The educational system in the Philippines aims to provide quality education for all Filipinos according to the 1987 Constitution. It seeks to foster values like patriotism, human rights, and moral character. The system includes pre-school, K-6 elementary education, 4-year secondary education, and tertiary education leading to bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. It also includes technical-vocational education to develop job skills. The goal is to develop productive citizens and a globally competitive workforce.

level skills required for national development;
3. Develop the professions that will provide
leadership for the nation in the advancement
of knowledge for improving the quality of

8. Pre-School Education: is the learning program given to children
ages three to five or six years in preparation for their formal primary
education. It is also known as nursery, day care, or kindergarten
schooling. Usually under the Social Welfare and Development
Office (DSWD). Teachers are required to have at least units in Early
Childhood Care and Development (ECCD – R.A 8980).
