To prepare the gel required 0.67g of Agarose was measure out. Agarose was then blended into 134ml
of TAE buffer (appendix 1) in a beaker and warmed in order to break up the agarose. A microwave
was used for this. After completion of the warm up the beaker was whirled. Once the fluid was made it
was utilised to fill the gel dish starting from one corner and was left too cool to structure the gel. In the
mean time the PCR responses from earlier on in the lab acquired and set at the worktable. A 20ul
micropipette was utilised to then include 10ul of orange G stacking color to every tube and were then
blended well by pipetting all over. Once the gel had set an allele ladder was used to create wells so the
solution could be placed. The micropipette was then used to add the allele stepping stool to the 1st
path of the gel. The DNA, which was obtained from the crime scene, was then placed in the 2nd lane
and the rest followed on in place from A D in 3,4,5, and 6. The gel was then turned on at 100V and ran
for approximately 30 minutes. On completion it was placed under a UV light to look at the DNA and

According to the Times Picayune, the Benjamin Franklin High School teacher identified in the video
as Coach Ryan got into a heated exchange with one of his black students about why he is entitled, as a
white man, to use the racial slur. A video of the argument was originally posted on Twitter but has
since been protected.
That s racist as sh*t, the student tells Coach Ryan. Why can you not understand that it s racist for a
white man to say n****r to a black man? It s f***ing racist.
Raw Story reported that the student asks a white classmate if he would ever use the n word and the
classmate affirms that he wouldn t, after which the student opens the question to the entire class. They
agree that they would not say the n word. Coach Ryan then proceeds to dig himself into a deeper hole
while giving his students a disappointing lesson in white denial.
It s a word that s used so many times that it doesn t mean its original meaning, he insists. The word
has been commoditized so that anyone can use it, and it s not a negative connotation.
Not about to indulge an outright falsehood, the student tells Coach Ryan that the word would
absolutely have negative connotations if he used it it would be racist. Then, perhaps sadly inevitably,

also skills including to live in the society and to socialize with people. Many people believe that
education is important for getting jobs; therefore, they try to get a higher one. Since the educational
system in Japan is based on conformity and is very competitive, students tend to remain in a group in
the society. Also, children are forced to study hard by teachers and their parents and get so much
pressure from them, so some children are stressed out and have difficulty keeping up with their
studies. The Japanese educational system should change due to issues concerning lack of
individualization, presence of bullying, and incorrect methods of teaching English. The Japanese
educational system should change its unspoken policy of conformity. Since it is common that Japanese
people do not say what they think directly, students somehow know that they should act together as a
group in school. One of the reasons they do so is that behaviors of teachers toward students make
them realize that the teachers prefer students to be uniform. For example, in elementary school, the
system tries to focus on the children and teaching them to be together, and the aim is to like learning
and to form connection with each other and act as a group rather than focus on an individual
(Gunnarsdóttir 20). Teachers start to treat students as a group in school to teach them grouping when

In his editorial, Eugene Fitzgerald maintains the position that an enormous amount of knowledge has
been discovered in the last 50 years, and the entire academic curriculum requires a radical revision. He
points out that the time allotment for undergraduate higher education may have been sufficient in the
past decades, but it is inadequate for the challenges of the 2000s. He suggests young men and women
