Night adheres to Frye s theory to some extent. The old world, one of repression, is conveyed

Han Yu, the Confucian scholar also said that Buddha deludes China and people will self mutilate
because of this religion. This supports the thesis because China has a very high ego and is often
seen as self sufficient so when something foreign invades, they believe it is unnecessary and

Goldfish Observation
During our fourth lesson on caring for goldfish, we were able to achieve the intended lesson
objectives based on student responses, behaviors, anecdotal notes, journal entries, and teacher
observations. I wrote and taught this lesson, while Ms. Meaghan was in charge of running one
observation station. She also took anecdotal notes about student responses and quotes during the
opening and closing of the lesson. This lesson was about caring for goldfish, and therefore,
required the use of goldfish to conduct the lesson effectively. Since the classroom teaching
informed me that the goldfish died, I bought six more and two aquariums for the purpose of this

In order to determine if the entire class was able to reach the objective, Ms. Meaghan and I took
anecdotal notes during our observation groups about student s observations and quotes about
each basic need. In each group, each student was assigned a job, which was described on each
card. Their jobs related to providing the goldfish with their basic needs for survival. Three
students in each group were feeders, four students were planters, and four were water changers
(two added water and two replaced). The feeders each received a piece of scrap paper with some
food on it, and each student took turns feeding the fish. The planters each put a sprig of elodea
in the tank to create shelter. The two water removers, each took a small Dixie cup of dirty water
out of the tank, and the two water adders, put one small Dixie cup of conditioned water into the
tank. Through their work in their small group, the students were able to develop an understanding
of each need of goldfish, and understand how to provide it. They were able to have a chance to
