2. What emotional impact do
you want your photography
to have upon the reader?
How?
I want to attract the reader and make
them feel as though my magazine is
interesting and worth reading. I want
the photography to grab the reader and
be noticeable. However, I want the
photography to allow the textual
information featured to be easily seen
and easily noticed.
3. What personnel do you
need? Who are you going
to photograph?
For my photographs, I am using one
female model. Doing this will help to
reach a further target audience as they
will be able to clearly see someone on
the front cover which would add impact.
I think the photographs will work well as
the model will be able to pose in
various ways in the location that I have
chosen for the shoot.
4. What props will you need?
I will not be using any props for my
photographs as I think that the photos
will look better and be more focused on
the model rather than the equipment.
5. How are you going to
emphasise colour?
To emphasise colour, I plan to make
parts of the photograph in monochrome
so the colour stands out.
6. Have you briefed your
personnel/models?
I have briefed my model; she is aware
of how the images will be taken and
know the reasons as to why I am taking
the photographs.
7. What lighting will you
need? Any other
equipment?
I am using a flash on my photographs
of the model as they will be taken in
darkness when there is no natural
lighting. If the flash does not look right,
I will take them at a different time of
day so I am able to use natural lighting
instead.
8. Where will you shoot? Will
you need a backdrop
I plan to take my photos in a park
therefore I will not need a backdrop as
the photos will be taken with the
scenery behind. However for the front
cover, I plan to have a plain
background, which will be created in
Photoshop during the editing process
of the images.
9. Make-up? Costume?
For the makeup, I plan to use dark
colours but bright lipstick to make the
model stand out. For the costume, the
model will be wearing dark coloured
clothing with maroon doc martins and
an expander in her ear.
