Essay on Privacy Infringements through the Internet
Today in society, people are expected to be able to protect their own privacy, but the very definition of
privacy states that it is in no way completely attainable, nor will it ever be. And why would people
want that when it has been proven that to achieve absolute privacy would mean to forfeit a place in
society (Nehf)? But in recent years, privacy infringements through the Internet have gotten out of
hand. Until privacy becomes a principal concern for Internet users, they remain unsafe, easy targets
for deceitful scammers, other users, data collectors, and more. There are many problems surrounding
the Internet and its current privacy systems, one of the biggest ones being the current user
accountability arrangement. Currently, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the First Amendment concerns the right to free speech. But where is the line drawn
between free speech and cyber bullying? Many schools and organizations observe signs of Cyber
bullying, but the Fourth Amendment banning illegal search and seizure prevents them from taking
further action. Privacy infringements through the Internet are publicly viewed as the work of evil, foul
criminals. But what if the person violating your privacy is your best friend? In many situations a
violation of privacy is an embarrassing wall post or a mean video or tweet. This is a specifically
hurtful instance because it is much more difficult to confront a friend instead of a faceless online
perpetrator. Moreover, many individuals are perfectly will to violate their own privacy through
revealing photos and the sharing of too much personal information, all for the sake of attention
(Subrahmanyam). In 2010, there were several research studies done on Internet privacy, one of which
being the amount of information that could be procured on a specific person in only 30 minutes of
investigating them online (Kasper). The results were startling. The subject of the investigation s sex,

The Discovery Of Oil And Its Impact On The Environment
The discovery of oil has led to an abundance of new opportunities that have helped people create new
inventions with the biggest being the automobile. Major corporations have arisen from The impact of
oil derived, in large part, from its attractiveness as an energy dense, easily deliverable source of fuel
for transportation. Oil is sometimes coined the term black gold because of its value. Corporations like
Chevron have made billions of dollars in the oil industry. With the rise of oil, the destruction of the
environment has also become a serious issue in some parts of the world. Oil spills that have taken
place in the gulf and in the forests have had a huge impact on both the people and wildlife that have
lived around these affected areas. Black streaks of oil are seen in the sand in some beaches still to this
day and. But these are just some of the major environmental disasters oil companies like Chevron are
responsible for. Chevron has also made an impact on the environment around its refineries, and it is
not a positive impact. The waste that comes out of these refineries is dumped into the ocean, rivers,
and these toxic waste sites severely hurt the environment in the process. One of the biggest issue the
company faces, is with the country of Ecuador where a lawsuit was filed against Texaco, which was
acquired by Chevron in 2001. The corporation was blamed for the mass pollution across the Amazon
after the company left the refineries with mass traces of toxic waste

Spotlight in Electronic Health Record Errors
Introduction In today world, healthcare sector is one of the most important sectors in every country.
This is because; it plays a major role in providing healthcare services for the whole populations. This
situation leads to the use of technology in managing the entire document related to patient in public or
private hospitals. Use of technology in managing the documents brings many benefits, but with a
careless ways of handling those documents, it can cause many problems that will personally effect the
administration of the hospitals itself.
Article Review This article entitle Spotlight on Electronic Health Record Errors: Paper or Electronic
Hybrid Workflows was written by Erin Sparnon on June, 2013. The Electronic Health Record (EHR)
is a longitudinal electronic record of patient health data made by one or more encounters in any care
delivery setting. Comprised in this information are patient demographics, progress notes,
complications, medicines, vital signs, past health history, vaccinations, laboratory records and
radiology information. This system automates and updates the clinician s workflow and has the
capability to create a complete record of a clinical patient encounter as well as supporting other care
related events directly or indirectly, including evidence based result support, quality management, and
results reporting. According to the writer, this article focus on errors connected to hybrid medical
records workflows, in which a combination of

People Hating People throughout History
People who put principles before people are people who hate people. They don t much care about how
well it works, just about how right it is ... they may even like it better if it inflicts enough pain (John
Barnes). People do not think too much of how their actions affect other human beings. They think
making others feel less than who they are is completely ok, even with the level of National Security. It
is not ok whatsoever. Instead of dehumanizing people and making them feel worthless and like
animals National Security, and other humans, should treat people equally and not like objects, make
them feel comfortable and not take away their rights because we are all human and all equal. Although
people feel as though they can just take away a person s rights and identity because they feel they are
more superior and important, they have no right to. The three veterans, with needles in their hands,
engraved a number on our left arms. I became A7713. After that I had no other name. (Wiesel 39).
Wiesel is talking about how his identity was just taken away from him. And how it was so easy to just
become a number, and nothing but a number, so quickly. He had no other identity other than the one
given to him when his original name was taken away from him. As a result, Mr. Wiesel and many
other humans have and are being stripped of their identity and becoming, or have become, nothing but
a number and an object. There are eighty of you in this wagon, added the German officer.

Popup Camper Research Paper
After twenty two years of marriage and tent camping, we finally upgraded to a popup camper, which
is considered to be entry level to travel trailers. We loved that popup camper (Note: Any time I say we
loved, please understand I am excluding my daughter). For the first time in our camping lives we had
air conditioning, running water, light that did not come from a flame, and although it was not much
softer than the ground we had slept on for years, we had a bed off the ground. For the first time, we
did not have to worry about a squirrel or skunk gnawing a hole in the side of the tent to get at the
potato chips one of the kids had left on the tent floor. We actually had a place we could plug in a small
heater during colder months without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was perfect! It had a full kitchen, a queen size bed, a dinette table that dropped down to make an
extra bed if needed, and a full bath with a shower that had hot water. However, we quickly learned that
rarely would it be just the two of us camping. All six grandchildren decided they wanted to go
camping! As much as we were thrilled the grandkids wanted to camp with us, we realized two things
quickly: first, there was barely enough room in our small travel trailer for us much less six extra little
energetic bodies, and second, there was no way in Hades that we were going to be trapped in a tin can
with six wild Indians. We upgraded again! Because we were still cheap, we bought another entry level
travel trailer, but at least this time it was longer and had bunk beds. We also decided for our sanity that
we would take no more than two grandchildren on any camping trip. However, shortly after getting
the new camper, we caved in and took three of the mud slugs with us camping, and thereby, shot that
resolution to hell. But, that s really a good thing. Camping is a lot like Disney World; it s the smile on
children s faces that make it so special, especially if the faces belong to your

The Effects Of Pesticides And Cause Degradation
Introduction:
From history until date, many studies are continuously exploring presence of pesticides and cause

widely used on regular basis. The sample preparation comes in to being when it is being cooled until 4
degree centigrade. The sample is being selected with all kinds of risk assessment from internal climate
change to external one. There is proper need of sampling and scattering issues and those issues are
being established with efforts of researcher.
The sample is being prepared with use of aqueous extract that is most needed for quality of fruits and
vegetables. Those fruits and vegetables are actually allowing incubation so that they can use for
welfare of human. The human welfare is necessary in developing any model about human that can
affect directly and indirectly human community at large scale. The affect of vegetables and fruits is
glaring in cellular tissues. The selected way of sampling in costly but can best in future perspective.
The future of best quality food and vegetables ate large scale can acquire considerably through
sampling matters.
The sampling technique can get big filtering plants and those plants are costly according to finance.
The research purpose is to develop two kinds of process that may assure that absorption and exudation
are two ways of same authority. The absorption method is best that can initiate change according to

German Left Wing Terrorists
Prior to Germany s Autumn of Terror in 1977, concrete events lead the country down a path where a
necessary political student movement transpired and very quickly turned the student group into a
terrorist organization. Specifically, the attacks in May of 1972 launched the Red Army Factions
crusade against the government and the public. Just like the assassination of Archduke Franz
Ferdinand, heir to the Austrian throne, by Bosnian Serb nationalists sparked World War I, the killing
of a teenager, Benno Ohnesorg, by German police sparked a radical student movement that would
change Germany once again. The death of Benno Ohnesorg was also a reminder of government
sanctioned murders during World War II under Hitler, which was once again present in post war
Germany. Moreover, individualism from youths inspired the idea of needing an opposition party so
Germany does not keep bonds with old practices. The youths felt that conservatives needed to be
pushed a side in order for the country to move forward. Deriving from the student protest movement
in West Germany, the Red Army Faction s attacks and juvenile reactions, during their first and second
generational existence, ultimately led Germany to a third reign of terror giving even less credibility to
the left wing radical group and their political ideology; further leading to the leaders suicidal, arguably
homicidal, deaths.
Although the RAF only had fifty official members, who were all privileged and well educated youths,

Complexity Science And Systems Thinking
In the prior chapter, I established both the multiplicity and malleability of identity and its role in
conflict transformation. I will now explore the literature on complexity science and systems thinking.
More specifically, I investigate the self as a complex adaptive system to support the transformation of
self, society, and conflict. First I will look at complexity science and systems thinking to bring some
clarity and definition to the inquiry, then I will explore the sciences that attribute the self as a system,
and furthermore, as a complex adaptive system in order to illuminate the various aspects of self that
contribute to transformative processes. Complexity Systems Complexity. Complexity theory, also
known as complexity science, or complex systems, is a unifying framework to understand how parts
of a system and their relationships give rise to the collective behaviors of a system, and how the
system interacts and forms relationships with its environment. Complexity (as I will refer henceforth
for ease), identified underlying parallels in phenomena as diverse as the rise and fall of civilizations,
the human immune system, the origins of life, the evolution of species, the workings of the human
brain, the onset of psychiatric illnesses, ecological systems, genetic selection, and the world economy.
The application is prevalent in biology, mathematics, philosophy, medicine, neuroscience, sociology,
anthropology, ecology, psychology, and philosophy, basically

Huckleberry Finn Weather Analysis
Weather plays an important role in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. In one part of the book, Jim
predicts that it will rain and it does. While the rain is coming down, they find a river house with a dead
body inside. Jim then covers up the dead body in order to protect Huck, while they both steal
valuables from the house. The rain represents the mysteriousness surrounding the dead body and the
house. It is later revealed in the book that the dead body was Huck s father. In this case, the rain is also
restorative. Huck is now able to become his old self before his father returned to his life because his
father is dead now. The rain in this case has a dual meaning of mysteriousness and restoration. Later
on, Huck and Jim stumble upon a shipwreck ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the twenty first century, a reader sees a God helping Odysseus enact revenge on a couple of suitors.
In our modern society, we view murder as wrong no matter how it is justified. Even revenge murder is
murder in our current society. However, based on a contemporary view, a reader would understand
why Odysseus killed all the suitors. Odysseus was defending his honor. Back when the book was
written, the justice system was not as complex as it is today. The killing of men to defend your honor
was seen as justifiable. In addition, the god and goddess in that time had more of a meaning than in
our society today. In the book, Homer assumes that we know about the god and goddess, but
nowadays, many of us do not know their significance. In contemporary times, the reader would
understand why Athena is helping Odyssey achieve his revenge. It is because Athena is the goddess of
wisdom, law, and justice. Athena is helping him obtain law and justice. A modern reader might miss
this connection. The reader might see the killing of the suitors as unjustified, but to a contemporary
reader, the killings are sanctioned by law and

Bodybuilding And Its Effect On The Body
Bodybuilding has been around for centuries, it began as a Greek idea to transform the body. The exact
definition of bodybuilding is the practice of strengthening and enlarging the muscles of the body
through exercises. Greeks would primarily use large stones of different weight to gain muscular
enhancement. Though their techniques seem incompetent compared to the training of modern day
bodybuilders it is not all that different. The stones substituted for modern weights and as a result they
were still able to accomplish impressive body transformations.
The first person to be recognized for modern day bodybuilding Eugene Sandow, he would let the
masses view his muscular figure in awe as he flexed on stage for the crowds. Though he was not being
compared to other bodybuilders on stage like present day bodybuilders would be, he was the first
person to use his physic strictly for aesthetic and viewing purposes. Most large muscular men at the
time used their bodies for wrestling or strength performance. Eugene became so popular he later
patented his own exercise equipment for the public. These workout devices included tension bands,
machine dumbbells, and spring pulleys.
In 1904 the first large scale bodybuilding competition took place in New York City at the Madison
Square Garden. The winner was Al Treloar, he was declared the most perfectly developed man in the
world. He was given a one thousand dollar cash prize which was a substantial amount of money at the
time.

Tierra Livre is a trip taken place during every spring break, both students and teachers can participate.
The organization started 20 years ago and Dowling Catholic has been involved for 13 years. Staff and
students spend a whole week in Brazil working with an organization centered on helping those in need
in the area especially young kids. Many students go on vacation with family and friends for spring
break but others take this opportunity to do mission work. Tierra livre has a mission on furthering
education but also doesn t sweat the small stuff, It s more about providing a safe place for these kids

Senior Sela Davis decided to go on this trip because she knew this would have a bigger impact on her
than going on another vacation. This experience was more than she expected it to be,
I was brought to tears when I met the kids because all they were asking for was love and the bare
minimum which is something many of the kids here take for granted, Davis said.
Davis didn t know what to expect about the whole trip but she was excited about meeting her host

William The Conqueror Oath
Feudalism was a dominant social system in the medieval Europe, in which the nobility held lands
from the Crown in exchange for military service, and vassals were in turn tenants of the nobles, while
the peasants were obliged to on their lord s land and give him homage, labor, and a share of the
produce, notionally in exchange for military protection. It lasted for many centuries, and was
introduced after William I defeated Harold at the Battle of Hastings. William was known as William
the Conqueror. He was known for his defeation over the Enlgish army. He wanted to be the king of
England, but before he could become the king he had to take over all of England. He forced his way to
London, but was not popular with people from England. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He figured that ifthe noblemen were willing to fight with him in battle and possibly lose their lives
that they were probably pretty loyal to him. They still had to work their land though. They had to
collect taxes and provide soldiers to William if war broke out. The noblemen also had to take an oath
before they got this land. They would take the oath over a bible which was a very important thing.
Very few people would break that oath because they feared being condemned to hell. The tenants in
cheif were the nobleman in a particular area. If you took the oath for a certain part of land, then you
are to take care of that land and anything that happens there. If anything is to go wrong you are to act
as if you are William. You are in charge. They soon divided their land into pieces because it was still
too large to govern. The tenants divided their land and the little pieces of land were given to trusted
Norman Knights, but they also had to be willing to fight for the tenants that gave the land. They still
had to collect taxes and provide soldiers as well. The people were always treated pretty harshly and
Norman knights were always a constant threat to fight against the England soldiers. The sub tenants,
the knights, were to keep the English people in their place. That was the only job they had, and if they

British Immigration After 1945
Immigration became a significant part of society in the post war period, it redefined the public s
perception regarding culture and attitudes in society. Despite this, it is worth noting that immigration
was not a new phenomenon in 1945. Britain had welcomed refugees in the past, notably the Irish who
became one of the largest groups throughout the 20th century. Many Europeans also sought refuge in
Britain, for example German refugees who fled to Britain in 1930 ; Peter Fryer notes on the existing
black community in Britain since the 16th century. However, the level of immigration after 1945 was
enough to redefine British culture and created an exclusive national identity by where Britishness is
now recognised through the colour of your skin. Race as a concept has also transformed, with culture
being a major element in British society. Politics has also had a major influence, with the introduction
of immigration laws bringing equality among Britain s citizens, although this could highlight the
opinions of the public with the need for legislation to be introduced. The economy thrived with
immigration, noting on the Windrush which allowed the empty gaps in employment to be filled.
However, despite the progress that has been made due to immigration, the reaction of the people wasn
t always as positive, subsequently leading to racial tensions and a lack of respect among the people for
immigration. These aspects are very significant when discussing the development of

Pregnancy Or The Coexistence Of An Intrauterine And An...
Heterotopic pregnancy or the coexistence of an intrauterine and an extrauterine pregnancy occurs in
about 1 out of 30,000 pregnancies. Between Assisted Reproductive Techniques and ovulation
induction, it is said to occur more commonly with the former. The patient presented in this case is a 29
year old primigravid who underwent ovulation induction with Clomiphene Citrate and was later on
diagnosed to have both an intrauterine and a non viable extrauterine pregnancy. The management for
this kind of pregnancy can be medical, surgical or expectant. The patient in this case was managed
expectantly. This case study presents a review or literature on heterotopic pregnancy, and describes
how this rare type of pregnancy developed in this index patient, how it is diagnosed and managed, and
its possible consequences to the mother and the live fetus.
Keywords: heterotopic pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, Assisted Reproductive Technique, Clomiphene

INTRODUCTION A heterotopic type of pregnancy is considered a complication and not a natural
consequence because it usually happens to women who are at high risk for having an ectopic
pregnancy or those who undergo ovulation induction1, as seen in our index case. It is a simultaneous
occurrence of an intrauterine and an ectopic pregnancy which can implant anywhere outside of the
endometrial cavity. In 93.9 percent of cases, the ectopic pregnancy usually occurs in the fallopian
tubes but other sites such as the ovaries and the

The Functions Of Nonverbal Communication
1.9. Nonverbal communication:
Nonverbal communication transmits messages that are not expressed by words and can be coded by
creating different meanings. Nonverbal communication can replace, repeat, contradict, complement or
enhance the message conveyed through words. It can be defined very simply as a type of
communication without words. The importance of nonverbal communication was demonstrated in
1967 by Albert Mehrabian. Following a study that concluded that only 7% of the content of a message
is transmitted through verbal communication, while 38% is transmitted through voice and 55% by
body language. (Ronald Adler 2006, 154)

Functions of nonverbal communication:
The functions of nonverbal communication relate to the intentions, motives and goals of this form of

The repetition is the function that people use to points out by the use words where a street is. They
also use hand gestures and signs in order to communicate; in this case we can say that it refer to the
doubling of words by signs.
The function of substitution involves replacing a word or a verbal expression with a gesture of
combination of gestures.
The complementary function refers to the fact that messages are transmitted verbally accompanied by
a nonverbal way of transmission of information, which is in addition to the sent verbal message.
The accentuating function involves emphasizing verbal messages by gesturing and pointing, exactly
when the word we want to emphasize is pronounced. In a text we emphasize important words using
italic or bold fonts, so the main idea will be much easier understood.
The function of adjustment refers to the fact that nonverbal communication allows us to control the

Modernism Essay
Modernism is characterized by the rejection of tradition. Creatives of the Modernist era questioned
what came before, looking for fresh ways to interpret familiar subjects, rejecting historical themes
while searching for a means to understand and communicate the present (Medina 1995). Furthermore,
Belting (2003, 17) states Modernism embraced all the crises and schisms of the modern world . The
key points of this paper will be ascertained through the evaluation of four European Modernist
artworks produced between 1860 and 1935. These artworks include La Montagne Saint Victoire by
Paul Cézanne displaying angular lines, color modulation, and geometricized forms; a classic example
of Divisionism and Pointillism by Georges Seurat Sunday ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Modernism s quest for creative possibilities encouraged artists to produce visually distorted depictions
of standard subjects, whilst others began exploring subject matter devoid of any relationship with
observable surroundings, resulting in abstraction. (Nicholls 2009).
A discernible example of Modernism s rejection of earlier artistic tradition is La Montagne Saint
Victoire (figure 2) by Paul Cézanne (1902 4). Cézanne produced over thirty oil paintings and
numerous watercolors on the topic of Mont Sainte Victoire, portraying nature as geometrized shapes
and pronounced colour sequences (Courchia et al. 2011). In La Montagne Saint Victoire, Cézanne
created a streamlined, structured landscape, using angular territories of pigment and elementary
shapes of ...cylinder, sphere and the cone (De La Croix, Gardner, and Tansey 1975, 701). Cézanne s
unblended fields of color, and vibrant to cool modulation, created spatial dimension enhanced by
prismatic and lustrous qualities. Rather than imitate the visual experience of the physical world as
observed in prior traditions such as Neoclassicism and Realism, Cézanne embraced the confines of the
two dimensional surface, placing colorful fragments in harmonious arrangements to realize the
essence of the motif (Miller 2017; Loran 1970), consequently, Cézanne s new pictorial imagery
inspired ground breaking art trends such as Cubism and Symbolism (Lichtenstein 1964;

The Three Levels Of The Federal Court System
In the United States Government, there are three levels of the federal court system: District courts,
Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court. District courts were created after the Judiciary Act of 1789,
and consist of federal trial courts that do not cross state lines. They can use original jurisdiction on
some cases if they involve a federal government as a party, present a federal based question, or

who serves 7 years, and each court can range from 11 30 judges, depending on the workload and

decided in a federal district court. They have no original jurisdiction, but instead use appellate
jurisdiction over appeals from criminal cases, and from administrative agencies. The Supreme Court

Gender Issue in Bend It Like Beckham
Exploration of Race and Gender Identity in the Movie Bend it Like Beckham
SCL 4110 Gender and Culture Research Paper
Zairen Tasnin

Gurinder Chadha is a British filmmaker who wrote, directed and produced the movie Bend it Like
Beckham (G. Rings). The movie was premiered in the United States in 2003 and it had won praise
from both critics and moviegoers for its accurate representations of the Asian culture (G. Rings) and
initiating the topic for investigating a cross cultural study. Bend it like Beckham shows the socializing
of the Punjabi Sikh families and the British English societies. It also stages the battle of a young
teenage to breakdown the stereotypes placed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another concept of race in the movie revolves around the idea to ethnicity. When Jess s teammates
question her about an acceptable marriage in her culture, she states them that it would be unacceptable
to marry someone white or black and more importantly forbidden to marry a Muslim. From this scene
the audience can understand that she is only allowed to marry a Hindu Indian man as, if the groom is
not Indian then the in the society she will be considered the odd one which would also bring disgrace
to her family.
In Bend it Like Beckham the Indian culture is reconnoitered through conventional Sikh pious
principles. For instance the importance of cultural rituals, cookery, clothing, the traditional role of a
woman, and the particular importance given to elders (A. Ratna). The Indian Sikh culture integrates
prayers into their daily life. For example, the Bhamra family hung a portrait of Guru Nanak, the
founder of Sikhism and Jess s mother is regularly praying and talking to the portrait. Unlike her
mother, Jess has a portrait David Beckham, above her bed, and she is seen talking to the image about
issues present on in her life. This portrait has a comparable part in Jess s life as that to the portrait of
Guru Nanek.
In the Sikh culture, the clothing worn is a cultural symbol of faith (G. Rings). Jess s father wears the
turban and a beard to express his faith, and her mother wears

Personal Statement For Dentistry
I am a naturally driven individual. I have always had an instinctual curiosity about the world around
us. My mother and father, who were both raised in rural Poland, showed me hard work and
commitment is the only way to find success in life. My mother came overseas alone to support her
family in Poland after her father passed, and my father came to the United States after living and
working on his parent s farm for ten years. My parents arrived in this country with next to nothing,
and fought tooth and nail to build a life and family. It is only through their perseverance that I was
able to live a healthy, happy, and fulfilling childhood. As a result of having such incredibly strong role
models, I have become a motivated, thoughtful, independent young woman. I may not have the
personal connections and family influence in the field as some other applicants, but that does not
dilute my passion to pursue a career in dentistry. My self reliance has proved to me that I can do
anything I put my mind to, no matter who or what may stand in my way, and my parents taught me
that. It goes to show that even though I am working towards this career on my own, since I do not
have family or friends in dentistry to advise me, I am still just as dedicated to my academic and
extracurricular activities in the hopes of growing into a well rounded woman and dentist. Upon
recollecting what convinced me to pursue dentistry, I can pinpoint it to one specific experience. I
realized that I wanted

The Benefits of Organic Foods
Benefits of Organic Foods
Introduction:
In spite of the fact that organic foods have been proved to have a better effect on people s health in
comparison to conventional foods served in supermarkets, the fact that people continue to buy their
food without expressing interest in its provenience makes it possible for one to understand that the
masses have failed to comprehend the full complexity of the problem at hand. People need to
understand that the You are what you eat expression applies perfectly in their case and that it is
essential for them to get actively involved in creating lifestyles that reflect positively on their health.
Even with this, I have trouble determining whether or not organic foods are actually very important
when considering nutrition.
Body:
Organic foods from a global perspective dealing with profits and trends
Recent advancements in the medical world have made it possible for the masses to resort to taking
medicine whenever they feel ill. As a consequence, people came to consider that pills are the answer
to unhealthy diets and that they thus no longer require buying organic foods in order to live healthier.
It is thus essential to determine whether it would be more effective for individuals to stick to
traditional foods sold in non specialized shops or if it would be better for them to focus on consuming
organic foods only.
Individuals in the contemporary society follow a trend by expressing interest in buying organic foods
and retailers

The United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
The United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, otherwise known as the EEOC, is
responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or
employee because of the person s race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual
orientation, national origin, age if 40 or older, disability or genetic information. This also protects
individuals who have previously filed a complaint or charge related to discrimination or because of
personal involvement in an investigation or lawsuit concerning employment discrimination. This
coverage includes employers with 15 employees, but that number changes to 20 employees in age
discrimination cases as well as labor unions and employment agencies. The laws concerning EEOC
apply to all types of situations; hiring, firing, promotions, harassment, training, wages and benefits.
As EEOC as an organization, has the authority to investigate charges of discrimination against the
previously described employers who are covered by the law. The role the EEOC plays is to fairly and
accurately evaluate the accusations made by the employee and come to a conclusion. If it is confirmed
that discrimination has occurred, their job is to settle the charge in the appropriate manner. If there is
not sufficient evidence then it is their responsibility to file a lawsuit to protect the rights of the
employee filing the complaint and protect the interests of the public. Lawsuits are not always

A Missionary Is An Ambassador Of Christ
A missionary is an ambassador of Christ. Each must be yielded to the Lord, loving Him with all the
heart, soul, mind, and strength. Specifically, a missionary is one whom God sends through the support
of the Church to the unreached. All Christians, however, are called to be missionaries of the Gospel.
The Lord works through them to rescue the lost and hurting in this world. The lifestyle is definitely
not easy and is very extreme at times. Christianity is synonymous with a life of extreme danger. Yet

God continued to clarify this vision. It was in a short stint of plane repair in Mexico that Saint

Autism Spectrum Disorder Essay
Even with a substantial amount of research on the complex concept of Autism Spectrum Disorder
(ASD), much remains unknown when it comes to the root of this disorder. Study after study have
shown that there are multiple brain regions of the ASD brain that act differently when compared to
typically developing (TD) individuals. One area of the brain that researchers have shown an interest in
is the fusiform gyrus. The fusiform gyrus is a section of the brain that is located between the
parahippocampal gyrus and the lingual gyrus medially and the inferior temporal gyrus laterally on the
basal temporal and occipital cortex ( ). The reason why this area is critical to understanding the ASD
brain is its functions in color processing, word ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of ASD facial recognition, experimenters use fMRI to look at the FFA levels of activation
to compare to the TD control groups.
A common methodology for exploring the concept of face emotion recognition in individuals with
ASD is the comparing of brain activation in response to human faces compared to nonhuman faces or
objects. A key aspect of social cognition is being able to look at someone s face and interprete how
that individual is feeling. This is something that has been continuously found to be lacking in
individuals with ASD. Multiple studies have been conducted using human emotions, the faces of
animals, and inanimate objects such as houses. Whyte (2016) used animal faces an human faces to
measure activity in the high functioning autism (HFA) brain compared to the TD brain. The fMRI scan
results exhibited overall hypoactivation in the HFA individuals when compared to the TD control
individuals. Another interesting discovery that has been found consistently is the the FHA/ASD
individuals displayed higher activation in the facial functioning areas when viewing animals than
human faces. When compared to the TD participants, the HFA individuals did not have any difference
in the morphology of the brain structures under observation (Whyte, Behrmann, Minshew, Garcia,
Scherf, 2016) The fact that a difference in activation was found without any difference in the

Sonnet 73 Metaphors
In William Shakespeare s Sonnet 73, the speaker claims that through recognizing life s brevity, love
can be made stronger, and more permanent, by learning to appreciate the limited time each person has
left. Shakespeare establishes this argument by developing three metaphors comparing a succinct
amount of time to life. The first metaphor compares the seasons of a year to stages of life. The second
quatrain contains the next metaphor comparing the sun s journey across the sky to the speaker s
lifetime. And the final metaphor, found in the third quatrain, compares the glow of a fire to a lifetime.
Shakespeare s choice of applying shorter periods of time being compared to the speaker s lifetime
emphasizes the brevity of a person s life.

The tone strengthens the metaphor in this quatrain through adding emphasis that the speaker is still
reminiscing about what he has lost and has yet to look towards what the future holds.
The speaker starts the second quatrain, again, telling the listener to witness in him the approach of old
age. The extended metaphor in the second quatrain compares the sun s journey across the sky to the
speaker s lifetime. The speaker tells the listener that they can see the twilight of such day, as after
sunset fadeth in the west , or the aging of the speaker after the brightness and energy of his youth have
started to fade just like the sun does as it approaches the end of its journey. The speaker continues with
which by and by black night doth take away , black night signifying old age taking away what little
remains of the speaker s youthfulness, and the eventual passing away of the speaker. A shift in tone
occurs here from somber to one of forlorn as the speaker recognises that he will eventually die. The
speaker finishes the metaphor by explicitly saying the dark of night represents Death s second self,
that seals all up in rest. Night in the metaphor seals up all in eternal rest through death. The rhyme
between day and away draws attention to the number of days the speaker has left are diminishing. The
image of the diminishing number of days builds on the depressed tone already expressed in the
quatrain by emphasizing the certainty of

Characteristics, Issues And Trends Of The Region From An...
This report has been conducted on the East Asia region based on the information provided by the
universities of Kansas State and Massey. The focus of this report is to identify and describe important
characteristics, issues and trends of the region from an agricultural perspective. To provide an
introduction and insight first a brief summary of East Asia will be provided.
East Asia includes approximately 15 countries, within this there is a population of 1.974 billion
people. Of the total population 51% live within rural areas resulting in agriculture making up 11% of
GDP, which is considerably more than the likes of the US (1% of GDP). There is considerable
diversity between countries within East Asia. There are major differences between country s GDP per
capita and economic development, resulting in distinctive high, middle and low per capita GDP
groups as shown in figure 1. New Zealand in comparison would be in the high per capita group with a
GDP of $36,200. The East Asia countries in which agriculture makes up largest proportion of their
GDP are within the lower to middle GDP band and are Vietnam with 22%, Indonesia with 15% and
Thailand with 12%. Whereas in comparison to the likes of Japan who has the highest GDP per capita
within the region, agriculture only represents 1%. It can also be seen that the risk of investment
increases in East Asia as incomes reduce and that the middle income countries have considerable
growth potential.

How F1 Cars Have Drastically Limited For Safety Since 1994...
The Formula 1 series is perhaps the most intense, skillful, challenging motor sport in the world. This
racing consists of car companies ranging from Toyota to Ferrari all competing for one title of fastest in
the world. F1 cars are the fastest cars in the world as of today around all tracks reaching corning
speeds of 180 mph. However, there can be and have been faster f1 cars in the past. All Performance
aspects of f1 cars have been drastically limited for safety since 1994. I would propose that these laws
and regulations of the FIA should be removed and replaced to show what companies can do. By
creating new laws and regulations it would allow the full potential of making the ultimate race cars.
This is workable because formula 1 needs it to save themselves from a business perspective. A change
in law and regulation on the cars would bring f1 popularity back to life and make the cars achieve the
unbelievable. The FIA created a law known as the Equivalence systems of performance and
technologies for the f1 vehicles. This law mandates all cars regulatory standards to keep racing safe
and fair. The FIA created this law to level the racing for all participating car companies and the safety
for drivers and their teams. The largest regulations the FIA introduces into this law include: 1.
Minimum and maximum weight limits. 2. Minimum and maximum width and lengths. 3. Engine
displacement size of 1.6L and a configuration of a v6 engine at a 90 degree angle displacement with

Of God and Nature
Gloria Omole
1. There are two books that give me my divine stance: the one God wrote himself (scripture) and the
alternative for those who don t seek the bible (nature). Those who have not seen his teachings
firsthand know of him through his scripture. 2. The sun caused the ones that know him through
scripture to appreciate him; it was a miracle that was to be taken note of above all his other miracles 3.
The pagans knew how to read the word better than Christians themselves, although they read less into
it then those with faith do. 4. I do not forget to give God credit for nature, which is not the foundation
of motion and rest, but the normal pace of mankind. 5. Every new day is marked by the revolution of

War Poems
War is a time of violence, protest, death and pain for many people around the world. With this conflict,
a lot of poetry is written because poetry is one of the most common ways for people to put across their
feelings about situations. War is one of these situations for which many people have very strong
feelings.
A common theme in war poetry is the transformation that war brings about in a person. Many poems
reveal boys going into war and becoming young men after the experience. Another dominant theme in
war poems is about the forgotten soldiers who lost their lives and weren t remembered.

poetry was written before World War 1, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However Gibson uses his words well and there are some smart lines throughout the poem. The
rhyming is very simple and the final word in each line rhymes with the other final word in each two
lined stanza. The simple nature of the rhythm in the poem gives it a gentle flow which is very
appropriate for the subject matter.
The poet s ability to use basic words, structure and rhythm appropriately enables him to create a smart
and crisp poem. The simplicity of the poem allows the readers to recognize the serious subject matter
of the poem, which is war.
This next poem was written by me. I got the inspiration for this poem after reading a number of other
war poems and remembering all the people who lost their lives at war. It is called Young lives lost
The eerie night was torn
By the blistering light of dawn
Many soldiers, many very young,
Their first time holding a gun.
Some no more than 16 years
Bravely holding back the burning tears
Youth s ignorance had been lost
The line of no return was crossed
War had turned these boys to men
Many would never see home again
And unless the senseless killing is ceased
The departed souls will never rest in peace.
My poem is written in a similar style to Gibsons poem. I followed the same rhyming patterns, and
used a simple structure, however my poem uses some slightly more complicated words. The general
theme is the same, but

  • 2. Essay on Privacy Infringements through the Internet Today in society, people are expected to be able to protect their own privacy, but the very definition of privacy states that it is in no way completely attainable, nor will it ever be. And why would people want that when it has been proven that to achieve absolute privacy would mean to forfeit a place in society (Nehf)? But in recent years, privacy infringements through the Internet have gotten out of hand. Until privacy becomes a principal concern for Internet users, they remain unsafe, easy targets for deceitful scammers, other users, data collectors, and more. There are many problems surrounding the Internet and its current privacy systems, one of the biggest ones being the current user accountability arrangement. Currently, ... Many schools and organizations observe signs of Cyber bullying, but the Fourth Amendment banning illegal search and seizure prevents them from taking further action. Privacy infringements through the Internet are publicly viewed as the work of evil, foul criminals. But what if the person violating your privacy is your best friend? In many situations a violation of privacy is an embarrassing wall post or a mean video or tweet. This is a specifically hurtful instance because it is much more difficult to confront a friend instead of a faceless online perpetrator. Moreover, many individuals are perfectly will to violate their own privacy through revealing photos and the sharing of too much personal information, all for the sake of attention (Subrahmanyam). In 2010, there were several research studies done on Internet privacy, one of which being the amount of information that could be procured on a specific person in only 30 minutes of investigating them online (Kasper). The results were startling. The subject of the investigation s sex, age, race, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Discovery Of Oil And Its Impact On The Environment The discovery of oil has led to an abundance of new opportunities that have helped people create new inventions with the biggest being the automobile. Major corporations have arisen from The impact of oil derived, in large part, from its attractiveness as an energy dense, easily deliverable source of fuel for transportation. Oil is sometimes coined the term black gold because of its value. Corporations like Chevron have made billions of dollars in the oil industry. With the rise of oil, the destruction of the environment has also become a serious issue in some parts of the world. Oil spills that have taken place in the gulf and in the forests have had a huge impact on both the people and wildlife that have lived around these affected areas. Black streaks of oil are seen in the sand in some beaches still to this day and. But these are just some of the major environmental disasters oil companies like Chevron are responsible for. Chevron has also made an impact on the environment around its refineries, and it is not a positive impact. The waste that comes out of these refineries is dumped into the ocean, rivers, and these toxic waste sites severely hurt the environment in the process. One of the biggest issue the company faces, is with the country of Ecuador where a lawsuit was filed against Texaco, which was acquired by Chevron in 2001. The corporation was blamed for the mass pollution across the Amazon after the company left the refineries with mass traces of toxic waste ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. People Hating People throughout History People who put principles before people are people who hate people. They don t much care about how well it works, just about how right it is ... they may even like it better if it inflicts enough pain (John Barnes). People do not think too much of how their actions affect other human beings. They think making others feel less than who they are is completely ok, even with the level of National Security. It is not ok whatsoever. Instead of dehumanizing people and making them feel worthless and like animals National Security, and other humans, should treat people equally and not like objects, make them feel comfortable and not take away their rights because we are all human and all equal. Although people feel as though they can just take away a person s rights and identity because they feel they are more superior and important, they have no right to. The three veterans, with needles in their hands, engraved a number on our left arms. I became A7713. After that I had no other name. (Wiesel 39). Wiesel is talking about how his identity was just taken away from him. And how it was so easy to just become a number, and nothing but a number, so quickly. He had no other identity other than the one given to him when his original name was taken away from him. As a result, Mr. Wiesel and many other humans have and are being stripped of their identity and becoming, or have become, nothing but a number and an object. There are eighty of you in this wagon, added the German officer. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Popup Camper Research Paper After twenty two years of marriage and tent camping, we finally upgraded to a popup camper, which is considered to be entry level to travel trailers. We loved that popup camper (Note: Any time I say we loved, please understand I am excluding my daughter). For the first time in our camping lives we had air conditioning, running water, light that did not come from a flame, and although it was not much softer than the ground we had slept on for years, we had a bed off the ground. For the first time, we did not have to worry about a squirrel or skunk gnawing a hole in the side of the tent to get at the potato chips one of the kids had left on the tent floor. We actually had a place we could plug in a small heater during colder months without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was perfect! It had a full kitchen, a queen size bed, a dinette table that dropped down to make an extra bed if needed, and a full bath with a shower that had hot water. However, we quickly learned that rarely would it be just the two of us camping. All six grandchildren decided they wanted to go camping! As much as we were thrilled the grandkids wanted to camp with us, we realized two things quickly: first, there was barely enough room in our small travel trailer for us much less six extra little energetic bodies, and second, there was no way in Hades that we were going to be trapped in a tin can with six wild Indians. We upgraded again! Because we were still cheap, we bought another entry level travel trailer, but at least this time it was longer and had bunk beds. We also decided for our sanity that we would take no more than two grandchildren on any camping trip. However, shortly after getting the new camper, we caved in and took three of the mud slugs with us camping, and thereby, shot that resolution to hell. But, that s really a good thing. Camping is a lot like Disney World; it s the smile on children s faces that make it so special, especially if the faces belong to your ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. German Left Wing Terrorists Prior to Germany s Autumn of Terror in 1977, concrete events lead the country down a path where a necessary political student movement transpired and very quickly turned the student group into a terrorist organization. Specifically, the attacks in May of 1972 launched the Red Army Factions crusade against the government and the public. Just like the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austrian throne, by Bosnian Serb nationalists sparked World War I, the killing of a teenager, Benno Ohnesorg, by German police sparked a radical student movement that would change Germany once again. The death of Benno Ohnesorg was also a reminder of government sanctioned murders during World War II under Hitler, which was once again present in post war Germany. Moreover, individualism from youths inspired the idea of needing an opposition party so Germany does not keep bonds with old practices. The youths felt that conservatives needed to be pushed a side in order for the country to move forward. Deriving from the student protest movement in West Germany, the Red Army Faction s attacks and juvenile reactions, during their first and second generational existence, ultimately led Germany to a third reign of terror giving even less credibility to the left wing radical group and their political ideology; further leading to the leaders suicidal, arguably homicidal, deaths. Although the RAF only had fifty official members, who were all privileged and well educated youths, hundreds ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Complexity Science And Systems Thinking In the prior chapter, I established both the multiplicity and malleability of identity and its role in conflict transformation. I will now explore the literature on complexity science and systems thinking. More specifically, I investigate the self as a complex adaptive system to support the transformation of self, society, and conflict. First I will look at complexity science and systems thinking to bring some clarity and definition to the inquiry, then I will explore the sciences that attribute the self as a system, and furthermore, as a complex adaptive system in order to illuminate the various aspects of self that contribute to transformative processes. Complexity Systems Complexity. Complexity theory, also known as complexity science, or complex systems, is a unifying framework to understand how parts of a system and their relationships give rise to the collective behaviors of a system, and how the system interacts and forms relationships with its environment. Complexity (as I will refer henceforth for ease), identified underlying parallels in phenomena as diverse as the rise and fall of civilizations, the human immune system, the origins of life, the evolution of species, the workings of the human brain, the onset of psychiatric illnesses, ecological systems, genetic selection, and the world economy. The application is prevalent in biology, mathematics, philosophy, medicine, neuroscience, sociology, anthropology, ecology, psychology, and philosophy, basically ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While the rain is coming down, they find a river house with a dead body inside. Jim then covers up the dead body in order to protect Huck, while they both steal valuables from the house. The rain represents the mysteriousness surrounding the dead body and the house. It is later revealed in the book that the dead body was Huck s father. In this case, the rain is also restorative. Huck is now able to become his old self before his father returned to his life because his father is dead now. The rain in this case has a dual meaning of mysteriousness and restoration. In our modern society, we view murder as wrong no matter how it is justified. Even revenge murder is murder in our current society. However, based on a contemporary view, a reader would understand why Odysseus killed all the suitors. Odysseus was defending his honor. Back when the book was written, the justice system was not as complex as it is today. The killing of men to defend your honor was seen as justifiable. In addition, the god and goddess in that time had more of a meaning than in our society today. In the book, Homer assumes that we know about the god and goddess, but nowadays, many of us do not know their significance. In contemporary times, the reader would understand why Athena is helping Odyssey achieve his revenge. It is because Athena is the goddess of wisdom, law, and justice. Athena is helping him obtain law and justice. A modern reader might miss this connection. • 11. Bodybuilding And Its Effect On The Body Bodybuilding has been around for centuries, it began as a Greek idea to transform the body. The exact definition of bodybuilding is the practice of strengthening and enlarging the muscles of the body through exercises. Greeks would primarily use large stones of different weight to gain muscular enhancement. Though their techniques seem incompetent compared to the training of modern day bodybuilders it is not all that different. The stones substituted for modern weights and as a result they were still able to accomplish impressive body transformations. The first person to be recognized for modern day bodybuilding Eugene Sandow, he would let the masses view his muscular figure in awe as he flexed on stage for the crowds. Though he was not being compared to other bodybuilders on stage like present day bodybuilders would be, he was the first person to use his physic strictly for aesthetic and viewing purposes. Most large muscular men at the time used their bodies for wrestling or strength performance. Eugene became so popular he later patented his own exercise equipment for the public. These workout devices included tension bands, machine dumbbells, and spring pulleys. In 1904 the first large scale bodybuilding competition took place in New York City at the Madison Square Garden. The winner was Al Treloar, he was declared the most perfectly developed man in the world. He was given a one thousand dollar cash prize which was a substantial amount of money at the time. They would take the oath over a bible which was a very important thing. Very few people would break that oath because they feared being condemned to hell. The tenants in cheif were the nobleman in a particular area. If you took the oath for a certain part of land, then you are to take care of that land and anything that happens there. If anything is to go wrong you are to act as if you are William. You are in charge. They soon divided their land into pieces because it was still too large to govern. The tenants divided their land and the little pieces of land were given to trusted Norman Knights, but they also had to be willing to fight for the tenants that gave the land. They still had to collect taxes and provide soldiers as well. The people were always treated pretty harshly and Norman knights were always a constant threat to fight against the England soldiers. • 14. British Immigration After 1945 Immigration became a significant part of society in the post war period, it redefined the public s perception regarding culture and attitudes in society. Despite this, it is worth noting that immigration was not a new phenomenon in 1945. Britain had welcomed refugees in the past, notably the Irish who became one of the largest groups throughout the 20th century. Many Europeans also sought refuge in Britain, for example German refugees who fled to Britain in 1930 ; Peter Fryer notes on the existing black community in Britain since the 16th century. However, the level of immigration after 1945 was enough to redefine British culture and created an exclusive national identity by where Britishness is now recognised through the colour of your skin. Race as a concept has also transformed, with culture being a major element in British society. Politics has also had a major influence, with the introduction of immigration laws bringing equality among Britain s citizens, although this could highlight the opinions of the public with the need for legislation to be introduced. The economy thrived with immigration, noting on the Windrush which allowed the empty gaps in employment to be filled. However, despite the progress that has been made due to immigration, the reaction of the people wasn t always as positive, subsequently leading to racial tensions and a lack of respect among the people for immigration. Nonverbal communication: Nonverbal communication transmits messages that are not expressed by words and can be coded by creating different meanings. Nonverbal communication can replace, repeat, contradict, complement or enhance the message conveyed through words. It can be defined very simply as a type of communication without words. The importance of nonverbal communication was demonstrated in 1967 by Albert Mehrabian. Following a study that concluded that only 7% of the content of a message is transmitted through verbal communication, while 38% is transmitted through voice and 55% by body language. Creatives of the Modernist era questioned what came before, looking for fresh ways to interpret familiar subjects, rejecting historical themes while searching for a means to understand and communicate the present (Medina 1995). Furthermore, Belting (2003, 17) states Modernism embraced all the crises and schisms of the modern world . The key points of this paper will be ascertained through the evaluation of four European Modernist artworks produced between 1860 and 1935. Modernism s quest for creative possibilities encouraged artists to produce visually distorted depictions of standard subjects, whilst others began exploring subject matter devoid of any relationship with observable surroundings, resulting in abstraction. (Nicholls 2009). A discernible example of Modernism s rejection of earlier artistic tradition is La Montagne Saint Victoire (figure 2) by Paul Cézanne (1902 4). Cézanne produced over thirty oil paintings and numerous watercolors on the topic of Mont Sainte Victoire, portraying nature as geometrized shapes and pronounced colour sequences (Courchia et al. 2011). In La Montagne Saint Victoire, Cézanne created a streamlined, structured landscape, using angular territories of pigment and elementary shapes of ...cylinder, sphere and the cone (De La Croix, Gardner, and Tansey 1975, 701). Cézanne s unblended fields of color, and vibrant to cool modulation, created spatial dimension enhanced by prismatic and lustrous qualities. Rather than imitate the visual experience of the physical world as observed in prior traditions such as Neoclassicism and Realism, Cézanne embraced the confines of the two dimensional surface, placing colorful fragments in harmonious arrangements to realize the essence of the motif (Miller 2017; Loran 1970), consequently, Cézanne s new pictorial imagery inspired ground breaking art trends such as Cubism and Symbolism (Lichtenstein 1964; ... • 21. The Three Levels Of The Federal Court System In the United States Government, there are three levels of the federal court system: District courts, Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court. District courts were created after the Judiciary Act of 1789, and consist of federal trial courts that do not cross state lines. They can use original jurisdiction on some cases if they involve a federal government as a party, present a federal based question, or involve civil suits with citizens. The United States attorney, who is nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate, is the district s chief law enforcement officer. Courts of Appeals was established in 1789 to hear appeals from federal district courts. They are overseen by the chief judge, who serves 7 years, and each court can range from 11 30 judges, depending on the workload and complexity of cases. These courts appeal cases by the losing party that have already been heard and decided in a federal district court. They have no original jurisdiction, but instead use appellate jurisdiction over appeals from criminal cases, and from administrative agencies. The Supreme Court reviews cases at the center of highly controversial issues that the political process has yet to resolve successfully.
