My father, who started watching the show partly because my brother and I love the show and it
was on television right after dinner time when everyone got together and watched television,

unsure of whether or not there are similarities or differences in homosexual representations from

attempt to impose meaning systematically. The author would have us believe that time is

that human life lacks meaning and purpose and that humans live in an indifferent universe is often

Field Notes: Observation 1 On January 29, a Friday, I observed as five student workers ate their
lunch around the UCI Athletics compound area. It was exactly 12:15 PM, when the student
workers marched into the area and grabbed their lunches. These are my co workers, so I did not
have to do much to blend in. However, I did want to act natural, so I drank from a bottle of water
and sat in a chair in the corner of the compound. They were all eating at the same time, because
they only had a short time until they had to get back to work. The first person I observed pulled
his lunch out of an orange sack, in which he carried all of his items to work. He had a variety of

I could tell that he had made his lunch himself. This person was wearing all black, and like many
of the other students, he was carrying his lunch in his backpack. He kept most of his lunch in his
backpack, and only took out what he was about to eat. The first item he took out to eat, was a home
made sandwich. Upon my observation, it was hard to actually tell everything that was in his
sandwich. From what I could actually view, he had turkey, cheese, tomato, and a jalapeno in his
sandwich. The jalapeno was especially surprising, and his lunch struck me as unique. In
addition to this sandwich, he had fruit snacks and a bottle of water. Moving to another
individual, this person sat quietly on a bucket, while eating a small bag of pumpkin seeds. This
does not really qualify as lunch, but it is a snack. Of all the students eating in the compound
area, his lunch was the smallest. Finally, the last person I observed in the area, was a student
eating another sandwich. All he was eating was a sandwich, and had no water or any other
snacks. In his sandwich, all that appeared to be in it was turkey and cheese. It was a simple
sandwich, but the student did manage to toast the bread. This student was near me, so when the
others left and were walking out of the compound, I asked him if I could interview him after work.

Mexicans And Mexican American Youth
Throughout our history as a nation, we have earned a reputation of undermining the relationships
we have had with minorities and of largely neglecting their needs. Our almost hostile nature towards
minorities in the United States can largely be seen in the treatment of Mexicans and Mexican
American citizens in the times surrounding World War Two. Such hostilities are reflected in our
treatment of Mexican Americans in the late 19th after the Civil War and early 20th centuries, the
Sleepy Lagoon murder responses, and the Zoot Suitriots. My primary source reveals a feeling of
inferiority in the United Statesby the Mexican Americanyouth due discrimination that they faced,
which can be better understood by analyzing the cultural contexts. As railroads expanded during the
United States western expansionist period in the late 19th century, Mexican immigration along with
Eastern migration grew in the west. Once the Mexican immigrants arrived, they largely occupied
commercial agriculture in large farms, mining industries, and the construction of railroads, but were
generally paid very little. During this time, as Arizona State History Professor Manuel P. ServГn
explained, the Mexican Americans that had been here for years had already begun to feel
despised by the Western Expansionists, and were looked at as less American and an unassimilable
