Obesity Persuasive Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of obesity can present a considerable challenge due to its
multifaceted nature. Firstly, one must delve into the complex causes of obesity, ranging from
genetic factors to lifestyle choices and societal influences. Understanding and presenting these
factors in a coherent manner requires extensive research and critical thinking.
The next hurdle lies in crafting a persuasive argument that not only informs the reader about the
issue but also compels them to see it from a particular perspective. This involves marshaling
evidence, statistics, and real-life examples to support the thesis, making the essay not only
informative but also convincing.
Moreover, the essay must address potential counterarguments and effectively refute them,
showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Balancing empathy and assertiveness is
crucial when discussing a sensitive issue like obesity, as it requires addressing individuals'
struggles while advocating for societal change.
Structuring the essay is another aspect that adds to the complexity. Ensuring a logical flow of
ideas, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a compelling conclusion, is vital for
making the essay engaging and impactful.
Lastly, the language used in the essay should be precise, clear, and tailored to the intended
audience. Striking the right tone is essential to maintain the persuasive element without coming
across as judgmental or preachy.
In conclusion, crafting a persuasive essay on obesity demands a thorough understanding of the
issue, effective argumentation, empathy, and skillful writing. It's a task that requires dedication,
research, and a nuanced approach to create an essay that not only informs but also influences the
reader's perspective.

Accuracy In The Synoptic Gospels
Accuracy in the Synoptic Gospels
When judging the historical reliability of the gospels many factors come into paly. In
judging the historical reliability of the Gospels the kind of the gospels is important in
understanding the intentions of the writers concerning the historical value of the text.
When ranking the following sayings of Jesus:
I ve come from above to rescue those below and call them to higher things, just as the
One who sent me to you commanded me. (Infancy Gospel of Thomas 8:2)
When you pray, you should say: Father, your name be revered. Your empire be
established. Provide us with the bread we need day by day. Forgive our sins, since
we too forgive everyone in debt to us. And don t make us face the test. (Luke 11:2 4)
For many of the first will be last[.] (Thomas 4:2)
в—ѕ [T]he empire of Heaven is like a net that is cast into the sea and catches all
kinds of fish. When the net is full, they haul it ashore. Then they sit down and collect
the good fish into baskets, but the worthless fish they throw away. (Matthew 13:47 48)

For many of the first will be last[.] (Thomas 4:2). When using the rule of thumb
from BINT to judge the sayings, it says that the Earlier sources are more likely to
be historically reliable because they have had less time in circulation to be altered
which would rule out this saying since the gospel of Thomas was written around
the same time as the gospel of mark was written (70 CE) but I rank it above the rest
because that saying can be found in Matthew 20:16 So the last will be first, and
the first will be last, Mark 10:31 But many who are first will be last, and the last
first, and in Luke 13:30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and
first who will be last. Giving it two independent documents, it is more historical
reliable than the other
Chapter 1 Short Story
The Vale? Joella asked her father at breakfast three days after their talk. Tywin had
told Joella along with Jaime and Cersei that Jon Arryn had agreed to have Joella
fostered at the Eyrie, along with two other boys. Robert Baratheon, heir to Storm s
End, and Eddard Stark, the second son of Lord Rickard Stark, Warden of the
North. Joella was looking forward to her time in the Eyrie, she knew there would be
times where she would come home on her father s words, but that would be a go
time to see Tyrion.
Joella could tell that her siblings had different feelings. Cersei was happy that there
would the whole Riverland in between them. Whereas Jaime was furious that his
little sister was being sent to the Vale for who knows how long. But... Show more

Thank you, Jaime, Joella said smiling. They pulled apart and looked at each other.
Take care, little sister, Jaime said, Joella smiled and nodded. She then walked over
to Ally, and the older women then bent down so the lioness could say goodbye to her
little brother.
Tyrion looked at everything with wonder, seeing as he had never been out of his
nursery before. He found his sister and smiled, giggling, reaching his hands out to
her. Joella smiled back and kissed his forehead.
Goodbye, Tyrion, I ll miss you, Joella said before hugging Ally and kissing his head
again. As she walked away, Tyrion began to cry, as if he knew that it would a very
long time before he saw her again. But his cries were soon stopped when he saw his
big brother. Jaime tickled Tyrion s chin and his brother began to laugh again.
The last person Joella said goodbye to was her Uncle Gerion. Gerion was standing
behind Ally, with his hands behind his back and had a wide smile. Joella ran over to
him, and when she reached him, he bent to her level.
I do believe that I might just have a gift for you, my little Ella, he said. Joella
giggled just a bit. Gerion cocked his head to the side and asked Would you like me
to give it to you? he asked her. Joella nodded vigorously, laughing at her uncle.
Gerion then showed Joella what was in his hands.
Kittens! Joella said with glee.

Providing quality education is the primary concern of Philippine educational system.
Quality education is dependent on the quality of teachers. Field study is one way of
preparing pre service teachers to be properly prepared to undertake the vital role in
uplifting the quality of education in the country. What is learned from Field Study or

Sage As A Master Of Economics
His real name was Travis Sage, but everyone called him Sage. Sage earned a
Bachelor Degree from Princeton, an MBA from the London School of Economics,
and a law degree from Harvard. As a graduate student in Europe, he wrote a brilliant
thesis that updated the guiding principles of the Austrian School of Economics with
21st century economic, social and political realities. The subsequent white papers he
authored became the economic foundation that guided The Movement s macro and
micro economic policyand regulation. With Sage in the background, Edward Birch
and the VirginiaState Legislature had coupled libertarian ideology with economic
legislation, policy and regulation that was equal parts pragmatic and practical, while
easy to explain to the bumper sticker mentality of Virginiavoters. Since Edward Birch
became governor, Sage s economic philosophy guided virtually all economic policy
decisions in the state. In the hands of Sage, the Virginia economy was running white
hot.
Sage was also one of The Movement s founding fathers. He had been a close
personal friend and business partner with Edward Birch s father. He was part of a
team that carefully groomed Edward, preparing him every step of the way for his
ascension through the spectrum of American political power. Sage s background was
shrouded in secrecy his influence strictly behind the scenes, out of the media
limelight. Under Sage s direction, The Movement operated as a parallel governing
structure. On paper, The

be familiar with the gait trainer set up before starting recording the gait parameters.
This achieved through instructing the child to walk over the gait trainer and to
follow the tread belt movement for 3 5 minutes. This might be repeated two or three
times till the child became adapted with the apparatus. To start the evaluation
process, the tread belt was ramp up slowly to 0.3 meter/hour. The speed setting then

Mass Media During the Last Century
Mass media has changed dramatically over the course of the last century. There have
been three major changes. Each of these changes has effected American culture. The
changes have taken place because of media convergence. These are the major
changes.
The first significant development in mass media was the paper stage (Campbell,
Martin, Fabos, 2016, ). During this phase, stories or messages were sent out
written, or typed on paper. That was the way that they reached the people. The
second stage of mass media was the Electronic Era. During this era, messages could
meet their match in an instant. People did not have to wait for it to be delivered
over time. The third development of mass media is the digital era. The digital era
includes images and sounds converted into an electronic signal (Campbell, Martin,
Fabos, 2016, ). Messages are being delivered faster than ever before. These are the
three significant developments in the last century.
These Eras all greatly affected American culture. During the paper Era, people lived
on farms (Campbell, Martin, Fabos, 2016, ). Once stories such as books, and
newspapers were developed, they could reach a lot of people. The written word did
not change according to who told it. It made sure that everybody got the same
information. The electronic Era also had a significant influence on culture. The
Richard Branson Leadership Style
Richard Branson is ranked as one of the wealthiest British billionaires and is known
as a business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. Richard started his first business,
Student magazine, which launched in 1968 after he dropped out of high school at
age fifteen according to Feloni (2015). Richard Branson s revolutionary leadership
has led to the extreme success of Virgin Group. The Virgin Group is an empire that
has more than four hundred companies worldwide consisting of sectors in mobile
telephones, travel and transportation, financial services, leisure and entertainment and
health and wellness. Richard Bransonhas been successful in extracting quality work
from his employees at the Virgin Group. Virgin Group has transformed the way
operations and businesses take place. Leadership has been the key to the success of
Virgin Group. Branson believes in transferring authority to subordinates. This paper
will focus on Richard Branson s leadership elements and various aspects of Virgin
Group.
Leadership Style
Richard Branson s Rule Breaker leadership style has been known to be extremely
effective which is evident from the success he has endured in his life. Each moment
of his life has contributed to his unique and efficient leadership style. Even after being
successful, he has continued to invest in small businesses that helped people grow
unremittingly. He believes in young entrepreneurs and strives to help them with
achieving their goals. There are various key
Popular Shows During The Golden Age Of Theatre
Beginning towards the end of this time period (1943), and continuing on through the
next period of American theatre, is known as the golden age of theatre. Shows during
this time period tended to be a bit showier than in other periods focusing more on
technical and design elements, while still maintaining a story. During the golden age
of theatremany of the most popular musicals were produced.
Some of the most popular shows take the form of musicals during this era.
Popular musicals include: The Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma. Although musicals may
now be the most popular part of Broadway, during its initial experiments it seems that
producers were skeptical about its commercial potential. Many of the musicals
produced are still popular to this day,
Fiscal Federalism in Nigeria
CHAPTER1
INTRODUCTION:
The question of an acceptable formula for revenue sharing among the component tiers
of the Nigerian nation is one of the most protracted and controversial debates in the
political and macroeconomic management of the economy. This debate has its
foundations in the history and evolution of the Nigerian federation.
Revenue allocation or the statutory distribution of revenue from the Federation
Account among the different levels of government has been one of the most
contentious and controversial issues in the nation s political life. So contentious has
the matter been that none of the formulae evolved at various times by a commission
or by decree under different regimes since 1964 has gained general acceptability ...

(e) Principle of Fiscal Equalization: In order to ensure a minimum level of public
goods and services same degree of fiscal equalization is required. This is as a result of
differences in resource endowment.
(f) The Efficiency Principle: This principle implies that efficiency must be applied in
the allocation of resources
(g) The Principle of Derivation: The component units of a system should be able to
control some of its own resources as they desire.
(h) The Principle of Locational Neutrality: Interregional fiscal differences tend to
influence location choices of individuals and firms. Therefore, policy should focus on
minimizing distortions due to some interference. Hence, differential taxes which
create locational distortions should be avoided as much as practicable.
(i) The Principle of Centralized Redistribution: This principle states that the
redistribution function of fiscal policy through progressive taxation and expenditure
programmes should be centralized at the federal level. That is, if the redistributive
function is decentralized, it can result in distortions in location decisions. It should be
noted that the above principles are not mutually consistent.

The Casket Of Amontillado . Edgar Allan Poe’S
“The Cask
The Casket of Amontillado Edgar Allan Poe s The Cask of Amontillado is a short
story illustrating how pride leads to the downfall of two men. At the story s heart is
the tale of Montresor, the protagonist, getting revenge on a former friend, Fortunato.
Poe s characterization of Montresor shows a sinister, proud man, obsessed not only
with his revenge but also not getting punished himself. It must be a perfect revenge,
one in which Fortunato will know fully what is happening to him and in which
Montresor will be forever undetected (Morsberger 334). Poe s portrayal of
Montresor and his revenge depends mainly on his use of three artistic tools: a first
person narrative, dramatic irony, and symbolism. A brief examination of these three...

At the carnival, when Montresor meets Fortunato and tells him about the amontillado,
he states, As you are engaged, I am on my way to Luchresi, referring to Fortunato
being inebriated. Fortunato insists that, Luchresi cannot tell Amontillado from Sherry
(Poe 361). Knowing his victim s vanity, Montresor baits him by saying that some
fools argue that Luchresi s taste is as fine as Fortunato s (Morsberger 334). The use
of the first person narrative lets Poe change how readers view the characters. By
telling the story through Montresor s point of view, readers never get the chance to
hear Fortunato s side of the story, meaning one never discovers if Fortunato truly
wronged Montresor. This prevents the reader from having sympathy for either
character. Charles May says, The reader has no way of knowing what these
thousand injuries and the mysterious insult are and thus can make no judgement
about whether Montresor s revenge is justifiable (qtd. in Baraban para. 6). Third,
and perhaps most importantly, the first person point of view lets the reader know
ahead of time about Montresor s plan for revenge, setting up the use of irony in the
story. A second tool Poe used in The Cask of Amontilladois dramatic irony. Poe used
irony multiple times in this story, largely due to using the first person narrator. A
major plot dynamic of Poe s great story is Montresor s menacing irony, and
Observation Is The Major Role Of The Teacher
Observation: Observation is the major role of the teacher. The teacher observes for
routines and procedure to be observed. The teacher observes for ground rule in the
classroom and in individual materials. The ground rules are opportunity for the child
to develop his/her will. The teacher observes for pattern of order in the behavior of
the child. The teacher observes for respect child to child, child to material, child to
adult interaction.
Control of Error: is the built in aspect of the material also sometime found as coding
on the back of the material.
For Example, in spindle box the extra or not enough spindle left is control of error.
The material like matching numeral to number rods, teacher is the control of error.
Prepare of the environment: A prepared environment is an important role of
Montessori classroom .the goal of prepared environment is to make children safe
and comfortable. A calm and orderly space enables the children to work on various
activities of their choice at a pace they are comfortable with. They also experience a
mix of freedom and self discipline in space that is designed to meet their
development needs.
A teacher observes the child working with the materials and make changes to the
environment. In mathematic materials, extensions and additional problems are
introduced to deepen child s understanding of materials. For example, variations
introduced when child is ready with basic concepts of a particular material to support
child needs.

What Great Teachers Do Differently Analysis
Initial Summary:
During the first months of school, I noticed my students spend a great deal of time
off task, specifically talking out of turn. Students do not always raise their hands to
answer questions, start a conversation with a classmate, or interrupt the lesson to say
they do not understand a topic. I often have to spend several minutes a day asking
students to stop talking, reminding students to raise their hand and wait to be called
on, and spend a great deal of time waiting for my students to quiet down and refocus. I
have difficulty redirecting these students back to the current task quickly, to avoid
losing large amounts of instructional time and often these small disruptions become
increasingly more difficult to handle as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the article PRAISE for Students with Behavioral Challenges, Beth Akerman states
there are a plethora of reinforcements a teacher can use, such as eye contact,
detentions or a contingency contract, but effective teachers employ more positive
reinforcements than negative ones. By recognizing the positives rather than the
negatives, students are motivated to receive praise; thus, a safer, more engaging
classroom atmosphere resulted. This idea resonated with other sources as well. In
The 12 Touchstones of Good Teaching, Bryan Goodwin and Elisabeth Ross Hubbell
explain that often students causing the disruption are looking for attention, good or
bad and reprimanding them gives the attention they strive for. Goodwin and Hubbell

students to be noticed and get the appropriate attention within the
Holden Caulfield Hypocrite
In J.D. Salinger s novel titled, The Catcher in the Rye the main character named
Holden Caulfield tells us about his life adventures after he got expelled from his
previous high school, Pencey. Caulfield learns many things from his adventures
and learns important life lessons. You see, Holden is a complex character who
exhibits many traits. For one, Holden is a hypocrite; he believes one thing when
he really does not. For example, he preaches that people should be themselves and
not be phony but yet he fakes his name most of the time and tries to be someone he
is not. Although Holden is a hypocrite, he stands up for his morals, and he is very
empathetic. Holden cares for others, even though it might seem as if he does not.
Holden is quite remarkable because he is willing to do anything if it means that he
gets to stand up for what he believes in. He is also a remarkable person due to the
fact that he learns from his past and tries not to make the same mistakes again. You
see,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, his opinion on sex is that it is dangerous, promiscuous, and it should
not be shown or spoken to the innocence. Yet, during half of the book he tries to
lose his virginity to various people. Another example might be Holden s red
hunting hat. Holden says that he bought the hunting hat to stand out: I put on this
hat that I d bought in New York that morning. It was this red hunting hat, with one
of those very, very long peaks....The way I wore it, I swung the old peak way
around to the back very corny, I ll admit, but I liked it that way. I looked good in it
that way (Salinger 21). Although, he always tries to lose the hat when he is in
crowds, indicating that he is a bit self conscious of himself even though he tries to
make himself stand out. Holden does not like phonies because they are foolish and
immature. Yet again, he is foolish and immature himself. For these reasons, Holden is
indeed a
God of Carnage
Annette vs. Nancy When taking the time to examine the characters of Annette
Reille, from the play, and Nancy Cowan, from Carnage, it is easy to find their
likenesses, but there are also some noticeable differences. One of the main reasons
for all of these differences is merely different interpretations of the character by
different readers. For example, the tone in which certain lines are said or in the way
a certain action is portrayed can change the whole personality of a character. When
reading, the reader portrays each of the characters as he/ she believes them to be, but
then another reader could have a differenceof opinion and change the whole attitude;
this was the case if you consider the readers to be myself and Kate Winslet.... Show

When looking at this line, Brilliant (Reza1262), from before, the difference is
shown wonderfully. In Carnage , Nancy isn t stating Penelope is really brilliant;
she has that good for you tone in her voice and could honestly care less about the
cobbler. Kate Winslet uses that tone of voice to show her apathy, but also does one
simple gesture that tops it off; she raises her eyebrows. Although it doesn t sound
like much, everyone knows that look of annoyance, and that is exactly the one
Nancy gave to Penelope in the movie. Later in the play, after shuffling through
Veronique s art books, Annette once again agrees with what Veronique has to say.
After Veronique makes the comment about taking her children to concerts, museums,
and making them read and saying We re eccentric enough to believe in the pacifying
abilities of culture! (Reza1267) about her and her husband; Annette says And you re
right... (Reza1267). Once again she is being very agreeable and there is no way to
know if this is her actual opinion. Annette is just too busy pleasing Veronique. At the
same moment in the play as mentioned before, the movie seems to play out
differently. Nancy does shuffle through the table full of magazines but in response to
Penelope s comment like Veronique s, she gives more of a head nod. Once again the
attitude difference is shown between Annette and Nancy in their take on the situation
by something very minimal.

the distance between the two individuals may give an indication of whether the
defendant is telling the truth or not. Similarly, knowing an approximate distance of a

Abstract: This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of adding polyethylene
glycol (PEG 4000), sodium bentonite to Acacia saligna hay as a roughage in the diet
to deactivate it s content of tannins.
Twenty healthy growing Barki lambs averaged of 30.90В±4.63 Kg body weight
were randomly divided into four groups (five animals of each) in fattening trial lasted
for 180 days. Nutrients digestibility, nitrogen balance, blood serum metabolites,
rumen parameters, weight changes and average daily gain (ADG) were determined.
Animal groups were fed on concentrate feed mixture (CFM)+ berseem hay (G1),
CFM + acacia hay (G2), G2 diet + 5% PEG (G3) and G2 diet + 4% bentonite (G4).
Results revealed that group one had higher values of digestibility coefficients for

Essay on Theodore Roosevelt
Theodore Roosevelt was an inspiring man; he was not just one of United States
greatest presidents, but one of the most important in the U.S. history. His life was
the most adventurous and interesting of all the presidents. He was an explorer, a
hunter, a rancher, a naturalist, an author, and a soldier. He was the first president
reformer in the modern era. All the courage he had, helped him gain or capture the
public s imagination like no president had done before since Andrew Jackson. He
was a progressive leader and a great nationalist that made more extensive the
presidency s power at the expense of the states, the Congress, and large business.
While he was encouraging the labor movement, he was also increasing the regulation

When the asthma got even worse than it usually did, his father would give him a
cup of coffee, which was usually quite strong, or made him throw up by giving him
a dose of syrup. Sometimes, he would even give Teedie a cigar so that he smoked
it to help his asthma. He d sometimes even put Teedie on a carriage and galloped to
force the cold night s air into his chest or lungs. Mittie Bulloch, Teedie s mom, was
born on July 8, 1845. She was daughter of James Stephens Bulloch, and Martha
Stewart Elliot. She married Theodore Roosevelt, Sr. on December 22 of the year
1853. Mittie was an inspiration to his son Teedie, and most of the time, she would
nurse him. Mittie was very patient with him and always kept a good sense of
humor when she was around him. The one person that was more of an inspiration
to Teedie than his mom was his father. To Teedie, the most important person and
inspiration in his life was his father, Theodore Roosevelt, Sr. He was born in
September 22 of 1831. His parents were Cornelius Roosevelt and Margaret
Barnhill. Teedie used to describe him as everything to him; his father, his friend,
and most of all, his companion. Mr. Roosevelt spent much of his time raising
money for charity such as Children s Aid Society and the Newsboys Lodging
House. Yet he was never too busy to give love and attention to his children. (1)

Freedom Is A Fundamental Right Of Individual Autonomy
Freedom of expression has become one of the most valued features of a free and
democratic society. Freedom of speech and expression are a set of valued rights
that allow citizens to openly debate, political issues, political leaders, and
government policies. Free flow of information is evidence of a healthy democracy.
Therefore, freedom is a fundamental right of individual autonomy. However, it is
very important to show contrast that there is a vast difference between the
allowance of freedom of expression in in Canada, compared to free speech in the
United States, where all forms freedom of speech is protected under the First
Amendment of the Bill of Rights. (Tarnopolsky 1983) However, under the 1982
Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedomsunder Section 2b, it states that Everyone
has the right to the following fundamental freedoms... thought, belief, opinion and
expression, including freedom of the press and other media communication.
(Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Section 2b) While section 2b is
guaranteed to protect freedom of expression, it is subject to Section 1, which states
that all Charter rights can be struck down within reasonable limits. The Oakes Test
has been an important tool that has been used to determine whether the
proportionality and rational of invoking Section 1 was done under a justifiable and
positive measures that outweigh the negatives. In this essay I examine R v. Keegstra,
R v. Zundel, R v. Whatcott, R v. Sharpe and R v. Butler. It
The Mental Illness Of Jake s Disability
Jake has started taking strenuous classes this semester and has developed an anxiety
disorder. This is a mental illness that causes constant worry and fear. In psychology,
there are many ways to look at the development and treatments for this affliction.
Behavioral, humanistic, and cognitive are three approaches that look at Jake s
disability in a similar, yet a contrasting manner.
The behavioral approach studies how one behaves and reacts in situations that trigger
anxiety. Jake is psyching himself out by his recently harder classes. In other words,
he dreads taking these classes because he associates them with anxiousness. This
learning is processed through paired association. In this example, the unconditioned
stimulus would be the advanced class and the unconditioned response would be Jake
becoming anxious. Systematic desensitization can treat this due to that fact that it is
learned from the environment. Jake will go through gradual steps to reach full
treatment. First, Jake must learn to relax through training. Second, Jake will create a
list of objects or situations in school that makes him uneasy. Lastly, he will face the
stimuli in a relaxed state. As an illustration, Jake tells the therapist that the tests in
his new classes worry him. The therapist will guide Jake to become less tense while
studying and taking the test. This will make his apprehension decrease and treat his
anxiety disorder. Psychologists view this today as having the ability to clearly measure
My First Year As A Program
UCAN is a program that has grown so much throughout the years. I have been part
of this program for two years and I ve been able to see the program s growth. I
learned a lot my first year as a mentor not just about my mentee but also about
myself. As we continue to develop the program we want to continue building
strong connection between all the mentors and the mentees. This year we had the
mentors present their version of an old power point that we originally had and
present a new and updated version of it. Our goal was for the mentors to gain
knowledge on that topic of that week and to find a way for the mentors to get to
know each other while working on this project. This new project that was added this
year was a success however... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As soon as classes start we will also be attending as many classes as possible so that
people come to our first informational. We plan on recruiting the high school students
through their open house. We did this with the purpose of announcing the program in
front of their parents, family members and teacher so that they help us to motivate
them to show up. Since we plan on recruiting members earlier than usual next year
we do plan on having a good portion of mentors however I hope that the ratio of
mentors to mentees is the same so that we continue to have one to one peer
mentoring. I think that they benefit more from the program when we dedicate the
entire time to just one mentee rather than two or three.
I got involved with this program because when I was in high school I knew I wanted
to pursue a higher education but had no idea how to make that possible because I
didn t know where to begin. Thankfully I found a teacher who would set time aside
from her lunch to walk me through the steps on how my applications needed to be
submitted and what I needed to include in my essays. I know that there are student
like me who are shy and don t know where to obtain the help that they need in order
to successfully submit their application. I decided to get involved with this program
because I want to be the mentor that that teacher was

1.1INTRODUCTION
Peri urban is a term often used in literature texts concerning town planning and urban
growth, yet there is a need to properly define the term and what constitutes its
existence. In certain texts, peri urban areas (PUA) are identified by their proximity to
the city and as such PUAs are also known as the urban fringe, hinterlands and
transition areas. Such proximity is caused by the physical expansion of a city s
physical boundary into adjoining regions. Physical expansions in such manner could
stem from urban growth, economic growth and relocation of industries.(Lacquinta
and Drescher 2000)
Peri urbanisation may become the dominant 21st century challenge for regional
and city planning and design. The peri urban is a zone of social and economic
change and restructuring, a zone of intensive and sometimes even chaotic
development. It is not just an in between or edge space at the urban fringe; rather it
is a new kind of hot spot multi functional landscape for urban renewal and
development (Kjell Nilsson et al 2014) and according to OECD (1979:) the impacts
of economic growth and physical expansion of the urban area are not
Martin Luther s Ninety-Five Theses On The Church
Martin Luther was the son of a coal miner and left his studies to become an
Augustinian monk. He spoke out against the church in Wittenberg. Luther was
convinced that salvation was earned by the performance of good deeds and grace
through the church. He disagreed and argued that salvation could only be obtained
by faith in knowing Christ s sacrifice. If one were to purchase indulgences, Luther
thought that they were useless because one can only be saved by the grace of God.
He also believed that Christian s should assume full responsibility for their actions on
earth. In 1517, Luther posted the Ninety Five Theseson the church door in
Wittenberg. This post was ninety five issues he sought to bring up and dispute with
the leaders of the Church
The Supply Chain Concept
Supply Chain Concept
Introduction
In today s competitive business environment many firms face the arduous mission of
managing their supply chain. In an effort to gain competitive advantage, firms must
make key decision involving logistics and operations management to move products
and service across the supply chain. The materialization and attractiveness of the
Internet has made supply chain management more attainable for business enterprises.
Research shows that Internet derived technology has enabled companies to build and
deploy supply chain management systems to perform key business decisions
involving product flow and scheduling, process design and selection, product
sourcing, layout, job design, and technology management. ... Show more content on

In fact, Young (2001) also states, particular product categories may work better in
certain channels than in others. Clothing sells better for us online, while boot wear
works best in the catalog. So we would tailor our promotions accordingly.
The use of internal market research does not only facilitate in developing a
distribution strategy, but also assists the procurement, logistics, marketing, and
inventory departments to order, distribute, promote, and maintain the right products
to meet consumer demand.
EBusiness plays a key role in gathering information to allow firms to improve supply
chain processes that increases productivity and distribution of the right products to
the right place to meet the customer s needs.
The benefits of the Supply Chain to eBusiness
EBusiness is very beneficial in improving and maintaining product quality and
reducing cost. By using Internet technologies across the supply chain a firm can
determine the best ways to implement eBusiness strategies by analyzing business
processes throughout the entire organization. Schneider (2004, p. 230) illustrates that
Internet technologies provide suppliers with the following advantages in an
eBusiness environment:
В•Share information about customer demand fluctuations.
В•Receive rapid notification of product design

Positive Behavior Support Case Study
What do you think the nurse s role should be in relation to mental health issues in the
school, school climate, and positive behavior supports for behaviorally disordered
youth in the school?
The topic of mental health has a profound stigma in our society and it notably affects
students with disabilities. The nurses office should be a safe place for students with
behavioral issues where they can express their somatic symptoms free from the
pressures of the school setting (peers, administrators, and teachers). Advocacy plays
an enormous part in the role of the school nurse and particularly for this population of
students. At times, the nurses office can serve to deescalate situations by providing a

An alternative to expulsion and suspension can be the implementation of School

incorporated evidence based education strategies, improved school climate, reinforced
positive student behavior, and improved overall academic achievement (Nocera,

encompass the support of the district, administrators, staff and students. One
important facet of the school nurse is case management of conditions and

Immigration Policy Debate Analysis
Throughout the debate, I had a difficult time following a lot of what was said.
However, from what I was able to hear and decipher, I agree with Governor Mike
Pence. In the economy portion I feel like Pence s standpoint is better. His plan is to
lower taxes, invest in the small business, and keep coal plants running. All of these
things would better America. Raising minimum wagewould raise everything else.
Everything would cost more with the raise in minimum wage and that is what
Senator Kaine wants. Also, he wants to raise taxes on the rich and I believe that
this would indirectly affect the middle class. I liked what Pence said about the law
enforcement, he said that police are the best of us which I fully support. I also liked
how he said that every police involved shooting should be investigated fully and
completely. Kaine said... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Do s and Don ts of Pride and Prejudice
In 19th century England, manners played a big role. In her book Pride and Prejudice,
Jane Austen portrays many different aspects of English social manners in the 1800s,
and these facets of English etiquette, including traveling etiquette, social propriety,
and dancing, greatly affect the plot of the book.
One aspect of English social etiquette was the set of strict rules for how one was to
act to appear as a socially adept person and therefore a desirable match for marriage.
They were for the most part unspoken rules, but during the 19th century there began
to be a growing selection of etiquette books available, for instance, Dr. ... Show more

He dances every dance, is very courteous, and pays special attention to Jane (Austen

establish their reputations; Darcy gets a bad reputation as a proud and disagreeable
man, and Mr. Bingley gets a reputation as an amiable man who is fun to be around.
Mr. Bingley through dancing also got an opportunity to show Jane that he cared
about her; in the 1800s, if a gentleman asked to dance with a lady twice it usually
meant that said gentleman was interested in the lady. At the first ball, Mr. Bingley
danced with [Jane] twice... (Austen 279) and thereby showed his affection for her, an
affection that grows stronger throughout Pride and Prejudice.
Dancing also affects the plot of Pride and Prejudice. During the ball at Netherfield,
Darcy dances with Elizabeth, and two important things happen during this dance.
First, Darcy s affection for Elizabeth begins to flourish. As he is dancing with her,
they have a little argument. After the dance, Darcy begins to be angry at Elizabeth,
but ...in Darcy s breast there was a tolerable powerful feeling towards [Elizabeth],
which soon procured her pardon, and directed all his anger against another. Also,
during this dance Elizabeth s view of what happened between Mr. Darcy and Mr.
Wickham, that Mr. Darcy has shamelessly exploited Mr. Wickham, is established in
her own mind. Without dancing, the plot of Pride and
Roman Colosseum Research Paper
One of the most important things to understanding Rome is their fixation with
violence and war. Without an understanding of why and how the Romans had such
extremely violent games in the Colosseum it is incredibly difficult to comprehend
Roman culture and the motives of their actions. The cause and effects of the Roman
Colosseumcome about after the Punic wars. Roman culture is also very interesting
because it in some ways is opposite to our own. The importance of the gladiatorial
games can be seen during the Pax Romana, also known as Roman peace, started by
emperor Augustus in 31 BC in which Romedid not embark on a real war until AD 14.

Ordinary people also had to wear white togas if they wanted a seat in the bottom
two tiers. Citizens were spread out depending on various factors, with bachelors
and married men sitting in different blocks, as well as women and poor men
standing near the top. As time went on gladiatorial fights were substituted for
chariot races, this came about in 42 BC at the earliest. The gladiatorial shows
eventually became official careers, they were a obligation of the officers of state
and were paid for by the taxes. Emperor Augustus put limits on the gladiatorial
shows, making one hundred and twenty the maximum gladiators at a show and
only two regular showings in a year. The main motive for his limiting of
gladiatorial shows was to restrict the amount of time aristocrats had to court the
general populous. Over time as new Emperors came to power the restrictions were
gradually lowered. This gave rise to aristocrats competing over political success
and prestige by holding shows and giving away free items at these shows. The
Emperor himself held the most spectacular of shows such as Trajan to celebrate the
conquest of Dacia in 108 AD. During a showing in 64 AD, the roman reverence for

Paradise Lost By Milton Vs. Eve
Everyone knows the basic story of the fall of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve both
lived in the Garden of Eden in paradise until Eve was tempted by Satan disguised as
a serpent. Satan tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and in return, Eve tempted
Adam as well. In Milton s epic poem, Paradise Lost, we get a closer look into the
entire Genesis story. We also get a deeper look into what was going on in the
mindsets of each of the characters. One of the characters that we get a specifically
closer look at is Satan. In Paradise Lost, we are able to see a different side of Satan
than what the bible and normal stories tell us. We all think of Satan as the villain,
but Milton gave us a different view of him in Paradise Lost. In Paradise Lost the
reader was able to actually see as more than just a manipulative spirit. We got to see
him represented as a strong leader that will fight for what he believes in. The
beginning of the poem focuses on Satan s journey from heaven. According to Matt
Wallace, William Blake stated that the reason Milton wrote at liberty of Devils and
Hellwas because...he was of the Devils party without knowing it (2008). It is
unknown as to where the source of Milton s Satan came from. Maybe there is more
to Milton s Satan than modern critics have realized. To begin contemplating on if
Satan is truly the hero or not in Paradise Lost, we must first decipher on exactly

Some companies might be deterred from outsourcing here, since the Mexican
government has some strict regulations. They require paid vacation premium, eight
paid holidays each year, medical care coverage, employee training, Mexican social
security, overtime, premiums, Christmas bonus of 15 days salary, and profit sharing
of 10 percent of total profits (Schniederjans). Mexico is also notorious for economic
volatility and instability. Their dependence on the U.S. economy is unhealthy, they
often experience our negative economic fluctuations to a magnified degree. Lots of
companies prefer to invest their money in countries that offer a little more stable.

The Ethical Treatment Of Circus Animals
The circus can be dated back to as far as 1782 in Paris, France where people came to
enjoy family friendly entertainment. The circus has always included tricks and stunts
by not only people but also highly trained animals. For decades now, people have
considered the treatment of animal performances in the circuscruel and unjust.
Protesters argue that animals are stripped from their native lands and forced to
preform shows, meanwhile being treated harshly and abused by the human circus
performers. Tigers, elephants, and other animals are trained and forced to entertain
audiences by standing on their heads, jumping through hoops, and doing balance
tricks. Spectators have considered this a spiteful treatment of animals, for it is often
physically challenging and frightening to the animal performers. There have been
reports of circus trainers abusing animal performers with whips, muzzles, and other
painful tools. Today, protestors are fighting for animal s rights and against the use of
animals in circuses . Protesters are objecting to animal circus performers, purely
because of the belief that these animals are being forced to do impossible stunts, are
in confined areas, and are abused with painful tools. One of the biggest frustrations of
protesters is the fact that circus animals are held in constant confinement. Protest
organization The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) explains how

In regard to s. 13 of the (Neighbourhood Disputes Resolution Act , 2011) it states
that the fence that divides the properties between Robert and Charlie is considered
to be a sufficient dividing fence , which is stated as a fence for adjoining land of
two section of residential land . The act states that a sufficient dividing fence should
be a minimum height of 0.5 metres and should not exceed 1.8 metres in height. The
underlying issue that is evident is that the fence between the two was in fact 3
metres in height which is well over legal limits. In addition to this, Robert had an
inspection on the fence and discovered that the fence was not in appropriate
condition for it to stay there and he did not take actions to apply for the fence to be
removed.
Due to the fact that part of the fence has fallen down, there is no question that there
has to be a replacement built. Because the original fence was over the legal length
of 1.8 metres, the remaining length of the fence has to also be removed as it cannot
be renewed or rebuild back to its original height of 3 metres. Therefore, Robert
should take immediate action in regards to the removal of the rest of the fence that
still current stands. This is due to the fact that the other parts of the oversized fence
could still quite possibly injure someone and or damage something of either Robert s
and Charlie s property, which luckily for Robert s instance didn t happen when the
Paper On Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde was an Irish novelist, playwright, and poet. He is recognized as one of
the foremost figures of the late nineteenth century aesthetic movement, centered on
the doctrine of art for art s sake , supporting an emphasis on aesthetic value rather
than social political or moral themes. Wilde was born into an intellectual Irish
family on October 16th, 1854. His father was an aural surgeon and his mother was a
poet. She established a literary salon through which she exposed Wilde and his
siblings to literature, art, and culture. As a young man, Wilde attended Trinity College
in Dublin, and then Oxford for further studies. It was here that he made his first
substantial attempts at creative writing and adopted aestheticism as a way of life....

Throughout the next decade, Wilde would publish poetry, marry, and go on lecture
tours of Great Britain and America. In 1890, the first version of Wilde s first and
only novel The Picture of Dorian Gray was published in Lippincott s Monthly
Magazine. It aroused enormous indignation in Wilde s contemporaries, and
reviewers criticized it due to its homosexual allusions and immoral characters.
Wilde responded, If a work of art is rich and vital and complete, those who have
artistic instincts will see its beauty and those to whom ethics appeal more strongly
will see its moral lesson . Even so, he revised it extensively before publishing it as a
novel the following year, adding six new chapters and removing passages that were

Eternal Fidelity Quotes
Independent Study Unit Update #1:
Love in the Time of Cholera The author s purpose: The author Gabriel Marquez
conveys through Love In The Time of Cholera, lovesickness is an illness, a plague
that is comparable to Cholera. Gabriel conveys this using the main characters eternal
fidelity, love leading to physical suffering and emotional emptiness. Eternal Fidelity:
One of the main character Floretino Ariza has eternal love for the other main
character Fermina Doza. Florentino s undying love Fermina can be seen as obsessive
and psychotic at times due to their forbidden relationship ending suddenly. Form:
Florentino has waited over 51 years to declare his undying love for Fermina.
Florentino did not care if Fermina s husband has just passed away, he is already to
save Fermina s heart. This can prove irony in this novel due to Florentino showing up
just in time of this sudden death to re unite with his one, true love. ... Show more

Love leading to physical suffering:
Florentino shows an obsessive behaviour towards Fermina which lead him to be
sick and suffer Cholera like symptoms when he ate flowers so he can remember
Fermina since she smells like flowers. Form:
Florentino described his physical agony of vomiting after eating flowers and drinking
cologne resulting in diarrhea and green vomit. Florentino felt the urgent need to do
this because he wants to remember Fermina s scent. This proves as both physical and

cologne just to remember Fermina. Quote:
Crowned goddess, which he composes in her honor, after seeing her wearing a crown
of flowers, atop her head. (page 62).

Mange Research Paper
This paper will discuss mange. Included will be the two different types of mange,
the side effects of mange, and the treatment options associated with mange. Mange
can affect many species of animals, but it is considered common in dogs. Mange is
an inflammation of the skin which is caused by mites that live on or in the skin
(Colville, Bassert, 2016). They cause irritation, itchiness and hair loss. When the
animal scratches themselves it can cause deep wounds which can lead to infection
or the skin may thicken and become flaky (Colville, Bassert, 2016). There are two
types of mites; demodex and sarcoptes. To determine which type of mite the animal
has, there needs to be a sample taken from a skin scraping and looked at under a
microscope (Colville, Bassert, 2016). Demodex mites live in the hair follicles and
sebaceous glands. They appear long and thin with stubby legs (Colville, Bassert,
2016). It is passed from the mother to her puppies and is considered a common mite
on the skin normally causing minimal problems (Grognet, 2009). In some cases dogs
with a low immune systemdo experience problems with the demodex mite. There
are two types of demodectic mange; localized and generalized (Grognet, 2009).
Localized demodectic mange can normally go without treatment and will eventually
resolve itself. The generalized form is more severe and is difficult to treat (Grognet,
2009). There are two commonly used insecticides that can be used for treatment.
There is a weekly Mitaban dip and a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In judging the historical reliability of the Gospels the kind of the gospels is important in understanding the intentions of the writers concerning the historical value of the text. When ranking the following sayings of Jesus: I ve come from above to rescue those below and call them to higher things, just as the One who sent me to you commanded me. When using the rule of thumb from BINT to judge the sayings, it says that the Earlier sources are more likely to be historically reliable because they have had less time in circulation to be altered which would rule out this saying since the gospel of Thomas was written around the same time as the gospel of mark was written (70 CE) but I rank it above the rest because that saying can be found in Matthew 20:16 So the last will be first, and the first will be last, Mark 10:31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first, and in Luke 13:30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last. Giving it two independent documents, it is more historical reliable than the other

Mass Media During The Last Century Mass Media During the Last Century Lea Berrier HUM/186 December 4, 2017 Allyson Wells Mass Media During the Last Century Mass media has changed dramatically over the course of the last century. There have been three major changes. Each of these changes has effected American culture. The changes have taken place because of media convergence. These are the major changes. The first significant development in mass media was the paper stage (Campbell, Martin, Fabos, 2016, ). During this phase, stories or messages were sent out written, or typed on paper. That was the way that they reached the people. The second stage of mass media was the Electronic Era. During this era, messages could meet their match in an instant. People did not have to wait for it to be delivered over time. The third development of mass media is the digital era. The digital era includes images and sounds converted into an electronic signal (Campbell, Martin, Fabos, 2016, ). Messages are being delivered faster than ever before. These are the three significant developments in the last century. These Eras all greatly affected American culture. During the paper Era, people lived on farms (Campbell, Martin, Fabos, 2016, ). Once stories such as books, and newspapers were developed, they could reach a lot of people. The written word did not change according to who told it. It made sure that everybody got the same information. The electronic Era also had a significant influence on culture. The

  • 14. The Casket Of Amontillado . Edgar Allan Poe’S “The Cask The Casket of Amontillado Edgar Allan Poe s The Cask of Amontillado is a short story illustrating how pride leads to the downfall of two men. At the story s heart is the tale of Montresor, the protagonist, getting revenge on a former friend, Fortunato. Poe s characterization of Montresor shows a sinister, proud man, obsessed not only with his revenge but also not getting punished himself. It must be a perfect revenge, one in which Fortunato will know fully what is happening to him and in which Montresor will be forever undetected (Morsberger 334). Poe s portrayal of Montresor and his revenge depends mainly on his use of three artistic tools: a first person narrative, dramatic irony, and symbolism. A brief examination of these three... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the carnival, when Montresor meets Fortunato and tells him about the amontillado, he states, As you are engaged, I am on my way to Luchresi, referring to Fortunato being inebriated. Fortunato insists that, Luchresi cannot tell Amontillado from Sherry (Poe 361). Knowing his victim s vanity, Montresor baits him by saying that some fools argue that Luchresi s taste is as fine as Fortunato s (Morsberger 334). The use of the first person narrative lets Poe change how readers view the characters. By telling the story through Montresor s point of view, readers never get the chance to hear Fortunato s side of the story, meaning one never discovers if Fortunato truly wronged Montresor. This prevents the reader from having sympathy for either character. Charles May says, The reader has no way of knowing what these thousand injuries and the mysterious insult are and thus can make no judgement about whether Montresor s revenge is justifiable (qtd. in Baraban para. 6). Third, and perhaps most importantly, the first person point of view lets the reader know ahead of time about Montresor s plan for revenge, setting up the use of irony in the story. A second tool Poe used in The Cask of Amontilladois dramatic irony. Poe used irony multiple times in this story, largely due to using the first person narrator. A major plot dynamic of Poe s great story is Montresor s menacing irony, and

Students do not always raise their hands to answer questions, start a conversation with a classmate, or interrupt the lesson to say they do not understand a topic. I often have to spend several minutes a day asking students to stop talking, reminding students to raise their hand and wait to be called on, and spend a great deal of time waiting for my students to quiet down and refocus. This idea resonated with other sources as well. Although Holden is a hypocrite, he stands up for his morals, and he is very empathetic. Holden cares for others, even though it might seem as if he does not. • 18. God of Carnage Annette vs. Nancy When taking the time to examine the characters of Annette Reille, from the play, and Nancy Cowan, from Carnage, it is easy to find their likenesses, but there are also some noticeable differences. One of the main reasons for all of these differences is merely different interpretations of the character by different readers. For example, the tone in which certain lines are said or in the way a certain action is portrayed can change the whole personality of a character. When reading, the reader portrays each of the characters as he/ she believes them to be, but then another reader could have a differenceof opinion and change the whole attitude; this was the case if you consider the readers to be myself and Kate Winslet.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When looking at this line, Brilliant (Reza1262), from before, the difference is shown wonderfully. In Carnage , Nancy isn t stating Penelope is really brilliant; she has that good for you tone in her voice and could honestly care less about the cobbler. Kate Winslet uses that tone of voice to show her apathy, but also does one simple gesture that tops it off; she raises her eyebrows. Although it doesn t sound like much, everyone knows that look of annoyance, and that is exactly the one Nancy gave to Penelope in the movie. Later in the play, after shuffling through Veronique s art books, Annette once again agrees with what Veronique has to say. After Veronique makes the comment about taking her children to concerts, museums, and making them read and saying We re eccentric enough to believe in the pacifying abilities of culture! (Reza1267) about her and her husband; Annette says And you re right... (Reza1267). Once again she is being very agreeable and there is no way to know if this is her actual opinion. Annette is just too busy pleasing Veronique. At the same moment in the play as mentioned before, the movie seems to play out differently. Nancy does shuffle through the table full of magazines but in response to Penelope s comment like Veronique s, she gives more of a head nod. Once again the attitude difference is shown between Annette and Nancy in their take on the situation by something very minimal.

  • 26. The Mental Illness Of Jake s Disability Jake has started taking strenuous classes this semester and has developed an anxiety disorder. This is a mental illness that causes constant worry and fear. In psychology, there are many ways to look at the development and treatments for this affliction. Behavioral, humanistic, and cognitive are three approaches that look at Jake s disability in a similar, yet a contrasting manner. The behavioral approach studies how one behaves and reacts in situations that trigger anxiety. Jake is psyching himself out by his recently harder classes. In other words, he dreads taking these classes because he associates them with anxiousness. This learning is processed through paired association. In this example, the unconditioned stimulus would be the advanced class and the unconditioned response would be Jake becoming anxious. Systematic desensitization can treat this due to that fact that it is learned from the environment. Jake will go through gradual steps to reach full treatment. First, Jake must learn to relax through training. Second, Jake will create a list of objects or situations in school that makes him uneasy. Lastly, he will face the stimuli in a relaxed state. As an illustration, Jake tells the therapist that the tests in his new classes worry him. The therapist will guide Jake to become less tense while studying and taking the test. This will make his apprehension decrease and treat his anxiety disorder. Psychologists view this today as having the ability to clearly measure

In certain texts, peri urban areas (PUA) are identified by their proximity to the city and as such PUAs are also known as the urban fringe, hinterlands and transition areas. Such proximity is caused by the physical expansion of a city s physical boundary into adjoining regions. Physical expansions in such manner could stem from urban growth, economic growth and relocation of industries.(Lacquinta and Drescher 2000) Peri urbanisation may become the dominant 21st century challenge for regional and city planning and design. One aspect of English social etiquette was the set of strict rules for how one was to act to appear as a socially adept person and therefore a desirable match for marriage. Adam and Eve both lived in the Garden of Eden in paradise until Eve was tempted by Satan disguised as a serpent. Satan tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and in return, Eve tempted Adam as well. In Milton s epic poem, Paradise Lost, we get a closer look into the entire Genesis story. We also get a deeper look into what was going on in the mindsets of each of the characters. Mange can affect many species of animals, but it is considered common in dogs. Mange is an inflammation of the skin which is caused by mites that live on or in the skin (Colville, Bassert, 2016). They cause irritation, itchiness and hair loss.
