Tulipmania
What was Tulipmania? Tulipmania was the craze trade of tulip bulbs in Holland. The selling and
trading of tulips went on until 1637 when it took a sudden downhill. (Goldgar) Back then they would
sell tulip bulbs for more than the price of their house. This is a perfect example of the many risks you
take that can lead to a financial crash ( A story of tulips and bitcoin : When tulips cost as much ... ).
The main place for trading tulips was the Menniste Bryloft, owned by Jan Theunisz at the time. The
Mennist Bryloft was a tavern in Amsterdam, Holland. Lots of visitors and tourists would come to this
tavern just to see the different artwork, water features, and to trade tulip bulbs. People with similar
interests to tulip trading would also meet here. The people that would meet here were often apart of a
drama or poetic group(Goldgar). The tulip was first found in Europe in the late 16th century(Price).
There are lots of different types of tulips that they would trade. The tulips contained a virus that
changed the appearance of the tulip(Beattie). There are red and yellow striped tulips and purple and
white striped tulips called switsers(Goldgar). There are over 3,000 varieties of tulips( Tulip Types ). (

As shown in this picture prices for tulips gradually increased and dramatically decreased over a short
period of time. This dramatic decrease of price came with the loss of selling tulips. Tulips sold for
really high prices when everybody wanted them. Later when lots of people started to sell tulips for
profits, nobody would buy any because everybody was trying to do the same thing(Price). This ended
in one of the biggest economic crashes. Causing everybody to go

A Play At The Mixed Blood Theatre By Branden Jacobs Jenkins
The play I went to go to see was called An Octoroon written by Branden Jacobs Jenkins. I have never
been to a play at the Mixed Blood Theatre, so I was very excited to go and see this play. This play has
been mentioned a lot lately by some of my theatre professors, and they said it would be very
interesting. They also mentioned to not worry about the bunny too much, but I did. I am very glad I
got to see this unique play with its many interesting views. The beginning of the play was very
interesting in several ways. Firstly, the choice of dialect took me surprise because of its vulgar nature.
I personally enjoyed the use of speech because I find it interesting when people use words freely when
they are normally looked down upon. The music that was played gave made another strong impression
on me. The title of the song was Bonfire by Childish Gambino, and it set a very interesting mood. It
definitely took me by surprise and I did not know how to react in that situation. I just stared with my
mouth open and tried to figure out why that song was being played. Another thing that I found
interesting was when the actors put makeup and different clothes on in front of us. Seeing the actors
start changing into new characters right in front of me made me very intrigued about how people can
break the socially constructed ideas of how theatre works.
The middle of the play made me confused for a good chunk of the time. The bunny was beyond
creepy and I tried to understand what its

Radiology Vs Accounting
When I was younger I didn t really know what I wanted to be. I knew some things that I liked to do,
like help people or anything that has to do with money, but I wasn t really sure what I wanted to major
in. Entering into college I was trying to figure out what major I would like to pursue in. I was looking
in radiology and accounting. Finding more information about radiology and accountancy will help me
to narrow down or confirm what major I will choose.
To me I define radiology to be when you basically take x ray image of people who are sick or injured.
Dr. Mestrovic defines radiology as, Radiology represents a branch of medicine that deals with radiant

So in order to succeed in one of these field that person needs to develop a growth mindset. If anyone
choses to go into any one of these field my advice for them is to not be afraid of taking chances and

improvement to the operational process has been introduced in the form of Buy Online, Pickup in

Inc. should minimize the time for order processing to allow customers place orders online using

between placing orders and receiving the orders in stores. Enhanced shopping applications for mobile
devices continue to constitute a large focus of Macy s organizational strategy. According to Business

reach desired product with fewer clicks, check out more quickly, as well as the enhanced ability to
manage gift registries (par. 8). At the same time, Macy s should continue to provide adequate Internet
access throughout its stores to allow customers use their mobile applications for shopping. Heller

Peace, serenity, consciousness, and enlightenment; these four qualities are strived for throughout our
stressful daily lives. They can be found in passing moments, but for me, it is when the crisp summer
air is flowing through my disheveled hair. When the sun is beating down on my sun kissed skin. When
music is blaring from my speakers. This is when I am serene. This is when I am at one with the world.
Rubber rolling across the pavement as my Wrangler fills the asphalt streets with its freeing beauty.
Sitting in front of my red Jeep s steering wheel brings peace and understanding to my mind. My 1998

Her top and doors are absent, just as a coaster car, letting her passengers experience the beautiful

feature keeping me from falling out is the dainty fettuccine seatbelt wrapped across my lap, tightening,
like a mother holding her child, as I come to every stop. Among every turn and curve, I am a boat
being hit by a wave, tilting and swaying side to side. Throughout the ride, smells of sustenance and
freshly cut grass penetrate my nostrils. For these reasons, Sadie, most literally, has an open door

Sadie, there is a sense of inclusivity amid Jeep Wrangler

The Identity of Black Women in the Post-Bellum Period...
The Identity of Black Women in the Post Bellum Period 1865 1885
Throughout history, the black woman has always had a multitude of responsibilities thrust upon her
shoulders. This was never truer than for southern black women in the period between 1865 and 1885.
In this span of twenty years, these women were responsible for their children, their husbands,
supporting their families, their fight for freedom as black citizens and as women, their sexual freedom,
and various other issues that impacted their lives. All of these aspects of the black woman s life
defined who she was. Each of her experiences and battles shaped the life that she lived, and the way
she was perceived by the outside world.
Who were these women, and how did the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the first things that the black woman attempted, after gaining her freedom, was to obtain a job.
These women learned quickly, however, that they would not be equals just because they were now
free. The job opportunities available to black women, like many other aspects of their lives, would be
of much less quality than the jobs offered to the rest of the population. They would be low paying,
involve extended hours, and would put them in constant danger; black women would have to negotiate
the literal rough terrain of Atlanta and the social consequences it imposed on their everyday lives as
they struggled to earn a living for their families and searched for peace of mind. They would have to
persevere in their quest to work and support their household.
After the Civil War, all black citizens of the Unites States were allegedly free. The thirteenth
amendment banning slavery had been passed and the reconstruction of the South was moving along
swiftly. This promised freedom, however, was far from what was expected. There were many laws and
forces at work to keep blacks in some type of involuntary servitude. Some of the laws that limited
black freedom included making it a crime to hire away a worker who had been under contract with a
different employer (so called enticement laws), various contract enforcement statutes that bound the
black worker to their employer, and vagrancy statutes in which unemployed

How Did The Industrial Revolution Affect The...
In the pre globalization world fashion had a vertical trend. As geographic borders merged through
trade, travel, communication, and technology, information and ideas for fashion were transmitted.
Though international trade of fibers and textiles has influenced cultures throughout history, increasing
technology has resulted in diffusion of trends to the four corners of the globe. The Industrial
Revolution improved the quality of life in the lower class, causing fashion to become more
democratic. Technology allows items and people to travel worldwide faster than ever, and images and
information can be communicated instantaneously. However, to adapt to the fierce competitiveness of
the global market, the fashion industry has relocated production to developing countries with poor
working conditions; for democratization of fashion to be complete these inequities must change
(Gestal, 2015).
Historically, clogs were protective footwear worn over shoes by farmers, factory workers, and miners
in Scandinavia. Clogs are descendants of the galoce a high wooden shoe worn by peasant women from
the Ardennes Region to protect their shoes from muddy dirt streets (Ryan, 2010). Wooden shoes date
back to the time of the Roman Empire. Clogs were mainly made of wood, with rigid wooden soles,
they provided warmth, protection, and were very durable. Clogs gained popularity in the Netherlands
where they were worn as shoes, instead of over shoes. The popularity of clogs grew in Europe during

Hanger Limb Research Paper
Robotic Prosthesis
Prosthesis have been around since the early 1400 century. One of the first functioning limb
replacement was created around the renaissance times. It was a replacement hand for a general who
lost a hand in war. The hand was constructed from copper and steel.
By the late 1500 century, a French Army barber/surgeon Ambroise Paré was to be considered the
father of prosthesis surgery. He was one of the best when it came to saving enough limb to allow for a
prosthetic limb. By this time the advancement in these fake limbs had grown from crude made hands
to fully functioning legs. As the U. S. Civil War dragged on, the number of amputations rose
astronomically, forcing Americans to enter the field of prosthetics. james Hanger, one of the first
amputees of the Civil War, developed what he later patented as the Hanger Limb from whittled barrel
staves. (Kim M. Norton) For many years a perfect prosthetic was not a thought. Many people that had
to have a limb cut off would not have a very usable fake limb. Most of the time the remnants of the
limb where down in the field to soldiers and were not done properly. Since the limbs were cut off very
roughly many people would die do to disease. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The prosthesis has gone from a steel mechanical leg to a fully functioning robotic leg. This leg can
walk like a human and make not having a limb no longer a challenge. A downside to these types of
prosthesis is that they are very expensive. And average robotic arm can cost at a minimum of 11,000
dollars according to Aaron Saenz. These arms are a base model to keep in mind. Most of them can t do
things like read impulses from your brain. A new discovery with moving the nerves of an arm to the
lower bicep led to the invention of the first fully functional thought controlled robot prosthesis.(Jon

Adoption Debate
When we speak about adoptions, we commonly think about a couple going into a legal contract to
care for a child that they themselves did not bear or we may think about a pet. With both of these cases
there are careful considerations that we need to take into account. For a child the parents to be may be
thinking about if they want a boy or a girl, what kind of diapers and formula to purchase, and how to
furnish the room, just to mention a few things. For a pet we will take into consideration the species
and the breed. Do we want a dog, cat, fish, snake, and what are the implications of having that pet.
What is the best type of nourishment, shelter, and care is widely researched. If we spend so much time
researching all of these things for children and pets; why are we not spending the time that we need in
researching our plants? After all, without the proper shelter, nutrition and care plants will not be able
to flourish. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This raises the question: How is this possible? In order to understand the validity of the statement we
must first understand our past. If anyone were to state that there is an African influence in Egyptian
history most of us would not think to challenge this statement due to the close proximity of Egypt and
Africa. When you take that into account, it would be hard to grasp the concept that there would be an
African influence in America before Columbus due to the distance in between Africa and America. It
is interesting to know that the negroid element is well proven by the large Olmec stone mountains
(Sertima, 1976 p. 21), therefore we must take into account that there was an African influence in
America before Columbus had arrived. For many of us this is a hard concept to grasp, after all it does

Why Are We Safe In Schools Essay
3. How to Make Schools Safe
To begin with, the first thing I will do to make schools safer is to install key card locks and metal
detectors in every entrance. The reason why I want key card locks is because only faculty and students
would have special key cards that would let them into the building and people without the key cards
could not enter the building. This prevents any unauthorized personal to enter the building and
endanger the faculty and students. The reason why schools need metal sectors is to make sure faculty
or students are not carrying a dangerous weapon with them. Also, the schools should bring in a Police
Officer so the kids can be educated by a person who knows about safety and protection. This will give
students a better knowledge of gun safely. Another, idea is to have a gun drive in the local community.
The reason why we should have a gun drive so people could trade in their guns for money. The reason
why this is important is because young kids are curious and adventures. They can find anything in the
house even if the parent puts stuff in a safe place. I guarantee kids will find items even though parents
thought the area was a safe place. Kids will find items like guns because they think it looks cool and
will bring them to school to show their friends. Then a kid will be injured or killed because they were
playing with the weapon during recess or gym. Therefore, a gun drive would eliminate guns from
homes because parents can not watch their kids

5.2 Authentic Leadership
5.2 Authentic Leadership Discussion
I believe my former manager was authentic in his effort to be a company man. He was for the
organization and concerned mostly about building morale during a time that the Cuyahoga County
was freezing pay raises and promotions. Morale was at a low point and as a result job performances
suffered. Employees began to be okay with doing the minimum or what was required and nothing
more. Our department meetings were bombarded with the be glad you got a job theme, and that got
old very quickly. My manager tried to infuse in our meetings some humor and come up with ways to
keep us engaged and interested, but in my opinion failed on all accounts to build morale. As a matter

It was the real him. After I had retired, I found out later that during the whole time he had cancer. He
died a couple of years ago, and we were in shock that he kept that from us. But, through it all as a unit,
his leadership kept us together and made us better as a team. Authentic leadership reflects a Christian
worldview when the leader follows the examples of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul. The Apostle
Paul said in 1 Cor. 15:31 (KJV), I die daily and Jesus said in Mark 8:34 (KJV), Whosoever will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. The thought expressed here is
that one has to be ready to live a sacrificial life that puts others concerns before their own concerns.
Our flesh wants to be admired and recognized. It wants to take the credit and be glorified by man. A
truly authentic leader will resist the temptation to seek the praises of man for his self sufficiency.
Biblically speaking it is God who raises up leaders, and He does so for His

The Pros And Cons Of Facebook A Virtual Community
Nowadays, people connect each other by social media. Facebook, a virtual community, is one of the
most popular social websites. Most of the other websites allow users to create an account in an
expressway by logging their Facebook account. For example, Tinder requires daters to use their
Facebook account to create profiles instantly. Connecting to Facebook, the users are ready to use
Tinder. It makes a profile of photos and information gotten by his or her Facebook account. Also,
Facebook helps players to save games. Since the players started connecting Facebook during playing
games, it automatically records the information, scores, or the process of the game that has been
playing for a long time, so the players feel comfortable to play without worrying losing all the data.
However, is it a real community? Web sites and social mobile apps are popular and necessary for
people to connect over the world, so website designers and mobile programmers get high salaries.
Thus, we cannot deny that virtual community is a real community because of three advantages:
supporting users to get what they need, providing the sense of stability, and accepting us for who we
are.
First of all, a virtual community becomes a real community by serving people s needs. Facebook or
Instagram is a business place that shop owners can advertise their stores, products, or their working
teams. Each owner needs to hire employees, yet he or she cannot afford to pay for a career post. The

certain Philip Wrigley owner of wrigleys gum and the Chicago cubs didn t think baseball would last.
Shortly after Pearl Harbor got bombed by the Japanese and most of the male players went off to serve
our country. The league owner wanted to end baseball but president Franklin Delano Roosevelt wrote
a letter called the green light letter which stated that baseball was a great cheap family recreation that
took about 2 and a half hours. This letter also stated that baseball was good for the economy giving
people jobs and fun. The final item in the letter asked the judge to extend night games so day shift
workers could watch too. Philip Wrigley and three other men Branch Rickey owner and president of
the Brooklyn dodgers, Paul V. Harper Chicago attorney, and Ken Sells the President of the league
decided that if they wanted baseball to continue the women would have to come play hard ball, but
softball was already easily available so these four men set out to find a way to convince girls to play

Colonial city and industrial life was very important to the American Colonies in the 17th and 18th

How I Was Successful Developing Work Related Relationships
Given the amount of time that I have actually been full time, I believe that I was Highly Successful in
developing work related relationships. I feel that know our entire team and the other two finance
teams. Getting involved in activities such as Habitat for Humanity and Hyperstream have only
enhanced these relationships. I also feel that with most of the team I am to a point of if my work is not
up to par, any teammate is comfortableness with calling me out on it, and telling me how I should
improve. One area I know I can improve is working with our business partners who submit SM tickets
or have issues for the person on call. I could have improved communication with them about the
progress of the issue or SM ticket.
I have done a thorough job at making sure my work supports our team goals and standards. As far as
coding standards I am picking them up very quickly and even getting to the point of suggesting
enhancements of other peoples work to align more with our department standards. On ISSM I have
made sure to document any helpful resources that make our code more consistent, and add comments
to propose change to my teammates code, or comments to justify/agree to change my own code in
code reviews. I also do my best to integrate Agile methodologies when appropriate. I feel that I have
played a large part in helping our ISSM team start down the Agile road.
As far as this goal, I was mostly in the learning phase of what are and how to complete the executables

It was once a fantasy that men would walk on the moon, so much so that until the early 50 s it was

Other than landing on the moon for the first time, the Apollo 11 astronauts were to collect lunar

The College of Corpus Christi and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Founded 1352 by The Guild of Corpus Christi and The Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Sister
College Corpus Christi College Oxford.
Men and Women Undergraduates 253 Postgraduates 220.
Corpus Christi is unique in the university for being the only college founded by town and not gown in
other words established by town s people and not the ruling class or clergy. The Guild of Corpus
Christi and the Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary pooled resources and were granted a licence by
Edward III to build what was the eighth Cambridge college, in 1352.
City mayor reminds college of its roots
The original court was modest and supported a master and two fellows. They would have studied
theology and canon law, along with their responsibilities as chaplains to the guild. The town s people,
led by the mayor, stormed the college in 1381, reminding it of its roots, protesting about the hated
candle rents , levied upon its domestic properties. This led to further peasant protests that King
Richard soon brought to a brutal conclusion.
Trumpington Street
Corpus is one of a cluster of impressive colleges and buildings facing Trumpington Street, the south
approach road into central Cambridge. On the east side is Corpus and Pembroke while on the west
side is the fabulous Neoclassical Fitzwilliam Museum along side Peterhouse and St Catherine s
College (directly opposite Corpus). Students have a three minute walk to the market

Is Ibct Is A Couples Therapy Approach That Helps Couples...
IBCT Model (1 pg. Lizbette) IBCT is a couples therapy approach that helps couples facing highly
distressed situations (Briggs, Finley Sprenlete,2015). IBCT stems from Behavioral Couples Therapy
(BCT); however, due to a lack of outcomes that demonstrated successful long term effects in couples,
IBCT was created (Jacobson Christensen, 1996). As stated by Jacobson and Christensen (1996) IBCT
consists of elements of emotional acceptance and tolerance to address issues that BCT was unable to
do. This was done to add a sense of sympathy and compassion to couples experiences and to find
solutions to help couples with their problems. According to Briggs et al. (2015) the steps in treating
couples using IBCT involve creating a treatment plan, individual and joint sessions which occur
during the first four sessions of the therapeutic process. During the assessment session couples are
asked to remember and talk about what made them fall in love and how they met in order to find and
highlight strengths the couple holds (Mairal, 2015). After the assessment and initial phase is
conducted, then treatment can begin which consist of building intimacy, helping couples move from
their stuck phase and influencing change (Briggs et al., 2015). There are several interventions used in
IBCT. One of the most important interventions is emotional acceptance. Emotional acceptance
involves empathetic joining around the problem, increase tolerance of an aversive problem and
increase self care

A Brief Look at Mikhail Prokhorov
Mikhail Prokhorov Mikhail Prokhorov is a fascinating man. He is a billionaire through his businesses
in banking and mining, an owner of an NBA team, a bachelor who has seen a number of romances,
and has ran for president of Russia with intentions to run again. In each of his ventures, Prokhorov has
very high standards for himself. Upon purchasing the New Jersey Nets, whom he later moved to
Brooklyn, he declared that if they had not won a championship in five years, he would get married.
The marriage part was a joke, but his statement still shows his high ambitions for a weak team. If
Prokhorov is able to get elected in politics, it may mark the end of his various business ventures. He
stated that he would sell all his assets and focus singularly on politics if elected as president of Russia.
Only time will tell if he retracts that statement as he did with his marriage statement.
Prokhorov attended the Moscow Finance Institute for his university education, which provided him a
good base of information into the workings of finance. Prokhorov s first job after graduating from
college was at the International Bank for Economic Cooperation. This organization was Prokhorov s
first time working with a government organization, and may have influenced his decision to involve
himself in politics later in life. Prokhorov was president of the Russian biathlon team until very
recently. He always has very high expectations in his endeavors. While he was at Sochi for the
Olympics, he

Alexander The Great Legacy
Alexander the Great is the most famous conqueror in the history of the world. His legacy and conquest
has shaped the world we know today. Many leaders after him have looked to him as an example of
what a good leader should be. Alexander the Great s tomb was one of the biggest tourist attractions of
the ancient world. Roman emperors, including Pompey, Julius Caesar, and Caligula traveled to
Alexandria to pay their respects. It all started at the age of 18 when Alexander took charge of the
Companion Cavalry and helped his father in defeating the Athenian and Theban armies. Starting from
such a young age Alexander has been already shaping the empire he would create. At the age of
twenty he became king, then by the age of twenty six he conquered the Persian Empire and at age
thirty explored the Indian frontier. He was an unstoppable force conquering the world. Alexander the
Great is the greatest conqueror of the known world, because of the personal teachings of Aristotle of
Stagira, his innovated military genius and multicultural integration methods. Aristotle is one of the
greatest intellectual figures of Western history. Still today we are using his works in philosophy and
the sciences. This allowed Alexander to take in vast amounts of knowledge. Aristotle saw the love for
learning Alexander had and helped him further his studies. Growing up Alexander was interested in
the secrets of medicine. King Philip wanted to give his son the best education he could. He asks

Gene Technology Is The Basic Physical And Functional Unit...
Introduction: A gene is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity and can be used in gene
technology processes. Gene technology refers the range of activities concerned with understanding
gene expression, taking advantage of natural genetic variation, modifying genes and transferring genes
to new hosts. A specific example of gene technology is Gene Therapy. This term refers to the process
of introducing DNA into a patient to treat a genetic disease. The new DNA contains a functioning
gene to correct the effects of a disease causing mutation (YG, 2016). There are several techniques for
carrying out gene therapy, these include, gene augmentation, gene inhibition and the killing off of
specific cells.
Augmentation: Gene augmentation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The process aims to introduce a gene whose product either inhibits or interferes with the expression of
another gene. This therapy facilitates the elimination of the growth of disease related cells (YG, 2016).
Killing of specific cells suicide : This process is suitable for diseases which can be treated by
destroying certain groups of cells. The aim is to insert DNA into a diseased cell which causes the cell
to die. This can be achieved by inserting DNA containing a suicide gene that produces a highly toxic
product to kill the diseased cell or by inserting DNA which causes the expression of a protein which
marks the cells so that the diseased cells are attacked by the body s immune system. This method must
be targeted appropriately to avoid the death of normal functioning cells and would be appropriate to
use on a disease such as cancer (YG, 2016).
Currently, possible candidates for gene therapy include cancer, AIDS, cystic fibrosis, Parkinson s and
Alzheimer s diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cardiovascular disease and arthritis (AMA, 2016).
This article aims to examine how gene therapy can be used on patients with cystic fibrosis as well as
evaluate the various ethical concerns that surround it.
Cystic fibrosis: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a hereditary disease caused by mutations of the CFTR gene.
The mutations cause cell proteins that channel chloride ions and water out of

The Pledge Should Be Allowed In The United States
The argument of being made to stand and say the pledge has become a hot topic. People believe that
the portion of Under God is unconstitutional and should be taken out. However there are also people
who believe that everyone should say the pledge to their country. There is deep and rich history on the
pledge itself. The pledge should still be said in public schools to keep a sense of patriotism in the
country. First off the history of the pledge started about 120 years ago. The pledge was invented for
the 400 year anniversary of Columbus discovering America. According to Freedom of Religion
Foundation, Seeking ideas to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America on
Columbus Day, 1892, President Benjamin Harrison had initiated a call for the development of a
special patriotic school program to highlight the event. Bellamy and Upham were able to line up the
National Education Association to support Youth s Companion as a sponsor of the observance, and
arranged for President Harrison and Congress to announce a national proclamation which centered

main reason that the pledge of allegiance is said in schools is to instill a sense of patriotism amongst

A Report On The Automotive Industry Essay
1. INTRODUCTION
The automotive industry in India is one of the largest automotive markets in the world, previously one
of the fastest growing markets globally. It started out as a small venture in the 1940s but witnessed a
rapid growth with the entry of some big manufacturers like Mahindra Mahindra and Maruti in mid and
late 1900s. In 2000, this industry became an important sector of the Indian economy and a major
foreign exchange earner for the country.
The Shiv group was one of the largest industrial groups in India at this time established in the early
1900s. With the ownership of 20 companies and a turnover of US $1 billion, they were market leaders
in the sectors like tea, auto parts, electronics, finance, pharmaceuticals etc. In 2000, Shiv industry was
going through a rough phase experiencing a continuous loss. The key reasons were its inability to cope
up with the changing needs and competitive scenario due to internationalization of this market. The
challenges of quality based competition in high tech product market and price based competition in
low tech product market became a big concern for Shiv s management.

What Is The Theme Of A Retrieved Reformation By O Henry
The intriguing short story, A Retrieved Reformation written by O. Henry speaks the story of a man
who is trying to turn his life around. Starting in prison by the name of Jimmy Valentine, he creates a
vile reputation for himself as a villainous criminal. This reputation follows him all through his life but,
when he sees a glimpse of being able to have a perfect life he snatches it up. After meeting the alluring
Ms.Annabel, Jimmy changes his name to Ralph Spencer and commences a different life, but showing
his true background could mess everything up. One theme this story suggests is that love can alter a
person s life. The belief in someone that they can accomplish something great is an act of love. One
example of this is when Ralph gets released from prison. The warden bestows upon Ralph helpful
advice for his life. You ll go out in the morning. Brace up, and make a man of yourself. You re not a
bad fellow at heart. Stop cracking safes and live straight. This is significant because it reveals that
even the people who had known Ralph as a criminal still believe that he is capable of changing his life
for the better. Also, knowing that people believe in him can make it easier for him to leave his life of
crime behind. Not only is support from others motivation for change, but having an epiphany brings in
a whole new light. Ralph decides to write Ben, an old friend of Ralph s who had only known him as a
criminal, to tell him about how wonderful his new life had

Comparing Song Of Songs And Sappho s Love Poems
Both the Song of Songs and Sappho s love poems stem from the core concept of the overall intimacy
and indescribable nature of love. Both reach to describe love by comparing to the beauty of nature and
the underlying feelings presented by nature; however, the two differ in their specific context of love.
The Song of Songs covers what would be today called the honeymoon phase where the love is sweet,
perfect and what the world envisions, whereas Sappho takes the melancholic side of love, focused on
entrapment, and overall heartbreak. These differences create completely different stories of love, one
of life long happiness, and one of chasing love. The Song of Songs develops a theme of love with its
use of naturalistic comparisons. Throughout the song, both the bride and bridegroom ... Show more

Allusions to the environment are also present in Sappho s love poems, in fact, using many of the same
comparisons used in the Song of Songs, seemingly for the same purpose; to paint a picture of love.
Under the surface though, Sappho is painting a beautiful picture of love to win over the help of
Aphrodite to help satisfy her need for a fulfilling love, as is a common theme in her poems. Present in
both Song of Songs and Sappho s love poems, is the comparison of the rushing feeling of love to a
stream of water, a protective, but fruitful apple tree, all placed within a pleasant garden. The stream in
the Song of Songs is a spring shut up (132), representing a love that wishes to flow/be consummated,
but ultimately cannot because of societal limitations, whereas

Summary Of Pollastek E. Al s Study
Summary: The central focus of Pollastek et al s (2012) study was to determine why elderly drivers are
more likely to be involved in vehicular accidents at intersections than younger experienced drivers. As
a means of data collection Pollastek et al (2012) tested the scanning ability of elderly drivers at
intersections through a series of different scenarios. Each scenario took place in a simulated
environment, testing the scanning ability of elderly drivers where they were instructed to go through
1) a four way intersection, 2) turn right at a T intersection and 3) proceed through an intersection.
Pollastek et al (2012) found that elderly drivers fail to properly scan for potential hazards while
proceeding through intersections. Pollastek et al (2012) also found that by providing video feedback
the participants in the training group performed similarly to younger experienced drivers.
Reactions:
The strengths of Pollastek et al s (2012) study lie in the methods used for data collection. By utilizing
a driving simulator to imitate potentially hazardous driving conditions, Pollastek et al (2012) ensured
that the experiment was safely conducted. The driving simulator also allowed Pollastek et al (2012) to

Narrative Essay About My Adventure
This past summer, I invited Kate to stay at my cottage. Every night after a late dinner we went out to
the point of the island and watched the boats go by while shouting at them. One night my mom called
to us, Guys, it s getting dark outside come back in . So we started running back and climbing up the
rocks when something ran right past our feet. What was that? Kate asked me. I really had no idea what
it was so I told her exactly that. The unknown creature turned out to be a vole, which we later named
Vole demort. The next day we looked for Vole demort, but we couldn t find him. That was when we
realised that he was nocturnal and probably only came out at night. So we devised a plan. We would
bring our shoes into my room, wait until everyone is asleep, then use the exit in my room to escape to
our adventure. We thought our plan was foolproof, but I forgot one small detail, my parents go to sleep
really late, and as for my brother, well he stays up all night watching youtube. The worst part about
this was that my room was right next to my brothers, so we shared a deck: meaning Kate and I had to
pass by his room to get to where we wanted. Eventually, I realised that my brother s curtains were
probably closed and even if they weren t, he was way too into his screen to notice us passing by. So at
about 3:30 in the morning, after Kate and I had both voiced our thoughts saying things along the lines
of, When should we go? Or Should we just go now? We decided to go. We geared up; we put on our
shoes, we pulled our sweaters over our heads, and got the most important things, our phones. As we
exited the cottage into the cool night we turned on the flashlights on our phones. First, we stayed just a
little bit outside my room, laid down and looked up at the stars, and Kate whispered, Wow, this is
actually so cool Yeah. It is I responded in an equally low tone. We whispered back and forth for a bit,
then I said, Let s go to the other side so we can see more of the sky without the cottage blocking it But
isn t your parents room on that side Yeah, it is, but we ll still have the living room between us. And
also we can go under the cottage so that we don t have to walk all the way around and flash

Organizations for People Fifty and Over Today
I believe that AARP is one of the leading organizations for people fifty and over today and known
worldwide. The initial process that brought this powerful group forward was the idea of Dr.Ethyl
Percy. Dr. Percy is an important figure for retired teachers in the 1940 s (International Directory of
Company Histories, 2009). Dr. Percy, is reflected as being the main female in history that led a high
school platform as principle (International Directory of Company Histories, 2009). As retirement
came forward, Dr. Percy had an interest in the well being of colleagues that retired as she, and had
little means to live on. With this in mind, Dr.Percy initialized the National Retired Teachers
Association beginning in 1947(International Directory of Company Histories, 2009). This tremendous
woman added a living structure for the retired teachers and provided a nursing home, which she alone
began. Dr. Percy joined forces with a gentleman named Leonard Davis, in the event that health
insurance was in need to help pay for the facility. The Continental Casualty Company, which Mr.
Davis was associated with, began enrolling these retired teachers in need and opened up the first
policy for them in 1956(International Directory of Company Histories, 2009). The proceeds were
great as policies distributed through the mail, and monetary proceeds began to add up very quickly.

witness, as in the movie. The play is accurate: he was accused of witchcraft, and refused to enter a
plea, which held up the proceedings, since the law of the time required that the accused enter a plea.
He was pressed to death with stones, but the method was used to try to force him to enter a plea so that
his trial could proceed. Corey probably realized that if he was tried at all, he would be executed.
(Burns 4) Certain key people in the real events appear nowhere in Miller s play: John Indian, Rev.
Nicholas Noyes, Sarah Cloyce, and most notably, Cotton Mather. The changes in the characters that
Miller did are a lot and he changed this play to make it the way he wanted to see it. Salem was a
religious town, which in 1652 was established. Salem

Lyndon B. Johnson s Immediate Advocacy of the Tonkin Gulf...
Lyndon B. Johnson s Immediate Advocacy of the Tonkin Gulf Resolution President Lyndon B.
Johnson s immediate advocacy of the Tonkin Gulf Resolution, acting as head of state, influenced
Congress to unintentionally give him a blank check in conducting the Vietnam War. Johnson s
accusation of unjustified attacks on American ships by the North Vietnamese in the Gulf of Tonkin led
to the resolution s nearly unanimous passage in Congress three days later. Although with the passage
of time the certainty of these attacks has come into question, President Johnson through his
presidential powers was able to get the Tonkin Gulf Resolution passed, which gave him near free reign
in conducting the Vietnam War. The events leading up to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

North Vietnamese defense forces were expected to be quite active because covert operations were
being carried out by boats out of Danang, South Vietnam under Operations Plan 34A (OPLAN 34A).
These OPLA 34A raiders attacked the North Vietnamese islands of Hon Me and Hon Ngu during the
first hours of July 31. The Maddox was aware of these covert operations, but did not plan its route
based on them. During the afternoon of August 2, three North Vietnamese torpedo boats from the
island of Hon Me attacked the Maddox when it was not far by, and this was the first attack. The
Maddox left the Gulf of Tonkin afterwards, but returned on August 3, with the USS Turner Joy, as
they were heading away from the North Vietnamese coastline they believed they were being attacked,
and opened fire. Most of the presumed attacking vessels appeared on the radar screen of the Turner
Joy, but not on the radar of the Maddox. Some men aboard the destroyers believed that what had
appeared on the radar were ghost images, while others believe that they were actual torpedo boats
attacking them. This incident is referred to as the second attack, and the following afternoon
retaliatory air strikes approved by President Johnson were carried out. (2) The Johnson administration
s presentation of what occurred in the Gulf of Tonkin on August 2 and 4 must be taken in context with
their eagerness for a resolution. Their account of the events stated that on August 2, the Maddox while

Women and Their Role in The Things They Carried by Tim...
The Things They Carried
Women and their Role in The Things They Carried Within the book The Thing s They Carried, the
stories of the male soldiers and their dealings with the Vietnam War. However he also delves into the
stories of the women and how they affected the soldiers and their experiences in Vietnam. While the
men dealt with the horrors of war, the women were right at their side, just not in as much of a public
view as the male soldiers. O Brien uses women such as Martha, Linda and Kathleen in The Things
They Carried to punctuate how vital rememorance and recompense was to him and other soldiers in
Vietnam.
One of the first women introduced to the reader is Martha. Martha is Lt. Jimmy Cross s love interest,

Her purpose in this books to show his reason to write these stories. She shows that he wishes to make
the dead immortal within the pages of The Things They Carried. Throughout the story, O Brien s
belief that storytelling helps heals the wounds caused by the pain and confusion of coping with
unexpected death. After Linda dies, O Brien uses his subconscious and imagination to bring her back
to life as he doesn t want to forget her. He supports this point when he says And as a writer now, I
want to save Linda s life. Not her body her life. (O Brien 236) This again shows how the dead can still
be alive through literature. He wants to show how she will continue to live on inside of his writings.
His experience with Linda s death also explains how he was able to deal with the constant death in
Vietnam. Similar to Linda, O Brien is able to bring Norman Bowker and Kiowa back to the land of the
living using the stories. As O Brien says himself We kept the dead alive with stories ( O Brien 239) He
is showing that their lives and the way they spend them are much more important than them dying,
and he will make sure this stays true by keeping writing about them and making sure no one forgets
their story.. Ultimately O Brien s storytelling is a way that he able to keep his psychology in check. He
is able to cope with everything that happens because he believes he is making up for it with this.

Douglas Rushkoff Time Ain T Money Analysis
Throughout the manifesto, Time Ain t Money , by Douglas Rushkoff, deliberately creates a persona
that is straightforward to address the views of CEO s, and how they run their companies. Rushkoff
designed this essay with specific sections intentional written in a certain order to communicate his
message clearly. Throughout these ideas Rushkoff creates a key term to further express his idea. In the
essay, Rushkoff uses a word, presentism , which he made up to describe the process of how, society is
focused on the now over the past, and even the future (Rushkoff 114). In the essay, Time Ain t Money
, Rushkoff uses examples to show presentisms authority on culture change. Rushkoff uses examples of

Stocks and trades also come into play with the idea of presentism, in how the investors in society are
focused on the quick and fast trades versus investments and waiting for a profit. They whined when a
purchase of Facebook share in the first few minutes if the company s IPO didn t return a profit over
the next hour (Rushkoff 115). Rushkoff has noticed how our society has become increasingly
impatient which is a drastic change from 10 or 20 years ago. Customers want their packages as soon
as possible, it s no longer acceptable to wait it has to be done now. Again Rushkoff talks about time in
our culture, Rushkoff claims, Without time, without any history, how do you tell a story with a
beginning, a middle, and an end? (Rushkoff 115). Without time stories don t exist, there is no past or
future, just right now. In today s culture presentism dictates how we do anything, we can personalized
everything. You can get a specific thing without having to buy other things to get what you want. We
can buy a single song without buying the whole album. We are no longer hindered with having to buy
everything in order to get the one

Hysterectomy: During this type of surgery for treating cervical cancer, the uterus and cervix is
removed.
2. Radical hysterectomy: Usually, this type of surgery is recommended for a very small percentage of
women with early cervical cancer. This procedure involves the removal of the uterus and cervix as
well as the surrounding tissue and the upper part of the vagina. During this procedure, the lymph
nodes in the pelvis are removed. If this surgery is performed on older women then the ovaries are
removed and if it is performed on the younger women, then the ovaries are left behind so as to
preserve the ovarian function.
3. Pelvic extenteration: This type of surgery is an option for women with recurrent or advanced
cervical cancer. During this surgery, the cervix, uterus, vagina, bladder, ovaries, rectum and nearby
lymph nodes are removed. The tissues from elsewhere from the body is used for reconstructing the
vagina. The urine and stool is made to pass into the external bags.
Cervical Cancer survival rates:
The five year survival rate is the percentage of women who survive at least for five years after
detection of cancer. The cervical cancer survival rates for all stages are about 68%. If the cervical

  • 2. Tulipmania Research Paper Maddy williams Language arts Research paper Tulipmania What was Tulipmania? Tulipmania was the craze trade of tulip bulbs in Holland. The selling and trading of tulips went on until 1637 when it took a sudden downhill. (Goldgar) Back then they would sell tulip bulbs for more than the price of their house. This is a perfect example of the many risks you take that can lead to a financial crash ( A story of tulips and bitcoin : When tulips cost as much ... ). The main place for trading tulips was the Menniste Bryloft, owned by Jan Theunisz at the time. The Mennist Bryloft was a tavern in Amsterdam, Holland. Lots of visitors and tourists would come to this tavern just to see the different artwork, water features, and to trade tulip bulbs. People with similar interests to tulip trading would also meet here. The people that would meet here were often apart of a drama or poetic group(Goldgar). The tulip was first found in Europe in the late 16th century(Price). There are lots of different types of tulips that they would trade. The tulips contained a virus that changed the appearance of the tulip(Beattie). There are red and yellow striped tulips and purple and white striped tulips called switsers(Goldgar). There are over 3,000 varieties of tulips( Tulip Types ). ( Admin ) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As shown in this picture prices for tulips gradually increased and dramatically decreased over a short period of time. This dramatic decrease of price came with the loss of selling tulips. Tulips sold for really high prices when everybody wanted them. • 6. A Play At The Mixed Blood Theatre By Branden Jacobs Jenkins The play I went to go to see was called An Octoroon written by Branden Jacobs Jenkins. I have never been to a play at the Mixed Blood Theatre, so I was very excited to go and see this play. This play has been mentioned a lot lately by some of my theatre professors, and they said it would be very interesting. They also mentioned to not worry about the bunny too much, but I did. I am very glad I got to see this unique play with its many interesting views. The beginning of the play was very interesting in several ways. Firstly, the choice of dialect took me surprise because of its vulgar nature. I personally enjoyed the use of speech because I find it interesting when people use words freely when they are normally looked down upon. The music that was played gave made another strong impression on me. The title of the song was Bonfire by Childish Gambino, and it set a very interesting mood. It definitely took me by surprise and I did not know how to react in that situation. I just stared with my mouth open and tried to figure out why that song was being played. Another thing that I found interesting was when the actors put makeup and different clothes on in front of us. Seeing the actors start changing into new characters right in front of me made me very intrigued about how people can break the socially constructed ideas of how theatre works. The middle of the play made me confused for a good chunk of the time. The bunny was beyond creepy and I tried to understand what its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Identity of Black Women in the Post Bellum Period 1865 1885 Throughout history, the black woman has always had a multitude of responsibilities thrust upon her shoulders. This was never truer than for southern black women in the period between 1865 and 1885. In this span of twenty years, these women were responsible for their children, their husbands, supporting their families, their fight for freedom as black citizens and as women, their sexual freedom, and various other issues that impacted their lives. These women learned quickly, however, that they would not be equals just because they were now free. The job opportunities available to black women, like many other aspects of their lives, would be of much less quality than the jobs offered to the rest of the population. They would be low paying, involve extended hours, and would put them in constant danger; black women would have to negotiate the literal rough terrain of Atlanta and the social consequences it imposed on their everyday lives as they struggled to earn a living for their families and searched for peace of mind. They would have to persevere in their quest to work and support their household. After the Civil War, all black citizens of the Unites States were allegedly free. The thirteenth amendment banning slavery had been passed and the reconstruction of the South was moving along swiftly. This promised freedom, however, was far from what was expected. There were many laws and forces at work to keep blacks in some type of involuntary servitude. As geographic borders merged through trade, travel, communication, and technology, information and ideas for fashion were transmitted. Though international trade of fibers and textiles has influenced cultures throughout history, increasing technology has resulted in diffusion of trends to the four corners of the globe. The Industrial Revolution improved the quality of life in the lower class, causing fashion to become more democratic. Technology allows items and people to travel worldwide faster than ever, and images and information can be communicated instantaneously. However, to adapt to the fierce competitiveness of the global market, the fashion industry has relocated production to developing countries with poor working conditions; for democratization of fashion to be complete these inequities must change (Gestal, 2015). Clogs are descendants of the galoce a high wooden shoe worn by peasant women from the Ardennes Region to protect their shoes from muddy dirt streets (Ryan, 2010). It was a replacement hand for a general who lost a hand in war. The hand was constructed from copper and steel. By the late 1500 century, a French Army barber/surgeon Ambroise Paré was to be considered the father of prosthesis surgery. He was one of the best when it came to saving enough limb to allow for a prosthetic limb. By this time the advancement in these fake limbs had grown from crude made hands to fully functioning legs. As the U. S. Civil War dragged on, the number of amputations rose astronomically, forcing Americans to enter the field of prosthetics. james Hanger, one of the first amputees of the Civil War, developed what he later patented as the Hanger Limb from whittled barrel staves. The reason why I want key card locks is because only faculty and students would have special key cards that would let them into the building and people without the key cards could not enter the building. This prevents any unauthorized personal to enter the building and endanger the faculty and students. The reason why schools need metal sectors is to make sure faculty or students are not carrying a dangerous weapon with them. Also, the schools should bring in a Police Officer so the kids can be educated by a person who knows about safety and protection. This will give students a better knowledge of gun safely. Another, idea is to have a gun drive in the local community. The reason why we should have a gun drive so people could trade in their guns for money. The reason why this is important is because young kids are curious and adventures. They can find anything in the house even if the parent puts stuff in a safe place. I guarantee kids will find items even though parents thought the area was a safe place. Kids will find items like guns because they think it looks cool and will bring them to school to show their friends. Then a kid will be injured or killed because they were playing with the weapon during recess or gym. Therefore, a gun drive would eliminate guns from homes because parents can not watch their kids ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Apostle Paul said in 1 Cor. 15:31 (KJV), I die daily and Jesus said in Mark 8:34 (KJV), Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. The thought expressed here is that one has to be ready to live a sacrificial life that puts others concerns before their own concerns. Our flesh wants to be admired and recognized. • 23. Is Ibct Is A Couples Therapy Approach That Helps Couples... IBCT Model (1 pg. Lizbette) IBCT is a couples therapy approach that helps couples facing highly distressed situations (Briggs, Finley Sprenlete,2015). IBCT stems from Behavioral Couples Therapy (BCT); however, due to a lack of outcomes that demonstrated successful long term effects in couples, IBCT was created (Jacobson Christensen, 1996). As stated by Jacobson and Christensen (1996) IBCT consists of elements of emotional acceptance and tolerance to address issues that BCT was unable to do. This was done to add a sense of sympathy and compassion to couples experiences and to find solutions to help couples with their problems. According to Briggs et al. (2015) the steps in treating couples using IBCT involve creating a treatment plan, individual and joint sessions which occur during the first four sessions of the therapeutic process. During the assessment session couples are asked to remember and talk about what made them fall in love and how they met in order to find and highlight strengths the couple holds (Mairal, 2015). After the assessment and initial phase is conducted, then treatment can begin which consist of building intimacy, helping couples move from their stuck phase and influencing change (Briggs et al., 2015). In each of his ventures, Prokhorov has very high standards for himself. Upon purchasing the New Jersey Nets, whom he later moved to Brooklyn, he declared that if they had not won a championship in five years, he would get married. The marriage part was a joke, but his statement still shows his high ambitions for a weak team. If Prokhorov is able to get elected in politics, it may mark the end of his various business ventures. • 25. Alexander The Great Legacy Alexander the Great is the most famous conqueror in the history of the world. His legacy and conquest has shaped the world we know today. Many leaders after him have looked to him as an example of what a good leader should be. Alexander the Great s tomb was one of the biggest tourist attractions of the ancient world. Roman emperors, including Pompey, Julius Caesar, and Caligula traveled to Alexandria to pay their respects. It all started at the age of 18 when Alexander took charge of the Companion Cavalry and helped his father in defeating the Athenian and Theban armies. Starting from such a young age Alexander has been already shaping the empire he would create. At the age of twenty he became king, then by the age of twenty six he conquered the Persian Empire and at age thirty explored the Indian frontier. He was an unstoppable force conquering the world. Alexander the Great is the greatest conqueror of the known world, because of the personal teachings of Aristotle of Stagira, his innovated military genius and multicultural integration methods. Aristotle is one of the greatest intellectual figures of Western history. Still today we are using his works in philosophy and the sciences. This allowed Alexander to take in vast amounts of knowledge. Aristotle saw the love for learning Alexander had and helped him further his studies. This therapy facilitates the elimination of the growth of disease related cells (YG, 2016). Killing of specific cells suicide : This process is suitable for diseases which can be treated by destroying certain groups of cells. The aim is to insert DNA into a diseased cell which causes the cell to die. This can be achieved by inserting DNA containing a suicide gene that produces a highly toxic product to kill the diseased cell or by inserting DNA which causes the expression of a protein which marks the cells so that the diseased cells are attacked by the body s immune system. This method must be targeted appropriately to avoid the death of normal functioning cells and would be appropriate to use on a disease such as cancer (YG, 2016). Currently, possible candidates for gene therapy include cancer, AIDS, cystic fibrosis, Parkinson s and Alzheimer s diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cardiovascular disease and arthritis (AMA, 2016). This article aims to examine how gene therapy can be used on patients with cystic fibrosis as well as evaluate the various ethical concerns that surround it. Henry speaks the story of a man who is trying to turn his life around. Starting in prison by the name of Jimmy Valentine, he creates a vile reputation for himself as a villainous criminal. This reputation follows him all through his life but, when he sees a glimpse of being able to have a perfect life he snatches it up. After meeting the alluring Ms.Annabel, Jimmy changes his name to Ralph Spencer and commences a different life, but showing his true background could mess everything up. One theme this story suggests is that love can alter a person s life. The belief in someone that they can accomplish something great is an act of love. One example of this is when Ralph gets released from prison. The warden bestows upon Ralph helpful advice for his life. You ll go out in the morning. Brace up, and make a man of yourself. You re not a bad fellow at heart. Stop cracking safes and live straight. This is significant because it reveals that even the people who had known Ralph as a criminal still believe that he is capable of changing his life for the better. Also, knowing that people believe in him can make it easier for him to leave his life of crime behind. Al s Study Summary: The central focus of Pollastek et al s (2012) study was to determine why elderly drivers are more likely to be involved in vehicular accidents at intersections than younger experienced drivers. As a means of data collection Pollastek et al (2012) tested the scanning ability of elderly drivers at intersections through a series of different scenarios. Each scenario took place in a simulated environment, testing the scanning ability of elderly drivers where they were instructed to go through 1) a four way intersection, 2) turn right at a T intersection and 3) proceed through an intersection. Pollastek et al (2012) found that elderly drivers fail to properly scan for potential hazards while proceeding through intersections. • 36. Narrative Essay About My Adventure This past summer, I invited Kate to stay at my cottage. Every night after a late dinner we went out to the point of the island and watched the boats go by while shouting at them. One night my mom called to us, Guys, it s getting dark outside come back in . So we started running back and climbing up the rocks when something ran right past our feet. What was that? Kate asked me. I really had no idea what it was so I told her exactly that. The unknown creature turned out to be a vole, which we later named Vole demort. The next day we looked for Vole demort, but we couldn t find him. That was when we realised that he was nocturnal and probably only came out at night. So we devised a plan. We would bring our shoes into my room, wait until everyone is asleep, then use the exit in my room to escape to our adventure. We thought our plan was foolproof, but I forgot one small detail, my parents go to sleep really late, and as for my brother, well he stays up all night watching youtube. The worst part about this was that my room was right next to my brothers, so we shared a deck: meaning Kate and I had to pass by his room to get to where we wanted. Eventually, I realised that my brother s curtains were probably closed and even if they weren t, he was way too into his screen to notice us passing by. So at about 3:30 in the morning, after Kate and I had both voiced our thoughts saying things along the lines of, When should we go? Or Should we just go now? We decided to go. We geared up; we put on our shoes, we pulled our sweaters over our heads, and got the most important things, our phones. As we exited the cottage into the cool night we turned on the flashlights on our phones. First, we stayed just a little bit outside my room, laid down and looked up at the stars, and Kate whispered, Wow, this is actually so cool Yeah. It is I responded in an equally low tone. We whispered back and forth for a bit, then I said, Let s go to the other side so we can see more of the sky without the cottage blocking it But isn t your parents room on that side Yeah, it is, but we ll still have the living room between us.
