Project Name: Foreign Object Detection (FOD) in Wireless Electric Vehicle Charging. (US
Client)
Project Description:
• During wireless charging, induction power transfer occurs from primary induction coil to
secondary induction coil. But if there is any foreign object come in contact with any
power coil, the object gets heated, due to induction heating principle. Thus to avoid this
object heating and power loss. Hence, we use FOD system which is responsible for
immediate shut down charging process when any foreign object detected.
• Using FOD system not only safely but also Efficient Charging can be achieved.
Activities:
• Worked on Power Dissipation in Power Supply.
• Designed and tested Control feedback Circuit for LC Resonant Circuit.
• Calculation and Implementation of FOD loops in Resonant Circuit.
• Algorithm for FOD System.

Project Description:
• To develop IoT hardware using ESP8266 Wi-Fi Device and Arduino for Accelerometer
and Temperature sensors and send data to Cloud. Data from sensors captured through
serial port of Arduino Uno where sensor are connected at Input pins and process data
to WIFI ESP8266 device. Once data received on ESP8266 WIFI unit transmit data to
Cloud server.
