Communism In Albania Research Paper
According to the Dictionary.com, communism is defined as a system of social organization in which
all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self
perpetuating political party. Communism was the form of the government in Albania until 1992. As
Albania transitioned from communism to democracy, communism has caused the poverty, which is
one of the biggest struggle Albania has ever faced. Although the government changed its form to
democracy, the influences of Communism still remain causing the nation to suffer from its unstable
economy and poverty.
Ever since Communism ended after the election in 1992, Albania has been struggling to recover its
economic status. Unlike the past years, where all the jobs were provided for citizens by the
government, now people have to look for their own jobs. Teaching people to be independent from the
government and to find out what they are going to do for the rest of their life was a struggle which still
continues today. As reported in the Trading Economics, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is also the country many people do not pay attention to. However, Albanians were the ones who
were determined to change the government to the right form where more voices can be heard, even if
their way to do it risked their life. Even though at this point, transitioning the form of government can
be seen as a bad idea, it was the choice for citizens to gain more rights. Today in Albania, people
became more free to express their own feelings and opinions. According to Freedom House, Albania
gained three (one being best, seven being the worst) in civil liberties in this year. It is the result of
great improvements compared to the year of 1998, when Albania scored five in the same category. As
they gained more freedom as a citizen, it seems like that the country is also recovering from the debris
of the communism with a significant

Why White Killer Whales
Scientists are now worried after a group of killer whales appeared in a group in the Northern part of
the Pacific Ocean. This whale belongs to the dolphin family, and is considered the largest in that
family. The whale is also known as orca and has teeth. Most of them feed on diverse diet, but
individual whales have their own prey. There are those who feed on fish, while others hunt for
dolphins and seals. They are known as apex predators because no animal can dare to prey on them.
They are cosmopolitan and can be found on any ocean in the world.
These whales are social and live together in matrilineal groups. They are known because of the
sophisticated hunting skills which is common to their whole group. This article will explain why white

Types of killer whales There are three types of killer whales that are available on major oceans in the
world including:
Resident: They are mostly seen in Northern pacific coastal waters. They feed exclusively on fish. They
live cohesively in groups. The female whales in this group have dorsal fins that end up in a corner.
They are mostly seen in Washington and British Columbia areas.
Transient This type of white killer whales feed exclusively on marine mammals. Generally, they travel
in groups of six animals and have tight family bonds. Their female counterparts have triangular dorsal
fins that are pointed.
Offshore This is a killer whale that was discovered in the North east pacific region in 1988. They feed
exclusively on the schooling fish.
Scientists have embarked on research to ascertain the inbreeding of this mysterious whale. This will
help to prepare for the invisible threat posed by these whales. This predator has not listed as one of the
endangered ocean species. These predators are dangerous even to human life.

Texas Governors Are Not As Powerful As Many People Think
Texas governors are not as powerful as some people think. Their personality and appearance matter
the most when being considered for a vote. The governor is seen the most rather the other officials,
which is why their personality and appearance is so important. Governors used to be able to serve a 2
year term but that changed in 1974. The service term increased by 2 years. Rick Perry was elected in
2000 and is Texas longest serving governor. To be an eligible candidate the aspiring governor should
be at least 30 years of age. Usually, the governor is a white, mid age, male. Over time things changed
when Miriam Ferguson and Ann Richards were elected. To be a candidate you must also be a U.S.
citizen and at least lived in the state 5 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Miriam Ferguson was the first female governor of Texas. She served two terms in 1927 and 1935. She
decided to run after her husband s impeachment and conviction. Her slogan for the first election s
campaign was Me for Ma, and I Ain t Got a Durned Thing Against Pa. She beat her opponent with
58.9 percent of votes. In the second election she won with 61.6 percent of the votes. Houstonians may
know her for her signature on the Texas House Bill 194. This particular law was important for the
University of Houston. In 1933, the University was established as a four year institute. During Miriam
s second an amendment was passed to disable the governor to issue pardons. Within the two terms that
Miriam served, she issued about 4000 pardons to the violators of the prohibition law.
Ann Richards was the second female Texas governor. Unlike Miriam Ferguson she didn t serve two
terms. Although, she ran for a second term she lost to George W. Bush. During Ann s governorship
she introduced lottery tickets to Texas. She bought the first lottery in May of 1992 near Austin. The
lottery revenue was supposed to enhance the finances for schools. Ann Richards was also known for
her anti homosexual mentality. She signed a law that made homosexuality illegal. Ann Richards is also
recognized for appointing the first non white commission head. Hispanic, Lena Guerrero was
appointed as the head of the Texas Railroad Commission.

Essay about Spanish Resistance to Napoleon
Napoleon and the Spanish Resistance
Throughout time, the military has been considered one of the key features in a civilization. It has been
considered the heart and soul of many countries and empires and has been the center of many cultures.
Throughout history we have seen many military leaders and military powers. We have seen military
techniques and technology change as we progress. Our schools are filled with legends of great war
heroes and hard fought battles. One such hero is Napoleon Bonaparte, perhaps one of the greatest
generals who ever lived. In his adventures and conquest, as general of the French army, he warred
against many lands. These included Spain, in which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some guerillas will even use crowds to conceal themselves, called urban guerillas. Urban guerillas
have to rely heavily on support from the citizens. Guerilla warfare basically relies on one standard.
The element of surprise. Often, guerillas will not be in uniform and carry just a concealed weapon. By
doing this it helps the guerillas startle the enemy and catch them off guard, giving them the clear cut
advantage. Also, the enemy is always in a state of fear, never knowing when or where these guerillas
could pop out and attack. They are constantly on watch and they tire easily. By using guerilla warfare,
forces are able to lower they re casualties while increasing their opponents, even if they are winning
cheap. Because they often time use cowardly tactics, guerillas are usually considered terrorists by their
opponents. Sometimes however, this can be true. Guerillas in some cases have used propaganda, or
started revolts to win over their cause. Instead of trying to defeat their enemy, they try to create chaos,
hoping to drive their enemy out. Massive riots and sabotage are not at all uncommon in guerilla wars.
All in all, guerilla warfare is the use of unconventional war tactics used against enemies that follow
these conventional laws.
Now that we have cleared that up, lets move to the actual events that took place. Spanish resistance
was mainly part of the Peninsular War, or as some call it, Napoleon s

Voter Id And The United States
Voter ID Discrimination The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or
abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of
servitude. The Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and one of the most important
when it comes to voting in the United States of America. This Amendment was ratified on February 3,
1870 after the civil war and was met by a flurry of great full voters and scornful American citizens.
Racism has been a problem in America since its founding and, despite common misconception, is still
a serious issue today. With the 2016 elections just around the corner it s important we has American
recognize the issue of voter ID discrimination and how it is not only going directly against the
constitution but also unethical and immoral in our modern American society.
While the main purpose for voter ID is to eliminate fraud and corruption in the American voting
system, it has brought with it consequences that discourage and even prohibit eligible voters to vote.
The 2012 election, a vast number of state required a government issued photo ID. Even the state
Indiana required this even though state GOP officials couldn t provide a single instance of a voter
committing the type of fraud the new ID law was supposed to stop (Berman). Surprisingly, in
Wisconsin, they will only except ID s containing a current address, birth date, signature and two year
expiration date that so far

Privacy And Freedom From Government Intrusion
Although people in the United States are entitled to privacy and freedom from government intrusion,
there is a limit to that privacy. State or federal police officers are allowed, where justified, to search
your premises, car, or other property in order to look for and seize illegal items, stolen goods or
evidence of a crime. There are certain rules that the police must follow when engaging in searches and
seizures (FindLaw, 2014). Not every search, seizure, or arrest must be made pursuant to a lawfully
executed warrant. The Supreme Court has ruled that warrantless police conduct may comply with the
Fourth Amendment so long as it is reasonable under the circumstances (FindLaw, 2014). First, this
paper explains what the Fourth Amendment of the Bill of Rights means. Second, this paper gives
examples of court cases concerning search and seizure of vehicles and the Fourth Amendment. Third,
this paper examines the Richmond VA 2nd Precinct Police Departments policies, procedures, and
practice of conducting vehicle searches. This paper examines the Richmond, VA 2nd precincts policies
for vehicle trunk searches, searches that are conducted after the driver has being arrested, searches on
impounded vehicles, searches on abandoned vehicles, and searches of vehicle passenger s
compartments and containers. Of interest will be if their policies and procedures or practice complies
with constitutional provisions of search and seizure.

Heathcliff Injustice
The theme that will take the limelight in this paper will the concepts of injustice and justice,
concentrating around the character of Heathcliff. This interesting individual is quite unique, coming

comes to his new stay at Wuthering Heights, he is faced with a certain type of injustice from the blood
son of Heathcliff s adoptive father, Hindley. Taking a dislike to Heathcliff and treats him so. This is
the first form of injustice, bringing him into a hard shell of sorts that makes him blunt against his

Yeast Glycolysis Lab Report
I believe that one factor that contributes to the rate of glucose consumption and respiration in yeast is
the glycemic index of the added sugar or sugar substitute. I have drawn these conclusions based on the
data collected by my classmates and I in addition to my prior knowledge of glycolysis.
During the testing process, some novel treatments were experimented with, including the replacement
of sugar in the experiment with maple syrup, honey, and an artificial sweetener. Because these sugar
replacements are different types of sweeteners, they have a difference in glycemic index. The
glycemic index of a food is a number that represents the number of carbohydrates in a food and how
these carbohydrates affects a person blood glucose level. A higher glycemic index means the food can
be metabolized faster. Basically, glycemic index is a representation of how easily a cell can metabolize
the sugar found in a food into glucose. Glucose can then, in turn, be converted to pyruvate through the
process of glycolysis. Pyruvate is then metabolized into acetaldehyde, and this metabolization gives
off a byproduct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a baseline, the sugar used in the original experiment was basic table sugar, composed mostly of
sucrose. Sucrose has a glycemic index of 68. However, the sugar substitutes have different glycemic
indexes. Maple syrup has a GI of 54, honey has a GI of 50, and the artificial sweetener is mostly
comprised of dextrose, which has a GI of 100. As you can see in the graph, the trend lines show that
honey had the lowest amount of collected CO2, then the maple syrup and sugar are fairly close
together, and then that the artificial sweetener experiment produced much more CO2 than any of the
others, and appears to be climbing at a more aggressive rate. This makes sense, because the artificial
sweetener had the highest glycemic index of any of the sugar

Increase And Decrease When Personal Income Tax Rates
14 2. a. Decrease. When personal income tax rate increases, stockholders would want the firm to
retain its earnings, so it could reinvest them. This is so because an increase in personal taxes would
apply to the taxes that stockholders have to pay on their income from dividends.
b. Increase. The more rapid that depreciation can occur, the larger the cash flows that stockholders can
receive. This increased cash flow should lead to an increase in the payout ratios for the stockholders.
c. Decrease. An increase in interest rates would create a higher balance in retained earnings. Though
this could lead to an increase in payout ratio, it is often likely that the ratio will decrease.
d. Decrease. If the rise in corporate profits is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Companies can use the residual model to set a target cash distribution level and then divide the
distribution into a dividend component and a repurchase component (Ehrhardt Brigham, 2017, p. 591).
This will lead to a decrease in the number of outstanding shares and will cause the dividend to
continue to grow. The company has more flexibility in adjusting the total distribution than it would if
the entire distribution were in the form of cash dividends, because repurchases can be varied from year
to year without giving adverse signals (Ehrhardt Brigham, 2017, p. 591). Thus, the growth of the
dividends can be less impacted by the cash inflow of the company because in years with less cash
inflow, the company can reduce the amount of stocks that it repurchases instead of having a large
fluctuation in the dividends. These are two of the several reasons why firms are motivated to
repurchase stock instead of using a cash dividend.
2. There is a tradeoff when deciding to pay dividends or retain the free cash flow. This is particularly
important when there are floatation costs to consider. If flotation costs are high, then the required
return on new equity, re, will be well above the required return on internally generated equity, rs,
making it better to set a low payout ratio and to finance through retention rather than through the

Descriptive Essay About Vacations
Our vacation started with what seemed like a week of packing when in reality it was only a day or
two. We had been thinking of and planning our trip to Yellowstone for quite a while. We were all
excited for the trip to come. It started with a long drive through Nebraska stopping at night to set up
camp and get some sleep. We were all exhausted and slept like rocks. The next morning we made
breakfast and got to driving again. As always, we stopped at various parks and rest stops to get out and
look around. That afternoon we were in dire need of showers and couldn t seem to find a campsite that
offered showers. We searched through what seemed like a thousand campgrounds. My mom and I had
pretty much given up looking at this point and were ready to resort to bucket baths. When we pulled
into the campsite it turned out to be a rather pleasant campground. There was plenty of privacy, flat
ground, trees, and of course a shower. My mom and I also were pleasantly surprised to find that the
showers were also free. While there was still daylight. We got a fire going set up our tents and looked
around a bit. When we were finally ready we all went and bathed in the glorious creation of soap and
hot running water cascading on our heads and bodies. The next day we got up, packed up our stuff,
and started on our way to our next destination. Rocky Mountain National Park. On our way there we
stopped in a little town for lunch and ate about two loaves of bread in sandwiches. As it started

Changes That Affect the Economic Environment in Business
Introduction
For this task I shall explain the changes in the economic environment on the business. This may
include changes within the following,
Business cycle
Inflation
Unemployment
International trade
The business that that I will be looking at is Whitbread who own Premier Inn and Costa coffee. I will
be explaining within this task how the above may affect Whitbread and its two companies Costa and
Premier inn whether it is for the better or worse.
Business cycle
When looking at a graph of a business cycle we can expect to see increases and falls in production,
income and expenditure of a company over time. The economy of the U.K, moves from boom to
recession over time and these changes within the economy have major ... Show more content on

This will also affect trade as If the UK has higher inflation than competitor countries (which it isn t
now, but it has been for a lot of the last few decades) then UK prices gradually rise above imported
prices. More imports are bought, so demand leaks out of the country and leaves UK businesses in a
weak position such as Premier inn and Costa Coffee so overall inflation is not a good thing if it does
occur and will have a negative effect on Whitbread s businesses.
Unemployment
High unemployment rates especially within the countries that Whitbread operate their businesses,
Costs and Premier inn can have a great effect on business operations as high unemployment will mean
that more people will be relying on benefits for survival and as a result will be spending less, this
would in turn affect businesses such as Premier inn and costa coffee as no one will be using their
products and services which will then effect profits which would mean that they would have to halt
growth and cut staff which are all negative factors as a result. This means when Whitbread are
planning on expanding within different countries they will carefully have to look at these factors.
Since consumers have lower confidence in the strength of the economy and less to spend, demand for
products and services drops, and

Evolution Of Racism In America
In Europe and the United States the struggle against racism has progressed slowly and it is becoming
less evident. With organizations such as Youth Against Racism in Europe, and simply having a black
and white able to be friends, racism is beginning to decrease. It has only been fifty years or so since
America s public schools were ordered to become integrated, and we sure have come a long way since
then.
The evolution of racism began with the slave trade among Europe, North America and Africa. The
new world colonists provided a market for slavery. Europeans went to Africa and kidnapped or bought
blacks, and then went to the developing Americas where they sold them as slaves. On their voyages
from Africa to America the blacks were treated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In actuality, indigenous people had been living there with their own religions, customs, and cultures
for thousands of years. The Europeans persecuted, killed them and tried to convert them to
Christianity. They justified this inhumane behavior through nationalism. These were racist acts
because the reason they killed the Native Americans was because they were not like themselves. Four
European countries all participated in the slave trade, which was fueled by nationalism. They were
Spain, Britain, France, and Denmark. They believed that they had the right to conquer others and
subjugate them. They thought that their religions were invalid, and that there culture and customs were
those of heathens, people who do not believe in God. The Europeans forced their national values and
their religion on the indigenous peoples. This nationalism fueled Imperialism, the spread of their
countries cultures on others by force. The cost of this Imperialism was in turn paid for with racism
demonstrated by the kidnapping of blacks who were only seen as trade items and not human brings.
This Imperialism went on until the Monroe Doctrine in 1823, which called for an end to European
intervention in the Americas, though slavery continued until

The Causes of Muscoskeletal Pain
Summary From the mid 1980 s to present, the wealth of technology and automation has began to take
a toll on public health the work and home environments are inundated with technologies that require
little to no physical activity such as long commutes, the use of personal computers, television and
video games. Today more people work in offices, have longer work hours and are physically inactive.
This new environment produces unhealthy and non functional people and increased incidence of
injury. Past mandatory activities such as physically educated ar being cut from schools, consequently
people are less active and are no longer spending as much of their free time engaged in physical
activity. In 1985 the international obesity task force deemed the presidence of obesity an epidemic.
Today approx one third of adults are estimated to be obese, this carries over to the adolescent
population with 18 percent of adulenance and teenagers considered overweight. When working with
todays typical client and athletes health and fitness professionals must take special consideration when
designing exercise programmes. An integrated approach should be used to create a safe programme
that consider the functional capacity for each individual person. They must address factor such as;
appropriate forms of flexibility, increasing strength a neuromuscular control and training in different
types of environments. These are the bases for using corrective exercise and the Nasm s corrective

By the late 1920s, however, those employing only optical and electronic technologies were being

work on mechanical dependent systems was crucial in the development of fully electronic television.
American family watching TV, 1958 The first time images were transmitted electrically were via early
mechanical fax machines, including the pan telegraph, developed in the late 1800s. The concept of
electrically powered transmission of television images in motion was first sketched in 1878 as the
telephonoscope, shortly after the invention of the telephone. At the time, it was imagined by early
science fiction authors, that someday that light could be transmitted over wires, as sounds were. The
idea of using scanning to transmit images was put to actual practical use in 1881 in the pan telegraph,
through the use of a pendulum based scanning mechanism. From this period forward, scanning in one
form or another has been used in nearly every image transmission technology to date, including
television. This is the concept of rasterization , the process of converting a visual image into a stream
of electrical pulses. In 1884 Paul Gottlieb Nipkow, a 20 year old university student in Germany,

John Calvin Influence
For the vast majority of European history, the Catholic Church has maintained its power as the
definitive overseer of the country and withstood a long lasting reign up until the early 1500 s due to
Protestant reformer, John Calvin. Europe quickly began to shift away from the overwhelming

Calvin was able to accumulate, record a new doctrine, and piece together a tangible theology for what
became the new defining faith within Europe; his personal branch of Protestantism, Calvinism.
According to the text, no reformer prior to to Calvin had expounded on the doctrines, organization s,
history, and practices of Christianity in such a systematic, logical, and coherent manner (Hunt, Martin,
Rosenwein, Smith 453). Calvinism focuses on five main ideologies; total depravity, unconditional
election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of the saints. However, probably the
most controversial doctrine Calvin introduced was predestination; Calvin argued that God had
ordained every man, woman, and child to salvation or damnation, even before the creation. Thus, in
theology, God saved the only a select few (Hunt, Martin, Rosenwein, Smith 453). The idea that
humans lacked free will and that their major life events were predetermined by God was a radically

Techniques Used In The Film Full Metal Jacket
You climb like old people fuck Private Pyle , Well any fucking time sweetheart! These two quotes
from the movie Full Metal Jacket are common techniques that most directors of war genre films use to
either grasp the attention of the audience or emphasize the scrounginess of war. War in many cases
takes the perception of life out of many soldiers. When soldiers return home, they are desensitized to
killing. War genre films use fast cutting scenes, captivating descriptions of scenery , and aggressive
degrading language to promote the negative connotations of war.
Like many war films, fury doesn t stray far from the norm. The director uses aggressive and vulgar
language, combined with fast cutting and high paced shooting scenes, to convey many messages to us

The war tried to kill us in the spring. As grass greened the plains of Nineveh and the weather warmed,

The Perspectives Of Black Women And Girls Of Darker Skin
In the documentary, the perspectives of black women and girls of darker skin was examined along
with the perceived struggles surrounding their existence within the black community. One of the main
interviewees was that of an 8 year old dark complexion girl was noted as saying I don t like to be
called black. The little girl spoke of feeling inferior due to her dark skin. On the opposing end, a girl in
the same age bracket but of a lighter complexion also shred the same feelings of sadness as she was

challenges these women and girls face, paired with the manner in which the documentary goes

ASB 4413 INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC MANAGMENT
A Report Analysis on the Circular Economy using innovative ideas and different case studies of
manufacturing and service sector.
CONTENTS
Executive summary
Introduction
Definition
A Circular economy as a regenerative system in which resource input and waste, emission, and energy
leakage are minimized by slowing, closing, and narrowing material and energy loops. This can be
achieved through long lasting design, maintenance, repair, reuse, remanufacturing, refurbishing, and
recycling. (Martin Geissdoerfer a, 2017)
Concept
We can state that in Circular economy utilizing old merchandise and utilizing crude material which is
as waste, and it can be replicated and reused by reusing the item by utilizing the imaginative thoughts
remembering that it doesn t influence the earth. This will help everyone to spare cash and it will give
steady employment to individuals to work more in up and coming future. As we probably are aware
we are in the new time of the business world as individuals are presently moving from paper cash to
plastic cash and it is the change time frame for the world economy. Along these lines, same applies to
our items as they require some change on the grounds that the entire world is moving towards the
cutting edge world. Looking beyond the current [take, make and dispose] extractive industrial model,
the circular economy is restorative and regenerative by design . (1.macarthur, 2017) The circular
economy can be explained as using raw materials, recycle it and use new technologies to make more
efficient so that our product can be sustained for long period of time. While we are performing these
task, we can generate more jobs and we require more employees as we are in producing phase, so we
need more and more employees to perform the job. This sector works perfectly because we are
recycling the waste and reproducing it by using different ideas, procedures and technologies to make
our product perfect. (1.macarthur, 2017)

What Does Ted Mean To Me
They say to not judge a book by its cover, but don t we all? I mean think about it, you see a raggedy
dog on the street and automatically thing it s got rabies or something. Even though in reality it just
escaped its owners home. I have something like this, my teddy bear, his name is Mr. Ted. Now Mr.
Ted is not that cute anymore but he helps me sleep, he s been through a lot with me, and I got him
from my great grandmother. Ted has a special meaning to me because he helps me get to sleep. Even
though I may be too old for a stuffed animal, I sometimes need him. He is shockingly still super soft
and loveable. I am sometimes too worried to go to sleep, there s Ted. I had an emotional day, Ted. Say
I am in a fight with my best friend, once again there s Ted. I rely on Ted to get me to sleep when I can

Mobile Operating Systems Should Be Responsible For...
Introduction
Nowadays, we are currently in the era of technology and people increasingly use technology in a day
to day activity, for instance, smart watch, mobile application, GPS or in vehicle infotainment.
Therefore, there are a lot of interactions stemming from those applications towards users, which notify
them when applications need to convey the message. In this research, we argue that mobile operating
system should be responsible for managing user attention as a resource. As the current operating
system uses permission based models, which enables application to incessantly interrupt users and
then allow users to make decision whether they would like to deny or not based on their circumstance.
The operating system should use their valuable resource, in which OS incorporates with diverse kinds
of applications and information on mobile s users, to predict the right decision of each interaction
based on the user s current activity. However, there are many key challenges in implementing this
notion as well, which will be expounded in this paper.
Overview
According to Lee, Flinn Noble (2015), managing user attention as a resource ought to be the role of
operating system, however, it is essential to deliver the appropriate input to the OS in order to operate
a good decision. One of the important aspects mentioned in Lee, Flinn Noble (2015) is that the domain

The Battle Of The Imperial System
Minae Mizumura argue in Who Wants to Marry an Emperor that being married to an emperor is a fool
s errand; women are the ideal candidates of an noble emperor. Despite her trivial attacks on male
emperors, men are undoubtedly far superior in ruling justified by their extension back to antiquity
rulers, capability, and traditional essence. The imperial system has extended across thousands of years
of Japanese history; it s pitiful to say that it ll come to a closing fairly soon. The imperial system
demands a male to be the successor of the emperor, which is the responsibility of the empress to
supply. When newborns that are produced aren t male, the imperial system draws closer to
impairment. As degrading as it may sound, a women s entirety is reduced to a womb . Why would you
want to marry into a life so demeaning? Why are male constituted as the sole heir of the throne of an
emperor? What happens when imperialism is gone? Mizumura; a Japanese Novelist, argues that no
sane woman would marry an emperor, and that times have changed, women can easily dictate the role
of an emperor. Mizumura is a fan of the imperial system; she wants to see Japan flourish as a part of
imperialism. Nonetheless, she doesn t agree with how women are handled when being affiliated with
the future emperors. Noteworthy women are being reduced to a body for fertility, which is wrong on
all occasions. Mizumura also disagrees with male being the sole heirs. Male successors acquiring the

Science And The Art Of Science
A couple of years ago my daughter, who will graduate with a degree in biology from UC Santa Cruz
this June, shared a pivotal quote with me. The quote, by nature philosopher Vladimir Nabokov, states,
There is a high ridge where the mountainside of scientific knowledge joins the opposite slope of
artistic imagination; where precision of poetry and the art of science can meet. She said it reminded
her of all the years she watched me with my students, exploring and healing wild places. This was,
and is, one of the most profound compliments I have ever received. There is a multitude of ways to
approach teaching students about our Earth, some technical, some artistic, some spiritual, but to effect
lasting change, one has to touch on all three. Throughout my 23 years as an environmental educator, I
have often said my true goal is to guide students toward a love and desire to protect our planet and
each other the science they learn is a happy side effect. But side effects can have lasting effects, and
make no mistake the science is critical. Hooking students emotionally, though, opens their minds to
the science, to a desire to know the world around them, to a willingness to absorb the science because
it explains what they love. As educators, volunteers, and docents, our challenge is to create that high
ridge for students, to teach natural history in an imaginative, artistic way one that presents science as a
form of poetry from the heart. It is hard to ignore the cries

Outsourcing American Jobs Hurt U.s. Economy
Outsourcing American Jobs Hurt U.S. Economy Globalization is the integration of markets through
the cooperation of internalization, federal, and state governments with corporate companies to provide
low cost products. Subsequently, outsourcing is an essential part of this globalization. However, what
exactly is outsourcing? In its broadest sense, outsourcing is simply contracting out functions that had
been done in house a longtime U.S. practice ( Globalization: Threat or Opportunity ). When a U.S.
manufacture product, and buys material from an intermediate supplier from out of the country rather
than producing them in house, that is what is called outsourcing. Also, when U.S. corporation hires
outside contractor out of the country to do U.S. call center services for less labor cost that is
outsourcing. When a company deals out its operational task, such as payroll, accounting, and software
operations that is outsourcing. To get the clear understanding of outsourcing, I have interviewed IKEA
s U.S. Deputy Retail Country Manager Rob Olson about outsourcing Swedish goods. Olson stated that
IKEA s outsourcing utilizes the unique talents of different countries and their labor markets to increase
trade, which helps better allocate resources in their own countries while getting goods cheaper from
others. Today, there are massive numbers of people who think what started as a globalized extension
by sending some work outside, in fact, is creating uncertainties on structural

Printing Organs And The Human Body
Printing organs has been talked about and attempted to be used for close to 40 years. Printing organs
can help with advancements in many ways because it could help many of the people that are on the
Organ Transplanting List, not to mention it could save countless lives as well. If organs are able to be
printed and executed for procedures and transplants, then we could reduce hospital bills that increase
during the time that you are waiting for an organ. Therefore, making a large advancement in the
healthcare field. Organ printing can be very difficult and must be executed very carefully considering
that the body may reject the new organ. Three dimensional (3D) printing is a manufacturing method in
which objects are made by fusing or depositing materials such as plastic, metal, ceramics, powders,
liquids, or even living cells in layers to produce a 3D object (Ventola, October 2014). It is incredible to
see how such materials can be used to be put together to make a living organism that can be used in a
human s body. As a person ages this could be very useful because organs tend to fail and become weak
when a person gets older they could potentially be used to replace the failing organs. There are many
different types of 3D printing and they do all come with some positives but at the same time they
come with some negatives as well. There is selective laser printing, an SLS printer uses powdered
material as the substrate for printing new objects. A laser draws the shape of

In the beginning of time, there was nothing: not sky, nor sea, nor land, just the cosmic world. But, in
this world, there were immortals; these immortals were known as Star People. Where the Star People
lived, there was one rule and that was no one could go near the Hole In The Ground. The Hole In The
Ground was so deep you could not see the bottom of it and was so wide you could not see the other
side. There was a fence surrounding the Hole In The Ground made from posts set every fifteen feet
that had three chains running through them. It had taken the fence building crew a couple of centuries
to build the fence around the Hole In The Ground. The Hole In The Ground had been there for
generations no one knows how or where it originated from. The immortals of this world worshiped the

Stakeholders in Health Reform
When talking about healthcare reform, one must always think about the stakeholders. Stakeholders are
people and organizations that have a stake (interest) in what a healthcare organization does and that
could affect the healthcare organization (Olden, 2011). There are many different stakeholders in our
case study but we will focus on the main ones.
In Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Health Care Reform Act had a considerable impact on hospitals
and the health care system. Most community health centers were benefiting from coverage expansions
and safety net hospitals were struggling financially due to the fact that the state put more funding
towards insurance subsidies to expand coverage. Academic medical centers (AMC) were able to ...

In Massachutettes, health plans wanted to eliminate continuous open enrollment, assess the full annual
penalty for any significant period of continuous un insurance, impose waiting periods for certain
services and bar consumers from buying in the merged market if they had access to employer
sponsored coverage (case study). Doing these things, the insurance companies hoped to lower
premiums. Bill 2585 did pass but the law did not go as far as the insurance companies had hoped. It
only limited open enrollment in the merged market to twice a year in 2011 and once a year after that
(case study), which didn t really help much. Due to loss in the small market group in 2009, health
plans planned double digit premium increases in 2010 (case study), but the government stepped in and
put a stop to it. Even though the big name hospitals were driving up cost, the insurance companies
were seen as the bad guys. This caused local plans to record sizable operating losses for the first
quarter of 2010 and had to draw on reserves to cover expected losses resulting from the rate rollbacks
(case study). The insurance companies, especially the smaller ones, suffered financially.
The most important stakeholder in the healthcare policymaking is probably the patient. In
Massachusetts, the Act provided nearly universal health insurance coverage (case study). In 2009 the

Analysis Of The Book My Lie
Your Lie in April (四月は君の嘘 Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) is an anime series based on the manga by
Naoshi Arakawa. The plot follows Kōsei Arima, Kaori Miyazono and Tsubaki Sawabe as they face
teenage problems in love, music, and health.
This anime is by far the most depressing series I have ever watched. It s not just sad, it s depressing. It
s like watching a group of cursed kids going through traumatic events that will likely make them the
most miserable adults possible. The series started with the potential of being one of the great tear
jerkers, but they forgot how to give something resembling happiness to keep the story in the light. At
times, it feels like the story, and the characters, are about to emerge from the shadows, only to be
pulled back deeper, like a swimmer caught in the ocean desperately trying to reach shore as it s swept
further away by each crashing wave. Due to the constant dark nature of the story, I found the scenes
that should have been emotional just blended into the rest of the story, resulting in a story with very
little emotional impact. Although, the final two episodes were so emotional that they cut right through
all that sadness, which should tell you how fantastic they were. But two unforgettable episodes does
make an unforgettable series.
Much of the problem in Your Lie in April stems from the repeated content. Sometimes the beginning
of one episode is the same as the final minutes of the previous episode, with a few alterations. This

St John s Lutheran Church
St John s Lutheran Church, Ipswich, was built in 1961 after the designs of architect Karl Langer as the
primary church for the Lutheran community in Ipswich. It is home to a very active parish that
incorporates both modern and traditional rites.
The Ipswich region was home to the Yagara peoples during centuries previous to European
colonisation, and the area was occupied by the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul clans. (Community
Cultural Services Department, 2015).
The area was firstly explored by John Oxley shortly after the establishment of the penal settlement of
Moreton Bay, first in Redcliffe and now in current day Brisbane, in 1824. The area was developed
after 1826 with the establishment of Limestone Station, which became a common stop in the road
between Brisbane and the Darling Downs (Ipswich City Council, 2016a).
The region was open to free settlers in 1842, with the township of Ipswich established in 1843
(Ipswich City Council, 2016b). From that date onwards, the town competed in importance with
neighbouring Brisbane, its economy being based around the extraction of limestone and coal, as well
as farming. (Erbacher, 2016). In 1860, Ipswich was officially proclaimed a municipality and it became
a Customs port. Four years later, the state government decided to open the Ipswich railway workshops
as a pioneer technological centre, event which would result in the construction of the first railway line
of the state, opened in 1867 between Ipswich and Grandchester

Analysis Of Margaret Mead s Coming Of Age In Samoa
On August 31, 1925, Margaret Mead arrived in Pago Pago, American Samoa to conduct ethnographic
research on a particular problem. Prior to her arrival in American Samoa, Mead with the guidance of
her mentor Franz Boas, decided to investigate the lives of adolescent girls in Samoa as a focal point of
her research. Mead chose this subject matter due to her speculation that the period adolescence within
the United States during the 1920s was filled with stress and a period of turbulence; therefore, Mead
hypothesized that stress felt by American youth resulted from the American cultural environment.
Through her investigation adolescent girls, Mead aimed to test the validity of the claims of adolescent
behavior being a physiological determinant. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Coming of Age in Samoa received support from scholars within the field; however, dissonant voices

in this research paper I will focus on Margaret Mead s prominent work Coming of Age in Samoa: A
Psychological Study of Primitive Youth for Western Civilisation, while juxtaposing the work of Derek

Slavery was a dividing issue in mid nineteenth century America. The north was the closest slaves
could get to a safe place in America, and it was generally thought that the further south in America one
went the worse the conditions for slaves were. With slavery comes violence and with violence comes
guilt and to rid guilt there was religion. The cases of religion being a justifier were highlighted in
Frederick Douglass s Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave (1845). On the
other hand religion is considered a sort of saving grace for the slave protagonist, Tom, in Harriet
Beecher Stowe s Uncle Tom s Cabin (1852). Some Americans at the time saw religion as a reason not
to participate in the violence involved in slavery or even slavery itself while others saw it as the
opposite and used it to intensify their already terrible treatment of slaves. Uncle Tom s Cabin and
Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass highlight and describe these contrasting views in a way
that moves the reader into thinking just what the authors want there is no excuse for slavery even if ...

Although in Frederick Douglass s Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave
religion in slaves isn t as prominent compared to Uncle Tom s Cabin there is still some situations
where Douglass either doubts God or receives a small sense of hope from his faith. Douglass, aware of
how terrible slavery really is desperately asks God to save him, but then questions if there really is a
God, his conflicting emotions show just how difficult it is for a slave to believe and love a God while
they are subjected to the hottest hell of unending slavery, (40). Douglass further shows his conflicting
belief in God as he plans to escape and claims God is helping him. Even in a minimally religious slave
God still seems to be able to shine just a bit of hope down onto those who

Invasive Species And Its Effects On The Environment
All of our Earth s ecosystems are fragile. The transfer of energy and the interactions within them are
kept in frail balance by nature, similar to a tightrope walker balancing themself at a height of a few
hundred metres. What would happen if that tightrope walker lost his balance and fell? Similarly, what
would happen if a species arrives at a foreign ecosystem? If a non native species negatively affects its
environment, then it is considered an invasive, or alien, species. The human society is in crisis.
Invasive species cause the damage of the native environment. They are one of the causes for the
decline in the human economy. The invasive species also negatively hinder our health. This
phenomenon is occurring in a global scale, impacting Lake Victoria in Africa to the Oak Ridges
Moraine in Canada. People are trying to use different techniques to control the introduction of
invasive species and negate their impact on the native environment. Invasive species are a threat to
their foreign environment and should be prevented from causing further damage. When mentioning
the term invasive species , its definition is ambiguous when taken out of context. It is when a non
native organism, or group thereof, negatively influences its introduced environment. From this
definition, any species on Earth has the potential to be dubbed an invasive species (Environment
Yukon, 2014). Thus, an invasive species can be found anywhere on Earth, and has occurred the
moment following the

They say bull riding is the most dangerous sport on dirt. In a lot of ways they are right a lot of people
are injured and even killed. In bull riding they say its not if you get hurt its when and how bad. Bull
riding has been around for a long time for a few hundred years. Bull riding is an exciting and an
adrenaline pumping sport because of the history of bull riding, the way you are scored, and the safety
of the rider and the bull. Bull riding has a long rich history, it can be traced back all the way to the
early 1800 s. Cowboys would get together and have contests in things they normally do on a ranch
like roping and trying to break horses, but you didn t have to get on the back of a ... Show more

A bull rider s basic gear he uses is a helmet, vest, rope, bell, and chaps. The helmet and vest are used
for protection, the rope is what you tie on the bull and what you use to hang on with, the bell goes on
the bottom of the rope so when you fall off the rope does to ita also agitates the bull and makes him
buck harder, and the chaps are just for looks. In bull riding to even be scored you must stay on for 8
seconds, which is a lot harder than it may seem. People think well its only 8 seconds how hard can
that be well there is one thing you have to keep in mind you are getting strapped on to 2,000 pounds of
pure muscle that wants you off it s back so yeah its alot harder than it seems. In bull riding half of
your score comes from how well you demonstrate control and correct body position as you matche the
movements of the bull without losing his seat and the other comes from how rank the bull is rank is
how hard the bull is to ride. If you manage to spur the bull during your quick ride then you could be
awarded extra points. If at any time you touch the bull with your free hand you are automatically
disqualified. You are scored by four judges two of the judges score your performance from 1 25 the
other two score the bull on how hard he was to ride from 1 25 then they all all the scores up and that s
your score and, the maximum score you can get is 100 being a perfect ride. Only one man in

people are usually interested in:

This person is likely to have access to a great deal of information of New York Census.
To get a brief idea of the architecture style and trends at the time the building was constructed, it is
possible to consult the Art and Architecture section of a library. For example, the New York Public
Library has such a division.
One of the best placed to find plenty of information regarding the history of a building is the Tax
Assessor s office. Since this office needs to keep records for official purposes they have a great deal of
information. The information available here includes the current owner, building construction area, a
list of past owners, the past and current uses of the building, material used in construction of the
building, list of building violations if any, any photographs associated with building and much more.
The maps and surveyors office is a good place to get hold of old maps and surveys. It is possible to

  • 2. Communism In Albania Research Paper According to the Dictionary.com, communism is defined as a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self perpetuating political party. Communism was the form of the government in Albania until 1992. As Albania transitioned from communism to democracy, communism has caused the poverty, which is one of the biggest struggle Albania has ever faced. Although the government changed its form to democracy, the influences of Communism still remain causing the nation to suffer from its unstable economy and poverty. Ever since Communism ended after the election in 1992, Albania has been struggling to recover its economic status. Unlike the past years, where all the jobs were provided for citizens by the government, now people have to look for their own jobs. We have seen military techniques and technology change as we progress. Our schools are filled with legends of great war heroes and hard fought battles. Urban guerillas have to rely heavily on support from the citizens. Guerilla warfare basically relies on one standard. The element of surprise. Often, guerillas will not be in uniform and carry just a concealed weapon. By doing this it helps the guerillas startle the enemy and catch them off guard, giving them the clear cut advantage. Also, the enemy is always in a state of fear, never knowing when or where these guerillas could pop out and attack. They are constantly on watch and they tire easily. By using guerilla warfare, forces are able to lower they re casualties while increasing their opponents, even if they are winning cheap. Because they often time use cowardly tactics, guerillas are usually considered terrorists by their opponents. Sometimes however, this can be true. Guerillas in some cases have used propaganda, or started revolts to win over their cause. Instead of trying to defeat their enemy, they try to create chaos, hoping to drive their enemy out. Massive riots and sabotage are not at all uncommon in guerilla wars. All in all, guerilla warfare is the use of unconventional war tactics used against enemies that follow these conventional laws. The Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and one of the most important when it comes to voting in the United States of America. This Amendment was ratified on February 3, 1870 after the civil war and was met by a flurry of great full voters and scornful American citizens. Racism has been a problem in America since its founding and, despite common misconception, is still a serious issue today. With the 2016 elections just around the corner it s important we has American recognize the issue of voter ID discrimination and how it is not only going directly against the constitution but also unethical and immoral in our modern American society. While the main purpose for voter ID is to eliminate fraud and corruption in the American voting system, it has brought with it consequences that discourage and even prohibit eligible voters to vote. • 10. Yeast Glycolysis Lab Report I believe that one factor that contributes to the rate of glucose consumption and respiration in yeast is the glycemic index of the added sugar or sugar substitute. I have drawn these conclusions based on the data collected by my classmates and I in addition to my prior knowledge of glycolysis. During the testing process, some novel treatments were experimented with, including the replacement of sugar in the experiment with maple syrup, honey, and an artificial sweetener. Because these sugar replacements are different types of sweeteners, they have a difference in glycemic index. The glycemic index of a food is a number that represents the number of carbohydrates in a food and how these carbohydrates affects a person blood glucose level. A higher glycemic index means the food can be metabolized faster. Basically, glycemic index is a representation of how easily a cell can metabolize the sugar found in a food into glucose. Glucose can then, in turn, be converted to pyruvate through the process of glycolysis. Pyruvate is then metabolized into acetaldehyde, and this metabolization gives off a byproduct ... As you can see in the graph, the trend lines show that honey had the lowest amount of collected CO2, then the maple syrup and sugar are fairly close together, and then that the artificial sweetener experiment produced much more CO2 than any of the others, and appears to be climbing at a more aggressive rate. This makes sense, because the artificial sweetener had the highest glycemic index of any of the sugar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When personal income tax rate increases, stockholders would want the firm to retain its earnings, so it could reinvest them. This is so because an increase in personal taxes would apply to the taxes that stockholders have to pay on their income from dividends. b. Increase. The more rapid that depreciation can occur, the larger the cash flows that stockholders can receive. This increased cash flow should lead to an increase in the payout ratios for the stockholders. c. Companies can use the residual model to set a target cash distribution level and then divide the distribution into a dividend component and a repurchase component (Ehrhardt Brigham, 2017, p. 591). This will lead to a decrease in the number of outstanding shares and will cause the dividend to continue to grow. The company has more flexibility in adjusting the total distribution than it would if the entire distribution were in the form of cash dividends, because repurchases can be varied from year to year without giving adverse signals (Ehrhardt Brigham, 2017, p. 591). Thus, the growth of the dividends can be less impacted by the cash inflow of the company because in years with less cash inflow, the company can reduce the amount of stocks that it repurchases instead of having a large fluctuation in the dividends. These are two of the several reasons why firms are motivated to repurchase stock instead of using a cash dividend. 2. There is a tradeoff when deciding to pay dividends or retain the free cash flow. This is particularly important when there are floatation costs to consider. We had been thinking of and planning our trip to Yellowstone for quite a while. We were all excited for the trip to come. It started with a long drive through Nebraska stopping at night to set up camp and get some sleep. We were all exhausted and slept like rocks. There was plenty of privacy, flat ground, trees, and of course a shower. My mom and I also were pleasantly surprised to find that the showers were also free. While there was still daylight. We got a fire going set up our tents and looked around a bit. When we were finally ready we all went and bathed in the glorious creation of soap and hot running water cascading on our heads and bodies. This will also affect trade as If the UK has higher inflation than competitor countries (which it isn t now, but it has been for a lot of the last few decades) then UK prices gradually rise above imported prices. More imports are bought, so demand leaks out of the country and leaves UK businesses in a weak position such as Premier inn and Costa Coffee so overall inflation is not a good thing if it does occur and will have a negative effect on Whitbread s businesses. Unemployment High unemployment rates especially within the countries that Whitbread operate their businesses, Costs and Premier inn can have a great effect on business operations as high unemployment will mean that more people will be relying on benefits for survival and as a result will be spending less, this would in turn affect businesses such as Premier inn and costa coffee as no one will be using their products and services which will then effect profits which would mean that they would have to halt growth and cut staff which are all negative factors as a result. This means when Whitbread are planning on expanding within different countries they will carefully have to look at these factors. Four European countries all participated in the slave trade, which was fueled by nationalism. They were Spain, Britain, France, and Denmark. This can be achieved through long lasting design, maintenance, repair, reuse, remanufacturing, refurbishing, and recycling. (Martin Geissdoerfer a, 2017) Concept We can state that in Circular economy utilizing old merchandise and utilizing crude material which is as waste, and it can be replicated and reused by reusing the item by utilizing the imaginative thoughts remembering that it doesn t influence the earth. The quote, by nature philosopher Vladimir Nabokov, states, There is a high ridge where the mountainside of scientific knowledge joins the opposite slope of artistic imagination; where precision of poetry and the art of science can meet. She said it reminded her of all the years she watched me with my students, exploring and healing wild places. This was, and is, one of the most profound compliments I have ever received. There is a multitude of ways to approach teaching students about our Earth, some technical, some artistic, some spiritual, but to effect lasting change, one has to touch on all three. Throughout my 23 years as an environmental educator, I have often said my true goal is to guide students toward a love and desire to protect our planet and each other the science they learn is a happy side effect. But side effects can have lasting effects, and make no mistake the science is critical. Hooking students emotionally, though, opens their minds to the science, to a desire to know the world around them, to a willingness to absorb the science because it explains what they love. Also, when U.S. corporation hires outside contractor out of the country to do U.S. call center services for less labor cost that is outsourcing. When a company deals out its operational task, such as payroll, accounting, and software operations that is outsourcing. To get the clear understanding of outsourcing, I have interviewed IKEA s U.S. Deputy Retail Country Manager Rob Olson about outsourcing Swedish goods. Olson stated that IKEA s outsourcing utilizes the unique talents of different countries and their labor markets to increase trade, which helps better allocate resources in their own countries while getting goods cheaper from others. Today, there are massive numbers of people who think what started as a globalized extension by sending some work outside, in fact, is creating uncertainties on structural ... • 32. Printing Organs And The Human Body Printing organs has been talked about and attempted to be used for close to 40 years. Printing organs can help with advancements in many ways because it could help many of the people that are on the Organ Transplanting List, not to mention it could save countless lives as well. If organs are able to be printed and executed for procedures and transplants, then we could reduce hospital bills that increase during the time that you are waiting for an organ. Therefore, making a large advancement in the healthcare field. Organ printing can be very difficult and must be executed very carefully considering that the body may reject the new organ. Three dimensional (3D) printing is a manufacturing method in which objects are made by fusing or depositing materials such as plastic, metal, ceramics, powders, liquids, or even living cells in layers to produce a 3D object (Ventola, October 2014). It is incredible to see how such materials can be used to be put together to make a living organism that can be used in a human s body. As a person ages this could be very useful because organs tend to fail and become weak when a person gets older they could potentially be used to replace the failing organs. There are many different types of 3D printing and they do all come with some positives but at the same time they come with some negatives as well. There is selective laser printing, an SLS printer uses powdered material as the substrate for printing new objects. A laser draws the shape of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The aspects of this class that primarily caught my attention were the opportunity to do fieldwork, travel to a different continent, camp/hike in one of the worlds famous regions (Amazon rainforest), and the opportunity to widen my knowledge of biodiversity and how to calculate it. I have studied abroad before, with Dr. CS Chaboo doing fieldwork in Costa Rica, where we collected insects and other creatures from leaf rolls and inflorescences we found in the cloud rainforests of Monteverde and other regions. But, in this world, there were immortals; these immortals were known as Star People. Where the Star People lived, there was one rule and that was no one could go near the Hole In The Ground. The Hole In The Ground was so deep you could not see the bottom of it and was so wide you could not see the other side. There was a fence surrounding the Hole In The Ground made from posts set every fifteen feet that had three chains running through them. It had taken the fence building crew a couple of centuries to build the fence around the Hole In The Ground. Stakeholders are people and organizations that have a stake (interest) in what a healthcare organization does and that could affect the healthcare organization (Olden, 2011). There are many different stakeholders in our case study but we will focus on the main ones. In Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Health Care Reform Act had a considerable impact on hospitals and the health care system. Doing these things, the insurance companies hoped to lower premiums. Bill 2585 did pass but the law did not go as far as the insurance companies had hoped. It only limited open enrollment in the merged market to twice a year in 2011 and once a year after that (case study), which didn t really help much. Due to loss in the small market group in 2009, health plans planned double digit premium increases in 2010 (case study), but the government stepped in and put a stop to it. Even though the big name hospitals were driving up cost, the insurance companies were seen as the bad guys. This caused local plans to record sizable operating losses for the first quarter of 2010 and had to draw on reserves to cover expected losses resulting from the rate rollbacks (case study). The plot follows Kōsei Arima, Kaori Miyazono and Tsubaki Sawabe as they face teenage problems in love, music, and health. This anime is by far the most depressing series I have ever watched. It s not just sad, it s depressing. It s like watching a group of cursed kids going through traumatic events that will likely make them the most miserable adults possible. The series started with the potential of being one of the great tear jerkers, but they forgot how to give something resembling happiness to keep the story in the light. At times, it feels like the story, and the characters, are about to emerge from the shadows, only to be pulled back deeper, like a swimmer caught in the ocean desperately trying to reach shore as it s swept further away by each crashing wave. Due to the constant dark nature of the story, I found the scenes that should have been emotional just blended into the rest of the story, resulting in a story with very little emotional impact. Although, the final two episodes were so emotional that they cut right through all that sadness, which should tell you how fantastic they were. But two unforgettable episodes does make an unforgettable series. Much of the problem in Your Lie in April stems from the repeated content. The Ipswich region was home to the Yagara peoples during centuries previous to European colonisation, and the area was occupied by the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul clans. (Community Cultural Services Department, 2015). The area was firstly explored by John Oxley shortly after the establishment of the penal settlement of Moreton Bay, first in Redcliffe and now in current day Brisbane, in 1824. The area was developed after 1826 with the establishment of Limestone Station, which became a common stop in the road between Brisbane and the Darling Downs (Ipswich City Council, 2016a). The region was open to free settlers in 1842, with the township of Ipswich established in 1843 (Ipswich City Council, 2016b). From that date onwards, the town competed in importance with neighbouring Brisbane, its economy being based around the extraction of limestone and coal, as well as farming. (Erbacher, 2016). In 1860, Ipswich was officially proclaimed a municipality and it became a Customs port. Prior to her arrival in American Samoa, Mead with the guidance of her mentor Franz Boas, decided to investigate the lives of adolescent girls in Samoa as a focal point of her research. Mead chose this subject matter due to her speculation that the period adolescence within the United States during the 1920s was filled with stress and a period of turbulence; therefore, Mead hypothesized that stress felt by American youth resulted from the American cultural environment. The north was the closest slaves could get to a safe place in America, and it was generally thought that the further south in America one went the worse the conditions for slaves were. With slavery comes violence and with violence comes guilt and to rid guilt there was religion. The cases of religion being a justifier were highlighted in Frederick Douglass s Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave (1845). On the other hand religion is considered a sort of saving grace for the slave protagonist, Tom, in Harriet Beecher Stowe s Uncle Tom s Cabin (1852). Some Americans at the time saw religion as a reason not to participate in the violence involved in slavery or even slavery itself while others saw it as the opposite and used it to intensify their already terrible treatment of slaves. The transfer of energy and the interactions within them are kept in frail balance by nature, similar to a tightrope walker balancing themself at a height of a few hundred metres. What would happen if that tightrope walker lost his balance and fell? Similarly, what would happen if a species arrives at a foreign ecosystem? If a non native species negatively affects its environment, then it is considered an invasive, or alien, species. The human society is in crisis. Invasive species cause the damage of the native environment. They are one of the causes for the decline in the human economy. The invasive species also negatively hinder our health. This phenomenon is occurring in a global scale, impacting Lake Victoria in Africa to the Oak Ridges Moraine in Canada. People are trying to use different techniques to control the introduction of invasive species and negate their impact on the native environment. Invasive species are a threat to their foreign environment and should be prevented from causing further damage. When mentioning the term invasive species , its definition is ambiguous when taken out of context. It is when a non native organism, or group thereof, negatively influences its introduced environment.
