadership role to a group of beat
down patients at a mental institution knowing the consequence would be death? Randle Patrick
McMurphy does just that. McMurphy, a con man who seeks institutionalization, becomes a role model
for the inmates at a hospital. These male patients are lifeless human beings who fear the institution
and its ruler, Big Nurse Ratched. Nurse Ratched runs the ward like an army prison camp with harsh
and motorized precision. Nurse Ratched controls the inmates in every way possible, and they have no
freedom. When McMurphy comes along, the inmates realize he is their rescuer, ... Show more content

He becomes a father like figure to the inmates, and the inmates begin to rely on him for their needs.
As McMurphy continues to defy Nurse Ratched and her rules by creating a basketball team, gambling
even more, and annoying Nurse Ratched, the inmates begin to see his actions as divine. This proves he
resembles Jesus Christ. He brings goodness into the ward to confront the evil set by the hospital.
George Boyd describes McMurphy s purpose when he says, he brings the promise of spiritual renewal
to his disciples (126). McMurphy clearly shows this when he repairs Chief Bromden and convinces
him to speak again. The Chief stops talking and acts deaf because he fears the society and its rules.
McMurphy gives him a new life and strength to overcome his fear and to challenge the rules of the
ward and Nurse Ratched. Another noteworthy example of spiritual renewal occurs when McMurphy
takes twelve inmates on a fishing trip. He creates a sense of freedom and strength within the inmates
by the trip. The resemblance to the twelve disciples of Christ is no coincidence. Just as Christ,
McMurphy gives his disciples a new life to live and a bright outlook for the future. The inmates grow
stronger and lose their weaknesses they are still afraid to take the initiative and challenge Nurse
Ratched and look to McMurphy to solve their problems. The achievement of McMurphy s rise to

The Great Gatsby And The Roaring Twenties
In a decade that roared with social amends it was often referred to as the Roaring Twenties. Two
famous literature pieces are very similar connecting key events and issues from this time period. F.
Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby and Ken Allen s Roaring Twenties both utilize conflict, foil and
symbolism to help the readers acknowledge the influence of class and money over the characters
during the Roaring Twenties.
Conflict is a recurring struggle throughout The Great Gatsby and Ken Allen s Roaring Twenties . In
Fitzgerald s nonfiction novel, class was one of the main conflicts and reasoning s behind many of the
actions from the characters. A major social issue was class socialization. Class socialization refers to
the rich socializing with the rich and the poor socializing with the poor. Classes of people were
divided by wealth. In The Great Gatsby, Daisy would not be with Gatsby due to his lack of money.
Since Gatsby descended from a poor family, Daisy would not accept him as a lover although she was
indeed in love with him. Gatsby s lack of wealth led to many other conflicts sustaining from his drive
to earn money to prove his worth of her affection. Another conflict in The Great Gatsby was the stock
market crash. The stock market crash was a major event during the Roaring Twenties. When the
market crashed, prices on goods soared due to the low quantity of products resulting with millions of
people becoming poor. In Allen s poem Roaring Twenties , socialism

Fishing, Celebes Sea, By The Sea
Fishing, Celebes Sea
In the middle of the ocean, all that can be seen is miles and miles of the alluring ocean. The color of
the waves are a spectacular mix of a light green, an astonishing teal, and the amazing darkness of the
blue. The tides lightly brushing against the welcoming homes of all the nice people. In the small boat
ahead contains an innocent child with his mother outside what can only be their house. The pleasant
subtlety of the sea breeze peacefully floating in the air causes relaxation that cannot be helped.
If you look up you can see the beautiful sky extending as far as the eye can see. The clouds soaring
into the distance beautifly. The mountains in the distance, elegantly sitting in the distance. The birds
chirping their song in mid day. This place gives a sense of Everything that can be seen is beautiful.
The wind blows constantly, causing sea mist to blow in the faces of the fishermen. Underneath the
boat is the clear, blue water with fish swimming, clueless, without a care in the world. The air has the
taste of salt and freshly caught fish. And the The smell is unmistakeable, with a hint of seaweed. In the
distance, great hills covered by clouds can be seen. Houses gather close by above the water. People
could almost say that the houses are floating. Millions of people gather in small boats, waiting
patiently for the single movement of their fishing wire. Every once in awhile, someone s laughter can
be heard above the sound of the small,

The Theme Of Love In Lin Manuel Miranda s Its Quiet Uptown
The theme of grief, especially in the context of losing a loved one is always a deep and emotional
topic to write about. Many writers have attempted to find the words to express how the family of a lost
loved one feels in the aftermath of such a terrible tragedy, but often they fail to fully grasp the emotion
in their writing. Lin Manuel Miranda is not one of these writers. In his song, It s Quiet Uptown, from
Hamilton, he beautifully portrays what its like trying to continue after losing someone one has never
imagined having to let go. The song describes the life of Alexander Hamilton and his wife Eliza
attempting to cope with the death of their eldest son, Philip. The beautiful language of the song and
the vivid imagery in the lyrics clearly convey the emotions one feels after the sudden loss of a loved
one and what it s like to watch people go through such a terrible time. The beautiful music and the
emotion with which it is preformed provide an excellent medium through which to convey this
message. The depth of Hamilton s grief is wonderfully portrayed in this piece of art. The first instance
of this imagery is in the first lines. Angelica sings, There are moments that the words don t reach,
There is suffering to terrible to name, You hold your child as tight as you can, And push away the
unimaginable. These lines paint the perfect picture of what it is like to watch a loved one die,
especially a child. As one sits there, watching as someone they love takes their

Journey s End by RC Sheriff Essay
Journey s End R.C Sherriff uses the characters in his play Journey s End to create tension and drama.
In the opening scene Sherriff uses Osborne, an elderly man who is second in command of the
company that s coming on duty, and Hardy, the captain of the company that is coming off duty, to set
the scene. Hardy starts to do this when pointing out features on a map of the front line, Here we are,
we hold two hundred yards of front line. We have a lewis gun here and one in this little sap here and
sentry posts where the crosses are . Sherriff also uses Hardy and Osborne to give an insight into the

; he s a splendid chap! From that you can determine that Hardy thinks Stanhope is a drunk and that he
is a joke to the company, whereas Osborne tries to be loyal to Stanhope by protecting him from Hardy
s verbal abuse. In scene two, the relationship between Osborne and Raleigh help us to understand
more about Stanhope and why Osborne is so protective of him. They give us more infomation on what
life in the trenches is like. When Raleigh first enters he acts like he is inexperienced because Osborne
has to tell him Sit down, won t you? and I should take your pack off. Osborne then starts to act as a
fatherly figure by saying to Raleigh My name s Osborne. I m second in command of the company.
You only call me sir in front of the men... You ll find the other officers call me Uncle . After then
talking about just arriving in the trenches Osborne mentions Stanhope Captain Stanhope is in charge
of this company. and to Osborne s suprise Raleigh says I know. It s a frightful bit of luck. Osborne and

  • 3. How Does Larry King Change In To Kill A Mockingbird To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a novel set in the 1930s, a time of many hardships and depression. While we think we have moved on from those times, there are still issues in our modern day society that mirror those in Lee s novel. The killing of Larry King is an instance that is similar to the death of Tom Robinson in the book. Larry King was a 15 year old student at Oxnard Middle School in California before he died on Valentine s Day in 2008. He was shot by his 14 year old classmate, Brandon McInerney two days before and was put on life support. According to their friends, Brandon and Larry were drastically different. Brandon and a typical eighth grade boy, a jock. He was tall, athletic and popular. Larry was small, immature, and was on third grade reading level. But this bloodshed was not caused by their personality differences, but something they couldn t change. Larry King was homosexual, while Brandon McInerney was heterosexual. The school allowed Larry to wear heels and makeup to school, deciding to let him express himself. Before his death, King had walked onto the basketball court in the middle of a game and asked McInerney to be his Valentine in front of the team, who then made fun of McInerney. This shows that King had provoked McInerney, but the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Uniforms litter the pathway, bagging, tagging, and searching. Searching for that one piece of evidence that will pin this guy down. Navigating further into the alley, I come to where the victim lies, her body resting amongst the carnage. A golden halo captures a youthful face, high cheekbones protruding from her creamy skin. • 10. A Study On Chemical Reactions Tony Metz 9/18/14 Prussing School 006/7th Review of Literature A chemical reaction is the communication (or interaction) between elements (Green, 2012). Chemical reactions can happen naturally or can be caused by a person. They can even happen inside of a living being (Newmark, 2000). Some chemical reactions can just happen randomly and others need different amounts of energy for them to occur. Heat can provide chemicals with the energy for this to happen. For example, dynamite is extremely sensitive to any shock. When it senses the sparks of a lit fuse, a fast chemical reaction between fuel and a source that will burn it causes the dynamite to explode (Newmark, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another way to say sodium bicarbonate is sodium hydrogen carbonate (Oxlade, 2002). Baking soda can be used to create a chemical reaction. One common combination including baking soda is the combination of baking soda and vinegar. This reaction is a main part of my project. Baking soda also has properties that help keep healthy skin and can protect the body and feet from infections. It has no smell and it is white and powdery. Baking soda can provide resistance from the common cold and the flu (2014, Organic Information Services, Health benefits of baking soda). Vinegar is an acid around 2 3 on the pH scale (it is a pretty weak acid). It can also be called CH3COOH (Science Buddies, 2002 2014). The pH scale measures if something is an acid or a base and determines how acidic or basic the substance is. Its main components are acetic acid and water. Vinegar is used to preserve foods and is also used as a condiment on many foods, such as salad dressing. • 11. The Emotional Effects Of Emotional Motivational Theory The Emotional Motivational Theory contributes to the ongoing criminological debate while answering what exactly causes humans to commit crime. It also highlights how crime should be handled and prevented by studying the basic human mind and its functions. I created the Emotional Motivational Theory because it relates to every individual on earth in aspects of human interactions. The theory is based off of the seven emotions we as humans exhibit. The seven emotions consist of: anger, contempt, fear, disgust, happiness, sadness, and surprise. It is human nature to experience these emotions and this directly correlates with our ways of thinking, feeling, and actions on a day to day basis. The Emotional Motivational Theory ties the seven emotions presented in humans to the major causes of crimes. For the past centuries, criminologists have extensively studied why people commit crimes, but The Emotional Motivational Theory gives a new perspective behind the motivation created by not harnessing emotional instability properly. This is a historical breakthrough relating to the contemporary social conditions in the United States. The Emotional Motivational Theory depicts a wide range of crimes from minor drug use to the worst serial killers of all time, and everything in between. Trying to prevent criminals to stop committing crimes is like telling a new born baby to talk and walk, it takes time and effort, but my theory has a long list of programs that can help prevent crime. While reading The Landmark Herodotus, I was not sure if I was reading a history book or an epic. It was written to record the events of the Persians and Hellenes, but it incorporated myths, oral traditions, and the authors opinions which made me feel like I had experienced each historic event first hand. Herodotus s writing style is unique, but in the appendix C he is criticized for sometimes being inaccurate and distorting historic facts, because he relied on people who can have faulty memories or sources of knowledge. Herodotus sometimes was not certain on some facts, but he did his best to rely on logic to make the best argument on what happened. For example, Herodotus argues that the Colchians are Egyptians. He argues this by first noting his opinion of their resemblance and then used his logic to show how they came from the army of Sesostris. He also points out that their whole culture and the way they did things were very similar to the Egyptians. Unfortunately, in the appendix Herodotus is called out for being wrong about his opinion of the Colchian s origin. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 16. Immigrants In The Philippines Today, Filipinos represent the 4th largest immigrant group in the United States by country of origin, after Mexico, India and China (Alchin, 2017). The Filipinos started immigrating to the United States for various reasons such as political and poverty. They were able to through trading ships and after the Spanish American War. Once here, they faced prejudice and discrimination, including in our own state, Washington. The first wave of immigrants from the Philippines to America was during the period when the country was under Spanish rule and formed part of the Spanish East Indies. People were migrating through the Spanish trading ships that were called Manila Galleons , these ran across the Pacific Ocean from Manila to the port of Acapulco. The ships carried things like silk, perfume, spices, and other goods from China to Mexico and California. In California seamen who had been forced to work for the Spanish, would migrate to North America. In 1763, Filipinos made their first permanent settlement in Louisiana, these Filipinos were called Manila Men (Alchin, 2017). Another wave was impacted by the Spanish American War. The Philippines came under the control of the United States of America in 1898 following the Spanish American War which lasted three and a half months on April 25, 1898 to August 12, 1898. The government has come up with a plan to attract 2,000 more residents over the next five years, to help grow the territory s economy. ( N.W.T. Aims to Attract 2,000 to Territory1 ) This plan seems to have very good promise since there is a lot to be attracted to in the Northwest Territories. Aside form the cold temperatures there is a surplus of job opening and offering, there is plenty of land and space, resources have yet to be exploited and as mentioned before there are the northern lights and plenty of adventurous activities. The government hopes that at least 20% of the 2000 residents will be students who leave the territory for post secondary education coming back to live and work. ( With Population Shrinking 1) The government also has hopes to improve its immigrant nominee program ( With Population Shrinking 1), which will help eliminate fly in/fly out workers. The potential for economic growth is very promising. In a time where a good portion of economies are taking a hit, this is the perfect opportunity for people to move and take advantage of the Northwest territories small population and weak economy. The children are taught at home, by either the parents or a teacher that comes to the home a few times a week, or every day like normal schooling. Children being schooled at home get many options when learning, and also get to grow around the home. Homeschooling is a smart idea for parents to consider for their kids because of different socioeconomic factors in the child s life, keeps the child safer, and gives them more opportunity to use religious instruction in what they are learning. When parents are choosing to homeschool, or put their children in public schools they look at the different socioeconomic factors in their lives. These socio economic problems help in the decision to homeschool their children. Depending on how many kids are living in the home, it may be easier to homeschool their kids instead of on sending them to public school. homeschooled students were more likely than public or private schooled students who are living in families with three or more children (Princiotta and Bielick, Web). Parents that are living with three or more children, it is easier for the parents to school from the home instead of sending them all to public school. Regarding the understanding of human nature, The American founders accepted the traditional view that human nature is fallen. But they did not let this stifle their hopes for self government (1). I believe that our Founding Fathers understood the allure of power that any individual might have, but also the strength of it s citizenry in leading the country in the right direction. Another principle that our Founding Fathers understood was that an overly energetic government was not necessarily a good government. This often led to too much power being put in the hands of too few people. ...Jefferson ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Sports Agents Essay Sports Agents People have been entertained by sport since before the gladiators in the Roman Coliseum. In the 20th century, the publics passion for sport consumes more and more of their free time. As sports figures became internationally recognized, athletes began to realize their need for professional representation. Thus, sports agents were born. The field of sports agents has grown since then into an enormous field. Agents now deal with every aspect of an athlete s life. Agents can be considered professional mangers who find the best place for their client s talent. Sports Agents have not been around for a long time. Until the 1970 s, very few players had agents because teams would not deal with agents (Masteralexis, 244). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This system bound players to teams and allowed owners to depress salaries of players. The second factor was the development of competing leagues. Competing leagues such as the American Football League, the American Baseball Association, the World Hockey Association, and the United States Football League offered an alternative to athletes (Masteralexis, 246). These leagues offered higher salaries to induce players to move from their original teams. When players left a team to for more money, it also increased the salaries of players who stayed on the team. Agents played a crucial role in determining what was best for athletes, and which league they should choose. The third reason for the growth of Sports Agency is the evolution of players associations. The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) led the move away from informal, powerless associations to true labor organizations that took part in collective bargaining (Masteralexis, 246). This organized a central association to bargain for players income, post career income, tax breaks, and others. The union also made it possible for players to fight, or even strike to get what they wanted. One of the largest accomplishments of the MLBPA was establishing free agency. This was able to happen when Major League Baseball and the MLBPA went through negotiations and the MLBPA won the right to labor grievance arbitration. Under this arbitration the MLBPA achieved free agency. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There he met Harriet Tubman, the conductor, and the rest of her sore footed but hopeful passengers who were ready to start the long, treacherous journey to freedom on the Underground Railroad. Harriet Tubman, later called Moses , was a runaway slave who came back to her people and helped over 300 of them gain freedom. Harriet Tubman was born in Maryland to her slave parents Harriet Green and Ben Ross in 1822. Her mother worked as a cook for the Brodess family and her father was a skilled woodsman who managed the timber work on the Thompson s plantation (Harriet Tubman par. 2). Because her mother was so busy in the kitchen, Harriet cared for her younger siblings, till she reached the age of six. When she was six, Brodess hired her out to be a nurse maid to Miss Susan. She was told to watch the baby while it slept but when the baby woke up and cried she was whipped. Her next job was to work for a planter named James Cook. She was assigned to checking the musket traps, even after she contracted measles. Sadly, she got so ill she was sent back to Brodess were her mother nursed her back to health. • 24. Ticks Use Several Ways For Locate Hosts Ticks use several ways to locate hosts. Some quest, i.e. they crawl onto vegetation and wait for passing hosts which they grab onto using their front legs, then crawl on the host until they find a suitable site to attach and feed (Walker et al., 2003). The tick s questing behaviour is related to host kairomones which are residues rubbed off host body onto vegetation (Terassini et al., 2010). Ticks become akinetic upon encountering residues of kairomones (Carroll, 1998). As Artiodactyla and Peryssodactyla usually frequent the same trails (Emmons and Feer, 1997), ticks waiting on these positions have a chance of successfully encountering the host (Carroll, 2003). Arrestment pheromones present in cast larval skins, tick faecal droppings and tick body exudates also induce akinetic (Sonenshine and Roe, 2014). These two pheromones result in clustering of ticks. The arrestment pheromones are interspecies specific, i.e Ornithodoros moubata arrestment pheromones induce ceasation of movement in O. tholozani (Sonenshine, 2004). This behaviour is also expressed between some different genera (Sonenshine and Roe, 2014). Adult ticks of Amblyomma and Hyalomma are exophilic, i.e. they hunt for a nearby host by running across the ground (Walker et al., 2003). Argasids and many Ixodes species are endophilic, i.e. they spent their life time in a host s nest from where they attach to available host. A few species of ticks have adapted to human dwellings, e.g. Rhipicephalus sanguineus. These feed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. Mandatory Government Spending In The United States The government is trying to cut down on their government spending by changing the way they do the census. As of now, they are spending 17 billion dollars on the preparation and the actual census. With their new plan, they plan to save 5 billion dollars. They are experimenting in L.A. right now. The plan is to send several notices to the citizens that tells them to go online and ask them questions about the owner and the amount of people living in each home. However, Blumerman, the director of the decennial census, expects 60,000 out of 225,000 homes not to respond. These homes will get a worker from the census sent to them. They are experimenting on L.A. now to see if there is any way to save money with a different process. The census is done every ten years. The government counts the population in each state to see if they need to add or subtract a seat in the House of Representatives. This allows the people to be represented equally based on their state. Also the government is going to save a lot of money with their new techniques. This is okay because it isn t one of the mandatory spendings that the government has. It would be a discretionary spending because it isn t entitlement programs. They will save money by finding new routes with the post office which is one of the biggest government corporations. They will also try to limit going to abandon houses. However with the prices going down, it may cause firing or census employees. This will be hard because it is difficult to hire and fire government officials. Also with this new experiment, all people who speak a different language will be able to be easily represented. This will hopefully allow the house to be more accurate on who they are representing. The more diverse the house is the more opinions and views the government gets to see. This is what democracy is all about. The census is under the leadership of the department of commerce. This means it is an umbrella style because the department of commerce branches off to the U.S. census bureau, so it s not the number one focus. Hopefully with these new experiments gerrymandering will also be done less often. The new plan for the census will not only decrease government spending, but it will also help with ... M. Freedman s idea was to apply the free market to the education system and allow the schools to compete for the kids business. Unlike accountability, which was watered down after collaborating work with unions, charters are rarely unionized. School choice got its impetus from the poor minorities because they wanted better schools, while accountability was supported by businesses. In Milwaukie during 1990s, local leaders mobilized disgruntled parents that were dissatisfied with their education system resulting in the adoption school choice. When accountability was adopted, there was a coalition of support, however choice was opposed on all fronts by the teachers unions, NAACP, and Democrats. Unlike accountability adopted nationwide, choice was disproportionately opposed at the state and local level. Reformers where up against teachers unions and districts who avidly opposed choice. When opposition could not stop choice, they would try to help created the structure by implementing ceilings/caps, making sure that charters did not get as much money as public schools, and forcing charters to build their own buildings. These male patients are lifeless human beings who fear the institution and its ruler, Big Nurse Ratched. Nurse Ratched runs the ward like an army prison camp with harsh and motorized precision. As McMurphy continues to defy Nurse Ratched and her rules by creating a basketball team, gambling even more, and annoying Nurse Ratched, the inmates begin to see his actions as divine. This proves he resembles Jesus Christ. He brings goodness into the ward to confront the evil set by the hospital. George Boyd describes McMurphy s purpose when he says, he brings the promise of spiritual renewal to his disciples (126). McMurphy clearly shows this when he repairs Chief Bromden and convinces him to speak again. The Chief stops talking and acts deaf because he fears the society and its rules. McMurphy gives him a new life and strength to overcome his fear and to challenge the rules of the ward and Nurse Ratched. Another noteworthy example of spiritual renewal occurs when McMurphy takes twelve inmates on a fishing trip. He creates a sense of freedom and strength within the inmates by the trip. The resemblance to the twelve disciples of Christ is no coincidence. Just as Christ, McMurphy gives his disciples a new life to live and a bright outlook for the future. The inmates grow stronger and lose their weaknesses they are still afraid to take the initiative and challenge Nurse Ratched and look to McMurphy to solve their problems. • 33. The Theme Of Love In Lin Manuel Miranda s Its Quiet Uptown The theme of grief, especially in the context of losing a loved one is always a deep and emotional topic to write about. Many writers have attempted to find the words to express how the family of a lost loved one feels in the aftermath of such a terrible tragedy, but often they fail to fully grasp the emotion in their writing. Lin Manuel Miranda is not one of these writers. In his song, It s Quiet Uptown, from Hamilton, he beautifully portrays what its like trying to continue after losing someone one has never imagined having to let go. The song describes the life of Alexander Hamilton and his wife Eliza attempting to cope with the death of their eldest son, Philip. The beautiful language of the song and the vivid imagery in the lyrics clearly convey the emotions one feels after the sudden loss of a loved one and what it s like to watch people go through such a terrible time. The beautiful music and the emotion with which it is preformed provide an excellent medium through which to convey this message. The depth of Hamilton s grief is wonderfully portrayed in this piece of art. The first instance of this imagery is in the first lines. Angelica sings, There are moments that the words don t reach, There is suffering to terrible to name, You hold your child as tight as you can, And push away the unimaginable. These lines paint the perfect picture of what it is like to watch a loved one die, especially a child. As one sits there, watching as someone they love takes their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
