Mobile Originated Call Process in Simple WordsAssim Mubder
Call Setup
Different procedures are necessary depending on the initiating and terminating party:
Mobile Originating Call MOC: Call setup, which are initiated by an MS
Mobile Terminating Call MTC: Call setup, where an MS is the called party
Mobile Mobile Call MMC: Call: setup between two mobile subscribers; MMC thus consists of the execution of a MOC and a MTC one after the other.
Mobile Internal Call MIC: a special case of MMC; both MSs are in the same MSC area, possibly even in the same cell.
This ppt covers the following topics:
Structural evolution of cellular communications;
Frequency reuse;
Duplex techniques;
Multiple-access/broadcasting techniques;
Handover (handoff);
Multi-cell cooperation/processing;
Resource allocation;
Cognitive radios;
MIMO and massive MIMO;
Distributed antenna wireless communications;
Cellular social networks.
Introduction
Basically, Handover means the giving of control
of or responsibility for to someone else.
Similarly, The process of changing point of
communication while communicating is known
as handover in cellular network.

Cellular mobile phone service is the wireless telecommunication service that is operated via mobile phone or cellular phone (an electronic telecommunication device).
Cellular mobile services in Pakistan commenced in 90’s when two cellular mobile telephone licenses were awarded to Paktel and PakCom (Instaphone) for provision of cellular mobile telephony in Pakistan.
With the passage of time telecom sector in Pakistan has grown rapidly and currently there are 5 mobile phone operators;
Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor, Zong and Warid telecom.

Global wireless network operator and mobile satisfaction / customer loyalty s...Vishal Kumar
This is the complete 26 page research paper from a global Network Operator Customer Loyalty study. The survey was fielded in Spring 2010, asking a sample of 5,000 people from 111 countries about their user experience with respect to their current network operator, mobile phones and mobile applications. Mob4Hire as well as Business Over Broadway (ne: TCELab) co-sponsored the survey results.

The mobile maze EY has conducted a major global online customer research study covering 6,000 consumers in 12 countries worldwide. The research, carried out in May and June 2012, was designed to highlight short-and medium- term issues facing mobile operators involved in the mobile services/applications value chain. As part of our primary research, we asked consumers to detail their usage of specific mobile value-added services, exploring take-up drivers and inhibitors, along with their attitudes toward their mobile service providers in key aspects such as communications quality and payment preferences. In both developed and emerging markets across the world, consumers’ rapid adoption of internet-enabled smartphones and tablets has been one of the most significant social, business and technology trends of recent years. As this growth continues, and as device experiences evolve and use cases expand, the market for mobile services and applications is becoming increasingly complex for operators and their customers.
2. Introduction
Mobile number portability (MNP) enables mobile
telephone users to retain their mobile telephone numbers
when changing from one mobile network operator to
another.
MNP was made available to the Indian market on Jan 20,
2011.
A fee of Rs.19 is charged for switching operators, but
operators often waive this fee as an introductory offer.
Consumers need to stay with the new operator for a
minimum of 90 days before being able to shift operators
again.
3. PURPOSE OF STUDY
The survey comprised of both the data type, i.e.
Qualitative and Quantitative
The fundamental purpose of study is to ascertain the
importance of descriptive and inferential statistics.
These data are represented here in form of tabular
presentations, pie charts, histograms and were
analyzed using the concept of mean, median and
mode.
4. REASON FOR CHOICE OF TOPIC
MNP is implemented nationally this quarter in India.
There is a restructural phase in the telecom sector.
5. Objectives
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES - To investigate the effect of
mobile portability on mobile phones users within
telecom circle.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES-
1)Ensure to increase in the level of open competition
among mobile network portability
2)To find out the impact of Mobile Number
Portability(MNP) on service providers.
7. Data Collection Technique
The data is collected through questionnaire that is,
quantitative technique(survey).
The questionnaire is collection of closed and open
questions.
Survey method is used for collecting data from 107
respondents though Structured non-disguised
questionnaires. Data are nominal and ordinal scaled.
Collected data are analyzed with the help of Bar charts,
histogram and frequencies.
9. Population Data
Population: Cellular Users
Population Size: 214
Sample: Users who opted for MNP
Sample Size: 44
10. Limitation Of Research
All the limitations of non-probability sampling are
applicable in this research.
At the time of research respondent are not ready to
give answer.
Many respondent give unbiased and dishonest answer.
