NOISE IN COMMUNICATION
What Is Noise?
Noise is a random signal that exists in a
communication system.
Noise is anything that interferes with the message.
TYPES OF NOISE
• External (caused by neither the sender or
receiver) also known as channel noise.
• Internal (caused by receiver) also known as
psychological noise.
EFFECT OF NOISE
• The receiver cannot understand the sender.
• The receiver cannot function as it should be.
• Reduce the efficiency of the communication system.
• Degrade system performance for both analog and digital
system.
REDUCE NOISE
IN
COMMUNICATIONS
• Special encoding and decoding techniques used to
optimize the recovery of the signal.
• Proper error detection method and then steps to remove
that errors.
• Filters are used to exclude unwanted bandwidth from a
signal.
• Proper Connecting Wires can reduce the level of noise.
• Keep the wires away from electrical machinery.
• Ensure all technology works effectively.
