System Log Report
All of the operating system (OS) log files were examined for any suspicious activity. The event logs
which were searched were application, security, setup, system, as well as applications and services.
According to Sunil Gupta (2013), Windows has the ability to generate a detailed audit record of
security events on each system. Windows logs events for the two types of security Accounts:
Computer and User for their logon and authentication (p.21). The application log was searched for
errors and events of programs and applications. Security logs were checked for log ins to the device
and the manipulation of files and folders. Setup logs were searched for information on what programs
were installed on the device. System logs provided ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This type of exploitation of web browser technology poses a persistent vulnerability in network
security, and for that reason it is important that employees do not become the victim of such an attack.
According to Will Dormann and Jason Rafail, Not securing your web browser can lead quickly to a
variety of computer problems caused by anything from spyware being installed without your
knowledge to intruders taking control of your computer (2008). After this phase of the investigation
was completed, the targets were interviewed for their input on why the penetration testers were
successful or failed to obtain sensitive information.
The risk of a breach due to an insider is something that Cybercom must consider and have measures in
place for. Some of the vulnerabilities associated with an insider attach include the setting up of a rogue
access point and the use of thumb drives. A rogue WiFi access point setup near an external wall could
be used to access the network from outside the facility, and thumb drives can be used to steal data,
keeping it in a small, easy to conceal medium. According to Kelly Jackson Higgins, The difference
with insiders is they can inflict measurable financial, measurable IP, measurable brand and reputation
damage more so than an outsider can (2012).
Analysis
Of the Threats identified, three were deemed to be the most crucial to address;

Airtex Aviation Case Study AirTex Aviation 1. Did AirTex need a new control system at the time of
the takeover?
* The management system that was in place was one woman who magically kept everything in her
head. There was limited and almost incomprehensible formal system. Sarah Arthur, the company s
accountant, had complete autonomy over the company s information, and she kept this information
private. * AirTex was in need of a more formalized accounting system, since accounting was a central
department of the company, and profitability was a key measure to ensure the success of the company
at the time of the takeover. * Also, Ted and Frank had plans to dispose of Sarah Arthur, who was
acting manager upon their arrival. However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

set up his office with a blackboard to accommodate teaching. This encouraged managers to seek him
for advice when they encountered a problem and he was willing to provide mentoring and training.
Frank and Ted recognized that their employees were experienced and motivated to succeed in their
roles. As a result, Ted decided to take a backseat approach in terms of his management style. He didn t

The Incident Of My Mini Experiment
The incident
My opportunity to practice or implement my mini experiment when I was called in to a meeting with
the General Manager and several other staff. The goal was to review a major situation where key
components were not in stock. Resulting in the business not being able to function correctly until
resolved. My goal in relation to my mini experiment, was to remain engaged in the meeting and not
allow my default routine of mentally withdrawing and shutting down to take place for as long as
possible.
Incident insights
The meeting was heading for a finger pointing session this struck me of the chronically defeated team
(Tyson 2010), and how this leads to poor team performance. This frustrated me as I wanted to
contribute in a positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is holding my breath for a three count, in order to stop my mouth from making comments I
regret. Instead allowing my mind to think of solutions or options to remain actively engaged in the
meeting and not withdraw into myself. When the time came I took the opportunity and employed the
circuit breaker.
Experiment outcomes, the good
The impact this had on the tone of the meeting was noticeable. It became apparent to me the General
Manager was expecting me to behave the way I had previously, having my mini meltdown. When it
became apparent I was not, and able to progress the conversation past the usual point he appeared to
be visible thrown by this. I felt he had already planned the exchange in his mind before walking into
the meeting. This had an unforeseen side effect as the General Manager had lost control of the meeting
and I was now effectively running it. We were able to address the immediate issue and form action
points to move forward. This is an example of me being able to influence in real time in order to
achieve positive goals for myself and others. Somehow I had managed to remain detached yet
engaged (Hughes 2015) resulting in a more productive experience.
Experiment outcomes, the bad
The next steps in the meeting was when I was unsuccessful in delaying my default routine. I
relinquished control of proceedings back to the General Manager. The overriding dynamic of the

Explanation Of Solubility Research
What is solubility? Solubility is a chemical property referring to the ability for a given substance, the
solute, to dissolve in a solvent. (Science Daily, 2014) Solubility occurs around people throughout their
everyday life, and is exemplified through their food and drinks, and even the air that surrounds them.
Solubility is a complex idea that can be understood in a simpler form, i.e., having hot coffee and
adding sugar to it. It appears that the hot coffee melts the salt, but deeper beyond the surface the hot
coffee molecules break apart the sugar molecules; the molecules are broken down, because of the
increase in temperature that causes the molecules to collide harder. The collision is caused by the
faster, vibrating molecules in the solution.
The solute (salt) is the substance that dissolves in the solvent (water) and it depends on a few things:
temperature, volume, type of solvent and concentration. The solubility of most salts can be found on a
solubility curve and it expresses the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second law of thermodynamics is a general principle that expresses how some solutes dissolve in
decreased temperatures, because it places constraints upon the direction of heat transfer and the
attainable efficiencies of heat engines (R Nave). In other words, in all energy exchanges if no energy
enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the state will always be less than that of the initial
state. (Farabee, 2010) The second law is commonly known as the law of increased entropy, a measure
of unusable energy within a closed or isolated system and it is a system of chaos. (All about science,
2002) The kinetic energy of the solution increases with the temperature and it allows the particles to
slide between each other; It can be understood by imagining a vibrating molecule engulfing a regular
molecule and breaking it

The Workplace Conditions And Safety Climate Related...
The workplace conditions and safety climate related programmes, especially in emerging industrial
countries, are remained poorly neglected (Bosak, Coetsee, Cullinane, 2013) . For instance, Indonesia
as an emerging country has three major issues regarding safety climate, including labour market,
security and quality of the working environment issues, such as poorly paid salary and wages, long
working hours, accidents, etc. (OECD, 2014). In fact, Jamsostek (2013) reports that work accidents in
Indonesia has been increasing to one point seventy six percent per year (p.82). For example, in 2013
there were 103.285 accidents or 283 accidents per day with a total claim of 563.44b rupiah or
equivalent to US$ 56.344m (Jamsostek, 2013, p. 110). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Accordingly, employee s safety issue is not only related to physical factor but also psychological
factors. Hence, it may argue that working environments may relate to psychological safety of the
employees (Law, Dollard, Tuckey, Dormann, 2011). Furthermore, several authors have argued that
psychological safety of the employees may have an impact on other factors, such as employee s
efficacy (Al Refaie, 2013; Chen Chen, 2014; Christian, Bradley, Wallace, Burke, 2009) and
performance (Baer Frese, 2003; A. Carmeli Gittell, 2009; Edmondson, 1999). For example, when an
employee has got unsafe condition at work psychologically, it will affect his/her self confidence to
perform the job effectively and indeed, it may affect the performance of the company. Hence, it may
argue that these three factors (i.e. psychological safety, self efficacy and performance) are related.
Although there has been increasing focus on studying Psychological safety (Amponsah Tawiah et al.,
2013; Brown Leigh, 1996; Edmondson, 1999; Kahn, 1990; May, Gilson, Harter, 2004; Tynan, 2005),
self efficacy (Bandura, 1982; Elias, Barney, Bishop, 2013; Jones, 1986; Riggs Knight, 1994; Wang,

Bellevue Art Museum
I ve been to many museums and art exhibitions before but this is the first time I ever attended one in
Washington. Back in my country, my parents always take me to those places on the weekend and the
passion of watching arts and crafts grew inside me since then. I first explored Bellevue Art Museum a
few weeks ago when my friend said there is a really fascinating exhibition about modern sculpture as
well as china painting materials. At first, I would never able to imagine how artists can bring animals
such as deer and crow like bird to blend with modern culture and use imagination to represent their
idea about society. I really enjoy how visiting those places makes me appreciate the talents of the
artists, looking at those sculptures and paintings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The size of it is very small and therefore I was not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by
the exhibitions. Even though Bellevue Art Museum is very small scale with only three floors but the
quality of exhibitions is incredible. When I first came in, I took the stairs to the entrance of the
museum and proceeded into it through a resolving glass door. I purchased my ticket from a really
friendly front desk woman and got the little green tab that you have to clip on to your body in order to
let securities know that you paid to get in. The building itself is light, spacious and modern. It mostly
built in concrete and glass with very sparse and open which helps audience to acknowledge what
exhibits take center stage. The main level of the museum had very good natural lighting through
skylight. On the outside, Bellevue Art Museum has a great red wall with benches therefore it looks

Racial Segregation In Schools Case Study
Other racial group also suffered racial segregation in school. One example was the Mendez v.

intellectual knowledge. This also occurred in East Los Angeles blowout in 1968 were students walked
out of class racial segregation in integrated school. However, Native children were forced to leave
their families to go to go to boarding school and assimilate; changing their appearance by cutting their
hair, changing their outfit, and changing their natives name to American name. Chinese Americans

This movement was first led by James Meredith, who attempted to complete a peaceful march from
Memphis, Tennessee to Jackson, Mississippi in 1996 (U.S. History, 54i.). He was shot in an ambushed
on the second day of his march against fear. This raised attention to national media and to his fellow
civil right leaders; Martin Luther King Jr. of SCLC, Stokely Carmichael of SNCC, and Floyd
Mckissick of CORE. These activists took over to continue the march during Meredith s recovery.
Although they had different agendas (violence or non violence approach) in this movement, this made
it the most influential impact for other racial group to have the courage to fight for their human rights
and to end racism and segregation in this country. The influenced of Carmichael s self defense
approach made Huey and Bobby Seale to form the black panther party in Oakland, California in 1966.

What Are The Different Types Of Love In Romeo And Juliet
Humans have many goals and decisions throughout their life, some important, some trivial. Love is
one of the big decisions that appears in life. Love varies in many forms, love between friends and the
love between a parent and their child are different. These different types of love are called facets, and
are often utilized in literature to show the relationship between characters. These facets lets the reader
know what kind of person the character is and makes the story more engaging, and detailed because
Eros, one of the types of love, shows the passion between lovers, Philia shows the love between
friends, and Storge shows the loving relationship between a child and their parents.
Eros shows the romantic love between two individuals, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

An example for this can be found in Romeo and Juliet when Mercutio says At this same ancient feast
of Capulet s sups the fair Rosaline whom thou so loves, with all the admirèd beauties of Verona. Go
thither, and with unattainted eye compare her face with some that I shall show, and I will make thee
think thy swan a crow. (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 1). This quote tell us that Mercutio is telling Romeo
to go to the feast and compare Rosaline with the other girls, and that when he does, he will find that
she is not as beautiful as the others. This is important to the story as it establishes that Mercutio does
not want Romeo to be sad about Rosaline, so he tells him to find someone else. Another example of
Philia can be found in the popular childrens novel Charlotte s Web. In Charlotte s Web, E.B White
writes Why did you do all this for me? he asked. I don t deserve it. I ve never done anything for you.
You have been my friend, replied Charlotte. That in itself is a tremendous thing. (E.B. White 164).
This quote shows that Charlotte loved Wilbur and helped him out of friendship. This as a result
solidifies the bond between Charlotte and Wilbur, and shows the audience that they are very close
friends. Philia helps the reader understand if a character is a good person or not depending on how
they treat each

Cubby Inc. V. Prodigy Summary
CASE (Stratton Oakmont, Inc. V. Prodigy): An unidentified user of Prodigy s Money Talk created a
post on the bulletin board in October 1994 and claimed that Stratton Oakmont, Inc a Long Island
Securities investment banking firm and its president Danny Porush performed criminal and fraudulent
activities with the initial public stock offerings of Solomon Page, Limited. Stratton Oakmont sued
both the Prodigy and the unidentified poster for the defamation and argued that Prodigy is liable under
the common law definition under defamation. Court Ruling: Stratton argued that liabilities are to be
imposed on Prodigy as it exerted editorial control over messages by 1. Posting content information
instructions for its users. 2. Enforce the guidelines with the Board Leaders. 3. Using screening
software to remove offensive language. Senator Exon provided a defense against such civil or criminal
liability, to encourage ISP to monitor the services. Later, this case conflicted with the court decision in

Natalie Portman For Dior Analysis
This photo of Natalie Portman for Dior is a good example of Photoshop. Her eyelashes were
admittedly Photoshopped when questioned by the ASA* of the U.K. who refused to allow the Dior ad
to publish in their country. Celebs use it all the time to create that perfect other worldly look to their
bodies and faces. Sometimes that is a bad thing though. So many women have lower self esteem due
to this simple smoke and mirrors effect of Photoshop. What I find interesting is America is very pro
Photoshop in nearly every single magazine, ad, etc. However in the U.K. you will often see people
without any editing done to their faces. It is such a stark contrast. I think it s better to have natural
faces in magazines so we all know

The First Day Of English Class
I look the first debate judge in the eyes and he nods. Then my gaze drifts to the second one and she
smiles. Finally I look to my right at my final judge, he simply winks at me. I close my eyes and count
to three. It s finally time to begin; this is my time. These next three minutes everyone has to listen to
me and my opinion. I open my mouth, but the only thought going through my head is, why? Why am I
doing this? Why am I here? Why did I make this mistake?
It was the first day of English class and the teacher asked, who here has ever given a class presentation
before? I looked around hoping, praying, that someone else is like me. However fate was not on my
side. Every hand in the class was proudly raised high and I was all alone on my little island of fear.
The teacher looked directly at me and asked why I had not ever done a presentation. I m a clicker, I
mumbled, it was barely audible but the teacher heard it and his face softened. Well Mr. Peschansky it s
time you become a talker.
A psychological study done in the early 70 s found that people are more afraid of public speaking then
of death. Standing at the front of the room in my first debate tournament I realize just how true that is.
All I can hear is my heart hammering away in my chest, my legs feel like they are going to give and I
m shaking all over.
I never opened my mouth when I was in grade school. I was the kid that was always reading. If my
head was not buried in a book then something was probably

Neuromuscular Facilitation Vs. Taping
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation VS. Kinesio Taping Phillip Jean Juste and Hakeem
Johnson Kinesiology OTA 103 Lainisha McMiller Turner July 9, 2015 Occupational Therapy is a
growing field; one that is constantly changing as technology becomes more advanced. There are
different techniques and methods used in this field, as well as the field of physical therapy, in order
assist in client advancement and growth. The traditional method being discussed is Proprioceptive
Neuromuscular Facilitation also known as PNF and the contemporary technique is Kinesio Taping.
These techniques and methods came about for the same purpose, and that is to ultimately help both the
Practitioners and of course clients they work with. The background of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular
Facilitation (PNF) is traced back to the late 1940s/early 1950s with Herman Kabat (MD), Margaret
Knott (PT), and Dorothy Voss (PT) being the developers of this method. PNF was developed to treat
neurological dysfunctions (such as multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy) . This was an attempt to gain
better control in a population of neurologically impaired instead of just offering the standard treatment
at the time which was range of motion exercising and gate belt training (Knott and Voss, 1968). Even
though PNF was developed for neurological dysfunctions overtime it also became principle used in
others areas of life such as with athletes and personal/physical trainers. The common misconception

The Development Of The Abrahamic Religions Over Time Is
The development of the Abrahamic religions over time is due to the splintering and the beliefs of
many people concerning the deity status of some of the profits, this leads to a differing in the value
placed upon the teachings of said profits. The development of Catholicism and Islam led to the
differing in opinion on many issues and the religious commentary provided by St. Augustine in
Confessions and in the Islamic religious text, the Qur an. These texts, both deal with many particular
topics that overlap a particularly decisive subject is that of human nature and this is down to tone key
concept that is central to many discussions and explanation in both texts, Original sin. The existence
of original sin is central to many religions and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The explanation given by Augustine is that these are clear examples of original sin and the inherent
nature of humans since as children begin to age these behaviors slowly dwindle and become almost
nonexistent in adults as in normal society such actions would be looked upon harshly. Yet we look
leniently on such things, not because they are not faults, or even small faults, but because they will
vanish as the years pass. For, although we allow for such things in an infant, the same things could not
be tolerated patiently in an adult. (Augustine). The reverence in the text is apparent when Augustine
states that this is clearly by a divine creation and although sin is a human creation, humans gain
wholeness and purity by following the scriptures. Then Augustine continues by begging forgiveness
for that portion of his life, but feels the responsibility for this lies with no one, as he had no
consciousness of his wrongdoing. This is a belief that holds strong today in the Catholic Church and
draws to the original commentary of Augustine. The ideology has developed over time and modern
teaching states that it has no discernable trait, for example, temper tantrums, but instead is the lack of
holiness gained by those who seek it in baptism. Although it is proper to each individual, original sin
does not have the character of a personal fault in any of Adam s descendants. It is a

Analyzing the Fiscal Budget of the City of Ukiah and...
Introduction
This paper will analyse the 2013/14 Fiscal budgets the City of Ukiah and California City. I will
attempt to examine the similarities and differences of both these cites revenue and expenditure line
items in their budgets. The cities are similar in that they generate revenue from many of the same
resources and they have similar expenditures in their annual fiscal budget. However, the cities budgets
strategies are different because both these cities demographics, social, economic, political platform,
and historical characteristics guide both cities elected official s decisions during the budget process.
History
California City was incorporated on December 8, 1965 (City of California, 2013). Before the City was
incorporated, it was transformed from a vast area of natural desert and farmland open space, into a
new kind of living environment. In 1776, the first explorers in the City of California were Paiute
Indians under leadership of Father Francisco Grarces. During this time, the Conquistadores are
believed to have hired Paiute Indians to help conduct mining operations in the territory.
At the end of the century, sheep farming began at the Conklin Ranch, and today, this ranch is located
in the central portion of the City. Later, in the 1900s, the city was ineffective in its attempt to
manufacture cotton and grow alfalfa. In 1958, private land development activities begun when a group
of developers started purchasing land in the eastern portion of the city. By the

European Indians And American Colonists
The moment when Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas was the beginning of the
interactions between American Indians and European colonists. These very first interactions were
mostly positive due to the the generosity of the Indians but turned violent when the Europeans began
to mistreat, kidnap, enslave, and kill the American Indians. Actions taken by the American Indians and
European Colonists, especially actions of violence, during the 1600s caused the relationship between
the two parties to be negative and conflicting in New England and Chesapeake. In New England, John
Winthrop began conflicts early when he declared that the Indians had only a natural right to their land
and no legal right. The Puritans and Pequot Indians lived side by side with relative peace until an
attack was launched upon the Narraganset Indians. Not many people were killed and the Narragansets
did not fight back, but when the Puritans attacked the Pequot Indians, they fought back. The Pequot
War was one of large massacres, rather than battles, from both sides and had many deaths. Mason
proposed to avoid attacking Pequot warriors, which would have overtaxed his unseasoned, unreliable
troops. Battle, as such, was not his purpose. Battle is only one of the ways to destroy an enemy s will
to fight. Massacre can accomplish the same end with less risk, and Mason had determined that
massacre would be his objective (Jennings). The Europeans raided the Pequot village and burned all of

The Noble Knight In Thomas Malory s Morte Darthur
During Malory s Morte Darthur , the noble knights such as Lancelot, Gawain, Agravain, and Gareth
represent the ideals of knightliness. Malory seems to be implying that Sir Lancelot although King
Arthur s biggest betrayer was still the noblest of knights despite his adultery. Sir Lancelot during the
story is portrayed as the measure in which all knights worth is metered by. As just a knight Lancelot is
held as the man of which many worship, slightly more than even King Arthur, making Lancelot the
main idol of the text. Being a knight nobility, honor, and worship was an imperative skill in the role of
leadership, for a leader often were those who had proven themselves on and off the battlefield. For
others to look over Sire Lancelot and Queen Guinevere s secret affair insinuates that they respected Sir
Lancelot more than King Arthur. In Sir Thomas Malory s Morte Darthur the implication of the story is
that honor is obtained by holding up to the responsibilities one may have more so than relationships
they are involved in. Sir Agravain and Sir Mordred brought the Queen and Sir Lancelot s affair up
amongst the group of knights. To a reader, it shows a semi dislike to Sir Lancelot that they both would
make such noise over this. Sir Gawain reminds them both that they, must remember how often time
Sir Lancelot hath rescued the King and Queen (483). Gawain looks to Sir Lancelot as an honorable
knight disbelieving that his fellow knights would accuse him of such accusations.

Argumentative Essay On The Raisin In The Sun
During the 1920s, a mass movement in the African American culture occurred. It took place in
Harlem, New York, in which there was a culture, social, and artistic outburst. This was the movement
called the Harlem Renaissance. During this movement, many African American artists rose up. This
included Langston Hughes, a poet, and Lorraine Hansberry, a writer. When Hansberry moved to
Harlem, she became very good friends with Langston Hughes. In 1951, when Langston Hughes
published his Dream Deferred poem, Hansberry was inspired by it and wrote a play based on it called
Raisin in the Sun. In her play, Raisin in the Sun, Hansberry uses Mama, Ruth, and Walter to show the
negative consequences that occur when you put off tour dream. First, Hansberry uses Mama to show
the negative consequences that occur when you put off your dream. Mama, also known as Lena
Younger, is the mother of Walter and Ruth and the wife of Big Walter. She is a proud woman who is a
devoted Christian and walks with dignity. Her children are her life and all her dreams are motivated by
them. Mama s dream was to buy a two story house with Big Walter, her husband. She wanted to move
out of the apartment within a year of when Big Walter and she moved into there. She dreamed of
getting a house and having her own little garden in the back. Mama says, We was going to set aways
little by little, don t you know, and buy a little place out in Morgan Park. We had even picked out the
house... all the dreams I had bout

Summary Of The Nacirema Culture
This article starts by stating that it is going to describe the magical beliefs and practices of the
Nacirema people and it seemingly does just that (Miner). The normality of the American way of living
is removed and just the facts are left to be described as a seemingly different culture. Upon rereading,
there are many facts that show the reader that the author is talking about Americans, but they are
easily skimmed over with the guise that this is some other culture. For Example, the author even states
that the Nacirema live in North America between Canada and Mexico (Miner). He even goes on to tell
the reader about their cultural hero Notgnihsaw, which is Washington spelled backwards, and
mentions his feat of cutting down a cherry tree (Miner). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Miner briefly mentions that the Nacirema are obsessed with the economy and economic pursuits but
the bulk of the information is bases on the rituals of their bodies. Miner states that the belief of these
people is that the human body is ugly and prone to disease. The only way to combat this idea is to
perform rituals and ceremonies (Miner). The next thing described is a bathroom or the shrine in which
the rituals are performed. He talks about how houses can be valued by how many bathrooms it has,
and how the walls of bathrooms are normally much nicer than the walls everywhere else in the house.
Miner finishes that section by stating that every family has at least one shrine and everyone in the
family performs an individual ritual that they learned at young

The Rise Of A New Leader, Adolf Hitler, And His Party
American author and writer Paul Auster once said; The world is so unpredictable. Things happen
suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we are in control of our own existence. In some ways we are,
in some ways we re not. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence. The early 1930s
continued to be a time of worldwide economic depression and the lasting humiliation of being
defeated earlier in World War I caused a lack of confidence in Germany s weak government. Due to
these conditions, Germans were desperate for the leadership of one who would turn their country
around. This provided the chance for the rise of a new leader, Adolf Hitler, and his party, the National
Socialist German Workers Party. An unemployed soldier after fighting in World War I, Hitler engaged
himself as a politically active individual joining the Nazi Party. Shortly after joining, Hitler proved to
be such a powerful public speaker and organizer that he quickly became the party s leader. Calling
himself Der Fuhrer the Leader he promised to bring Germany out of chaos (the book). As part of the
Nazi Party, Hitler implemented government policies based on anti Semitism and racism. Nazism,
which is a specific type of fascism, believed in a superior race; Germans especially blue eyed, blond
haired Aryans formed a master race that was destined to rule the world. Inferior races, such as Jews,
Slavs, and all nonwhites, were deemed fit only to serve the Aryans (the book). From 1919

Memory and Reality in Tennessee Williams The Glass Menagerie
Memory and Reality in Tennessee Williams The Glass Menagerie
Being a memory play, it is dimly lighted, it is sentimental, it is not realistic . To what degree is the
play memory and to what degree is it realistic?
When a play employs unconventional techniques, it is not trying to escape its responsibility of dealing
with reality, or interpreting experience, but is actually attempting to find a closer approach, a more
penetrating and vivid expression of things as they are (Tennessee Williams). The Glass Menagerie is
one of Tennessee Williams most eminent works and no doubt qualifies as a classic of the modern
theater. Often referred to as a memory play , both the style and content of ... Show more content on

Despite being a memory play , the basis and content of The Glass Menagerie is truth and reality as
Williams attempts to find a closer approach, a more penetrating and vivid expression of things as they
are . This basis of reality is evident in the play s setting, as The Glass Menagerie is presented with
great fidelity to the social and historical realities of the time. This is demonstrated from the play s
beginning as Tom reverses time to that quaint period, the thirties , and juxtaposes the turmoil in Spain
to the uneasy peace in America, in an allusion to the forthcoming war (World War II). There are other
allusions to the war throughout the play, such as in Tom s closing speech as he claims the world is lit
by lightning . It is clear that the historical realities of the time are effectively conveyed in the play,
although it is not only the war related realities of the time that Williams highlights.
Williams presentation of the social realities of the period is clear with the bleak lower middle class life
in America, portrayed by the Wingfield family. This is most evident in the way that Laura, Amanda
and Tom each develop their own methods of

Outline For Women In Ministry Research Paper
THESIS: Should women be permitted to lead religious worship, such as music; should women be
permitted to be a pastor; should women be allowed to hold a high administrative office; should
women be allowed to serve and care for others? Women are human beings, and all humans were
created to serve each other; however, mankind may have culturally set barriers and limitations on
women which would not benefit women to serve in certain roles.

There are various views of women in ministry. Some of these views are very conservative while others
are very liberal and then there are those that trail the middle of the road. There are three major views,
The most conservative view is the traditional view. The traditionalists believe that male and female
were created differently and should hold different roles. They hold strong to Genesis 3:16, Your desire
will be for your husband, and he will rule over you . Another Scripture that this group uses is
1Timothy 2:12, I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man, she must be quiet
(Calagna, Paragraph 4). The second view that is a little less traditional is the complimentarian view or
male leadership view. This view does believe both male and female were created in the image of God,
but the male is still in authority. The women are permitted to teach other women, children, and
sometimes males if they are under the authority of male leadership (Calagna, Paragraph 5). The third
view is pluralism. Those who believe this view understand that at creation Adam and Eve shared equal
authority and submitted to each other. It was the disobedience in the garden that brought about the
curse in which females had to start submitting to males. When Jesus died on the cross, this curse was
broken. Therefore, ministry does not depend on gender but it depends on one s ability and gifts given
from God. (Calagna, Paragraph 1) The view that a person

Comparison Matrix Paper
Introduction
Today s economy is changing, not only in this country, but around the world as well. People today are

be one of the most stressful times of a person s life. However, there is another issue in regarding to
today s workforce. We can assume that most of us have experienced some type of bullying while in
our younger years. Unfortunately, bullying exists in one s adulthood as well, especially within the

personalities, while looking at the relationships between exposures to negative acts and self labeling
bullying. In article three by Glaxo, Matthisen, Nielsen and Einarsen (2007) studied the differences in
personalities between groups of bullied victims and non bullied victims, while focusing on the terms
of personality of the victims of workplace bullying. Of all of these studies, we will analyze and make
comparisons of each specific section and make an overall conclusion about bullying within the
workplace.
A. Comparison of Research Questions posed for the studies:
According to Hauge et al. (2009), a growing body of research during the last couple of decades has
shown a range of work related factors to be related to exposure to workplace bullying, while
considerably less attention has been devoted seeking to explain why perpetrators engage in bullying
(p. 349). With having limited empirical knowledge that exists on perpetrators of workplace bullying,
they addressed this gap in workplace bullying research by investigating individual and situational
factors that may encourage individuals to become perpetrators of bullying at work. Therefore, the
authors asked what individual and

The Two Eras of Globalization and Trade
Globalization and Trade: Since the mid of the Nineteenth century particularly after the end of the cold
war, Globalization has become the catchphrase that attracts everybody. However Globalization is a
complex concept to be defined, there are many different definitions of Globalization. According to
Thomas Friedman in his book The Lexus and the Olive Tree, he defined Globalization in terms of
PARADIGM SHIFTS as the follow: it is the inevitable integration of markets, nation states and
technologies to a degree never witnessed before in a way that is enabling individuals, corporations and
nation states to reach around the world farther, faster, deeper and cheaper than ever before and in a
way that is enabling the world to reach into individuals, corporations and nation states farther, faster,
and deeper, cheaper than ever before. Moreover, Globalization is represented in two eras. First, which
started in the mid of the nineteenth century and ended with the start of the World War I (WWI), and
the Second era began in the aftereffects of the World War II (WWII) and still continuous until today.
The Two eras of Globalization were described by increased cooperation and integration in trade,
smooth capital flows and free movement of labors. In another words, under the umbrella of
Globalization, any product that has been manufactured in somewhere in the globe could easily finds
its way into the market in another part of the world. In addition, since this process became the

I felt none of those cliché feelings that fairytales make us believe we are supposed to feel when we see

my shoulder to lean on in times of stress. He became my best friend and my biggest supporter. Zirren

him I wanted to lose weight he was right there by my side. At our old high school whenever we didn t

was there motivating and pushing me whenever I felt like it was too much. He would tell him how
proud he was of my progress. Even now in college we both go to different schools, but he s still
supporting me from a distance. Whenever I m in the rec center working out I can hear his voice in my
head saying, You got this Babygirl! If anything it pushes me more and makes me want to work harder.
Zirren has always supported me from an academic point of view as well. We pretty much had all our
main classes together so whenever there was something I didn t understand he would explain it to me.
He was my own little tutor. When we were graduating I was named Valedictorian. So I had to write
my Valedictorian Speech. I had no help, no guidlunes to go by, nobody to assist me in the revising and
editing of it. Zirren stepped in and did all of that for me. Because Of him I was able to deliver I
wonderful speech. I don t think he ll ever understand how much his support and love has means to me.

Explain Why Graffiti Is Vandalism
In many people s eyes, there are two types of graffiti. Tagging and masterpieces. Tagging can be
anything from people names, to their gang names , or anything meaningless, and random.
Masterpieces are well thought out and have many meaning behind it. Tagging or a masterpieces
graffiti is vandalism. Graffiti is vandalism because it can be meaningless, it cost lots of money to fix if
it illegal, and some of it can be inappropriate. The first reason graffiti is vandalism is because most of
it is pointless. In the video Graffiti: Art or Vandalism it states, some of the things put on the walls are
meaningless some say it shit on the wall (Graffiti: Art or Vandalism, 2013). When people say it is
meaningless they are talking about the taggings. It is just a name or sign that is meaningless. The
second reason graffiti is vandalism is because it cost a lot of money to fix up if it is illegal. In many
places where people put their graffiti, it is illegal which means it ... Show more content on

graffiti art is not appropriate. As stated in the video Graffiti: Art or Vandalism it says 35% of the
graffiti is not appropriate ( Graffiti: Art or Vandalism, 2013). Graffiti can be seen by anyone at any age
and it is not ok for anyone to see something inappropriate in the public eye. If it is not appropriate then

Psycho-American War
The Russo Japanese war began on February 8th, 1904 when the Japanese launched a surprise attack on
the Russian fleet and ended September 5th, 1905 with the treaty of Portsmouth led by Theodore
Roosevelt. The war had a substantial effect on both of its participants, the Russians and the Japanese,
but first this essay will talk about the events leading up to it, such as the Russian encroachment. In
1898 the Chinese and Russians finally negotiated a convention after three months by which china
would lease to Russia Port Arthur in Talianwan, a tremendously strategic point which would be Russia
s sole warm water port on the coast of the pacific, and its surrounding waters. Immediately after their
agreement, Russia took no time in occupying the Port. A year later, Russia began to build the southern
Manchurian railroad to further consolidate their position at Port Arthur. The building of the railroad
led to be one of the causes of the Boxer rebellion. Because of the Boxer rebellion, the uprising of a
secret organization in china against the spread of western and Japanese influence there, the Russians
and Japanese had both contributed troops along with Britain, Austria Hungary, The United States,
India, Germany, France, and Italy to quell the uprisings and to relieve the international ligations under

Private Prisons Vs. Federal Prisons
Private prisons are supposedly more cost effective than state or federal prisons. Or that is what their
representatives say. But regardless of whether they save money or not, are they truly beneficial for our
communities? This article hopes to break down some of the myths these private prison corporations
have used to push their agenda and discuss how that is far from the case. By doing so, the reader can
form his/her own conclusions on how pervasive and detrimental private prisons have become within
our communities. Additionally, by informing as many people as possible about the harmful effects of
privatizing the correctional system in our nation, we can soon hope to address some of the emerging
problems such as our increased prison populations, endangerment of prisoners staff personnel, and
whether it truly is cost effective.
However, before we can dive into the dilemmas that the prison industrial complex created we must
first define what they are and how did they originate within our country. First, the private prison
system is not a new phenomenon. Although the first appearances of these facilities are not the ones we
think of today, the private sector s involvement in incarcerating people emerged in the early eighteenth
century. These privately operated facilities, in part, gained popularity because they used the prisoners
as laborers, artisans, and other needed occupations in the community. By the mid nineteenth century,
providers constructed the modern private

This type of exploitation of web browser technology poses a persistent vulnerability in network security, and for that reason it is important that employees do not become the victim of such an attack. According to Will Dormann and Jason Rafail, Not securing your web browser can lead quickly to a variety of computer problems caused by anything from spyware being installed without your knowledge to intruders taking control of your computer (2008). After this phase of the investigation was completed, the targets were interviewed for their input on why the penetration testers were successful or failed to obtain sensitive information. The risk of a breach due to an insider is something that Cybercom must consider and have measures in place for. Some of the vulnerabilities associated with an insider attach include the setting up of a rogue access point and the use of thumb drives. A rogue WiFi access point setup near an external wall could be used to access the network from outside the facility, and thumb drives can be used to steal data, keeping it in a small, easy to conceal medium. According to Kelly Jackson Higgins, The difference with insiders is they can inflict measurable financial, measurable IP, measurable brand and reputation damage more so than an outsider can (2012). Did AirTex need a new control system at the time of the takeover? * The management system that was in place was one woman who magically kept everything in her head. There was limited and almost incomprehensible formal system. Sarah Arthur, the company s accountant, had complete autonomy over the company s information, and she kept this information private. * AirTex was in need of a more formalized accounting system, since accounting was a central department of the company, and profitability was a key measure to ensure the success of the company at the time of the takeover. * Also, Ted and Frank had plans to dispose of Sarah Arthur, who was acting manager upon their arrival. However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, Frank and Ted provided an environment that was encouraging and supportive. Ted chose to be an emotional leader as opposed to a task leader . He also set up his office with a blackboard to accommodate teaching. This encouraged managers to seek him for advice when they encountered a problem and he was willing to provide mentoring and training. • 4. The Incident Of My Mini Experiment The incident My opportunity to practice or implement my mini experiment when I was called in to a meeting with the General Manager and several other staff. The goal was to review a major situation where key components were not in stock. Resulting in the business not being able to function correctly until resolved. My goal in relation to my mini experiment, was to remain engaged in the meeting and not allow my default routine of mentally withdrawing and shutting down to take place for as long as possible. Incident insights The meeting was heading for a finger pointing session this struck me of the chronically defeated team (Tyson 2010), and how this leads to poor team performance. This is holding my breath for a three count, in order to stop my mouth from making comments I regret. Instead allowing my mind to think of solutions or options to remain actively engaged in the meeting and not withdraw into myself. When the time came I took the opportunity and employed the circuit breaker. Experiment outcomes, the good The impact this had on the tone of the meeting was noticeable. It became apparent to me the General Manager was expecting me to behave the way I had previously, having my mini meltdown. When it became apparent I was not, and able to progress the conversation past the usual point he appeared to be visible thrown by this. I felt he had already planned the exchange in his mind before walking into the meeting. This had an unforeseen side effect as the General Manager had lost control of the meeting and I was now effectively running it. We were able to address the immediate issue and form action points to move forward. This is an example of me being able to influence in real time in order to achieve positive goals for myself and others. Somehow I had managed to remain detached yet engaged (Hughes 2015) resulting in a more productive experience. Experiment outcomes, the bad The next steps in the meeting was when I was unsuccessful in delaying my default routine. I relinquished control of proceedings back to the General Manager. • 6. Explanation Of Solubility Research What is solubility? Solubility is a chemical property referring to the ability for a given substance, the solute, to dissolve in a solvent. (Science Daily, 2014) Solubility occurs around people throughout their everyday life, and is exemplified through their food and drinks, and even the air that surrounds them. Solubility is a complex idea that can be understood in a simpler form, i.e., having hot coffee and adding sugar to it. It appears that the hot coffee melts the salt, but deeper beyond the surface the hot coffee molecules break apart the sugar molecules; the molecules are broken down, because of the increase in temperature that causes the molecules to collide harder. The collision is caused by the faster, vibrating molecules in the solution. The solute (salt) is the substance that dissolves in the solvent (water) and it depends on a few things: temperature, volume, type of solvent and concentration. The solubility of most salts can be found on a solubility curve and it expresses the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second law of thermodynamics is a general principle that expresses how some solutes dissolve in decreased temperatures, because it places constraints upon the direction of heat transfer and the attainable efficiencies of heat engines (R Nave). In other words, in all energy exchanges if no energy enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the state will always be less than that of the initial state. (Farabee, 2010) The second law is commonly known as the law of increased entropy, a measure of unusable energy within a closed or isolated system and it is a system of chaos. (All about science, 2002) The kinetic energy of the solution increases with the temperature and it allows the particles to slide between each other; It can be understood by imagining a vibrating molecule engulfing a regular molecule and breaking it ... • 7. The Workplace Conditions And Safety Climate Related... The workplace conditions and safety climate related programmes, especially in emerging industrial countries, are remained poorly neglected (Bosak, Coetsee, Cullinane, 2013) . For instance, Indonesia as an emerging country has three major issues regarding safety climate, including labour market, security and quality of the working environment issues, such as poorly paid salary and wages, long working hours, accidents, etc. (OECD, 2014). In fact, Jamsostek (2013) reports that work accidents in Indonesia has been increasing to one point seventy six percent per year (p.82). For example, in 2013 there were 103.285 accidents or 283 accidents per day with a total claim of 563.44b rupiah or equivalent to US$ 56.344m (Jamsostek, 2013, p. 110). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Accordingly, employee s safety issue is not only related to physical factor but also psychological factors. Hence, it may argue that working environments may relate to psychological safety of the employees (Law, Dollard, Tuckey, Dormann, 2011). Furthermore, several authors have argued that psychological safety of the employees may have an impact on other factors, such as employee s efficacy (Al Refaie, 2013; Chen Chen, 2014; Christian, Bradley, Wallace, Burke, 2009) and performance (Baer Frese, 2003; A. Carmeli Gittell, 2009; Edmondson, 1999). For example, when an employee has got unsafe condition at work psychologically, it will affect his/her self confidence to perform the job effectively and indeed, it may affect the performance of the company. Hence, it may argue that these three factors (i.e. psychological safety, self efficacy and performance) are related. Although there has been increasing focus on studying Psychological safety (Amponsah Tawiah et al., 2013; Brown Leigh, 1996; Edmondson, 1999; Kahn, 1990; May, Gilson, Harter, 2004; Tynan, 2005), self efficacy (Bandura, 1982; Elias, Barney, Bishop, 2013; Jones, 1986; Riggs Knight, 1994; Wang, Tsai, Tsai, 2014) and organisational performance (Abraham Carmeli Tishler, 2004; Meglio Risberg, 2011) albeit disjointedly, however, a number of questions about the ... Back in my country, my parents always take me to those places on the weekend and the passion of watching arts and crafts grew inside me since then. I first explored Bellevue Art Museum a few weeks ago when my friend said there is a really fascinating exhibition about modern sculpture as well as china painting materials. An example for this can be found in Romeo and Juliet when Mercutio says At this same ancient feast of Capulet s sups the fair Rosaline whom thou so loves, with all the admirèd beauties of Verona. Go thither, and with unattainted eye compare her face with some that I shall show, and I will make thee think thy swan a crow. (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 1). This quote tell us that Mercutio is telling Romeo to go to the feast and compare Rosaline with the other girls, and that when he does, he will find that she is not as beautiful as the others. This is important to the story as it establishes that Mercutio does not want Romeo to be sad about Rosaline, so he tells him to find someone else. Another example of Philia can be found in the popular childrens novel Charlotte s Web. In Charlotte s Web, E.B White writes Why did you do all this for me? he asked. I don t deserve it. I ve never done anything for you. You have been my friend, replied Charlotte. That in itself is a tremendous thing. (E.B. White 164). This quote shows that Charlotte loved Wilbur and helped him out of friendship. Court Ruling: Stratton argued that liabilities are to be imposed on Prodigy as it exerted editorial control over messages by 1. Posting content information instructions for its users. 2. • 12. Natalie Portman For Dior Analysis This photo of Natalie Portman for Dior is a good example of Photoshop. Her eyelashes were admittedly Photoshopped when questioned by the ASA* of the U.K. who refused to allow the Dior ad to publish in their country. Celebs use it all the time to create that perfect other worldly look to their bodies and faces. Sometimes that is a bad thing though. So many women have lower self esteem due to this simple smoke and mirrors effect of Photoshop. What I find interesting is America is very pro Photoshop in nearly every single magazine, ad, etc. However in the U.K. you will often see people without any editing done to their faces. It is such a stark contrast. I think it s better to have natural faces in magazines so we all know ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Finally I look to my right at my final judge, he simply winks at me. I close my eyes and count to three. It s finally time to begin; this is my time. These next three minutes everyone has to listen to me and my opinion. I open my mouth, but the only thought going through my head is, why? Why am I doing this? Why am I here? Why did I make this mistake? It was the first day of English class and the teacher asked, who here has ever given a class presentation before? I looked around hoping, praying, that someone else is like me. However fate was not on my side. Every hand in the class was proudly raised high and I was all alone on my little island of fear. The teacher looked directly at me and asked why I had not ever done a presentation. I m a clicker, I mumbled, it was barely audible but the teacher heard it and his face softened. Well Mr. Peschansky it s time you become a talker. A psychological study done in the early 70 s found that people are more afraid of public speaking then of death. Standing at the front of the room in my first debate tournament I realize just how true that is. All I can hear is my heart hammering away in my chest, my legs feel like they are going to give and I m shaking all over. I never opened my mouth when I was in grade school. Kinesio Taping Phillip Jean Juste and Hakeem Johnson Kinesiology OTA 103 Lainisha McMiller Turner July 9, 2015 Occupational Therapy is a growing field; one that is constantly changing as technology becomes more advanced. There are different techniques and methods used in this field, as well as the field of physical therapy, in order assist in client advancement and growth. The traditional method being discussed is Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation also known as PNF and the contemporary technique is Kinesio Taping. These techniques and methods came about for the same purpose, and that is to ultimately help both the Practitioners and of course clients they work with. The background of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is traced back to the late 1940s/early 1950s with Herman Kabat (MD), Margaret Knott (PT), and Dorothy Voss (PT) being the developers of this method. PNF was developed to treat neurological dysfunctions (such as multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy) . This was an attempt to gain better control in a population of neurologically impaired instead of just offering the standard treatment at the time which was range of motion exercising and gate belt training (Knott and Voss, 1968). Even though PNF was developed for neurological dysfunctions overtime it also became principle used in others areas of life such as with athletes and personal/physical trainers. The explanation given by Augustine is that these are clear examples of original sin and the inherent nature of humans since as children begin to age these behaviors slowly dwindle and become almost nonexistent in adults as in normal society such actions would be looked upon harshly. Yet we look leniently on such things, not because they are not faults, or even small faults, but because they will vanish as the years pass. For, although we allow for such things in an infant, the same things could not be tolerated patiently in an adult. (Augustine). The reverence in the text is apparent when Augustine states that this is clearly by a divine creation and although sin is a human creation, humans gain wholeness and purity by following the scriptures. Then Augustine continues by begging forgiveness for that portion of his life, but feels the responsibility for this lies with no one, as he had no consciousness of his wrongdoing. This is a belief that holds strong today in the Catholic Church and draws to the original commentary of Augustine. The ideology has developed over time and modern teaching states that it has no discernable trait, for example, temper tantrums, but instead is the lack of holiness gained by those who seek it in baptism. Although it is proper to each individual, original sin does not have the character of a personal fault in any of Adam s descendants. It is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will attempt to examine the similarities and differences of both these cites revenue and expenditure line items in their budgets. The cities are similar in that they generate revenue from many of the same resources and they have similar expenditures in their annual fiscal budget. However, the cities budgets strategies are different because both these cities demographics, social, economic, political platform, and historical characteristics guide both cities elected official s decisions during the budget process. History California City was incorporated on December 8, 1965 (City of California, 2013). Before the City was incorporated, it was transformed from a vast area of natural desert and farmland open space, into a new kind of living environment. In 1776, the first explorers in the City of California were Paiute Indians under leadership of Father Francisco Grarces. During this time, the Conquistadores are believed to have hired Paiute Indians to help conduct mining operations in the territory. At the end of the century, sheep farming began at the Conklin Ranch, and today, this ranch is located in the central portion of the City. Later, in the 1900s, the city was ineffective in its attempt to manufacture cotton and grow alfalfa. These very first interactions were mostly positive due to the the generosity of the Indians but turned violent when the Europeans began to mistreat, kidnap, enslave, and kill the American Indians. Actions taken by the American Indians and European Colonists, especially actions of violence, during the 1600s caused the relationship between the two parties to be negative and conflicting in New England and Chesapeake. In New England, John Winthrop began conflicts early when he declared that the Indians had only a natural right to their land and no legal right. The Puritans and Pequot Indians lived side by side with relative peace until an attack was launched upon the Narraganset Indians. Not many people were killed and the Narragansets did not fight back, but when the Puritans attacked the Pequot Indians, they fought back. The Pequot War was one of large massacres, rather than battles, from both sides and had many deaths. Mason proposed to avoid attacking Pequot warriors, which would have overtaxed his unseasoned, unreliable troops. Battle, as such, was not his purpose. Battle is only one of the ways to destroy an enemy s will to fight. Massacre can accomplish the same end with less risk, and Mason had determined that massacre would be his objective (Jennings). Malory seems to be implying that Sir Lancelot although King Arthur s biggest betrayer was still the noblest of knights despite his adultery. Sir Lancelot during the story is portrayed as the measure in which all knights worth is metered by. As just a knight Lancelot is held as the man of which many worship, slightly more than even King Arthur, making Lancelot the main idol of the text. Being a knight nobility, honor, and worship was an imperative skill in the role of leadership, for a leader often were those who had proven themselves on and off the battlefield. For others to look over Sire Lancelot and Queen Guinevere s secret affair insinuates that they respected Sir Lancelot more than King Arthur. In Sir Thomas Malory s Morte Darthur the implication of the story is that honor is obtained by holding up to the responsibilities one may have more so than relationships they are involved in. Sir Agravain and Sir Mordred brought the Queen and Sir Lancelot s affair up amongst the group of knights. To a reader, it shows a semi dislike to Sir Lancelot that they both would make such noise over this. Sir Gawain reminds them both that they, must remember how often time Sir Lancelot hath rescued the King and Queen (483). It took place in Harlem, New York, in which there was a culture, social, and artistic outburst. This was the movement called the Harlem Renaissance. During this movement, many African American artists rose up. This included Langston Hughes, a poet, and Lorraine Hansberry, a writer. In 1951, when Langston Hughes published his Dream Deferred poem, Hansberry was inspired by it and wrote a play based on it called Raisin in the Sun. • 26. The Rise Of A New Leader, Adolf Hitler, And His Party American author and writer Paul Auster once said; The world is so unpredictable. Things happen suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we are in control of our own existence. In some ways we are, in some ways we re not. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence. The early 1930s continued to be a time of worldwide economic depression and the lasting humiliation of being defeated earlier in World War I caused a lack of confidence in Germany s weak government. Due to these conditions, Germans were desperate for the leadership of one who would turn their country around. This provided the chance for the rise of a new leader, Adolf Hitler, and his party, the National Socialist German Workers Party. An unemployed soldier after fighting in World War I, Hitler engaged himself as a politically active individual joining the Nazi Party. Shortly after joining, Hitler proved to be such a powerful public speaker and organizer that he quickly became the party s leader. Calling himself Der Fuhrer the Leader he promised to bring Germany out of chaos (the book). As part of the Nazi Party, Hitler implemented government policies based on anti Semitism and racism. Nazism, which is a specific type of fascism, believed in a superior race; Germans especially blue eyed, blond haired Aryans formed a master race that was destined to rule the world. Despite being a memory play , the basis and content of The Glass Menagerie is truth and reality as Williams attempts to find a closer approach, a more penetrating and vivid expression of things as they are . This basis of reality is evident in the play s setting, as The Glass Menagerie is presented with great fidelity to the social and historical realities of the time. This is demonstrated from the play s beginning as Tom reverses time to that quaint period, the thirties , and juxtaposes the turmoil in Spain to the uneasy peace in America, in an allusion to the forthcoming war (World War II). There are other allusions to the war throughout the play, such as in Tom s closing speech as he claims the world is lit by lightning . It is clear that the historical realities of the time are effectively conveyed in the play, although it is not only the war related realities of the time that Williams highlights. Some of these views are very conservative while others are very liberal and then there are those that trail the middle of the road. There are three major views, The most conservative view is the traditional view. The traditionalists believe that male and female were created differently and should hold different roles. They hold strong to Genesis 3:16, Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you . Another Scripture that this group uses is 1Timothy 2:12, I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man, she must be quiet (Calagna, Paragraph 4). The second view that is a little less traditional is the complimentarian view or male leadership view. This view does believe both male and female were created in the image of God, but the male is still in authority. The women are permitted to teach other women, children, and sometimes males if they are under the authority of male leadership (Calagna, Paragraph 5). The third view is pluralism. Those who believe this view understand that at creation Adam and Eve shared equal authority and submitted to each other. It was the disobedience in the garden that brought about the curse in which females had to start submitting to males. When Jesus died on the cross, this curse was broken. Therefore, ministry does not depend on gender but it depends on one s ability and gifts given from God. (Calagna, Paragraph 1) The view that a person ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
