PRESENTATION
BEST OF LUCK
Cellular network evolved gradually .Generations of computer network like 1st generation (1g) ,second generation (2g) evolved .Then came 3g ,4g, each time with increased speed and security
Wireless phone standards have a life of their own. You can tell, because they are spoken of reverently in terms of generations. There's Great-Granddad, whose pioneering story pre-dates cellular; Grandma and Grandpa 1G, or analog cellular, Mom and Dad 2G, or digital cellular; 3G wireless, 4G, 5G and so on. This is a survey report on this technologies.
Abstract:The number of people using mobile phone in the world has exceeded 4.5 billion and this figure is continuing to grow. For the past several years, mobile data traffic such as internet access, the downloading of music and video communication has been nearly tripling every year. With the popularity of smartphones, mobile data traffic will increase 200 times in the 7 to 8 years upto 2020.There are high expectations that Long Term Evolution (LTE) which is known as 3.9G wireless system will be a new service platform that can support a huge amount of mobile data traffic. This paper describes the features, technology and network architecture of LTE & also provides an overview of next generation telecommunication network LTE, which is started commercially in December 2010 in Japan (started by DOCOMO), realizing high speed wireless access. It also outlines the further trends towards a further speed increase. Keywords-Circuit Switching, GSM, HSPA, LTE, Packet Switching, WiMAX
A book which covers all available telecom systems, shows inter-relationships, and also covers aspects of data communications and some aspects of IT Infrastructure. Useful guide to practising professionals and to students wishing to build a career in these fields in industry.l

Wireless and Mobile Computing Build Secure and Maintain Wireless SolutionsYogeshIJTSRD
Today’s fast growing world needs faster communication. Technology is making rapid progress and is making many things easier. The innovative idea’s that have been emerged from the tender minds of young scientists led to the evolution of many techniques where our present topic -˜MOBILE COMPUTING’ fits in. “MOBILE COMPUTING- and COMMUNICATIONS is a major part of wireless communication technology. Mobile computing in means computing done by intermittently connected users who access network resources. It requires a wireless medium such as cellular radio, radio nets and low orbit satellites. It incorporates wireless adapters using cellular telephone technology to connect portable computers with the cabled network. Mobile voice communication is widely established throughout the world and had a very rapid increase in the number of subscribers to the various cellular networks over the last few years. An extension of this technology is the ability to send and receive data across these cellular networks. This is the principle of mobile computing. Mobile data communication has become a very important and rapidly evolving technology as it allows users to transmit data from remote locations to other remote or fixed locations. This proves to be the solution to the biggest problem of business people on the move mobility. We in this paper describes about the Mobility Services Architecture which supports applications by a middleware stub. Mobile Computing evolved during the last few years as a result of shrinking portables and growing wireless networks. It enlarges the usability of computers, but raises demanding challenges. The paper describes about the methodology, problems in wireless industry, and how J2SE is used in this technology .The paper concludes with the pros and cons of this mobile computing and its future. 5G technologies will change the way most high-bandwidth users access their phones. With 5G pushed over a VOIP-enabled device, people will experience a level of call volume and data transmission never experienced before.5G technology is offering the services in Product Engineering, Documentation, supporting electronic transactions (e-Payments, e-transactions) etc. As the customer becomes more and more aware of the mobile phone technology, he or she will look for a decent package all together, including all the advanced features a cellular phone can have. Hence the search for new technology is always the main motive of the leading cell phone giants to out innovate their competitors. Recently apple has produced shivers all around the electronic world by launching its new handset, the I-phone. Features that are getting embedded in such a small piece of electronics are huge.
5G Technology stands for the 5th Generation Mobile technology. 5G is a next major phase of mobile telecommunications standards beyond the 4G standards. 5G is expected to provide speed upto 10Gbit/s, wider frequency band,
high increased peak bit rate, high system spectral efficiency, ubiquitous connectivity and a significant increase in QoS as
compared to current 4G technology. Evolution of mobile communication technology to 5G is discussed in this review, followed by protocol stack and 5G architecture. A wide comparison is given between the various generations so as to compare why 5G technology is better and needed.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2. PROTOCOLS, METHODS
AND DEVICES!
HTTP
HTTP- HYPER TEXT TRANSFER
PROTOCOL
This protocol is an application
protocol for distributed,
collaborative, hypermedia
information systems. This is the
foundation of data for the World
Wide Web.
Hyper Text is structured in a way
that uses logical links between nodes
containing text.
WAP
WAP- WIRELESS APPLICATION
PROTOCOL
This is a technical standard for
accessing information over a mobile
wireless network. A WAP browser is
a web browser that allows mobile
devices like mobile phones to use the
protocol.
Most modern handset internet
browsers now support full HTML
and do not need to use WAP.
3. PROTOCOLS, METHODS
AND DEVICES!
GSM
GSM- GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR
MOBILE.
This was developed by the European
Telecommunications Standards
Institute in order to describe
protocols for second generation
networks used by mobile phones.
This standard was developed as a
replacement for first generation
analog cellular networks and was
optimized for full duplex voice
telephony.
3G
3G- 3RD GENERATION
PROTOCOL.
This is the 3rd generation of mobile
telecommunications technology. It is
based on a set of standards used for
mobile devices and services and
networks.
3G finds the application with
wireless voice telephony, mobile
internet access, fixed wireless
internet access, video calls and
mobile TV.
4. PROTOCOLS, METHODS
AND DEVICES!
4G
This is the fourth
generation of mobile
telecommunications
succeeding 3G.
It provides mobile ultra-
broadband internet
access, for example
laptops with USB wireless
modems.
Even though 4G is
successful and is better
than 3G, there can be some
issues as many of the
upgrades were not built on
forward compatibility
GPRS
GPRS- GENERAL PACKET RADIO
SERVICE.
This is a packet oriented mobile data
service on the 2G and 3G cellular
communications system's global
system for mobile communications.
GPRS usage is typically based on
volume of data transferred,
contrasting with circuit switched
data, which is usually billed per
minute of connection time.
5. PROTOCOLS, METHODS
AND DEVICES!
BLUETOOTH
Bluetooth is a wireless
technology for exchanging data over
short distances from fixed and mobile
devices, and building personal
networks.
It was invented by
telecom vendor Ericsson in 1994
and it was originally conceived as
a wireless alternative to data cables. It
can also to connect
to several devices, overcoming
problems of synchronization.
BROADBAND
This refers to the wide
bandwidth characteristics of a
transmission medium and
its ability to transport
multiple signals and
traffic types simultaneously.
In contrast, baseband describes a
communication system in
which information is
transported across a single channel.
6. PROTOCOLS,
METHODS AND DEVICES!
VoIP
VoIP- VOICEOVER INTERNET
PROTOCOL.
This is a methodology and group
of technologies for the delivery of voice
communications and
multimedia sessions over
internet Protocol networks, such as the
internet.
Instead of being transmitted over a
circuit- switched network, however,
the digital information is packetized,
and transmission occurs as
Internet Protocol packet-switched
network.
FORUMS- METHODS
An internet forum or message board
is
an online discussion site where peopl
e can hold conversations in the form
of posted messages. An example of
this is: The Sims forum can be
accessed on computers, tablets and
smartphones although there is
no specific mobile version.
7. METHODS
WEBBLOGS (BLOGS)
A blog is a regularly updated website
or web page, typically one run by an
individual or small group, that is
written in an informal or
conversational style.
An example of this is 'Perez-
Hilton.com', can
be accessed on computers, tablets
and smartphones.
Wikis
A wiki is a web application which
allow people to add, modify or
delete content in
collaboration with others.
An advantage of a wiki is they
are very informative and you can
further your knowledge on
almost any topic as
they become more popular.
A major disadvantage of this
is that not all of the information
is taken as reliable.
8. METHODS
EMAIL
An email is a message distributed
by electronic means from one
computer user to one or more
recipients via a network.
An example of this is google
mail, can be used on computers,
tablets and smartphones.
MMS
MMS- MULTIMEDIA MESSAGING
SYSTEM
Multimedia messaging service is a
way to send messages that
include multimedia content to and
from mobile phones.
Like SMS, MMS is used on all
mobile devices however
some smartphones have
their own service for it's users.
9. METHODS
VIDEO CONFERENCING
Video conferencing is the conduct of
a video conference by a set
of telecommunication technologies w
hich allow two or more locations to
communicate.
An example of this is Skype, it can be
accessed on computers, tablets and
smartphones that have a forward-
facing camera.
