CLASSROOM

The main purpose of this Intellectual Output
is to flip English Classroom to develop the
English language skills (listening, speaking,
reading, writing) of students who have a
second language influence and those who
wish to increase their career prospects in the
future. Our mission is to create a digital
learning environment that will help the
teachers who wants to flip their English
Classroom. And, we hope to increase English
Language skills of our students via using
Flipped Learning. We will take as a base of
Turkey’s English curriculum while we are
creating videos.
The flipped classroom describes a reversal of
traditional teaching where students gain first
exposure to new material outside of class, usually
via reading or lecture videos, and then class time is
used to do the harder work of assimilating that
knowledge through strategies such as problem-
solving, discussion or debates.
 Technology can support flipped classrooms
throught he following affordances:
* Capture content for students to access at their
own convenience and to suit their pace of learning
(e.g. lecture material, readings, interactive
multimedia),
* Present learning maerials in a variety of formats to
suit different learner styles and multimodal learning
(e.g. text, videos, audio, multimedia),
* Provide opportunities for discourse and interaction
in and out of class.
* Provide immediate and anonymous feedback for
teachers and students (e.g. quizzes, polls) to signal
revision points,
* Capture data about students to analyse their
progress.
OUR MISSION
We are trying to use an innovative and student-
centred pedagogical education model - Flipped
Learning - during the implementation period of the
project to increase the quality of teaching and
learning in our schools via this project. Beside this,
we believe that this project not only has improved
our students' success but also has provided great
experience for them.
In a Flipped Learning setting, teachers make
lessons available to students to be accessed
whenever and wherever it is convenient for the
student at home, during study hall, or even on the
bus. Teachers can deliver this instruction by
recording and narrating screencasts of work they
do on their computers, creating videos of
themselves teaching. Students can watch the
videos or screencasts as many times as they need
to, enabling them to be more productive learners
in the classroom.
