As people go through life, they most likely come upon a person who affects their life for the better,
and sends them in the right direction. For some, however, they may never have a person who gives
them this push, or perhaps someone had the opportunity to be that person who does the pushing, but
does not. Many people have been propelled to success because of the care of another person. Some of
these positive influences may include a parent, minister, or a friend. Though all three of these persons
embody the needs of everybody from time to time, it is the teacher who connects these together and
gives a person more that just an education. In every human s life, they will come in direct contact with

I think that teaching a student to have a good character is more important that reading, writing, and
arithmetic. I think the greatest profession that a person will endeavor upon is that of a parent. Most of
the students that go through my classroom will become parents one day, and I want them to have the
character that is needed to raise a child in the right ways. I believe that character development is the
greatest reward of an education. I want students to look to me as a model of a good person. I think that
is the greatest reward that a teacher can achieve. The feeling of someone going out learning how to be
a good person and doing it based upon my actions is priceless, and will benefit more many more than I
may ever know about.
My classroom methods would mostly resemble a traditional classroom in that there is a certain base of
knowledge that students should learn before they can move on. I agree with the essentialist theory
because I think that there is much to be learned from the classical material. It has stood the test of time
and much of today s society is based around it. I do not however want to be a lecture dominated
instructor. In college I have grown to like lecture classrooms because I have the discipline to follow
the teacher and take notes, but when I was in high school a lecture class bored me and I would be
daydreaming within five minutes. I think there should be variety in presenting the essential
knowledge. Along with

Honda s Credibility
Advertisements have been used over hundreds of years with the goal of persuading their viewers to
obey their message. Ads have become ubiquitous in our lives, from magazines pages to the sides of
buses, each trying in various ways to convince the consumer that they need to purchase the specific
product. This year, Honda released a commercial for the 2016 Civic that displays the car driving out of
the designer s brain with the flow of his imagination. It contains no dialogue and ends with the written
words, Direct from our imagination . The advertisement for the Civic uses aspects of appealing to
positive emotion, source credibility and appealing to broad cultural values to effectively persuade
young first time car buyers to purchase their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Credibility is the amount of perceived training, knowledge and experience of the source by the viewer
(Lecture). Honda uses two different aspects of credibility in their advertisement: the credibility of the
company and of the car s engineer. The car engineer shown at the beginning of the ad serves as a
visual source because the ideas of the car come out of his brain, making him the designer of the civic.
The man was dressed in a lab coat, which serves as an artifact that helps make the connection that the
man is a scientist or engineer who is designing the civic. People tend to trust professionals more when
it comes to building complicated machines such as a car, which is why the viewer would be more
willing to pay attention to the product of imagination coming from the visual source s head.
Additionally, the engineer is a male and according to Tubbs, men and those who are perceived to have
a higher status have a greater impact on the audience (Tubbs). Males may be more trusted and there
are typically more men in the field of engineering. The choice of a male actor over a female may have
been a conscious decision by Honda in attempts to make the visual source more credible for the
consumers because he must be deemed credible for the audience to entrust the car is well equipped. In
addition, Honda used the credibility of their company to transfer credibility to their product through
both visuals and audio effects. Honda s credibility come from vast majority of America that drives
Honda s and their reputation for running well for years. The ad begins with the Honda logo and the
sound of a ding that Honda uses in many of its other commercials. The significance of the correlation
between corporate credibility and the product s credibility is shown through a study conducted by
Lafferty and Goldsmith. The empirical study examined the credibility of the company s effect on the

Perception And Driving
Perception refers to the interpretation of sensory information to form meaningful information (3).
Perception is not possible with attentional processes. Attention to the information provided to the
sensory receptors is required to to have perception (68). Attention and perception interact more with
each other than as processes that are rigidly different. Driving is an example of something that
requires both perception and attention. You need to perceive and recognize important objects such as
stop signs, pedestrians, and oncoming cars. Driving also requires the mental concentration of paying
attention. In something as complex of driving, lacking either attention or your ability to perceive
things can result in dangerous situations (73). In

Innocent Victims of Capital Punishment are Possible Essay
Innocent Victims of Capital Punishment are Possible Try to imagine yourself being convicted of a
crime you did not commit, and even worse being told you have die for that crime. This nightmare is
actually a reality for some inmates on death row today. The death penalty should be abolished because
the potential for even one death of an innocent man violates all principles of justice. Can the justice
system ever be 100 percent right? Not likely. Then how can it administer punishment that s 100

An innocent man was convicted of a crime he did not commit. Several reasons exist. First: Bennett
had a previous arrest record and he seemed to fit the description of the killer. Second: the police were
under pressure to solve the crime. And finally above all, because the public was clamoring for some
way to express its indignation (for the death of Mrs. Stuart), found Willie Bennett a plausible target
(Baird and Rosenbaum 97). Cases just like this one lead to innocent men found guilty with the
potential of being put on death row. Today, there are over three thousand prisoners on death row.
Between 1972 and 1996, 68 death row inmates were released because proof of their innocence was
found (Acker, Bohm, and Lanier 232). Only after struggling with expensive lawyers and a harsh
system of justice were Cusson 3 the majority of these prisoners finally able to receive a second
chance. It is preposterous to think that of the three thousand prisoners on death row, all of them are
guilty and deserve the death penalty. The death penalty is unfair for several reasons, one of them being
that legal assistance for inmates on death row has become increasingly difficult to find. Prisoners on
death row filing for appeal have little or no chance for receiving a fair second chance. Most of the
legal work is done for free, and even lawyers dedicated to making sure these prisoners receive all their
legal rights cannot be expected to spend all of their time

Gambia Essay
One of the major factors in a state s development is the natural resources which it possesses within its
shores. The Gambia possesses few natural resources and the infrastructure for processing these
resources is underdeveloped. One of the most abundant resources of the Gambia is the various types
of sand which it possesses. The quartz sand which lies on the beaches and bank of the Gambia River is
of a high quality and is perfect for the creation of glass. The government is currently attempting to
gain investors to buy the quartz sand which they possess. The Gambia also possesses heavy mineral

However, the economies of these two countries have had a large impact on their levels of
development. The Gambia has an economy based primarily ecotourism now, but throughout most of
its recent history it has been dependent on agriculture and even now has around twenty percent of its
GDP being generated by agriculture. As agriculture does not generally produce a large amount of
wealth it does not give the average citizen wealth enough for investments, education, and healthcare
which promote development. Also, agriculture does not require a large amount of formal schooling
and, as such, it does not promote government investment in education. Ireland, on the other hand, has
an economy dependent on idea based jobs which generally require a larger amount of schooling,
prompting more government investment in education which increases development. Also, as the idea
based jobs which the Irish economy is founded on generates more wealth, it allows for citizens of
Ireland to spend money on items of personal welfare, increasing the citizens health, education, and

People often behave differently when their anger has been evoked, which can be quite negative in
particular circumstances. A quick decision made during a fit of rage can have an enduring impact on
your life, and its often not a good one.
Many public sector jobs are highly demanding and a higher level of self control and customer service
skills are likely required. For instance, police officers and restaurant servers work with the public.
These average citizens can be tested by unexpected situations that place both their patience and

Lucille Clifton Grandma We Are Poetry Analysis
Great pieces of literature allow for someone to relate to the piece. As I read grandma, we are poets by
Lucille Clifton I could relate. I did not read it as if I related to autism, but as I remember all the words
that define who were are by society s standards. In Clifton s poem emotion could be felt when
portraying those with autism and I was determined to make a similar piece.
For my piece I began to define beauty based on society s definition rather than how Clifton defines
autism by the dictionary definition. I wanted there to be two different voices heard in my poem. The
first voice was that of myself as I reminisce on what beauty felt like as I grew up. The other voice is
society and all the ideas that make someone beautiful. I decided to use the word beauty because I have
been talking to my sister lately and a boy told her she was not pretty enough to be his girlfriend. I
realized writing a poem was a good way to portray to her that no matter what anyone says she is
always going to be beautiful. I was able to write my own experience because there is no better way to
explain something than through one s own examples. This advice coming from an older sister is ...

emotion in my piece. I used the dashes before the word to exaggerate the change that society was
yelling in my head. Finally, the last change comes, but it is modified to changed. I used the word

Importance Of Uniformities
Uniformities have become inevitable in our society and are visually seen everywhere from the way
people dress, in architecture, language, behavior, etc. The concept of knowledge has been developed
and evolved around the existence of uniformities. Uniformity is defined as the quality of lacking
diversity or variation for which quality is similar or comparable in kind or nature. Due to the
increasing amount of uniformities, knowledge has expanded to major aspects of the world and
uniformity has become a vital role in our development of knowledge. Uniformities are a major aspect
of our lives that contribute to our way of communicating amongst each other. However, uniformities
have introduced a world without individuality, creativity, and personify and evolving is the base of
humans to advancing which is problematic since we advance knowledge through imagination and
developing. Uniformities have altered our mindset to how we come to call knowledge and our manner
of viewing things as objects. Knowledge frameworks are based on uniformities which are based on the
principles of reason, as a principle, is universal. Language and reason are the main crucial works of
knowledge that manifest into various ways for accounting what reason is, and the existence of many
languages present among human beings. Both human science and mathematics use language and
reason as a way of collecting data in their observations and develop the information into knowledge.

1. Emission test
2. Fuel economy
Engine used for testing have the following specifications which is tabulated in table 2.
Table 2: Engine specifications
Manufacture Bajaj auto
Max Power 17.02 PS @ 8500 rpm

Method of cooling Air cooling
A. Emission test
Emission analysis was carried out in an authorized pollution testing center. Test was conducted in two
sections. First emission characteristics of the vehicle was studied. In the next section oxyhydrogen kit
was connected to the vehicle and same procedure was followed. A comparison between before and
after connection of the oxyhydrogen kit is tabulated in table 3.
1) Carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide is one of the main exhaust gas component in case IC engines. It is generated mainly
due to the incomplete combustion of fuel, when enough oxygen is not available, two carbon molecules
combines with a single oxygen molecule and carbon monoxide is thus formed. It is colourless,
odourless, and tasteless gas that is slightly less dense than air. It is toxic to humans and animals when
encountered in higher concentrations.
When oxyhydrogen kit is connected, hydrocarbons might have undergoing complete combustion or
tend to follow complete combustion by the aid oxygen which is a part of oxyhydrogen. Also the
chance for increased combustion duration also exists.

Biography profile for Pablo Picasso
Pablo Ruiz Picasso the man was a troubled, eccentric, problematic man who could never settle down
with a woman or a place of residency, maybe what we could call a free spirit . Picasso, the man, was
also an activist. He fought for peace until his last days. However, no matter how much troubled
Picasso, the man was overshadowed by his own art. In addition, even though one might not like his
works, one cannot deny that without Picasso, modern art and the world would be much poorer, so that
is why I decided to write about one of my favorite artists of all times, the unique Pablo Picasso.

In 1896, his first large oil painting The first Communion was exhibited in Barcelona. The year after,
he painted Science and Charity and received an honorable mention in Madrid at the national
exhibition of fine art and a gold medal in a competition in Malaga. It is important to note that at that
point he was only 16 years old. His visits to museums became very important in this first period of his
career, because like many other modern artists, Picasso had his classicism period when he tried to
imitate the style of the old masters. He also met someone who would become one of his best friends
and his secretary, the poet Sabartes. The new atmosphere made the young artist abandon his classic
style and start a period of searching and encountering new experiences in his career.
During this period, Picasso expressed his idea that an art student should not be obligated to follow any
already established school, but should be free to explore his or her own styles and ideas. This search
for change caused deterioration in his relationship with his parents who could not accept his interest in
modern art.
In 1900, during this search period, Picasso moved to the city that was the major artistic center, Paris,

The Judgment of Athena in Oresteia
The Judgment of Athena in Oresteia
Athena resolves the conflicts of the Oresteia with an ambiguous judgment that seems to satisfy all
parties involved. However, in any conflict, at least one party must make sacrifices to work toward a
resolution. Athena achieves her paradoxical result by misleading Apollo to think that he has received
total victory in judgment and by offering compensatory powers to the Erinyes, thus creating an
illusion of satisfaction for all amidst a reality of compromise.
Athena first addresses Apollo s argument of the superiority of paternity, but she allows compromise by
never fully admitting that Clytemnestra s murder was morally justified. Initially, Athena announces, I
approve the male in all things... ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although Orestes departs without a judgment of justice, the Erinyes nonetheless cry out, I am bereft of
honor, unhappy one! (Eumenides 780). On the surface, it appears that Athena s judgment, by granting
greater importance to paternity and the male gender roles of Apollo and Orestes, has compromised the
honor of the female Erinyes, who were acting on behalf of the significance of Clytemnestra s
maternity. Athena replies by saying, In all justice I promise you shall have a seat and a cavern in this
righteous land, (Eumenides 804 805). Here, Athena offers the Erinyes justice, which she denied
Orestes. This offer convinces the Erinyes to change their ancient ways to become part of the newer
Olympian order by serving as protecting goddesses of Athens. This agreement parallels one of the
main themes of the Oresteia: just as justice progresses from a system of blood guilt to a more civilized
trial system, so the Erinyes progress from the old generation of earth gods to become a part of the new
Olympian order.
Athena herself participates in the judgement not as an unbiased arbiter of justice, but as a participant
in the conflict who compromises and gains advantage from the consequences of her judgment just as
Apollo, Orestes, and the Erinyes did. Athena judges with the interest of Athens, her city, in mind.
When her judgment releases Orestes, he promises that if they [his descendants] always honor this city

The Problem Of Violence Against Women
Literature Review
The problem my group decided to address is violence against women. Violence against women can be
defined as a pattern of abusive, violent or coercive behaviors. These behaviors are used against the
victim in an intimate relationship to control their thoughts, beliefs or behaviors. The abuser uses
violence to hold power and dominance over the victim of violence. Not only do they physically violate
the victim, they also isolate the individual from her support system, making it tougher for her to
receive help and leave the horrific situation. This is a prevalent issue in America that does not receive
the attention it deserves. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, every nine
seconds a woman in the United States is being assaulted, that equivalates to one in every three woman
have been a victim of some form of violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. According to
Evaluating the Effect of a Specialized MSW Course on Violence Against Women, it is evident that
rates of violence against women occur at astonishing rates in the United States. A national survey s
results exemplify these rates, the results indicated that 52% of women were physically assaulted as a
child by an adult caretaker or as an adult by any type of perpetrator; 18% experienced a completed or
attempted rape at some point in their lives; and 8% reported being stalked at some point in their lives
(McMahon, Postmus, Warrener, Plummer Schwartz, 2013). Women who

Experiences of working with teams I have worked with teams under very many occasions in school

team members and hence any task given to us that required to be executed by the team was effectively

hence positive relations were built (Rasing, 2013).On several occasions especially in school, I was

Battle of Normandy Essay
One of the most significant encounters of World War II was the Battle of Normandy (the first day of
which is commonly referred to as D Day). Nearly three million soldiers were deployed for the
invasion. Those deployed consisted mainly of American and British soldiers, however Canadian,
French, Polish, Belgian, and Czech forces were represented as well (Jensen). The battle was fought in
an effort to gain European ground and to reduce the German potential for overrunning Russia (Lucas).

Thousands of large still spikes (known as hedgehogs) were also sunk into the sand to halt the progress
of enemy tanks (Newark 145). Allied troops readied themselves for the assault. The attack on
Normandy had been pushed to June fifth, 1944; however the forecast on June third predicted
unfavorable conditions due to unusually high winds. The invasion ultimately took place on June 6th,
1944 (D Day) (Cohen). The first troops deployed into battle were paratroopers. Over thirteen thousand
U.S. paratroopers were dropped by an armada of C 47s behind German lines before dawn. Their
mission was to seize bridges, disrupt communications, and prevent German soldiers from reinforcing
the Normandy beaches as the Allied assault hit the coastline (Alberecht). Heavy cloud coverage made
for difficult navigation and forced many of the paratroopers to jump blind . This resulted in them
being scattered over a 100 square mile radius. Thirty five percent of these soldiers landed at their
designated drop point, while many others died when they landed in fields flooded by the Germans.
Despite all of this, the remaining troops were able to secure their intended positions (Dry). The next
phase in the Battle of Normandy was the storming of the beaches. A fleet of 4,000 ships carrying
176,000 men set sail. The chosen landing area was east of the Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy along
the beaches.

Roe v. Wade 1973 was a landmark case where the United States ruled it unconstitutional that state law
could ban abortion except to save the life of the mother. The Supreme Court ruling was that states
were forbidden from outlawing or regulating any aspect of abortion performed during the first
trimester of pregnancy and could only regulate abortions regarding maternal health in the second and
third trimesters. States were only allowed to enact abortion laws to protect the fetus in the third

define a human? In this survey, there were 53 responses. Survey dates were November 3rd and 4th.
The participants are in the 7th and 8th Grade Latin classes of Mr. Di Giulio. The rest of the paper will
examine their results and compare their reasonings against Ancient Greek Philosophers.
With the first question asking, What is Death? The question is a strong one and the answers can be
nihilistic or religious. Most of the students answered with a familiar answer, death is when your life
ends, when the soul exits the body, or organs have stopped and the majority of cells have died. But to
most Philosophers, death is considered the worst evil. Sophocles is contrary to that belief, as he
believes that the worst evil is that of when one wishes to die, but cannot (Written in his play, ... Show

43.4% (23 Votes) of the surveyors chose con, 28.3% (15 Votes) for neither, 22.6% (12 Votes) for other

choosing Con, we can take the results of the vote to be Con. The majority think that war is a large
disagreement between different countries that result in a lost of thousands of lives and a large debt. A
large part of that is true but they have the meaning and Philosophy wrong though. As quoted by
Aristotle (The most famous man is the world,) We make war that we may live in peace. which means
that war is an effort to make peace. What the participants got right is that war is evil and bloody, War

freedom, and all such blessings. Demosthenes,

The Problem Of Prescription Drugs
There is also the issue of many people forgoing certain needs in order to not have to reduce their
prescription use. Rather than forcing themselves to space out their medication more than they are
supposed to be as prescribed, these people start cost cutting in other areas of their lives. Many will
forgo basic needs, such as food, in order to get to a point of affordability of their medication. This cost
cutting generally can occur before the gap, just as drug reduction does, and typically continues
through the gap until catastrophic coverage is reached, or until they reach the next year and reset the
entire process (Madden and Graves, 2009; Nekhlyudov and Madden, 2011; Zivin and Madden, 2009).
The danger of medication nonadherence also comes in the health outcomes of those who fail to
adhere. As explained above, when there is an increase in out of pocket spending required to get
prescription drugs, there is an increase in noncompliance of medication usage. This increase in
noncompliance can lead to an increase in a variety of negative outcomes in health. These can be
regression or complication of the illness that was being medicated, emergency room trips and even
admission into hospitals. No matter which negative health outcome occurs, it means a decrease in
overall health for the Medicare beneficiary (Dalen, 2009; Stuart, 2005; Zhang and Donohue, 2009).
This not only puts a strain on the beneficiary, once again spiking stress with illness relapse or hospital
issues, but

How to Do Business in Argentina Essay
A. HOW TO DO BUSINESS IN ARGENTINA
International Management
April 20, 2006
B. Summary
The main goal for the project How to do business in Argentina was to show how a Multinational
Company must approach different aspects like government, laws, society, culture and infrastructure
when facing the challenge of doing business in other countries.
First, we will do a short review of some important background aspects such as its geography, its
localization and main geographical characteristics. We will also analyze historical events and political
factors that influenced society, culture, economy and development of the country. The government
system, economic factors such as inflation and GDP, technological factors and labor market ... Show

Despite the introduction of several tough economic austerity programs by 2001 the recession slid into
its third year and Argentina was bankrupt. The IMF gave Argentina $13.7 billion in emergency aid in
January, 2001 and $8 billion in August, 2001. The international help was not enough however and
Argentina verged on economic collapse forcing it to default on its $141 billion foreign debt payment
which was the largest such default in history.
On January, 2002 after more instability the government announced an economic plan devaluing the
Argentine peso which had been pegged to the dollar for a decade. The devaluation plunged the
banking industry into crisis, caused unemployment to reach 20% and wiped out much of the savings
of the middle class, plunging millions of Argentineans into poverty.
Néstor Kirchner became Argentina s president in May 2003. Kirchner has vowed to aggressively
reform the courts, police, and armed services, and to repeal amnesty laws for perpetrators of the dirty
war. Argentina s economy has been rebounding since its near collapse in 2001, with an impressive
growth rate of about 8% since President Kirchner took office. But doubts have been raised about
efforts at repaying its record public debt default.

Case Analysis Of Texaco
1. Identify the ethical culture problem at Texaco in the mid 1990s. Based on the case analysis, the
ethical cultural problem at Texaco during the mid 1990 s included racism and discrimination against
the minority community of African American employees as part of which these employees were
confronted with racist language and lower pay. 2. Based on the facts in the case and what you have
learned in Chapter 5, evaluate the culture change effort that is underway. What cultural systems have
been targeted in the cultural change effort? What systems are missing, if any? Does the culture appear
to be in alignment? Misalignment? What else might management do that they have not already done
to make the culture change successful? On the basis of information presented in the case study, the
most important effort that Texaco as an organization witnessed was the commitment of the CEO, Peter

The Climate Vegetation and Fauna in Sweden
The climate, vegetation and fauna in Sweden are totally different from those in Asia, especially
different from Hong Kong. The reason is that the latitude and the region they lay on are really distinct.
These three factors are closely related, because climate will greatly affect the growing of different
vegetation and animal species.
Before talking about the climate of Sweden, it is important to know that Sweden is a country located
in the middle of Norway and the Baltic Sea. Many climate extremes are protected away from Sweden
due to the high mountains stand between the two countries. Sweden also has a much milder climate
than most other regions of the world that lie as far north because of the influence of the Gulf Stream.
However, a large range of temperatures is experienced throughout the whole country. Basically, the
country can be divided into three regions; central and southern Sweden, the northeast, and the
northwest, or far north to describe the climate in Sweden.
In central and Southern Sweden, it is the most densely populated and agriculturally productive part of
the country. Many parts of the region are low lying areas with numerous lakes. When compare to the
North, the winters are quite cold and shorter, while the summers are relatively warm. For
precipitation, most rain falls during summer and early autumn and there is rarely heavy rain. In winter,
precipitation mainly falls as snow.
In Northeastern Sweden, winters are severe. The northwardly they go, the

Differences Between Hylas And Philonous
Abstract ideas pertaining to epistemology in philosophy are almost as old as the concept of philosophy
itself. Dating back to thinkers such as Aristotle, carrying on throughout the medieval period and into
modern philosophy, abstracts have always been grappled with. George Berkeley s epistemology about
abstract ideas has historically been one that has drawn the attention of many other scholars and
philosophical thinkers. His thoughts on ideas, specifically his expansion of Locke s general abstract
ideas, are still argued to this very day. His critique of Locke s view of abstract ideas and ideas in
general, is successful in refuting his claims, and is validated in the Three Dialogues between Hylas
and Philonous, and can be expanded upon in another one of Berkeley s works, A Treatise Concerning
the Principles of Human Knowledge. Berkeley s work, Three Dialogues between Hylas and
Philonous, can be described as a series of dialogues between Hylas and Philonous regarding
philosophical issues such as God and materialistic substances as well as ideas. The overall goal of the
work was to demonstrate the reality and perfection of human knowledge along with the incorporeal
nature of the soul, and the immediate providence of a deity, in opposition to sceptics as well as atheists
.(Berkeley, pg xi)Throughout the work, it can be deduced that Philonous represents Berkeley s own
point of view regarding the argument at hand, while Hylas represents various opinions that oppose

Hidden Motives In Hamlet
Our society today teaches us to keep our identities, feelings, and differences hidden. Sometimes lies
and hidden motives are used to trick or pull the truth out of others. But because we already all wear
masks no one can tell whether the person s motives are pure or evil. Hamlet, Claudius, Ophelia, and
Gertrude hide themselves either to get the truth, hide guilty feelings, or because they have feelings
they can not tell others. William Shakespeare told a story of characters hiding behind masks and lies,
he describes how even today humans function in everyday life.
Gertrude puts on an act that she is grieving king hamlet s death when really she feels no remorse.
When her son, Hamlet shows his grief she says, Good Hamlet cast thy nighted colour off, and let thine
eye look like a friend on denmark. do not forever with thy vailèd lids seek for thy noble father in the
dust. thou know st tis common, all that lives must die, passing through nature to eternity (I. ii. 70). She
tells hamlet to stop wearing dark clothes, embrace his new father claudius and to move on from his
father s recent death. She shows to only hamlet how little she cared for the king. Gertrude married

Case of study of executive holloware

product was the handmade silver plated tea sets.
In the following pages, a definition and specification of quality is presented and why it is important
for the company. It is also mention the main causes of the problems in the case of study, the measure

Quality is also specified in the internal process. This process needs to be measure and comparable to
the acceptable ranges in production to develop a product that fulfil the specifications and it also
requires the participation from everyone in the organization . (Maguad, 2006)
4. What are the underlying causes of the problems at Executive Holloware?
There are some problems presented in the EH case of study. First, the products developed by the
company are high value tea sets items, thus the necessity to maintain a standard performance to
produce a product without any defect. One cause of the problem is that there is no specific definition
of defect in the entire process. It is mentioned that the senior shop foreman does not have a clear
understanding of defect definition and this affect the correct performance of the entire process because
it represent in re working cost.
Other cause of problem is that each department does not maintain a close communication about the
relevance of the quality in the process. Paul realized that each department blame each other regarding
to the scratches and bruises of the product. Even the finance director did not has a clear vision of the
situation, therefore the lack of communication and process internal control
In the Organization, there were no specification clearly defined of quality and the metrics of quality

Nikee. Apple. Covergirl. Weight Watchers. Why Do All These
Nikee. Apple. Covergirl. Weight Watchers. Why do all these seemingly unrelated names sound
familiar? That answer is simple: advertising. Advertising, a prodigious business, is a way to market a
product or service to the public consumer through TV, internet, billboards, and other outlets. However,
this over exposure to unnecessary and unwanted propaganda brings about personal struggles, since ads
scream about the absolute desire for self impeccability while simultaneously destroying the spirits of
those who listen. This industry s image of normalcy often alters one s self image. Although many see
the benefits of consumer marketing, the industry s depiction of idealized perfection reveals that
manipulating people through advertisements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, advertising feeds from mob mentality, convincing people a product will change their lives
by deeming it fashionable or sophisticated. It bypasses logical thinking to take control of how people
view themselves and their need for esteem. People want and need to be respected and we need to feel
good about ourselves. And this is where much advertising lives, often because we are selling products
that people really do not need. L Oreal s Because you re worth it is the perfect example (Madigan 83).
For this reason, expectations of a person are manipulated to fit the wants of the industry to sell
products. These people are affected since they feel as if they have no choice in what to wear, how their
body should appear to others, and which brands they buy. It all comes down to the need to be apart of
something bigger, instead of sticking out from the crowd.
EXAMPLE
Society s deeply ingrained standards for women created by the media demonstrate the corruption of
self image as seen through ads from the 1950s that feed off of insecurities. History demonstrates the
obsession with perfection by showing how women were viewed before and after advertising influence,

How Does Australia Become Too Americanised
Is Australia becoming too Americanised? Americanisation is to make or become American in
character. American culture is overriding the culture of our nation and will continue to as American
aspects keep becoming larger within Australia. Over the past years Australia s identity is being merged
with America, as aspects like American foods/ brands, TV/film, trends and slang are becoming
extremely popular and influencing Australian citizens. Through these common American aspects our
Australian culture as what it is stereotyped to be fading dramatically.
American based food industries and American brands are becoming increasingly popular within
Australia. Businesses such as McDonald s are more common within Australia compared to places like
the UK as the amount of McDonald s is significantly less. Although McDonalds is an American
company they include Australian produce such as meats to make it seem Australian. Many typical

Many kings have ruled over Israel the past thousands of years. Some valiant and obedient to God

first king that I will analyze will be king Ahab who ruled for a total of twenty two years.

For newer generations (people who have already worked abroad have been used to work in cross

For people who have been only within a British business with British people for a long period of time,
this common sense is less. They have to force themselves to adapt to change the communication style

When these people manage virtual teams, they often try to flatten /level the differences of the team

A Lot Happened Between 1760 And 1776 Essay
A lot happened between 1760 and 1776. The colonists felt unfairly taxed, supervised like children and
ignored in their attempts to address grievances. Religious tension rose, political ideals crystallized and
economics policies were the essence of many debates. The British found the colonists unwilling to pay
their fair share for the administration of the Empire. After all, citizens residing in England paid more
in taxes than was asked of any American during the entire time of crisis. Between 1760 and 1776,
British formulated some policies that would make the colonist pay their fair share for the
administration of the Kingdom. Some of these policies were; the Sugar Act of 1764, the Stamp Act of
1765, the Townshend Act of 1767, the Tea Act of 1773, and the Intolerable Act. The main policies that
triggered American rebellion and a movement towards independence were the Stamp Act of 1765, the
Tea Act of 1773, and the Intolerable Act of 1774. According to the Stamp Act of 1765, all legal
documents including newspapers, advertisement bills, licenses, bond, almanacs, to mention just a few,
had to be printed or written on a specially stamped paper that was imported from the Central Stamp
Office in London. This affected every class of people in the colonies, and this is why the resistance of
the Stamp Act was solid. To resist the Stamp Act, the English colonies adopted two ways; they
physically assaulted the stamp distributors to the extent that some resigned. Assaulters were a

Dualism In Stephen King
Aside from Shakespeare and Stevenson there are a plethora of authors who are as proficient or
possibly more adept at portraying the theme of a book, play, or poem. One considerable example is
Stephen King. He is an otherwise unusual author. King s books seem to depict theme in a
extraordinary way. His atrocious book IT has a rather nightmarish way of illustrating plot and theme.
The book, though rather monstrous and horrifying, is a great read for young adults. King does an
exceptional job at representing duality in IT. The story follows the lives of seven children as they are
tormented by a infernal entity that feeds off the fears and phobias of its victims to disguise itself while
preying on little kids. The creature, or It predominantly appears in the form of a clown to draw its
preferred prey of young children. All the while each member of the group has encountered the
terrifying life forms manifestation in its various shape shifting disguises; these include a malevolent
clown for Richie, a headless boy for Ben, a fountain of blood for Beverly, a diseased and rotting man
known as a Leper for Eddie, a creepy painting come to life for Stan, Mike s parents burning alive, and
finally an apparition of Georgie for Bill. King s main motive was to insinuate fear in the lives of kids,
in his book IT. Most children, around the age of 10 12, are afraid of something.. King stated in a 2013
interview that he came up with the idea for Pennywise after asking himself what scared

Employment Policy Impact
Introduction When I woke up for middle school one Spring morning, my mom gave me news that
would forever change my life. She told me that my dad, a New York Police Department police officer,
had gotten into a car accident pursuing a perpetrator during a high speed chase. I didn t comprehend
the severity of her words until I visited him in the hospital a few days later and learned that he wouldn
t be able to walk properly, if at all, ever again. On the day I learned that my dad had a serious
disability, I would honor him and his sacrifice by fighting for people with disabilities, but I wasn t
quite sure how. Upon taking this Disability and Employment Policy, I began to understand the impact
that disability and employment policy would have on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was designed to strike a balance between employer and employee interests. In its interpretation of
the ADA, the ADAAA veers away from a focus on whether the individual seeking the law s protection
has an impairment that fits within the technical definition of the term disability, and instead focuses on
whether the covered entity has actually discriminated. The ADAAA also changes the way that the
statutory terms should be interpreted, indicating a substantial evolution of the legislation (Benfer,

Global Warming Is Becoming An Ecology Threat
There has been a loss of respect for mother Earth; humans have developed the filthy habit of littering
anywhere possible. For example, one ton of 100% recycled paper save the equivalent of 4,100
kilowatt hours of energy, 7,000 gallons of water, 60 pounds of air emission and three cubic yards of
landfill space . Based on the facts there has been proven that global warming is actually becoming an
Ecology threat. I want to give the reader an insight of how we humans are destroying the planet Earth.
The planet Earth is only getting worse; therefore we humans must practice more sustainable acts. Did
you know that office building use approximately 19 percent of all energy consumed in the United
States, and although the U.S. is only 5 percent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eventually, this will cause the native people a hard time to hunt them. We are facing temperature that
we had never experienced before. Many people don t believe that the ozone layer and atmosphere are
decaying. According to the U.S. Global Change Research Program, the temperature in the U.S. has
increased by 2 degrees in the last 50 years and precipitation has increased by 5%. In the near future we
will be flooded by water and then we will want to save the planet, but eventually it will be too late. I
have acknowledged that not many people are making an effort to be a Good Samaritan. Just looking at
local cities, the lack of recycling effort resident shows impacts drastically around the world. Imagine
these local cities, plus thousands/millions more around the world, refusing on doing an ecological act
of recycling and reusing materials. These acts might not look bad for one person, but if you sum all
the people doing it around the world, it adds up to an enormous number. A lot of those people doing
all those filthy acts often believe that global warming is fake and that if they don t dispose an item
properly, they assume that nothing will happen to the ecosystem. Also, the people around the world
don t see the bigger picture that by having a large home/mansion is slowly killing the environment.
Why? Because the larger the house the more wood is required to build it, and use more quantity of
other products that are not appropriate for the environment.

Antisocial Personality Disorder ( Walsh Wu
Antisocial Personality Disorder
Imagine this, Jerry Smith, is considered to be the bad kid in high school with an extensive juvenile
record. He steals from other students and lies about it. He is irritable and picks fights daily. Jerry gets
bad grades, and it appears that he does not care. As an adult, he is a con artist and cannot seem to hold
a decent job due to his impulsivity. Jerry thinks that life is not fair. According to the research,
individuals who possess these antisocial behaviors during childhood commit most crimes in adulthood
(Walsh Wu, 2008). Therefore, understanding personality traits that may lead to criminal behavior is of
great interest. It appears that individuals who possess these personality traits function, as criminals in
our society, of these, the antisocial personality, or the related term psychopath or sociopath, is one
specific psychological syndrome.
Development of Psychopath/sociopath Terminology
Outside of a psychological perspective, the term antisocial personality is not recognized (Walsh Wu,
2008). The most common term to describe these behaviors is known as psychopath. Despite the
similarities between the two terms, research suggests that they are distinct constructs from an
empirical point of view. Most cases of psychopathy are diagnosed within prison or other forensic
settings and will meet the DSM 5 criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD), whereas only 15
25% of the cases of APD will meet criteria

Why It Happened One Night
The film It Happened One Night first appeared in movie theaters in 1934. It was not recorded in
color, the film is black and white and takes place around the same time as it was filmed mid 1930 s.
When it was released the film was accepted with high praise partly for the story and also for the acting
done by some of Hollywood s finest at the time. During the Film Ellie Andrews played by Claudette
Colbert runs away from her wealthy father who is trying to keep her away from the man she loves.
When she finds an opportunity she jumps ship and dresses like the average woman during the time.
She
then takes the bus from Miami to New York, however before the bus departs from the station she
meets
Peter Warne played by Clark Gable. Peter Warne, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The suit is likely made up of cotton and the tie of silk. However the
dress that Ellie Andrews purchases in the station off of some women she meets looks soft and flimsy.
The difference in income level between the two characters is large. Although both characters spend
most of their time together in a bus and in cheap living spaces there are short moments where the film
shows where the characters belong. In the beginning of the film Ellie Andrews spends her time being
held hostage by her father on a yacht. This first scene shows her living on a big yacht with servants
that
bring her food and tend to her every need. Peter Warne on the other hand spends his time in the
newspaper station he works at. For the most part the sets in the film are small and do not allow for
much space to move. For example when the characters are on the bus there is hardly an opportunity
for
them to sit next to each other. Even the hotels they stay in is just small enough for the two of them to
live in.
The film It Happened One Night was shot both in a studio and on location this can be seen
throughout the film. Most of the scenes where the characters are indoors such as the hotels they stay

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Credibility is the amount of perceived training, knowledge and experience of the source by the viewer (Lecture). Honda uses two different aspects of credibility in their advertisement: the credibility of the company and of the car s engineer. The car engineer shown at the beginning of the ad serves as a visual source because the ideas of the car come out of his brain, making him the designer of the civic. The man was dressed in a lab coat, which serves as an artifact that helps make the connection that the man is a scientist or engineer who is designing the civic. People tend to trust professionals more when it comes to building complicated machines such as a car, which is why the viewer would be more willing to pay attention to the product of imagination coming from the visual source s head. Additionally, the engineer is a male and according to Tubbs, men and those who are perceived to have a higher status have a greater impact on the audience (Tubbs). Males may be more trusted and there are typically more men in the field of engineering. The choice of a male actor over a female may have been a conscious decision by Honda in attempts to make the visual source more credible for the consumers because he must be deemed credible for the audience to entrust the car is well equipped. In addition, Honda used the credibility of their company to transfer credibility to their product through both visuals and audio effects. On the surface, it appears that Athena s judgment, by granting greater importance to paternity and the male gender roles of Apollo and Orestes, has compromised the honor of the female Erinyes, who were acting on behalf of the significance of Clytemnestra s maternity. Athena replies by saying, In all justice I promise you shall have a seat and a cavern in this righteous land, (Eumenides 804 805). Here, Athena offers the Erinyes justice, which she denied Orestes. This offer convinces the Erinyes to change their ancient ways to become part of the newer Olympian order by serving as protecting goddesses of Athens. This agreement parallels one of the main themes of the Oresteia: just as justice progresses from a system of blood guilt to a more civilized trial system, so the Erinyes progress from the old generation of earth gods to become a part of the new Olympian order. Violence against women can be defined as a pattern of abusive, violent or coercive behaviors. These behaviors are used against the victim in an intimate relationship to control their thoughts, beliefs or behaviors. The abuser uses violence to hold power and dominance over the victim of violence. Not only do they physically violate the victim, they also isolate the individual from her support system, making it tougher for her to receive help and leave the horrific situation. This is a prevalent issue in America that does not receive the attention it deserves. • 21. The Problem Of Prescription Drugs There is also the issue of many people forgoing certain needs in order to not have to reduce their prescription use. Rather than forcing themselves to space out their medication more than they are supposed to be as prescribed, these people start cost cutting in other areas of their lives. Many will forgo basic needs, such as food, in order to get to a point of affordability of their medication. This cost cutting generally can occur before the gap, just as drug reduction does, and typically continues through the gap until catastrophic coverage is reached, or until they reach the next year and reset the entire process (Madden and Graves, 2009; Nekhlyudov and Madden, 2011; Zivin and Madden, 2009). The danger of medication nonadherence also comes in the health outcomes of those who fail to adhere. As explained above, when there is an increase in out of pocket spending required to get prescription drugs, there is an increase in noncompliance of medication usage. This increase in noncompliance can lead to an increase in a variety of negative outcomes in health. These can be regression or complication of the illness that was being medicated, emergency room trips and even admission into hospitals. No matter which negative health outcome occurs, it means a decrease in overall health for the Medicare beneficiary (Dalen, 2009; Stuart, 2005; Zhang and Donohue, 2009). This not only puts a strain on the beneficiary, once again spiking stress with illness relapse or hospital issues, but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Despite the introduction of several tough economic austerity programs by 2001 the recession slid into its third year and Argentina was bankrupt. The IMF gave Argentina $13.7 billion in emergency aid in January, 2001 and $8 billion in August, 2001. The international help was not enough however and Argentina verged on economic collapse forcing it to default on its $141 billion foreign debt payment which was the largest such default in history. On January, 2002 after more instability the government announced an economic plan devaluing the Argentine peso which had been pegged to the dollar for a decade. The devaluation plunged the banking industry into crisis, caused unemployment to reach 20% and wiped out much of the savings of the middle class, plunging millions of Argentineans into poverty. Néstor Kirchner became Argentina s president in May 2003. Kirchner has vowed to aggressively reform the courts, police, and armed services, and to repeal amnesty laws for perpetrators of the dirty war. Argentina s economy has been rebounding since its near collapse in 2001, with an impressive growth rate of about 8% since President Kirchner took office. The reason is that the latitude and the region they lay on are really distinct. These three factors are closely related, because climate will greatly affect the growing of different vegetation and animal species. Before talking about the climate of Sweden, it is important to know that Sweden is a country located in the middle of Norway and the Baltic Sea. Many climate extremes are protected away from Sweden due to the high mountains stand between the two countries. Sweden also has a much milder climate than most other regions of the world that lie as far north because of the influence of the Gulf Stream. However, a large range of temperatures is experienced throughout the whole country. Basically, the country can be divided into three regions; central and southern Sweden, the northeast, and the northwest, or far north to describe the climate in Sweden. Dating back to thinkers such as Aristotle, carrying on throughout the medieval period and into modern philosophy, abstracts have always been grappled with. George Berkeley s epistemology about abstract ideas has historically been one that has drawn the attention of many other scholars and philosophical thinkers. His thoughts on ideas, specifically his expansion of Locke s general abstract ideas, are still argued to this very day. His critique of Locke s view of abstract ideas and ideas in general, is successful in refuting his claims, and is validated in the Three Dialogues between Hylas and Philonous, and can be expanded upon in another one of Berkeley s works, A Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge. Berkeley s work, Three Dialogues between Hylas and Philonous, can be described as a series of dialogues between Hylas and Philonous regarding philosophical issues such as God and materialistic substances as well as ideas. The overall goal of the work was to demonstrate the reality and perfection of human knowledge along with the incorporeal nature of the soul, and the immediate providence of a deity, in opposition to sceptics as well as atheists .(Berkeley, pg xi)Throughout the work, it can be deduced that Philonous represents Berkeley s own point of view regarding the argument at hand, while Hylas represents various opinions that oppose ... That answer is simple: advertising. Advertising, a prodigious business, is a way to market a product or service to the public consumer through TV, internet, billboards, and other outlets. However, this over exposure to unnecessary and unwanted propaganda brings about personal struggles, since ads scream about the absolute desire for self impeccability while simultaneously destroying the spirits of those who listen. The colonists felt unfairly taxed, supervised like children and ignored in their attempts to address grievances. Religious tension rose, political ideals crystallized and economics policies were the essence of many debates. The British found the colonists unwilling to pay their fair share for the administration of the Empire. After all, citizens residing in England paid more in taxes than was asked of any American during the entire time of crisis. Between 1760 and 1776, British formulated some policies that would make the colonist pay their fair share for the administration of the Kingdom. Some of these policies were; the Sugar Act of 1764, the Stamp Act of 1765, the Townshend Act of 1767, the Tea Act of 1773, and the Intolerable Act. The main policies that triggered American rebellion and a movement towards independence were the Stamp Act of 1765, the Tea Act of 1773, and the Intolerable Act of 1774. According to the Stamp Act of 1765, all legal documents including newspapers, advertisement bills, licenses, bond, almanacs, to mention just a few, had to be printed or written on a specially stamped paper that was imported from the Central Stamp Office in London. This affected every class of people in the colonies, and this is why the resistance of the Stamp Act was solid. To resist the Stamp Act, the English colonies adopted two ways; they physically assaulted the stamp distributors to the extent that some resigned. Assaulters were a ... • 41. Dualism In Stephen King Aside from Shakespeare and Stevenson there are a plethora of authors who are as proficient or possibly more adept at portraying the theme of a book, play, or poem. One considerable example is Stephen King. He is an otherwise unusual author. King s books seem to depict theme in a extraordinary way. His atrocious book IT has a rather nightmarish way of illustrating plot and theme. The book, though rather monstrous and horrifying, is a great read for young adults. King does an exceptional job at representing duality in IT. The story follows the lives of seven children as they are tormented by a infernal entity that feeds off the fears and phobias of its victims to disguise itself while preying on little kids. The creature, or It predominantly appears in the form of a clown to draw its preferred prey of young children. All the while each member of the group has encountered the terrifying life forms manifestation in its various shape shifting disguises; these include a malevolent clown for Richie, a headless boy for Ben, a fountain of blood for Beverly, a diseased and rotting man known as a Leper for Eddie, a creepy painting come to life for Stan, Mike s parents burning alive, and finally an apparition of Georgie for Bill. King s main motive was to insinuate fear in the lives of kids, in his book IT. Most children, around the age of 10 12, are afraid of something.. King stated in a 2013 interview that he came up with the idea for Pennywise after asking himself what scared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Employment Policy Impact Introduction When I woke up for middle school one Spring morning, my mom gave me news that would forever change my life. She told me that my dad, a New York Police Department police officer, had gotten into a car accident pursuing a perpetrator during a high speed chase. I didn t comprehend the severity of her words until I visited him in the hospital a few days later and learned that he wouldn t be able to walk properly, if at all, ever again. On the day I learned that my dad had a serious disability, I would honor him and his sacrifice by fighting for people with disabilities, but I wasn t quite sure how. Upon taking this Disability and Employment Policy, I began to understand the impact that disability and employment policy would have on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was designed to strike a balance between employer and employee interests. In its interpretation of the ADA, the ADAAA veers away from a focus on whether the individual seeking the law s protection has an impairment that fits within the technical definition of the term disability, and instead focuses on whether the covered entity has actually discriminated. The ADAAA also changes the way that the statutory terms should be interpreted, indicating a substantial evolution of the legislation (Benfer, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Global Warming Is Becoming An Ecology Threat There has been a loss of respect for mother Earth; humans have developed the filthy habit of littering anywhere possible. For example, one ton of 100% recycled paper save the equivalent of 4,100 kilowatt hours of energy, 7,000 gallons of water, 60 pounds of air emission and three cubic yards of landfill space . Based on the facts there has been proven that global warming is actually becoming an Ecology threat. I want to give the reader an insight of how we humans are destroying the planet Earth. The planet Earth is only getting worse; therefore we humans must practice more sustainable acts. Did you know that office building use approximately 19 percent of all energy consumed in the United States, and although the U.S. is only 5 percent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Eventually, this will cause the native people a hard time to hunt them. We are facing temperature that we had never experienced before. Many people don t believe that the ozone layer and atmosphere are decaying. According to the U.S. Global Change Research Program, the temperature in the U.S. has increased by 2 degrees in the last 50 years and precipitation has increased by 5%. In the near future we will be flooded by water and then we will want to save the planet, but eventually it will be too late. I have acknowledged that not many people are making an effort to be a Good Samaritan. Just looking at local cities, the lack of recycling effort resident shows impacts drastically around the world. Imagine these local cities, plus thousands/millions more around the world, refusing on doing an ecological act of recycling and reusing materials. These acts might not look bad for one person, but if you sum all the people doing it around the world, it adds up to an enormous number. A lot of those people doing all those filthy acts often believe that global warming is fake and that if they don t dispose an item properly, they assume that nothing will happen to the ecosystem. Also, the people around the world don t see the bigger picture that by having a large home/mansion is slowly killing the environment. Why? Because the larger the house the more wood is required to build it, and use more quantity of other products that are not appropriate for the environment. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Antisocial Personality Disorder ( Walsh Wu Antisocial Personality Disorder Imagine this, Jerry Smith, is considered to be the bad kid in high school with an extensive juvenile record. He steals from other students and lies about it. He is irritable and picks fights daily. Jerry gets bad grades, and it appears that he does not care. As an adult, he is a con artist and cannot seem to hold a decent job due to his impulsivity. Jerry thinks that life is not fair. According to the research, individuals who possess these antisocial behaviors during childhood commit most crimes in adulthood (Walsh Wu, 2008). Therefore, understanding personality traits that may lead to criminal behavior is of great interest. It appears that individuals who possess these personality traits function, as criminals in our society, of these, the antisocial personality, or the related term psychopath or sociopath, is one specific psychological syndrome. Development of Psychopath/sociopath Terminology Outside of a psychological perspective, the term antisocial personality is not recognized (Walsh Wu, 2008). The most common term to describe these behaviors is known as psychopath. Despite the similarities between the two terms, research suggests that they are distinct constructs from an empirical point of view. Most cases of psychopathy are diagnosed within prison or other forensic settings and will meet the DSM 5 criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD), whereas only 15 25% of the cases of APD will meet criteria ... It was not recorded in color, the film is black and white and takes place around the same time as it was filmed mid 1930 s. The suit is likely made up of cotton and the tie of silk. However the dress that Ellie Andrews purchases in the station off of some women she meets looks soft and flimsy. The difference in income level between the two characters is large. Although both characters spend most of their time together in a bus and in cheap living spaces there are short moments where the film shows where the characters belong. In the beginning of the film Ellie Andrews spends her time being held hostage by her father on a yacht. This first scene shows her living on a big yacht with servants that bring her food and tend to her every need. Peter Warne on the other hand spends his time in the newspaper station he works at. For the most part the sets in the film are small and do not allow for much space to move. For example when the characters are on the bus there is hardly an opportunity for them to sit next to each other. Even the hotels they stay in is just small enough for the two of them to
