The system is like a third arm of the surgeon. It is operated by foot pedals which got rid of frequent
problems due to hand tremors. In December 1993, the Aesop 1000 system was approved by the FDA.
It became the first surgical visual aid robotic device certified by the FDA. The foot pedals, although
easy to control for well trained surgeons, were a problem for new users as they had to look down on
the pedals before they could adjust them. Aesop 2000 released in 1996 used voice control, the Aesop
3000 released in 1998 added another degree of freedom in the arm, and the Aesop HR version was
networked with other smart devices. In few years time thousands of surgical procedures were
performed using Aesop s robotic technology. The Zeus Robotic Surgical System with three robotic
arms attached on the side of the operation table was extension of Aesop s arms to control surgical
instruments. Fig. 1 Zeus Robotic Surgical System The first prototype was demonstrated in 1995,

Service Quality Of English Islamic Banks
Abdullrahim (2010) in her dissertation titled Service Quality of English Islamic Banks used a
qualitative focus groups research methodology as a primary data collection, which is closely related to
the methodology I will propose to use in my study. Abdullrahim (2010) used a mixed methodology of
qualitative (focus group) and quantitative (questionnaire) to conduct the study. A modified service
quality model (SERVQUAL) was used to measure the quality of service in Islamic banks in the United
Kingdom (UK). The quality service model can be described as a degree and direction of the difference
between customer perception and customer expectation. The researcher stated that Islamic banking in
the UK, Britain has the most active and developed Islamic banking sector in the European Union and
is leading the way for Islamic banking in the west (Abdullrahim, 2010, p. 1). The researcher focused
on Muslims in the UK and what are their perceptions and evaluation of service of the quality of
Islamic banks in the UK. The researcher studied Islamic banks in England because there are millions
of Muslims who lived in the UK and banks started to offer Sharia products (Abdullrahim, 2010;
Hanlon, 2004).
Abdullrahim conducted the focus group in two stages. First, Eight focus group discussions were
conducted with 36 Muslims (Abdullrahim, 2010, p. 11). Second, a pilot study, questionnaires were
distributed by hand to Muslims in 10 cities (Abdullrahim, 2010, p. 11). Abdullrahim asked open

The Pros And Cons Of The Native Hawaiian Reorganization Act
The Akaka Bill Shouldn t be Implemented From the arrival of the first western civilizations,
Hawaiians have been oppressed. From the Great Mahele to the Overthrow, the native Hawaiians have
experienced nothing but suppression in their own lands. Following the events of 1892 (the overthrow
of the Hawaiian monarchy) Hawaiians have struggled to rebuild as a nation. Sovereignty groups have
formulated over the years and have since fought to give a voice back to the Hawaiian Kingdom. Big
name organizations such as Ka Lāhui, Nation of Hawaii, OHA, and even Kamehameha Schools were
established in order to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and keep Hawaii in the fight for their own self
determination. Recently the U.S. government has formally apologized for their actions within the
Hawaiian Kingdom and has vowed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The U.S. government has proposed many different methods to which the Hawaiian Kingdom could
reform and has recently proposed the Native Hawaiian Reorganization Act more commonly known as
the Akaka Bill. This bill however a stride it may be to the reformation of a Hawaiian Kingdom, is
flawed and shouldn t be accepted by the Native Hawaiian people. Although this may represent a great
milestone in Hawaiian history it may be the cause of more harm than resolution.
Literature Review
If such a bill were to be enacted there could be many repercussions take for example the effect it
might have on GDP. If the Akaka bill were to fall into place the health of the macro economy for
Hawaii could be at risk. The GDP of Hawaii might take a downward spiral as it has now shifted from
an agricultural economy to a more technologically based economy. Before the 20th century Hawaii

Essay on Propoganda, Advocacy and Yellow Journalism
The Martians are coming. American jobs taken by Illegal Immigrants. USDA needs to enforce stricter
regulations on cattle feed. Each headline could be found in today s news.
When putting together a story, the interpretation of facts depends on how the facts are presented or the
assumptions made by the journalist. It would be inaccurate to suggest or imply that the press and the
media are always responsible and truthful. After all, stories with sensational headlines or titles that
greatly stir our emotions tend to get the most notice. We must learn to recognize the methods by which
news is camouflaged so we can discern fact from fiction

Industrialization had revolutionized the newspaper industry allowing machines to print thousands of
papers in a night, providing publishers with the ability to provide more newspapers (Campbell 2001).
Hearst and Pulitzer found attention grabbing, sensational headlines sold more papers. This began the
brand of reporting known as yellow journalism. These publishers were credited with starting the
Spanish American War due to their exaggeration and inflammatory headlines (Campbell 2001).
Although, yellow journalism became the term for this practice of sensationalism and sometimes
outright lies, yellow journalism was derived from a cartoon strip called the Yellow Kid (see picture 1).
First published in Pulitzer s New York World it then moved to Hearst s New York Journal. Critic s
coined the phrase yellow journalism to describe the special non smear yellow ink and the significance
of the comic strip (Yellow Journalism 2005)
Yellow journalism was characterized not only by its exaggeration but its layout. Multi column
headlines, page one banners, Front page treatment of stories, illustrations, photographs, maps, the
tendency to rely on anonymous sources and the eager indulgence of self promotion were other
qualities inherent to yellow journalism (Campbell 2001).

Football Concussion Essay
Throughout time, football has been known for its insane amount of damage it causes to its players. It
has ranged from a little scrape on your arm to almost lying on your deathbed after having a concussion
that you thought was just a headache. Although football is seen as a great sport to watch, no one
actually knows the truth behind the actual game. Many have tried to make the sport involve more safe
strategies, but it is just one of those sports that has gained their reputation from being involved with
pushing, hurting, and sometimes even fighting . I would not allow my son to play football, because it
has ways of leaving multiple health issues throughout your lifetime. It may also be one of the roads to
cause traumatic injuries and it gives a more likely chance of death. In this sport, there are multiple
data tables that include the amount of concussions that have happened throughout the years of the
game. One reason why I would not allow my son to play football is because it leaves the chance of

I Attended The Christmas With The Mormon Tabernacle Choir
I attended the Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle choir, Orchestra at Temple Square and Bells on
Temple Square. The event was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints conference
center building. The building holds approximately 21,000 people. This particular musical performance
was for Christmas time. Every year they feature a special guest. Usually it is an famous American
singer or story teller, but this year it was more of a cultural experience. This year their guest was
Ronaldo Villazon. Mr. Villazon was born in Mexico city, and is know for one of the most unique and
compelling tenor voices today. He brought a very different flare to this performance. This show is
presented in December around Christmas time. All of the songs sung, and reading that were read had
to do with the Christmas season and Christ. Many familiar songs were sung and played by the
orchestra such as I Saw Three Ships, Carol of the Drum, Miniature Overture from the Nutcracker, We
Three Kings, Holidays at Home and more. Rolando Villzon sung song from his culture. He sang
Cancion para la Navidad, Il eat ne, le diving Enfant, O souverain, O juge, O pere, from Le Cid, and
more. He is a christen but is not a Mormon. It was neat to see the two different, but very similar
cultures unite and mesh so well together. There was a huge choir made up of men and women that
sung along with him. A part from the singers there were many talented musicians. There were drums,

Symbolism In America
America, much comes to mind when this word is heard. Usually people think of things like hotdogs,
baseball games, even the red white and blue. While these objects represent American culture greatly, I
feel as if Donald Trump, fireworks, and Wal Mart do a much better job. People may argue with me,
but these three items symbolize the core of America. The Republican presidential nominee Donald
Trump represents the average American citizen. Many speculate just how Trump got this far in the
2016 election, but it doesn t surprise me. He is like any other older white man, a loud, egotistical,
bigot, who is very opinionated. The closed mindedness of Trump represents just how most of
Americans are stuck in their ways, and only looking out for themselves. Hopefully, good ol bigotry
and misogyny can make America great again. Fireworks have been shot off on the fourth of July for
ages in America Not only are they a tradition, but a symbol of America as well. Fireworks are
unnecessary, flashy, and big, like America. The U.S. Government spends billions of dollars in
American tax payers money on frivolous things. For example, keeping up old and unused buildings.

Summary Of Made In America By Kilibrand
Kirsten Gillibrand presents herself as a person who wants to get her point across and someone that is
serious about their job. She always has a goal and tries to work toward that goal to achieve and make
things better for the community. Kirsten does a lot of campaign ads to get her point across and to
ensure the people that she is trying her best to help them. Her campaign ads are usually videos she
uses so help get a point across. One of the campaign ads I saw was a video called Made in America .
In this video, Kirsten talked about where she was from and how she knows what the people is going
through so it is her job to help fix the situation. In the video, she showed her family and expressed that
upstate New York is where they call home so she sympathizes with the people on the point. Also, she
starts to talk about the economic priorities taxes so she tried to fix things by making giving a property
tax relief, she wrote an upstate job bill, and she voted to end tax breaks. These are all the things the
people were looking for as a start to fix the economy in upstate New York. ... Show more content on

that paragraph you should be able to see that she listed her number one priority is rebuilding the
economy. This was a good comparison because unlike many legislatures you usually see their ads and

The Cultural Similarities Differences Between the Inca...
Though the Inca and Mayan empires existed at different times in history, they have a few things in
common. Like other societies throughout history though, they have many things that set them apart
from each other. The biggest similarity they share is that they both had control of massive empires that
eventually ceased to exist. To start off with, the Mayans existed earlier in history than the Incas. The
Mayans existed from 1000 BC to AD 1697 and no one is quite certain what wiped out their ancient
civilization. Mayans are still around today but not as many as there once was. The Incas existed from
AD 1438 to around 1534 and were wiped out by a combination of smallpox and being conquered by
the Spanish. Although the Mayans existed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both the Incas and the Mayans had spoken languages. In fact, the Mayans had several spoken
languages. Along the language lines, the Mayans also were very good with art. Left behind in their
cities were hieroglyphics and art depicting their everyday life. They even had a written language as
well. The Incas, however, only had a spoke language and no written language. I believe this also goes
to show the intellectual capacity of the Mayans versus that of the Incas. While the Incas were
intelligent, they were no competition for that of the Mayans. When many people think of the Incas and
Mayans, they think of brutality. This is a common misconception though. Although the Mayans were
brutal, the Incas were not. They preferred to settle disputes amicably and peacefully. Even though they
were peaceful, they still would become viscous fighters when pressed. The Mayans were, by far, much
more keen to brutality than the Incas. So, as stated before in this essay, the Incas and Mayans had
quite a few things in common but they were much more different than similar. Although both
civilizations failed, at one point they flourished greatly. They were intelligent and paved the way for
things liken mathematics, architecture,

The Roman Calendar System During The Roman Republic
Since ancient times, calendars have been a vital part of civilization. Calendars divided time over
extended periods and arranged them in order, making them convenient for regulating daily life,
religious holidays, and for historical and scientific purposes (Calendar). Throughout history, humans
have used signs offered by nature, such as the phases of the Moon or the movement of the Sun, as the
basis for various calendar systems (Calendar). However, when people aimed to improve previous
calendars, they were driven to do so not only by the desire to be astronomically accurate but also by
the politics of the time. Politics affected both the motivation for calendar reform and the
implementation of these new systems.
Authority figures were primarily ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the Roman Republic, a group of priests called pontifices held the responsibility of shortening
February and inserting a new month into the year (Wigelsworth). However, these authorities were not
always effective; in times of war, when the group of priests did not meet regularly, the calendar fell
out of line (Aldrete). Roman priests ultimately did not care about the accuracy of the calendar and
were motivated by their own political interests; sometimes, they even altered the calendar to reduce or
extend the terms of certain public officials (Roman Republican Calendar). Though the objective was
at first to have a calendar accurate to natural events, the people who implemented reform had ulterior
motives, hindering the effectiveness of the proposals they were responsible for. Though it was vital for
the Roman government to serve the gods by celebrating religious festivals at the right time, the
government clearly did not always do its duty (Emmons).

Indeed, cosmetic edits to the calendar honored the power of authorities. In 44 BCE in
Rome, the month Quinctilis was renamed Iulius for Julius Caesar, and the month Sextilis

The idea of spiritual formation has somehow gotten lost in the shuffle of going to church versus
retaining the understanding that we in fact are the church and we carry within us the knowledge and
the skill to be transformational. The role of evangelism in Christian education is to aid in church
growth and expansion, as well as advancement toward the salvation of souls. Diane J. Hymans
suggests that evangelism and education suggests a variety of meanings and that it is a matter of
language that is clouding what the connotation of the definitions of evangelism, discipleship, and
education are (Hymans). She states that evangelism is making the gospel known in church and world ,
while education invites people to understand and claim their identity as baptized children of God and
to clarify their vocation as people called by God to live lives characterized by love of God and
neighbor (Hymans). Christian education is an intentional process in developing relationship with God
for the purpose of fulfilling the mandate to go and make disciples of all nations, to preach and teach
the good news of the gospel of Christ, and to build the Kingdom of God. In developing and
incorporating evangelism and discipleship into a current Christian education program I believe that
involvement of the entire membership of the congregation should be employed (all age

My First Time Driving Out Of The City Of Denver
As I slept I hear my alarm going off and I excitedly jump out of bed. It is only 4:00 am and the sky is
still dark. It is August 20, 2015 and I am double checking everything. This is my first time driving out
of the city of Dallas by myself. I am on my way to a new journey, I am moving to Houston. I had only
been to Houston twice and both times I was there only for a day so I never got to see the city. That was
about to change because now I will be living there. I did one big sweep of my house to make sure I
had everything I would need for my drive. Only thing I could think about was This is it Brianna, you
will be in Houston in a few hours .
I typed in my destination in my GPS and I pulled out my mother s drive way. As I started driving
thoughts enter my mind as this is a very big deal. I could not stop smiling. Not only was this my first
big drive, it was my first big move on my own. I was moving to Houston for graduate, where I would
be staying in my first apartment. I could not believe it was happening, it seem as if I have waited
forever for this moment.
As I was driving down the highway in the dark not knowing really where I was going, I was still at
peace because I knew this was something wonderful. I could not even think about the fact that I had
only got three hours of sleep the night before. Normally I would have been tired and drained but today
I was full of life and energy. The excitement had taking over me. Driving down the highway with the

The Methods Of The American Revolution
The Methods Leading to the American Revolution The colonist s rebellious reaction to the British
King and Parliaments actions led to their American Revolution. Did the colonists rebel in a justice
form or was Great Britain taking advantage of them? Did the methods they used like the Boston Tea
Party and Boston Massacre proper? Was Great Britain right not to include colonists to represent in
Parliament? Was it right for Great Britain to tax the colonists or were the colonists right to revolt? The
leading events toward the American Revolution started when the colonist objected paying taxes to
Great Britain. They felt it violated their rights as British people because the acts were passed in
England without a colonial representative. Not only did the British taxation cause their revolution, but
it was also a unifying force in the colonies. After gaining France s North American territory in the
Seven Years war, Britain faced huge debt and the responsibility of a massive land. The purpose for this
land was to gather the resources and make extra profit to benefit England. Before Great Britain started
enforcing taxes and acts, the colonists lived a life of prosperity and governed themselves. Great
Britain showed salutary neglect towards them, and due to this, the colonists were not willing to be tied
down with their governing. They argued The French and Indian War wasn t their responsibility and the
British shouldn t tax them without representation, while the British

Freedom is defined as the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or

human rights that all people are entitled to. These are called the Four Freedoms. It is shown in stories,
history, and even current events that not all people have these four freedoms. In order for a person to

first of the Four Freedoms is the freedom of speech. In The Censors , by Luisa Valenzuela, the

My Experience As A Male Dominant Culture
Enculturation is when people learn about their own culture either passively or directly. We are
constantly learning about our culture even when we do not realize it. We learn about our culture
through different medias, such as our parents, relatives, and peers. My earliest enculturation
experience is when I was in kindergarten. I learned about culturally accepted behaviors for both
genders and experienced double standard between male and female. My family and my peers were the
most influential in this enculturation experience as they were the people I associated with during my
early childhood. My early childhood experience of double standard has shaped my values and how I
perceive my culture. Double standard varies culture by culture, in this paper, I will be explaining my
double standard enculturation experience in my Chinese culture.
In the Chinese culture, we are known to be a male dominant culture. Many traditional Chinese family
values the males in the family more than the females because males are usually the head of the family.
Males are given more freedom when they are growing up. Female children are often restricted to do
many activities because of society expectation for females role and behavior. For instance, males tend
to participate in masculine activities like Tae Kwon Do and football while females would participate
in feminine activities such as sewing and dancing. Not only there were gender appropriate activities,
but there were gender appropriate toys. In

Good Faith in Australia Law Essay
Introduction
Since the early 1990s, Australian judicial system has experienced a great flux revolving around the
notion of good faith in the performance the enforcement of contracts. The leading case Renard
Construction (ME) Pty Ltd v Minister for Public Works (Renard) along with Preistly JA s judgment
commenced the controversial introduction of universal obligation of good faith in all contracts. Such
introduction was also confronted by the opposing force of the more conservative judgments, such as
those of Meagher JA in Renard and Gummow J in Service Station Association v Berg Bennett

Why is kindness or altruism important for society?
Altruism may be defined as a basic selfless attitude that may attribute to those providing initial
intervention (Ronel, 2006).
For a society or community to thrive, prosper and grow minimum expectations must exist for the
individuals of that community to be happy. Rules and laws are in place to govern the ways in which
we should act socially, ethically and morally. Among such principles is an expectation to be fair and

Maya Angelou s Influence
Maya Angelou is terrific performer, singer, filmmaker, and civil rights activist. She is a phenomenal

Psycho Movie Analysis
The movie that I chose to do my movie review over is Psycho. In this movie a young woman, Marion,
is having a sexual relationship with this man that she does not know is married to another woman.
Marion works for a company doing the financial needs, and one day she is given a suitcase that is she
is suppose to take to the bank for her boss. She ends up stealing the money, leaving town and booking
her way to see her lover. A few incidences happen to her while she makes her way to her man, but it is
when she gets to the Bates Motel that things start to get psychology weird. When she reaches the hotel
there is a man there by the name of Norman Bates. Norman is not normal at all, he is struggling from a
multiperson disorder and inability to know wrong and right. He tells the Marion that his mother is
alive and living in the house but really she is dead, he had killed her previously. He goes into details to
Marion about his relationship with his dead mother. Marion, is very intrigued and happy to hear what
Norman has to say about his and his mother relationship, but tells Norman she needs to get herself
ready for the man she had come to see. As Marion organizes herself and makes her way to the shower,
Norman is in the hotel office, through a hole in the wall behind a hanging picture, watching her get
undressed. He watches for a solid five minutes before the scene changes to him running at the shower
curtain swinging a knife and killing Marion. During this part of the movie, you

Life Changing Events Happened From New York City
Life changing events happened in New York City. On September 11th, 2001 was without a doubt, one
of the most terrorizing experiences in the history of our Nation. You heard screams of agony from
people who were trying to seek safety for their loved ones. Pillars of smoke filled the sky as innocent
people cried out with agony and hurt of the injured and of people who didn t understand what was
going on. The streets were filled with clouds of dust and debris. The news reporters told of the
gripping story of how terror had struck the very hearts of the American people. Our President, George
W. Bush gave clear and concise demands to the events within a few days following the horrible
attacks on the Twin Towers. The demands that later led to new ACT s being passed by Congress,
would have a drastic change to what we call Civil Liberties. By definition Civil Liberties is the state of

Motorola and Smartphones Essay
Motorola has finally made its way back into the market and this time with a bang. After the successful
launch of there budget smartphone Moto G in devloping markets, Motorola recently came up with
Moto X.
And that raised many eyebrows in blogosphere.
Does the Moto X have that in it to play the role of star performer?, a market which is powerfully ruled
by Samsung and now Sony. Lets find out!
OVERVIEW
The Moto X is indeed the best bet Motorola can ever make. With its massive evolution on design
strategies and understanding the importance of the form factor, Motorola proved that they are ready to
give the people what they really want. The Moto X is built on a stock android (Google experience), a

X has only single sim slot also another thing to make a note of is it does not have a removable back
panel also no micro SD expandability.
.
DISPLAY, MULTIMEDIAAND PERFORMANCE
Well at the end of the day Performance is what matters .
The Moto X comes with a 4.7 inch AMOLED display, which has a great outdoor visibility and takes
brightness to all new level. The display has excellent viewing angles and a contrast output. But as it is
Amoled display we do get that bluish tint.
The X can handle whatever type of media you throw at it, even after considering that it ranks low spec
sheet. You can playback full HD 1080p videos without even a single lag or stutter. The speakerphone
is not best in class but still it is fairly loud, and you won t require additional speakers. The 3.5 mm
jack has refined output.
The Moto X is designed to breathe Android, and device dies exactly that. No doubt when it comes to
hardware Moto X is unfortunately limited to only a dual core processor, an average user won t feel the
need of this. However if you are super user and stay glued to your smartphone 24*7 then Moto X is
not a handset you may be looking for.

Reaction Paper On Deviant
I was raised by my grandparents who had many rules and taught me that it would be disrespectful not

spent my life following social norms to the best of my ability, even ones that seems absurd to me. The
object of this assignment frightened the heck out of me and I truly wasn t sure if I was going to be able
to complete it. The unspoken rule that I chose to break was the infamous standing in a line waiting
your turn rule, I chose to cut into the line without saying anything at all. The first time I decided to do
my deviant act was while standing in line at the Tim Hortons at St. Paul s Hospital, which was
especially hard for me because I ve been going there for the past four years to visit my mother. There
was about 12 people standing in the line when I walked up to it and remembered that I needed to do
my deviant act and that now was as good a time as any. I felt very nervous about what I was planning
to do and honestly a little afraid because the area isn t exactly the greatest area s in the city. I stood at
the back of the line for about 2 minutes trying to mentally prepare for what I was going to do. I finally
built up the courage to walk ahead and cut into the line, leaving only one person ahead of me. No one
said a single word to me, but I did notice one of the workers looking towards the line and laughing. I

The Importance Of Employee Empowerment In Human Resource...
Employee empowerment has been a major topic that is discussed thoroughly by human resource
management teams in a lot of different companies. By definition, employee empowerment is simply
giving employees responsibility and authority to make decisions regarding all aspects of product
development or customer service, (Noe, 2016, p. 38). Companies are torn between the pros and cons
of really trusting employees to give them the authority to draw their own conclusions. This is an
important topic in HR because if this idea is done correctly, it can really improve the organizations
overall performance and this in turn will make the company more profitable. An aspect as to why
employee empowerment can help a company or employee is because the employee is held more
accountable for their actions and the outcomes of the events that take place. Either good or bad, they
will feel more connected to the work they are doing and will most certainly make them have a sense of
pride in the job they do (Noe, 2016). Empowering employees can be a way to increase innovation all
throughout companies. All employees should be able to share their ideas on how to make the
organization more efficient, safer, and operate better overall. If management listens to their employees
and implements the ideas they think will work, then this will make employees feel important and more
engaged in the workplace (Noe, 2016). Once employees feel like they have a sense of belonging to the
company, they will be more

Duchess Of Malfi As A Revenge Tragedy Analysis

Webster s Duchess of Malfi as a Revenge Tragedy
A revenge tragedy is one in which the tragedy is brought about by the pursuit and accomplishment of
revenge. In other words, its blood asking for blood. The revenge tragedy was very popular during the
Elizabethan and Jacobean periods, and it owned its popularity largely to the influence of Seneca, the
ancient Roman dramatist. Revenge tragedy is different from other tragedies in the sense that the whole
part of the tragedy will be based on revenge. In Shakespeare s Macbeth, though Macduff kills
Macbeth to avenge the killing of his family, the play can t be called a revenge tragedy as Macbeth
himself is responsible for his own tragic end. The Duchess of Malfi by the English dramatist John ...

There is no ghost but the echo from the Duchess tomb fulfils one of the functions of the ghost of
revenge tragedy. The voice warns a doomed man of his danger and, at the same time, reveals the
unknown fact of its own death. The play is sometimes ridiculed by modern critics for the excessive
violence and horror. The severed hands of dead Antonio, the wax figures of the Duchess children,
dance of the mad men, the appearance of the tomb maker, and the executioner with all the apparatus of
death bring in the elements of horror in the play. In a typical revenge play, the protagonist directs his
revenge towards an unjust action, but the vengeance is followed by a series of retributions, which
ultimately lead to the death of many characters. The Duchess, Anotonio, Cardinal, Ferdinand, Julia,
Bosola etc are all murdered for revenge. Though it begins as a love story it ends as a dreadful tragedy.
The violence and the horror scenes give it the touch it needs to be a revenge tragedy. Though all the
main characters are dead order is restored at the end. The Antonio s eldest son is raised to the throne

Examples Of Moral Decay In The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, depicts the corrupt lifestyle in the 1920 s. The theme of
moral decay is addressed numerous times through out the novel by characters actions and expressions.
Narrated by Nick Carraway, The Great Gatsby leans you into the unseen area of the jazz age.
Published in 1925, Fitzgerald explains how criminal doings, lying, and adultery cause the consistent
moral decay through out the novel. Moral decay was first explained by criminal actions as a result of
several events that took place. One event is the illegal usage of drug stores to sell alcohol during the
prohibition. This is performed by Jay Gatsby; a rich man that everyone is obscured to how he obtains
his great deal of wealth. Fitzgerald clarifies the wonder people had about Gatsby when he states,
Somebody told me that he killed a man once. It s more that he was a German spy during the war. You
look at him sometimes when he thinks nobody s looking at him. I bet he killed a man. (43). The

What Is Ultra s Role In Ww2
ULTRA was a code name for information collected from enemy signals during World War II.
Brigadier Bill Williams, a top British intelligence adviser, credited ULTRA with providing the military
with intelligence that would ensure defeat of the Germans. Though this claim is an exaggeration,
ULTRA certainly was an important factor in the triumph of the Allies over the Germans and Italians (
Axis ) during World War II. The insight it provided into the Axis strategies and plans played an
important role in battles on water, land, and in the air. The existence of ULTRA allowed for the British

ULTRA not only informed the Allies of the Axis s fuel and ammunition shortages, it also allowed for
the Allies to further disrupt the Axis oil industry. The extreme effectiveness of the bombing campaign

ULTRA. ULTRA also supplied the Allies with the information that the oil and ammunition shortages
were not limited to a section of German forces but existed throughout all of them. A specific example
of the Allies exploitation of this information was during the struggle for domination of the air over
Sicily. During this time ULTRA helped Allied forces locate Axis forces on the airfields in Sicily and
southern Italy. The exploitation of Axis weaknesses were possible with the help of ULTRA intercepts.
ULTRA evened the playing field between the smaller British air force and the Luftwaffe, almost

Research Paper On Giant Panda Feces
WHAT?
The problem is that giant pandas are eating their way to extinction. For around 7 million years, giant
pandas have been eating bamboo and it has been their only source of food for around 2 million years.
Studies have proven through a genetic analysis that tested samples of their feces that giant pandas
have microbes living within them that allow them to actually eat meat. However, over the course of
their lifetime, giant pandas half adapted to primarily eating just bamboo. Researchers are worried that
because of the declining rates of bamboo, that the species will go extinct. There are only around 1,600
giant pandas still living in the forest areas of China. The scientists who developed the study of
examining giant panda feces said, The peculiar characteristics of its gut microbiota may put it at high
risk of extinction. Although their microbes allow giant pandas to eat meat, they have been so used to
eating bamboo that they cannot just switch their food source to something else.

Competitive Advantage Of Apple
Part A: Blog entries
Product Apple
Launching a product which meets and even exceeds customer needs is crucial to the success of a
company. An example of that type of company is Apple. The American based technological giant has
been dominating the market for years and there are several reasons for that. Firstly, Apple s products
make their users feel unique. It is the brand name and the quality, associated with it, that make people
love Apple. What is more, Apple has a lot of technological advantages and resources, for example,
they were the first company to launch a tablet the iPad. Finally, they have a lot of skills in terms of
knowledge and creativity of their employees. All of the above mentioned reasons provide Apple with a
competitive advantage.
I bought my first iPhone five years ago. At that time, I would have never thought that I would want to
use Apple products for the rest of my life. What I enjoy most about this product is its simplicity as
well as the amazing opportunities it gives to me. From guiding me through my jogging routine in the

intense? There is a film named Maisie moving into her new home that was in the year of 2011 that
was filming about a foster family trying to get along with their adopted foster child named Maisie and
Maisie had temper issues that caused the former foster family to send her back to the care center to be

Jackie Robinson and the Struggle for Equality in Baseball...
Jackie Robinson and the Struggle for Equality in Baseball
Baseball has always been known as America s pastime. But America s pastime, along with America s
past, have both been saturated with the brutal force of racism. For hundreds of years, from the time of
slavery until the middle of the 20th century, African American children rounded up their friends and
headed to the baseball diamond. There, for thousands of young black players, the smell of the grass,
the cloud of dust that formed when running the ninety feet between bases, and the feeling of safely
sliding into homeplate for a run marked the glimmer of fun and excitement in an otherwise dreary day.
However, due to the color of their skin, black children were not awarded these ... Show more content

This feeling was felt until April 15, 1947, until the man who would change all this stepped up to bat,
marking the first time an African American played in the major leagues.# Jackie Robinson was the
man, and as far as the African American race is concerned, Jackie Robinson is the man. The day has
lived in history as the first day of the beginning of a new truth. That, with hard work and a heart the
size of a watermelon, black people could aspire to be more. Jackie Robinson is responsible for the
truth of hope, a truth more powerful than any other. With this new hope, Jackie Robinson and the
African American race marked the beginning of the struggle for the ultimate holy grail...equality. Jack
Roosevelt Robinson was born on January 31, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia. The grandson of a slave and son
of a sharecropper, Jackie, as he become known, struggled from the very beginning. He was the
youngest of five children in a poor family. After his father abandoned him at the age of one, his
mother was forced to work many jobs just to support the family.# Jackie was very outspoken from the
beginning. As a young child confronted with the everyday racist taunts from nearby white children,
Jackie lashed back and always stood up for himself, sometimes to the tune of beatings from the
children. But Jackie didn t care. Even

Wildlife Is Being Threatened But We Can Protect It
Have you ever wanted to have a bonfire? Do you love the home you live in? Do you ever waste the
water you drink? The next time you focus on these conveniences or advantages of your life, consider
what you re doing to the wildlife environment. Wildlife habitats are being destroyed in many ways by
many factors. For the purpose of this paper I m going to focus on the following five areas.
Increased Development
Fire
Pollution of water
Redistribution of water
Natural Disasters
All three factors above represent destructive factors contributing to habitat destruction. A habitat is
defined as an undisturbed natural region in which wildlife lives. For example, fish live in ponds, bears
and wolves, as well as deer and squirrels live in the forest. Lizards and snakes reside in the desert. To
begin with, increased development is a major effect of threatening wildlife. Agriculture is causing
wildlife to be destroyed because forests are being turned into croplands. They re increasing pressure to
redevelop land conservation and crops. Agriculture is killing wildlife because the habitats are being
taken over by croplands. Deserts and forests are continually being wiped out by developers and
investors who are more interested in making money than preserving wildlife. Habitat destruction is
increased by the rapidly growing human population. As populations increase, we, as humans tend to
demand the use of more agricultural land consumption to build our cities and towns and

Memory Skills
TRAIN YOUR BRAIN 2
INTRODUCTION
What is Memory?
Memory refers to a mental process that is used to gain, gather, and recover information. The
information that is stored in our memory with the help of our senses will be processed by numerous
systems all through our brain, and it will be accumulated for later use (Mason, 2003 2006). Gordon
and Berger (2003) said that there are two basic kinds of memory: ordinary and intelligent memory.
Ordinary memory is remembering specific names of people, time, place, locations of certain things,
and things to be done. It is comparatively fragile for it stores information for a few minutes, and that
information will soon be forgotten. Thus, it is what fails when we can t remember something. We are

As part of this strategy, we have to determine first what our priorities are. It is essential to distinguish
which things are worth giving attention to and which can be get rid of.
Distractions are everywhere, and they prevent us from doing the things that need to be done. So we
must avoid distractions and ignore all unimportant things in order to complete a certain task and to
avoid forgetting. With this in mind, we shouldn t be disturbed by irrelevant TRAIN YOUR BRAIN 5
things around us because with fewer distractions, it is easier for our mind to focus and work faster. In
enhancing our ability to pay attention, we really need to focus consciously. If we can t focus, we will
not remember what we are trying to learn. Moreover, we tend to procrastinate which is not good. For
this reason, we need to do the important things now while we still have plenty of time. It s simple, if
we can avoid procrastinating, we won t forget anything. In addition to that, we can only concentrate on
one thing at any time. Even though we can multi task, it is still impossible for us to handle different
tasks at the same time especially when they both require mental process. Absolutely, we can t give our
full attention to those; as a result, we absorb nothing.
Another way that hinders our ability to pay attention is being absent minded. For instance, when we
are about to go to specific place to get something, we suddenly

Why Fear Plays From The World Of Bull Riding Or Motorcycle...
The mental game; every athlete must play the mental game and it s especially prevalent within the
world of bull riding or motorcycle racing. When I ponder my days of riding bulls (for a short period)
and now racing motorcycles, the one key emotion that sticks out like a broken bone from an arm after
a bad crash is most certainly fear. With these two sports, fear is the prevailing emotion that the athletes
feed off of and at times, attempt to suppress and control. It s key to understand why fear plays such a
major role when looking at these sports objectively. Think about what might happen. The
repercussions range from some bruises and broken bones to death and permanent disfigurement. So it
is very natural for the athlete to have to deal with the fear of what might go wrong . There are
countless times that when it came time for me to slide onto my bull, fear would completely
overwhelm me. I was not just forced, but completely pushed into a middle state of panic. All of a
sudden my vision narrowed, my breathing became very quick and my pulse could be felt in my
temples; racing well over 100 beats per minute. Because of this reaction to fear I usually walked away
defeated because I was unable function; I was frozen. It must be understood that fear is a very natural
reaction as the human brain tends to want to preserve itself. However, fear can often hold athletes like
bull riders or motorcycle races back because we forget the task at hand: doing the very best we

In December 1993, the Aesop 1000 system was approved by the FDA. It became the first surgical visual aid robotic device certified by the FDA. The foot pedals, although easy to control for well trained surgeons, were a problem for new users as they had to look down on the pedals before they could adjust them. Aesop 2000 released in 1996 used voice control, the Aesop 3000 released in 1998 added another degree of freedom in the arm, and the Aesop HR version was networked with other smart devices. • 3. Service Quality Of English Islamic Banks Abdullrahim (2010) in her dissertation titled Service Quality of English Islamic Banks used a qualitative focus groups research methodology as a primary data collection, which is closely related to the methodology I will propose to use in my study. Abdullrahim (2010) used a mixed methodology of qualitative (focus group) and quantitative (questionnaire) to conduct the study. A modified service quality model (SERVQUAL) was used to measure the quality of service in Islamic banks in the United Kingdom (UK). The quality service model can be described as a degree and direction of the difference between customer perception and customer expectation. The researcher stated that Islamic banking in the UK, Britain has the most active and developed Islamic banking sector in the European Union and is leading the way for Islamic banking in the west (Abdullrahim, 2010, p. 1). The researcher focused on Muslims in the UK and what are their perceptions and evaluation of service of the quality of Islamic banks in the UK. The researcher studied Islamic banks in England because there are millions of Muslims who lived in the UK and banks started to offer Sharia products (Abdullrahim, 2010; Hanlon, 2004). Abdullrahim conducted the focus group in two stages. First, Eight focus group discussions were conducted with 36 Muslims (Abdullrahim, 2010, p. 11). Second, a pilot study, questionnaires were distributed by hand to Muslims in 10 cities (Abdullrahim, 2010, p. 11). Abdullrahim asked open ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From the Great Mahele to the Overthrow, the native Hawaiians have experienced nothing but suppression in their own lands. Following the events of 1892 (the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy) Hawaiians have struggled to rebuild as a nation. Sovereignty groups have formulated over the years and have since fought to give a voice back to the Hawaiian Kingdom. Big name organizations such as Ka Lāhui, Nation of Hawaii, OHA, and even Kamehameha Schools were established in order to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and keep Hawaii in the fight for their own self determination. While these objects represent American culture greatly, I feel as if Donald Trump, fireworks, and Wal Mart do a much better job. People may argue with me, but these three items symbolize the core of America. The Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump represents the average American citizen. Many speculate just how Trump got this far in the 2016 election, but it doesn t surprise me. He is like any other older white man, a loud, egotistical, bigot, who is very opinionated. The closed mindedness of Trump represents just how most of Americans are stuck in their ways, and only looking out for themselves. Hopefully, good ol bigotry and misogyny can make America great again. Fireworks have been shot off on the fourth of July for ages in America Not only are they a tradition, but a symbol of America as well. Fireworks are unnecessary, flashy, and big, like America. • 13. The Cultural Similarities Differences Between the Inca... Though the Inca and Mayan empires existed at different times in history, they have a few things in common. Like other societies throughout history though, they have many things that set them apart from each other. The biggest similarity they share is that they both had control of massive empires that eventually ceased to exist. To start off with, the Mayans existed earlier in history than the Incas. The Mayans existed from 1000 BC to AD 1697 and no one is quite certain what wiped out their ancient civilization. Mayans are still around today but not as many as there once was. The Incas existed from AD 1438 to around 1534 and were wiped out by a combination of smallpox and being conquered by the Spanish. Although the Mayans existed ... Along the language lines, the Mayans also were very good with art. Left behind in their cities were hieroglyphics and art depicting their everyday life. They even had a written language as well. The Incas, however, only had a spoke language and no written language. I believe this also goes to show the intellectual capacity of the Mayans versus that of the Incas. While the Incas were intelligent, they were no competition for that of the Mayans. When many people think of the Incas and Mayans, they think of brutality. This is a common misconception though. Although the Mayans were brutal, the Incas were not. They preferred to settle disputes amicably and peacefully. Even though they were peaceful, they still would become viscous fighters when pressed. The Mayans were, by far, much more keen to brutality than the Incas. Calendars divided time over extended periods and arranged them in order, making them convenient for regulating daily life, religious holidays, and for historical and scientific purposes (Calendar). Throughout history, humans have used signs offered by nature, such as the phases of the Moon or the movement of the Sun, as the basis for various calendar systems (Calendar). During the Roman Republic, a group of priests called pontifices held the responsibility of shortening February and inserting a new month into the year (Wigelsworth). However, these authorities were not always effective; in times of war, when the group of priests did not meet regularly, the calendar fell out of line (Aldrete). Roman priests ultimately did not care about the accuracy of the calendar and were motivated by their own political interests; sometimes, they even altered the calendar to reduce or extend the terms of certain public officials (Roman Republican Calendar). Though the objective was at first to have a calendar accurate to natural events, the people who implemented reform had ulterior motives, hindering the effectiveness of the proposals they were responsible for. Though it was vital for the Roman government to serve the gods by celebrating religious festivals at the right time, the government clearly did not always do its duty (Emmons). 1 Indeed, cosmetic edits to the calendar honored the power of authorities. The idea of spiritual formation has somehow gotten lost in the shuffle of going to church versus retaining the understanding that we in fact are the church and we carry within us the knowledge and the skill to be transformational. The role of evangelism in Christian education is to aid in church growth and expansion, as well as advancement toward the salvation of souls. Diane J. Hymans suggests that evangelism and education suggests a variety of meanings and that it is a matter of language that is clouding what the connotation of the definitions of evangelism, discipleship, and education are (Hymans). She states that evangelism is making the gospel known in church and world , while education invites people to understand and claim their identity as baptized children of God and to clarify their vocation as people called by God to live lives characterized by love of God and neighbor (Hymans). Was Great Britain right not to include colonists to represent in Parliament? Was it right for Great Britain to tax the colonists or were the colonists right to revolt? The leading events toward the American Revolution started when the colonist objected paying taxes to Great Britain. My earliest enculturation experience is when I was in kindergarten. I learned about culturally accepted behaviors for both genders and experienced double standard between male and female. My family and my peers were the most influential in this enculturation experience as they were the people I associated with during my early childhood. My early childhood experience of double standard has shaped my values and how I perceive my culture. Double standard varies culture by culture, in this paper, I will be explaining my double standard enculturation experience in my Chinese culture. In the Chinese culture, we are known to be a male dominant culture. Many traditional Chinese family values the males in the family more than the females because males are usually the head of the family. Males are given more freedom when they are growing up. Female children are often restricted to do many activities because of society expectation for females role and behavior. The object of this assignment frightened the heck out of me and I truly wasn t sure if I was going to be able to complete it. The unspoken rule that I chose to break was the infamous standing in a line waiting your turn rule, I chose to cut into the line without saying anything at all. The first time I decided to do my deviant act was while standing in line at the Tim Hortons at St. Paul s Hospital, which was especially hard for me because I ve been going there for the past four years to visit my mother. There was about 12 people standing in the line when I walked up to it and remembered that I needed to do my deviant act and that now was as good a time as any. I felt very nervous about what I was planning to do and honestly a little afraid because the area isn t exactly the greatest area s in the city. • 33. The Importance Of Employee Empowerment In Human Resource... Employee empowerment has been a major topic that is discussed thoroughly by human resource management teams in a lot of different companies. By definition, employee empowerment is simply giving employees responsibility and authority to make decisions regarding all aspects of product development or customer service, (Noe, 2016, p. 38). Companies are torn between the pros and cons of really trusting employees to give them the authority to draw their own conclusions. This is an important topic in HR because if this idea is done correctly, it can really improve the organizations overall performance and this in turn will make the company more profitable. An aspect as to why employee empowerment can help a company or employee is because the employee is held more accountable for their actions and the outcomes of the events that take place. Either good or bad, they will feel more connected to the work they are doing and will most certainly make them have a sense of pride in the job they do (Noe, 2016). Empowering employees can be a way to increase innovation all throughout companies. All employees should be able to share their ideas on how to make the organization more efficient, safer, and operate better overall. If management listens to their employees and implements the ideas they think will work, then this will make employees feel important and more engaged in the workplace (Noe, 2016). The revenge tragedy was very popular during the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods, and it owned its popularity largely to the influence of Seneca, the ancient Roman dramatist. Revenge tragedy is different from other tragedies in the sense that the whole part of the tragedy will be based on revenge. The voice warns a doomed man of his danger and, at the same time, reveals the unknown fact of its own death. The play is sometimes ridiculed by modern critics for the excessive violence and horror. The severed hands of dead Antonio, the wax figures of the Duchess children, dance of the mad men, the appearance of the tomb maker, and the executioner with all the apparatus of death bring in the elements of horror in the play. In a typical revenge play, the protagonist directs his revenge towards an unjust action, but the vengeance is followed by a series of retributions, which ultimately lead to the death of many characters. The Duchess, Anotonio, Cardinal, Ferdinand, Julia, Bosola etc are all murdered for revenge. Though it begins as a love story it ends as a dreadful tragedy.
