Blend is a digital learning platform that is faciliatted by the effective combination of different modes of delivery, models of teaching and styles of learning. It has aimed to combine particular forms of teaching with technology in order to provide a one-top solution to the haphazard lives of students. The basic idea is to cater the class room problems faced by both, students and intructors.
The major objectives behind adoption of Blend is to boost students’ involvement with the subject by engaging students in discussion forums and hence make the subject as interactive and dynamic as possible, which would further help students to envelop their communication skills.

Our digital ecologies are changing because the way we are wanting to teach is changing. We are seeing a much greater emphasis being placed on active, authentic and collaborative modes of teaching. Therefore we have had to find new tools to help us with these new tasks. But the reasons to engage with these new tools needs to be based on sound pedagogical foundations.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Cultivating Creativity and Innovation
Target Group:
STEMx Educators of grades 6-8
Duration of Course:
9-12 hours
Technology used: Coursesites
11. 11
Course Description
The Cultivating Creativity and Innovation course (CCI) prepares
teachers to create a progressive learning environment in their
classrooms that offers opportunities to explore, discover,
understand, experiment and create.
Starting from focusing thoughts on what comprises a creative and
innovative classroom and how teachers can work towards creating
one, the course progresses to familiarizing them with the Creative
Problem Solving process (CPS) and its application in their
classroom.
Teachers learn to design ICT‐supported STEMx activities that
give students an opportunity to use the CPS process and complete
the course with designing an activity for use in their classrooms.
12. 12
Course Objectives
1
• Promote creativity and innovation in the classrooms
2
• Use the Creative Problem Solving process (CPS) in the
classrooms to enrich learning experiences through hands‐on and
minds‐on challenging STEMx activities
3
• Use CPS tools that support divergent and convergent thinking
4
• Facilitate divergent and convergent thinking through technology
13. 13
Rural Problems, STEMx Solutions (Hindi)
Target Group:
STEMx educators of grades
6-8
Duration of Course: 9-
12 hours
Technology used: Google Sites
14. 14
Course Description
The Rural Problems, STEMx Solutions course attempts to
building capacity within rural teachers who have the knowledge of
STEMx subjects but need direction to steer their pedagogy with a
more contemporary approach in the classroom.
It will prepare teachers to identify rural community problems that
can be resolved through analysis and application of STEMx
concepts through dialogue and constructive learning in a way that
STEMx becomes relevant in the lives of rural communities.
Overall the idea of the course design is to introduce social
innovation through interventions in classroom pedagogy using
STEMx learning as a base and pillar for widespread research and
delivery of rural solutions.
15. 15
Course Objectives
1
• Make STEMx subjects relevant to a living and learning
environment
2
• Instill use of technology to broaden understanding and engage
meaningfully with STEMx subjects
3
• Improve pedagogy for STEMx subjects such that classroom
learning has a constructivist, problem solving orientation
16. Our Challenges
Choosing an Integrated LMS- Keeping in mind that MOOCs are designed
to accommodate massive number of users, it was desired that the course
platform should support varied course activities, varied assessments, links
to external tools, discussion forums, and also track course registrations and
activity as well as have automated grading for users attempting
assessment activities
Course Design- The instructional design of an e-learning course differs
vastly from that of a face to face learning scenario. The challenge lies in
ensuring the users interact with the screen as often as they can. This is
done by making the course screens clickable, meaning that users get to
click on multimedia to watch, see content and click on options to perform
various activities and assessments.
Course Structure- Apart from Design, it is important for the course to have
a simple yet logical and smooth structure that allows users to progress
through the course without any confusion. The users should not only be
aware of what they are going to accomplish with the course but also be
informed of their progress in the course.
Less Completion Rates- About 90 percent of people who register for
MOOCs fail to complete them, most providers acknowledge. And this is a
