Should Government Have Minimal Interference With The Internet
The government should have minimal interference with the internet, but complete neutrality would
eventually become harmful. The internet is primarily a place for communication. As such, it does
indeed make sense that the government should not interfere. However, the internet has evolved
beyond communication and has grown into forms of business. The internet has become a setting like
those of the physical world, with differences, of course.
For one, it costs to access the internet, and also to run it. It is not a place that we can go to just by
walking with a bit of effort. We have to pay for WiFi, Ethernet, or other items from the long list of
products. While there are libraries and other locations to temporarily access it, it still costs ... Show

Ads and the like have infected our previously neutral communication network. That being said, this
change has not been entirely bad. Companies like Google and Amazon have provided many things to
us that were previously obsolete or inaccessible. We have found many items and services that would
not be available without the internet.
Given that the internet is beneficial to all, there are many ways with which people will try to sabotage
or trap it. Malware, invasive advertisements, and uninformed “informants” clutter our
perception of this wonderland. For these causes, regulation is needed. Like all things, moderation is a
necessity, as too much interference will leave us resentful, but too little interference will render
moderation useless.
During the recent net neutrality vote, both accurate and inaccurate information was spread about the
motives and effects of repealing and continuing the bill. In that atmosphere, what was true and what
was false was extremely hard to differentiate. Fake news, fake websites, fake quotations, fake
testimonies, fake everything! How is anyone supposed to make a fair and informed decision in that
hostile environment! This was not present on just one side, however. Both sides spread
misinformation to lure people to their side for their own

Japanese American Internment
Japanese American Internment The Japanese Americans were kicked out of their homes and were
forced to live in internment camps. I think the Japanese american internment camps were unnecessary
because the word Japanese American says itself that these people were as american as the people that
sent them to those camps. I support my answer because in the article, In Response to Executive Order
9066: All Americans of Japanese Descent Must report to relocation centers it states, I have always felt
funny using chopsticks and my favorite food is hot dogs. I think this means she was probably born in
america, and to her its her home. In relation to this another piece of evidence is in the article it states,

The Dna Samples Of Gophers Tested
Background
The DNA samples of gophers tested are prime examples of evolution. There are several evolutionary
processes that occurred with the species being study. Speciation occurred once a river causing their
gene pools to diverge separated the gophers. This evolutionary occurrence represents allopathic
speciation. Furthermore, once the species gene pool diverged the morphological species concept could
be observed. The Geomys attwateri is slightly larger than the Geomys brevicep by 10 mm. During this
evolutionary occurrence reproductive isolation may have occurred as well. Due to the species being
isolated geologically, interbreeding no longer occurred separating the gene flow of each population. If
these species were able to breed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Campbell) Although morphological observations help identify species they are not as accurate as
testing the DNA of species with similar resemblance. The most accurate way to identify species is to
extract their DNA and use bioinformatics. To decipher if a species by its morphology can be suggested
as a hypothesis, but the results of its DNA will identify the species accurately. Tissues samples can be
taken from the species in question, and the DNA can be extracted from tissue. Once the DNA is
extracted it can be amplified. DNA can be amplified by the PCR procedure, in which specific gene
regions can be used as barcodes to identify the species. These specific regions are known as
Cytochrome oxidase 1 and Cytochrome B. Once these regions are purified and amplified, the samples
can be sequenced, and the species can be identified. These procedures can solve many mysteries and
questions. The DNA sequencing of different species can identify where it falls on the phylogenetic
tree and where the population separated to produce a new species. These procedures help us
understand the evolution of ancestors to the present and the connection between each species. Two
separate species with multiple similarities can be observed, and bioinformatics can help answer that
question.
Purpose
There are several experiments that must be conducted before a species can be identified. The tissue
samples of these organisms must be obtained, and their tissues must

Henrietta Lacks Sacrifice
Who was Henrietta Lacks? What if I told you, had she not lived, your life would be very different
today? Her name was Henrietta, she was a poor, uneducated, African American woman, but she is
known today as HeLa, and primarily only in the scientific community. Henrietta existed on this earth a
short 31 years, but her cells live on eternally. Cells that she never knew were taken from her, dare I say
stolen, at the most vulnerable time of her life, during surgery for terminal cervical cancer. Five years
ago I read Rebecca Skloot s groundbreaking account The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and I was
captivated by Henrietta s story and the effect that this medical deception had on her family. Her story
should be told.

Effects of the BP Oil Spill
Four years ago from today, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded and sunk, killing eleven people.
Underwater cameras showed that the pipe was leaking oil and gas about 40 miles from the coast of
Louisiana. This leak would eventually release about 4.9 million barrels of oil into the Gulf before it
would be capped 87 days later. Immediately after the explosion, workers from Transocean, BP, and the
government attempted to control the spread of oil to the coast by using oil booms and chemical
dispersants to break down underwater oil. However, these methods had problems. First, oil booms
only stop the spread of surface oil. While that sounds good, lots of the oil was beneath the surface and
the booms did nothing to stop the spread of this oil. Second, the chemical dispersants used to break
down the underwater oil could be just as harmful to marine life as the oil was. Over 1.84 million
gallons of Corexit dispersant were used in the Gulf. Use of the dispersant was described as the most
effective and fast moving tool for minimizing shoreline impact . Despite these claims, an analysis
conducted by Toxipedia showed that the dispersant could contain cancer causing agents, hazardous
toxins and endocrine disrupting chemicals. Scientists were concerned that the dispersants made a spill
even more toxic, increasing the danger to wildlife. The dangers are even greater when poured into the
source of a spill, because they are picked up by the current and washed through the Gulf. The oil

History And Evolution Of The Anti Feminist Movement Essay
In this paper, I will be exploring in depth the history and evolution of the anti feminist movement as a
reaction to feminism in the United States. As a background, I will provide a brief summary of the
feminist movement and it s relation to anti feminism. Then I will go into the anti feminist movement,
and it s origins, background, and main supporters. Although anti feminism was founded as a backlash
movement, it actually sparked another wave of movements itself, those of which I will explore as
well. Lastly, I will look at how anti feminism has evolved over time, and it s impact on society and
feminism as a whole. Although feminism in the United States can be dated back to the early 18th
century, any movements or advocates during that time were scarce, and the societal influence
accomplished was little to none. The feminist movement didn t really start to get started until the 19th
century. 19th century through mid 20th century feminism is considered First wave feminism, which
includes the suffrage movement, education reform, workplace reform, and the beginning of the Equal
Rights Amendment (ERA) movements (Harding, 1981). The first wave of feminism peaked and is
said to have ended with the passage of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote, and
putting an end to the highly influential suffrage movement. Second wave feminism is the period of the
feminist movement which took place from mid to late 20th century into the 21st century (Harding,
1981). This period

Comparing Public Sector Organizations And Different Scales
There are different ypes of organstions with different purposes and different scales, first of there are
public sector companies, public sector companies are owned by the government rather then
individuals, these include but are not limited to the NSH , the police force and so on, public sector
companies are not set up to make profit but rather to help people of the country by providing various
services, for example the NHS tries to keep the nation healthy so there enough working people and
aim of the police force would to keep the rate low, the second secor is called private sector, private
sector companies are owned by individual or individulas, these comaines are set up to genartate profit
either through providing a product or service, these are the most common type businesses, unlike the
public sector most of the business in thie section are competing with each other for the cunsumers
attention. Finaly there is the voluntary sector, voluntary sector, companies In this sector are set up to
raise money for charity, this companies in this sector are owned by individual/ individuals just like the
private sector but there goal is not to make profit but rather raise to help popele in need #
Size and scope
Businesses can come in all seizes, the size of a business can be detrmined by many different factors
for example the number of staff employees, the amout of profit it generates and on what scale it

Facing a seemingly massive debt can create a scare tactic to continue on a path toward a higher and
exceptional education. Although there are controllable factors to help lessen the weight of student debt
it creates a wall of challenges toward furthering ones education, because of the fear of falling into a
seemingly large debt Canadian students are afraid to maximize their education, prohibiting Canada to
create and maintain a stronger and more skilled work force.

Analysis of Friedrich Nietzsche´s Book 5 of The Gay...
Friedrich Nietzsche s own skepticism symbolized the secular changes in contemporary Western
civilization, in which he details mankind s break away from faith into a new rule of chaos. In Book 5
of The Gay Science, Nietzsche establishes that God is dead , meaning that modern Europe has
abandoned religion in favor of rationality and science (Nietzsche 279). From this death, the birth of a
new infinite blossoms in which the world is open to an unlimited amount of interpretations that do not
rely on the solid foundations of faith in religion or science. However, in contrast to the other
philosophers of his age such as Immanuel Kant and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Nietzsche
deviates from the omniscient determinism of history towards a ... Show more content on

Despite such claims, Nietzsche criticizes this mistaken idea that the knowledge of the universe can be
comprehended by any method; he argues that not even the most scrupulously conscientious analysis
and self examination of the intellect cannot successfully interpret the progressive history of the world
as the human intellect cannot avoid seeing itself in [only] its perspectives (Nietzsche 336). To
Nietzsche, Kant and Hegel s attempts to find truth in history is faulty because faith is just now found
in science and reasoning rather than religion. What Kant and Hegel fail to realize is that the human
race s separation from this faith gave rise to our new infinite , in which the world has become infinite
for [humanity] all over again, inasmuch as we cannot reject the possibility that it may include infinite
interpretations (Nietzsche 336). Thus the new infinite is self consciously made by the individual
members of humanity itself, as we can now independently interpret the world ourselves as we see fit.
Nietzsche declares that even if some of these interpretations may include too much devilry, stupidity
and foolishness , it does not matter because it does not rely on faith (Nietzsche 336). The new infinite
that arises is ours, in which the abundance of perspectives is too overwhelming for any scholar to give
meaning to such chaos. There is no logical reason how such disorder should

The Squad Of The 14u Team South Football Team
We had traveled in the minivan for 5 hours, for a group of 13 year old boys this trip felt like eternity.
However, our excitement kept us all jaunting to each other about silly middle school shenanigans, who
can dougie better, and how we were all going to murk this tryout. Johnny Evans, Malik Chatman,
Gavin Rose, Ronnie Fountain, and I were all selected to try out for the 14u Team South football team.
This team would represent all the best players in the southeast and clash them against other regions
best athletes. This would be a 3 day try out. After leaving Orlando, the van had finally reached its
destination. Coach Rose jingled to the car Atlanta is the place to be, with orange peaches and southern
tea, we all stared at Gavin as his face turned as red as a Crayola. We pulled into the lot of the hotel all
participating athletes had been assigned right off of I 75. We all unloaded the van of our luggage
proceeded to the check in, Coach got the keys for room 325 and 326. I was so tired of riding in back
of the van that I did not really care how the room would look as long as I could put my bags down and
fall right into the bed. Malik, Johnny and I entered our room 326 to the right was with a bathroom
sink, a mirror, and shower. On the left, a mini kitchen with a stove, island table, and refrigerator. In
front of us, there were two wooden dressers pinned together with a television on top. Near the
window, there was a small table with a lamp as well as chair in the corner.

Analysis Of The Je Quan D. Sailes Irving
Je Quan D. Sailes Irving
APUSH Summer Assignment
Chapter 1:
Chapter 1 focused on introducing two politicians that were about to have a duel on July 11, 1804.
Aaron Burr was the third vice president of the United States and the vice president during Thomas
Jefferson s term. Alexander Hamilton was a founding father of the United States and apart of the
federalist party. Both Hamilton and Burr were each other s political rival and would insult one another
until they arranged a duel to end their dispute. The duel ended with Hamilton shooting Burr in the
right side causing him to die the next day. Newspapers exaggerated the situation by making it seem
like Hamilton murdered Burr out of cold blood and dwindling his reputation as a politician. What
interested me in this chapter was that in the past they used dueling as a way to handle disputes
between one another. However, I don t think that dueling was the smartest method of settling a coral
between people because it is a selfish act that is similar to suicide and risk ruining your life.
Chapter 2:
Chapter 2 consisted of Hamilton considering to resign from being the secretary of treasury if his fiscal
was rejected because he would then of no use but Jefferson suggested that he could possibly help
Hamilton. Hermetic meetings were hosted at Jefferson s home, and they were arranged and called
dinners . During these dinners Thomas Jefferson invited Alexander Hamilton and James Madison so
that they can discuss the if

A Brief Note On The 1920s And Wwi The Industry
Between 1890s and WWI the industry undergone some big changes. Business grew into new, giant
dimensions, which caused change of mindsets of managements, and role of workers. At the beginning
of the century the industrial advancements yielded growth in automobile industry, and by 1925 Ford
produced a new car each 10 seconds, using assembly lines process. Years of 1882 to 1903 brought
growth of financial trusts, and through merges and consolidations many small businesses were
crushed, and replaced by giant corporations such as Rockefeller s Standard Oil, tobacco, Copper, to
name a few, but also gave a rise to importance to use of laboratories. Improvements of processes in
manufacturing were so efficient, that numbers of workers has declined significantly. Two reforms
were passed around this time by mechanical engineer Frederick W. Taylor, and they pushed
responsibility of job education onto the management, as well as setting some standards and procedures
and best working conditions. Jim Crows segregation brought on a rise in racial crime, whites killing
blacks by dozens. In 1905, led by Du Bois, the Niagara Movement promised blacks a lot of equal
rights and justice, encouraging mobs to riots and violence. Oswald G. Villard, W.E. Walling, and Mary
Ovington called for civil right organization National Association for the Advancement of Colored

Students Should Be Taught In School
The things being taught in school are not always what need to be taught in order for the student to
succeed in life. The long math problems and odd questions and classes taken do not always help us
figure out the more important things people need to learn. Taxes and the classes that students would
most likely use in the career they wish to pursue are not always the classes taken or things taught in
school. Teachers should not always assign the most difficult or most outrageous problems in order to
teach us problem solving skill but teach us things we will actually use in everyday life. Students
should be taught the basic skills, that students still do not know how to do, that will be used
throughout their entire life. Taxes and learning

some food items. There are many celebrities known for doing good acts like donating or helping

many things that most normal people don t have. One of those ways is how a lot of celebrities are rich.
In the article, Should Parents Allow Celebrities to be Their Children s Role Models? by Christina
Hamlett, she says, In addition, children and adolescents who realize they will never be as attractive,
thin, rich, or accomplished as the celebrities they vicariously admire might decide to give up
completely instead of embracing their own uniqueness and talents. Some kids might really want to be
like their favorite celebrity. That is not always the easiest thing. That might make a kid depressed
because they can t be like their role model. Another thing celebrities top us on is that some celebrities
are known to be beautiful. Since they are famous they will be focused on for being beautiful.

Examples Of Home Sweet Home In The Great Gatsby

homes. The book also reflects on how this affects the characters and their relationships Tom and Daisy

than I expected, a cheerful red and white Georgian Colonial mansion, overlooking the bay. The lawn
started at the beach and ran toward the front door for a quarter of a mile, jumping over sun dials and
brick walls and burning gardens一finally when it reached the house drifting up the side in bright vines
as though from the momentum of its run. The front was broken by a line of french windows, glowing
now with reflected gold and wide open to the warm windy afternoon, and Tom Buchanan in riding

she doesn t care about many things, she even says ... I hope she ll be a fool that s the best thing a girl

How Urban Environments Has Made More Sustainable And What...
How Have Urban Environments Been Made More Sustainable And What More Needs To Be Done for
the Future?
Introduction
The National Geographic Education define an urban environment as, the region surrounding a city.
Urban areas are very developed, meaning there is a density of human structures such as houses,
commercial buildings, roads, bridges, and railways.(1) The International Institute for Sustainable
Development define sustainable development as development that meets the needs of the present
without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. (2) In 2014,
approximately 54%(3) of the total global population live in urban environments. The global urban

The provision of affordable mass transit provides residents of urban areas greater accessibility, which
can provide them with more opportunities and services. Furthermore, with the provision of a
successful transport system, it is highly likely for the number of people using personal vehicles to fall.
This fall in the use of cars would mean that less harmful gases such as Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen
Oxide and Sulphur Dioxide released and so the natural environment would benefit. With a successful
transport system, accessibility is greatly improved, which can be beneficial economically for a city.
People are able to travel to and from work and the transport can also be used for trading goods and
services. However, current mass transit is unsustainable in urban cities due to its reliance on non
renewable fossil fuels and the pollution it creates has a significant impact on the environment.
Currently, transport is accountable for 20% 25% of world s energy consumption and carbon dioxide
emissions(1) and the current systems mostly run on fossil fuels, which are expected to run out by 2088
according to ecotricity(2). In order to improve the sustainability of an urban area, the transport
systems, which need to be in place for economic and social reasons, need to become greener, cleaner
and run on renewable energy. Current technology is not currently in place to allow for this significant
change and so gradual changes have been introduced in some of the world cities.

The First Sermon Essay
Buddhist art, like most kinds of art, cannot be reduced to a specific set of visual characteristics.
However, within a certain time period and region, there are recurring details in many Buddhist works
of art. The First Sermon (2ndc 3rdc: Gandhara), which depicts Buddha delivering his first sermon, is
no exception to this fact. The design and visual characteristics of The First Sermon serve as clear
evidence that the work was created during the rule of the Kushan empire, specifically in Gandhara.
Additionally, those same characteristics suggest that the piece was most likely used for adornment of a
temple or other structure rather than for individual worship. The First Sermon shares many of the
same details seen in other Kushan era artworks that came out of Gandhara. The most notable aspect
that stands out is the work s heavy Greek influence. When speaking of Buddhist ... Show more content

figures, which further suggests that it was not meant for worship. As Behrendt and Brancaccio state in
their text, when the purpose is worship, the Buddha is usually presented as independent (Behrendt and
Brancaccio 19). Finally, the small size of the piece indicates that it was not intended for any sort of
adoration. With merely 32cm x 27cm in size, the work does not compare to larger and more detailed
works that could adequately be used for worship. In conclusion, The First Sermon helps as further
evidence and guidance towards fully understanding the history of Buddhist art. Although it does not
display any particularly unique features, the piece of art serves to strengthen concepts of South Asian
art as well as its uses in everyday

Societal Values vs. Moral Instincts Essay
On his many adventures, Huckleberry Finn encounters numerous situations in which his morality is
tested or needs to be implemented. Huck has moral dilemmas to a degree, but he figures out the
answer to his questions. He also figures out that sometimes, society has it all wrong, and that at times
you just have to follow your heart. In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Twain
reveals that what is honorable is to follow your natural moral instincts, not what society and
civilization say is moral. From the beginning of the book, it is shown that Huck is forced to conform
to what others think is best for him. Huckleberry was taken in by Widow Douglas because his dad
wasn t a part of his life anymore and he needed a parent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Society starts to become a place in which Huckleberry wants to spend less and less time interacting
with as he realizes the problems people create in the world. As Huck and Jim float farther down the
river, Huck s opinion of society becomes more defined in his own mind:
I hadn t had a bite to eat since yesterday, so Jim he got out some corn dodgers and buttermilk, and
pork and cabbage and greens there ain t nothing in the world so good when it s cooked right and
whilst I eat my supper we talked and had a good time. . . .We said there warn t no home like a raft,
after all. Other places do seem so cramped up and smothery, but a raft don t. You feel mighty free and
easy and comfortable on a raft. (119)
At this point in the book Huck is thoroughly sickened by society. Compared to the incidents onshore,
the raft represents a retreat from the outside world. Even the simple food Jim offers Huck is delicious
in this atmosphere of freedom. Huck and Jim do not have to answer to anyone on the raft, and it
represents a kind of utopian life for them. They try to maintain this peaceful separation from society
and its problems, but as the raft makes its way down the river, unpleasant influences from onshore
repeatedly invade the world of the raft. These influences can be connected to the people close to Huck,
where clashing pieces of advice from those close to him are given throughout his life. Huck is put in a
tough spot in trying to make his own decisions on what is

Research Paper On Cats
Cats have their own individual social needs. Jackson Galaxy says humans tend to see their cats
through human goggles or dog goggles . Meaning, humans tend to treat cats as things other than a cat.
Treat your cat like a cat. You need to know about their body language, where they like being pet and
how to pet them. Cats have their own needs and emotions, which are very different from the needs and
emotions of humans or dogs. Referring back to the dog goggles , there are two things that a cat does
that people often read as they would with a dog s body language. The first one: Your cat is exposing
its stomach. This is not a sign to pet your cats stomach. An exposed stomach means that your cat trusts
you and is comfortable around you because they are exposing their midline, which is the most
vulnerable part of their body. If your cat is exposing its stomach and you go to pet it, you will most
likely be bit and scratched. The second thing: A wagging tail. When dogs wag their tails it means they
are happy. With cats, this is not the situation. Most people mistake the wagging tail of a cat as the cat
being happy. It mean the totally opposite. A wagging tail means your cat is agitated. Over stimulation

types of things and they also refer to the social structure of dogs when they refer to cats. Cats are not
dogs. Cats have a totally different social structure. Cats show affection differently than dogs do. Dogs
are upfront about it. Cats, on the other hand, tend to be subtle. Cats might enjoy sitting next to you or
even a few inches away from you. If your cat rubs against you, it is like a hug. Cats give kisses too,

The Impact Of Modern International Development Policy On A...
Don t be fooled by the generosity of the gardener, O flower! The water that you get is for the flowers
that he wants. Persian proverb
Introduction
There is no set definition for development, but they mostly do agree that it revolves around improving
a country s living standards, economic growth, and human development. But the main definition of
development used for this paper is given by Allen Thomas (2000, p29) who state that there are three
senses of the word development , one of them being as consisting of deliberate efforts aimed at
improvement on the part of various agencies, including governments, all kinds of organisations and
social movements . Development will be discussed from the viewpoint of international development
policy and not from the broader sense of the word. This paper argues that modern international
development policy is a tool that is used by mainly rich countries to further their own interests. The
paper first briefly gives background information on the start of modern international development. The
main body then explains some of the ways that international development policy is being used as a
tool by rich donors e.g. as a soft power to exert their influence, to promote national businesses, to slow
the growth of developing countries, and to prevent the spread of other ideologies. The paper then
counters three main criticisms of the argument, namely that rich countries are increasingly trying to
provide less aid, that real gains in

Problem 1 Processing Controls
Presented in the following lines will be the three data control categories, two specific controls and
how each of the controls contributes to ensuring that the data is reliable. This problem is divided into
three different controls: Input, Processing and Output.
Input controls ensure the validity, accuracy and completeness of transactions. (Hall Singleton, 2011)
These controls mainly check the integrity of data entered into a business application. Data input is
checked to ensure that it remains within specified parameters.
Processing controls provide an automated means to ensuring the processing is complete, accurate and
authorized. (Hall Singleton, 2011). Processing controls can be divided into three categories which are
run to run controls, operator intervention controls, and Audit Trail controls.
Output controls ensure that output from the system is not lost, misdirected, or corrupted and privacy is
not violated. (Hall Singleton, 2011). These controls address what is done with the data and

Essay on Analysis of The Revolt of Mother
Analysis of The Revolt of Mother
The Revolt of Mother by Mary Wilkins Freeman, was a story of a woman who lived in New England
around or before the author s time. The mother, Sarah Penn, was kept out of the families decisions by
the father, Adoniram Penn, until one event that lead to her taking drastic actions while her husband
was gone. There are many religious symbols and actions taken by Mother within the story. Through
the story Sarah moved from a feeling of servitude to her husband, to a feeling that she was in servitude
to the Lords will and this led her, in the end, to hold power over her husband. The religious overtones

Sarah, on the other hand, is an interpreter of the Lords will.
Sarah comes to the conclusion that she is doing the Lords will when she declared the new maxim for
her self. She now believed that Unsolicited opportunities are the guideposts of the Lord to the new
roads of life . She knows that this is an unsolicited opportunity because she had nothing to do with
Hiram sending notice of a good horse to father. It is also known that Sarah believes she is doing by the
Lords will because it is a providence to her; which is taken as her having divine foresight. This
foresight comes from her being a new spirit.
The sense that she is a new spirit is implied when she states, I ve let the fire go out (528). Even though
she is talking about the stove, it is taken that it is a fire inside of her. The fire, which is a means of
destruction and chaos, was burning up her soul. And now that it was out a new spirit could take over.
The new spirit is also seen by Nanny when she tremble(s), as if it were a ghost (528). This ghost that
she feels is representative of the new spirit that has embodied mother. Because of this new feeling
both Sammy and Nanny seem to become something of religious followers to her.

Pick a man, any man. Every guy I fall for becomes Jesus Christ within the first twenty four hours of

serious mental illness, they tend to see people as salvation from their pain. In Elizabeth Wurtzel s

Elizabeth Wurtzel in her novel Prozac Nation, argues through her own trial and error, that love can not

Wurtzel s first real attempt at salvation is Zachary. She described their relationship as With Zachary

Nisei Daughter by Monica Sone Essay
Nisei Daughter, by Monica Sone
Even with all the mental anguish and struggle, an elemental instinct bound us to this soil. Here we
were born; here we wanted to live. We had tasted of its freedom and learned of its brave hopes for
democracy. It was too late, much too late for us to turn back. (Sone 124). This statement is key to
understanding much of the novel, Nisei Daughter, written by Monica Sone. From one perspective, this
novel is an autobiographical account of a Japanese American girl and the ways in which she
constructed her own self identity. On the other hand, the novel depicts the distinct differences and
tension that formed between the Issei and Nisei generations. Moreover, it can be seen as an attempt to

Throughout her novel, Monica describes events and experiences, which reveal her character and
personality. However, if perceived solely as an autobiography, the major theme of this novel is
overlooked.
I think Monica Sone focuses on, and clearly shows, the tension that arose in the Japanese American
community because they felt torn between two distinct cultures and amongst themselves. There was
also much confusion in this pre World War II and during WWII era concerning the place of Japanese
Americans in the United States. The Issei, or first generation of immigrants from Japan, were
generally highly organized in their communities. They tended to stay in close connection with
traditional Japanese culture. The Issei spoke their native language, practiced traditional Japanese
customs, and formed church groups, and other social communities amongst themselves. Similarly, the
Nisei, or second generation Japanese American, were also highly organized and formed strong ties
amongst themselves separate from the Issei. The Nisei attended Japanese schools, which enhanced
their use of the Japanese language, but more importantly, created a social network of peers. They
participated in church programs, and sports teams together. One main difference between the Issei and
Nisei was that the Nisei were considered Americans. They were born here and they held complete
citizenship. This was not true for the Issei. Another factor that separated the

Should We Do about It? The idea of a national level effort is not a new idea. The National Security
Act of 1947 provided basis of our intelligence and CI functions. DoD naturally took the mission of CI

that Michelle Van Cleave as the National CI Executive outlined the need for a national level system. A
system that could coordinate and strategically apply a CI mission against a foreign threat in a unified

My Mother Served As Minister Of Music
Eleven years ago I walked into a church. From the outside it looked like your ordinary, everyday
church, but on the inside...on the inside it felt like coming home. I went from a young girl wounded by
the hypocrisy of well meaning church goers, to a woman on fire for God and ready to step out in my
God given destiny as a warrior for the Lord.
I have been a believer since the age of seven. I can remember the exact feeling as the Holy Spirit filled
me with such longing to be a part of the family of God that I could barely sit still until the invitation to
come forward was given. But even before that, I had been in church from infancy. My mother served
as minister of music for many years, and church functions were as natural to me as breathing. But it
does not take much for the tender heart to be wounded by those that no matter how well intentioned
think they know better than God, and manage to impose their judgement and harsh words on others. I
was too new to my walk, and too stuck at my traditional faith maturity level, to understand I should
not confuse the people of God with the heart of God. I stopped going to church, and, often with the
exception of times of struggle I did not even pray. I had no idea the relationship I was missing out on
because, you see, the church I grew up in knew the Word of God but they failed to share the heart of
God. Therefore, I saw the Lord only as my judge and jury, I did not understand the grace, mercy and
goodness of God. I couldn t

The Extent of Protection for Women Against Male Violence...
DISCUSS THE EXTENT OF PROTECTION FOR WOMEN AGAINST MALE VIOLENCE BY
THE STATE. For this essay I am going to look at Domestic Violence against women and what the
State is doing to protect them. Domestic Violence is now a well known global occurrence affecting not
only women but also their children too. Violence against woman has been around since the dawn of
time. We have all seen cartoon pictures of the caveman dragging his mate behind him by her hair. It
was just something that men did. Woman had no protection against men especially if they were
married to their attacker. For the first 75 years of the 20th century women were seen as meek and
subservient to their men and were also owned by those men. Men had a social right to keep ... Show

Violence is attributed to the lower/working classes or black social groups. Sylvia Walby has attacked
this approach by saying that this is not the case. Not all under educated, low paid or low status men go
out and rape and abuse. Radical feminists see domestic violence as a widespread and classless act.
They see that men are expected to take the lead in a situation, they are supposed to be strong and
macho. They go to war and fight for their countries. Their strength is something to be looked up to not
down on. Their strength is their basis of power. The critics against this approach say that is does not
take into account class or race. Male violence is a form of social control and the state does not make
an attempt to control and eradicate it. The sate is run by men, for men, to protect men. Figures to show
the extent of male violence against women is difficult to truly estimate due to the large number of
abuse cases that are never reported to the police. Statistics that have been documented are alarming to

the deal and suggested a move could come soon.
He said: M amp;S have a fantastic property portfolio, there would be huge synergies between the two

Despite Rose persuading the City that the company s profits are going to take a hit while the recession

City investors and local authority pension funds that hold shares in M amp;S have demanded that the

What Are Some Fishermen For Fishing During Adverse Weather...
Part A
Question 1:
The article suggests some fishermen choose piracy as an alternative to fishing during adverse weather
conditions. The table below lists some of the marginal costs and benefits to fisherman during the
adverse weather conditions. As shown above, not all cost can be measured in monetary value. Implicit
costs such as opportunity costs are also considered as these are important in order to determine the
economic profit.
Piracy has far more monetary benefits than fishing during the adverse weather as suggested in the
table. Furthermore, the marginal costs of piracy are mostly based to threats/expectations, while the
marginal costs of fishing are mostly based on facts. Hence it can be said that piracy has more marginal
benefits than fishing during the adverse weather, which causes an increase in piracy.

An Experiential Approach For Organization Development
As I reflected on the course studies and what I have learned in taking this course. I came to a
conclusion that a lot of the information from the chapters will come very useful to my personal and
professional life. I decided to summarize on some of the concepts that I learned in the chapters in the
book An experiential approach to organization development . The concepts or theories that caught my
attention that I felt that I can relate to are the model of organizational development, changing the
culture, overcoming the resistance to change, goal setting theory and employee empowerment. All of
the chapters in the book can be incorporated into my professional life, and I feel that any organization
will benefit from reading this book. Model for organizational development is a continuing process of
long term organizational improvement that consists of several stages this model emphasizes on a
combination of individual, team and organizational relationships. The first phase is anticipated need
for change which states that before a change can be done there has to be a need. The manager of the
organization must feel that there is a need to change and he must adopt new ways for a change to be
productive. The second stage is developing the practitioner client relationship which means that after
the group has identified a need for change the organizational development practitioner enters the
system and a relationship begins to grow between the practitioner and the client system.

4.2 Implementation Details 4.2.1 Data Source Random Bernoulli generator generates binary data on a
per frame basis. In data output, 144 samples per frame are used, and data rate is 36 Mbps. Figure 4.2:
Data Source 4.2.2 Forward Error Correction Coding A typical problem in OFDM based systems is a
high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The available RF power amplifiers usually have a limited
linear dynamic range. This is not a problem for constant amplitude signals, however, in OFDM, due to
IFFT operation, some of the sub carriers add constructively to large amplitudes while others add
destructively. The amplitude of the signals thus varies randomly and for large amplitude signals, non
linear amplifications cause errors. Therefore, error correction codes are employed. In HiperLan2, the
data is coded with a convolutional encoder of rate 1/2. The convolutional encoder uses the industry
standard generator polynomials, g0 = 1338 and g1 = 1718, and is shown in Figure 4.3. The bit denoted
as A is the first output from the encoder while the bit denoted B is the second one. Higher code rates
are derived via puncturing. In puncturing, some of the encoded bits in the transmitter are removed ...

Difference Between Fixed And Fixed Cost
Fixed Cost:
Fixed cost as the name suggests implies any cost that remains fixed or does not change due to an
increase or decrease in the amount of services or goods produced. It is a periodic cost that remains
unchanged irrespective of the sales revenue or output, such as depreciation, insurance, wages, salaries,
etc.
The concept of fixed cost is used in short term accounting.
Fixed costs are those expenses that are necessary to be paid by a company, independent of any
business activity that is does. It is one of the two components of the total cost of a good or service,
along with variable cost. Fixed costs are not fixed permanently; they change over time, but they are
fixed in relation to the overall production quantity for the relevant period. For example, a company
may be having unexpected expenses not related to production; and warehouse costs and costs like that
are fixed only over the time period of the lease. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Suppose a company has to pay $10,000 each month if it wants to cover the cost of the lease but it is
not able to manufacture anything during the month, the lease payment still remains due in full.
In economics, if a business wants to achieve economies of scale, it must produce enough goods to
spread fixed costs. For example, the $100,000 lease spread out over 100,000 widgets implies that each
widget carries $1 in fixed costs. If the company produces 200,000 widgets, the fixed cost per unit
would drop to 50 cents.
Why it Matters:
If a company has large amount of fixed costs, it has less predictable per unit profit margins than a
company having relatively large amount of variable

The San Diego Trolley Dances
The San Diego Trolley Dances took place on October 3rd 2015. An assortment of dance pieces all
come together to furnish the city with dance in non traditional and often unexpected settings. A
program that has been established for fourteen years, the annual Trolley Dances traveled from
downtown San Diego to Balboa Park. However modern or classical the pieces may in Trolley Dances
appear to be, the combination of observation and research can provide a different perspective.
Africanist Aesthetics are principles in the qualities of African dance, as well as other African art
forms. The aesthetic of the cool is one of five Africanist Aesthetics. It embraces the principle of a
contrast between bodily movements and facial presentation and expression. This aesthetic also has a
large component of visual values; dancers are confident of their performance and offer themselves as
such. Three moments within the collection of pieces presented in Trolley Dances excellently embody
the Africanist Aesthetic of the aesthetic of the cool, in the penumbras of potential danger, physical
strain, and unexpected collisions.
A black submerged fountain floor was sprinkled with dancers at the Waterfront Park in San Diego.
The dark color scheme was contrasted by the ten dancers wearing black shirts and amethyst colored
galaxy print pants. With the absence of music, Stephan Koplowitz s dancers of the piece Play(as) ,
gradually progressed across the first segment of the reflecting pool. After

The Pillars Of Good Corporate Governance Framework
Horsch also says that a spirit of cooperation and trust must be established between agencies, the state
and local actors, if accountability systems are to be successful. In return for measurable results,
agencies with traditional oversight responsibilities will need to delegate authority and provide the
resources and technical assistance necessary for others to implement meaningful stakeholder
governance programmes . Therein lies huge dependencies on certain stakeholders having such
capacities.
All that said, overall, including stakeholder governance as one of the pillars of good corporate
governance framework can result in a more comprehensive understanding of corporate risk and
opportunity, drive learning, innovation and performance while contributing to a strong reputation and
prosperity over time. In fact, it is said that stakeholder governance has the potential to turn distrustful
opponents into critical friends .
Critical Friends
Risk and Reputation Management
Lombardo says that in the past the challenge for organisations was to support process and design
improvements and to increase their profits, the challenge of the future is to improve relationships in
order to reduce and manage the most important risks . Building this social capital by engaging with
stakeholders means organisations can reduce financial, reputational and political risks. Understanding
the concerns and interests of employees, customers, NGOs, politicians and business partners, for

among the country of japan with all of the conflicts going on.This also brought major changes

woman during this time had little say on what went on in their life, but learned how to prosper and

Persuasive Essay On Fracking
For the past six weeks, I have been doing research about fracking and it s effects on the community
and nature. I have spent hours researching and doing experiments to come to a conclusion. I would
like to share my findings with you to make sure this county is informed about the process, as I know
they might not necessarily be. I believe that Fracking should not continue in Ohio. Although it brings
jobs to the country, and bring us domestic fuel, it is becoming a health hazard to bio life, which is very
important.
Fracking (formal name hydraulic fracturing), is the process of which million of gallons of water are
pumped a mile underground to get methane out of pockets in the shale. Fracking fluid is a mixture of
chemicals and water pumped underground through supposedly safe wells. The oil companies actually
doing the fracking say that the wells are completely safe. However, only 50% of the fracking fluid is
brought out of the wells. The rest of it is left underground and never retrieved. This can contaminate
the ground we farm on an the water we drink.. Fracking affects everyone around the wells, though it
may be indirectly. It can affect someone by giving them millions of dollars for land or contaminating
their drinking water. Some environmentalists believe that this can contaminate water in the aquifer, a
mile above the shale.
The composition of fracking fluid has not been released to the public. No one knows what is in the
fluid, but people have predicted. It is thought

  • 2. Should Government Have Minimal Interference With The Internet The government should have minimal interference with the internet, but complete neutrality would eventually become harmful. The internet is primarily a place for communication. As such, it does indeed make sense that the government should not interfere. However, the internet has evolved beyond communication and has grown into forms of business. The internet has become a setting like those of the physical world, with differences, of course. For one, it costs to access the internet, and also to run it. It is not a place that we can go to just by walking with a bit of effort. We have to pay for WiFi, Ethernet, or other items from the long list of products. While there are libraries and other locations to temporarily access it, it still costs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ads and the like have infected our previously neutral communication network. That being said, this change has not been entirely bad. Companies like Google and Amazon have provided many things to us that were previously obsolete or inaccessible. We have found many items and services that would not be available without the internet. Given that the internet is beneficial to all, there are many ways with which people will try to sabotage or trap it. Malware, invasive advertisements, and uninformed “informants” clutter our perception of this wonderland. For these causes, regulation is needed. Like all things, moderation is a necessity, as too much interference will leave us resentful, but too little interference will render moderation useless. During the recent net neutrality vote, both accurate and inaccurate information was spread about the motives and effects of repealing and continuing the bill. In that atmosphere, what was true and what was false was extremely hard to differentiate. Fake news, fake websites, fake quotations, fake testimonies, fake everything! How is anyone supposed to make a fair and informed decision in that hostile environment! This was not present on just one side, however. Both sides spread misinformation to lure people to their side for their own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I think the Japanese american internment camps were unnecessary because the word Japanese American says itself that these people were as american as the people that sent them to those camps. I support my answer because in the article, In Response to Executive Order 9066: All Americans of Japanese Descent Must report to relocation centers it states, I have always felt funny using chopsticks and my favorite food is hot dogs. • 4. The Dna Samples Of Gophers Tested Background The DNA samples of gophers tested are prime examples of evolution. There are several evolutionary processes that occurred with the species being study. Speciation occurred once a river causing their gene pools to diverge separated the gophers. This evolutionary occurrence represents allopathic speciation. Furthermore, once the species gene pool diverged the morphological species concept could be observed. The Geomys attwateri is slightly larger than the Geomys brevicep by 10 mm. During this evolutionary occurrence reproductive isolation may have occurred as well. Due to the species being isolated geologically, interbreeding no longer occurred separating the gene flow of each population. If these species were able to breed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Campbell) Although morphological observations help identify species they are not as accurate as testing the DNA of species with similar resemblance. The most accurate way to identify species is to extract their DNA and use bioinformatics. To decipher if a species by its morphology can be suggested as a hypothesis, but the results of its DNA will identify the species accurately. Tissues samples can be taken from the species in question, and the DNA can be extracted from tissue. Once the DNA is extracted it can be amplified. DNA can be amplified by the PCR procedure, in which specific gene regions can be used as barcodes to identify the species. These specific regions are known as Cytochrome oxidase 1 and Cytochrome B. Once these regions are purified and amplified, the samples can be sequenced, and the species can be identified. These procedures can solve many mysteries and questions. The DNA sequencing of different species can identify where it falls on the phylogenetic tree and where the population separated to produce a new species. These procedures help us understand the evolution of ancestors to the present and the connection between each species. Two separate species with multiple similarities can be observed, and bioinformatics can help answer that question. Purpose There are several experiments that must be conducted before a species can be identified. The tissue samples of these organisms must be obtained, and their tissues must ... • 6. Effects of the BP Oil Spill Four years ago from today, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded and sunk, killing eleven people. Underwater cameras showed that the pipe was leaking oil and gas about 40 miles from the coast of Louisiana. This leak would eventually release about 4.9 million barrels of oil into the Gulf before it would be capped 87 days later. Immediately after the explosion, workers from Transocean, BP, and the government attempted to control the spread of oil to the coast by using oil booms and chemical dispersants to break down underwater oil. However, these methods had problems. First, oil booms only stop the spread of surface oil. While that sounds good, lots of the oil was beneath the surface and the booms did nothing to stop the spread of this oil. Second, the chemical dispersants used to break down the underwater oil could be just as harmful to marine life as the oil was. Over 1.84 million gallons of Corexit dispersant were used in the Gulf. Use of the dispersant was described as the most effective and fast moving tool for minimizing shoreline impact . Despite these claims, an analysis conducted by Toxipedia showed that the dispersant could contain cancer causing agents, hazardous toxins and endocrine disrupting chemicals. Scientists were concerned that the dispersants made a spill even more toxic, increasing the danger to wildlife. The dangers are even greater when poured into the source of a spill, because they are picked up by the current and washed through the Gulf. The oil ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. History And Evolution Of The Anti Feminist Movement Essay In this paper, I will be exploring in depth the history and evolution of the anti feminist movement as a reaction to feminism in the United States. As a background, I will provide a brief summary of the feminist movement and it s relation to anti feminism. Then I will go into the anti feminist movement, and it s origins, background, and main supporters. Although anti feminism was founded as a backlash movement, it actually sparked another wave of movements itself, those of which I will explore as well. Lastly, I will look at how anti feminism has evolved over time, and it s impact on society and feminism as a whole. Although feminism in the United States can be dated back to the early 18th century, any movements or advocates during that time were scarce, and the societal influence accomplished was little to none. The feminist movement didn t really start to get started until the 19th century. 19th century through mid 20th century feminism is considered First wave feminism, which includes the suffrage movement, education reform, workplace reform, and the beginning of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) movements (Harding, 1981). The first wave of feminism peaked and is said to have ended with the passage of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote, and putting an end to the highly influential suffrage movement. Second wave feminism is the period of the feminist movement which took place from mid to late 20th century into the 21st century (Harding, 1981). This period ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Friedrich Nietzsche s own skepticism symbolized the secular changes in contemporary Western civilization, in which he details mankind s break away from faith into a new rule of chaos. In Book 5 of The Gay Science, Nietzsche establishes that God is dead , meaning that modern Europe has abandoned religion in favor of rationality and science (Nietzsche 279). From this death, the birth of a new infinite blossoms in which the world is open to an unlimited amount of interpretations that do not rely on the solid foundations of faith in religion or science. Despite such claims, Nietzsche criticizes this mistaken idea that the knowledge of the universe can be comprehended by any method; he argues that not even the most scrupulously conscientious analysis and self examination of the intellect cannot successfully interpret the progressive history of the world as the human intellect cannot avoid seeing itself in [only] its perspectives (Nietzsche 336). To Nietzsche, Kant and Hegel s attempts to find truth in history is faulty because faith is just now found in science and reasoning rather than religion. What Kant and Hegel fail to realize is that the human race s separation from this faith gave rise to our new infinite , in which the world has become infinite for [humanity] all over again, inasmuch as we cannot reject the possibility that it may include infinite interpretations (Nietzsche 336). Thus the new infinite is self consciously made by the individual members of humanity itself, as we can now independently interpret the world ourselves as we see fit. Nietzsche declares that even if some of these interpretations may include too much devilry, stupidity and foolishness , it does not matter because it does not rely on faith (Nietzsche 336). The new infinite that arises is ours, in which the abundance of perspectives is too overwhelming for any scholar to give meaning to such chaos. There is no logical reason how such disorder should ... Sailes Irving APUSH Summer Assignment Chapter 1: Chapter 1 focused on introducing two politicians that were about to have a duel on July 11, 1804. Aaron Burr was the third vice president of the United States and the vice president during Thomas Jefferson s term. Alexander Hamilton was a founding father of the United States and apart of the federalist party. Both Hamilton and Burr were each other s political rival and would insult one another until they arranged a duel to end their dispute. The duel ended with Hamilton shooting Burr in the right side causing him to die the next day. Newspapers exaggerated the situation by making it seem like Hamilton murdered Burr out of cold blood and dwindling his reputation as a politician. What interested me in this chapter was that in the past they used dueling as a way to handle disputes between one another. However, I don t think that dueling was the smartest method of settling a coral between people because it is a selfish act that is similar to suicide and risk ruining your life. Chapter 2: Chapter 2 consisted of Hamilton considering to resign from being the secretary of treasury if his fiscal was rejected because he would then of no use but Jefferson suggested that he could possibly help Hamilton. Hermetic meetings were hosted at Jefferson s home, and they were arranged and called dinners . Improvements of processes in manufacturing were so efficient, that numbers of workers has declined significantly. Two reforms were passed around this time by mechanical engineer Frederick W. The design and visual characteristics of The First Sermon serve as clear evidence that the work was created during the rule of the Kushan empire, specifically in Gandhara. Additionally, those same characteristics suggest that the piece was most likely used for adornment of a temple or other structure rather than for individual worship. But the main definition of development used for this paper is given by Allen Thomas (2000, p29) who state that there are three senses of the word development , one of them being as consisting of deliberate efforts aimed at improvement on the part of various agencies, including governments, all kinds of organisations and social movements . Development will be discussed from the viewpoint of international development policy and not from the broader sense of the word. This paper argues that modern international development policy is a tool that is used by mainly rich countries to further their own interests. The paper first briefly gives background information on the start of modern international development. The main body then explains some of the ways that international development policy is being used as a tool by rich donors e.g. as a soft power to exert their influence, to promote national businesses, to slow the growth of developing countries, and to prevent the spread of other ideologies. • 34. Nisei Daughter by Monica Sone Essay Nisei Daughter, by Monica Sone Even with all the mental anguish and struggle, an elemental instinct bound us to this soil. Here we were born; here we wanted to live. We had tasted of its freedom and learned of its brave hopes for democracy. It was too late, much too late for us to turn back. (Sone 124). This statement is key to understanding much of the novel, Nisei Daughter, written by Monica Sone. From one perspective, this novel is an autobiographical account of a Japanese American girl and the ways in which she constructed her own self identity. On the other hand, the novel depicts the distinct differences and tension that formed between the Issei and Nisei generations. Moreover, it can be seen as an attempt to describe the ... However, if perceived solely as an autobiography, the major theme of this novel is overlooked. I think Monica Sone focuses on, and clearly shows, the tension that arose in the Japanese American community because they felt torn between two distinct cultures and amongst themselves. There was also much confusion in this pre World War II and during WWII era concerning the place of Japanese Americans in the United States. The Issei, or first generation of immigrants from Japan, were generally highly organized in their communities. They tended to stay in close connection with traditional Japanese culture. The Issei spoke their native language, practiced traditional Japanese customs, and formed church groups, and other social communities amongst themselves. Similarly, the Nisei, or second generation Japanese American, were also highly organized and formed strong ties amongst themselves separate from the Issei. The Nisei attended Japanese schools, which enhanced their use of the Japanese language, but more importantly, created a social network of peers. They participated in church programs, and sports teams together. One main difference between the Issei and Nisei was that the Nisei were considered Americans. They were born here and they held complete citizenship. This was not true for the Issei. Another factor that separated the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The idea of a national level effort is not a new idea. The National Security Act of 1947 provided basis of our intelligence and CI functions. DoD naturally took the mission of CI activity which fit within the DoD scope. Up and until the 1980s a series of failures within the CI world, such as the failed hostage rescue in 1980 helped to place emphasis on the lack of coordination between DoD services. Initially the NCIX was to set policy for counterintelligence in areas of counterespionage, information security and critical infrastructure protection. It was in this position that Michelle Van Cleave as the National CI Executive outlined the need for a national level system. A system that could coordinate and strategically apply a CI mission against a foreign threat in a unified cohesive manner. The road blocks that Michelle Van Cleave outlined, show a common issue within the U.S. government and also a picture of the CI effort in its essence of trying to overcome an ever existing problem with expounded complexities. Michelle Van Cleave wants to take CI to a clearer objective in the offensive realm of CI. To take the efforts to the foreign state rather than waiting to react to the foreign state acting in the U.S. Within Michelle Van Cleave s writing there is a strong sense given that we have a sharp tool to use, but we have not taken full advantage of its capabilities. • 36. My Mother Served As Minister Of Music Eleven years ago I walked into a church. From the outside it looked like your ordinary, everyday church, but on the inside...on the inside it felt like coming home. I went from a young girl wounded by the hypocrisy of well meaning church goers, to a woman on fire for God and ready to step out in my God given destiny as a warrior for the Lord. I have been a believer since the age of seven. I can remember the exact feeling as the Holy Spirit filled me with such longing to be a part of the family of God that I could barely sit still until the invitation to come forward was given. But even before that, I had been in church from infancy. My mother served as minister of music for many years, and church functions were as natural to me as breathing. But it does not take much for the tender heart to be wounded by those that no matter how well intentioned think they know better than God, and manage to impose their judgement and harsh words on others. I was too new to my walk, and too stuck at my traditional faith maturity level, to understand I should not confuse the people of God with the heart of God. I stopped going to church, and, often with the exception of times of struggle I did not even pray. I had no idea the relationship I was missing out on because, you see, the church I grew up in knew the Word of God but they failed to share the heart of God. Therefore, I saw the Lord only as my judge and jury, I did not understand the grace, mercy and goodness of God. I couldn t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For this essay I am going to look at Domestic Violence against women and what the State is doing to protect them. Domestic Violence is now a well known global occurrence affecting not only women but also their children too. Violence against woman has been around since the dawn of time. We have all seen cartoon pictures of the caveman dragging his mate behind him by her hair. It was just something that men did. Woman had no protection against men especially if they were married to their attacker. For the first 75 years of the 20th century women were seen as meek and subservient to their men and were also owned by those men. Men had a social right to keep ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Violence is attributed to the lower/working classes or black social groups. Sylvia Walby has attacked this approach by saying that this is not the case. Not all under educated, low paid or low status men go out and rape and abuse. Radical feminists see domestic violence as a widespread and classless act. They see that men are expected to take the lead in a situation, they are supposed to be strong and macho. They go to war and fight for their countries. Their strength is something to be looked up to not down on. Their strength is their basis of power. The critics against this approach say that is does not take into account class or race. Male violence is a form of social control and the state does not make an attempt to control and eradicate it. The sate is run by men, for men, to protect men. Figures to show the extent of male violence against women is difficult to truly estimate due to the large number of abuse cases that are never reported to the police. Statistics that have been documented are alarming to say the least. § 1 in 4 women may experience violence in their relationships with men (Women s Aid Federation {England} report 1992) § Severe, repeated and systematic violence occurs in at least 5 of every hundred marriages in the UK: Between 40% and 45% of murdered women are killed by their male partners; Between 1 and 2 women are murdered by their male partners every week; More that 25% of all violent crime repeated to the ... Part A Question 1: The article suggests some fishermen choose piracy as an alternative to fishing during adverse weather conditions. The table below lists some of the marginal costs and benefits to fisherman during the adverse weather conditions. As shown above, not all cost can be measured in monetary value. Implicit costs such as opportunity costs are also considered as these are important in order to determine the economic profit. Piracy has far more monetary benefits than fishing during the adverse weather as suggested in the table. Furthermore, the marginal costs of piracy are mostly based to threats/expectations, while the marginal costs of fishing are mostly based on facts. Hence it can be said that piracy has more marginal benefits than fishing during the adverse weather, which causes an increase in piracy. I came to a conclusion that a lot of the information from the chapters will come very useful to my personal and professional life. I decided to summarize on some of the concepts that I learned in the chapters in the book An experiential approach to organization development . The concepts or theories that caught my attention that I felt that I can relate to are the model of organizational development, changing the culture, overcoming the resistance to change, goal setting theory and employee empowerment. All of the chapters in the book can be incorporated into my professional life, and I feel that any organization will benefit from reading this book. Model for organizational development is a continuing process of long term organizational improvement that consists of several stages this model emphasizes on a combination of individual, team and organizational relationships. The first phase is anticipated need for change which states that before a change can be done there has to be a need. The manager of the organization must feel that there is a need to change and he must adopt new ways for a change to be productive. The second stage is developing the practitioner client relationship which means that after the group has identified a need for change the organizational development practitioner enters the system and a relationship begins to grow between the practitioner and the client system. ... • 42. Nt1330 Unit 4.2 Paper 4.2 Implementation Details 4.2.1 Data Source Random Bernoulli generator generates binary data on a per frame basis. In data output, 144 samples per frame are used, and data rate is 36 Mbps. Figure 4.2: Data Source 4.2.2 Forward Error Correction Coding A typical problem in OFDM based systems is a high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The available RF power amplifiers usually have a limited linear dynamic range. This is not a problem for constant amplitude signals, however, in OFDM, due to IFFT operation, some of the sub carriers add constructively to large amplitudes while others add destructively. The amplitude of the signals thus varies randomly and for large amplitude signals, non linear amplifications cause errors. Therefore, error correction codes are employed. In HiperLan2, the data is coded with a convolutional encoder of rate 1/2. The convolutional encoder uses the industry standard generator polynomials, g0 = 1338 and g1 = 1718, and is shown in Figure 4.3. The bit denoted as A is the first output from the encoder while the bit denoted B is the second one. Higher code rates are derived via puncturing. A zero padded block adds zeros, in the right places, to adjust the IFFT bin size to length N. Selector block rearranges the sub carriers so that real signal output can be generated. • 43. Difference Between Fixed And Fixed Cost Fixed Cost: Fixed cost as the name suggests implies any cost that remains fixed or does not change due to an increase or decrease in the amount of services or goods produced. It is a periodic cost that remains unchanged irrespective of the sales revenue or output, such as depreciation, insurance, wages, salaries, etc. The concept of fixed cost is used in short term accounting. Fixed costs are those expenses that are necessary to be paid by a company, independent of any business activity that is does. It is one of the two components of the total cost of a good or service, along with variable cost. Fixed costs are not fixed permanently; they change over time, but they are fixed in relation to the overall production quantity for the relevant period. For example, a company may be having unexpected expenses not related to production; and warehouse costs and costs like that are fixed only over the time period of the lease. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Suppose a company has to pay $10,000 each month if it wants to cover the cost of the lease but it is not able to manufacture anything during the month, the lease payment still remains due in full. In economics, if a business wants to achieve economies of scale, it must produce enough goods to spread fixed costs. For example, the $100,000 lease spread out over 100,000 widgets implies that each widget carries $1 in fixed costs. If the company produces 200,000 widgets, the fixed cost per unit would drop to 50 cents. Why it Matters: If a company has large amount of fixed costs, it has less predictable per unit profit margins than a company having relatively large amount of variable ... A program that has been established for fourteen years, the annual Trolley Dances traveled from downtown San Diego to Balboa Park. However modern or classical the pieces may in Trolley Dances appear to be, the combination of observation and research can provide a different perspective. Africanist Aesthetics are principles in the qualities of African dance, as well as other African art forms. The aesthetic of the cool is one of five Africanist Aesthetics. It embraces the principle of a contrast between bodily movements and facial presentation and expression. This aesthetic also has a large component of visual values; dancers are confident of their performance and offer themselves as such. Three moments within the collection of pieces presented in Trolley Dances excellently embody the Africanist Aesthetic of the aesthetic of the cool, in the penumbras of potential danger, physical strain, and unexpected collisions. The Pillars Of Good Corporate Governance Framework Horsch also says that a spirit of cooperation and trust must be established between agencies, the state and local actors, if accountability systems are to be successful. In return for measurable results, agencies with traditional oversight responsibilities will need to delegate authority and provide the resources and technical assistance necessary for others to implement meaningful stakeholder governance programmes . Therein lies huge dependencies on certain stakeholders having such capacities. All that said, overall, including stakeholder governance as one of the pillars of good corporate governance framework can result in a more comprehensive understanding of corporate risk and opportunity, drive learning, innovation and performance while contributing to a strong reputation and prosperity over time. In fact, it is said that stakeholder governance has the potential to turn distrustful opponents into critical friends . I have spent hours researching and doing experiments to come to a conclusion. I would like to share my findings with you to make sure this county is informed about the process, as I know they might not necessarily be. I believe that Fracking should not continue in Ohio. Although it brings jobs to the country, and bring us domestic fuel, it is becoming a health hazard to bio life, which is very important. Fracking (formal name hydraulic fracturing), is the process of which million of gallons of water are pumped a mile underground to get methane out of pockets in the shale. Fracking fluid is a mixture of chemicals and water pumped underground through supposedly safe wells. The oil companies actually doing the fracking say that the wells are completely safe. However, only 50% of the fracking fluid is brought out of the wells. The rest of it is left underground and never retrieved. This can contaminate the ground we farm on an the water we drink.. Fracking affects everyone around the wells, though it may be indirectly. It can affect someone by giving them millions of dollars for land or contaminating their drinking water. Some environmentalists believe that this can contaminate water in the aquifer, a mile above the shale. The composition of fracking fluid has not been released to the public.
