Journal Analyzing the Byronic Hero and Lord Byron’s...
A Journal Analyzing the Byronic Hero, Those who Closely Resemble the Hero, Byron s Writing
Styles and Literary Criticism
(Journal entry 1, Defining the Byronic Hero)
The Byronic Hero is a term derived from the poetic narrative, Childe Harold s Pilgrimage, by Lord
Byron. Though the idea of the Byronic Hero originated with the creation of Byron s characters, Byron
himself possessed the physical features associated with the Byronic Hero. These features include dark
brooding eyes, dark hair, pale skin and a slender frame. The Byronic hero derived from Childe Harold
s Pilgrimage, strays away from the typical hero role by possessing dual characteristics of good as well
as evil, And had been glorious in another day: but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The elevated emotional state of the Byronic Hero leads him to be or appear egocentric and introverted
hating the world he had almost forgot , characteristics which deter from the standardized hero who
fights for the good of man kind. Guilt from the past also plagues the Byronic Hero, for he through Sin
s labyrinth had run, nor made atonement when he did amiss... (Byron,C.H.181). The haunting illusion
to past wrongs or sins taints the Hero and casts a shadow over his overall character and deeds. Due to
his past the Hero often carries some form of defect (physical or physiological), a heart and harp have
lost a string... (Byron,C.H. 210) that further isolates him from society.
(Journal entry 2, Ichabod Resembling the Byronic Hero)
No characters outside of the characters created by Lord Byron himself could fully encompass the idea
of the Byronic Hero, though many narratives have since been created which bare notable resemblance.
Washington Irving created such a character when he wrote the story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Though Ichabod (the main character within the Irving narrative) embodies qualities of the Byronic
Hero, he fails to fully mirror the concept. Ichabod s physical persona is described as tall, but
exceedingly lank, with narrow shoulders, long arms and legs, hands that dangled a mile out of his

Ohio State University V. Richard Spencer s Case
Recently the Ohio State University refused to rent campus space to white nationalist Richard Spencer
so he could speak. While this is understandable considering the message that Spencer has been known
to preach, the Ohio State University has been accused of denying Richard Spencer his first
amendment right. An attorney for Ohio State told Spencer that while the University valued freedom of
speech, the speach would cause a serious threat to public safety. Spencer s response was a lawsuit
against Ohio State University. Spencer had sued several other schools in the past as they wouldn t
allow him to speak and it appears that he has now sued Ohio State.
I chose this article because the idea of first amendment rights and to what degree they should

, Apollonius Of RhodesThe Argonautika, And Ovid s...
All based on the same myth of Jason and Medea, Euripides Medea, Apollonius of Rhodes the
Argonautika, and Ovid s Metamorphoses each describe a unique version of the same character. The
initial characterization of Medea in Euripides play serves as the basis in which both Apollonius and
Ovid base their interpretation of Medea. Although each, in its own defining events, shape a similar
Medea who overcomes similar difficulties, the execution of each calls for a different interpretation of
the woman by the reader. The organization of each story immensely effects the perspective given to
the reader. Euripides play skims over the actual events that take place throughout the story and
revolves around the outcome of these events. Leaving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Still today, we see many unfaithful marriages, but murder is not an option. A spouse who murders his
cheating wife is more wrong than the wife who cheated in the first place, and killing his children to
get revenge would be an unspeakable deed. A reader from today can t relate to the thought process of
Medea, which lends a slim margin to any sympathy for the character. Euripides, however, does create
slight sympathy for her when she mentions her lack of family and friends due to betraying them to be
with Jason, who in turn betrays her. This piece of Euripides story, though, is too miniscule to
counteract the menacing thoughts of Medea. This same small mention is brought about in Ovid s
version, but it also is just a brief point without much depth. The Argonautika takes a much more
sympathetic route by describing Medea as a much younger, innocent girl. The fact that the second
story shows the beginning more in depth leads the reader to see the hardships that may have led her to
become the bitter woman Euripides depicts. Neither Euripides nor Ovid include the hateful image of
Medea s father, which gives an immediate understanding to the reader as to why Medea can never go
back to her homeland. Her betrayal to her father was too great. The readers of the time, knowing the
outcome of the story, would have been shown why Medea plotted against Jason the way she did
because the hardships she faces to help Jason are explained. Not only was her

American Water Works Company
In trading assignment #4 we were required to choose stocks based on a spread strategy which includes
long straddle, short straddle, and a short strangle position. Each position varied our way of picking
certain stocks to choose from.
Our first trade was a short straddled position of the company American Water Works Company
(NYSE: AWK). This company is under utilities industry with a sub industry of water and wastewater,
it also owns a few subsidiaries that manage municipal drinking water. This company operates in the
United States and Canada, and is known to be the largest and most geographically diverse, publicly
traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company.
We were worried about this trading assignment since none of us had experienced trading under these
conditions so we only bought a quantity of ten on each a call option and put option. We were worried

Marketing to Children
Kaitlin Schultz
April 20, 2005
Prof. Kovach
Response Paper
Marketing Children
Child obesity is a growing problem in today s society. On average 28% of girls age 6 11 are
overweight. Pediatricians are now seeing more and more children with high levels of cholesterol, high
blood pressure, and adult on set diabetes. In 1997 American children obtained 50% of their calories
from added fat and sugar and only 1% of children s diets resembled the recommended proportions of
the Food Pyramid.
The amount of money that is spent marketing to children is outrageous. Companies purposefully
market to the young children s tastes in a variety of ways through package design, typefaces, pictures,
and content. Key elements for successful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marketers understand that no child is too young to be targeted by television; many of these programs
are linked directly to commercial products. For example, Burger King then McDonald s sponsored the
public television show Teletubbies (show for toddlers). McDonald s distributed toys of the four
characters in their happy meals. It is estimated that advertising for children has now reached over $1
billion. The most common advertised foods seen are not surprisingly low in nutritional value; products
such as, presweetened breakfast cereals, candy, fast food, sodas, cookies, and chips. Its safes to say the
money isn t being spent on advertising of fruits, vegetables, bread, or fish.
Another largely upsetting report found that food commercials stimulate antisocial behavior in
children. Commercials aimed to children are overly dependent on socially negative material, violence,
conflict, and/or trickery. Food companies purposefully entice children by placing logos on toys,
games, clothing, and school supplies. They even go as far as to sponsor clubs, produce magazines, buy
time in movies, obtain celebrity endorsers, and add their logo to baby bottles. For example, McDonald
s offers cups, toys, placemats, movie coupons, special toys, and logo labeled items for all occasions.
Some companies now sell counting books to young children that require the purchase and use of the
brand name. Regrettably, they teach children to count

Example Of Campaign Finance Reform
Campaign Finance Reform It is time that the voters are the only one s deciding elections. Candidates
should be running on issues, not money. They should not be allowed to get money from wealthy
investors, who keep the playing field unlevel. Any person who wants to run for office, and is qualified
to run for office, should be able to regardless if they have a lot of money to set up a campaign or not.
It is time for Campaign Finance Reform. The Fair Elections Now Act was introduced by Senator
Durbin of Illinois in February 2014, and it would change the way Congressional candidates can
finance their elections. The Act stipulates that qualified Congressional candidates would earn grants,
matching funds, and television vouchers based on a minimum amount of small dollar contributions
from their local community (Durbin, 2015). This bill has still not been adopted, or accepted into law.
This type of campaign finance reform is needed for Presidential elections as well. I think reform of the
American political system is possible. There are many movements right now that have already begun
to raise awareness of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Regulating soft money has been difficult because of constitutional issues that protect First Amendment
rights, and Congress rights over regulating political parties must be focused on preventing fraud or
corruption (Mason, 1997). Soft money is used to mobilize campaigns by using the money to support
voter registration drives, and other similar activities designed to jump start a candidates campaign
(Brennan Center, 2000). For this reason, soft money is important to an election campaign, and recently
the amount of soft money raised for campaigns has skyrocketed. It has become a concern because it is

Every report should be using at least the class text as one source for which they have a reference and
one or more in text citations. The need for referencing is limited in most cases to the class text, but
certain types of activities can very well lead to needing to cite more sources. . An excellent report
would make connections to things in the class text, and so would use in text citing to specific things in
the class text and a reference to it at the end. Also, you can cite some background information that you
find at other sources in print or online. Whatever sources you do use should be cited in the APA style
with both in text citations and a References) list at the end. But, keep in mind, most of your report is
on what you see and hear doing this. There are events that might be exceptions, but this is the general
approach here.

Littering On College Campuses
Students littering is the main issue among many schools nowadays. Littering and other food wastes
are hazardous to the campus environment as well as to the society. The problem in the community is
the littering is being done around the school campuses. As one can notice cigarettes butts are
everywhere we see around us, littering might seem harmless to some people, hence bad for others and
sometimes can be very dangerous for the living species around everyone. Students these days do not
care about their individual responsibilities as their priority. They should attain their responsibility as
an adult and should try to solve this problem. There are many resources that can be applied to fix this
problem. The most obvious solution to the littering ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is very typical problem for students all the time. Students don t think there are enough garbage
cans on campus, because people walk few step without noticing a trash can or recycling bin, they will
throw their trash on the ground. Even though trash cans are nearby sometimes, people choose not to
walk by and throw their trash away. I have experienced this before and even I have also done it. This
can relate to lazy people as well who leave their trash behind instead of wrapping after finishing work
and throwing it away. These type of behaviors and habits can sometimes come from their upbringings.
Habits can shape the personality of the person, also many characteristics of the person are emulated
from its behavior and things they do. Children learn everything by looking and observing activities
that happen surround them. So, if a child were raised by a very unmannered and careless family then
the outcomes are obviously going to be worst, those children cannot change after they are teens or
adult, they will remain same as well as their habits and behavior. Therefore; parents should develop
some good habits for their kids when they are

Examples Of English Textile Factories Were Bad For The...
Have you ever been beaten with a stick to the point of near death for a minor mistake you made? Have
you ever known someone who suffered this fate? Dr. Holmes and Mr. Baines have both said that the
abuse and conditions textile workers faced weren t that bad for most despite not having actually
worked in a factory a day in their lives. I think that Document A and C are more valid because both of
the other documents are based heavily on opinion. Document A and C explain that English textile
factories were bad for the health of working class families because machinery caused injuries,
inspections were easily passed and masters were not kind to their workers.

Document A states, accidents were very often admitted to the infirmary, through children s hands and
arms having been caught in the machinery. Document A also explains that over half of children
employed in factories were injured by machinery. In Document C, it states that before an inspection,
the workers would have to clean up and answer questions as they were told, not daring to do any
other, knowing what would happen if we told them the truth. No further inspection was done at that
factory, even though the boys were beaten with sticks, as said in paragraph 2. Document D even states
that, it is definitely true that there have been instances of abuse and cruelty in some factories.
Document B states that, they are as healthy as any other part of the working classes... . This proves
that these poor labor conditions apply to whole families not just child laborers in factories and shows
that even those who believe factories are not bad for health see that at least some aspects of factories

Human Vs Robotic Space Missions Essay
Human versus Robotic Space Missions Debate Support sending exclusively robotic missions
Supporting Statements: 1. Nowadays, with the advancing technologies, robots can perform like
humans. Robots can see , hear , touch and smell like humans. Also, robots can think like humans,
including solving problems, studying new things and adapting to new environments. (American
Ceramic Society Bulletin 5) Robots, such as rovers, landers and orbiters have done almost all the
recent space explorations in the solar system. And they gained a big success in exploring every planet
in the solar system and many of their moos. (Mann 1) 2. Robots can complete tasks impossible,

4. Sending exclusively robots to space missions is cheaper than sending humans. Human spaceflight is
really expensive and scientific goals can be more efficiently completed by robotic space crafts.
Sending an astronaut to space costs about $1.7 billion but sending a robotic space craft costs about
$500 million. (Mann 1) 5. Advancing robotic techniques have allowed the remote emplacement of
instruments on planets or moons. In this way, telepresence can be realized to instruct robots remotely.
Telepresence, which is the remote projection of human abilities into a machine, can permit field study
on space without the danger and logistical problems associated with human spaceflight. With this
technology, robots can reproduce the movements of a human operator on Earth. Humans don t need to
physically present in space missions, instead, we can just give robots orders using telepresence. (Paul
D 1) Discussion refuting arguments made by the opposing side: 1. Robots don t have the human
ability to make quick decisions in response to changing or new conditions. They can only wait for
time delayed instructions from Earth. They can only handle existing problems but can t solve
problems they meet for the first time. Human are more mobile than current robot explorers. (Mann 1)
Refute: The machines have been designed to learn from each other and past experiences, and had been
trained to act like humans. When they meet the problems new for them, they can look for

Writing A Bunch Of Illegitimate Papers
I, one of millions of first year college students, believe that I write bland essays due to the fact that my
high school English teachers failed to teach me how to think clearly and creatively. For instance, with
my twelfth English teacher, Mrs. Tuttle, there are many cases to which I felt she could ve improved
her teachings not only for me to understand how to write a well developed paper but as well as others
students. First case scenario being how she gave class activities and her teaching style. She had a way
of giving activities based on the feeling of how she felt would be a good way for us to learn the
material versus what we felt would be the best way to learn the material. These ways included little to
no group work. Writing a bunch of illegitimate papers that would be graded by my peers who had little
to no idea of what right or wrongs they were looking for. Thus for leaving me with an ambiguous
reason to what my writings were lacking or why I never made anything higher than a C in her class.
Another way would be the fact that she lived off the teaching theory of if one can do it then all can do
it . This hands down was the number reason why I could never write a well thought out, clear and
creative paper. With this method she felt that if Amanda Ho, class valedictorian, could write an
outstanding paper, then the entire Class of 2015 could write one just as well. Never coming to an
understanding that everyone wasn t Amanda Ho, everyone didn t have the brains

Trickery or Treat in Richard the Third Essays
Trickery or Treat in Richard the Third
In the play Richard III , Richard s trickery and manipulation ultimately leads to his downfall. His
goals are based on what he can get from others and how they can help him, not on helping himself.
This paper shows how Richard uses his skills of trickery and manipulation to not only move up on the
hierarchy, but to actually get elected king. He uses his trickery to get Anne his wife to help move up
his position on the hierarchy; he uses his trickery to get elected and to get his men to fight for him and
not for the better of the country.
Throughout the play Richard uses his trickery to persuade people to see things his way. In his
conversation with Anne, he makes her believe that her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Making Anne believe him was easy due to his skills to trick and manipulate others into thinking his
way. During the whole play Richard s evil ways are easy to see for the reader, but for other characters
in the play it was not so easy. He tricked and persuaded them to elect him king without even
mentioning it. When there was no one else before him on the hierarchy he had them believe he was a
holy man that was not suitable for the throne. This was all a disguise for them to just hand over the
throne and practically beg him to be king. This is best shown in the conversation between Richard,
Buckingham, Catesby, Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and citizens when Richard tells them Alas, why would
you heap this care on me? / I am unfit for state and majesty. / I do beseech you take it not amiss, / I
cannot nor I will not yield to you. (Act III, Scene vii p.145) Here Richard is using reverse psychology
to make them think he was such a humble man. When actually he is a power hungry and very
conceited man; he only does things when the outcome benefits him. He doesn t care about others, he
represents everything a king should go against: greed, manipulation, and gaining power. In Richard s
last battle he makes his men believe Richmond and Richmond s men are bad by tricking them. His
men do not follow him because they trust him, but rather, they follow him because they are

Attending School As An Adult Learner
Deciding to attend school as an adult learner, is by far the most challenging obstacle an adult learner
can do. Adults looking to advice in their education or their career look to attend school to achieve their
goals. It is a demanding, daunting task to figuring out just what you want to study, where you want to
study at, and how to attend classes. With so many options available today, where do you begin?
Knowing the options can truly make choosing a school, program, or way to attend classes an
enjoyable decision.
Deciding what you want to do when you grow up doesn t end when you grow up for most people.
Everyone longs to advance in their careers and in life, but sometimes life can get in the way. Whether
you never thought about attending college after graduating high school, or you wanted to attend
college, but started working, raising a family or though that you could not afford to go to school, there
are options that you have now that you did not have when you were younger. Many adult learners are
working adults that need a degree to move up in a company, or some just want a different career that
attending school can open up. The hardest part of the deciding to go back to school is figuring out just
what it is that you want to do. By figuring out what you want to do, whether advancing within your
current job or expending your skill base to pursue new opportunities will allow you to choose which
program would best meet your needs. Most colleges and universities offer a

motivated and helpful student who often displayed patience when working with peers. This student
was allowed to give oral responses to written responses on assessment, but then was also be
encouraged to attempt to write responses as well. The student with an IEP had a position assigned in
the lab in the corner with his left side isolated and his partner place on his better functioning right side
to take into consideration his difficulties processing language and from his left side. He was also
provided enlarged copies of lab data worksheets to assist him recording data and encouraging him to

The lesson titled POGIL Saturated and Unsaturated Solutions incorporated the use of an online PhET
interactive simulation that is free and research based. The simulation s graphics correlate well with the
material in the POGIL lesson and served as a stimulating activity to introduce the students to the
concepts of concepts of concentration and saturation. Students were encouraged to use their own

The Food And Drug Aspect Of Aphrodisiac

Being practiced in many different cultures, aphrodisiac is a legendary substance defined as any food or

either male of female (Kotta et al. 2013). Aphrodisiac could trigger one s sexual desire libido,
enhancing sex drive or sexual pleasure (Rajagopalan 2013). Active molecules crossing the blood brain

Almost all stimulants could be referred as aphrodisiacs (Rajagopalan 2013). Therefore, I will try to
come up with a more detailed category for aphrodisiac substances, through examinations for the
evidence and support that are provided in various plant and substance researches.
Direct Aphrodisiac substances that is believed to have specific effect to sexual organs
Food or substance from plant Tribulus terrestris (TT) is a worldwide distributed flowering herb that
has been used as a traditional sexual stimulant for a long time (Shamloul 2010). Animal researches
have gained significant correlation between increasing erectile function and oral administration
through the study of the plant extract (Shamloul 2010). Through increasing the sexual hormone levels,
TT may have a mechanism of enhancing erectile ability (Shamloul 2010). However, no clinical studies
have proved these and some studies have indicates that no direct correlation of TT administration and
improved human libido (Shamloul 2010; Kotta et al. 2013). Panax Ginseng is also called Asian
Ginseng from the family Araliaceae, which is a slow growing plant with fleshy roots (Shamloul 2010).
It has been used in China for centuries to treat sexual dysfunction, boost sexual desire and enhance
better sexual performance. It may improve energy level and general health as well (Farrell 2011). The

An Extreme Sense Of Nationalism In The United States
Being born into a country creates a sense of connection between person and land. Most often people
tend to feel this as pride in their country and that s defined as being patriotic but what if patriotism
goes further? This extreme sense of patriotism exists and is known as nationalism. Nationalism is
known to cloud the thoughts of many people, including high ranked country officials. Such clouded
judgements occurs, that many argue it covers the thoughts of nationalist country officials so often that
it can even create war. Is it true that War has a hunger for nationalism? Although many people argue
that nationalism cannot be the cause of international conflicts, nationalism can and is the cause of
many international conflicts because nationalism causes sense of pride and greed that, if broken, could
have prevented the start of wars, nationalism also builds up to resentment of other countries that
allows war to seem like the only answer and although other factors may set the idea of a conflict,
nationalism fuels it further into complete war. Nationalism is defined as an extreme patriotic feeling
marked by a feeling of superiority over other countries but in terms of how nationalism makes
someone act, that can be answered in two simple words: Greedy and prideful. ... Show more content

Notes On The Price Of Wheat Futures
Strategy 1:
Concerns regarding fluctuations in the price of a certain commodity in the coming future can secured
through the use of different derivative products. In the given case, prime concern of the management
of Karl s bakery is to protect itself against the future variations in the price of the wheat, as it can
impact their business in a significant way. The suitable option for the bakery is to take long position in
December wheat futures contracts as the management procures bulk of the wheat in December. It will
provide Karl s management hedge against unanticipated rise in the price of wheat. The bakery needs
to purchase almost 25,000 bushels of wheat. Therefore, 5 contracts have been purchased (each
contract is based on 5,000 bushels of wheat). Price of each contract is $5.08, and total cost of this
strategy stands at $127,000.
This position in closed on 27th October. The price of wheat futures has risen from $5.08 to $ 5.11
during the period. This price rise translated into positive gains for the bakery as it indicated rise in the
price of the underlying commodity. The management has remained successful in hedging its price risk
by taking long position in wheat futures.
Strategy 2:
Primary apprehension of a corn seller is decline in the price commodity which will impact his
revenues negatively. Short position in corn futures will lock in the future price of the corn and will
guarantee the locked price of the commodity, irrespective of the actual market price of the

Hostility Towards Transgender Students
One of the most complex and diverse populations of people are those categorized as transgender.
These people are very often the subject of intense scrutiny, discrimination, ostracism, verbal
harassment and even physical assault. These responses to a transgendered person often stems from a
lack of understanding, confusion, fear, and anxiety when interacting with these people. In order to
understand why people are so unsettled when in the presence of a transgender individual, it is essential
to fully understand the term transgender.
The American Psychological Association published a Question and Answer pamphlet (2014) to help
the public understand the Transgender population in America. The APA defines the term transgender
as an umbrella term for persons whose gender identity, gender expression, or behavior does not
conform to that typically associated with the sex which they assigned at birth (p. 1) They go on to
explain the differences between gender identity and gender expression. Gender identity is the person s
internal sense of being male, female, or something else (p. 1). Gender Expression refers to the way a
person communicates gender identity to others through their behavior, clothing, hairstyles, voice,
and/or body characteristics (p. 1). The term transsexual is defined as people whose gender identity is
different from their assigned sex (p. 1). Many of these transsexual individuals will choose to alter their
physical biology through hormone replacement

pet therapy Essays
1. Studies have shown that the children who grow up in homes with animals have a better ability to
show empathy later and as adults. Pets are easy to communicate with, and their body language is much
simpler than a human s. This simple body language allows children to learn to empathize with them, a
skill they can carry with them as they go through life (Holistic Online, 2007).
Every person needs physical touch, no matter what. We are made to thrive off of it. There are some
people that for whatever reason are not comfortable with the physical touch of another human. Many
of these people are those that have been either physically or sexually abused. The use of pet therapy
allows them to have an experience touch in a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Communication with people increases mental stimulation. Other things that have been shown to
increase mental stimulation include recalled memories and entertainment that is provided by animals.
In atmospheres that feel depression or like an institution, just the presence of animals can make it
seem much brighter. Additionally, animals increase amusement, laughter, and play for the individuals
around them. These distractions from their current situation can decrease their feelings of isolation or
alienation that go along with their situation (Holistic Online, 2007).
2. The program started at St. Mary s Hospital with just monthly group visits of one dog. This program
has proved effective and beneficial and has evolved to using several dogs three or four times a month.
They still use the dogs in a group setting, but also include individual visits to the patient s room and
bedside (Oakley, Kid Needs). When an occupational therapist uses animals in their therapy the patient,
in this case a child, will be either in their wheelchair or on a therapy mat. If the child is recovering
from a brain injury and is experiencing difficulty grooming themselves due to loss of function in an
arm, the therapist will ask the child to use their weak arm to pet or brush the dog. As the limb grows
stronger, they may add a weight to the wrist to increase their strength. They can also use an adapted
brush if the child is having

Why Do Not Football Helmets Promote Neck Injuries Essay
The goal of this project is to work towards answering the question of whether or not football helmets
promote neck injuries. In order to gather data, a U of R team made a machine that rapidly changes
speed while translating from side to side to stimulate a rotational acceleration and velocity about the
head and neck due to an angular displacement. The purpose of this machine is to simulate an
unexpected and sudden change in motion of the head in order to analyse the resulting motion. The data
collected was the rotational position of the head, the linear position of the cart, and the linear position
of a point on the body. All measurements were made with and without a helmet. In order to answer the
main question, there had to be a further understanding of how the mechanics of the head and neck
change with the addition of a helmet. To achieve this, MATLAB was used to compute the resulting
velocities and accelerations, the reaction forces at the neck, and the moment about the base of the
neck. From these calculations, it is possible to make observations about how the addition of a helmet
affects the dynamics of the head and neck. The code is structured with a script of general input data
such as the given data and labels for plots. All of the given position data was corrected to start at
position zero for better comparison between the positions with and without the helmet. The
information was then passed into a function that converted all data into the desired units, computed

Narrative Essay On Try America
Try America. Who knew that this foreign land would be where a girl, sixteen years of age, would be
living, maybe, for the rest of her life. It had always been her dream to live in a house where it almost
looks like a palace compared to the houses back in her motherland. It had always been her dream to
stroll the streets of an unfamiliar place in luck to quench the burning thirst of adventure within her.
She loves the thought of adventure. She loves the thought of exploring a new world where many are
unfamiliar to her. To see a world where there are no dust rising from the filthy grounds like of those of
her former neighborhood. To see a world where the roads are as clean and smooth as a polished
obsidian. To see a world where the trees are as green as a peridot. That sixteen year old girl is me.
Strolling the streets of my former neighborhood had been fun and was an epic adventure. An
adventure to see children playing happily in the streets, conversations between mothers over their
worn down wooden fences, and fathers who are lazily sitting on a chair under a tree smoking a
cigarette. Those were the image that are embedded in my brain. From this neighborhood, I learned
how even in some troublesome circumstances, everyone helps each other. Considering everyone
knows who is who. Everyone is polite to each other. Everyone is kind. Their are some occasional
fights from idiotic hooligans but it always ends about an argument over a bottle of beer. Gazing at
stars had always been

Petruchio And Juliet Analysis
Lastly, Kate becomes less angry from the start of the play to the end. She is angry about how her sister
Bianca is the only one who gets attention by suitors and how her father favors Bianca more. For
example, Kate was angry at Bianca for not knowing what suitor she wanted to marry, so she tied
Bianca s hands up and threaten her. Baptista walked in on her being mean to Bianca and stuck up for
Bianca and not for Kate. He didn t even try to listen to Kate which made her even angrier
(Shakespeare, 2.1). In this instance, Kate shows how she gets angry over Bianca having more suitors
and Baptista stick up for only Bianca but not for her. She gets mad because she is not getting heard or
listened to. She is very angry in the beginning because of this treatment and misunderstanding. ...

This happens in part by meeting Petruchio and finally finding someone she loves. In the last part of
the play, this scene happens, Petruchio. Why, then, let s home again. Come, sirrah, let s away.
Katherina. Nay, I will give thee a kiss; now pray thee, love, stay (Shakespeare, 5.1.2485). Kate finally
marries someone she loves, so the problem of not having attention from suitors is solved. Also,
Petruchio understands Kate and why she is the way she is. With this knowledge of Kate, he talks to
her and listens to her based on her wants. This then also solves people not listening to Kate, which
gives her no reason to be so angry all the time. In the end, by Petruchio listening and giving Kate
attention, he makes her anger less by the end of the play. Overall, Kate altering her anger from being
very prominent to less prominent demonstrates how she is a dynamic

Employee Assistance Program
name Employee Assistance Programs was given by the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and
Alcoholism (NIAAA).
In past 25 years, EAPS have grown very fast in quantity, focus, importance and scope to all
organizations. This new form of intervention has been implemented not only in the North America but
to varying degrees and in contrasting packages in other parts of world.
In varying forms EAPs have also been adopted by unions and by medical, legal and other professional
societies as well as by most civilian federal workers in the United States (Roman et al., 1987).
EAPs are not simple systems which represent and influence a groups of people, ranging from
employees to management and including, among others, families, health care networks ... Show more

Most program heads are not trained in conducting a proper evaluation.
b) Preparation. Few programs cover an evaluation phase as part of the initial planning process and
more programs lack measurable goals and moto.
c) Standardization. The changes in models complicates the development of standardized, reliable and
valid measures in the program.
d) Data Collection. In many organizations available data is less than required for conducting a
meaningful evaluation. Confidentiality may limit access to data. The presence of a control group in
organization is important.
Conclusion
Many employees and employers who have experienced EAPs view them quite positively. Decision
takers in the organization must be convinced that investing in EAPs leads to a win win situation,
Organizational performance and enhancing employees wellbeing. While it will provide guidance for
personal problems, it will not remove problems like absenteeism, accidents or morale problems. The
major drawback of many EAPs is that they are geared towards microscopic intervention, after the
facts. Final conclusion seems to be evident: regardless of the approach chosen, regardless of the scope
and technology used, EAPs are in the market to

Interpretive Essay on Edward Taylor s Poem, Huswifery
Interpretive Essay on Edward Taylor s Poem, Huswifery
In the poem, Huswifery, by Edward Taylor, a very severe shift seems to take place. The poem begins
with an analogy between the writer and a spinning wheel. However, at the end of the poem suddenly
he is no longer the spinning wheel, he is now a man wearing the cloth that was spun by the spinning
wheel. How could the main analogy of the poem shift so drastically? Actually, upon closer inspection,
the shift does not seem so bizarre. The main idea of the poem is followed through from beginning to
end. It is the story of a man who is truly devoted to the Lord and how his relationship with the Lord
evolves from the point where he is seeking God in his life to the point where he has found ... Show

The yarn is fine. Going along with the fabric = heart analogy, this would seem to indicate that he
wants the Lord to pull together the pieces of his heart, bring together all of his thoughts and affections
and focus them into one beautiful creation. The The yarn is fine. part of the line displays a feeling of
fragility. He does not believe that he is capable of shaping his heart himself, and this is why he must
hand it over to the Lord. In his mind, if he tries to do it on his own, the pieces will most likely break
(since the yarn is thin) and he will be just another tattered rag thrown by the wayside, not usable for its
intended purpose.
Once he has been completely woven, and all the essentials of a God serving heart are completed, he
then goes on to ask of the Lord that He not just leave him plain and dull. He wants to be dyed with
heavenly colors choice. and pinked with varnished flowers of paradise. A garment that has been
woven and is left plain is very functional for the owner of that garment, but will not be beautiful or
attractive to others. No one else will feel a great desire to have a similar one for themselves. One
possible interpretation of this point is to think that the author is now turning away from God and
seeking his own glory, asking that others be envious of him. However, this would not fall in line with
the very humble, God serving attitude displayed throughout each of the stanzas. It seems more likely
that he desires

Essay Biological Explanations of Criminal Behaviour
Crime theories are still in a development stage; it is an evolutionary process that continues to this day.
Crime is still a complex and misunderstood phenomenon with no concrete evidence when it comes to
human behavior. Throughout time there have been endless amounts of crime theories, few of which
revolve around biological explanations. We have Cesare Lombroso and the Positive School who
thought that criminals were genetically different from the rest of the general population, that they were
biologically aggressive, had criminal traits and/or born as criminals. There is also William Sheldon s
theory of body types, called the somatotype theory, that argued the mesomorph body type to be the
most prone to commit crime or deviant behavior. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sheldon created the idea of the three different body types and concluded mesomorphs, the more
muscular and athletic body type, is more prone to commit crime and deviant behavior. Although he
did not take into consideration that many prisoners lift weights while in prison and that the more
muscular individuals usually win the fight (Cartwright, 2012). The twin adoption studies were used by
behavioral geneticists to identify genetic and environmental influences underlying human behavioral
and physical variations. Although there were many detractors of the twin adoption studies themselves
and their results. There were troubles finding subjects which lead to a reduced power of result and
inconsistency of the methods used for the operation. In contemporary biological explanations there are
still works appearing and being developed, such as, the role of DNA, nutrition, body chemistry and
ecological factors in human behavior (Gado, 2004). Most of these are either still being developed, like
DNA, or were discredited along with the works of Lombroso, like nutrition. Although biological
explanations may not have made a momentous improvement since the 18th century, arguments within
biological explanations have expanded. There are many theories that argue if human behavior is
predetermined at birth, or learned by influences. Nature versus nurture,

Dr. Ben Carson As A Leader Of A Nation
As the United States prepares for the coming presidential race in 2016, circumstances throw into
question which qualities a candidate should possess in order to be successful and make a positive
impact on the nation. Looking into the past, one can surmise that the best leaders must be brave, and
filled with indomitable courage, compassion, and hope. The president is one leading millions and
making key decisions which have enormous ramifications. As the leader of a nation, he or she speaks
out in times of joy and crisis, setting the tone for the entire government body. Dr. Ben Carson is a

(taleoftwocarsons), If Ben Carson were to read The Autobiography of Malcolm X, it could reconnect
him with his past, his community, and a shared struggle that has led to a shared strength. Malcolm X is
the pinnacle example of a man from humble beginnings finding himself, his connection to others, and
his voice. His humility made him authentic, meaningful, and resonant with society at large. The
Autobiography of Malcolm X has been in continuous publication since its first edition was printed in
1965. Not only a canonized text of Malcolm X s story, it also contains such an important perspective

New York Times called the book, Extrordinary. A brilliant, painful, important book (X). Spike Lee,
American director who directed the film Malcolm X, Praised the autobiography as, The most

IMF and World Bank Group
The IMF (International Monetary Fund) and World Bank were both founded in 1944, during a UN
conference held in Bretton Woods in the United States.
Delegates specializing in the field of economic policy attended from 44 countries, with the shared goal
of establishing a framework of economic cooperation, in the hope of avoiding future financial
instability on a scale witnessed during the Great Depression of the 1930 s.
The IMF is currently accountable to and governed by 189 countries, all of which play a part in
delivering its primary goals of promoting international financial stability and monetary cooperation,
through its activities of Surveillance, Financial, and Technical Assistance. (Imforg, 2016)

The Dam is one of many to be constructed to provide an irrigation system known as the Sardar Sarova

The controversy around the World Bank s involvement in the project started when it approved its loan
for the Narmada Dam two years ahead of the Ministry of Environments provided their endorsements
to proceed, which directly contravenes World Bank policies. (Umichedu, 2016)
A formal request was raised by the Save the Narmada movement (NBA) in 1988 for work on the
Narmada Projects to stop, while concerns around government resettlement and rehabilitation programs
were still continuing to being addressed. (Umichedu, 2016) The World Bank assembled an

The findings of the independent review committee (Morse Report) published in 1992, were found to
endorse the main concerns of the NBA. The World Bank unhappy with their conclusions responded by
sending out the Pamela Cox Committee, whose findings completely contradicted those presented in
the Morse Report.

international pressure they received regarding the Pamela Cox

Research Paper On Jack The Ripper
Over a hundred and twenty five years later Jack the Ripper, a murderer from the East End of London,
who has yet to be found and more than likely to be dead by now, still rings bells of interest as well as
terror all over the world. His case is known as The Whitechapel Murders, and has yet to be solved.
During the era in which Ripper was active, there were eleven murders committed in London; however,
the Ripper is only believed to be directly responsible for five of these victims ( The Whitechapel
Murder Victims ). Although his well known name has rung bells for over a century, many still
question how he has remained so famous in the first place. Understandably so, since unquestionably
there have been more massive serial killers since Rippers era, being that Rippers accreditation is only
to five victims killed within a twelve or so week period. On the other hand, to understand why Ripper
is still so famous, it is essential to understand his killings beyond the surface. It is not just how many
he murdered, but where he killed, the name for which he became known as, and the simple fact that
people still want answers.
Understanding where the Ripper killed and why it plays such an important role in his case is the first
part of going beyond the surface. Many know that Jack the Ripper is a murderer from the East End of
London, who killed near Whitechapel Road, that as valid as it is, remains only a simple fact. People
fail to realize there is more to the story than that.

  • 2. Journal Analyzing the Byronic Hero and Lord Byron’s... A Journal Analyzing the Byronic Hero, Those who Closely Resemble the Hero, Byron s Writing Styles and Literary Criticism (Journal entry 1, Defining the Byronic Hero) The Byronic Hero is a term derived from the poetic narrative, Childe Harold s Pilgrimage, by Lord Byron. Though the idea of the Byronic Hero originated with the creation of Byron s characters, Byron himself possessed the physical features associated with the Byronic Hero. These features include dark brooding eyes, dark hair, pale skin and a slender frame. The Byronic hero derived from Childe Harold s Pilgrimage, strays away from the typical hero role by possessing dual characteristics of good as well as evil, And had been glorious in another day: but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The elevated emotional state of the Byronic Hero leads him to be or appear egocentric and introverted hating the world he had almost forgot , characteristics which deter from the standardized hero who fights for the good of man kind. Guilt from the past also plagues the Byronic Hero, for he through Sin s labyrinth had run, nor made atonement when he did amiss... (Byron,C.H.181). The haunting illusion to past wrongs or sins taints the Hero and casts a shadow over his overall character and deeds. Due to his past the Hero often carries some form of defect (physical or physiological), a heart and harp have lost a string... (Byron,C.H. 210) that further isolates him from society. (Journal entry 2, Ichabod Resembling the Byronic Hero) No characters outside of the characters created by Lord Byron himself could fully encompass the idea of the Byronic Hero, though many narratives have since been created which bare notable resemblance. Washington Irving created such a character when he wrote the story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Though Ichabod (the main character within the Irving narrative) embodies qualities of the Byronic Hero, he fails to fully mirror the concept. Ichabod s physical persona is described as tall, but exceedingly lank, with narrow shoulders, long arms and legs, hands that dangled a mile out of his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While this is understandable considering the message that Spencer has been known to preach, the Ohio State University has been accused of denying Richard Spencer his first amendment right. An attorney for Ohio State told Spencer that while the University valued freedom of speech, the speach would cause a serious threat to public safety. Spencer s response was a lawsuit against Ohio State University. Spencer had sued several other schools in the past as they wouldn t allow him to speak and it appears that he has now sued Ohio State. • 4. , Apollonius Of RhodesThe Argonautika, And Ovid s... All based on the same myth of Jason and Medea, Euripides Medea, Apollonius of Rhodes the Argonautika, and Ovid s Metamorphoses each describe a unique version of the same character. The initial characterization of Medea in Euripides play serves as the basis in which both Apollonius and Ovid base their interpretation of Medea. Although each, in its own defining events, shape a similar Medea who overcomes similar difficulties, the execution of each calls for a different interpretation of the woman by the reader. The organization of each story immensely effects the perspective given to the reader. Euripides play skims over the actual events that take place throughout the story and revolves around the outcome of these events. Leaving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Still today, we see many unfaithful marriages, but murder is not an option. A spouse who murders his cheating wife is more wrong than the wife who cheated in the first place, and killing his children to get revenge would be an unspeakable deed. A reader from today can t relate to the thought process of Medea, which lends a slim margin to any sympathy for the character. Euripides, however, does create slight sympathy for her when she mentions her lack of family and friends due to betraying them to be with Jason, who in turn betrays her. This piece of Euripides story, though, is too miniscule to counteract the menacing thoughts of Medea. This same small mention is brought about in Ovid s version, but it also is just a brief point without much depth. The Argonautika takes a much more sympathetic route by describing Medea as a much younger, innocent girl. The fact that the second story shows the beginning more in depth leads the reader to see the hardships that may have led her to become the bitter woman Euripides depicts. Neither Euripides nor Ovid include the hateful image of Medea s father, which gives an immediate understanding to the reader as to why Medea can never go back to her homeland. Her betrayal to her father was too great. The readers of the time, knowing the outcome of the story, would have been shown why Medea plotted against Jason the way she did because the hardships she faces to help Jason are explained. Not only was her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Each position varied our way of picking certain stocks to choose from. Our first trade was a short straddled position of the company American Water Works Company (NYSE: AWK). This company is under utilities industry with a sub industry of water and wastewater, it also owns a few subsidiaries that manage municipal drinking water. This company operates in the United States and Canada, and is known to be the largest and most geographically diverse, publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company. • 6. Marketing to Children Kaitlin Schultz April 20, 2005 Prof. Kovach Response Paper Marketing Children Child obesity is a growing problem in today s society. On average 28% of girls age 6 11 are overweight. Pediatricians are now seeing more and more children with high levels of cholesterol, high blood pressure, and adult on set diabetes. In 1997 American children obtained 50% of their calories from added fat and sugar and only 1% of children s diets resembled the recommended proportions of the Food Pyramid. The amount of money that is spent marketing to children is outrageous. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marketers understand that no child is too young to be targeted by television; many of these programs are linked directly to commercial products. For example, Burger King then McDonald s sponsored the public television show Teletubbies (show for toddlers). McDonald s distributed toys of the four characters in their happy meals. It is estimated that advertising for children has now reached over $1 billion. The most common advertised foods seen are not surprisingly low in nutritional value; products such as, presweetened breakfast cereals, candy, fast food, sodas, cookies, and chips. Its safes to say the money isn t being spent on advertising of fruits, vegetables, bread, or fish. Another largely upsetting report found that food commercials stimulate antisocial behavior in children. Commercials aimed to children are overly dependent on socially negative material, violence, conflict, and/or trickery. Food companies purposefully entice children by placing logos on toys, games, clothing, and school supplies. They even go as far as to sponsor clubs, produce magazines, buy time in movies, obtain celebrity endorsers, and add their logo to baby bottles. For example, McDonald s offers cups, toys, placemats, movie coupons, special toys, and logo labeled items for all occasions. • 7. Example Of Campaign Finance Reform Campaign Finance Reform It is time that the voters are the only one s deciding elections. Candidates should be running on issues, not money. They should not be allowed to get money from wealthy investors, who keep the playing field unlevel. Any person who wants to run for office, and is qualified to run for office, should be able to regardless if they have a lot of money to set up a campaign or not. It is time for Campaign Finance Reform. The Fair Elections Now Act was introduced by Senator Durbin of Illinois in February 2014, and it would change the way Congressional candidates can finance their elections. The Act stipulates that qualified Congressional candidates would earn grants, matching funds, and television vouchers based on a minimum amount of small dollar contributions from their local community (Durbin, 2015). This bill has still not been adopted, or accepted into law. This type of campaign finance reform is needed for Presidential elections as well. Littering and other food wastes are hazardous to the campus environment as well as to the society. The problem in the community is the littering is being done around the school campuses. As one can notice cigarettes butts are everywhere we see around us, littering might seem harmless to some people, hence bad for others and sometimes can be very dangerous for the living species around everyone. This can relate to lazy people as well who leave their trash behind instead of wrapping after finishing work and throwing it away. These type of behaviors and habits can sometimes come from their upbringings. Habits can shape the personality of the person, also many characteristics of the person are emulated from its behavior and things they do. Children learn everything by looking and observing activities that happen surround them. So, if a child were raised by a very unmannered and careless family then the outcomes are obviously going to be worst, those children cannot change after they are teens or adult, they will remain same as well as their habits and behavior. Have you ever known someone who suffered this fate? Dr. Holmes and Mr. Baines have both said that the abuse and conditions textile workers faced weren t that bad for most despite not having actually worked in a factory a day in their lives. I think that Document A and C are more valid because both of the other documents are based heavily on opinion. No further inspection was done at that factory, even though the boys were beaten with sticks, as said in paragraph 2. Document D even states that, it is definitely true that there have been instances of abuse and cruelty in some factories. Document B states that, they are as healthy as any other part of the working classes... . Nowadays, with the advancing technologies, robots can perform like humans. Robots can see , hear , touch and smell like humans. Also, robots can think like humans, including solving problems, studying new things and adapting to new environments. (American Ceramic Society Bulletin 5) Robots, such as rovers, landers and orbiters have done almost all the recent space explorations in the solar system. Sending exclusively robots to space missions is cheaper than sending humans. Human spaceflight is really expensive and scientific goals can be more efficiently completed by robotic space crafts. Sending an astronaut to space costs about $1.7 billion but sending a robotic space craft costs about $500 million. (Mann 1) 5. Advancing robotic techniques have allowed the remote emplacement of instruments on planets or moons. In this way, telepresence can be realized to instruct robots remotely. Telepresence, which is the remote projection of human abilities into a machine, can permit field study on space without the danger and logistical problems associated with human spaceflight. With this technology, robots can reproduce the movements of a human operator on Earth. Humans don t need to physically present in space missions, instead, we can just give robots orders using telepresence. (Paul D 1) Discussion refuting arguments made by the opposing side: 1. • 13. Writing A Bunch Of Illegitimate Papers I, one of millions of first year college students, believe that I write bland essays due to the fact that my high school English teachers failed to teach me how to think clearly and creatively. For instance, with my twelfth English teacher, Mrs. Tuttle, there are many cases to which I felt she could ve improved her teachings not only for me to understand how to write a well developed paper but as well as others students. First case scenario being how she gave class activities and her teaching style. She had a way of giving activities based on the feeling of how she felt would be a good way for us to learn the material versus what we felt would be the best way to learn the material. These ways included little to no group work. Writing a bunch of illegitimate papers that would be graded by my peers who had little to no idea of what right or wrongs they were looking for. Thus for leaving me with an ambiguous reason to what my writings were lacking or why I never made anything higher than a C in her class. Another way would be the fact that she lived off the teaching theory of if one can do it then all can do it . This hands down was the number reason why I could never write a well thought out, clear and creative paper. With this method she felt that if Amanda Ho, class valedictorian, could write an outstanding paper, then the entire Class of 2015 could write one just as well. His goals are based on what he can get from others and how they can help him, not on helping himself. This paper shows how Richard uses his skills of trickery and manipulation to not only move up on the hierarchy, but to actually get elected king. He uses his trickery to get Anne his wife to help move up his position on the hierarchy; he uses his trickery to get elected and to get his men to fight for him and not for the better of the country. Making Anne believe him was easy due to his skills to trick and manipulate others into thinking his way. During the whole play Richard s evil ways are easy to see for the reader, but for other characters in the play it was not so easy. He tricked and persuaded them to elect him king without even mentioning it. When there was no one else before him on the hierarchy he had them believe he was a holy man that was not suitable for the throne. This was all a disguise for them to just hand over the throne and practically beg him to be king. This is best shown in the conversation between Richard, Buckingham, Catesby, Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and citizens when Richard tells them Alas, why would you heap this care on me? / I am unfit for state and majesty. / I do beseech you take it not amiss, / I cannot nor I will not yield to you. (Act III, Scene vii p.145) Here Richard is using reverse psychology to make them think he was such a humble man. When actually he is a power hungry and very conceited man; he only does things when the outcome benefits him. He doesn t care about others, he represents everything a king should go against: greed, manipulation, and gaining power. This extreme sense of patriotism exists and is known as nationalism. Nationalism is known to cloud the thoughts of many people, including high ranked country officials. Such clouded judgements occurs, that many argue it covers the thoughts of nationalist country officials so often that it can even create war. Is it true that War has a hunger for nationalism? Although many people argue that nationalism cannot be the cause of international conflicts, nationalism can and is the cause of many international conflicts because nationalism causes sense of pride and greed that, if broken, could have prevented the start of wars, nationalism also builds up to resentment of other countries that allows war to seem like the only answer and although other factors may set the idea of a conflict, nationalism fuels it further into complete war. These people are very often the subject of intense scrutiny, discrimination, ostracism, verbal harassment and even physical assault. These responses to a transgendered person often stems from a lack of understanding, confusion, fear, and anxiety when interacting with these people. In order to understand why people are so unsettled when in the presence of a transgender individual, it is essential to fully understand the term transgender. The American Psychological Association published a Question and Answer pamphlet (2014) to help the public understand the Transgender population in America. The APA defines the term transgender as an umbrella term for persons whose gender identity, gender expression, or behavior does not conform to that typically associated with the sex which they assigned at birth (p. 1) They go on to explain the differences between gender identity and gender expression. Gender identity is the person s internal sense of being male, female, or something else (p. 1). Gender Expression refers to the way a person communicates gender identity to others through their behavior, clothing, hairstyles, voice, and/or body characteristics (p. 1). The term transsexual is defined as people whose gender identity is different from their assigned sex (p. 1). • 24. Why Do Not Football Helmets Promote Neck Injuries Essay The goal of this project is to work towards answering the question of whether or not football helmets promote neck injuries. In order to gather data, a U of R team made a machine that rapidly changes speed while translating from side to side to stimulate a rotational acceleration and velocity about the head and neck due to an angular displacement. The purpose of this machine is to simulate an unexpected and sudden change in motion of the head in order to analyse the resulting motion. The data collected was the rotational position of the head, the linear position of the cart, and the linear position of a point on the body. All measurements were made with and without a helmet. In order to answer the main question, there had to be a further understanding of how the mechanics of the head and neck change with the addition of a helmet. To achieve this, MATLAB was used to compute the resulting velocities and accelerations, the reaction forces at the neck, and the moment about the base of the neck. From these calculations, it is possible to make observations about how the addition of a helmet affects the dynamics of the head and neck. The code is structured with a script of general input data such as the given data and labels for plots. All of the given position data was corrected to start at position zero for better comparison between the positions with and without the helmet. The information was then passed into a function that converted all data into the desired units, computed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Crime is still a complex and misunderstood phenomenon with no concrete evidence when it comes to human behavior. We have Cesare Lombroso and the Positive School who thought that criminals were genetically different from the rest of the general population, that they were biologically aggressive, had criminal traits and/or born as criminals.
