visions and dreams, he believes that he acts as God s instrument, and he has divine foreknowledge of

sense of romance, which is a central theme of the film. However, in The Shining , the camera follows
a single yellow car through a changing scenery of mountains and landscapes. From the wideness of
the shots, we see the environment as desolated and lonely. The audience is aware that there is no sign
of life apart from the driver of the car. This hints that isolation will be an important theme of the film.

to different people. After reading Fernando Orejuela s Rap and Hip Hop Culture, one would get a
better understanding of the various dimensions of the hip hop culture. For instance, there is a cultural
dimension that has played a tremendous role in the hip hop culture. Many of the modern styles of
dancing and music have come from traditions that were passed down. According to Orejuela, this is in
