Dry Dog Protein
Your dog is a valued member of your family and one you want to keep healthy. If you decide to put
your furry friend on a vegan diet, it s important to make sure you re meeting all of his nutritional
needs a task cricket protein can help with.
Protein
Just like people, dog s need a certain amount of protein in their diet. The Association of American
Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), the organization responsible for setting pet food standards, has
declared that dry dog food must be 18% protein while poppy food must be 22% protein. These
recommendations represent the minimum amount of protein allowed. Most experts, however, agree
that a food is best when it is between 25 and 30% protein.
While humans on a vegan diet can easily find foods that provide adequate protein, the task is more
difficult for dogs. Unlike humans, dogs have trouble fully ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A dog food which consists of 18% protein from meat may be adequate to meet your dog s protein
requirements, whereas a dog food which has 18% protein from corn may not be. When choosing
vegan dog food, choose options with higher protein percentages to compensate for the lower
assimilation of vegetable proteins. If you don t, you re likely to see signs of protein deficiency in your
dog, the first of which is usually a poor coat.
It s also important to note the poor digestibility of the grains on the above list. This makes it easy to
see why grain free diets are often attractive to dog owners, as well as vegan diets.
B Vitamins
Some B vitamins are found in plants, but there is no plant source of B 12 vitamins. This means you ll
have to supplement your vegan dog s diet, even if you re feeding her high quality foods. Cricket
protein is loaded with B 12 vitamins so you can add it to your dog s dish or provide treats that contain
this important supplement.

Music Literacy And Its Influence On Music
Although technique and natural talent are big factors in music performing, it is suggested that a major
skill needed for a developing music performer is the ability to sight read (Paul), which is an important
factor in acquiring and expanding music literacy (Gromko). However, music literacy is a
compositional ability that requires many different abilities (Gromko, Lehmann and Ericson).
In relation to studies on English literacy acquisition techniques, little research has been conducted on
music literacy. In what research has been done, it is shown that music literacy and sight reading ability
acquisition has not an exact pedagogical technique or theory (Hodges). Given this, a review that
examines the research of variables and predictors of sight reading abilities and music literacy
knowledge acquisition has yet to be done. The purpose of this review is to synthesize published
articles on the research of music literacy to help give a better perspective on the variables that affect
the acquisition of music reading skills. Experiments, a national survey, and general observations were
used in this review.
First, the techniques and observations that are used to teach music literacy to musicians will be
evaluated. Next, eye pattern movements that have been observed while reading music will be
reviewed. Lastly, variables that affect the acquisition of music literacy and the success of sight reading
will be introduced.
Teaching and Acquiring Music Literacy Over the years, many

Based on one customer s review in Stop and Shop blog, the scanner system sometimes scan a product
twice or does not scan (Wandzilak, 2008). In our system, if the scanning result and the weight of the
product in the cart does not match, the system can tell through a message in the screen. Our system is
also equipped with a security gate which prevent people from leaving the store without paying.
Although RFID technology is implemented, this technology cannot tell whether the shoppers have
paid or not since as long as the shoppers have scanned the products, the magnetic chips on the
products are deactivated. So, security gate will give extra security to our customer. Also, a Stop and
Shop s customer complained about the high product price (due to the implementation of high scanner
technology) (Wandzilak, 2008). In our case, as we will sell a system globally to many stores, we have
the advantage of economic of scale that makes our system cheaper than their s (competitive price).
Additionally, we are going to use RFID system at the exit gate as well for the security reason (to avoid
shop lifting). Figure 2. How a Customer Shops in the Stop and Shop Grocery Store (Wandzilak, 2008)
3. Team Management After several discussions, we decided to form several departments based on our
expertise and experience. As one department cannot works by its own, these divisions are crucial to

Failure Of Appeasement Research Paper
Failure of Appeasement was the main reason WW2 occurred. How far do you agree?
The policy of appeasement was used between 1935 and 1939 by the League Of Nations towards Nazi
Germany. It involved making concessions to Germany, allowing Hitler to do things such as Anschluss
and invade the Sudetenland. Many historians, including Winston Churchill, critisied appeasement at
the time. One way in which Appeasement failed and contributed to the outbreak of WW2 was that it
encouraged Hitler to follow his expansionist policies (Lebensraum). This is shown by the risks Hitler
was taking, hoping no repurcussions would occur. One example of this the remiliterisation of the
Rhineland in March 1936 which, directly contradicting the terms laid out in the ... Show more content

The league was designed to democratically complete its main aims; enocouraging disarmament and
improving working conditions and upholding peace. The League failed in these aims and allowed
powerful nations to gain unlawful global strongholds. One example of this was the italian invasion of
Corfu in 1923, the League failed to enforce sanctions and allowed mussolini to demand compensation
and an apology from greece. Mussolini could see the League was weak and later invaded abysinnia in
1935. The league, once again, failed to act and the world lost confidence in its ability to keep it safe.
The nazi soviet pact was signed between germany and russia, agreeing to complete non aggression
and the divison of poland. This meant Hitler could focus on the western front and gave him
confidence in winning the war. This meant the likelyhood of war breaking out was massivly increased.
Overall, I believe the faliure of appeasement isnt the main reason for the outbreak of the second world
war because it bought Britain time to prepare for conflict. The failure of the League Of Nations to
prevent expansionist foreign powers was to blame. It didnt enforce sanctions on Italy, Germany and
Japan (as seen in the manchurian crisis) and allowed them to gain the confidence to begin the

Margaret Atwood s Duality
Margaret Eleanor Atwood popularly known as Margaret Atwood is a Canadian writer, poet, essayist,
literary critic and an environmental activist. She is has been awarded a number of prizes including the
Booker Prize, Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Governor General s Award, etc. In Violent Duality: A Study
of Margaret Atwood, Sherrill Grace wrote that Atwood s works are the pull towards art on one hand
and towards life on the other . She further explains that Atwood has always been well aware of her
subjects irrespective of its gender or type and thus always worked within them. One of the most
remarkable features of Atwood s poetry is the duality which is presented through separation, says The
Art of Margaret Atwood: Essays in Criticism. Atwood s work beautifully elaborated the idea of
alienation and the need for human communication. She tries to draw the attention of the audience
towards the need of a balanced society or a communicating structure for humans. The suffering in her
works, especially around the female character, was the result of her experience with the women who
generally suffered in some on the other way, she explained. Although she started as a political writer
but eventually turned towards writing the novels and poems in order to describe the world around her
in words. Atwood s most celebrated works ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Dorian Gray
The Picture of Dorian Gray If it were I who was to be young, and the picture that was to grow old! For
that for that I would give everything! Yes, there is nothing in the whole world I would not give! I
would give my soul for that! (p. 32, The Picture of Dorian Gray) After countless hours of meticulously
replicating the handsome man on the pedestal with delicate brushstrokes, Basil Hallward completes
yet another exceptional portrait. Dorian Gray s first glance at the masterpiece leaves him vacant and
speechless. The disheartened painter interprets this silence to be disappointment, but in actuality,
Dorian s mind is flourishing with sinister thoughts of envy and detestation toward the everlasting
youth the painting possesses. As the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His desires are slowly starting to make themselves known and we are able to watch how they
transform him into a monster. His premature realization that his beauty and youth will vanish is the
flashpoint that sparks his worry about what he should do in order to preserve it. The impending doom
of his mortality alters his character and his desperation is accompanied with anxiety. Dorian s
impulsive nature causes him to make a wish that is lacking in thought and realization of the
consequences that may result from it. The thought of eternal youth drives the young man mad and the
fact that he is unable to have it frustrates him to the extent that he is willing to give everything he has,
including his soul. This wish combined with the lengths he is willing to go to make it come true
foreshadow the deadly consequences that may result because of it. This quote speaks to me because it
gives insight into the heart of Dorian Gray and it reveals his true intentions. It unearths the fact that
Dorian Gray is more than an intelligent man with exceptional looks, but a narcissistic and egoistic
character with the desire for eternal youth who will take drastic measures to attain

Explain Some Of The Benefits A Student May Gain By...
Module 1 Reading/Discussion Questions Chapter 1 1. Explain some of the benefits a student may gain
by studying philosophy. A student may gain several benefits from studying philosophy. For instance,
students may learn how to evaluate arguments, analyze ideas and draw individual conclusions.
Philosophy teaches how to make judgements with precise evaluation based on ethics and morality,
taking under consideration all the factors that make an evaluation precise. This is useful because one
must have the capacity to analyze situations and develop a solution in the tribulations of life. Hence,
studying philosophy is beneficial regardless of major. 2. Explain the Socratic Method of Teaching. Is
this a useful way for students to learn? The Socratic Method of Teaching develops critical thinking. It
involves examination, analysis, evaluation, and a combination of thoughts and ideas. This is with the
purpose to bring questions into sharper focus and provide a foundation for the answers. It is a useful
way for students to learn because some situations in life will require careful analysis and evaluation in
order to make an executive decision, and the Socratic Method of Teaching provides the tools to do so.
3. Explain how critical thinking can be used to analyze a philosophical issue. In the book, critical
thinking is defined as the engagement of a thinker in rational deliberation, investigation of facts and
reasons, and the evaluation of arguments. By employing rational thinking, one is

Gold Rush Satire
In 1925, Charlie Chaplin created and starred in his own movie The Gold Rush. This movie is a
comical satire of the Gold Rush as well as a reflection of the general attitudes during The Great
Depression. The genre of film that The Gold Rush falls under is known as a silent film where there is
no dialogue. However, the music enhances the feelings and themes that Chaplin set to get across to his
audience. The attitude that Chaplin wanted the audience to grasp when he introduced his character, a
Lone Prospector, was clumsy and hopeful. This attitude was enhanced by the upbeat, cheerful music
playing each time the Lone Prospector was in a scene. Also, the Lone Prospector had some type of

A Comparison Between Elizabeth Bishop And James Wright

Poetry ENGL 345
29 October 2017
First Paper: Elizabeth Bishop, James Wright comparison As masters of imagery, both Elizabeth
Bishop and James Wright composed vivid poetry as a road map to a significant closing. Bishop and
Wright often opted to dramatic gestures or statements at the closing of their poems rather than the
predictable expected metaphor. Use of dramatization leaves the reader with complete understanding of
the narrative s key message. Replacing the metaphorical ending to rather be embedded in the deep
imagery of their work.

Bishop s The Fish and Wright s A Blessing are structured around metaphorical imagery to create
balance between beauty that is known and unknown. Both poems intentionally begin and end with
meticulous imagery for the reader to see through the story. Visionary insights of the speaker s
experience in each poem every step of the way builds the readers imagination.
The narrator of The Fish initially stresses to portray the fish as worn out comparing its skin to ancient
wall paper (Bishop 11). When the narrator caught the tremendous (Bishop 1) fish she observed he didn
t fight, but his gills fought the struggle to strain the terrible oxygen (Bishop 23) being in air. The
narrator illustrates visually dense phrases when comparing the fish eye to her own recognizing they
are larger than mine/ but shallower, and yellowed (Bishop 35 36). Not a shift in his eye then describes
his iris as seen through the lenses/ of old scratched isinglass (Bishop 40). Becomes an eye opening
moment for the speaker and even the boat, becoming a moment of empathy and understanding. I

political and economic situations from degrading agency and relationship to England. The Scottish

When Robert the Bruce ascended the throne in 1306 the defiance and animosity toward the English
became apparent with the battles and land claims. Bruce s ascension to the throne came at the murder
John Comyn in Greyfriars Church, Dumfries in February 1306. This incident before his crowning in
March which he was excommunicated by the Pope for the argument and killing of a Scottish noble in

approaches to gain power and reputation against other tribes and the quest to rule the kingdom of
Scotland. Sources under Robert the Bruce came to acknowledge the bias against William Wallace
similar to how the English pinned him as a robber, ruffian, and cruel leader of Independence. This
notion of the Bruce prejudices and censorship add to the negative perceptions toward the mythology
of Scottish leaders and their control over literature at the time of their reign. A series of military
victories between 1310 and 1314 won Bruce a majority of control over Scotland. The Battle of
Bannockburn in 1314 against the Edward II English forces solidified his position as the rightful king
of Scotland. The military victories fueled more intervention in other states on the British Isles with the

Inside Out Developmental Theory
The development of the human social behavior is dictated by a variety of factors. Essentially, these
factors act as the catalysts for the subsequent changes that are evident in the behavioral profile of a
given individual as he or she grows (Cavanaugh Blanchard Fields, 2015). In this regard, it is essential
to fathom the bio social development theories, developmental stages theories as well as the
development theories. To depict these behavioral changes, this paper will use the concept of the movie

The personality of Riley changes as a result of the reaction to the external environmental stimuli. This
is evident as she dislikes her new home as well as the imbalance of the memories as pushed by the
external stimuli. Such changes include the social life in San Francisco, the bad pizza, and lack of
compatible friends in her new school. Riley s life is a clear illustration of the developmental stage
theories. Ideally, these theories focus on the quantitative differences that are evident in the behavioral
changes in a child s development (Newman Newman, 2015). The life personality of Riley changed as
she grew in different stages. For instance, she developed her ice hockey skills from an amateur skill
stage to a more professional stage in her senior school stages. Additionally, her parents become less
attached to her as she grows older, thus assuming a more independent personality. The movie
illustrates practical behavioral changes that are evident in my life as well. For instance, the impact of
the bio social development is evident in the effect of environmental factors on the personality
development (Ellis Tucker, 2015). For instance, my relocation to a better neighborhood subjected me
to difficult socialization following the class difference. Additionally, my personality has changed
greatly as I grew older and more

The Great Commission Analysis
From the genesis of creation, God s mission is to motivate his creation (people) to work with the
resources he provides to bring forth new and good things and establish an order to a chaotic and
broken world. In fact, the world that God created is good, and when humans begin to work alongside
God in creation, things become very good (Genesis 1:31). Unfortunately, because of the fall of
humanity, God s creation strays away and falls short of God s original intent. As a result, the human
condition swings on a pendulum from good too bad while God s continues to reconcile humanity. God
first chose the nation of Israel, then sent Jesus and Jesus subsequent death and resurrection to continue
God s reconciliation in the world today. Additionally, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In each of these occurrences of the Greek word pas, there s some kind of categorical limitation.

mission with this understanding. I join God s mission with the lens seeing that every creature needs
hear the good news of Jesus saving work in the world. The importance of the word all should must be
accentuated in joining God in God s mission. My understanding is sculpted in my personal testimony.
Five generations before me, my family was brought to America as slaves. They labored in fields and
experienced less than human treatment and one can only imagine how hardened one s heart must have
been in light of the atrocities that brought them to America. My great great great grandfather Hope
Quick was one of those slaves on a plantation in Bennettsville, South Carolina. One night after
working in the fields, someone invited him a camp meeting where slaves were allowed to meet to hear
the gospel. In spite of his station as a slave, Bishop Francis Asbury preached that Jesus died so that all
might be saved. In that moment, he begin to cry and even though he was a slave he accepted the
gospel message and became a Christian; a follower of the way. It is through that missionary who
joined God in God s mission that the Quick family and future generations came to know Christ. This
experience profoundly shaped my understanding that all means all. My missiology is immersed in this
concept because scripture clearly says all. There are no limitations to God s saving grace and that
grace is for

Gun Laws And Gun Control
Body 1: England passed a law banning all handguns in 1997 following a school shooting(Malcolm).
However, in 2002, handgun crime has more than doubled by nearly thirty five percent since
then(Malcolm). There are two flaws in the idea that England s strict gun law is responsible for its low
levels of crime. First, violence and armed crime was low before gun controls were implemented.
Secondly, the long decline in the interpersonal violence ended in 1953, and violent crime has been
escalating ever since then, despite increasingly strict gun regulations(Malcolm). The first serious gun
control was imposed in 1920 not because of fear of crime, but rather due to fear of
revolution(Malcolm). In the beginning of World War I, the government faced massive labor
disruption, feared a Bolshevik revolution, and worried about the return of thousands of soldiers
brutalized by an especially ferocious war. The new act required a prospective gun owner to obtain a
certificate from the local police, who were responsible for determining whether the applicant was in
good standing for possession of a firearm. Parliament was assured that the sole intention of the law
was to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals and other dangerous persons.(Malcolm) Despite
the fact that laws were implemented to remove guns from citizens, crime still increased, and most of
the citizens had no way to defend themselves when held at range from a deadly combatant. Gun
Legislation in the United States has a long

Discussion Of Abraham s Argument Against Pharoah In...
In the readings about Sarah, Abraham requests of her that she claims to be his sister. In Genesis 12
when they go to Egypt this occurs. Abraham s request of this to Sarah demonstrates a way of men
viewing women more as property than as people because Abraham was worried about other men s
desires for his wife and willingness to kill him to win her. Abraham does not seem particularly
bothered that Pharaoh claims Sarah while they are there, but then God uses his power against Pharaoh
for being involved with Sarah, so Abraham s lack of action could represent his strength in his faith that
God would do what was best for him.
Sarah allowing her husband to have a child with their servant was incredibly selfless. It also showed

Criminal behaviour has been so constant in movies that are the following genre of a greater
understanding of crime in film: thriller, action, suspense, mystery, detective, prison, film noir and the
most modern heist. The crime genre started with one main sub genre, and that was the gangsta genre.
The crime genre appeals to a mainstream and diverse audiences because of all the elements of the
film. Firstly, the action elements of the films which include shoot outs and car chases appeal to the
mainstream audience. The action sequence are very important to the mainstream audience as they
want to see the spectacle .Secondly, the A list actors, who are attracted to the crime genre, make
certain people go want the movie for the star. Thirdly, the crime genre appeals to the diverse audience
are because there are other type of film if you don t like action, there is often a more complex

Scarlet Begonias/Fire on the Mountain Essay
Michael Peller has been a fan of the Grateful Dead for as long as he can remember. As a child, he
listened to their albums on cassette tapes in the car, and as a college student, he attended live
performances.
The Grateful Dead debuted in 1965 in Palo Alto, CA. It was known for its eclectic, psychedelic rock
style, which was sculpted amid the San Franciscan countercultural movement of the 1960s. The
movement gained speed alongside the civil rights movement and hippie culture. The Grateful Dead
embraced these new beliefs in their songwriting, rejecting common structure by adopting the jam
genre, which is based off of live improvisation.

70s. The song s story follows a young man, walking around the local square, who is entranced by a
young woman with scarlet begonias tucked into her curls (Grateful Dead). She also had rings on her
fingers and bells on her shoes, a line that has stuck with Mike because of how the image reminds him
of the 70s, and as an extension, the ideas of freedom and being carefree. Mike doesn t have much of
an opinion about the lyrics of Fire on the Mountain , but he does love the rhythm and the bass guitar
because it just makes anybody want to dance (Michael Peller). However, I found the lyrics to be
meaningful in ways related to Mike s enjoyment of the song. The line, fire, fire on the mountain , is
repeated throughout the song, and almost sounds like an urgent call for help. Despite this, the beat and
music rolls on. The song pokes fun at a long distance runner who continues to make and dance to

Capital Disciplinement And Capital Punishment

States there is no harsher discipline than death itself. 58 nations hone capital punishment. The United
States of America, is one of the 58. Starting at 2015 the United States will just utilize capital
punishment if indicted first degree kill. Some trust that death penalty will prevent killers. I will be
contending that capital punishment does not stop lawbreakers and that the United States ought to

Before I make my side of the contention, Here is some foundation data on the death penalty. The death
penalty was brought over from Britain, when the establishing fathers pronounced autonomy.
Europeans gave capital punishment for different violations. The primary recorded execution in
America happened in Jamestown, 1608. A man named George Kendall was executed for conspiracy.
In the prior provincial days, laws with respect to the death penalty differed relying upon the district
and the idea of the wrongdoing.
Amid the nineteen century, capital punishment changed drastically. Around this time capital
punishment began to lose prevalence. Expresses never again dedicated open executions. All
executions were done in private. Pennsylvania was the principal state to receive this pattern.
Inevitably a few states abrogated capital punishment all together. In current circumstances, fourteen

2012).
Omega 3, a polyunsaturated fatty acid, has various forms; Alpha Linolenic acid (ALA),
Docosahexanoic acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). DHA and EPA are essential fatty acids
meaning that our bodies are unable to endogenously synthesise them, leading us to source omega 3
enriched foods.
Link Between Omega 3 and Depression
The protective factor of omega 3 against cancer, heart disease and diabetes is well known but it is also
highly effective in preventing and managing depression.
Raeder, Steen, Vollset, and Bjelland s (2006) experimental study demonstrated that subjects who
regularly consumed cod liver oil, rich in omega 3, were 30% less likely to develop depressive
symptoms; however a causal link could not be made. A recent clinical trial discovered that omega 3
might improve mood in already depressed individuals (Hallahan, Hibbeln, Davis, Garland, 2007). The
trial reported that omega 3 supplementation achieved substantial reductions in surrogate markers of
suicidal behaviours and increases in wellbeing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s Sonnet 46
In Sonnet 46 of his works about the blond young man, William Shakespeare presents a unique view on
the classic debate about physical lust versus emotional love. The poet struggles to decide if his
feelings are based upon superficial desire and infatuation, represented by the eye (1), or true love
independent of the physical world, symbolized by the heart (1). With a deft movement from violent
imagery in the first two lines to the civilized language of law, Shakespeare dismisses the commonly
accepted view of a battle between the eye and the heart. The diction of warfare denotes two very
separate alien sides clashing in destructive confrontation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He even chooses to modify war (1) with the word mortal (1), signifying a conflict to the death with no
possibility for reconciliation or pacification. But in the next line he contradicts himself. Though the
poet continues to utilize martial imagery such as conquest (2), his choice of verbs subtly changes the
meaning. [D]ivide (2) suggests that both parties in the conflict will receive some portion of the prize,
an unlikely occurrence if the eye and heart are truly in mortal war (1). Shakespeare underscores this
change in direction by substituting a trochee for the standard iamb as the initial foot of the line.
Already, the poet is shifting focus away from the idea of warfare and onto the image of a courtroom.
The second quatrain completes that movement and establishes equality between the two sides. Words
of violence are conspicuously absent from this point on in the poem, replaced by legal vocabulary,
such as plead (5), deny (7), and lies (8). No longer bitter enemies, the eye and the heart become the
plaintiff and the defendant (7) in a civil dispute over the possession of Shakespeare s love. The diction
in this section of the poem also serves to contradict the traditional negative connotations of
infatuation. Physical attraction is often portrayed as course or unclean, but Shakespeare disagrees. He
describes eyes, the tangible representation

Walmart s Supply Chain And Their Supplier Quality
Introduction Walmart is well known all over the over the United States. Almost every town traveled
through will have a Walmart. This store is known for their low prices and their ability have the
essential items that are needed on a daily basis. According to their website, Walmart employs 2.2
million people around the world, with 1.4 million coming from the U.S. alone. These employees are
operating in over 11,500 store in 28 different countries. In these stores more than 260 million people
will visit a store in their area in a week (walmart.com, n.d.). With this many customers coming into the
store customer service is essential. With customer service, feedback and response is a huge part to
help associates understand what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong. Then along those
lines we will discuss how Walmart manages their supply chain and their supplier quality. Finally we
will talk about Walmart s employee empowerment, training and teamwork.
Customer Service When a retail company as big a Walmart, those retailers are going to have some
flaws. The thing that sets companies apart is the fact of willing to try and fix those flaws. Walmart had
the case of customers complaining about customer service. Customers were unable to find products
that they wanted and that can lead to serious consequences (Lutz, 2013). Empty shelves was a
problem with a cut back in the workforce and without enough employees to keep up and keep the

Copthorne Hotel Department Analysis
Finance
The finance department at the Copthorne Hotel is extremely important to the running of the hotel.
Some of the finance operations are carried out within the hotel and some are centrally carried out. For
example: Overall accounts, balance sheets for the whole company,
Annual reports and break even analysis area all carried out centrally.
These are all done centrally to reduce the amount of pressure on the individual hotels and to make sure
that they have al the information sorted instead of waiting or the individual hotels to send all of the
information to the central office. Here are a few more jobs that are carried out centrally.

The finance department would need to work out a break even analysis to make sure they are charging
the right amount of money for a room. They would need to do this so they do not lose money.
A way of doing this is to complete a survey of all the other hotels in the country. They could see how
much money the other hotels are charging for a room and if they are making enough profit. This way
they could work out the right price for their rooms.
The finance department would also have to work out a way to make some money to pay back some
interest on their borrowed money. They would have to create a Business Plan outlining how the
borrowed money will make a profit for the hotel.
They would also have to work out a fail safe way to pay the employee s wages. If their wages are paid
on time then the employees will hopefully stay happy and make sure they keep the up the good
customer service. Also, if the finance department pay all of the invoices on time, it will keep the
suppliers happy which in turn will help the departments receive their resources. This will then allow
the staff to maintain the high service expected.

Analysis Of 2001 A Space Odyssey
In 1968, reputable director/producer Stanley Kubrick revolutionized the art of film with his Arthur C.
Clark collaboration, 2001: A Space Odyssey. The MGM film is known for it s striking imagery mostly
because, upon an audience member s first viewing, it is the only thing that actually makes sense. After
the second or third viewing, though, one realizes that the story is something larger than life. Or at least
it is larger than the human race. 2001 tells the story of evolution and the future that humans might
eventually encounter. The plot of 2001: A Space Odyssey is complex. The basic plot takes place after
the human race finds a mysterious monolith buried on the moon. A crew of astronauts, the main of
which are Dr. Dave Bowman, played by Keir Dullea, and Dr. Frank Poole, played by Gary Lockwood,
set out on a mission to the outer moons of Jupiter. With them is the artificial intelligence computer,
H.A.L. 9000, which controls all of the functions of the ship, including the life support systems holding
part of the still hibernating crew. After a series of events that lead Dr. Bowman and Dr. Poole to
believe Hal is malfunctioning, relations between human and computer become hostile. The function of
this film is not to portray computers as evil beings. 2001 serves as a science fiction thought piece on
what the next step of evolution might be. The film starts by showing the dawn of man four million
years ago. The actions of the apes are primal. They are mostly herbivores

says that no matter who you are, you have a family that can help you and that you need to help others.
Chapter 29 of Inkheart by Cornelia Funke supports this theory, because while Meggie and Mo were
talking they thought about Dustfinger. They were wondering if he was ok. This shows that they really
do care about Dustfinger after he betrayed them. This shows us that everyone makes mistakes, and

Health Benefits Of Maternity Leave
HEALTH BENEFITS OF MATERNITY LEAVE
There is a correlation between postpartum and physiological and psychological health issues
(Chatterji, 2004). Studies also found that inadequate time away from work after giving birth spurs
postpartum therefore, paid maternity leave needs to be addressed to alleviate these results since recent
mothers with limited financial resources tend to return to work sooner than they should. Also, it is
difficult for working mothers to juggle a demanding work environment while caring for an infant at
home. The stress of trying to balance the two has shown to weaken the immune system which causes
other health problems down the road. According to Chatterji, returning to work too early also comes
with consequences including numerous psychological conditions but most particularly depression.
Chatterji also states that these negative symptoms can be reduced incrementally by increasing the time
of maternity leave.
Studies have also found that maternity leave contributes to better development and the health of
children. It has been concluded that infant mortality rates can be reduced by 0.5 deaths per 1,000 live
births with an additional week of maternity leave (Hofferth, 2006). That fact alone should be reason
enough to increase the length of maternity leave. Research has also demonstrated that breast milk
contributes to a stronger immune system and disease prevention. However, breastfeeding tends to
decrease when mothers return to work due to

A Study On Mcnabs Island
Over the past 4 months, I have been extensively studying McNabs Island. From studying elevation,
slope, landscape materials, coastal processes, hydrology, climate patterns, slope aspect, as well as
vegetation I was able to create a synthesis map of the ideal areas where an environmental education
center could possibly be placed on the island without harming the island natural environment and
processes. This report includes an analysis of the island, a constraints and opportunities summary, as
well as inventory maps, analysis maps, and the final synthesis map.
McNabs Island is located south east of Halifax, Nova Scotia within the Halifax harbour. McNabs is
surrounded by the Halifax Peninsula and has Lawlor island near its south eastern side. In the past
McNabs Island was used by the military as a location for forts such as that of Fort Ives as well as an
area for fish processing because of its coastal beaches (Manuel Thompson, 2016). It was also used as
an area to live on, particularly by the McNabs family (Manuel Thompson, 2016). In the early 1900 s
the Davis family located their soft and alcoholic drink processing facility on the island.
McNabs Island has a surface area of 460ha. The elevations on McNabs Island range from 0m to 40m
in height. Predominately the areas of higher elevation are where the drumlin hills are located while the
lower areas lie between drumlins and around the coastline. McNabs Island has 4 major drumlins
(Manuel Thompson, 2016). Because of

A Brief Note On The Independent Contractors Organizations

ACM 395 (Pricing)
Professor Adina Peyton
Independent Contractors Introduction Independent contractors are hired and used for various reasons
by companies. Probably one of the main reason businesses hire independent contractors is that it will
save the company money in the long run. Independent contractors are not employees of the company
for which they are hired. They are ultimately hired to perform a service or provide a good for a fee.
The definition of a contractor,

personnel, and/ or services that meet or exceed stated requirements or specifications, at a mutually

A good independent contractor should have good networking skills. Most independent contractors use
subcontractors to complete the job. By having good networking skills, independent contractors are
able to hire subcontractors that are able to come in and help the project progress at a much faster pace
and ultimately finish the job on time. Most would say reliability is the most important trait of all.
When companies hire independent contractors they hope that the contractors is very reliable. Reliable
in the sense that they are able to meet all the requirement and deadlines outlined in the contract. If
companies have concerns about the reliability of an independent contractor, they should move on to
another contractor because in the long haul the job will not get accomplished which will lead to
headaches in the future. Competitive pricing is also important when selecting a contractor. Hiring a
contractor because of price is not always the best practice. Deciding which price to go with can be a
challenging task when it comes to hiring a contractor. According to Murphy (2009), the sellers wants
to make as much money as possible and the buyer wants to save as much as possible . When
companies receive quotes from contractors that are extremely low or high those could be red flags.
Extremely low could mean that the

Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches

Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches
Business researchers utilize various forms of approaches to analyze and obtain information and data,
and two of the most popular approaches used are the qualitative research approach and quantitative
research approach. Each approach can be beneficial or in some cases may cause inconclusive results
depending on the type of research being conducted and what the nature of the study is. The following
will assess two different peer reviewed articles: one which uses a qualitative approach and the other a
quantitative approach. It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both approaches use single, assorted, and longitudinal methods in the research design, but quantitative
requires stringent consistency and also utilizes a cross sectional approach, along with longitudinal, in
order to acquire the most successful results. Quantitative research also maintains a clear distinction
between facts and judgments (Cooper Schindler, 2008). Quantitative research has numerous strengths
and weaknesses as well. The most popular and main form of quantitative research is the use of
surveys, which are cheaper and less costly than other forms of data collection. Another beneficial
quality of the quantitative approach is the lack of contact between the researcher and the participants,
which allows researchers to collect data that could be more biasedly based if used with the qualitative
approach. However, quantitative research has its downfalls. Because the sample sizes are so large it
lengthens the time of the data collection process and interviewing the participants again is usually not
possible, which could alter the consistency of the results (Cooper Schindler, 2008).
As stated before, most quantitative research studies are used to define or measure something. Many
medical studies employ quantitative research to define the measurements of a specific issue. One

Transmission Of Human Immunodeficiency Virus ( Hiv )
Huge strides in the United States in controlling the rate of transmission of human immunodeficiency
virus (HIV) has been made resulting in a significant decrease of its incidence since the epidemic
advent. During the epidemic s height in the 1980s of the United States, the CDC estimated its
incidence at about 150,000 new infections per year. This figure plateaued and dropped significantly
during the 1990s due to introduction of highly effective antiviral treatments and due to a overall public
cultural shift with promotion of HIV education, HIV testing, and condom use, especially among the
LGBT community which was affected disproportionately by HIV infection. However, during the
2000s, a small, growing trend of incidence rates was seen, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was estimated that between the years of 2006 and 2009 alone, the number of new HIV infections
among all 13 to 24 year olds due to male to male sexual contact increased from 61% to 71%,
respectively. This has many implications for public health efforts because previously those most
affected by HIV infection were adult men who have sex with men (MSM). The current research and
work to reduce HIV is therefore mainly aimed at the MSM population, which may not translate to
curbing infection rates in YMSM. In fact, studies that have looked at individual risk factors (i.e.
unprotected anal intercourse, or UAI) seen in MSM populations as associated to increased risk of HIV
infection among YMSM have found large inconsistencies. Current theories in the literature suggest
that individual characteristics, social norms, and behavioral patterns within the YMSM population are
highly interrelated and evolving, and individually can not predict accurately who among the YMSM
population is at most risk. One particular compounding variable is the growing use of technology.
YMSM are using technology (i.e. GPS compatible smartphones) to seek sexual partners which is
largely changing their constructed social environment and relationship patterns. Therefore, there is a
call to use a more multivariate model of risks to better understand useful preventative strategies to

Abstract Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) introduce a new way to interact with the physical
environment. The security in WSNs became an attractive area of research. WSNs are susceptible to a
wide range of malicious attacks. At present ECC is considered for secure communications, which is
having good potential for WSN security due to its smaller key size and its high strength of security.
Unfortunately, the execution time of ECC is more which is not suitable for more number of
applications. A number of other security mechanisms have been proposed for sensor networks to
provide data confidentiality, namely Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Data Encryption
Standard (DES). In this paper, we propose an algorithm, which is compared and analyzed with the
existing ECC and AES to provide better security with authenticated sensor nodes. The authentication
is done with a secret code. The proposed algorithm will ensure the secure communication with
authenticated devices. The analysis results shows that the scheme works better than the common
existent schemes with better utilization of available memory.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Global Funding Institutions
Global funding institutions such the World Bank and the IMF play a significant role in the economic
and business enhancement of developing countries. These organizations provide funds to assist
developmental programs and projects in developing and already developed countries. The World
Bank, along with IMF funds vital and fundamental projects in crucial areas. They funds things like
free education, subsidized health care through insurance covers and provide relief for these nations in
times of great economic crisis (Tulchinsky Varavikova, 2009). However, researchers have listed a lot
of disadvantages associated with these two international funding institutions.
According to Tulchinsky and Varavikova (2009), there is a lot of evidence to be viewed as important
examples of the effects of the World Bank and the IMF Funding on economic areas. Studies have
shown that IMF has established a corrupt system implying neocolonialism that seeks to expose the
developing nations for the benefit of the rich developed countries. The IMF has placed the economy in
a state of environmental destruction. The developed countries account for the highest amount of
harmful and toxic environmental emissions (Lee, 2005). China, United States, Canada and Japan
being part of the developed nations stand a better chance of economic survival and proliferation due to
the lenient policies favoring its existence.

Theme: How a leader can influence others?
Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do
it. Dwight D. Eisenhower. In a place, where Unwinding is permitted for saving lives and possible,
people must take a stand against this rebellion. The novel, Unwind by Neal Shusterman s, showed
commitment and leadership roles throughout the novel. This type of leadership and commitment came
from Connor, Roland, and the Admiral. They showed leadership roles in their own different ways
throughout the book. This novel says that a leader can influence others by motivation and inspiration,
persuasion, and strongly believing in a vision.

The best leadership moment was in part seven, when Risa and Connor return to the Graveyard to run
it. The Admiral is too weak, having refused to take a new heart from an Unwind, and Connor stepped
in. Connor delivers a powerful speech that sets course for becoming the best leader in this novel.
Overall, Connor influenced others in a positive way and can be described as a great positive leader in
this book, Unwind.
A leader can also influence others in a negative way by using the technique, persuasion. This leader
who influenced others in a negative way was Roland. Shusterman gave Roland to have great
persuasion; and, Roland persuaded anyone who was in his way to step aside as he persevered to
become the biggest and greatest leader of all. For example he made up lies about the Admiral saying
that the Admiral used Unwinds just so he could get certain parts. He killed Emby so he could have his
hair. Also the Admiral s teeth and the scars on his face were from unwinding. Roland is not a killer,
but a fighter. He is said to be strong, brave and a good leader. He s manipulative and uses people for
his own personal gain. He is also intimidating and has a tendency to lose his temper quickly. For
example in part 2, Connor and Risa met Hayden, Mai, and Roland all in the safe house. Roland was
controlled everything, telling everyone what to do and when to eat. Roland hated Connor from the
minute he met him because he

degree. One wants to start a restaurant and another wants to work as a subcontractor in a building
trade. The third friend wants to put together a firm with a couple of other graduates to provide several
kinds of complementary financial services including insurance, financial planning, and bookkeeping.
What form of business organization (textbook, pp. 8 9) would you suggest each of the three friends
should use, and why? (12 marks) A corporation business form is suitable for the friend who wants to
start a restaurant. There are some advantages for corporation: first, a corporation is distinct from its
owners. The corporation can own property, borrow, and enter into contracts. Second, the shareholders
have limited liabilities, unlike other business form, they are just liable for the amount they invested.
Third, it s easier to loan money for a corporation than other business form. A sole proprietorship
business form is good for the friend who wants to be a subcontract in a building trade. Subcontractor
means a person or a business which has a contact with a contractor to provide some portion of the
work or services on a project which the contract has agreed to. In the subcontractor friend case, the
friend can set his business as a sole proprietorship which is a firm owned by an individual or a family.
All of the business s assets and liabilities are also personal assets and liabilities, a sole proprietorship
has unlimited liability for

Research Paper On Peaky Blinders
In the last five years there has been an enormous shift in the way television is consumed, largely due
to the growing availability of content online. The internet has brought the power of what, when and
where a program is consumed into the hands of the viewer (Pittman Sheehan, 2015). This has caused a
surge in both the amount, and the frequency of television consumed, leading to a growth of a viewing
practice known as binge watching (Matrix, 2014; Pittman Sheehan, 2015). Streaming services, such as
Netflix, have helped to facilitate this change in consumption practices (Pittman Sheehan, 2015).
Netflix is an online streaming platform with a large variety of television programs and movies, which
are made available to subscribers for a small monthly fee. Some of the content is exclusive to the
streaming site, and others have originated elsewhere but are now available through the streaming
service. Peaky Blinders is a show that falls into the latter category, having originally aired on BBC
Two in the United Kingdom. The first three seasons of Peaky Blinders have recently been made
available on Netflix. As shown in my media journal, this was how I consumed this program. While
Peaky Blinders was not originally distributed as a program to binge watch, it does meet several of the
criteria which makes it a program ideal for this type of consumption. Peaky Blinders is a British crime
drama about a Birmingham gang of the same name, set just after the First World War. Each

Essay On Whole Foods Market
Target Customers:
Whole foods Market targets people who are more interested in consuming high quality organic foods
and living a healthy lifestyle. They want natural and organic foods and are willing to pay higher prices
for that. They live in urban areas and are comparatively wealthy. Whole foods Market provides a lot of
options for them and a memorable consumer experience when they shop for food. It makes sure to
attract these people. In addition to this, to target average consumers it has introduced 365 everyday
value offering products at reduced prices.
Fairway targets all the urban class people. Though it does offer organic foods, it doesn t specialize in
that niche. It doesn t employ knowledgeable employees who can increase the sales of the organic
foods it offers.
Advertising:
Whole Foods Market advertises itself as America s Healthiest Store and has maintained that reputation
for several years now. It also launched its first multichannel National Brand campaign with the slogan
Values Matter to highlight the quality of their foods. To boost its advertising strategy, it collaborated
with GSD M and placed its products in TV shows like Modern Family and during the World Series
and NFL football too. In addition to this it runs ads in most of the Lifestyle, Food and Health
magazines (paper and online). Also, product samples are displayed throughout their stores.
Its social media strategy propagates across 6 different social platforms including Twitter, Facebook,

Automotive Industry And Porter s Five Forces
Automotive Industry and Porter s Five Forces
Shawn D Schubach
American Military University
Abstract
According to the AMA dictionary of Business and Management (2013), Porter s Five Forces can be
described as a Framework developed by business professor Michael Porter for analyzing the balance
of power within a particular industry and its profitability. The following are the five forces: Bargaining
Power of Buyers, Bargaining Power of Suppliers, Competitive Rivalry in the Industry, Threat of New
Entrants, and Threat of Substitutes.Porter originally developed the five forces to explain why the
structures of some industries lead to exceptional profitability, and other structures do not (Kiechel III,
2010). Wilson (2015) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Automotive Industry Defined
Binder Rae (2017) defined the automotive industry as an industry that consists of all companies and
activities involved in the manufacturing of motor vehicles. It is key to note that this includes aspects
such as the building of components such as engines, and bodies of automobiles, but, according to
Binder Rae, excludes aspects such has tires, batteries, and fuel. Binder Rae states that the primary
products that the automotive industry manufactures are passenger automobiles and light trucks, and
commercial vehicles.
Automotive Industry Profile Outlook
Ferro (2015) identifies that the automotive industry is both capital and labor intensive. This is shown
through the management of costs and expenses associated with the manufacturing of vehicles (e.g.,
facilities, materials, parts, equipment, product development, and employment). Further, Ferro
discusses that the prices of key raw materials, such as steel, can fluctuate which requires the industry
to be strategically flexible.
In the United States the automotive industry is the largest single manufacturing enterprise in terms of
total value of products, value added by manufacture, and number of wage earners employed,
according to Binder Rae (2017). As well, Bind Rae state that one of every six American

Sponge Research Paper
Sponges are creatures that many people do really take about, but the truth is that they are fascinating.
They are simple compared to many creatures on this planet, but such a simple creature can have
intriguing ways to function in life. They have so many different structures that help collect food and
allow water flow. Also, there are a few different morphologies that they can take advantage of to
survive. One of the most important factor to a sponge s survival is the water flow velocity to area
ratio. For a sponge to survive there are a few structures that water must go through. To get inside the
sponge, the water must travel through tiny holes called ostia. The water then flows into an opening
called the spongocoel, and finally out of the sponge through the osculum. Inside the spongocoel are
tiny flagella which capture the food particles necessary for the sponge s survival. If the sponge is more
complex than the pathway to the spongocoel is more complex. This results in more flagella which will
result in more food for the sponge. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the spongocoel of the sponge is too large, there will be areas in the sponge where the water is not
circulating. If that happens, the amount of water flow and the feeding efficiency is lowered. If the
spongocoel is too small, there will not be that much water flow; therefore, the feeding efficiency will
still be low. To maximizing the amount of water flow and the feeding efficiency, sponges have adapted
their morphology. The three different types of morphology are asconoid, syconoid, and leuconoid. The
asconoid is the simplest structure while the leuconoid is the most complex structure. The leuconoid is
the most complex because it has more pathways to the spongocoel which allows a higher feeding

North And South Similarities
North and South had many differences but they also have similarities. While the South had their
booming agricultural business the North had many industries. But these two actually helped each other
their businesses they correlated. The agricultural business needed things to be shipped so the North
helped with that.
The similarities are few but there is still some. Both of the North and South states were very racist
they both did not accept African American as a citizen. They also had an equal number of states. Also
as I said in the top they had industries with cotton. The North had industries that would take in cotton
and produces it as clothes. The South would harvest it and send it to the North. But there are many
differences between the

If you decide to put your furry friend on a vegan diet, it s important to make sure you re meeting all of his nutritional needs a task cricket protein can help with. Protein Just like people, dog s need a certain amount of protein in their diet. The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), the organization responsible for setting pet food standards, has declared that dry dog food must be 18% protein while poppy food must be 22% protein. These recommendations represent the minimum amount of protein allowed. Most experts, however, agree that a food is best when it is between 25 and 30% protein. While humans on a vegan diet can easily find foods that provide adequate protein, the task is more difficult for dogs. Unlike humans, dogs have trouble fully ... A dog food which consists of 18% protein from meat may be adequate to meet your dog s protein requirements, whereas a dog food which has 18% protein from corn may not be. When choosing vegan dog food, choose options with higher protein percentages to compensate for the lower assimilation of vegetable proteins. If you don t, you re likely to see signs of protein deficiency in your dog, the first of which is usually a poor coat. It s also important to note the poor digestibility of the grains on the above list. This makes it easy to see why grain free diets are often attractive to dog owners, as well as vegan diets. B Vitamins Some B vitamins are found in plants, but there is no plant source of B 12 vitamins. This means you ll have to supplement your vegan dog s diet, even if you re feeding her high quality foods. Cricket protein is loaded with B 12 vitamins so you can add it to your dog s dish or provide treats that contain this important supplement. Aminoalkanoic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Music Literacy And Its Influence On Music Although technique and natural talent are big factors in music performing, it is suggested that a major skill needed for a developing music performer is the ability to sight read (Paul), which is an important factor in acquiring and expanding music literacy (Gromko). However, music literacy is a compositional ability that requires many different abilities (Gromko, Lehmann and Ericson). In relation to studies on English literacy acquisition techniques, little research has been conducted on music literacy. In what research has been done, it is shown that music literacy and sight reading ability acquisition has not an exact pedagogical technique or theory (Hodges). Given this, a review that examines the research of variables and predictors of sight reading abilities and music literacy knowledge acquisition has yet to be done. The purpose of this review is to synthesize published articles on the research of music literacy to help give a better perspective on the variables that affect the acquisition of music reading skills. Experiments, a national survey, and general observations were used in this review. First, the techniques and observations that are used to teach music literacy to musicians will be evaluated. Next, eye pattern movements that have been observed while reading music will be reviewed. Lastly, variables that affect the acquisition of music literacy and the success of sight reading will be introduced. Teaching and Acquiring Music Literacy Over the years, many ... Our system is also equipped with a security gate which prevent people from leaving the store without paying. Although RFID technology is implemented, this technology cannot tell whether the shoppers have paid or not since as long as the shoppers have scanned the products, the magnetic chips on the products are deactivated. So, security gate will give extra security to our customer. Also, a Stop and Shop s customer complained about the high product price (due to the implementation of high scanner technology) (Wandzilak, 2008). • 5. Failure Of Appeasement Research Paper Failure of Appeasement was the main reason WW2 occurred. How far do you agree? The policy of appeasement was used between 1935 and 1939 by the League Of Nations towards Nazi Germany. It involved making concessions to Germany, allowing Hitler to do things such as Anschluss and invade the Sudetenland. Many historians, including Winston Churchill, critisied appeasement at the time. One way in which Appeasement failed and contributed to the outbreak of WW2 was that it encouraged Hitler to follow his expansionist policies (Lebensraum). This is shown by the risks Hitler was taking, hoping no repurcussions would occur. One example of this the remiliterisation of the Rhineland in March 1936 which, directly contradicting the terms laid out in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The league was designed to democratically complete its main aims; enocouraging disarmament and improving working conditions and upholding peace. The League failed in these aims and allowed powerful nations to gain unlawful global strongholds. One example of this was the italian invasion of Corfu in 1923, the League failed to enforce sanctions and allowed mussolini to demand compensation and an apology from greece. Mussolini could see the League was weak and later invaded abysinnia in 1935. The league, once again, failed to act and the world lost confidence in its ability to keep it safe. The nazi soviet pact was signed between germany and russia, agreeing to complete non aggression and the divison of poland. This meant Hitler could focus on the western front and gave him confidence in winning the war. This meant the likelyhood of war breaking out was massivly increased. Overall, I believe the faliure of appeasement isnt the main reason for the outbreak of the second world war because it bought Britain time to prepare for conflict. The failure of the League Of Nations to prevent expansionist foreign powers was to blame. It didnt enforce sanctions on Italy, Germany and Japan (as seen in the manchurian crisis) and allowed them to gain the confidence to begin the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She is has been awarded a number of prizes including the Booker Prize, Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Governor General s Award, etc. In Violent Duality: A Study of Margaret Atwood, Sherrill Grace wrote that Atwood s works are the pull towards art on one hand and towards life on the other . She further explains that Atwood has always been well aware of her subjects irrespective of its gender or type and thus always worked within them. One of the most remarkable features of Atwood s poetry is the duality which is presented through separation, says The Art of Margaret Atwood: Essays in Criticism. Atwood s work beautifully elaborated the idea of alienation and the need for human communication. She tries to draw the attention of the audience towards the need of a balanced society or a communicating structure for humans. The suffering in her works, especially around the female character, was the result of her experience with the women who generally suffered in some on the other way, she explained. Yes, there is nothing in the whole world I would not give! I would give my soul for that! (p. 32, The Picture of Dorian Gray) After countless hours of meticulously replicating the handsome man on the pedestal with delicate brushstrokes, Basil Hallward completes yet another exceptional portrait. Dorian s impulsive nature causes him to make a wish that is lacking in thought and realization of the consequences that may result from it. The thought of eternal youth drives the young man mad and the fact that he is unable to have it frustrates him to the extent that he is willing to give everything he has, including his soul. This wish combined with the lengths he is willing to go to make it come true foreshadow the deadly consequences that may result because of it. This quote speaks to me because it gives insight into the heart of Dorian Gray and it reveals his true intentions. In fact, the world that God created is good, and when humans begin to work alongside God in creation, things become very good (Genesis 1:31). Unfortunately, because of the fall of humanity, God s creation strays away and falls short of God s original intent. As a result, the human condition swings on a pendulum from good too bad while God s continues to reconcile humanity. • 16. Gun Laws And Gun Control Body 1: England passed a law banning all handguns in 1997 following a school shooting(Malcolm). However, in 2002, handgun crime has more than doubled by nearly thirty five percent since then(Malcolm). There are two flaws in the idea that England s strict gun law is responsible for its low levels of crime. First, violence and armed crime was low before gun controls were implemented. Secondly, the long decline in the interpersonal violence ended in 1953, and violent crime has been escalating ever since then, despite increasingly strict gun regulations(Malcolm). The first serious gun control was imposed in 1920 not because of fear of crime, but rather due to fear of revolution(Malcolm). In the beginning of World War I, the government faced massive labor disruption, feared a Bolshevik revolution, and worried about the return of thousands of soldiers brutalized by an especially ferocious war. The new act required a prospective gun owner to obtain a certificate from the local police, who were responsible for determining whether the applicant was in good standing for possession of a firearm. Parliament was assured that the sole intention of the law was to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals and other dangerous persons.(Malcolm) Despite the fact that laws were implemented to remove guns from citizens, crime still increased, and most of the citizens had no way to defend themselves when held at range from a deadly combatant. Before I make my side of the contention, Here is some foundation data on the death penalty. The death penalty was brought over from Britain, when the establishing fathers pronounced autonomy. Europeans gave capital punishment for different violations. The primary recorded execution in America happened in Jamestown, 1608. A man named George Kendall was executed for conspiracy. In the prior provincial days, laws with respect to the death penalty differed relying upon the district and the idea of the wrongdoing. Amid the nineteen century, capital punishment changed drastically. Around this time capital punishment began to lose prevalence. Expresses never again dedicated open executions. • 21. The Link Between Omega-3 And Depression What is Omega 3? Over the last two centuries, expansion in large scale industrialisation and western populations has been associated with diet changes; Australians now consuming less omega 3 (Black Dog Institute, 2012). Omega 3, a polyunsaturated fatty acid, has various forms; Alpha Linolenic acid (ALA), Docosahexanoic acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). DHA and EPA are essential fatty acids meaning that our bodies are unable to endogenously synthesise them, leading us to source omega 3 enriched foods. Link Between Omega 3 and Depression The protective factor of omega 3 against cancer, heart disease and diabetes is well known but it is also highly effective in preventing and managing depression. Raeder, Steen, Vollset, and Bjelland s (2006) experimental study demonstrated that subjects who regularly consumed cod liver oil, rich in omega 3, were 30% less likely to develop depressive symptoms; however a causal link could not be made. A recent clinical trial discovered that omega 3 might improve mood in already depressed individuals (Hallahan, Hibbeln, Davis, Garland, 2007). • 24. Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s... Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s Sonnet 46 In Sonnet 46 of his works about the blond young man, William Shakespeare presents a unique view on the classic debate about physical lust versus emotional love. The poet struggles to decide if his feelings are based upon superficial desire and infatuation, represented by the eye (1), or true love independent of the physical world, symbolized by the heart (1). With a deft movement from violent imagery in the first two lines to the civilized language of law, Shakespeare dismisses the commonly accepted view of a battle between the eye and the heart. The diction of warfare denotes two very separate alien sides clashing in destructive confrontation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He even chooses to modify war (1) with the word mortal (1), signifying a conflict to the death with no possibility for reconciliation or pacification. But in the next line he contradicts himself. Though the poet continues to utilize martial imagery such as conquest (2), his choice of verbs subtly changes the meaning. [D]ivide (2) suggests that both parties in the conflict will receive some portion of the prize, an unlikely occurrence if the eye and heart are truly in mortal war (1). Shakespeare underscores this change in direction by substituting a trochee for the standard iamb as the initial foot of the line. Already, the poet is shifting focus away from the idea of warfare and onto the image of a courtroom. The second quatrain completes that movement and establishes equality between the two sides. Words of violence are conspicuously absent from this point on in the poem, replaced by legal vocabulary, such as plead (5), deny (7), and lies (8). No longer bitter enemies, the eye and the heart become the plaintiff and the defendant (7) in a civil dispute over the possession of Shakespeare s love. The diction in this section of the poem also serves to contradict the traditional negative connotations of infatuation. Physical attraction is often portrayed as course or unclean, but Shakespeare disagrees. He describes eyes, the tangible representation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The MGM film is known for it s striking imagery mostly because, upon an audience member s first viewing, it is the only thing that actually makes sense. After the second or third viewing, though, one realizes that the story is something larger than life. Or at least it is larger than the human race. 2001 tells the story of evolution and the future that humans might eventually encounter. The plot of 2001: A Space Odyssey is complex. The basic plot takes place after the human race finds a mysterious monolith buried on the moon. A crew of astronauts, the main of which are Dr. Dave Bowman, played by Keir Dullea, and Dr. Frank Poole, played by Gary Lockwood, set out on a mission to the outer moons of Jupiter. With them is the artificial intelligence computer, H.A.L. 9000, which controls all of the functions of the ship, including the life support systems holding part of the still hibernating crew. After a series of events that lead Dr. Bowman and Dr. Poole to believe Hal is malfunctioning, relations between human and computer become hostile. The function of this film is not to portray computers as evil beings. 2001 serves as a science fiction thought piece on what the next step of evolution might be. • 30. Health Benefits Of Maternity Leave HEALTH BENEFITS OF MATERNITY LEAVE There is a correlation between postpartum and physiological and psychological health issues (Chatterji, 2004). Studies also found that inadequate time away from work after giving birth spurs postpartum therefore, paid maternity leave needs to be addressed to alleviate these results since recent mothers with limited financial resources tend to return to work sooner than they should. Also, it is difficult for working mothers to juggle a demanding work environment while caring for an infant at home. The stress of trying to balance the two has shown to weaken the immune system which causes other health problems down the road. According to Chatterji, returning to work too early also comes with consequences including numerous psychological conditions but most particularly depression. Chatterji also states that these negative symptoms can be reduced incrementally by increasing the time of maternity leave. Studies have also found that maternity leave contributes to better development and the health of children. It has been concluded that infant mortality rates can be reduced by 0.5 deaths per 1,000 live births with an additional week of maternity leave (Hofferth, 2006). That fact alone should be reason enough to increase the length of maternity leave. Research has also demonstrated that breast milk contributes to a stronger immune system and disease prevention. McNabs Island is located south east of Halifax, Nova Scotia within the Halifax harbour. McNabs is surrounded by the Halifax Peninsula and has Lawlor island near its south eastern side. Reliable in the sense that they are able to meet all the requirement and deadlines outlined in the contract. If companies have concerns about the reliability of an independent contractor, they should move on to another contractor because in the long haul the job will not get accomplished which will lead to headaches in the future. Competitive pricing is also important when selecting a contractor. Hiring a contractor because of price is not always the best practice. Deciding which price to go with can be a challenging task when it comes to hiring a contractor. Both approaches use single, assorted, and longitudinal methods in the research design, but quantitative requires stringent consistency and also utilizes a cross sectional approach, along with longitudinal, in order to acquire the most successful results. Quantitative research also maintains a clear distinction between facts and judgments (Cooper Schindler, 2008). Quantitative research has numerous strengths and weaknesses as well. The most popular and main form of quantitative research is the use of surveys, which are cheaper and less costly than other forms of data collection. Another beneficial quality of the quantitative approach is the lack of contact between the researcher and the participants, which allows researchers to collect data that could be more biasedly based if used with the qualitative approach. However, quantitative research has its downfalls. Because the sample sizes are so large it lengthens the time of the data collection process and interviewing the participants again is usually not possible, which could alter the consistency of the results (Cooper Schindler, 2008). During the epidemic s height in the 1980s of the United States, the CDC estimated its incidence at about 150,000 new infections per year. This figure plateaued and dropped significantly during the 1990s due to introduction of highly effective antiviral treatments and due to a overall public cultural shift with promotion of HIV education, HIV testing, and condom use, especially among the LGBT community which was affected disproportionately by HIV infection. It was estimated that between the years of 2006 and 2009 alone, the number of new HIV infections among all 13 to 24 year olds due to male to male sexual contact increased from 61% to 71%, respectively. This has many implications for public health efforts because previously those most affected by HIV infection were adult men who have sex with men (MSM). The current research and work to reduce HIV is therefore mainly aimed at the MSM population, which may not translate to curbing infection rates in YMSM. In fact, studies that have looked at individual risk factors (i.e. unprotected anal intercourse, or UAI) seen in MSM populations as associated to increased risk of HIV infection among YMSM have found large inconsistencies. Current theories in the literature suggest that individual characteristics, social norms, and behavioral patterns within the YMSM population are highly interrelated and evolving, and individually can not predict accurately who among the YMSM population is at most risk. One particular compounding variable is the growing use of technology. YMSM are using technology (i.e. GPS compatible smartphones) to seek sexual partners which is largely changing their constructed social environment and relationship patterns. Email: suresh.lokhande, anushapeddigari94, archanatandra95 {@gmail.com} Abstract Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) introduce a new way to interact with the physical environment. The security in WSNs became an attractive area of research. WSNs are susceptible to a wide range of malicious attacks. At present ECC is considered for secure communications, which is having good potential for WSN security due to its smaller key size and its high strength of security. Unfortunately, the execution time of ECC is more which is not suitable for more number of applications. A number of other security mechanisms have been proposed for sensor networks to provide data confidentiality, namely Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Data Encryption Standard (DES). In this paper, we propose an algorithm, which is compared and analyzed with the existing ECC and AES to provide better security with authenticated sensor nodes. The authentication is done with a secret code. The proposed algorithm will ensure the secure communication with authenticated devices. These organizations provide funds to assist developmental programs and projects in developing and already developed countries. The World Bank, along with IMF funds vital and fundamental projects in crucial areas. They funds things like free education, subsidized health care through insurance covers and provide relief for these nations in times of great economic crisis (Tulchinsky Varavikova, 2009). The third friend wants to put together a firm with a couple of other graduates to provide several kinds of complementary financial services including insurance, financial planning, and bookkeeping. What form of business organization (textbook, pp. 8 9) would you suggest each of the three friends should use, and why? (12 marks) A corporation business form is suitable for the friend who wants to start a restaurant. There are some advantages for corporation: first, a corporation is distinct from its owners. The corporation can own property, borrow, and enter into contracts. Second, the shareholders have limited liabilities, unlike other business form, they are just liable for the amount they invested. Third, it s easier to loan money for a corporation than other business form. A sole proprietorship business form is good for the friend who wants to be a subcontract in a building trade. • 45. Research Paper On Peaky Blinders In the last five years there has been an enormous shift in the way television is consumed, largely due to the growing availability of content online. The internet has brought the power of what, when and where a program is consumed into the hands of the viewer (Pittman Sheehan, 2015). This has caused a surge in both the amount, and the frequency of television consumed, leading to a growth of a viewing practice known as binge watching (Matrix, 2014; Pittman Sheehan, 2015). Streaming services, such as Netflix, have helped to facilitate this change in consumption practices (Pittman Sheehan, 2015). Netflix is an online streaming platform with a large variety of television programs and movies, which are made available to subscribers for a small monthly fee. Some of the content is exclusive to the streaming site, and others have originated elsewhere but are now available through the streaming service. Peaky Blinders is a show that falls into the latter category, having originally aired on BBC Two in the United Kingdom. The first three seasons of Peaky Blinders have recently been made available on Netflix. As shown in my media journal, this was how I consumed this program. While Peaky Blinders was not originally distributed as a program to binge watch, it does meet several of the criteria which makes it a program ideal for this type of consumption. Peaky Blinders is a British crime drama about a Birmingham gang of the same name, set just after the First World War. Each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The following are the five forces: Bargaining Power of Buyers, Bargaining Power of Suppliers, Competitive Rivalry in the Industry, Threat of New Entrants, and Threat of Substitutes.Porter originally developed the five forces to explain why the structures of some industries lead to exceptional profitability, and other structures do not (Kiechel III, 2010). Automotive Industry Defined Binder Rae (2017) defined the automotive industry as an industry that consists of all companies and activities involved in the manufacturing of motor vehicles. It is key to note that this includes aspects such as the building of components such as engines, and bodies of automobiles, but, according to Binder Rae, excludes aspects such has tires, batteries, and fuel. Binder Rae states that the primary products that the automotive industry manufactures are passenger automobiles and light trucks, and commercial vehicles. Automotive Industry Profile Outlook Ferro (2015) identifies that the automotive industry is both capital and labor intensive. This is shown through the management of costs and expenses associated with the manufacturing of vehicles (e.g., facilities, materials, parts, equipment, product development, and employment). Further, Ferro discusses that the prices of key raw materials, such as steel, can fluctuate which requires the industry to be strategically flexible. In the United States the automotive industry is the largest single manufacturing enterprise in terms of total value of products, value added by manufacture, and number of wage earners employed, according to Binder Rae (2017). As well, Bind Rae state that one of every six American ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Sponge Research Paper Sponges are creatures that many people do really take about, but the truth is that they are fascinating. They are simple compared to many creatures on this planet, but such a simple creature can have intriguing ways to function in life. They have so many different structures that help collect food and allow water flow. Also, there are a few different morphologies that they can take advantage of to survive. One of the most important factor to a sponge s survival is the water flow velocity to area ratio. For a sponge to survive there are a few structures that water must go through. To get inside the sponge, the water must travel through tiny holes called ostia. The water then flows into an opening called the spongocoel, and finally out of the sponge through the osculum. Inside the spongocoel are tiny flagella which capture the food particles necessary for the sponge s survival. If the sponge is more complex than the pathway to the spongocoel is more complex. This results in more flagella which will result in more food for the sponge. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the spongocoel of the sponge is too large, there will be areas in the sponge where the water is not circulating. If that happens, the amount of water flow and the feeding efficiency is lowered. If the spongocoel is too small, there will not be that much water flow; therefore, the feeding efficiency will still be low. To maximizing the amount of water flow and the feeding efficiency, sponges have adapted their morphology. The three different types of morphology are asconoid, syconoid, and leuconoid. The asconoid is the simplest structure while the leuconoid is the most complex structure. The leuconoid is the most complex because it has more pathways to the spongocoel which allows a higher feeding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But these two actually helped each other their businesses they correlated. The agricultural business needed things to be shipped so the North helped with that. The similarities are few but there is still some. Both of the North and South states were very racist they both did not accept African American as a citizen. They also had an equal number of states. Also as I said in the top they had industries with cotton. The North had industries that would take in cotton and produces it as clothes. The South would harvest it and send it to the North.
