Comparing all 3 parts of my Kerrang magazine.

1. These 3 parts of this Kerrang magazine have many things in common with each
other.
Firstly, they all focus on one particular person from a popular rock band. He stars on
the front cover with the main coverline anchoring the image so the majoirty of the
the page is based on this article inside. Othe contents page, this article is underneath
one of the subheadings with the page number. Then, the whole double page spread
is about that article so they all link because they are all based on him which gives a
clear theme to the magazine.
Secondly, the colour scheme has been consistent across all the the 3 pages; black,
white and red. This also helps keep a theme to the magazine and make it look neat
and professional by sticking to their house style. The dominant colours reflect the
target audience because they seem quite masculine and serious colours instead of
girly colours such as pink or purple.
The genre of the magazine and the topics they talk about in the articles are all very
similar. For example, most of the content is about rock bands and artists or certain
festivals and concerts featuring this type of music. This would make it appeal to the
target audience more because they would be interested in this genre of music.
The presentation and layout is similar too espeically across the contents page and
the double page spread. The columns are grided off neatly which helps the reader
read the article easier and it makes the page look better as a whole.
