This project aims to design a railway accident identification and alert system using a GSM modem and wireless communication technology. A vibration sensor attached to each train coach will detect accidents and signal the microcontroller. The microcontroller will then send an SMS alert about the accident through the GSM modem, including the affected coach number. It will also activate a buzzer for audible alerting and display the accident status on an LCD screen. The goal is to quickly notify people of railway accidents using this wireless technology.

Ensuring Security in Emergency through SMS Alert SystemEditor IJCATR
Short Message Services are increasingly being relied upon to disseminate critical information during emergencies. In recent
days accident happens very common due to heavy traffic and increase in vehicle level and bad drivers, hence it requires a software to
inform the service centre for instant help to save life of the people. Sending the nearest emergency service and/or police officers
needed for reporting the accident can be quite tedious. The idea of this work is to reduce the time required by the emergency
personnel to reach the accident area. This can be done if the information about an accident reaches the emergency services in time and
accurately. The project eliminates any communication between the victim and the personnel which leads to confusion. This is done by
finding the accurate position of the location by making use of the GPS services available in cell phones when the victim sends a
message to the emergency number(such as 108). The project aims at reducing the severe loss due to injury and fatality rate in accidents
to a great extent.
Mumbai is the financial and commercial capital of India. Mumbai wouldn’t have achieved this without the lifeline of the city –its local trains. For any large densely populated urban area, the local trains are essential for a speedy cross-over of a large population over long distances. Collision Avoidance of Trains Using Arm7IJERA Editor
Railways are the popular mode of Transport in almost all major cities of the World. Railways are the most
widely used and comfortable modes of transportation system. The major cause for railway accidents is collision
of trains on the same track. The main aim of this anti collision system is to identify collision points and to report
these error cases to main control room nearer to the station as well as grid control station. Majority of accidents
occurred due to improper communication among the network between drivers and control room, due to wrong
signaling, worst atmospheric condition, immediate change of route. The train driver doesn’t get proper
information in time leading to hazardous situations. So this system by using zigbee protocol provides
communication in between trains, which provide information or track id of one train to another train to avoid
collision.

Response time analysis of mixed messages in CANIJERA Editor
Controller Area Network (CAN) is a network protocol that allows multiple processors in a system to
communicate efficiently with each other. Microprocessors became small enough and powerful enough to start
appearing everywhere, not just inside personal computers. A CAN system sends messages using a serial bus
network, with the individual nodes (processors) in the network linked together in a daisy chain. Every node in
the system is equal to every other node. Any processor can send a message to any other processor, and if any
processor fails, the other systems in the machine will continue to work properly and communicate with each
other. In modern vehicle technology CAN is used to reduce point to point wiring harness for vehicle automation
and for data communication. To overcome the drawbacks of analog vehicle driving interface, this paper presents
the development and implementation of a digital driving system for a semi-autonomous vehicle to improve the
driver-vehicle interface. This offers increased flexibility and expandability. This system uses sensors to
measure temperature, distance from the other car, presence of alcohol in car, position monitoring, theft
monitoring and etc., and sends a warning signal to the driver if any of the parameter goes out of range to avoid
accidents. In addition to this if accident occurs in any remote area then using vibration sensor, accident is
detected and SMS is send immediately using GSM and preventing him from potentially getting into a serious
problems.

Retiming of digital circuits is conventionally based on the estimates of propagation delays across different paths in the data-flow graphs (DFGs) obtained by discrete component
timing model, which implicitly assumes that operation of a node can begin only after the completion of the operation(s) of its preceding node(s) to obey the data dependence requirement. Such a discrete component timing model very often gives much higher
estimates of the propagation delays than the actuals particularly when the computations in the DFG nodes correspond to fixed point arithmetic operations like additions and multiplications

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

RAILWAY ACCIDENT IDENFITICATIONAND ALERT SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
This project is aimed to design a railway accident identification and alerting system by using
wireless communication GSM technology.
A GSM modem provides the communication interface. It transports device protocols
transparently over the network through a serial interface. A GSM modem is a wireless modem
that works with a GSM wireless network. This GSM Modem can accept any GSM network
operator SIM card and act just like a mobile phone with its own unique phone number.
Advantage of using this modem will be that you can use its RS232 port to communicate and
develop embedded applications. Applications like SMS Control, data transfer, remote control
and logging can be developed easily. The modem can either be connected to PC serial port
directly or to any microcontroller. It can also be used in GPRS mode to connect to internet and
do many applications for data logging and control. In GPRS mode you can also connect to any
remote FTP server and upload files for data logging.
This GSM modem is a highly flexible plug and play quad band SIM300 GSM
modem for direct and easy integration to RS232 applications. Supports features like Voice, SMS,
Data/Fax, GPRS and integrated TCP/IP stack.
This project is designed in such a way that a GSM modem is interfaced to the controller using
serial communication. The main aim of this project is to alert people from railway accidents by
using vibration sensor. A vibration sensor is interfaced to the controller. This sensor can found
railway accidents. Each railway coach contain single vibration sensor. If train move normally no
vibrations occurr. If accident occurs any one of the sensor in train must be activated and
microcontroller takes signal from the sensor. After detecting pulse from sensor microcontroller

sends SMS to particular numbers through GSM modem and for alerting buzzer will be
on.Microcontroller sends accident report along with coach number which is affected by accident.
This effected coach number find out by sensor physical placing in coaches. A buzzer will be
interfaced to the controller for alert. A 16X2LCD will be interfaced to the controller for
displaying the status of the sensor.
This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage
regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac
output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.
