I was able to attend some online classes at Truckee Meadows Community College thoroughly enjoyed
the experience. I was even able to help my husband get through an online course by setting a schedule
for him. I interacted with many individuals who found online learning to be a challenge and did not

extra time in case I need to step away to come back to the assignment when I am more rested. One of
the ways I address this issue is to multiply the time I believe it will take to complete the task by 3. For

I was very interested in the lesson that we did with the students today because we used the ELA
rubrics to model good writing with the short and extended responses. We went through each of the
features of the short response first and showed students different examples of student s writing. They
then had to grade the student according to if it deserved 2 points, 1 point, or 0 points. By doing this the
students were able to see examples of good, fair, and bad responses. For the short response students
were able to learn that the most important feature of a short response was that it made a valid
