Pay Observe Paralanguage
The process through which you establish a harmonious, understanding relationship with your subject
that consists of mutual confidence is known as rapport building. This is carried out by working to
reduce perceived differences with your subject at the unconscious level to the very minimum.
NLP teaches you ways to instantly build credibility and trust with anyone. Through NLP you learn
how to quickly develop ways that will let you build rapport much faster who ever you communicate
with be they family, friends or other people. Ways to build a rapport cover the use of keywords,
predicates, pet words, breathing, eye blinks, head tilt, posture, rhythms and many other things. It also

Speech is a projection of thoughts and feelings going on inside a person. When a person using NLP
listens intently to the words spoken by another person and starts using the same words while talking it
becomes possible for him to enter the other person s world and view it as he sees it and have a better
understanding of how that person feels or thinks and ultimately help in building rapport, persuading
and influencing him/her more easily.
Observe paralanguage Paralanguage refers to body language or other forms of non verbal elements of
communication such as gestures, postures, facial expressions, eye movements etc. Expression of
paralanguage can be both conscious and unconscious and besides the above also includes the pitch,
rhythm and volume of the voice. Matching the tone of voice, pitch and rhythm lets you build instant
rapport.
Identify Meta programs Meta programs in NLP refer to an individual s habitual patterns that he uses in

Speech On Morality And Morality
Morality refers to the concept of proper human action in terms of right and wrong, also referred to as
good and evil. According to Hobbes (1994:11), morality is simply a declaration of rules and beliefs
that are considered absolute guides for human behaviour. According to Hare (1981:27), Morality is a
system of principles and judgments based on cultural, religious, and philosophical concepts and
beliefs, by which humans determine whether given actions, are right or wrong. Moral values and
graciousness, in the past, were prominent in most teenagers. Every individual has capacity for growth.
But a seed cannot grow without nurturing. And farmers don t get to neglect their crops. So moral
values has to be inculcated from infancy. Many years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Civil Rights Act of 1991
Once upon a time our great nation was not so great. Blacks and women of every race did not have
rights like we do now. They were not allowed to vote, work and get paid for equal work. Blacks and
whites were separated, they were not allowed to do or go anywhere there was a white establishment.
There were many protests at this time in our history and many people were hurt and/or died during
political demonstrations. An epic moment in time was when John F. Kennedy brought forth the idea to
pass an act that would protect all people from discrimination of gender, race, color, national origin and
religion. It was a dark time to be a woman or black citizen in our nation. Thus the Civil Rights Act of
1964 was passed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to get compensation from a company for harassment you must have been employed with the
company for at least 20 days or more, and depending on how many employees a company has is how
much compensation they will receive (Bohlander, G.W., Snell, S. (2010).
The Civil Rights Act of 1991 was amended so that employee that are victims of sexual harassment, are
compensated for the damage, whether physical or physiological will receive money for their pain. The
act also covers employee that are intentionally discriminated against. However this act has limitations
like any law. If a company has 14 to 100 employees the compensation would be $50,000, for a
company that has 100 to 200 employees that amount would be $100,000 and if a company has over
500 employees the amount would be $300,000. An employee under the act can also choose to go to
trial if they feel that the compensation for their pain was not substantial enough (Civil Rights Act of

About 1972 there were 2 different types of sexual harassment rules that were passed with the acts of

Herman Melville s Influence On Business
Melville was an American writer and literary scholar who had many views and opinions on different
aspects of American life and culture during the 19th century. He was a well renowned literary who
didn t hold back any thoughts he had to any issues plaguing that time period. Something Melville was
truly passionate about was how corrupt American business was at the time and how it served little
interest in the people. Melville wrote many short stories and passages about his beliefs on the matter
and how he believed things could be changed around for the better. His slight anti establishment views
and the way he perceived the upper classes influence on business also were important things that he
touched on his works. Lets take a look at Herman Melville and how he perceived 19th century
American business practices. First off, Melville took very staunch stances against how the upper class
had a major influence on business and how they gave Wall Street free reign to do as it pleased at the
benefit of the 1% and not to the advantage of the overall American public. Melville thought that most
of these business men were honestly criminals in business suits being overpaid to manipulate and
continue shady business practices to keep the corrupt politicians and the upper class content and to ...

He believed that it was a corrupt crop that had much potential but was instead robbing the American
people blind of their money and America of its morality. He wrote many different stories about how he
felt about this and threw around different ideas to how we can fix them. He was truly a man who
wanted to see the general publics needs meet while also looking for ways that larger businesses can
meet our basic needs as they should. So inconclusion, that is Herman Melvilles take on how American

Types Of Speech Databases
IV. Speech Databases Once the features used for emotion detection are selected, the feature vector for
a number of training data samples should be obtained. Consequently, the next important phase of
building the SER system is to select the database. Prior to selecting the database, it is vital to
understand the different kinds of databases available with speech percepts [4]. Datasets for speech
signals that can be used for emotion detection should be tagged with a text label that denotes the
category of emotion expressed in the speech. Based on the environment used for data collection, the
databases can belong to one of the following categories. 1. A simulated dataset in one in which actors
who are trained artists record speech percepts in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The volunteers belonged to different genders and cultures and spoke different languages. The
emotions recorded in this dataset belong to six categories, namely: Anger, disgust, fear, joy, sadness
and surprise. V. Speech Emotion Detection Algorithms The main function of the emotion detection
system is to use all the collected data and its features to identify the emotion expressed in it. To
perform this a classifier algorithm can be used to create a classification model. There are several
options of classification algorithms that can be used for this purpose. Some of the top choices of
algorithm based on research and existing systems include Bayes classifier, Support Vector Machines
(SVM), Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM), K nearest neighbors (KNN), Hidden Markov Models
(HMM) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). Bayes classifier [11] is one of the oldest classification
algorithm that works based on the Bayes Theorem. Bayes theorem works based on prior probability
values and assumes independence between the features used for analysis. The bayes classification
model works efficiently on very large datasets. It is simple and easy to build. Bayes classifier used in
emotion detection for speech gives an average accuracy of 67%. The nearest neighbor algorithm is a
lazy learning algorithm that analyses many training data samples and relates every test data sample to
the closest matching train data sample to produce an output [12]. In this algorithm a

Bad Boys II And Blue Streak Comparison
Bad Boys II is a 2003 action comedy that was directed by Michael Bay, and starred Will Smith and
Martin Lawrence. The movie follows cops, Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowry, try to take down a drug
dealer and ensure the safety of Marcus sister who is an undercover cop.
The movie Blue Streak is also 1999 action comedy that was directed by Les Mayfield, and starred
Martin Lawrence and Luke Wilson. The movie follows Miles Logan a jewel thief turned fake cop tries
to retrieve a diamond he hid in a construction site that ends up being a police station.
Bad Boys II and Blue Streak have many similarities. They re both action comedies. They even share
an actor, but both movies are also very different. Both of the movies have a driving theme that

this is seen throughout movie. Things happen in quick succession and the plot moves very quickly
without any lull in the action. The movies both take a different approach at main character
development. Blue Streak does a good job developing the main characters in only a few situations. It
develops the character mainly in how they act in think in one environment, but it doesn t show how
the character acts in a variety of situations and environments. Bad Boys II thoroughly develops
characters throughout a range of situations. It gives the viewer insight into the personal lives along

The Importance Of Positive Relationships With Students
In alliance with Maslow s hierarchy of needs, students need positive relationships to be successful in
the classroom. It is important for students to feel important and needed in the classroom. Students
need to be able to identify and see their purpose needed in the classroom, as well as their purpose as a
student. As students identify their purpose in the classroom, they are able to feel supportive in the
classroom. This allows for positive bonds to form and for students to become fully engaged in the
classroom experience. Teachers have the opportunity to provide students with an inclusive, positive,
and enjoyable experience, and failure to do this will cause negative effects on the students socially and
academically. In a study conducted by Marzano, Marzano, and Pickering, positive teacher student
relationships build the foundation for classroom management (Jones Jones, 2016, p.52). It is almost
impossible for a teacher to manage a class without a positive relationship with the students. Students
who do not have a positive relationship with a teacher will not follow rules or obey the teacher. Ways
to establish positive relationships with students include, providing them with a safe space, respect,
showing care, and being culturally competent. Being culturally competent is an essential to build a
positive relationship with students. Gallagher cites Students in high poverty urban schools may benefit
from positive teacher student relationships even more than students in

Allusions In To His Coy Mistress
Upon first glance, Andrew Marvell s To His Coy Mistress presents a simple seduction, as the speaker
uses the passage of time in a straightforward attempt to get his mistress to sleep with him. Using the
threat of inevitable death as a way of urging his mistress to seize the day and have sex with him, the
speaker makes time appear all powerful and controlling for much of the poem. Marvell explores the
theme of time differently in An Horatian Ode Upon Cromwell s Return from Ireland, as the speaker of
this poem describes Cromwell s overthrow of the ancient order by suggesting that he overthrows the
rules and workings of time itself. This interpretation of time as an entity that can be manipulated
influences the portrayal of time in To His ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poem starts out acknowledging the inevitability of death as the speaker tells his mistress, Your
quaint honor turn to dust, / and into ashes all my lust, (29 30). The dry imagery implied in words such
as dust and ashes show that all the heat and passion the speaker and his mistress currently feel are
finite because of time s power. However, as the poem progresses, the speaker realizes that, despite the
ever present threat of eventual death, there is a way to overturn time. He says, Tear our pleasures with
rough strife / through the iron gates of life. / Thus, though we cannot make our sun / stand still, yet we
will make him run, (43 46). The violent diction, evident through words such as tear and rough strife,
suggests that the speaker and his mistress, by having sex, can break through the iron gates of life with
force. Marvell uses hard r and f sounds in his description to emphasize this idea of breaking through.
They would be able to break free from under time s control, thus making the sun run from them rather
than running from time. Making the sun, or time, stand still is not possible, but by having sex, the
speaker and his mistress use a physical act to escape the power of time by reshaping the mould of their

The Dilemmas Of Public Education And Public School...
The greatly discussed dilemma of having a child be taught in a public school setting versus a
homeschool setting has been evaluated by parents since the idea was first introduced in the 1970 s.
Public schooling had been the standard method of teaching since it is a requirement for states to
provide public, free education for children in grades K 12. However, the backlash against the system
began when two educational theorists and supporters of school reform, John Holt and Raymond
Moore, started to question both the techniques and the products of public schools. Some parents went
on to support the ideas of them and began to teach their children in the environment of their own
homes for several different reasons. Some included moral or religious reasons, a desire for high
educational achievement, dissatisfaction with public schools instructional program, or concerns about
drugs and peer pressure in a public school environment. Child development specialists believe that
homeschooled children are isolated from the outside world, therefore making them socially
handicapped. If being exposed to this type of education on an elementary school level, the child can
suffer from the lack of fundamental development of effective social skills needed for a lifetime ahead
of them.
It is believed that by restricting children from the real world and its many problems through home
schooling, they may never get the chance to learn both life lessons and social interaction skills on their
own

Martin Luther King s Speech
Martin Luther King is known the best for fighting for civil rights. He gave his last speech in Memphis
to help the sanitation workers to help him fight for rights and freedom. He empathizes his feeling to
inspire his people to get what they should deserve like other race. His main purpose was to get the
sanitation workers/his people to fight for what they deserve and their rights to be equal. In Martin
Luther King Jr s, I have been on the mountaintop, he gave a speech to help inspire the sanitation
workers to keep fighting for fair and equal treatment by using Anaphora, Allusion, and Metaphor. His
last speech was given in Mason church on April 3, 1968. His Audience that he gave a speech to was

larger occasion was the refusal of Memphis he sees that there was something is happening to the

audience to fight for their treatment and equal rights. Martin Luther King Jr gave a speech to inspire
the sanitation workers to keep fighting for fair treatment by using Anaphora. In his speech, he explains
how black women stabbed him in his chest and he almost dies. One news says that if he had sneeze
then he would have died this. He wanted to show that he almost died. But then he is glad he is still
alive to see the protester help changing the world. And this is why he kept on repeating the word if I
had sneezed before each paragraph he is explaining the several important events in his life to helping
black people during their protest. He was happy that he didn t sneeze or he wouldn t have seen what
changes. This made the audience feel glad for him that he is still alive with them and did not sneeze.
Another thing that he repeats I would ... he says this because if you re claiming is not to stop, you d
better keep going. King also talked about seeing God and being able to be anywhere in history where
he can live. He talks about all the important event in history. And that he would rather live in the 1960

The Decline Of The 21st Century
Americans are not amateurs in challenging the current paradigm and fighting for its shift. The 21st
century has brought about much needed conversions in America. Conversations including gay
marriage rights, fair pay between men and women, gun control laws and many others. These
conversations emerge when our basic human rights are infringed upon. Thus, healthcare in America is
not immune to these conversations; on the contrary, our healthcare system has numerous issues to
address. Among of them, dementia may be one of the most important. Why, you may ask? Let us
begin with the fact that dementia is the sixth leading cause of death in America. According to the
RAND Corporation, backed by the federal administration, 15 percent of people aged 71 or older,
about 3.8 million people, have dementia 5. That information might sound irrelevant to some but it is
vital in understanding the future. In the same report, it is stated that by 2040 that estimate will inflate
to 9.1 million people 5. The rapid progression is due to the maturation of the baby boomer generation.
According to Dr. Richard J. Hodes, director of the National Institute on Aging, there are going to be
more older people with fewer children to be informal caregivers for them, which is going to intensify
the problem even more. The question of how future Americans deal with end of life advanced
dementia has not been nationally agreed upon. Not only will the increase of the elderly population
cause the inevitable

Dysphagia Case Studies
2.1 Dysphagia
Dysphagia is the medical term for the symptom of difficulty in eating and swallowing solid and/or
liquid foods (Germain et al., 2006). It occurs when there is a problem with the neural control or the
structures involved in any part of the swallowing process (National Institutes of Health, 2012). These
problems make it hard for dysphagia people to moves food and liquids from mouth toward the
stomach.
It is estimated that dysphagia affects 18 million adults and millions of children in the United States
and 45% 87% of residents in long term care (Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, 1999;

However, determining who is responsible for sports injuries can be a difficult process given the nature

The African American Many Rivers We Cross Summary
Episode 5 titled Rise of the PBS series The African Americans Many Rivers We Cross , tells the story
of black Americans fighting for their rights. In this essay I am going to talk about key events that took
place, and my thoughts about them.
We first start of in the 1940 s where black Americans pursued economic opportunity in Chicago
through the Auto Industry. Where they could be paid a steady wage job. African Americans were given
the most dangerous jobs located in the foundry. A time in the middle of World War 2, where due to
labor demand the assembly line became integrated. Where segregation ran ramped, and they was a lot
of hatred toward blacks. In 1943 a race war broke out in Detroit. White Americans rioted, abused, and

He used the media in a way that would cause people to look at the unjust acts against the African
American citizens. Like in the case of the march on Selma. Where the visual impact of the brutality
towards African Americans caused an uproar. While Malcom X was a man who truly wanted to
confront the utter hypocrisy of what the government called law. And yet still have so much inequality
towards African Americans.
Then in 1965, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson. And though
this was passed into legislation the voting process were still rigged against African Americans. A
young man James Meredith began to walk along the south to spread awareness of the challenges
African Americans faced to vote. He was shot two days into his cause. The walk was continued by
Martin Luther King, and current SNCC leader Stokely Carmichael. This was the beginning of a

Irony Of The Unheimcanny
1.1. Das Unheimlich: Introduction In the very first few sentences of The Uncanny (1919), Freud
demarcates the uncanny as that which is usually pushed to the periphery of aesthetic investigations.
Traditional aesthetic inquiries prefer to concern themselves with what is beautiful, attractive and
sublime that is, with feelings of a positive nature and with the circumstances and the objects that call
them forth, rather than with the opposite feelings of repulsion and distress . But Freud turns his
investigation towards the domain of the frightening, to an aesthetics of anxiety. Freud s essay which
explores the uncertainty of an uncanny moment has received a lot of careful attention by several
renowned scholars of recent years. However, he was not the first one to undertake the study of this
concept. The essay is responding to Ernst Jentsch s study on the uncanny, called Über die Psychologie

This led to his derivation of the uncanny as a dichotomy of unheimlich/heimlich. Unheimlich,
although translates into the uncanny or eerie in English, etymologically refers to unhomely . Its
seeming antonym, heimlich while on the one hand could refer to that which is familiar and
comfortable, it also means that which remains hidden. The second meaning of heimlich, along with
the meaning of unheimlich, come together to each other in Schelling s remark, who refers to the
uncanny or unheimlich as that which was intended to remain secret, hidden away, and has come into
the open . The overlap between the heimlich and unheimlich, carries within it the ambivalence of the
deeply familiar. The ... unheimlich is what was once heimisch, familiar; the prefix un [ un ] is the
token of repression . Thus, through the lexical investigation, Freud asserts the uncanny (unheimlich)
as being located in the canny (heimlich) itself, but in

Lying In Euripide s Hippolytus
Lying: arguably a shunned act in society. Although lying remains looked upon as evil and corrupt, it
stands as an undeniable aspect of human nature. In Hippolytus by Euripides and excerpts in the Bible,
lying remains clearly evident. Lying comes naturally to characters in these stories, such as Phaedra
and Cain, and validates that lying can be utilized as a shield from outside attacks that destabilize the
social or emotional stability of an individual. Lying remains considerably justifiable, under the correct
circumstances, because it allows one to protect their emotions from being expressed, preserve a social
standing, and avoid discord with others. Often, emotions remain bottled up due to the fear of
developing a weak and powerless image. Protecting one s emotions ... Show more content on

Phaedra s love for Hippolytus, in Hippolytus by Euripides, would shame her social standing. When
Phaedra commits suicide, she makes a statement of how vital her reputation and honor remained for
her. Phaedra told the nurse Curses, hideous curses on that wife who first did shame her marriage vow
for lovers other than her lord! (Euripides). Loving one other than her husband would completely
depreciate her image before, not only her husband, but for society. In her suicide note to her husband,
Phaedra again reveals how vital her reputation remained to her. Artemis acclaims She meantime,

Tagteach
Introduction
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of TAGteach for heightening athletic
performance. Particularly, this study evaluated TAGteach for teaching three dance moves to students
in a dance class. Additionally, this study appraised the implementation of TAGteach by the dance
teachers rather than researcher application.
Method
The subjects for this study were two dance teachers and four female jazz students who were either 6 or
9 years old and had all not conquered their target behaviors. The intervention took place at two
separate dance studios but each contained wooden floors, a mirror that covered the wall, and a barre
the length of the mirror. All four students were looking to improve their skills for competition. The
materials used to conduct the study were a tagger (a small handheld device that makes a click sound
when pressed) and a camera with an HDMI video function for the purpose of data collection.

Results and Discussion The results of this study suggested that each target behavior increased with
exposure to the TAGteach intervention, this includes the TAGteach Token method used by Ashley. For
each student, the mean percentage of skills performed correctly was calculated for baseline and
intervention phases. The results are as follows:
For turn, the mean was 55% in baseline and 87% in intervention (Page 17). For leap, the means were
29% in baseline and 79% in intervention (Page 17). For kick, the means were 25% in baseline and

Explain both concepts and the differences between them. Describe the observations that led to the
hypothesis that dark matter is an important component of the Universe. Describe the suggested
constituents of the dark matter.
There have been many attempts to understand the world we live in, ranging from studies of objects as
small in size as DNA to the study of massive objects as galaxy clusters and even the whole universe.
Being focused on only what can be observed, it had been thought that the universe is completely of
visible matter for most of the past (1) (2). However, after many researches it has been found that the

During the 1970s, dark matter had been discovered accidentally by astronomers Vera Rubin and Kent
Ford, they were observing galaxies and they noticed that stars far from the galaxy centre had a
velocity similar to the celestial objects closer in. The observation was unexpected due to the visible
mass of galaxies lacking the required gravity to keep the further stars in the orbit, therefore the
astronomers were faced with a missing mass problem and the concept of dark matter had been created
(16). The main problem with dark matter is that we can t observe it directly, we must indirectly study
its interaction with normal matter to be learn more about it (17). There may be a misconception
between what is observed and what is known to be there, for example; if a man is floating mid air, due
to the fact that humans are unable to fly; it can be concluded that there must be something holding the
man up there (2). In 1997, Hubble Space Telescope revealed light from far galaxies bent due a mass of
250 times greater than the visible mass which that scientists believe dark matter is the reason for (18).
Also, NASA s Chandra X ray observatory had been used by astronomers to measure the allocation of
dark matter in an immense constellation of galaxies located around a billion light year from earth, the
cluster is engulfed by a significant amount of clouds of hot gas, from the observation it had been
found that the amount of dark matter is a hundred trillion more than the mass of the sun which held
the cluster of gravities together (17). Comprehending dark matter is an important task to understand
the most vital aspects of the

Anatomy And Anatomy Of Anatomy
The lights in the ER blink as the storm rages on outside. I snap back from the sadness of the weather
to the job at hand. I rush to the ER to see my patient has broken bones, a punctured lung, and a
laceration along his calf. There s so much blood everywhere, coming from every open wound on his
body. His muscles torn apart and his heart pounding trying to stay alive. Now was my chance
everything I learned about anatomy could help me in this moment. No more time to be wasted I go
into the room with anatomy deep in my veins. The knowledge of anatomy helps in the saving of lives,
but we didn t always have this information. Anatomy has a history, however, how did it all begin, and
who brought the knowledge of human anatomy to us. To understand where it all began we have to
journey back to 300 BC in the ancient city of Alexandria where we meet Herophilus. For him, it wasn
t easy to study human anatomy because there was a ban on dissections in Alexandria. However once
that ban was lifted Herophilus was the first person in Greece to publicly dissect both human cadavers
and animals. Herophilus was then deemed the father of anatomy and with more studying on the brain
he learned that it was the center of the nervous system. Before his time though there was the father of
medicine or Hippocrates. Hippocrates was one of the greatest physicians of his time, and also brought
the world of anatomy the Hippocratic oath. Now back to today we ve advanced further in the

Descartes Meditations Ontological Argument Essay
Descartes Meditations Ontological Argument
Descartes s fifth Meditation argument for God s existence relies on an untenable notion that existence
is a perfection and that it can be predicated of God. I shall first explain what Descartes s argument for
God s existence is, and then present his argument in propositional form. I will then attempt to support
the argument that existence is neither a perfection nor a predicate of God.
In our thoughts we apprehend ideas of things. These ideas may reside entirely within our thoughts or
they may exist independent of our considerations of them (Descartes 143). Descartes argues that the
idea of God is that He is infinite substance [eternal, immutable], independent, all knowing, ... Show

Existence, therefore, should more properly be thought of as a prerequisite for perfection and not a
perfection in and of itself. Descartes disagrees however, and in his reply to Gassendi he argues that
existence is necessarily predicated of God because existence is a part of the true essence of any perfect
being (Plantinga 49). For Descartes, it is not possible for us to possess the idea of a most perfect being
if this being lacks the most important characteristic of existence. If God did not exist then He would
not be the most perfect being, but we clearly have the idea of the most perfect being so therefore He
must exist. The problem with this notion, however, is that Descartes begs the question by building into
premise (2) the concept of a perfect being which has yet to be demonstrated. In order to demonstrate
God s existence, Descartes should not assume, or presuppose, that which he is attempting to conclude.
But by predicating the existence of God in (2) he has already concluded that which is later restated in
the conclusion. In effect, the follower of Descartes s argument is tricked, for if he or she agrees with
the foundational premises for the sake of the argument (that existence is predicated of a most perfect
being), then there is no choice left but to conclude that God exists.
Further, predicating the existence of a most perfect being based upon the attributes that this being is
believed to possess fails to provide existence to

2. In what may be a first for the hospitality industry, Brian Collins, hotel owner, has asked James
McBride, Ritz Carlton general manager, to lengthen the amount of time spent training hotel employees
before hotel opening. Should McBride lengthen the 7 Day Countdown?
As I summarized at the first question, The seven day countdown was a well defined hotel opening
process, aimed at aligning the employee with the vision and mission of the organization. But I think
McBride should lengthen the seven day countdown by following reasons.
First of all, nowadays, customers requirements are changing very rapidly and diversified much. So I
think extending the seven day countdown means investing in long standing excellence in areas such as
employee orientation and customer oriented training resulting in increased customer engagement and
satisfaction. By lengthening training session, The Ritz Carlton hotel can meet with customers
requirements with flawless services.
Secondly, the customers who use the hotel are diversified. Not as in 1980s or 1990s, so many
customers from different countries which have very different culture are coming nowadays. To follow
up these different customers wants, the company should train employees more intensively and
precisely, so I think seven days are too short to do that. For example, managers can add probation time
that a senior member works with their juniors for one or two weeks and gives them real time
experiences which is very

Analysis Of The Book Black Hearts
The book Black Hearts opened my eyes to how leadership from a single Officer can have a grappling
effect on such a wide range of soldiers from the lowest of ranks. One of the best takeaways from
Black Hearts is to never do anything: illegal, unethical, or immoral. Although this is a easy statement
to repeat, Black Hearts demonstrates the difficulties that lie behind these words. It has also painted a
picture of how leadership can topple extremely quickly from a top down view. The Army is portrayed
in a bad light throughout the book relentlessly. This is due to the concentration of poor leadership of
the 1 502nd Regiment (Referred to as First Strike ), a battalion of the 101st Airborne Division.
Frederick starts Black Hearts by showing the readers how there was bad tension between the soldiers
and their higher leadership prior to their deployment. This internally means that there was no esprit de
corps between the 1 502nd. If there is bad blood between the leadership and their men, it is extremely
difficult to gain their trust or respect once you are on deployment. Although they are required to
follow orders from their higher leadership, they will be obeying out of resentment instead of respect. A
lot of the time, first platoon, Bravo Company, 1 502nd Regiment was respecting the rank and not the
person. This is a common term in the military, which Frederick brings to light in the book. The 1
502nd deployed to the Triangle of Death from October of 2005

Relations of Urie Bronfenbrenner the Ecological Systems...
Introduction
The purpose of this essay is to choose and summaries one developmental theory; and discuss its
relevance in relation to findings from the Growing up in New Zealand study.
I have chosen Urie Bronfenbrenner the Ecological Systems Theory. I will look at the findings of the
Now We Are Born Report that has collated study cohort data from birth to 9 months old (Morton,
Atatoa Carr, Grant, Lee, Bandara, Mohal, Kinloch...et al 2012). I will discuss how two finding relate
to Brofenbreener s model.
Urie Bronfenbrenner: Ecological System Theory
Urie Bronfenbrenner states that in order to understand human development, one must consider the
entire ecological system in which growth occurs (Brofenbrenner, 1993). His Ecological System
Theory describes five different concentric layers (see figure 1.0) of differing environment context that
interact to affect child development (Clairborne, Drewey 2010, p20).
Figure 1.0. Retrieved and adapted from:
http://faculty.weber.edu/tlday/human.development/ecological.htm
At the centre, the child, who s genes, genetic predispositions and temperament influences their
biological process, behavior and personality. The child interacts with the Microsystem or the system in
which the child lives. The agents of socialisation the child interacts with directly such as family, peers,
and daycare. This interaction is two ways and the child s participations helps create the environment
the interaction takes place in (Santrock, 2004, p 50).

Brotherhood In The Canterbury Tales
Throughout time, we have seen over and over men losing their minds because of women. In Geoffrey
Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales, we see it again. Palamon and Arcite break their knightly oath of
brotherhood over a woman by the name of Emily. As knights, they are supposed to follow the rules of
chivalry. But in their case they fight over a woman, why is that is that acceptable? The reason the
knight night told this story was to prove that knights also get swept away by women, and it is also part
of being a knight. Another point to make is Palamon and Arcite are the basically the same person in
character. Why did Chaucer and/or the Knight make them a little different? However, this is done to

Men will act very stupid when they are around a beautiful woman. When a man falls in love with a

Palamon that Love is a gretter lawe. This shows that love does conquer all. People would anything for

the sake of love, and still to this day kill for love. Palamon lives to marry Emily but has to face that he

Sometimes we are scared or paranoid about bacteria or germ because it can give us illness or can spoil

our body is warm and moist that bacteria perfect place to multiply. But not all bacteria are harmful in

He frequently uses the term hieroglyph as a way to represent something visually and without words, as
the Egyptians did with hieroglyphs. Artaud seems to prefer the strict rules of Balinese theatre to the
relative freedom of European/Occidental theatre. Of this idea of pure theatre, which is merely
theoretical in the Occident and to which no one has ever attempted to give the least reality, the
Balinese off us a stupefying realization, suppressing all possibility of recourse to words for the
elucidation of the most abstract themes inventing a language of gesture to be developed in space, a
language without meaning except in the circumstances of the stage (61). Oriental and Occidental
Theatre Here Artaud criticizes Occidental theatre for its dependence on the word and praises Oriental
theatre for its independence from it. Again, Oriental theatre is superior because of its use of imagery
and its metaphysical nature, whereas Occidental theatre is inferior because it is absorbed in
psychology and internal struggles. It is not a matter of suppressing speech in the theatre but of
changing its role, and especially of reducing its position, of considering it as something else than a
means of conducting human characters to their external ends, since the theatre is concerned only with
the way feelings and passions conflict with one another, and man with man, in life (72). No More

SOCIAL PERFORMANCE
Contributions to Community
The Qantas Group has a strong sense of obligation to support the societies in which they operate.
Partnerships, charitable fundraising, volunteer works by employees and emergency humanitarian aid
are being undertaken throughout the year. In short, Qantas works hard to uphold its position as a
responsible corporate entity and an iconic Australian company. Some of their initiatives and programs
are:
Qantas Helping Hands Community
The Qantas Helping Hands Community (QHHC) comprises of keen volunteers who render support by

Kant s Principles Of The Metaphysics Of Morals
An Analysis of a Few Elements in Immanuel Kant s
Fundamental Principles of the Metaphysics of Morals
Immanuel Kant offered a reorientation on how the established questions of metaphysics can be
resolved. He claimed that man s mind constructs human experience and that reality must agree with
the mind s notions, in contradiction of the view that the mind is a reflection of reality. His
interpretation was that the mind is capable of actively creating experiences instead of passively being
shaped by reality. Kant further believed that man possesses an objective knowledge of the universe. A
priori laws were the basis of this knowledge; but, questioned its possibility. His assertions specified
that the subject provides the laws that create the experiences of objects and that these laws were a
priori laws that man holds about all objects prior to man s experiences about them. To understand
these laws, Kant investigated man s experiences, specifying those which are given by the mind apart
from those which were provided by instincts. He further argued that morality is derived from reason
and this reason is the origin of man s morality, which he referred to as the Categorical Imperative.
According to Kant, if this categorical imperative is defied, man becomes irrational and immoral. His
logic consisted of inducing from people s daily sensible knowledge of morality, which he referred to
as practical reason, into metaphysical understanding. As Kant attempted to reorient an

Voodoo Season Summary
Intro The practice of Voodoo has been around for many centuries. The word itself means the great
spirit. It originally started with the African slaves who combined their West African traditions and
beliefs with Catholicism. To many Voodoo has been seen as cult and something that begets fear. This
has been a common misunderstanding and misconception and that is part of the reason why I have
chosen this topic. If one were to look up the definition of Voodoo it would be defined as an African
religious cult practiced in the Caribbean and later in the Unites States, which involves animism,
sorcery, religious rituals and spirit possession. Although some of the above is true people perceive that
definition in a negative form. The portrayal of Voodoo ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A good person forms their own positive relationship with Voodoo, like an evil person forms their
negative relationship. Throughout the story we see that Marie channels her abilities in a good way
because she is a selfless person seeking to help everyone she can. Selfless humans put others needs
before their own needs and they are willing to lookout for others as opposed to looking out for
themselves. However, Allez who is a selfish person uses his abilities in an evil way for his own self
gain. Selfish humans can be envious and resentful and are not willing to cooperate with anyone unless
it is to reach their own goals. Source 2 Summary: In the film, The Princess and the Frog, by director
Ron Clements we meet our protagonist Tiana, who is a hardworking waitress who aspires to own her
own restaurant. A prince named Naveen is turned into a frog by an evil Voodoo witch doctor. When
Tiana kisses Prince Naveen to turn him human she too is transformed into a frog. They are both set on
a journey to find the good Voodoo priestess with the help of friends to become humans again. Tiana
and Prince Naveen fall in love and once they are changed into humans they are married and live

Battle Of Palmito Ranch Thesis
Have you ever been so passionate about something in life that no matter what, you didn t want to see it
end? I think that Commander Theodore H. Barrett had that same desire. In May of 1865, Commander
Theodore H. Barnett led troops into what is known as the last battle of the Civil War. The Battle of
Palmito Ranch did not impact the outcome of the Civil War; but it still made history. This battle was
led by a man who wasn t ready to see the Civil War end, a man who was passionate about what he was
fighting for. The Battle of Palmito Ranch was the last land action battle of the Civil War. Both the
Union and Confederate forces were aware of the surrender of Robert E. Lee, just a few weeks before.
On May 1, 1865 there was a steamer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the battle is being fought, ground is taken and ground is taken away. Many times in a battle each
side feels like they have the upper hand. This battle was no different from the rest of them.
Commander Theodore H. Barrett thought he had the upper hand many times. Many people claimed he
went into to this battle to see more action before the war ended. Despite the war coming to an obvious
end, he ordered for his troops to head out to Brownsville, Texas. He started The Battle of Palmito
Ranch with the upper hand, planning a surprise attack. The Confederates across the border gave away
their position, so Commander Barrett had no other choice than to retreat. The Union s first expedition
was successful. They got a few prisoners and some supplies, but they did not achieve the desire of
surprise. Later in the afternoon the Confederate forces counterattacked with less than 100 cavalry.
That drove the Union back into White s Ranch, where the fighting stop for the night. The
Confederates and the Union sent for reinforcements. The Union started to move westward with
skirmishes along the way. Where the Commander of the Union attacked and then flanked them.
Although it wasn t enough and the Confederates took the win for this

The Advantages of Paperless Dentistry
With you next visit to the dentist, pretend you are a brand new patient. If you are greeted with a
clipboard and looking at a whole entire wall of charts behind the reception desk, are you going to
think, Many its 2014 charts and clipboards just scream old and out dated. Whether right or wrong. It is
true that patients do form beliefs about the work and quality of your dentistry based on these things.
Now think if you walked in and the reception area was uncluttered, desks with computers and ipads,
plants and beautiful artwork on the walls. Would you say that communicates something about your
practice? Would you say that you already feel more comfortable and trusting because you trust and
believe that your practice provides the best in modern dentistry? If so then you should really consider
going paperless. In a thriving office you will most likely see an all digital office. With an all digital
office you don t only spend less time charting and organizing, you also make your practice a planet
friendly office. In a green dental office we understand that by converting not only charting but
scheduling, billing, and marketing to digital means higher profitability, improved efficiency between
staff and doctor, and of course a smaller environmental footprint. In a non paperless dental office, they
can go through an average of 10000 sheets of paper every year just for patient charts. Not included in
those charts is the paper used to make the file folders themselves.

To perform this a classifier algorithm can be used to create a classification model. There are several options of classification algorithms that can be used for this purpose. Some of the top choices of algorithm based on research and existing systems include Bayes classifier, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM), K nearest neighbors (KNN), Hidden Markov Models (HMM) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). Bayes classifier [11] is one of the oldest classification algorithm that works based on the Bayes Theorem. Bayes theorem works based on prior probability values and assumes independence between the features used for analysis. The bayes classification model works efficiently on very large datasets. It is simple and easy to build. Bayes classifier used in emotion detection for speech gives an average accuracy of 67%. • 10. The Importance Of Positive Relationships With Students In alliance with Maslow s hierarchy of needs, students need positive relationships to be successful in the classroom. It is important for students to feel important and needed in the classroom. Students need to be able to identify and see their purpose needed in the classroom, as well as their purpose as a student. As students identify their purpose in the classroom, they are able to feel supportive in the classroom. This allows for positive bonds to form and for students to become fully engaged in the classroom experience. Teachers have the opportunity to provide students with an inclusive, positive, and enjoyable experience, and failure to do this will cause negative effects on the students socially and academically. In a study conducted by Marzano, Marzano, and Pickering, positive teacher student relationships build the foundation for classroom management (Jones Jones, 2016, p.52). It is almost impossible for a teacher to manage a class without a positive relationship with the students. Students who do not have a positive relationship with a teacher will not follow rules or obey the teacher. Ways to establish positive relationships with students include, providing them with a safe space, respect, showing care, and being culturally competent. • 11. Allusions In To His Coy Mistress Upon first glance, Andrew Marvell s To His Coy Mistress presents a simple seduction, as the speaker uses the passage of time in a straightforward attempt to get his mistress to sleep with him. Using the threat of inevitable death as a way of urging his mistress to seize the day and have sex with him, the speaker makes time appear all powerful and controlling for much of the poem. Marvell explores the theme of time differently in An Horatian Ode Upon Cromwell s Return from Ireland, as the speaker of this poem describes Cromwell s overthrow of the ancient order by suggesting that he overthrows the rules and workings of time itself. The poem starts out acknowledging the inevitability of death as the speaker tells his mistress, Your quaint honor turn to dust, / and into ashes all my lust, (29 30). The dry imagery implied in words such as dust and ashes show that all the heat and passion the speaker and his mistress currently feel are finite because of time s power. However, as the poem progresses, the speaker realizes that, despite the ever present threat of eventual death, there is a way to overturn time. He says, Tear our pleasures with rough strife / through the iron gates of life. / Thus, though we cannot make our sun / stand still, yet we will make him run, (43 46). The violent diction, evident through words such as tear and rough strife, suggests that the speaker and his mistress, by having sex, can break through the iron gates of life with force. Marvell uses hard r and f sounds in his description to emphasize this idea of breaking through. They would be able to break free from under time s control, thus making the sun run from them rather than running from time. • 12. The Dilemmas Of Public Education And Public School... The greatly discussed dilemma of having a child be taught in a public school setting versus a homeschool setting has been evaluated by parents since the idea was first introduced in the 1970 s. Public schooling had been the standard method of teaching since it is a requirement for states to provide public, free education for children in grades K 12. However, the backlash against the system began when two educational theorists and supporters of school reform, John Holt and Raymond Moore, started to question both the techniques and the products of public schools. Some parents went on to support the ideas of them and began to teach their children in the environment of their own homes for several different reasons. Some included moral or religious reasons, a desire for high educational achievement, dissatisfaction with public schools instructional program, or concerns about drugs and peer pressure in a public school environment. Child development specialists believe that homeschooled children are isolated from the outside world, therefore making them socially handicapped. If being exposed to this type of education on an elementary school level, the child can suffer from the lack of fundamental development of effective social skills needed for a lifetime ahead of them. It is believed that by restricting children from the real world and its many problems through home schooling, they may never get the chance to learn both life lessons and social interaction skills on their own ... Thus, healthcare in America is not immune to these conversations; on the contrary, our healthcare system has numerous issues to address. Among of them, dementia may be one of the most important. Particularly, this study evaluated TAGteach for teaching three dance moves to students in a dance class. Additionally, this study appraised the implementation of TAGteach by the dance teachers rather than researcher application. Method The subjects for this study were two dance teachers and four female jazz students who were either 6 or 9 years old and had all not conquered their target behaviors. The intervention took place at two separate dance studios but each contained wooden floors, a mirror that covered the wall, and a barre the length of the mirror. All four students were looking to improve their skills for competition. Describe the observations that led to the hypothesis that dark matter is an important component of the Universe. Describe the suggested constituents of the dark matter. There have been many attempts to understand the world we live in, ranging from studies of objects as small in size as DNA to the study of massive objects as galaxy clusters and even the whole universe. During the 1970s, dark matter had been discovered accidentally by astronomers Vera Rubin and Kent Ford, they were observing galaxies and they noticed that stars far from the galaxy centre had a velocity similar to the celestial objects closer in. The observation was unexpected due to the visible mass of galaxies lacking the required gravity to keep the further stars in the orbit, therefore the astronomers were faced with a missing mass problem and the concept of dark matter had been created (16). The main problem with dark matter is that we can t observe it directly, we must indirectly study its interaction with normal matter to be learn more about it (17). There may be a misconception between what is observed and what is known to be there, for example; if a man is floating mid air, due to the fact that humans are unable to fly; it can be concluded that there must be something holding the man up there (2). In 1997, Hubble Space Telescope revealed light from far galaxies bent due a mass of 250 times greater than the visible mass which that scientists believe dark matter is the reason for (18). Also, NASA s Chandra X ray observatory had been used by astronomers to measure the allocation of dark matter in an immense constellation of galaxies located around a billion light year from earth, the cluster is engulfed by a significant amount of clouds of hot gas, from the observation it had been found that the amount of dark matter is a hundred trillion more than the mass of the sun which held the cluster of gravities together (17). Anatomy has a history, however, how did it all begin, and who brought the knowledge of human anatomy to us. To understand where it all began we have to journey back to 300 BC in the ancient city of Alexandria where we meet Herophilus. For him, it wasn t easy to study human anatomy because there was a ban on dissections in Alexandria. However once that ban was lifted Herophilus was the first person in Greece to publicly dissect both human cadavers and animals. Herophilus was then deemed the father of anatomy and with more studying on the brain he learned that it was the center of the nervous system. • 26. Descartes Meditations Ontological Argument Essay Descartes Meditations Ontological Argument Descartes s fifth Meditation argument for God s existence relies on an untenable notion that existence is a perfection and that it can be predicated of God. I shall first explain what Descartes s argument for God s existence is, and then present his argument in propositional form. I will then attempt to support the argument that existence is neither a perfection nor a predicate of God. In our thoughts we apprehend ideas of things. These ideas may reside entirely within our thoughts or they may exist independent of our considerations of them (Descartes 143). Descartes argues that the idea of God is that He is infinite substance [eternal, immutable], independent, all knowing, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Existence, therefore, should more properly be thought of as a prerequisite for perfection and not a perfection in and of itself. Descartes disagrees however, and in his reply to Gassendi he argues that existence is necessarily predicated of God because existence is a part of the true essence of any perfect being (Plantinga 49). For Descartes, it is not possible for us to possess the idea of a most perfect being if this being lacks the most important characteristic of existence. If God did not exist then He would not be the most perfect being, but we clearly have the idea of the most perfect being so therefore He must exist. The problem with this notion, however, is that Descartes begs the question by building into premise (2) the concept of a perfect being which has yet to be demonstrated. In order to demonstrate God s existence, Descartes should not assume, or presuppose, that which he is attempting to conclude. But by predicating the existence of God in (2) he has already concluded that which is later restated in the conclusion. In effect, the follower of Descartes s argument is tricked, for if he or she agrees with the foundational premises for the sake of the argument (that existence is predicated of a most perfect being), then there is no choice left but to conclude that God exists. Further, predicating the existence of a most perfect being based upon the attributes that this being is believed to possess fails to provide existence to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Should McBride lengthen the 7 Day Countdown? As I summarized at the first question, The seven day countdown was a well defined hotel opening process, aimed at aligning the employee with the vision and mission of the organization. But I think McBride should lengthen the seven day countdown by following reasons. First of all, nowadays, customers requirements are changing very rapidly and diversified much. So I think extending the seven day countdown means investing in long standing excellence in areas such as employee orientation and customer oriented training resulting in increased customer engagement and satisfaction. By lengthening training session, The Ritz Carlton hotel can meet with customers requirements with flawless services. Secondly, the customers who use the hotel are diversified. Not as in 1980s or 1990s, so many customers from different countries which have very different culture are coming nowadays. Analysis Of The Book Black Hearts The book Black Hearts opened my eyes to how leadership from a single Officer can have a grappling effect on such a wide range of soldiers from the lowest of ranks. One of the best takeaways from Black Hearts is to never do anything: illegal, unethical, or immoral. Although this is a easy statement to repeat, Black Hearts demonstrates the difficulties that lie behind these words. It has also painted a picture of how leadership can topple extremely quickly from a top down view. The Army is portrayed in a bad light throughout the book relentlessly. This is due to the concentration of poor leadership of the 1 502nd Regiment (Referred to as First Strike ), a battalion of the 101st Airborne Division. Frederick starts Black Hearts by showing the readers how there was bad tension between the soldiers and their higher leadership prior to their deployment. This internally means that there was no esprit de corps between the 1 502nd. If there is bad blood between the leadership and their men, it is extremely difficult to gain their trust or respect once you are on deployment. Although they are required to follow orders from their higher leadership, they will be obeying out of resentment instead of respect. A lot of the time, first platoon, Bravo Company, 1 502nd Regiment was respecting the rank and not the person. This is a common term in the military, which Frederick brings to light in the book. Urie Bronfenbrenner: Ecological System Theory Urie Bronfenbrenner states that in order to understand human development, one must consider the entire ecological system in which growth occurs (Brofenbrenner, 1993). His Ecological System Theory describes five different concentric layers (see figure 1.0) of differing environment context that interact to affect child development (Clairborne, Drewey 2010, p20). • 40. Kant s Principles Of The Metaphysics Of Morals An Analysis of a Few Elements in Immanuel Kant s Fundamental Principles of the Metaphysics of Morals Immanuel Kant offered a reorientation on how the established questions of metaphysics can be resolved. He claimed that man s mind constructs human experience and that reality must agree with the mind s notions, in contradiction of the view that the mind is a reflection of reality. His interpretation was that the mind is capable of actively creating experiences instead of passively being shaped by reality. Kant further believed that man possesses an objective knowledge of the universe. A priori laws were the basis of this knowledge; but, questioned its possibility. His assertions specified that the subject provides the laws that create the experiences of objects and that these laws were a priori laws that man holds about all objects prior to man s experiences about them. To understand these laws, Kant investigated man s experiences, specifying those which are given by the mind apart from those which were provided by instincts. He further argued that morality is derived from reason and this reason is the origin of man s morality, which he referred to as the Categorical Imperative. According to Kant, if this categorical imperative is defied, man becomes irrational and immoral. His logic consisted of inducing from people s daily sensible knowledge of morality, which he referred to as practical reason, into metaphysical understanding. As Kant attempted to reorient an ...
