The background colours
are burnt red, orange
leaves to show the
Autumn theme.
The audience appeal for
this image is 20-30 years
olds because it makes that
audience want to wear
clothing like that or
similar clothing.
To link in with the
Autumn theme they
have chosen a
Autumn look for the
woman so then it
would appeal to the
intended audience.
They have chosen this angle
to show they have used the
leaves in the background to
show the Autumn theme.
The location is in a forest in
daytime to catch the sunlight
appearing through the
leaves of the tree.
Existing Product
The location of this
image is in area of a
field where there are
certain colourful
flowers/weeds are
growing. They have
used this kind of
scenery so you can tell
what kind of season it
is and to show her
maroon dress more as
the flowers are lighter.
The image could be for
a shampoo/conditioner
advert as she is
showing her fabulous
long brown hair and
her running her hand
threw her hair.
The colour scheme is
reds, pinks, white,
greens and oranges
to show the theme of
Autumn.
They have done this photo in the daylight so it has a certain affect which
could be to want to buy the shampoo that she uses as her hair is amazing or
to show her natural beauty for the woman.
Existing Product
This location is on a field or
her back yard because of
what she is wearing. She is
dressed as a horse rider in
long knee height brown
boots with a smart cardigan
and scarf to make her look
sophisticated.
They have taken this
image on an angle as
you can see the
reflection of the
other trees in the
sunlight.
Existing Product
There would be no
background because it is
done in a studio. They
have used different fonts,
colours and sizes to make
the cover have different
affects.
They have used different
colours to make it bolder
and stand out. The
writing on the magazine
cover is very irregular.
The bigger the words are
the more it stands out
and appeals to people to
buy the magazine
They have used her
make up to make the
women in that time
to want to look like
her and have the
same hairstyle and
dress sense. You can
tell there is a light
near her face as her
face is very bright.
The magazine cover is
very colourful and
bright to make it stand
out and be bold.
Research Analysis
What common features do the researched products have?
The common features in the images I have chosen were the
backgrounds which were leaves and trees in the Autumn. Also, in
the images there are similar clothing choices.
What aspects of the research will you include within your on
work?
Some aspects that I will include within my own work will be
some of the backgrounds such as trees and leaves on the ground
or falling down. Some similar clothing that they have used.

Audience research
Observation: This is showing that most of my audience likes to animals in

Interviews
Interview 1
How do you stay updated on the current trends?
I check my favourite fashion website to see if they had there new trends out and
stay in contact with their email.
Have you ever taken a picture of yourself and uploaded up to Instagram?
Is this because you looked good in the photo or something else?
I only get pictures taken of me and then it gets uploaded onto Instagram. Only
because I don’t have Instagram.
Which celebrities have the best style to you?
Oliver Sykes because I wear most of his brand, Kanye West because his music is
good and good fashion sense and Justin Bieber because he has good fashion
sense and is the biggest icon of the world.
Where do you buy your clothes? High street shops?
Drop Dead is an online shop, River Island, Top Man and Other which is also an
online shop.
Do you like to browse the internet for the latest trend?
Yes I do, because I am someone who likes to keep up to date with latest trends.
Interview 1
Observation:
He likes to look good in the latest fashion trends and only checks up on the
fashion trends online and high street shops.
What this says about my audience:
My candidate was young so it shows that he loves fashion and wants to look
good which not every teen is like that because of different social status.
How will your product appeal to this audience:
My photography would probably appeal to the candidate because the images
will be all about the new fashion trend.
Interview 2
How do you stay updated on the current trends?
I don’t generally like to keep up to date with the newest fashion trend
because it doesn’t bother me. You wear what you want to be comfortable.
Have you ever taken a picture of yourself and uploaded up to Instagram?
Is this because you looked good in the photo or something else?
For this, I have done this because I think I look good in what I wear so I took a
photo of myself for Instagram and Snap Chat.
Which celebrities have the best style to you?
I don’t have a particular celebrity because I don’t like their fashion.
Where do you buy your clothes? High street shops?
I buy my clothes from Sports Direct or Primark.
Do you like to browse the internet for the latest trend?
I do not browse the internet for the latest trend because I don’t trust items of
clothing being sent through the post and if it’ll come in the right size.
Interview 2
Observation:
This candidate doesn’t mind going out in joggers and trainers to a restaurant
because he bother with it.
What this says about my audience:
This particular audience is not who I was going for, it was more of those
people who like to look good and keep up with the latest fashion or who has a
celebrity to get some fashion sense from.
How will your product appeal to this audience:
My product will not appeal to this audience as my range clothing will not ‘fit’
in with his cupboard.

photos in their favourite magazines.
Social Status:
At all social status’ It will not make a difference because the
clothing I am using will be cost effective for all
social status’ to buy and wear.
Research Evaluation
Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of each method
Product Research:
A strength of product research is helpful because it helps you with the colour,
shadow, editing and background setting for my work. A disadvantage is it’s
time consuming.
Questionnaires:
A strength of questionnaires is that it helps with what kind of photography
other people prefer and a disadvantage is the people taking the survey may
not be totally honest about their answers.
Interviews:
A strength of interviewing is you get a better understanding of the candidates
views from their feelings and opinions. A disadvantage is the answers they
give may not be the answers you were looking for.
Research Evaluation
What sort of a response did you get?
I now know what kind of photography people like from this survey as it
gave them that option of what kind of photography. This now helps
when I am going to produce my images.
How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a
disadvantage
I sent out my survey through my phone and sent to my friends on my
group chats and they replied. An advantage of doing the survey through
your phone is it’s easier and faster as you can quickly copy the link and
sent to your group chat whereas doing it on the computer is confusing
as it doesn’t have that option.

Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each method Product Research: A strength of product research is helpful because it helps you with the colour, shadow, editing and background setting for my work. Questionnaires: A strength of questionnaires is that it helps with what kind of photography other people prefer and a disadvantage is the people taking the survey may not be totally honest about their answers. Interviews: A strength of interviewing is you get a better understanding of the candidates views from their feelings and opinions. A disadvantage is the answers they give may not be the answers you were looking for.

This now helps when I am going to produce my images. How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage I sent out my survey through my phone and sent to my friends on my group chats and they replied. An advantage of doing the survey through your phone is it’s easier and faster as you can quickly copy the link and sent to your group chat whereas doing it on the computer is confusing as it doesn’t have that option.
