Honey Bees And Its Effects On Bees
Bees are a vital source to most of the daily products that we use today. From the food we eat, to the
trees outside. Without them, there will be no greenery or some of our favorite foods. That is why it is
necessary to protect their well being. Therefore multiple solutions have been recommended to
preserve their existence, in healthy and efficient environments.
Recently, studies are showing a dramatic decrease of the bee population. As a result, there have been
fewer instances of the great pollination process performed by the bees, therefore affecting the food and
produce whose growth process are dependant on the bees. Honey bees originally came from Europe,
but the problem of the decreasing population became known after Pollination Week declared by the
senate and governors on June 22nd. The reasoning behind the lack of bees on agriculture farms, is due
to the harmful pesticide spray. Denied access to neonics, farmers will inevitably revert to spraying
their fields either from the ground or by plane with older and more dangerous insecticides (Rodgers
Media 6). Furthermore, because there are fewer pollinators, the food they help flourish have become a
worry to researchers. The world would be a desolate place without our pollinating friends, devoid of
flowers, flowering plants and many of our favorite foods (Hannon Gerald 9). Implies the importance
of the bees handiwork in the production of the produce that we eat. Although it is costly in order to
transport the

How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Distracted Driving
In today s society, our moble devices have become our pirmary means of communication. While there
have been many positive results from this improved technology, it has also created one very dangerous
situation, distracted driving. Distracted driving has always been a problem with people changing radio
stations, eating and drinking while driving, or simply looking at people walking down the street
instead of keeping their eyes on the road. Texting and driving has created a far worse situation than
any of these common distractions. Many laws have already been put in place to help curb this issue,
but none of them have been very successful thus far. The question is: Is it time to enact laws against
texting and driving as tough as drinking and driving laws? It used to be when you saw a driver
weaving back and forth, crossing double yellow lines or driving erratically, you assumed they were
intoxicated. Nowadays, when you see any of these occurences, your first thought is, I bet they re
texting and driving. The problem is so epidemic that there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I believe it is time to start enacting similar laws for texting and driving to slow down the current trend
and start protecting innocent people from their irresponsible act. Current advertising campaigns have
not proven to be effective enough, therefore it is time for the public to ask their state legislators to
begin work on tougher laws. Too many lives and families have been destroyed by someone texting
and driving. Before I or anyone else has to endure this type of tragedy, it is time to put tougher laws in
place. In my opinion, I believe that anyone that is ticketed for texting and driving should automatically
lose their license for a minimum of six months to a year and attend a driver improvement class. Any
repeat offenders should receive stiffer penalties similar to drunk

Magna Carta Vs English Bill Of Rights Analysis
During the formation of the United States, colonists were receptive to the governments that came
before them. Earlier governments, set strong precedents, and taught American Colonists the favored
methods of creating constitutions. Two examples of ideal constitutions were the Magna Carta and the
English Bill of Rights. The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights were viewed by the colonists
and were stepping stones for the creation of the United States. Specific segments of these documents
were taken and transferred to the United States Constitution, due to the overall proof of success and
benefits that it presented to earlier governments. Without some of the principles set in these two
documents, the United States might not have been the way we see it today. In England, the year 1215,
the Magna Carta stood as the earliest example of a document limiting the king s power. Many of the
principles set by the Magna Carta, such as the rule of law, basic rights, and government by agreement
were transferred to the American Constitution. The most important principle transferred, however, was
the idea of limited government. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since it was written in 1689, it has been an important cornerstone of the British constitution. This Bill
contained two important principles : the rule of law and human rights and freedoms. As the most well
known example, the document gives us freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and freedom of
religion. These freedoms established by the English Bill of Rights are related to the natural rights
philosophy in many ways. One of these ways is because of the basic human rights. When we are born,
from the first breath we take, we are given the right of life, liberty, and estate. Press, speech/opinion,

I am Pratik Patel, a normal boy nothing special, but I have things to compare to the main character of
the last Olympian Percy. I am funny, caring, friendly, emotional and more. one difference from me and
Percy is that I am emotional because of what happened to my cousin s great grandmother when she
passed away and I never knew anything about her, and everyone in my family was crying or sad, I end
up being sad and depressed. My friend think of me as a funny guy because of my statement or I am

The Shape Memory Effect And Super Elasticity
INTRODUCTION
The Shape Memory Alloys are quite fascinating materials characterised by a Shape Memory effect and
Super elasticity, which ordinary metals and alloys do not have. This unique behaviour was first found
in Au 47.5%Cd alloy in 1951, and was publicised by its discovery in a Ti Ni alloy in 1963. After much
research and development thereafter, shape memory alloys are now being practically used as new
functional alloys for pipe couplings, antennae for cellular phones and various actuators in electrical
appliances, etc. Furthermore, they have attracted keen attention as promising candidate for smart
materials since they function as sensors as well as actuators.
The shape memory effect and super elasticity are based on the diffusion less transformation called
martensitic transformation. The Shape memory effect is a unique property of certain alloys exhibiting
martensitic transformations. Even though the alloy is deformed in low temperature phase, it recovers
its original shape by reverse transformation upon heating to a critical temperature called reverse
transformation temperature. Many other alloys such as In T1, 3, 4 Cu Zn and Cu Al Ni were also
found. The same alloys have another unique property called Super elasticity at a higher temperature,
which is associated with a large (18%) nonlinear recoverable strain upon loading and unloading. Since
these alloys have a unique property in remembering the original shape, having an actuator function
and having

A History of Roller Coasters Essay
Roller coasters are one of the most popular rides when you go to an amusement park with everybody
in your family. Why are they so scary for some people while for others it is just another adrenaline
rush? Roller Coasters are one of the most complicated rides to build and to actually ride. There are
some people who just have fun building something to have a quick adrenaline rush before going to
work. Roller coasters have some of the most interesting design and history; they have become one of
the world s famous rides at every amusement park. The first real roller coaster was built in 1878 on
Coney Island which was built by La Marcus Thompson. The roller coaster was made out of wood and
went down hill. To get to this roller coaster you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Kids and parents would both have fun going on the ride together. The kiddie coaster was introduced
by Herb Schmeck. Most of the roller coaster wouldn t go any higher than forty feet up in the air. When
it came to the 1960 s amusement parks were fighting to see who had the best roller coasters. It had
turned into an arms race for amusement parks in the US. Over sixteen million dollars was used that
year to help create new parks and rides. Places like Six Flags had become very big, to the point where
they started to expand in 1963 which was huge. This meant they had three parks they were running in
the US. Wooden roller coasters also dominated the 60 s because they were brought to a whole new
level. They had become faster and you were able to create more effects with the railway. You were
able to drop a hundred feet down and go under another part of the track, without getting hurt. When it
came to the 1970 s nothing much happened except for what is known as the baby boom of amusement
parks. Amusement parks were popping up everywhere in the US. Six Flags had become an amusement
park chain for the country and other parks were popping up everywhere. The biggest part about this
boom was what type of roller coasters people were building. Steel roller coasters were popping up
everywhere in the country and they were nothing like anyone had seen before. They were faster than

Retail Environmental Factors That Influence Consumer...
Introduction
Consumer buying behavior has became great interest to the marketing researches (Ali Hasnu 2013, p.
1). Understanding the consumer buying behavior unable the mall managers plan effective marketing
strategies. Researchers have identified number of different factors that influence consumer buying
behavior. Retail environmental factors is one of these factors. This literature review seeks to identify
the retail environmental factors that influence consumer buying behavior. The structure of this
literature review is as follows. Firstly, the review describes the search process for the relevant studies.
Following this, the review then explains the studies thematic analysis. Finally, the review provides an
overall discussion of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, a manual search was conducted in order to find other relevant studies and, from this
process, 2 studies was found relevant. Overall, 9 studies were included in this review.
Thematic analysis
After a process of individual analysis of the selected studies, the articles were grouped together
according to recurrent themes that emerged from the findings. In this literature review, three major
themes were identified which include; window displays, music and shop crowding.
Finding
Window displays
In relation to window display, three studies reported that there is a positive relationship between
consumers buying behavior and window display (Ali Hasnu 2013, Karbasivar Yarahmadi 2011 and
Tendai Crispen 2009). According to Ali Hasnu (2013, p.7) consumers buying decision is influenced by
the physical attractiveness of store displays. Consumers develop their first impressions by the store
displays which emotionally attract them to the product and buy that product (Ali Hasnu 2013, p.7).
Similarly, Tendai Crispen (2009, p. 107) reported that attractive window displays increases sales as
consumers purchase unplanned products. Moreover, the finding of Karbasivar Yarahmadi (2011) study
indicated that window display has strong effect on encouraging consumers to buying more and
enjoying their shopping time. In order to trigger shopping among consumers, store managers must
ensure attractive store displays (Ali Hasnu 2013, p. 7).

Mythical Roles Of Krishna In Mahabharata
In light of recent events (?? What s the name ??) at iitk as well as new clubs like Bhakti Vedanta club I
was forced to collect my thoughts on why I don t find Krishna in Bhagwad Gita, even remotely useful
as an ethical role model. First lets see the historical context in which the book was written. If you are
the sort of person who thinks that _Mahabharata_ was not just a folklore, probably inspired by some
old war around modern Delhi, constantly being rewritten and reimagined in oral transmission over the
years by numerous bards, then I request you to stop reading any further as it will be a waste of time
for both of us. Although I haven t read the _Mahabharata_ in its entirety, I personally find it a fabulous
of epic about the dilemma of power and probably, the most harrowing of the ancient epics. And just
like the Homeric epics, I find no reason, why _Mahabharata_ hasn t been reworked heavily over the
years. My favorite aspect about _Mahabharata_ as a story is there is no single party line on any
subject. Characters and their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am surprised, why Krishna s wisdom don t seem suspicious to most people and Arjuna seldom finds
any sympathy for his initial doubts about the war? To me, _Mahabharata_ comes out decidedly anti
war, with no one actually victorious . I find Steven Pinker s basic thesis in _Better Angels of our
Nature_ that humans over the years are orienting away from violence and better moral sense,
extremely compelling. You might say, we had Ashoka and Buddha popularizing non violence much
before that. This is true, but one must realize this was only a tiny blip in the years of wars all over the
land now considered India. I would like to make it clear that my intention is not to offend people but
to unsettle people into thinking more deeply about the milieu around them. Hopefully the believers
may find wisdom to forgive my indiscretions, in their

Herman Melville s Bartleby, The Scrivener
Herman Melville s Bartleby, the Scrivener
Born in New York City on August 1st, 1819, Herman Melville led a life that commenced in partial
fame and success, but ended in poverty and despair. Although unjustly criticized for the purposeless
extravagance and disorderliness of his writing, due to his digressions into many different topics while
discussing a single one, especially in his most celebrated novel today, though most criticized and
unappreciated in his time, Moby Dick, Herman Melville is considered one of the most important
figures in American Literature today. Herman Melville is the most Shakespearean of our authors,
according to Herald Bloom, an American literary critic. Other literary critics deem his works the most
crucial achievements in American literature, and literary creations of a high order blending fact,
fiction, adventure and subtle symbolism. Melville communicated his genius not only through his
impeccable use of language and engrossing creation of plot, but also and mainly through his
development of more than merely unique or odd characters characters he called original. Noting
Melville s view of himself as an author, more than that of himself as a person, is significant to the
understanding of his notion of the original character, and to the understanding of his literary original
characters. It is especially essential to the understanding of one of his most intriguing fictional
characters: Bartleby. In his short story Bartleby, the

celebration . This is the formal presentation for young women in the culture to be presented to society.
This particular coming of age celebration was a formal affair with a strict dress code of a suit and tie
for the men, dresses for the women and a ball gown for Michelle, with the color theme of the
celebration being pink and lavender.
Much of my visit was spent with Michelle, Christopher and Ojay the three children of Nopracio and
Loretta, because we are relatively all close in age and we have children the same ages. Michelle has
matured into a young adult, she has physically slowed down in growth, but she is still growing both in
social development and emotional development. She is a beautiful woman now her hair is long down
to the middle of her back and she is no longer preoccupied with her body changing, consequently she
has discovered that her beauty is unsurpassed and she is now in command of her own physical body.
However, she does not realize that she still has emotional and social growth continuing ahead of her.
Spending time with Michelle is a delight. He cognitive abilities are through the roof. She is making
plans for which college to attend based of her desire to become a pediatrician. She has set long term
goals for where she wants to be in 10 years and has made smaller goals to get to that step. She
currently has a job working at the youth center

Australia s Film And Television Industry
Australia s film and television industry has experienced drastic changes since the rise of national
cinema. Leading the world film industry, Australia was home to the first film studio and feature film at
the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906) toured
England from 1908 as the longest film ever made, popularising a new genre of bushranger movies and
epitomising the Ned Kelly legend as a significant aspect in Australian cultural identity (Juddery,
2008). The beginning of Australia s film industry built itself on bushranger films, with the focus being
local audiences rather than foreign, as stated by Judder. However, power struggles within the industry
and banning of the bushranger genre saw to the quick demise of the film industry in 1912. Another
aspect contributing to the demise is the emergence of competition with Britain and the US releasing
two feature films each to Australia s eight, later decreasing to three against the US 212 in 1914. Soon
thereafter, the industry was dominated by foreign productions. This is evidenced in the 1994
documentary Celluloid Heroes, which states that during one week in 1959, 1500 fine dramatic actors
appeared on Melbourne television, and only 5 Australians , resulting in the 1960 Postmaster General
Charles Davidson to implement local content requirements, beginning with TV stations required to

Chinese students in China are more inter dependant on the self construal variable which relates to the
educational and cultural environment being an influence on it .Further examinations have been done to

Connectivity And Coverage Of Wsns Are Based On Upon A Lot...
The research efforts that addressed for the connectivity and coverage issues in WSNs are based on
upon a lot of theories and assumptions. The basic concepts of connectivity and coverage are essential
for understanding this issue. In this section, we describe the notions of connectivity and coverage, the
category of sensor nodes, sensing models and communication models.
A. Connectivity and coverage
We consider a WSN in which the sensor nodes have both sensing ability and short distance wireless
communication ability. The objective of the deployment of the WSN is to keep the FoI under strict
surveillance/collect data and then forward the obtained information to a designated gateway/data sink.
Hence, coverage and connectivity are the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, we consider this connected WSN as 1 connected. Depends on the different connectivity/failure
resilience requirement, the stronger types of connectivity need to be considered, i.e., k connectivity.
Based on the definition of connectivity in the graph theory, which is it asks for the minimum number
of elements (nodes or edges) that need to be removed to disconnect the remaining nodes from each
other , k connectivity means that the network can keep its connectivity by removing at most k 1 nodes
from itself. In this case, a network with k connectivity and k 1 has much better fault
tolerance/resilience than a network with only 1 connectivity. Since the nodes in a WSN could be failed
randomly which are caused by battery depletion or wireless interference, preserving the k connectivity
is critical for WSN and could extend the life time of a WSN. Li et al. [6] provided a good survey on
connectivity and coverage in WSNs.
Besides the connectivity, the concept of coverage is another fundamental need to be understood for
designing a WSN based system. The coverage is always considered as a measurable metric to evaluate
the level of the monitoring for a specific FoI. Based on specified requirements of different
applications, the

The European Union is transnational meaning multinational or international. Some of the major

European Union, include World War Two, communism protests in Hungary, the launching of Sputnik,
and the creation of a common market in Rome. Some of the nations that make up the European Union

Inventing The People Morgan Analysis
In Inventing the People, Morgan initially makes a radical claim that the entire foundation upon which
American democracy was built, is a fiction. What follows is a three hundred page analysis of what
Morgan calls political fictions. These fictions have been developed throughout our history, most
notably, the fictions of the divine right of kings and the sovereignty of the people. Systematically,
Morgan breaks down these fictions to their root, unveiling the shaky basis upon which they lie, and
then revealing all of the pitfalls inherent in their actual realization, to indicate the modified form of
these political fictions that we know today. Morgan argues that the problem with political fictions is
that they have become so ingrained in societal thought that we are ... Show more content on

Thus, he begins with an example he claims Americans today can all understand as an obvious fiction,
the political fiction developed during the reign of James I (1603 1625): the divine right of kings.
While it may seem clear to Americans today that such an idea was not entirely sound, English citizens
at the time fell victim to the classic logic inherent in political fictions, the idea that, the fiction has
always been real and is simply a part of society as we know it. However, our ability to discern fact
from fiction in the case of the divine right of kings serves Morgan s point that a political fiction is also
present today, yet we are now the ones falling victim to the fiction. In the transition from the fiction of
divine right to that of popular sovereignty, one

The Branches of the US Government
The structure of the United States Government created by the founding fathers is a foundation that
holds the country together. It has gathered the trust of the American citizens and used it to make
decisions that make America a better nation. The government is made up of three main branches, the
Legislative branch, the Executive branch, and the Judicial branch. The branches are vital to America s
social and political integrity and the organization is considered one of the most unique forms of
government in the world today. The three branches work together to face and solve the problems that
confront the nation as a whole. The government changes as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This is because the population of the United States has grown, and also because the viewpoints of
those populations has changed overtime as different generations come into power that have different
ideas for the country. When the government was first founded there was a population of 3,513,183
people in the United States. The government was formed to compensate the growth of the country, but
they stopped putting more people into the House when they reached 435 in 1917. If they had
continued putting representatives in for every 50,000 people as they were before there would be about
6,000 people in the House. The ratio used to be one representative for every 50,000 citizens, but now
it is one for every 710,676 citizen (Members of Congress Questions and Answers). This gives the
people less input because there are less representatives to state their opinions. Although more of the
representatives are more diverse both by gender and ethnicity.
When first created, the Legislative branch had a lot of power, as a result a system to keep the power in
check was created. no law or resolution can pass without agreement, first of the majority of the people
(via the House) and then of the States (represented by the Senate). This complicated Legislative may
hinder as well as help (Hamilton 93). When the Senate comes up with a bill or law it has to be agreed
with by the House

Critical Review Of Educating Rita
Review of Educating Rita
Educating Rita is a dramatic and comedic play about the differences in social class and education in
Britain. The play takes place in the nineteen seventies to the nineteen eighties and is furthermore
written by English playwright, lyricist, and composer William Russell. William Russell, also known as
Willy Russell, was once a hairdresser himself, just like Rita. Though, today he is better known as the
playwright of many successful plays, such as Shirley Valentine and Blood Brothers.
Educating Rita is a play about twenty seven year old Rita from Liverpool. Rita is married to her
husband Denny, who is never seen on stage, and works as a women s hairdresser. Rita lives a
mediocre life as a part of Britain s working ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The director of the play was Barry McKenna, who has previously directed for That Theatre. He has
also directed modern versions of various famous Shakespeare plays, for instance, Twelfth Night. With
Barry McKenna s previous experiences with interpreting classical plays, I had very high hopes for his
interpretation of Educating Rita.
In Educating Rita, only two people are shown on stage, Rita and Frank. Dawn Wall, a British actress,
played the role of Rita, and Ian Burns played the role of Frank. Ian Burns is British as well and is also
the co founder of That Theatre. Furthermore, he has featured in multiple other plays, in Denmark and
directed by Barry McKenna, such as Proof and Blood Brothers.
Language is of very high importance in Educating Rita. Dawn Wall made a great effort in emphasizing
Rita s roots and social status by staying in a Liverpool inspired Scouse accent, almost throughout the
entire play. This was in stark contrast to Frank s posh and upper class dialect which was combined
with a very intellectual and wide vocabulary. Dawn Wall s way of speaking, use of slang and multiple
vulgar words, definitely gave her character much more life than Ian Burn s character Frank. In
addition to that, Rita also had multiple outfit changes whereas Frank stayed in the same shirt,
positioning the same sweater in different ways on himself throughout the

Other than that, there is also space between each rectangle that help viewer to understand the theme of
this design.
The principles used in this design include figure/ground relationship, asymmetrical contrast and
repetition. Out of all these principles, contrast and repetition stands out most. In this work, there is
contrast and repetition in colors. Color changed as it has moved one triangle to another. In addition,
rhythm and repetition played important part in this design because the geometric shapes repeated more
than once. Furthermore, there is also contrast in the size of the type and triangles. For instance, the
title The 2010 Shepley Bulfinch Summer Design Fellowship MMX used bigger in size than other text.
In this work, the figure/ground is well balanced as well as positive and negative space. These triangles
in primary colors and secondary colors are considered as figure and the white part in each rectangle
considered as ground. The primary focal points are the triangle in red, blue and yellow. Then the
secondary focal point is the triangle that colored in purple and light orange. At last, the tertiary focal
point is the texts and the white background of the poster.
The composition makes the design successful and helps viewers to understand the message from the
design. In this piece, work composition approaches successfully because figure/ground played

Identity Theory Of Social Class
Statement of the Problem Identity is a powerful force that shapes the way individuals interact with the
world (Burke Reitzes, 1981). As a result, scholars have devoted much time toward understanding how
identities such as gender, race, and sexual orientation influence the human condition (Farr, Forssell,
Patterson, 2010; Kerr Multon, 2015; Smith, Bowman, Hsu, 2007). However, among this growing body
of literature, the study of social class as an identity is relatively scarce (Ostrove Cole, 2003). Rather
than examining social class as an identity, many scholars have instead chosen to treat it as a
demographic variable (Aries, 2008; Aries Berman, 2013; Lubrano, 2004; Mantsios, 2007; Park
Denson, 2013). Perhaps this has occurred because social class is such an elusive concept to describe
(Lareau, 2008; Ostrove Cole, 2003). Although scholars generally agree that there are distinct
differences among the speech patterns, mannerisms, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Identity theory is a theoretical framework that posits that individuals have many different identities
that intersect, such as social class, race, and gender (Burke Tully, 1977; Michalski Helmig, 2008;
Stryker, 1968; Stryker, 1987; Stryker, 2008). However, identity theory also acknowledges that these
varying identities tend to exist hierarchically (Stryker Burke, 2000). Therefore, identities that are more
central to a person s sense of self are more salient. That is, salient identities tend to be higher on a
person s salience hierarchy than other identities. For example, a person may identify as a heterosexual
woman, an African American, a Protestant, and a mother. However, if after considering all of these
identities, she were to indicate that her identity of being a mother was the most important to her sense
of self, and then researchers could infer that her mother identity would be set highest on her salience

Psy 230 Week 2
One of the important things that I learned from Demo and Fine chapter 4 and 5 is about the societal
views of marriage and divorce. By reading chapter 4, it has been clear to me that marriage still
reserved as the highest desired institution. However, I also shocked with the fact that marriage rates
are higher for more educated men and women compared to prior generations that are lower for more
educated individuals. About divorce, it is good to hear that the negative stigma associated with divorce
is reduced over time even though it does not seem that it has become positive in the recent years.
Besides, I also learned that even though marriage is popular, the social norms governing marriage
have become weaker. This happens may be because there is a change from institutional to
companionate marriage and also there is a larger emphasis on marriage meeting individualistic and
self fulfilling need. People hold many expectations on marriage. People expect marriage can help ...

Moreover, I learned about the internal emotional and psychological dimensions of divorce introduced
by Reva Wiseman. By reading this, it shows that process of separation can extends deeply into the
psyche. Wiseman said that there are five stages of divorce denial, loss and depression, anger and
ambivalence, reorientation of lifestyle and identity and acceptance and integration. This view of
divorce let us see and learn about the process of crisis in individuals mind. It also shows how emotions

Analysis Of When Worlds Collide By Christopher Columbus
The actions of competing European nations for colonies around the world following the exploits of
Christopher Columbus according to the video When Worlds Collide from PBS include enslaving,
torturing, killing, and plundering the riches of the indigenous people of the New World. According to
When Worlds Collide, before King Charles V s even began his reign, there had been 32 tons of gold
that had been plundered by the Spaniards from the Native Americans. To add insult to injury, he used
Africans and Native Americans as slaves in mines to get him even more gold only a few years after
coming into power. In the same video, it is mentioned that under the rule of another king, King Philip,
Native Americans were used again as slaves in mines

How Spirited Away, The Emperor And The Assassin, And...
Three different movies set in three different times, yet they are united by one theme that is history.
This analysis will focus on how Spirited Away, The Emperor and the Assassin, and Journey to the
West: Conquering the Demons are part of a modern and ancient history that are still practiced today.
Even though these movies are a mixture of legends, fictions, and facts we can still appreciate the
meaning behind each story. Furthermore, this analysis will enhance East Asian s historical meaning.

In the film, we also observed that bowing is an important part of Japanese tradition. Kids learned to
bow from a very young age and they are taught the different kinds of bows. In Chihiro, we see that her
bowing varies according to the person she is meeting. For instance, when she meets Kamaji, Zeniba
and Yubaba her bows are deep and long. On the other hand, her bows towards No face and the stick
lamp are shorter and less deep. In this film, we can appreciate the references made for new generations
to appreciate and respect the culture they learned from years. Even though this illustrated film shows
fictional characters we can see how it connects to modern Japan. The historical aspect of Japanese
people is starting to fade like in the ending of the movie when Haku learned by Chihiro that where he
used to live people destroy the river to construct apartment. Many of this Japanese tradition is being
lost, according to Rachel Tackett in an online article, spring of 2008 that number dropped to a mere
4,343, and it continues to decrease at a rate of almost one a day. There simply aren t enough customers
to support the industry, not to mention that there are few young people prepared to take over the
business if traditions are lost and we are becoming a more globalized world how can we differentiate

The United Kingdom Needs And The Clear Separation Of Powers
One of the three main theories that work as basis of the organisation of the United Kingdom is the
Doctrine of separation of powers, such as Parliament sovereignty and the rule of law. This essay is
going to critically discuss whether the United Kingdom needs and have the clear separation of powers.
There are three important powers that work as instruments for organisation of any state and are carried
by Governments. This can be stated, There are three elements in each constitution... first, the
deliberative, which discusses everything of common importance; second the officials; and third, the
judicial element. said Aristotle , the founder of theory of the doctrine. Contemporary those powers are
called as the legislature, the executive and the judiciary.
The Legislature power is a power that makes law for regulation of peoples and private organisations
conduct, also structure and power of public authorities which is ran by the Parliament. This includes
bodies such as House of Lords, House of Commons and the Queen. The Executive power is the
administrative branch of government that implements the law, which are made by legislators. Bodies
that regulate this are the Queen, Prime Minister, other Ministers, Civil service, police and armed
forces. Introduction of the legislation, controlling security and public services, supporting prosperity
and conducting the external relation of the state are the roles of the executive power. The Judiciary is
the power that

The Importance Of Andrew Jackson And The Common Man
Imagine if we didn t win the War of 1812 or if the common people felt unwanted? Where would we be
without Andrew Jackson? Andrew Jackson s presidency should be admired because he supported the
common man and thought the rich were overrated, he also a well known war hero. This topic is
relevant because Andrew Jackson made it so the people were treated as equals, and how different
groups shouldn t be treated better just because of their money status. It also is relevant because our
country wouldn t have double without the War of 182 or our success during the Revolutionary.
Andrew Jackson wasn t born into the richest family, in fact he lived out most of his life an orphan.
President Jackson always thought that the rich were over privileged or didn t deserve what they were
given. Andrew Jackson wanted to make sure the common people felt just as equal as the rich. Jackson
also was a well renowned war hero for his victory during the War of 1812 which gave the United
States the ability to double in size or it wouldn t have given us the social status that was
desired.Because Andrew Jackson was a common man himself, how did he put towards that part of his
life into his acts as president?
Andrew Jackson wasn t just a president, he was also a common man. Jackson was most famous
because he believed in the common man, and that s what he fought for and how he wanted to model
the country. The common man started as almost the lowest of the system until Jackson helped them
rise to be one of

George Washington Carver s Contributions To Society
Have you ever heard of The Peanut Man. I will be explaining George Washington Carver in these
ways of his contributions to society from his agriculture discoveries to his inventions such as the

soap, coffee, and bread made from peanuts. He went from a poor slave boy on a farm to making over
300 inventions from peanuts he could possibly be of the greatest minds in american history. In this
essay I will discuss how George Washington Carver made contributions to society that include his
discoveries, generosity, and his inventions.
First, I will discuss how Carver made discoveries to help people. In his article the author states Carver
studied under some of the leading agriculture thinkers and imbibed on their faith and practical ecology

Effects Of Turbiridity Due On Land Use
1)Effects of turbiridity due to land use changes
Turbidity measures the amount of light scattered from a sample and more suspended particles causes
more scattering results in high turbidity.
Turbidity measurements are often used as indicator of water quality based on clarity and total
suspended solid particles. Turbidity doesn t include the dissolved solids which reduces the scattering.
In agricultural lands the receiving water is contaminated by nonpoint pollution due to different
agricultural activities like crop production, cattle operations, crop pattern and rangelands.
High rates of surface runoff and erosion of land covered by annual crops have high levels of turbidity
in receiving water specially in spring when vegetation cover is minimal.
Wetlands used in removal of bacterial contamination in rivers , act as biofilter which increases the
turbidity.
Turbidity is negatively related with the forested areas and positively with the annual crops and urban
land use.
Annual crops have more turbidity than the perennial crops.so the when annual crops are converted
into the forested areas perennial crops pastures cause 16.4% of turbidity.
It is studied that stabilization of urban land through reforestation practices increases in water quality
due to the high turbidity. Protection of water resources through land use policy is essential.
2)forest soils have high rate of infiltration
Infiltration is known as the movement of water in soil profile occure in

What Is The Similarities Between Arcite And Plamon
Arcite and Palamon, friends and foes, both fighting for the hand of the same woman. Love, true love,
is that not one of the most popular themes in any type of media? The most common portrayal of love
is a forbidden love, but after that is rivaled love. Two people fighting for the love of a single person. In
The Knight s Tale, Chaucer gives us this exact same theme. Arcite and Palamon, cousins, both
attempting to earn the hand of the beautiful Emily. When looking closer at them, we can see some
distinct differences between them but also some concealed resemblances. The most major differences

In their first fight, Palamon had just escaped and Arcite had achieved a stable position in Emily s

could have killed him, but instead swore to Palamon that I shall not fail to be found here, on my faith
as a knight, and to bring quite enough armor for you. (Chaucer 753) They both returned and helped
each other into their armor, this is important because they both had the opportunity to sabotage the
other but they choose not to. When they are found fighting by Theseus, Palamon immediately insists
on being killed for his misdeeds, but also demands that Arcite be killed too. Palamon recognizes his
just penalty and does not argue against it. After Arcite is wounded during the tournament and he
becomes aware of his impending death, he calls Emily and Palamon to his side. After bemoaning his
fate, Arcite turns to Emily with these words: If you are ever to be a wife, forget not Palamon, the
gentle man. (Chaucer 1939) By the time Arcite dies, he and Palamon have no more quarrels between
them. He died and lived with honor, just as Palamon

  • 2. Honey Bees And Its Effects On Bees Bees are a vital source to most of the daily products that we use today. From the food we eat, to the trees outside. Without them, there will be no greenery or some of our favorite foods. That is why it is necessary to protect their well being. Therefore multiple solutions have been recommended to preserve their existence, in healthy and efficient environments. Recently, studies are showing a dramatic decrease of the bee population. As a result, there have been fewer instances of the great pollination process performed by the bees, therefore affecting the food and produce whose growth process are dependant on the bees. Honey bees originally came from Europe, but the problem of the decreasing population became known after Pollination Week declared by the senate and governors on June 22nd. The reasoning behind the lack of bees on agriculture farms, is due to the harmful pesticide spray. Denied access to neonics, farmers will inevitably revert to spraying their fields either from the ground or by plane with older and more dangerous insecticides (Rodgers Media 6). Furthermore, because there are fewer pollinators, the food they help flourish have become a worry to researchers. The world would be a desolate place without our pollinating friends, devoid of flowers, flowering plants and many of our favorite foods (Hannon Gerald 9). Implies the importance of the bees handiwork in the production of the produce that we eat. Although it is costly in order to transport the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Distracted Driving In today s society, our moble devices have become our pirmary means of communication. While there have been many positive results from this improved technology, it has also created one very dangerous situation, distracted driving. Distracted driving has always been a problem with people changing radio stations, eating and drinking while driving, or simply looking at people walking down the street instead of keeping their eyes on the road. Texting and driving has created a far worse situation than any of these common distractions. Many laws have already been put in place to help curb this issue, but none of them have been very successful thus far. The question is: Is it time to enact laws against texting and driving as tough as drinking and driving laws? It used to be when you saw a driver weaving back and forth, crossing double yellow lines or driving erratically, you assumed they were intoxicated. Nowadays, when you see any of these occurences, your first thought is, I bet they re texting and driving. The problem is so epidemic that there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I believe it is time to start enacting similar laws for texting and driving to slow down the current trend and start protecting innocent people from their irresponsible act. Current advertising campaigns have not proven to be effective enough, therefore it is time for the public to ask their state legislators to begin work on tougher laws. Too many lives and families have been destroyed by someone texting and driving. Before I or anyone else has to endure this type of tragedy, it is time to put tougher laws in place. In my opinion, I believe that anyone that is ticketed for texting and driving should automatically lose their license for a minimum of six months to a year and attend a driver improvement class. Any repeat offenders should receive stiffer penalties similar to drunk ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Magna Carta Vs English Bill Of Rights Analysis During the formation of the United States, colonists were receptive to the governments that came before them. Earlier governments, set strong precedents, and taught American Colonists the favored methods of creating constitutions. Two examples of ideal constitutions were the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights. The Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights were viewed by the colonists and were stepping stones for the creation of the United States. Specific segments of these documents were taken and transferred to the United States Constitution, due to the overall proof of success and benefits that it presented to earlier governments. Without some of the principles set in these two documents, the United States might not have been the way we see it today. In England, the year 1215, the Magna Carta stood as the earliest example of a document limiting the king s power. Many of the principles set by the Magna Carta, such as the rule of law, basic rights, and government by agreement were transferred to the American Constitution. The most important principle transferred, however, was the idea of limited government. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These freedoms established by the English Bill of Rights are related to the natural rights philosophy in many ways. One of these ways is because of the basic human rights. When we are born, from the first breath we take, we are given the right of life, liberty, and estate. Press, speech/opinion, and religion are all included in living. • 6. The Shape Memory Effect And Super Elasticity INTRODUCTION The Shape Memory Alloys are quite fascinating materials characterised by a Shape Memory effect and Super elasticity, which ordinary metals and alloys do not have. This unique behaviour was first found in Au 47.5%Cd alloy in 1951, and was publicised by its discovery in a Ti Ni alloy in 1963. After much research and development thereafter, shape memory alloys are now being practically used as new functional alloys for pipe couplings, antennae for cellular phones and various actuators in electrical appliances, etc. Furthermore, they have attracted keen attention as promising candidate for smart materials since they function as sensors as well as actuators. The shape memory effect and super elasticity are based on the diffusion less transformation called martensitic transformation. The Shape memory effect is a unique property of certain alloys exhibiting martensitic transformations. Even though the alloy is deformed in low temperature phase, it recovers its original shape by reverse transformation upon heating to a critical temperature called reverse transformation temperature. Many other alloys such as In T1, 3, 4 Cu Zn and Cu Al Ni were also found. The same alloys have another unique property called Super elasticity at a higher temperature, which is associated with a large (18%) nonlinear recoverable strain upon loading and unloading. Since these alloys have a unique property in remembering the original shape, having an actuator function and having ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. A History of Roller Coasters Essay Roller coasters are one of the most popular rides when you go to an amusement park with everybody in your family. Why are they so scary for some people while for others it is just another adrenaline rush? Roller Coasters are one of the most complicated rides to build and to actually ride. There are some people who just have fun building something to have a quick adrenaline rush before going to work. Roller coasters have some of the most interesting design and history; they have become one of the world s famous rides at every amusement park. The first real roller coaster was built in 1878 on Coney Island which was built by La Marcus Thompson. The roller coaster was made out of wood and went down hill. Kids and parents would both have fun going on the ride together. The kiddie coaster was introduced by Herb Schmeck. Most of the roller coaster wouldn t go any higher than forty feet up in the air. When it came to the 1960 s amusement parks were fighting to see who had the best roller coasters. It had turned into an arms race for amusement parks in the US. Over sixteen million dollars was used that year to help create new parks and rides. Places like Six Flags had become very big, to the point where they started to expand in 1963 which was huge. This meant they had three parks they were running in the US. Wooden roller coasters also dominated the 60 s because they were brought to a whole new level. They had become faster and you were able to create more effects with the railway. You were able to drop a hundred feet down and go under another part of the track, without getting hurt. When it came to the 1970 s nothing much happened except for what is known as the baby boom of amusement parks. Amusement parks were popping up everywhere in the US. Six Flags had become an amusement park chain for the country and other parks were popping up everywhere. The biggest part about this boom was what type of roller coasters people were building. Thematic analysis After a process of individual analysis of the selected studies, the articles were grouped together according to recurrent themes that emerged from the findings. In this literature review, three major themes were identified which include; window displays, music and shop crowding. Finding Window displays In relation to window display, three studies reported that there is a positive relationship between consumers buying behavior and window display (Ali Hasnu 2013, Karbasivar Yarahmadi 2011 and Tendai Crispen 2009). According to Ali Hasnu (2013, p.7) consumers buying decision is influenced by the physical attractiveness of store displays. Consumers develop their first impressions by the store displays which emotionally attract them to the product and buy that product (Ali Hasnu 2013, p.7). Similarly, Tendai Crispen (2009, p. 107) reported that attractive window displays increases sales as consumers purchase unplanned products. Moreover, the finding of Karbasivar Yarahmadi (2011) study indicated that window display has strong effect on encouraging consumers to buying more and enjoying their shopping time. In order to trigger shopping among consumers, store managers must ensure attractive store displays (Ali Hasnu 2013, p. 7). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What s the name ??) at iitk as well as new clubs like Bhakti Vedanta club I was forced to collect my thoughts on why I don t find Krishna in Bhagwad Gita, even remotely useful as an ethical role model. First lets see the historical context in which the book was written. If you are the sort of person who thinks that _Mahabharata_ was not just a folklore, probably inspired by some old war around modern Delhi, constantly being rewritten and reimagined in oral transmission over the years by numerous bards, then I request you to stop reading any further as it will be a waste of time for both of us. Although I haven t read the _Mahabharata_ in its entirety, I personally find it a fabulous of epic about the dilemma of power and probably, the most harrowing of the ancient epics. And just like the Homeric epics, I find no reason, why _Mahabharata_ hasn t been reworked heavily over the years. • 10. Herman Melville s Bartleby, The Scrivener Herman Melville s Bartleby, the Scrivener Born in New York City on August 1st, 1819, Herman Melville led a life that commenced in partial fame and success, but ended in poverty and despair. Although unjustly criticized for the purposeless extravagance and disorderliness of his writing, due to his digressions into many different topics while discussing a single one, especially in his most celebrated novel today, though most criticized and unappreciated in his time, Moby Dick, Herman Melville is considered one of the most important figures in American Literature today. Herman Melville is the most Shakespearean of our authors, according to Herald Bloom, an American literary critic. Other literary critics deem his works the most crucial achievements in American literature, and literary creations of a high order blending fact, fiction, adventure and subtle symbolism. Melville communicated his genius not only through his impeccable use of language and engrossing creation of plot, but also and mainly through his development of more than merely unique or odd characters characters he called original. Noting Melville s view of himself as an author, more than that of himself as a person, is significant to the understanding of his notion of the original character, and to the understanding of his literary original characters. It is especially essential to the understanding of one of his most intriguing fictional characters: Bartleby. In his short story Bartleby, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. Australia s Film And Television Industry Australia s film and television industry has experienced drastic changes since the rise of national cinema. Leading the world film industry, Australia was home to the first film studio and feature film at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906) toured England from 1908 as the longest film ever made, popularising a new genre of bushranger movies and epitomising the Ned Kelly legend as a significant aspect in Australian cultural identity (Juddery, 2008). The beginning of Australia s film industry built itself on bushranger films, with the focus being local audiences rather than foreign, as stated by Judder. However, power struggles within the industry and banning of the bushranger genre saw to the quick demise of the film industry in 1912. Another aspect contributing to the demise is the emergence of competition with Britain and the US releasing two feature films each to Australia s eight, later decreasing to three against the US 212 in 1914. Soon thereafter, the industry was dominated by foreign productions. This is evidenced in the 1994 documentary Celluloid Heroes, which states that during one week in 1959, 1500 fine dramatic actors appeared on Melbourne television, and only 5 Australians , resulting in the 1960 Postmaster General Charles Davidson to implement local content requirements, beginning with TV stations required to broadcast 40 per cent Australian content every 28 days with four hours in peak time, which was ... There has not been any research done in this respect that involves Chinese accounting student in China and Australia. Two countries with similar accounting standards but very different educational systems. In order to challenge the assumption data was collected by using surveys from final year accounting students in both countries. Then the data was examined using the experimental research method (Ying and Patel, 2016) .And the results agreed with the hypothesis developed and literature reviewed that Chinese students in China are more inter dependant on the self construal variable which relates to the educational and cultural environment being an influence on it .Further examinations have been done to provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of self construal on skeptical judgments of an individual. The research efforts that addressed for the connectivity and coverage issues in WSNs are based on upon a lot of theories and assumptions. The basic concepts of connectivity and coverage are essential for understanding this issue. In this section, we describe the notions of connectivity and coverage, the category of sensor nodes, sensing models and communication models. A. Connectivity and coverage We consider a WSN in which the sensor nodes have both sensing ability and short distance wireless communication ability. The objective of the deployment of the WSN is to keep the FoI under strict surveillance/collect data and then forward the obtained information to a designated gateway/data sink. Hence, coverage and connectivity are the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, we consider this connected WSN as 1 connected. Depends on the different connectivity/failure resilience requirement, the stronger types of connectivity need to be considered, i.e., k connectivity. Based on the definition of connectivity in the graph theory, which is it asks for the minimum number of elements (nodes or edges) that need to be removed to disconnect the remaining nodes from each other , k connectivity means that the network can keep its connectivity by removing at most k 1 nodes from itself. In this case, a network with k connectivity and k 1 has much better fault tolerance/resilience than a network with only 1 connectivity. Since the nodes in a WSN could be failed randomly which are caused by battery depletion or wireless interference, preserving the k connectivity is critical for WSN and could extend the life time of a WSN. Li et al. [6] provided a good survey on connectivity and coverage in WSNs. Besides the connectivity, the concept of coverage is another fundamental need to be understood for designing a WSN based system. What follows is a three hundred page analysis of what Morgan calls political fictions. These fictions have been developed throughout our history, most notably, the fictions of the divine right of kings and the sovereignty of the people. Systematically, Morgan breaks down these fictions to their root, unveiling the shaky basis upon which they lie, and then revealing all of the pitfalls inherent in their actual realization, to indicate the modified form of these political fictions that we know today. Morgan argues that the problem with political fictions is that they have become so ingrained in societal thought that we are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While it may seem clear to Americans today that such an idea was not entirely sound, English citizens at the time fell victim to the classic logic inherent in political fictions, the idea that, the fiction has always been real and is simply a part of society as we know it. However, our ability to discern fact from fiction in the case of the divine right of kings serves Morgan s point that a political fiction is also present today, yet we are now the ones falling victim to the fiction. Ian Burns is British as well and is also the co founder of That Theatre. Dawn Wall made a great effort in emphasizing Rita s roots and social status by staying in a Liverpool inspired Scouse accent, almost throughout the entire play. This was in stark contrast to Frank s posh and upper class dialect which was combined with a very intellectual and wide vocabulary. Dawn Wall s way of speaking, use of slang and multiple vulgar words, definitely gave her character much more life than Ian Burn s character Frank. • 27. Identity Theory Of Social Class Statement of the Problem Identity is a powerful force that shapes the way individuals interact with the world (Burke Reitzes, 1981). As a result, scholars have devoted much time toward understanding how identities such as gender, race, and sexual orientation influence the human condition (Farr, Forssell, Patterson, 2010; Kerr Multon, 2015; Smith, Bowman, Hsu, 2007). However, among this growing body of literature, the study of social class as an identity is relatively scarce (Ostrove Cole, 2003). Rather than examining social class as an identity, many scholars have instead chosen to treat it as a demographic variable (Aries, 2008; Aries Berman, 2013; Lubrano, 2004; Mantsios, 2007; Park Denson, 2013). Perhaps this has occurred because social class is such an elusive concept to describe (Lareau, 2008; Ostrove Cole, 2003). However, identity theory also acknowledges that these varying identities tend to exist hierarchically (Stryker Burke, 2000). Therefore, identities that are more central to a person s sense of self are more salient. That is, salient identities tend to be higher on a person s salience hierarchy than other identities. For example, a person may identify as a heterosexual woman, an African American, a Protestant, and a mother. However, if after considering all of these identities, she were to indicate that her identity of being a mother was the most important to her sense of self, and then researchers could infer that her mother identity would be set highest on her salience ... Effects Of Turbiridity Due On Land Use 1)Effects of turbiridity due to land use changes Turbidity measures the amount of light scattered from a sample and more suspended particles causes more scattering results in high turbidity. Turbidity measurements are often used as indicator of water quality based on clarity and total suspended solid particles. Turbidity doesn t include the dissolved solids which reduces the scattering. In agricultural lands the receiving water is contaminated by nonpoint pollution due to different agricultural activities like crop production, cattle operations, crop pattern and rangelands. High rates of surface runoff and erosion of land covered by annual crops have high levels of turbidity in receiving water specially in spring when vegetation cover is minimal. Wetlands used in removal of bacterial contamination in rivers , act as biofilter which increases the turbidity. Turbidity is negatively related with the forested areas and positively with the annual crops and urban land use. Annual crops have more turbidity than the perennial crops.so the when annual crops are converted into the forested areas perennial crops pastures cause 16.4% of turbidity. It is studied that stabilization of urban land through reforestation practices increases in water quality due to the high turbidity.
