The news media reports countless stories of crimes that have been committed throughout the country.
Some are so outrageous and almost comical, like a thief trying to steal a cash register from a drive thru
window at a fast food restaurant to other stories that make us seriously question the future of
humanity. I have often judged criminals and the crimes they are accused of committing even before
their guilt is proven. Some of the crimes reported are so vile that they elicit a visceral response within
me and I find myself thinking that they should just be put to death. A closer examination of
punishment and the death penalty made me question my own ethics which led to an unexpected
change in my beliefs regarding the morality of punishment and the death penalty.
I his book Contemporary Moral Issues, Diversity and Consensus, Edward Hinman points out that our
country, which has about 5 percent of the world s population, has 25 percent of prisoners (Hinman
134). This statistical data is quite sobering because while reading it in passing, one can deduce that our
society is full of criminals and that in itself is frightening. However, in closer examination I think it
proves that we are doing something wrong, that our approach to crime and punishment is failing. On a

and provides evidence for quality assurance and future care (Porter Perry, 2014). A SOAP note
consists of Subjective, objective, assessment and a plan for the client care. This paper attempts to
assess and document subjective and objective data for a case study involving a 46 years old male
client brought to the urgent care with the complain of chest pain and identify three nursing diagnosis
and provide a plan for each diagnosis identified.
SUBJECTIVE DATA
Client complains of chest pain and shortness of breath (SOB). Client states that he was working with
heavy stones and has a sedentary office jobs and sedentary life styles. Client has a medical history of
asthma GERD. Client also complains of indigestion and has not eaten much today. Beside this
information, the nurse would ask the following questions to the client in order to complete the client

Observation Reflection
A few weeks ago our group sat in the Starbucks located on campus for 20 minutes observing people
who sat, stood and walked around. In this time we had four different sets of eyes looking around and
taking notes. The following is a summary of our observations to answer the required questions. A
difficulty we may have encountered if we would have stayed in the same location longer is people
would have noticed. People were extremely busy, but as time went by one girl did notice there was
something odd about our table and began to stare. That would have made it awkward and caused a
distraction of what our goal if more people noticed us. Another difficulty would be our notes would
have been repetitive and it would have been hard focusing. As observers, constantly seeing the same
thing, it would just be too much for us.
During the observation period we conducted as a group, we felt that it would be very easy since we
naturally observe people in our free time. Though through time we felt very creepy and somewhat
stupid just sitting around staring at people and writing notes. Nevertheless, an overall feeling was that
it was interesting sitting. We observed our fellow classmates, Rutgers students and faculty staff who
passed by.
Overall, in the quality and accuracy of our field notes and conclusions, we would be very confident

Last semester, one of my sociology professors showed us a documentary called The End of Suburbia:
Oil Depletion and the Collapse of The American Dream. It s a Canadian documentary that was
released in 2004 and it even won a few awards.
One of the main subjects this documentary talks about is the peak oil phenomenon. According to many
geoscientists, geologists and other members of the scientific community, oil production is supposed to
peak. After this peak, we should start to see production drop as the oil becomes harder to extract and
refine. Some think that we have already peaked, others think that production is currently peaking.
Recently, there have also been some people in the financial industry who are saying that the peak oil
I enjoyed riding my bike around my quiet neighborhood and playing with my friends at the park was
always loads of fun. However, this documentary clearly has a more critical perspective on suburbia.
Originally, suburbia was supposed to be a form of country living in proximity to the city. The first
suburban communities in the U.S. were just small towns located just outside of the city center and
many of them were connected to the downtown core with light rail transit ways. They were very
similar to any other rural town. The little shops created a small town atmosphere and I assume that
some of these suburbs even had their own municipal councils. They must have been great places to
live in, but only the upper middle class could afford to live in these quaint communities.
The concept of suburbia quickly morphed into something far different from country living. Over the
years, urban sprawl has created vast suburbs. Instead of local shops, the suburbs we know today have
large malls full of box stores. Highways connect our suburbs to the city center instead of railways and
the modern suburb doesn t have the same sense of community that the original suburbs had. According
to the documentary, suburban life and everything that comes with it has been packaged and sold in
bulk to many Americans and Canadians. And this package we call The American Dream , which is
simply of a mockery or a satire of what the original suburbs used to be like, is

This report has been prepared to detail the operations and environmental compliance at the Dulverton
Landfill and the Dulverton Compost Facility based on our visit on 28th April 2016. This report also
covers the requirements of the six (6) environmental issues of primary concern listed in Section 1.2.2
of the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment publication Landfill
Sustainability Guide 2004.
Proponent
Dulverton Regional Waste Management Authority, now trading as Dulverton Waste Management was
established for the management and disposal of waste generated predominately by its owners and
North West community with an expected life exceeding 50 years. This is a Level 2 landfill that has an

The tropical rainforest plays a significant role in regulating the water cycle on earth, through
transpiration and evaporation process. Transpiration is the water vapour loss from plants through
stomata, and evaporation is the water loss from all other part of plants but leaves and other living
things in the forest. Evapotranspiration are the accumulation of transpiration and evaporation in the
forest. During transpiration, trees suck water from soil through the root system and transport the water
to leaves through xylem, and then release the water to the air through stomata. Transpiration happens
simultaneously with photosynthesis.
The soil loss water due to evapotranspiration process and the water level will be recharged through
precipitation. In the tropical rainforest, precipitation rate are high due to high evapotranspiration rate.
High evapotranspiration rate plays a significant role in cloud formation above the rainforest area and
its surroundings. Water vapour that is released into the air will be condensed as it moves to a higher
altitude. The condensed water vapour form the clouds above the forest. The more water vapour being
