The Most Uneven Great Poet By Tenney Nathanson
Come, said my soul,
Such verses for my Body let us write, (for we are one,)
That should I after death invisibly return,
Or, long, long hence, in other spheres,
There to some group of mates the chants resuming,
(Tallying Earth s soil, trees, winds, tumultuous waves,)
Ever with pleas d smile I may keep on,
Ever and ever yet the verses owning as, first, I here and now,
Singing for Soul and Body, set to them my name,
Walt Whitman
Walt Whitman, termed America s most uneven great poet by Tenney Nathanson, is one of America s
greatest poets. Born in 1819 in Long Island, Whitman lived during an era when sexuality, especially
homosexuality, a term not coined until years later, was a taboo subject not to be discussed in public.

With the release of Leaves of Grass, a new form of poetry is born. This form defies convention in
presentation and subject matter. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and
recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous
poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful.
The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of
Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness
than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme
into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of
some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is
universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is
also beautiful (Whitman 208).
Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only
does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem,
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry . He combines with the river, the street and other objects. The glories strung
like beads on my smallest sights and hearings, on the walk in the street and the passage

Juvenile Crime Statistics Paper
This paper will address and summarize four different points from the juvenile arrests bulletin from
2001. Such points included in the summary are the overall decrease in juvenile arrests, the increase in
drug offenses and simple assaults, implications for juvenile females and minorities, and last an
assessment of the tracking of juvenile arrests as a method of measuring the amount of and trends in
juvenile crime.
In 2001 the juvenile violent crime index arrest rate declined for the seventh consecutive year. The rate
increased dramatically from the late 1980 s through 1994 and then began its steady downward trend.
By 2001 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The racial composition of juvenile population in 2001 was 78% white, 17% black, 4% Asian/pacific
islander, and 1% American Indian. Most Hispanics (an ethnic designation, not a race) were classified
as white. Black youth were overrepresented in juvenile arrests for violent crimes. All juvenile arrests
for violent crimes break down like this 55% involved white youth, 43% involved black youth, 1%
involved Asian youth, and 1% involved American Indian youth.
Assessment of tracking juvenile arrests and crime is important to know so the government knows what
laws are working and what laws need to be revised. Murder arrests in 2001 were near their lowest
levels since at least 1980 for both white and black youth. Between 1993 and 2001, murder rates for
white juveniles declined 62% while the rate for black juveniles declined 79%. In 2001 the robbery
arrests rates for both black youth and white youth were at a 20 year low. The 2001 aggravated assault
arrest rate for black juveniles was much closer to its 1980 level than was the rate for white juveniles.
The juvenile arrest rates for weapons violations and murder more than doubled between 1987 and the
peak year 1993. After 1993 both rates fell substantially the juvenile arrest rate for weapons law
violations was cut in half falling 49% and returning to the 1987 level. Between 1980 and 1993 the
juvenile arrest rate for drug abuse violations remained within a limited range. Between 1993 and 1997
however the rate grew 77% by

Drugs and the Music Industry Throughout the years, drugs and music have been as synonymous as
America and baseball. Especially within the past 50 years, this nation has experienced the birth, and
death, of many genres of music due to rampant drug use. Sure, we all know that drugs are bad for you
and that if you abuse them, they will eventually lead to your death, but these substances have created
music that has inspired millions around the world, and who is to say that is a bad thing? We have all

The use of drugs in the music scene was at its most extreme during the Hardcore Punk movement of
the 1980 s. This scene was entirely different from any that was experienced before. Drug use also held
initial significance in the movement; the inherent connection between recreational drug use and the
production of rock music applied to the Hardcore movement just as it appeared in the music of the 60
s. (Cashbaugh) The punks took any drug that was available to them that was cheap and hit fast and
hard. Inevitably, their drug of choice became speed because, It was cheap, it was around, and you
could play fast music on it. It also curtailed your appetite. In San Francisco, the Negative Trend guys
literally lived on potatoes. (Marzuk) This revolutionary drug let musicians play for days upon end
with no sleep and little need for basic necessities. It may have taken a toll on their bodies, however the
pure, raw energy it created was something never seen before. Drug use, however, does not increase
your creativity. There is no scientific evidence that shows a direct correlation between drug and
alcohol use and the creative parts of your brains. To the contrary, studies have shown that I actually

such a direct link between the two that when people take drugs, they convince themselves that they

Ichabod Crane In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Ichabod Crane is not only a dynamic all around character, but he is one of the main characters in the
story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. The story is somewhat of a dramatic love
story set in a creepy town in New York in the 1800 s. Ichabod Crane and Abraham Brom VanBrunt
(Brom Bones) were in competition for the same girl (Katrina). Of course, this girl happens to be the
daughter of the richest guy in town and she is pretty good looking. Ichabod thought if he would hit on
her that she would fall for him. This created a lot of conflict between the two men and tested their
manhood. Ichabod Crane ends up getting chased out of town by the Headless Horsemen. This led to
Brom Bones sweeping Katrina off of her feet and he being the one who ends up getting the girl.. In the

Copper Iron Stoichiometry Lab Report Essay
Copper Iron Stoichiometry
Lab Report
10/3/12
Abstract:
The lab performed required the use of quantitative and analytical analysis along with limiting reagent
analysis. The reaction of Copper (II) Sulfate, CuSO4, mass of 7.0015g with 2.0095g Fe or iron
powder produced a solid precipitate of copper while the solution remained the blue color. Through this
the appropriate reaction had to be determined out of the two possibilities. Through the use of a
vacuum filtration system the mass of Cu was found to be 2.1726g which meant that through limiting
reagent analysis Fe was determined to be the limiting reagent and the chemical reaction was
determined to be as following:

Rebuttal For Refugees Essay
Rebuttal While offering help to refugees is necessary, caution should be taken on the appropriateness
of the immigrants. Individuals proposing that employees should be accepted in any country fail to
present reliable evidence to justify their claims. In fact, issues arise when the aspect of peace raises
questions among the locals. Fundamentally, accepting immigrants from war torn areas into the U.S. is
a way of fulfilling the moral obligation (Hansel 15). Besides, it saves individuals from brutal death
and the disastrous outcomes of battle. Equally, it would be shameful for a well developed country with
many resources such as America to just sit back and watch as people suffer in front of their eyes
knowing that they can offer assistance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
is subject to debate. Firstly, the availability of cheap labor reduces the wages which high schools of
Native American dropout get (Tichenor 11). Most refugees perform the difficult tasks that the well
educated citizens cannot undertake since they readily accept low wages. Since the labor intensive
tasks do not require sophisticated skills, school dropouts find them as the best opportunities for them
to acquire a salary. However, due to the benefits offered to the refugees already working there, the
Americans have no option but accept the low wages. Even though the U.S. fulfills its humanitarian
responsibility by giving homage to refugees, it would be unethical to do so at the cost of the natives.
The danger imposed by the acceptance of immigrants from regions which face terrorism is a critical
issue subject to questions. Although the U.S. government screens its refugees, it does not warrant the
innocence of the foreigners (Hansel 18). It is possible for terrorists to invade the borders of America in
the name of seeking refuge from wars in their countries. Similarly, if allowing immigrants into the
nation triggers anxiety among the locals, it is not

The Wanderings Of Odysseus And The Odyssey And The Odyssey
In Edith Hamilton s book, Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes and in The Wanderings of
Odysseus from The Odyssey the epic poem by Homer and translated by Robert Fitzgerald, Jason and
Odysseus display the following similar traits throughout their adventures: selfishness, dishonesty, and
delegate. Throughout Jason and Odysseus adventures, they both showed a great amount of selfishness.
Selfishness is the act of being selfish, lacking consideration for others. On Jason s quest to finding the
Golden Fleece, the author mentions, ...he thought of ambition only, never of love or of gratitude
(Hamilton 133). During the long quest for the Golden Fleece, Jason was only focused on being
successful, not much different from Odysseus. While on Odysseus voyage there had been fierce
cannibals who bombarded the fleet of ships with boulders. Selfishness played apart of this
misdemeanor because Odysseus didn t seem to care to help out the rest of his crew, Only Odysseus,
his ship, and its crew of 45 survive the shower of boulders. The lone ship then sails to Aeaea, home of
the goddess Circe, who is considered by many to be a witch (Fitzgerald 1224). Both scenarios from
Hamilton s book and Fitzgerald s book are very similar. The main characters both seem like they only
care about themselves being successful and they don t fully put thought into their mentor s health.
Mentors are the people who have intentions to helping out. The mentor in The Mythology would be
Medea and in The Odyssey, it would have been his crew, who did not survive on the other ships. They
may have not been aware that they were being selfish because they were busy having their mind set on
having to stay alive and complete the duty. In effect of having their minds only set on getting the job
done, all three of these characteristics have played a part of it.
A great amount of dishonesty had played a part on the way of Jason and Odysseus adventures. In
Edith Hamilton s book, Jason showed dishonesty by taking all the glory when many people helped
along the way, All that she did evil and of good was done for him alone, and in the end, all the reward
she got was that he turned traitor to her (Hamilton 133). Jason wasn t very honest to Medea,

St. Thomas Aquinas
Saint Thomas Aquinas was a philosopher, theologian, Doctor of the Catholic Church, and is the patron
saint of Catholic Universities, colleges, and schools. He was born in Rocca Secca, Italy, in 1225 and
was born into a wealthy family. He even was related to the kings of Aragon, Castile, and France. His
journey into Catholic beliefs seemed predestined, for he was told when he was a young child that he
would become a friar and no one would be equal to him. He started his questioning of faith and
religion when he was a youngster, frequently asking his teachers, What is God? Saint Thomas was a

4) Therefore, there must be an uncaused first cause called God. The third manner of Aquinas support
of God was that there are two types of beings, contingent beings (humans) and a necessary being
(God). Saint Thomas believed that this necessary being (God), was necessary for the contingent
beings (humans), to exist and without God, we humans would not exist. The easiest way to explain
this very confusing subject would be as follows: 1) Contingent beings are caused. 2) Not every being
can be contingent. 3) There must exist a being that is necessary to cause contingent beings. 4) This
necessary being is God. Saint Thomas Aquinas fourth argument of the presence of God came from his
observations of the quality of objects. For example one may say that of two paintings one is more
beautiful than the other. So for these two objects, one has a greater degree of beauty than the next.
This is referred to as degrees or graduation of a quality. From this fact Aquinas concluded that for any
given quality (e.g. goodness, beauty, knowledge) there must be a perfect standard by which all such
qualities are measured. These perfections are contained and reflected in God. God is the ultimate and
everything is insufficient compared to His greatness. The final way that Saint Thomas Aquinas speaks
of God s existence has to do with the observable universe and the order of nature. Aquinas states that
common sense tells us that the universe works in such a way, that

Essay on Performance Appraisals
Performance Appraisals have been around for several years. Every year employees and managers both
dread this time of year. The employees dread it because they are not looking forward to the feedback
they will hear from their boss. The boss is dreading it because they are wasting time filling out the
standard form, and basically checking the box that the appraisal has been completed. In our textbook it
states, Giving performance feedback is the No. 1 dreaded task of managers (Kreitner 283).
Performance appraisals should not be a dreaded part of the job for the employer or employee.

Their bosses thought that by giving them a bonus or pay increase would suffice, and they would
continue doing a good job. Sometimes this basic system succeeded in getting the results that were
intended; but more often than not, it failed (Archer North). As researchers dug more into the details,
they found that employers really needed to look more into what motivates employees and not to
assume that money is the only motivator. From their studies, they were able to see that companies
should look more at the morale and self esteem of their workforce. Once this information was
revealed, the use of rewards as the main motivator was pushed to the side. The general model of
performance appraisal, as it is known today, began from that time (Archer North). In today s business
world, performance appraisals are still widely used, yet at the same time very criticized. One of the
reasons appraisals are criticized is some feel that they are a waste of time and are not value added.
Samuel Culbert, author of the book, Get Rid of Performance Reviews states, This corporate sham is
one of the most insidious, most damaging, and yet most ubiquitous of corporate activities (Culbert).
He goes on to say that, Everybody does it, and almost everyone who s evaluated hates it (Culbert). He
feels that appraisals are worthless and should never be a method used for giving employees feedback.

The Social Responsibility Of A Business
MF believed that a business itself cannot have any social responsibility. Only the people who own or
are affiliated with the business can have any form of social responsibly. His article, A Friedman
Doctrine : The Social Responsibility of Business if to Increase Its Profits, outlines what this means for
a business s corporate executive. The corporate executive is the employee of the business owner and,
therefore, is directly responsible to them. Friedman states that the corporate executive s responsibility,

(Friedman).
Porter and Kramer take a very different stance on this topic. They believe that there is a very real and
strong link between CSR and competitive analysis. The modern world ranks businesses on their CSR
and directs a significant amount of publicity towards companies who are focused on the health and
welfare of their customers and the earth. The traditional mindset concerning CSR puts business and
society at odds, when in reality they are interdependent and reliant on each other. Porter Kramer think
that antiquated thoughts about CSR have pressured businesses into thinking that there is an only one
generic approach to CSR. This one size fits all mindset does not actually fit all, and it is in no way the
best for all business strategies. Porter Kramer believe this mindset leads to a disconnected and

developing in all of the fields, and in less than 15 years this development became faster. In medicine
robots are manly used in surgeries for its many advantages, but it differs from the other fields that
until now robots did not take the doctors place, so robotics in medicine are used to just help in the
surgeries. In this assay i am going to write about robots in medicine, to see if they are helpful in
medicine or not by comparing their advantages to their disadvantages, and by looking at the fields that
they are already using robots, and finally I will list some examples and focus on two to know more
about how it works. Medical application the most importing and spread application is in robotic
surgeries, it is a method so doctors can do small and precise surgeries that are hard to be done by
them, or even impossible. Using small tools attached and managed by computer that is controlled by
the doctor, the main surgeries are in brain, spinal cord, throat, knee, or heart (figure 1.1). These
operations are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Looking at the application that I already mentioned above we find many advantages. The most
obvious benefit is for the surgical application, small scars by decreasing the incision to decrease the
blood loss and no transfusion needed specially for patients that have blood issues, small incisions also
needed in surgeries in areas like brain and spinal cords. The second advantage is the robots precision
that is needed for the sensitive operations. Length of hospital stay will be less also because of the fast
recovery and because of using the diagnosis applications that checks the patient status continuously in
his/her home. What also could be a benefit is to decrease the operation

Comparison Of Alexander Pushkin And Robert Frost
Therese Youso
ENG 312: Lyric Poetry
Sr. Mary Dominic, O.P.
April 28, 2015
Alexander Pushkin and Robert Frost both have written poems about autumn. There is a correlation
between these two poems since they share many romantic features. Autumn and After Apple Picking
are both alike and different in many ways. Alexander Pushkin was born in Moscow, Russia and lived
from 1799 until 1837. He wrote from a very young age, not only writing poetry, but also dramas and
novels. He died in a duel when he was 39 years old. Autumn is a poem that contains many of the
elements of romanticism. The first quality is feelings. This whole poem oozes the feelings of Pushkin.
The first line is October comes at last. The feeling of relief is obvious, and there is a sense of an event
finally coming. It is as if his patience was being tested and wearing thin. He could hardly wait for
autumn. In the second stanza he writes, This is my time! What is the spring to me? Spring makes me
ill: my mind is never free from dizzy dreams, my blood s in constant ferment. He clearly does not like
the spring season at all. It is boring and there is a tone of disgust. He compares the fun and excitement
of winter. There is definitely a large range between the way he feels about what spring brings and
what winter brings. Winter is almost bearable to Pushkin. Winter is fun. He enjoys the activities and
cold weather of the winter. In stanza four, he writes, O, summer fair! I would have loved you too,

The History Of Video Games
History of video games. Have you ever played a video game and wonder? How does this thing work?
Who invented it? Well you in luck because I have all the information that you need to tell you about
the history of video games. How video games have advance right along with technology that we use in
everyday life. If you ask people. When video games did first came out? Most people would say in the
1970 s and they would be wrong. In 1958, William A. Higinbotham, an engineer working for the
United States government, came up with first game played on a type of screen. It was a two player
tennis game played on an oscilloscope, a piece of electronic equipment with a 5 inch display . (The
history of video games) In 1961, Steve Russell developed the first game played on a computer called
Spacewar . The game was a hit with people but only a very few would really have the chance to enjoy
it. The reason was because back then a computer was the size of a car and very expensive this system
cost about $120,000. Only about fifty of these computer were ever sold. In the mid 1960 the Military
wanted some sort of device that would develop the reflexes of the military personnel. In 1966 Ralph
Baer, an employee of defense contractor Sanders Associates, addressed this demand when he came up
with the concept of a television gaming apparatus. (Miller) It took four more year to get a working
system. When Baer did he showed it to Magnavox, which then signed him to a licensing agreement in

Case Study On Cuttlefish

Masters of deception: Male Cuttlefish are coming to Steal Your Girl
Do you think you can keep other males away from your female partner by guarding her 24/7? You
know what? You cannot...Not if you re a male mourning cuttlefish. Biologists from Macquaire
University, Sydney have found out that by abusing their exceptional visual signaling skills male
cuttlefish are able to steal partners of rival males in front of their eyes!
Mourning cuttlefish are small marine animals which are 15cm on average and belong to the group
(Cephalapoda class to be specific) which include squids and octopus and their relatives. Mourning
cuttlefish live on eastern coasts of Australia. These animals like their relatives, are extremely social
and have high cognitive abilities. They are mostly known for their incredible ability to change color
and texture of their skin.
These cuttlefish use their ability to change the color of their skin for various purposes including
camouflage and communication with other cuttlefish and other animals. It was their ability to use their
changing coloration for communicating with their kind which attracted attention ... Show more

They also did some additional observations on captive cuttlefish which, in my opinion, may not be so
reliable because it is known that behavior of animals can change substantially during captivity due to
unrealistic social and physical surrounding of the individuals. What the scientists did during their
observations was they followed a male cuttlefish and took photos of close encounters of the individual
with other individuals. The photos were taken so that both sides the male s body is visible in the
photo. They also recorded the number of individuals within the social interaction group and their

Bunnatine Greenhouse Case Study
On the 27th of June, 2005, Bunnatine Greenhouse, a chief contracting officer for the United States
Army Corps of Engineers, testified before a Congressional panel, alleging specific instances of
corruption committed by Halliburton Corporation with regard to its operations in Iraq since the start of
the war there in 2003. By testifying, Greenhouse became one of many corporate whistle blowers that
brought government and corporate corruption related to the reconstruction of Iraq to the attention of
the public. Testifying came at a heavy price for Greenhouse, who was demoted because of her actions.
The lead up to the Iraq war would lead to professional difficulties for Greenhouse, who her former

Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura ( Itp )
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)
The first official report on Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura was written by Paul Gottlieb
Werlhof in 1735. As such, the name Werlhof s disease was used when referring to Idiopathic
Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) until the early 19th century when scientists linked purpura with
abnormalities in the platelet count. In 1916 Paul Kaznelson made a report of the successful response
on a young woman who had undergone a splenectomy in treating the ITP disease, this method was use
until 1950 s after which steroid therapy was introduced. (Newland, sec. 1)
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura is also known as, primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura,
and autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura, it is a bleeding disorder and manifest as a clinical acute
disorder in children, which is short term and chronic disorder, long term in adults. Women are shown
to contract this disease two to three times more than men. The key characteristic is the destruction of
platelets by the autoimmune system which mistakenly attacks and destroys the body s platelets, the
reason is unknown thus the name idiopathic . The onset is linked to viral or bacterial infection which
acts as a trigger . This disease is not transferable from one person to another.
The signs and symptoms of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura are:
Small pin point red dots on the skin cause by broken blood vessels called petechiae
Bruises caused by slight bumps ecchymosis

The Issue Of Health Care Systems
Amongst developed and developing countries, there is one common obstacle amongst them all. That
common obstacle is innovating and implementing an efficient health care. Every country has had their
share of figuring out the most efficient way to operate a health care system. Although the issue of
health care systems are common, it is more severe in some countries than others. In developing
countries, access to care be very difficult. The biggest hurdle, for individuals in these countries, is
health care can be a minimum of 5 miles away. In developed countries, health care is typically more
accessible. Yet the hurdle of health care expenditures still exist. How do they fund healthcare? How do
they provide quality care to the mentally, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to being funded solely by the government, majority or the hospitals and clinics are owned by the
doctor (pnhp.org.) In addition, most doctors are government employees (pnhp.com.) The countries
utilizing this system typically have a low cost per capita because the sole payer, the government,
controls the benefits and payment (pnhp.org.) The Bismarck Model is different from the sole payer
because it has an all payer foundation. The Bismarck Model was developed by Chancellor Otto Von
Bismarck, the inventor of the welfare state in Germany. The system utilizes an insurance system
(pnhp.org.) Each person insured has access to sickness funds. The sickness funds are funded by
employers and their employees. These funds are deducted from the system is there is no such thing as
pre existing condition. Their system provides insurance to everybody. The policy does not make a
profit, but are strictly for health coverage. The hospitals and doctors in this model are usually private,
but the government has regulation over sickness funds to ensure cost control (pnhp.org.) The National
Insurance Model was compromised from the ideology of Bismarck and Beveridge. It incorporate both
elements of private sectors and payment from government insurance fund by its citizens (pnhp.org.) In
this model, there is still no profit from the insurance plans. A great benefit to this system is having
high buyer power. Since there is only one payer, the

Similarities Between Germany And Tanzania
In this paper, the trade structure between Germany and Tanzania, and its impacts to the development
of Tanzania has been analysed. The study identifies that Tanzania s major export commodities to
Germany include primary goods and few intermediate and manufactured goods, while it imports
significant volumes of finished manufactured goods from Germany. By this structure of trade,
Tanzania is perhaps locked to concentrate on production of natural and primary goods; this has a
better outcome in the short term, but leads to several problems in the long term which can future
hinder its speed of development. In this case, Tanzania needs to establish strategies that can assist in
improving production of manufactured goods so as to boost its benefits ... Show more content on

The use of a qualitative method and a telephone interview analysis were important tools in obtaining
the data needed to answer the research question. Some opportunities identified include increased
employment; export expansion, cultural interchange etc. Risks mentioned included corruption,
bureaucracy and variation in commodity price among others. Tanzania needs to make effective use of
the opportunities since it has a high economic growth potential that could see its position advancing
from a less developed country to an intermediate or even a highly developed country. Corruption,
among other risks, is presented to be a major problem in Tanzania. The author agrees that combating
corruption is not an easy action which can be done by the government alone, rather through support
from all citizens. Nevertheless, the current government has already started taking measures to combat
corruption in the country. This was evident when the Tanzanian president started by removing top
director generals and other government officials that were either embezzling national funds or
practicing corrupting procedures. It s the researcher s hope that if this development continues, the new
phase of Tanzania is likely to come which will result in increasing trade performance and strengthened
trade ties between Germany and

The remaining 60% of the patients are follow up patients. Of this 60%, 85% of them necessitate an X
Ray, while the remaining 15% do not. They go directly to the doctor or senior resident student. Given
this, we can calculate the average time per patient in the clinic.
Average Time = 129 x 0.4 + [0.85x119 + 0.15x(25+3+33)] x 0.6
= 129 x0.4 + 110.3x0.6 = 117.78 minutes
The total time that a patient spend in clinic (a usual patient, without specification if he/she is new or a
follow up), is 117.8 minutes.
Having the throughput and the flow time, we can calculate the inventory of patients in the clinic. You
can find the inventory for every step in the table above. Adding these numbers together, we can
calculate the number of patients that are in clinic in a given time.
Number of patients in clinic = 4 + 5 + 7.73 + 9.86 + 0.4 + 0.6 + 5 + 6.6
39.19 on average 39 patients are in clinic
The average number of client that ate in clinic in a given time is 39. This make sense because on
average the clinic is open for a half day (4 hours) and they see approximately 80 patients per half day.
If we have an average time spent in the clinic of 117 minutes and average number of patients in the
clinic at a given time of 39, then

The Honest Truth Of Dishonesty
The Honest Truth
Introduction
The importance of individual honesty and trustworthiness has long been asserted as a characteristic of
the morally noble and pure of heart. Since the early 14th century honesty has played an integral role in
establishing credibility among colleagues, strengthening lawful legal systems, and classifying actions
as morally acceptable or unacceptable. In recent years the idea of honesty has taken an abrupt halt and
shifted towards the concept of dishonesty, a constantly growing enterprise formulated on incentives
and misguided logic. This is the belief that a person s behavior is deceitful or fraudulent, and is often
misconstrued as a trait of swindlers and the morally corrupt. However, dishonesty is a natural
occurrence seen in every age, location, and culture and should be acknowledged as a defense
mechanism seen in every individual.
The Concept of Dishonesty
The notion of dishonesty derived from three basic elements: (1) personal gain; (2) the probability of
getting caught; and (3) punishment (Ariely 14). Recent studies from applied psychologists, such as
Kang Lee, state that only after considering these key points does a person wallow in the act of
deception. An example of this can be seen in Dan Ariely s Coke verses cash experiment. In this
experiment, six packs of Coca Cola were placed in a dormitory refrigerator with a plate of one dollar
bills. Within seventy two hours they found all of the cokes were gone albeit none of the money was

The Idea Of Social Entrepreneurship
On the idea of social entrepreneurship
The idea of social entrepreneurship implies diverse things to various individuals and analysts (Dees,
1998). One gathering of scientists alludes to social enterprise as not revenue driven activities looking
for option financing methodologies, or administration plans to make social worth (Austin, Stevenson,
and Wei Skiller, 2003; Boschee, 1998). A second gathering of analysts comprehends it as the socially
mindful routine of business organizations occupied with cross area associations (Sagawa and Segal,
2000; Waddock, 1988). Also, a third gathering sees social business as a way to reduce social issues
and catalyze social change (Alvord et al., 2004).
It is vital to take note of the theoretical contrasts between definitions. Meanings of social
entrepreneurship normally allude to a procedure or conduct; meanings of social entrepreneurship
people center rather on the author of the activity; and meanings of social endeavors allude to the
unmistakable result of social enterprise. In spite of the huge number of definitions, precise endeavors
to guide activities and definitions are uncommon (see Boschee (1995) and Waddock and Post (1995),
for two exemptions). While integral definitions, every concentrating on various parts of the wonder,
are not as a matter of course a hindrance in the quest for hypothesis, despite everything we don t have

How Does Social Media Have A Negative Effect On Body Image
As Theodore Roosevelt once said, Comparison is the thief of joy. Many women and men often find
themselves obsessed with comparison to others. People often look at themselves in the mirror and
think that they are not good enough, and that they are not pretty or skinny. Social media plays a huge
role in this. Celebrities photos can be so fake and edited on social media to the point where the photo
does not even look like them. Young women and girls spend so much time on social media and this is
all they see. It is no wonder that their self esteem is so low. They are looking at pictures of unrealistic
bodies for hours and hours on end. A recent poll by CNN stated that, Thirty five percent of young
women and girls, are worried about other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people always look in the mirror and think they look bad or ugly. They may do this because they
spend hours and hours on end looking at pictures that are very much fake and photoshopped. Many
people may compare themselves to other celebrities and people. Social media is the main cause of
this. There are no positives to comparing yourself with others. Comparing yourself with others will
lead to either an inferiority complex or a superiority complex. Both of which will have a negative
effect on your self improvement in the long run (Selvam). When young girls are spending the majority
of their day on social media and they are looking at these pictures they do not know any better and are
of course going to compare themselves to others. The young women might not even be looking at real
pictures of people instead photoshopped and unrealistic bodies. Us teens believe it or not, can
sometimes be like monkeys. We would much rather have something sweet than a boring vegetable.
That something sweet could be having a hot or sexy body. Rather than a have a boring and ugly body
like the boring vegetable. We really are beautiful on the inside and outside and we most definitely do
not need to edit our bodies to the ideal image for the public and the rest of the

Many of his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the release of Leaves of Grass, a new form of poetry is born. This form defies convention in presentation and subject matter. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful. The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is also beautiful (Whitman 208). Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem, Crossing Brooklyn Ferry . He combines with the river, the street and other objects. • 12. Rebuttal For Refugees Essay Rebuttal While offering help to refugees is necessary, caution should be taken on the appropriateness of the immigrants. Individuals proposing that employees should be accepted in any country fail to present reliable evidence to justify their claims. In fact, issues arise when the aspect of peace raises questions among the locals. Fundamentally, accepting immigrants from war torn areas into the U.S. is a way of fulfilling the moral obligation (Hansel 15). Besides, it saves individuals from brutal death and the disastrous outcomes of battle. Most refugees perform the difficult tasks that the well educated citizens cannot undertake since they readily accept low wages. Since the labor intensive tasks do not require sophisticated skills, school dropouts find them as the best opportunities for them to acquire a salary. However, due to the benefits offered to the refugees already working there, the Americans have no option but accept the low wages. Even though the U.S. fulfills its humanitarian responsibility by giving homage to refugees, it would be unethical to do so at the cost of the natives. The danger imposed by the acceptance of immigrants from regions which face terrorism is a critical issue subject to questions. Although the U.S. government screens its refugees, it does not warrant the innocence of the foreigners (Hansel 18). • 14. The Wanderings Of Odysseus And The Odyssey And The Odyssey In Edith Hamilton s book, Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes and in The Wanderings of Odysseus from The Odyssey the epic poem by Homer and translated by Robert Fitzgerald, Jason and Odysseus display the following similar traits throughout their adventures: selfishness, dishonesty, and delegate. Throughout Jason and Odysseus adventures, they both showed a great amount of selfishness. Selfishness is the act of being selfish, lacking consideration for others. On Jason s quest to finding the Golden Fleece, the author mentions, ...he thought of ambition only, never of love or of gratitude (Hamilton 133). During the long quest for the Golden Fleece, Jason was only focused on being successful, not much different from Odysseus. While on Odysseus voyage there had been fierce cannibals who bombarded the fleet of ships with boulders. Selfishness played apart of this misdemeanor because Odysseus didn t seem to care to help out the rest of his crew, Only Odysseus, his ship, and its crew of 45 survive the shower of boulders. The lone ship then sails to Aeaea, home of the goddess Circe, who is considered by many to be a witch (Fitzgerald 1224). Both scenarios from Hamilton s book and Fitzgerald s book are very similar. The main characters both seem like they only care about themselves being successful and they don t fully put thought into their mentor s health. Mentors are the people who have intentions to helping out. The mentor in The Mythology would be Medea and in The Odyssey, it would have been his crew, who did not survive on the other ships. They may have not been aware that they were being selfish because they were busy having their mind set on having to stay alive and complete the duty. In effect of having their minds only set on getting the job done, all three of these characteristics have played a part of it. A great amount of dishonesty had played a part on the way of Jason and Odysseus adventures. In Edith Hamilton s book, Jason showed dishonesty by taking all the glory when many people helped along the way, All that she did evil and of good was done for him alone, and in the end, all the reward she got was that he turned traitor to her (Hamilton 133). B St. Thomas Aquinas Saint Thomas Aquinas was a philosopher, theologian, Doctor of the Catholic Church, and is the patron saint of Catholic Universities, colleges, and schools. He was born in Rocca Secca, Italy, in 1225 and was born into a wealthy family. He even was related to the kings of Aragon, Castile, and France. His journey into Catholic beliefs seemed predestined, for he was told when he was a young child that he would become a friar and no one would be equal to him. The third manner of Aquinas support of God was that there are two types of beings, contingent beings (humans) and a necessary being (God). Saint Thomas believed that this necessary being (God), was necessary for the contingent beings (humans), to exist and without God, we humans would not exist. The easiest way to explain this very confusing subject would be as follows: 1) Contingent beings are caused. 2) Not every being can be contingent. 3) There must exist a being that is necessary to cause contingent beings. 4) This necessary being is God. Saint Thomas Aquinas fourth argument of the presence of God came from his observations of the quality of objects. For example one may say that of two paintings one is more beautiful than the other. So for these two objects, one has a greater degree of beauty than the next. This is referred to as degrees or graduation of a quality. From this fact Aquinas concluded that for any given quality (e.g. goodness, beauty, knowledge) there must be a perfect standard by which all such qualities are measured. These perfections are contained and reflected in God. God is the ultimate and everything is insufficient compared to His greatness. The final way that Saint Thomas Aquinas speaks of God s existence has to do with the observable universe and the order of nature. From their studies, they were able to see that companies should look more at the morale and self esteem of their workforce. Once this information was revealed, the use of rewards as the main motivator was pushed to the side. The general model of performance appraisal, as it is known today, began from that time (Archer North). In today s business world, performance appraisals are still widely used, yet at the same time very criticized. One of the reasons appraisals are criticized is some feel that they are a waste of time and are not value added. April 28, 2015 Alexander Pushkin and Robert Frost both have written poems about autumn. There is a correlation between these two poems since they share many romantic features. Autumn and After Apple Picking are both alike and different in many ways. Alexander Pushkin was born in Moscow, Russia and lived from 1799 until 1837. He wrote from a very young age, not only writing poetry, but also dramas and novels. He died in a duel when he was 39 years old. Autumn is a poem that contains many of the elements of romanticism. The first quality is feelings. This whole poem oozes the feelings of Pushkin. The first line is October comes at last. The feeling of relief is obvious, and there is a sense of an event finally coming. It is as if his patience was being tested and wearing thin. He could hardly wait for autumn. In the second stanza he writes, This is my time! What is the spring to me? Spring makes me ill: my mind is never free from dizzy dreams, my blood s in constant ferment. He clearly does not like the spring season at all. It is boring and there is a tone of disgust. He compares the fun and excitement of winter. There is definitely a large range between the way he feels about what spring brings and what winter brings. Winter is almost bearable to Pushkin. Winter is fun. • 29. The Honest Truth Of Dishonesty The Honest Truth Introduction The importance of individual honesty and trustworthiness has long been asserted as a characteristic of the morally noble and pure of heart. Since the early 14th century honesty has played an integral role in establishing credibility among colleagues, strengthening lawful legal systems, and classifying actions as morally acceptable or unacceptable. In recent years the idea of honesty has taken an abrupt halt and shifted towards the concept of dishonesty, a constantly growing enterprise formulated on incentives and misguided logic. This is the belief that a person s behavior is deceitful or fraudulent, and is often misconstrued as a trait of swindlers and the morally corrupt. However, dishonesty is a natural occurrence seen in every age, location, and culture and should be acknowledged as a defense mechanism seen in every individual. The Concept of Dishonesty The notion of dishonesty derived from three basic elements: (1) personal gain; (2) the probability of getting caught; and (3) punishment (Ariely 14). Recent studies from applied psychologists, such as Kang Lee, state that only after considering these key points does a person wallow in the act of deception. The complete friction ridge identification process involves using the identification philosophy and scientific methodology in determining whether or not an unknown friction ridge impression (herein, called latent) came from the same source as a known inked print (herein called print)to the exclusion of all others. (1) David Ashbaugh refers to this identification process as, a guide of how friction ridge quantative qualititive analysis is transformed into an opinion of individuality. It describes the friction ridge formations used during analysis while establishing parameters as to how much knowledge one must have to perform such a task. Analysis, ... These include: *Double taps *Similar shaped ridge path formations *Matrix smears *Colur reversals *Inconsistancies in ridge width *Light or dark areas *Sudden directional change in ridge flow. *Does the lift appear consistant with the surface from which it was lifted? • 31. The Idea Of Social Entrepreneurship On the idea of social entrepreneurship The idea of social entrepreneurship implies diverse things to various individuals and analysts (Dees, 1998). One gathering of scientists alludes to social enterprise as not revenue driven activities looking for option financing methodologies, or administration plans to make social worth (Austin, Stevenson, and Wei Skiller, 2003; Boschee, 1998). A second gathering of analysts comprehends it as the socially mindful routine of business organizations occupied with cross area associations (Sagawa and Segal, 2000; Waddock, 1988). Also, a third gathering sees social business as a way to reduce social issues and catalyze social change (Alvord et al., 2004). It is vital to take note of the theoretical contrasts between definitions. Meanings of social entrepreneurship normally allude to a procedure or conduct; meanings of social entrepreneurship people center rather on the author of the activity; and meanings of social endeavors allude to the unmistakable result of social enterprise. In spite of the huge number of definitions, precise endeavors to guide activities and definitions are uncommon (see Boschee (1995) and Waddock and Post (1995), for two exemptions). While integral definitions, every concentrating on various parts of the wonder, are not as a matter of course a hindrance in the quest for hypothesis, despite everything we don t have a complete photo of the marvel and do not have an unmistakable comprehension of how social business ... Analyzing The Field Of Big Data Literature review: To address the question of how and what techniques has been used to manages this big amount of data or in the field of Big Data, I review some research papers and review articles in the field of Big Data. This paper provides the synthesis of those papers which I found relevant to this field. This paper will focus on the following things: What are the technologies being used in Big data? Which technology is suitable for which type of data? Current trends in Big Data field. Fig: Big Data Sources 4.1 Survey Paper: A survey on data stream clustering and classification Authors: Hai Long Nguyen , Yew KwongWoon , Wee KeongNg Published online: 17 December 2014 Purpose: This paper presents a inclusive survey of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, to randomly access these datasets, which is commonly assumed in traditional data mining, is really expensive. Findings and Learning s: 1) There are some useful, open source software for data stream mining research:. WEKA: WEKA is the most popular data mining software for the academic environment. WEKA contains the collection of learning algorithms such as data preprocessing, association rules , classification, regression, clustering, and information visualization. Massive Online Analysis (MOA): This is based on the WEKA framework that is build and designed for data stream learning. RapidMiner: RapidMiner is another importantopen source software for data mining. 2) Some important clustering algorithms discussed in this paper to group massive data and can be useful to industries and organization: Partitioning methods: This algorithm groups dataset into q clusters, where q is a predefined parameter. It continuously reassigns objects from one group to another group so as to r to minimize its objective function. Hierarchical methods: In the hierarchical method the aim is to group data objects into a hierarchical tree of clusters. Hierarchical clustering methods can be further classified as either agglomerative or divisive, where the hierarchical decomposition is formed in a bottom up(merging) or top down(splitting) fashion respectively. Density based methods: Under this method we build up the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. How Does Social Media Have A Negative Effect On Body Image As Theodore Roosevelt once said, Comparison is the thief of joy. Many women and men often find themselves obsessed with comparison to others. People often look at themselves in the mirror and think that they are not good enough, and that they are not pretty or skinny. Social media plays a huge role in this. Celebrities photos can be so fake and edited on social media to the point where the photo does not even look like them. Young women and girls spend so much time on social media and this is all they see. It is no wonder that their self esteem is so low. They are looking at pictures of unrealistic bodies for hours and hours on end. A recent poll by CNN stated that, Thirty five percent of young women and girls, are worried about other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some people always look in the mirror and think they look bad or ugly. They may do this because they spend hours and hours on end looking at pictures that are very much fake and photoshopped. Many people may compare themselves to other celebrities and people. Social media is the main cause of this. There are no positives to comparing yourself with others. Comparing yourself with others will lead to either an inferiority complex or a superiority complex. Both of which will have a negative effect on your self improvement in the long run (Selvam). When young girls are spending the majority of their day on social media and they are looking at these pictures they do not know any better and are of course going to compare themselves to others. The young women might not even be looking at real pictures of people instead photoshopped and unrealistic bodies. Us teens believe it or not, can sometimes be like monkeys. We would much rather have something sweet than a boring vegetable. That something sweet could be having a hot or sexy body. Rather than a have a boring and ugly body like the boring vegetable. We really are beautiful on the inside and outside and we most definitely do not need to edit our bodies to the ideal image for the public and the rest of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
