2. For my ancillary task, I plan on making it similar to the SCREAM
magazine cover as there are aspects to which I wish to highlight within
my own cover. I genuinely love the left hand side banner ad bottom
banner which contain attention grabbing and audience enticing
information. Continuing I appreciate the layout of the cover, including
the “PLUS” section and exclusive interview title design. In regards to
colour schemes – I intend on using reds to illustrate the gore side of the
magazine, dark colours to highlight the dark presence illustrated within
the magazines, the white and yellow to grasp the audience and draw
them towards the magazine.
4. Final Decisions:
The final design I have chosen to
use is the one illustrating a profile
image of a girl who is half
skeleton – I feel this highlights the
terror of the situation as well as
foreshadowing events within the
film.
5. Props:
Prop wise, I do not believe I will need any props as we will be using
make-up to create the image I wish to illustrate.
6. Make Up:
Make up wise- I was thinking of using a smokey eye shadow look with the
addition of winged eyeliner and red lipstick. This look is often associated with
danger or mystery and can be used as a way of intriguing the audience.
By doing this, I will also use the dark colours around her eyes to highlight and
foreshadow the fear that looms over her.
Continuing, to create the skull look I wish to achieve we will
be using snazaroo face make up to illustrate Katie's face,
along with this we will also be using eye liner, eye
shadow and mascara.
7. Costume:
The girl in the image will be dressed in casual where – most likely a
hoodie or jacket, this will enhance the casual feeling highlighted at the
beginning of the trailer.
8. Shooting Schedule
In relation to my shooting schedule we will be shooting for my
magazine on November 14th for my trailer as I am using Kerry
Garnhams make up services to illustrate the image I wish to achieve and
she is only available on this date.
9. Preparation
We began the preparation for the photo shoot at 2pm on Friday,
November 14th – at this point we began to add make up to Katie's face.
We then began our photo shoot at 3pm in the Music Department. I chose
this setting as I believe the Music Department has the best lighting for
the shoot.
