5s-Seiri Sort
ļµ Cleary distinguish the grocery
items that are needed and
eliminate the unwanted items.
ļµ This process should be followed
at the first while collecting
order or unloading order from
vendors or suppliers.
ļµ Products should be separated
as per there used or as per
required temperature like
ļµ Fresh products should be
separate and sort as fast as
possible because it might
perishable faster.
ļµ Dry products should be sorted
as per usage and expiry date.
5s Seiton Orderliness
ļµ Keeping needed grocery items at
correct & convenient place for easy and
immediate retrieval.
ļµ This is 2nd important process where it
simplify the place allocation for store.
ļµ These helps store person to remember to
curtain extend and there is no chance of
glitches while delivery.
ļµ Products should be order in such a way
that help for easy cycle count or during
stock checking.
5s Seiso Shine
ļµ Store should be swept and
clean at regular interval
ļµ Hygienic condition helps
store person maintain its
operation on smooth flow.
ļµ Shine or cleanliness attracts
or delight customers at a
great extend.
ļµ This process is an ongoing
process its not a just work of
cleaner, every employee
should follow as a practices
while working in store.
5s Seiketsu Standardize
ļµ Grocery store should
standardize all the process
and maintain the consistency
of work flow
ļµ It helps store to stabilize and
smooth flow by practicing as
daily process.
ļµ It helps to overall reduce the
cost at every parameters.
ļµ It also reduces small and big
loopholes and make the
process efficient.
5s Shitsuke Sustain
ļµ Maintaining the discipline helps
or makes a habit of preserving
the established procedures.
ļµ This process is more of the self
discipline maintain by store
person and employee in store.
ļµ It helps to coordinate between
employees and improves the
quality work.

IN GROCERY STORE
Parameters to be undertaken for
implementation of Seiri in Grocery store.
ļµ Separate things- which are necessary from those
which not necessary.
ļµ Red tag-those items which have no clearly
foreseeable use, move them outside the work
area to disposal shelf.
ļµ Rework /repair ā€“those items in store which are not
in working condition should be separated.
ļµ Dispose off ā€“items which are not in usage or
unnecessary should be remove.
Benefit After implementation of Seiri in
Grocery Store
ļµ Practices of Seiri will saves
productive space.
ļµ It will prevent incident of
unnecessary buying.
ļµ It will give clarity as to what is
in stock.
ļµ As Space will reduce that will
help to reduce number of
cabinets for storage.

handling of items.

ļµ Space Allocation- Pre fix a place for every thing
and put everything in place.
ļµ Name racks or shelves and assign allocation.
ļµ Use FIFO rule to reduce inconsistency.
ļµ Plan storage of grocery item based on frequency
of usage.
ļµ Signage board should be use for easy navigate
for customer and employee.

  • 4. 5s-Seiri Sort ļµ Cleary distinguish the grocery items that are needed and eliminate the unwanted items. ļµ This process should be followed at the first while collecting order or unloading order from vendors or suppliers. ļµ Products should be separated as per there used or as per required temperature like ļµ Fresh products should be separate and sort as fast as possible because it might perishable faster. ļµ Dry products should be sorted as per usage and expiry date.
  • 5. 5s Seiton Orderliness ļµ Keeping needed grocery items at correct & convenient place for easy and immediate retrieval. ļµ This is 2nd important process where it simplify the place allocation for store. ļµ These helps store person to remember to curtain extend and there is no chance of glitches while delivery. ļµ Products should be order in such a way that help for easy cycle count or during stock checking.
  • 6. 5s Seiso Shine ļµ Store should be swept and clean at regular interval ļµ Hygienic condition helps store person maintain its operation on smooth flow. ļµ Shine or cleanliness attracts or delight customers at a great extend. ļµ This process is an ongoing process its not a just work of cleaner, every employee should follow as a practices while working in store.
  • 7. 5s Seiketsu Standardize ļµ Grocery store should standardize all the process and maintain the consistency of work flow ļµ It helps store to stabilize and smooth flow by practicing as daily process. ļµ It helps to overall reduce the cost at every parameters. ļµ It also reduces small and big loopholes and make the process efficient.
  • 8. 5s Shitsuke Sustain ļµ Maintaining the discipline helps or makes a habit of preserving the established procedures. ļµ This process is more of the self discipline maintain by store person and employee in store. ļµ It helps to coordinate between employees and improves the quality work. ļµ These process creates an positive work environment during work and also during interacting with customers COMMITMENT + EVERYONEā€™S INVOLVEMENT = SUCCESS TO 5S IMPLEMENTATION IN GROCERY STORE

Parameters to be undertaken for implementation of Seiri in Grocery store. ļµ Separate things- which are necessary from those which not necessary. ļµ Red tag-those items which have no clearly foreseeable use, move them outside the work area to disposal shelf. ļµ Rework /repair ā€“those items in store which are not in working condition should be separated. ļµ Dispose off ā€“items which are not in usage or unnecessary should be remove.

Benefit After implementation of Seiri in Grocery Store ļµ Practices of Seiri will saves productive space. ļµ It will prevent incident of unnecessary buying. ļµ It will give clarity as to what is in stock. ļµ As Space will reduce that will help to reduce number of cabinets for storage. ļµ It reduces unnecessary handling of items.

Parameters to be undertaken for implementation of Seiton in Grocery store. ļµ Space Allocation- Pre fix a place for every thing and put everything in place. ļµ Name racks or shelves and assign allocation. ļµ Use FIFO rule to reduce inconsistency. ļµ Plan storage of grocery item based on frequency of usage. ļµ Signage board should be use for easy navigate for customer and employee.
