• Polymers are giant chain molecules made of
small repeating units called monomers.

• Humidity is often associated with frizzy hair and
headaches, but varying humidity levels can have
more serious consequences on lifesaving drugs.
• In the pharmaceutical industry, considerable effort is
made to develop products that are stable and have a
long shelf life. It is well known that moisture uptake
is the most common cause for a product failing to
meet its specification

• The aim of our project is to use hydrophobic
polymer to manufacturing the packaging of
particular medicines.

11. Hypothesis:
• Using hydrophobic polymer in medicine
packaging will yield in extending the shelf life
of the medicine

• we will use hydrophobic polymer
(polydimethylsiloxane) in synthesis of
medicine packaging.
