A Measurements Project on Light Detection sensorsvrohith 9
The main aim of this project is to saving system with LDR this is to save the power. We want to save power automatically instead of doing manual. So it’s easy to cost effectiveness. This saved power can be used in some other cases. So in villages, towns etc. we can design intelligent systems for the usage of light or we can also use this to reduce the electricity bill of our home. This project can also be used for security of the houses, banks, etc.

AUTOMATIC LIGHT & DARK SENSING SYSTEM WITH MOSQUITO REPELLENT CIRCUITShahrukh Javed
DESCRIPTION
It is a simple and powerful concept, which uses transistor (BC 547) as a switch to switch ON and OFF the light automatically & a Light Dependent Resistors (LDR) which senses the light, made from a piece of exposed semiconductor material i.e cadmium sulphide, that changes its electrical resistance from several thousand Ohms in the dark to only a few hundred Ohms, when light hits the device, the photons give electrons energy by creating hole-electron pairs in the material. This makes them jump into the conductive band and thereby conduct electricity.
The circuit automatically switches ON lights when the light goes below the visible region & automatically switches OFF lights when light fall on it, by using a sensor which senses the light just like our eyes.
Also, the circuit has a long response time requiring many seconds to respond to a change in the light intensity.

Picking up a suitable doorbell can be bit tricky. There is always a battle between price and features. There is a general perception that higher the price, better the quality. To some extent this is true, but not always, at least in the case of a wireless doorbell.
Timer with audible warning with circuit Diagram Team Kuk
From detectors to automobiles, audible alarms (also known to be called buzzers) have become a part of our everyday life. Some of the uses of these alarms are innocuous such as in a microwave oven. However, in some applications such as in a smoke detector or medical equipment, a person’s life may depend upon the audible warning sound. In all cases, the equipment designer should consider the desired characteristics of the audible alarm at the initial design-planning phase to obtain satisfactory performance and avoid costly redesign. The first characteristic for a designer to consider is the type of sound such as a continuous, intermittent or specialty sound. Other critical criteria include sound level, frequency, current draw, quality, mounting configuration, cost, and availability

The term amplifier refers to any device that increases the amplitude of a signal, usually measured in voltage or current. This versatile device is used in a variety of different electronic applications. Especially in audio technology, a wide range of amplifiers can be produced based on product specifications (i.e. power, voltage, current). Currently, there are many types of audio amplifiers available for consumers. Sound signal amplification is used for instruments, such as the guitar or the bass. They are also used commonly in home theater systems and with stereo speakers. The basic design behind all of these amplifiers is derived from the simplest concepts of circuit design.
For our project, we set out to design an audio amplifier. The inputs of our circuit were stereo signals from a portable music player. Although we used a low-power speaker, we needed to achieve approximately three times gain over the entire circuit. In addition, the amplifier had to be produced at a low cost with available materials. Before building the actual amplifier, we realized that we had to design, simulate, and test the circuit. Each step was necessary to understand the concepts involved in amplification
I used Mutual Inductance principle in which the two coils of wire are brought into close proximity with each other so the magnetic field from one links with the other, a voltage will be generated in the second coil as a result magnetically-induced voltage only happens when the magnetic field flux is present.
Listening is an active process where listeners SELECT and INTERPRET information that comes from visual and auditory clues in order to define what is going on and what speakers are trying to express.
Timer 555 is wired as an unstable multivibrator. The multi vibrator will work only when water flows through the water tap and complete the circuit connection. It oscillates at about 1 kHz.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. Introduction : Door Knock Alarm
This is a simple circuit that activates an alarm when there is a knock on the
door or there are any vibrations due to movement of heavy goods or
furniture. The circuit uses readily available components.
5. Printed Circuit Board: -
A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically connects
electronic components using conductive tracks, pads and other
features etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-
conductive substrate. PCBs can be single sided (one copper layer), double
sided (two copper layers) or multi-layer (outer and inner layers). Multi-layer
PCBs allow for much higher component density. Advanced PCBs may contain
components - capacitors, resistors or active devices - embedded in the
substrate.
6. LED
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a p–n junction diode, which
emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine
with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons.
7. Diode 1N4007
A diode is a specialized electronic component with two electrodes called the anode and the cathode. Most
diodes are made with semiconductor materials such as silicon, germanium, or selenium. The 1N4007 is a
family of popular 1.0 A (ampere) general purpose silicon rectifier diodes commonly used in AC adapters for
common household appliances.
8. Resistor
A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical
resistance as a circuit element. Resistors act to reduce current flow, and at the same time
act to lower voltage levels within circuits. In electronic circuits, resistors are used to
limit current flow, to adjust signal levels, bias active elements, and
terminate transmission lines among other uses
9. Transistor: -
A transistor is a semiconductor device used
to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power.
It is composed of semiconductor material with at least three
terminals for connection to an external circuit.
BC547 is mainly used for amplification and switching
purposes. It has a maximum current gain of 800. Its
equivalent transistors are BC548 and BC549.
10. IC LM324 Description
LM324 is a 14pin IC consisting of four
independent operational amplifiers (op-amps)
compensated in a single package. Op-amps are
high gain electronic voltage amplifier with
differential input and, usually, a single-ended
output. The output voltage is many times higher
than the voltage difference between input
terminals of an op-amp.
These op-amps are operated by a single power
supply LM324 and need for a dual supply is
eliminated. They can be used as amplifiers,
comparators, oscillators, rectifiers etc. The
conventional op-amp applications can be more
easily implemented with LM324.

14. Circuit And Working
The circuit is built around quad-opamp LM324 (IC1), which is configured in
amplifier mode. It uses buzzer as the input sensor, two transistors BC547 (T1
through T2), a buzzer and some other components for the alarm circuit.
The reference voltage at pin 3 of IC1 is set by trimming potentiometer VR1.
The buzzer element plate is fixed at the center of the door. Apply a small
quantity of adhesive on the edges between the plates. Wires from the buzzer
are connected at CON2. These generate an input pulse when vibrations are
caused by knocking on the door. The pulse is amplified by op-amp A1 of IC1.
Remaining three op-amps of quad IC LM324 are not used here.
15. Cont…
The output of A1 of LM324 from pin 1 is further amplified by transistors T1
and T2 to drive the piezo buzzer or relay. Because of the presence of high-
value capacitor C5, the buzzer remains active for a few seconds. The circuit
is powered by 9V/12V power supply. Sensitivity of the circuit can be adjusted
by 1M potmeter VR1.
