Web 2.0 is a term describing the transition of the World Wide Web from static web pages to a platform serving dynamic web applications. It allows users to interact with and manipulate data through collaborative efforts and sharing information easily across different online platforms. While some criticize Web 2.0 as meaningless hype, its use is widespread with many companies and individuals utilizing social networks, user reviews, tagging, and other Web 2.0 features in their work and personal lives.
