The student began their FMP project by starting a contextual study. This included looking back on past projects to determine strengths and interests, and researching similar work by creator Rudy Mancuso. The student felt they made progress in establishing a baseline for context. Successes included analyzing past work and learning from Rudy Mancuso's inspirational style. However, more depth could be added on Mancuso's reasoning and techniques. The next steps are further researching Mancuso and other creators, as well as the rotoscoping technique planned for the project.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Today was the first day of F.M.P. With this I started my contextual study which is shown
attached. I started with my initial reactions of what I could do for the project. I looked
back on past projects to see what I was good at doing and to see what I enjoyed the
most. This put into context of what the kind of work that I wanted to do, what I would
need for the project and what/who I need to research. My next section was to look at
the main creator that has made something similar to what I am wanting to make. I did
some research on someone called Rudy Mancuso. I looked at project he has done and
the style he uses. When I carry this on, I will look more into the meaning and reasoning
for him doing this kind of product. finally I made a mind map to start to think about
things such as the style, theme and what the product would actually be. in future days I

How do you feel about how this work has gone? (Remember, be specific and
focus on key areas that you can talk about) *
5.
I feel that for the first day my work has gone well. I was able to find out about Rudy
Mancuso who will by my main creator that inspires me for this project. Firstly, I think its
good that I looked back on old projects, this allowed me to see what my strengths and
weaknesses have been from the last three years. In terms of the work that I have done
today, I feel that I have managed to do allot. In upcoming days I will go over the section
about Rudy Mancuso and my initial reactions as there is some information I don't need
and some information I can expand on.
What were the main successes in the work? (why were they successful? etc)
*

The main successes in the work I have done today is that I have got a strong baseline to
start my context. For example, I think that I have looked at past project is a strong bit of
context as I say what I enjoyed/ what I was good at. This give lots of context to why I
have chosen to do the product that I am doing. Secondly, Rudy Mancuso brings more
context to what is inspiring me to do this product. This was successful due to the content
and insight into being the different types of videos and the styles that he portrays them
What were the elements that were less successful or you had difficulty with?
(remember to consider why and explain your thoughts) *
7.
Although I managed to get lots of context of why I wanted to do this product by looking
into past products, I feel like I could have spent more time and looked more in-depth
into more context of Rudy Mancuso. As he is a YouTube and only made a few videos
similar to the product I am wanting to make, its hard to find information of the context
behind his videos. when looking into him, it doesn't say much about the context and
reasoning behind it, also the style and technical side.
What else could you have done to expand the work, improve the work, etc?
*
8.
I could have expanded todays work by trying to use different ways such as google books
and wikipedia to find information abut Rudy Mancuso and the work that he has created.
These would give more context and hopefully explain why he made them and the style. I
could have also expanded on why I wanted to make this product, E.G the use of post
production and the heavy editing that will be involved to improve the video.
Action Plan - what is the next step for the project? It could be linked to the
activities discussed, maybe fixing something, or moving on to another task.
*
9.
The next step for the project is to looking into Rudy Mancuso. This step will give more of
a understanding of the reasoning behind his videos and the technical side of it such as
camera angles, characters and props. I will also look into other creators that have made
videos similar to one that I am going to make. finally I will look into Rotoscoping as that
is what I am also going to use, finding the context behind it and its main uses in other
peoples products and how it effects how I will use it. All of this will give me a greater
understand and level of context behind the reasoning of my product.
